'All just a joke': Pippa Middleton thought gun drama was 'a very funny game'
Pippa Middleton thought the Paris 'gun' waving incident was 'all just a joke', a friend said last night.
The Duchess of Cambridge's sister was pictured in the front seat of a car in Paris on Sunday with the driver seemingly waving a handgun towards a photographer behind them.
Prince William's sister-in-law was pictured in the French capital after attending a lavish fancy dress party to celebrate the 30th birthday of fashion entrepreneur and aristocrat Vicomte Arthur de Soultrait.
De Soultrait can be seen in the back of the Audi convertible sporting a blue baseball cap while Pippa, wearing a pair of dark glasses, is in the front.
Mr de Soultrait's brother, Marcy, last night played down the incident insisting the 'gun' was in fact a child's toy.
He told the Daily Mail: "Pippa is a very good friend of mine and this gun affair is very silly.
"It was a children’s toy that the driver had in his car. Pippa thought it was funny.
"It is fine in France to do that and the police are not investigating. In France there is no problem, just in England. You English think there is a problem, which is crazy.
"I have spoken with Pippa, she thinks this is all a joke and a funny game. We were just having a laugh. We are funny people, it’s what we do."
