Roberto Cavalli approves of neither American fashion not its arbiter, Queen Anna Wintour.
In a video interview aired on D, the weekly style magazine from Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the flamboyant Italian designer unleashed a tirade of abuse against the U.S. industry.
‘Just look at American fashion,' he said, 'which is almost fashion. It's terrible and you almost can't look at it.’
But there was more to come: 'It has been driven by a great journalist, Anna Wintour, who wants all women to be like her and to dress the way she does.

Beyonce Knowles, Grammy Award-winning singer and new mother, was spotted leaving an adult education center in New York City recently, causing many to speculate about her attempt to continue her education.

Penélope Cruz may be re-teaming with husband Javier Bardem for The Counselor, the drug drama from Cormac McCarthy and Ridley Scott.
The drama is one of the town’s hottest projects, partly due to the speed of it coming together, thanks in part to the star power associated with it. McCarthy surprised his agents earlier this year with not a new book but a script, which was quickly picked up by producers Nick Wechsler and Paula Mae Schwartz.
Scott then decided to make it his next project, bringing with him Michael Fassbender, with whom he had just finished Prometheus. Brad Pitt and Bardem also quickly hopped on the train.
The story, like McCarthy’s No County for Old Men is set along the Mexican border and centers on an attorney (Fassbender), a good man in need of money who decides to dabble in the cocaine trade. He teams up with a rich acquaintance (Bardem) for the new business that also brings in a shady type (Pitt). Things don’t go as planned in what is described as a dialogue-heavy, violent and racy script.

SEOUL - US pop diva Lady Gaga arrived in South Korea late Friday, one week before a Seoul performance which will kick off her third concert tour.
The singer, wearing a floor-length low-cut white dress, white gloves and a pearl-encrusted mask, blew kisses to fans at Seoul's Gimpo airport who tried to snap her image on smartphones.
Her schedule in South Korea for the coming week was unclear and concert organisers Hyundai Card declined to give details.
"The Born This Way Ball" tour begins on April 27 at Seoul's Olympic Stadium.
From there Lady Gaga will take her hits and extravagant costumes to Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia, and then on to 21 European cities.

In Sunday's episode, Dormer had to play the not-so-shy virgin Margaery Tyrell, who tries to consummate her marriage with Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony). When he can't quite rise to the occasion, she offers to enlist the help of her brother Loras (Finn Jones), who just so happens to be Renly's lover.
"I think she's empathetic and understanding. There is no malice, there is no anger toward Renly and his love for her brother," Dormer tells TVGuide.com. "The family bonds between the Tyrells is incredibly strong. She has a lot of love and respect for Loras, and since Loras chooses Renly to love, I think she tries to be supportive.
"The political aspect is a practicality of the marriage in order to benefit all parties, to benefit their house, to benefit Renly. The Baratheons may be the future of Westeros," she continues. "I think that she genuinely sees that they can be a trinity and that they can work as three. They say that the strongest shape is a triangle, so I think she believes there is an exciting, plausible future of the three of them working together."
Check out what else Dormer has to say about Margaery's practicality, locking horns with Littlefinger and wearing that plunging neckline.

Frank Ocean's slow-motion song of devotion “Thinking About You” has a complex history. First written for R&B vocalist Bridgett Kelly, Ocean's version was originally leaked last year only to be leaked again as up updated re-mastered this version this March. Now, we finally have an official video for the song the to be the lead single off Ocean's next LP.
Directed by Tumblr natives the High 5 Collective, the vid sets Ocean's doe-eyed crooning against something of an inter-dimensional love story, that or a dreamcatcher-inspired fever dream. Either way, pioneer triage and white-eyed shaman were not what we we're expecting, but we couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. source 1 2
What does President Barack Obama have in common with Elmo, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Michele Bachmann and Bruce Springsteen? As of next week, they will all have appeared as guests on comic Jimmy Fallon's late-night show.
Obama will make his first appearance on the irreverent program in a segment taped Tuesday from the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which will be shown that night, NBC announced Friday. Dave Matthews will be the musical guest.
White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer said on Twitter that Obama would promote a plan to keep student-loan costs in check.
Fallon is no stranger to political guests — over the past year, he's hosted outspoken Mitt Romney supporter Donald Trump, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and former New York city mayor and failed presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.
But it was Bachmann's November 21st appearance that generated the most publicity after Fallon's house band, the Roots, welcomed her on the set with a riff from Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch." The result was a political uproar that led Fallon to apologize to the Congresswoman on Twitter.
omg I hope Jimmy can get him to do something silly!
Both The CW’s The Vampire Diaries — despite letting loose with a real crowd-pleaser — and bubble show The Secret Circle dropped significantly this Thursday night upon returning from three-week breaks.
TVD, with 2.18 million total viewers and a season-low 1.0 demo rating, was down 20 and 23 percent, respectively, while its companion show fell 36 and 29 percent to series lows of 1.11 mil and 0.5.
The night’s only demo gainers, meanwhile, were 30 Rock (3.2 mil/1.5, up 6 percent), Grey’s Anatomy (rising 10 percent to 10-week highs of 9.7 mil and 3.2) and Scandal (7.35 mil/2.1), which inched up for a second straight week since its debut.
Elsewhere on the night…
8 pm | American Idol led Thursday with 14.6 million total viewers and a 3.9 rating, down 8 percent week-to-week. Placing third behind a Big Bang repeat and Rules of Engagement, Missing (7.1 mil/1.3) slipped 11 and 7 percent. Community (2.9 mil/1.3) dipped a tenth in the demo.
9 pm | Touch (7.35 mil/2.1) was down 9 percent. The Office held steady at 4.3 mil/2.2, while Parks and Recreation (3.53 mil/1.8) returned from hiatus matching its most recent tallies, and improving on Up All Night‘s finale by 37 and 50 percent. Parks also demonstrated 82 percent demo retention out of The Office, versus the 69 percent it averaged in the 9:30 spot last season.
10 pm | Awake (2.74 mil/0.8) added a handful of viewers but dipped another tenth in the demo.

Who'da thunk: The Canadian singer-songwriter makes aggressive The Hunter pummeler "Black Tongue" her breezy, bouncy own, albeit with more than her usual grit, while the Atlanta metalheads do similarly with Feist's off-kilterer-than-usual Metals (hey!) racket-maker "A Commotion," seizing on the song's insistent pulse and throttling it half out of its mind. "The grudge has still got your heart," the prehistoric fellas repeat, maybe a touch more sweetly than usual. Match made.

Taylor Swift is circling the role of Joni Mitchell in Sony Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures' adaptation of Sheila Weller's book "Girls Like Us," which would mark the pop star's first turn in a bigscreen drama.
Pic examines the careers of singers Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King. Swift does not have an official offer, but has been linked to the Mitchell role for several months as other actresses have auditioned to play Simon and King, including Alison Pill ("Midnight in Paris") for the latter singer.
"House" exec producer Katie Jacobs, who optioned the book several years ago, is directing from a script by John Sayles. Lorenzo di Bonaventura ("Transformers") is set to produce the Sony pic, which has not yet been greenlit, though it is tentatively skedded to start production later this year when the three leads' schedules allow for filming.
Swift, who's currently featured on "The Hunger Games" soundtrack, made her feature acting debut in ensemble rom-com "Valentine's Day," and recently voiced a role in Universal's "The Lorax." Before that, she appeared as herself in the 2009 Miley Cyrus vehicle "Hannah Montana: The Movie."
Swift is repped by WME.
"It's beautiful," she told E! News about the collaboration for Bieber's June release, Believe. "I don't know if it's going to make it on the record, but it is beautiful."
Whether or not it makes the cut, Swift is only one of many artists — including Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine and Bieber's pals Kanye West and Drake — who have hit the studio with the Biebs. As for working together, neither Selena nor Justin have mentioned a duet for his album.

“American Idol” season 10 alumnus Stefano Langone has returned to the spotlight with a flourish in his first single “I’m On A Roll” featuring New Boyz and Rock Mafia. We don’t doubt Stefano’s “midas touch” as he sings of good times with friends and living “tonight like it’s the best night of my life!”
If you recall Stefano’s very appearance on “American Idol” last year was a miracle after audiences learned of his serious injuries caused by a reckless drunk driver. He has not only overcome his hardships but is overjoyed as he sings “I’m going to light it up like the fourth of July / If I can keep it up I ain’t sleeping tonight / ‘cuz up ’til now it’s been one hell of a ride.”
Stefano has even gone so far as offered major advice to the recently eliminated Colton Dixon saying: “Make sure you have your eye on the prize,” he said. “Keep your chin up and keep working as hard as you can.” The 23-year-old is set to return to the Idol stage and perform “I’m On A Roll.”

CHCH Television viewers got more than an eyeful this morning.
At the end of the Morning Live news broadcast, hard core gay sex scenes took over screens for about 3 minutes before the channel went dark.
CHCH which is owned by Channel Zero also operates several adult movie services.
Viewers took to twitter right away tweeting out things like "Anyone watching CHCH see what I just seen? #fail" & "Someone hacked CHCH news to play gay porn... And every TV in the gym and starbucks was set to it..."
The Hamilton-based channel also took to twitter to issue the following apology:
"CHCH apologizes to some of our cable viewers for inappropriate content that aired around 9:30 this morning. We would like to assure all of our viewers that the content did not originate at this station, but was the result a switching error at one of the cable companies that picks up our signal. While the error was beyond the control of CHCH, we do extend our sincere apologies to our viewers."''
Right in the middle of Morning Live, the signal abruptly cut to HardTV’s broadcast of the Lucas Entertainment adult video After Hours. The hardcore movie, in which “ten international sluts cruise each other on the streets of Berlin,” played for several minutes until the station regained control of its broadcast.
According to Lucas Entertainment’s website, After Hours shows how “when the day is done the men in suits waste no time stripping down and fucking hard!”

Emeli on the theme for the music video
"During my time studying medicine, I found it hard to write, but one of the things that inspired me were the patients and the interaction that they had with their loved ones during their time of illness. When people arrived at the hospital, money and status became irrelevant and only health mattered, which sparked an honesty between people which was amazing. This interaction, declaration of support and love, was the inspiration for "My Kind Of Love" and something I wanted to try and portray in this video. Thank you. Emeli x"

The Anti-Defamation League in Philadelphia publicly objected Thursday to a T-shirt being sold by Urban Outfitters Inc. that bears a symbol that critics said resembles a Star of David patch that Jews in Nazi Europe were forced to wear during the Holocaust, sometimes on concentration camp uniforms.
“We find this use of symbolism to be extremely distasteful and offensive, and we are outraged that your company would make this product available to your customers,” Barry Morrison, regional director of the ADL, wrote in a letter e-mailed to Richard A. Hayne, chairman and chief executive of the retail corporation headquartered at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. ADL shared the letter with the media.
A phone call to Urban Outfitters spokesman Ed Looram was not immediately returned.
The shirt was brought to the ADL’s attention earlier in the day by an affiliate in Chicago, Morrison said. The $100 Kellog Tee — a yellow cotton shirt from the Denmark-based Wood Wood label — features a six-pointed blue patch embroidered to a chest pocket. It was available on the company’s website as of Thursday afternoon.

I loved this episode, one of the best this season, in my opinion.
Editor’s Note: Journalist Maria Murriel had the opportunity to attend a press junket with a few of the cast members of HBO’s Game of Thrones recently. Today she shares with us part of her interviews with Richard Madden (Robb Stark) and Alfie Allen, including why Allen would have loved to play the role of Arya Stark and how Madden sometimes forgets she’s not his real sister.
I couldn’t believe the text my editor sent me:
“Ack, last-minute question! Are you available to attend a roundtable with the Game of Thrones folks tomorrow?”
What?! Hell yes, I’m available!
And so I covered the event for the Miami New Times, and found that Allen would have loved to play Arya Stark.
“It’s so boring, though,” he whined, “because everyone really likes her. I love Arya, but [she’s] everyone’s choice. I love Arya’s character.”
He also said he would have liked to play Melisandre of Asshai or Tyrion Lannister. But he’s happy to play such a “complex character” as Theon Greyjoy, and he’s having fun with it.
One reporter asked him how uncomfortable it was to film scenes like "The Night Lands'" boat scene, to which he replied as though the question were ridiculous and inconceivable. He did not, in fact, find such scenes uncomfortable.
“I love it!” he laughed, “Definitely not [uncomfortable], man, it’s great! If you’re going to do these things, you’ve got to enjoy ‘em.”
To be fair, he did say he thought his cohort in the scene in question was “brilliant.”( Collapse )

WHAT THE SHIT. SERIOUSLY? BOTH OF THESE TOURS ARE HAPPENING WHILE I'M IN THE UK? REALLY? I've never missed an Epica show in Seattle ever, I am so heartbroken. Only one .gif can express how I feel right now:
PTSD: civilians just love to paint veterans as riddled with this disease, causing them to become violent, unhinged lunatics who will explode at the slightest provocation. Look at just about any news story where a violent crime is committed by a veteran, and PTSD is almost immediately floated as the reason. In the media narrative, violence and PTSD go hand-in-hand. At the same time, troops are criticized for not coming forward and admitting they have a problem, and seeking help for it. (Gee, could it possibly be because we paint veterans with PTSD as homicidal lunatics?)
Dr. Phil, arguably one of the most popular talk show hosts on the planet, decided to feature this issue on his show this week. And while he could have taken a reasonable approach, he went straight for the gut instead. Titling the show “From Heroes To Monsters”, he painted a picture of vets with PTSD as ticking time bombs of violence, describing them as damaged goods who “destroy families” and “dismantle marriages”.

This asshat really needs to stop. Calling your segment 'Heroes to Monsters' is disgusting and unfair to these service members who didn't ask to come back home with these issues. Instead of calling them monsters, get them help.
Earlier this year, beneath the wind-whipped tarpaulin of a catering tent in Gloucester, I was working on a film with the actor Malcolm Sinclair. Over scrambled eggs at an ungodly hour, he told me something I had not previously known: when Christopher Reeve was young, barely out of Juilliard, he was roundly mocked by his peers on Broadway for accepting the role of Superman. It was considered an ignoble thing for a classical actor to do.
I grew up watching Superman. As a child, when I first learned to dive into a swimming pool, I wasn't diving, I was flying, like Superman. I used to dream of rescuing a girl I had a crush on (my Lois Lane) from a playground bully (General Zod). Reeve, to my mind, was the first real superhero.

According to Radar Online, Mulligan, 26, and Mumford, 24, will tie the knot in front of close family and friends.
"She is absolutely walking on air and can hardly contain her excitement . . . they are madly in love and know they are perfect for each other," a source told Radar Online.
"It's a dream come true for Carey," the source added.
Rumor or not, the timing of the wedding is not a terrible shock, considering how fast the couple fell for each other. Mulligan began dating the Mumford & Sons front man nearly one year ago, following a long relationship with her "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" co-star Shia LaBeouf.
Five months later, Mumford popped the question.
The fairly private pair have actually known each other since childhood. According to Us Weekly, Mulligan and Mumford were pen pals in London but lost touch "long ago." Their relationship picked up in early 2011, when Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal went to a private Mumford & Sons show in Nashville.
"At the end of the night there were just there musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys . . . we had some pizza and they just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on 'Amazing Grace.' Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly," a source told Us Weekly at the time.
Mulligan, who shot to mainstream Hollywood fame in 2009's "An Education," has since been on a slew of major features, co-starring with the likes of Ryan Gosling ("Drive") and Michael Fassbender ("Shame"). The English actress recently wrapped production on the film adaptation of "The Great Gatsby," opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher. Mulligan is set to play Daisy Buchanan.
Meanwhile, Mumford and his band are gearing up to record the follow-up to their 2009 debut album "Sigh No More," which has reached quadruple platinum in the UK, double platinum in the US and Canada, and Platinum in Europe and New Zealand.
Mumford was previously linked to British songstress Laura Marling.
A friend of Marcus' inadvertently confirmed:
My anticipation for Skyfall increased so much when I found out that Ola would be in it! <3 But the whole cast is pretty fabulous, tbh. And I'm sure the Shanghai-scenes will be stunning.
A rating fairly similar to Marvel Studios' last two big-screen outings, their anticipated Joss Whedon-directed "superhero team-up of a lifetime," The Avengers, has finally received it's own classification.
PG-13 for Intense Sequences of Sci-Fi Violence and Action Throughout, and a Mild Drug Reference.
The main difference between Captain America: The First Avenger and Thr Avengers' classification is the "Mild Drug Reference" which, according to early reviews, regards to (SPOILER/) how Dr. Bruce Banner has been able to refrain himself from "Hulking out" for nearly two years. Also, the apparent reason for Marvel's The Avengers received this classification so late is possibly due to the last-minute inclusion of a heavily rumored "extra scene" AFTER the credits; a mid-credits scene was shown in early screenings. What do you think?

NBC has given its first pilot order for the 2012-13 season, bringing former Friends star Matthew Perry back to the network that helped make him a star.
The struggling network has ordered to series Go On, a single-camera project from Friends and Joey writer Scott Silveri and Universal Television. Todd Holland will executive produce and direct the pilot.
Go On centers on an irreverent yet charming sportscaster (Perry) who tries to move on from loss and finds solace from the members of his mandatory group-therapy sessions.

(From House of Geekery) Warning: Possible Comic Book Spoilers
Background: Two of DC and Marvel’s flagship villains go head to head in a match up that will critique their abilities, social relevance and overall storyline. The Joker is one of the most renowned and widely publicized villains in the comic world. The arch nemesis of Batman, this clown prince is a vicious psychopath who kills for amusement and tortures the innocent, all in a day’s work. His first official appearance was in 1941 but it’s his 1951 Detective Comics introduction that gave birth to The Joker we all know. This initial transformation occurs as the “Red Hood” when he is chased by Batman and falls into a vat of chemicals, turning his skin white, his hair green and putting a permanent grin on his face. The Joker is one of the few characters to have never had his true name or origins revealed, aside from a segment in The Killing Joke where it’s been said that he’s lied so much about his past that he doesn’t remember the actual story. He’s done serious damage in Gotham city with the infamous attack on Barbara Gordon that led to her paralysis, the brutal murder of Jason Todd (the second Robin) as well as the murder of Jim Gordon’s wife. Wherever there is pure mayhem and a sadistic act of violence in Gotham City there is The Joker.( Collapse )Source

Ever since Nicki Minaj deaded her twitter account, cutting off nearly 11 million followers, many of the extremely active members of her Barbz fan community have been frantically trying to figure out if this was just a temporary hiatus? Like a social media time out for some fan sites that angered her?
Meanwhile, Nicki has been in London doing press all week, along with her right hand man Safaree, and new team addition Manny Hailey (Keyshia Cole’s former manager). She told UK TV host Graham Norton that a “voice inside her head” told her to delete her twitter page.
But when she sat down with my UK radio boss, Tim Westwood…Nicki was much more blunt. Not only does she seem adamant about not re-activating her massive twitter account, but she also talks about “leaving the game.” All of this delivered in a mix of British and Lil Wayne impersonation voices. (rme)

Nicki: And now you got it. You got it.. cruising down like this, know what I’m saying.. in the “Hov Lane”… “Beez In The Trap” (*from here on, Nicki uses her Lil Wayne impersonation voice*)
Nicki: People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to the essence… This is my fourth mixtape really. You know what I’m saying. The Kid did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the Kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game.
Safaree: They ungrateful, they ungrateful in these streets
Nicki: Not my barbz, but all these other folks finna make her leave the game.
Hmm. Who do you think Nicki is most disgruntled with? The buying public? The press? Radio?

A young Bollywood star, Meenakshi Thapar, has allegedly been kidnapped and beheaded by two fellow actors.
The 26-year-old actress met Amit Jaiswal and his lover Preeti Surin on the set of her latest film, Heroine, the UK's Daily Telegraph reports.
It was there that Jaiswal and Surin heard of her family's wealth, and allegedly hatched a plot to kidnap her.
The duo are said to have invited Thapar to a small town on the Nepalese border, where they took her hostage and demanded 1.5 million Rupees ($A27,800) from her parents, and threatened to force her into pornography if they were not paid.
Although Thapar's parents are thought to have transferred some money to their daughter's captors, the young star was killed soon after.
A detective working on the case told The Telegraph some of the harrowing details:
"She was strangulated in a hotel and her body was hacked into pieces and thrown in a water tank. They threw her head from a moving bus while travelling back to Mumbai."
The case is ongoing.

Recently, we heard that Ben Kingsley was in talks to play the villain in Marvel Studios' third Iron Man film, which begins production next month in North Carolina. Now, Variety reports that Guy Pearce - who recently starred in Lockout and will soon be seen in Ridley Scott's Prometheus - is in final talks to join the cast of Iron Man 3. Pearce will play the geneticist Aldrich Killian. Shane Black is directing the film, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle. Walt Disney Pictures is distributing with Marvel Studios.
The movie will be loosely based on Warren Ellis' "Extremis" storyline (which also influenced the first movie). In the books, Killian co-created the Extremis technology that Iron Man adopts after Killian sells it to terrorists.
Iron Man 3 is set to hit theaters May 3rd, 2013.
