Two decades after My Girl, Anna Chlumsky returns with Veep

"I don’t get that whole ‘Oh, what would have happened if I hadn’t pursued acting?’ thing,” says Anna Chlumsky, forking her way through a crêpe at Chelsea’s Le Grainne, where I’d found her quietly reading The Importance of Being Earnest. “I don’t get that itch.” Which is probably because she’s been leading a normal life that most former successful child actors can only imagine living. The 31-year-old Fort Greene resident makes her premium-cable debut this week as Amy Brookheimer, the young chief of staff to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s vice-president, in HBO’s new political sitcom, Veep. It’s her most prominent role since she starred opposite Macaulay Culkin in the 1991 coming-of-age dramedy My Girl, became instantly famous at age 10, then disappeared from Hollywood’s radar almost as quickly. It wasn’t by choice: Parts dried up, she says, “when T&A started to grow,” which casting directors mistook for fat.

THE VOICE DRINKING (You know we'll need it tonight)

The Voice Drinking game brought to you by the eliminated contestants: Shields Brothers!

Watching your favorite contestants on The Voice get eliminated each week can be painful. We suggest you ease the pain with some booze —Blake Shelton style (as long as you're 21 or older, of course.)

To help with this process, former Team Cee Lo contestants The Shields Brothers have created a drinking game for Voice fans.

The rock duo lost in the battle round against former model Erin Martina rookie mistake on Cee Lo’s part if you ask us, but they won’t soon be forgotten. Their humor and crazy antics have continued even off camera.

Tristan Shields got the idea for a drinking game while watching the show after being eliminated.

“I was just drinking a bottle of wine during the last battle round and thought it would be funny to ask the fans for a Voice drinking game,” he told Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively. “Our fans just love it now. It’s a way for them to enjoy the show together.”

Each week, the brothers take new rule suggestions and then post the 10 best rules on their Twitter and Facebook pages the hour before the show starts.

Rihanna in 'white powder' controversy

Rihanna has found herself at the centre of a fresh controversy after posting a picture on Twitter which appeared to show her with a pile of white powder.

The Bajan R&B princess was sitting atop the shoulders of one of her minders at the time the snap was taken, at the Coachella music festival in California.

When fans looked at a close-up of one of the images she put up on Twitter they were amazed to see her fiddling with what appeared to be a pile of powder on top of her minder's shaved head.

But other fans speculated that she may have been rolling a joint on the man's head. The image was not clear enough to be certain.

RiRi, 24, has not commented directly, but simply tweeted: "I'm crazy, and I don't pretend to be anything else." MTV

Ted Nugent Stands By Obama Remarks

Ted Nugent stood by his controversial comments about President Barack Obama and Democrats made over the weekend, telling conservative radio host Dana Loesch on Tuesday that he had been unfairly targeted for saying he would "either be dead or in jail" by next year if Obama is reelected.

"I'm a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally," the rock star complained to Loesch. "And there are some power-abusing, corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth."

Nugent continued: "I spoke at the NRA and will stand by my speech. It's 100 percent positive. It's about we the people taking back our American dream from the corrupt monsters in the federal government under this administration, the communist czars he has appointed."

The Secret Service is reportedly investigating Nugent in the wake of his Saturday tirade at the NRA convention in St. Louis. Nugent's hits include the 1977 classic "Cat Scratch Fever." He has endorsed Mitt Romney for president.

Later in the radio interview, Nugent went after Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who condemned Nugent's remarks on Tuesday as she called on Romney to answer for the rocker's rhetoric with a DNC petition and web video.

"Wasserman Schultz is such a brain-dead, soulless idiot," Nugent told Loesch. "I could not be more proud that this soulless, heartless idiot feebly attempts to find fault with Ted Nugent, because I am on the right track and she just encourages me to stand stronger."

Nugent also compared Wasserman Schultz and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to "varmints."

"Varmints are sometimes clever, but they're really easy to outmaneuver," Nugent said, before calling Pelosi a "sub-human scoundrel."

Nugent also weighed in on Mitt Romney's campaign's response to his remarks. Romney himself has not commented, but campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul deemed Nugent's words "offensive."

"I think Mitt Romney's already denounced my guitar playing because it's too sexy," Nugent said. "Mitt Romney knows what I'm saying is true. He puts it in the words for him, I put in the words for me."

How To Make Glee Worse

While we're still trying to figure out if Glee was actually ever good to begin with, we're positive about one thing: it isn't now. At this rate, we highly doubt Ryan Murphy can turn around his once at-least-entertaining high school singing show. Therefore, instead of getting viewers to start believin' again, we present a handy guide on how he and his writers can make the series even worse. Our apologies in advance if you see any of these pop up in Season 4.

Hot Girls Have Problems Too: The Worst Song Ever Is Pretty Damn Terrible

The hot girls of Double Take are just that — hot girls. But don't let their hotness intimidate you. As they intone in "Hot Problems" — the duo's debut single — "we're just like you, except we're hot."

Oh boy, does it ever get worse.

Surely this video was crafted tongue-in-cheekily: One of the YouTube tags reads "Rebecca Black."

But that could just be the music video's producers, Old Bailey Productions, saying what everybody's thinking. Teen Wolf is coming back y'all

First Look: Teen Wolf Packs In Excitement for Season 2

Full moon? It's more like full swoon with this exclusive first look Teen Wolf's second season. Expected to premiere in early June, MTV's funny, sexy, scary and all-around addictive reboot of the campy film franchise looks to have even more bite this time around, especially now that Scott McCall has embraced his inner lycan. "He's a lot more confident," Tyler Posey says of his alter ego "Last year he was dealing with his unwanted powers, but now that it seems like there is no cure, he's trying to deal with it more maturely, almost like a superhero...he feels like he's responsible because he has these powers."

It's clear from the pic that Scott's new swagger is not lost on Crystal Reed's Allison, despite the fact that she's the daughter of werewolf hunters. "She's learning the ropes not just her father but her grandfather, Gerard," previews Reed of Battlestar Galactica alum Michael Hogan's nasty new role this season. "He is very militant about the way he teaches. But she still wants to be a good girlfriend...she wants to protect Scott and kill everyone else. That is going to be a major, major conflict." Howl yeah, it is!

Arrested Development Episodes To Be Released All At Once

Netflix plans to release all 10 episodes of the rebooted new season of Arrested Development at once.

The Bluth family’s latest adventures will be released streaming on the video service will come out on the same day sometime next year, Netflix chief Ted Sarandos told reporters at National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas.

Sarandos refused to confirm this plan a couple months ago after the service’s first series, Lilyhammer, dropped all its episodes at the same time. But industry sources say Netflix has always planned to use the full-season release strategy as a way to differentiate itself from traditional TV outlets.

AD creator Mitch Hurwitz also told reporters that he had been originally planned to make each episode of season four center around around a different character, the scripts are now more closely resembling the old show. There was no mention of the AD movie, but Hurwitz added that he wouldn’t mind continuing the show on Netflix.

OMG this will be an amazing day

Which AMC pilot would you want to see?

During a recent AMC pilot presentation, in which hopeful writers and producers laid out plans for their shows to the network’s Powers That be, “six scripts [were] identified…as the strongest pilot contenders,” according to Deadline. TOLD YA.com also got a bit of information about each series. After the jump, I’ve ranked the series on how badly I’d want them on AMC, from the least to most interesting sounding.

One note: It’s not a guarantee any of these series from the program will go to pilot (none did last year), but, says Deadline, “The year before, when the showcase was introduced for the first time, the script for “Hell on Wheels” was among the finalists.” So you never know. Here they are.

#6. Chris Mundy‘s “Low Winter Sun,” an adaptation of the New Zealand Gothic murder mystery series

Sounds like “The Killing,” so NEXT.

#5. Jason Cahill‘s “F/V Mean Tide,” about a Maine lobster fishing family

Aren’t there already 67 shows with this exact premise on the Discovery Channel? Jason Cahill does have the “Fringe” background going for him, though.

#4. Craig Silverstein‘s “Turn,” about George Washington’s spy ring

The Culper Ring helped take down the original Benedict Arnold, Benedict Arnold, so it’s an interesting topic. But I’d like to see AMC stay in the present, considering they already have two “historical” shows.

#3. Richard LaGravenese‘s “Philly Lawyer,” about a law student

“PHILLY JUSTICE”??? Alternate title: “The Danger Guerrero Story.”

#2. Jake Paltrow & Robbie Kinberg‘s “Crystal Pines,” about a journalist who signs up for a cloning experiment

It’s no “Dog with a Blog,” but I’m a sucker for TV shows about journalists, like, um, “Sex and the City” and “The Lone Gunmen”…OK, so maybe I like the IDEA of TV shows about journalists.

#1. Kerry Williamson‘s “Sacred Games,” an epic story of crime and punishment in modern Mumbai based on the novel by Vikram Chandra.

The book is nearly 1,000 pages long (plenty of material) and India is a fascinating, essentially untapped setting for a TV show. Plus, the plot – having to do with a Sikh member of the Mumbai police force and an Indian gangster – sounds intriguing. This show should happen.

Two former teen idols back bill to protect child actors

Todd Bridges and Corey Feldman, both of whom were molested by men with Hollywood connections, support legislation to require fingerprinting and background checks for those with unsupervised access to child performers.

"We’re not doing enough to protect children, period," says actor Todd Bridges, who was molested three times beginning at age 12.

By Dawn C. Chmielewski, Los Angeles Times

April 18, 2012

Three decades ago, they were teen idols. Todd Bridges played Willis on the popular sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes." Corey Feldman starred in "Gremlins," "The Goonies" and "The Lost Boys."

The two men held the same dark secret: Each had been molested in his adolescence by men with Hollywood connections, experiences that would lead to downward spirals and years of drug addiction.

Today, they are making a highly public case for California legislation they hope will protect child actors from sexual predators, a problem they say continues to bedevil the entertainment industry.

"We're not doing enough to protect children, period," Bridges said.

Kirk Cameron Thinks The Child-Star Parody About Him Is “Funny”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After Kirk Cameron told to CNN’s Piers Morgan that homosexuality was “unnatural,” “detrimental” and “ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization” , a cadre of former child actors got together and filmed a mock PSA video for Funny or Die, announcing the formation of CCOKC: Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron.

The clip, which has gotten more than a million views since it went up a few days ago, straight up calls Cameron a “dick.” But the former Mike Seaver is doing like Jesus and turning the other cheek, Fox News reports.
When Kirk heard about the spoof, he didn’t have any bad feelings—in fact, he thought it was funny,” a source explained. “He doesn’t hate anybody.”
Right, right. We don’t hate Kirk either. “Hate” is such a strong word—as opposed to “unnatural” and “destructive.” Keep your eyes peeled for CCOKC-inspired merchandise and a blooper reel.

Daniel Radcliffe Takes a Smoke Break on the Set of Kill Your Darlings

Boy, you wouldn't catch Harry Potter doing that!

We found Daniel Radcliffe taking a cigarette break on the set of his upcoming film Kill Your Darlings yesterday in New York City. He's playing Allen Ginsberg in the film, which brings together the famous beat poet with Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs over a murder in 1944.

Unfortunately, Daniel's not puffing for the role - at the tender age of 22, he's already a long time smoker.

Co-star Ben Foster, who plays Burroughs, had nothing but praise for Radcliffe's work so far on the film, noting, "He's done some work in this film which I think is going to shock and impress and put to bed so many doubting minds. Everyone seems to be ready to cut the man down, and he's going to prove them wrong. He's a hell of a talent."

The Band's Levon Helm In The Final Stages Of Terminal Cancer

Levon Helm is the last remaining member of The Band. He’s also a great vocalist and an even richer drummer, affecting audiences during his time in The Band, but also later as a solo artist. The last album Helm put out was the Grammy award-winning Dirt Farmer in 2007. Unfortunately, any hopes another album could potentially be on its way are now impossible.

Today, Helm’s wife and his daughter, Amy, took to the musician’s personal website to explain that Helm, who has battled cancer in the past, is now in the final stages of terminal cancer. The message was brief and heartfelt, touching on the things Helm loved and cared for most in his life.

“Dear Friends, Levon is in the final stages of his battle with cancer. Please send your prayers and love to him as he makes his way through this part of his journey. Thank you fans and music lovers who have made his life so filled with joy and celebration... he has loved nothing more than to play, to fill the room up with music, lay down the back beat, and make the people dance! He did it every time he took the stage...”

The 71 year-old has throat cancer, which was initially diagnosed in the nineties and caused him vocal problems for a number of years. According to Billboard, eventually the cancer settled out and Helm was able to sing again, although his voice took on a rasp that was not present prior.

Ultimately, the news that Helm is extremely ill does not come as a true surprise, but it is an extremely sad day for fans of Rock and Roll and its legacy. It’s not too late to sit down with some tribute whiskey and throw on The Last Waltz

so sad about this :'(

Misogyny means Women Can Never Win–not even Thoroughly Modern Megan

Having watched the first three episodes of the long-awaited fifth season of my favorite televised drama ever–namely, AMC’s extraordinary Mad Men–I’m reminded of the timeless wisdom within that French phrase Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose. The more things change, the more it’s the same thing. The “thing” I’m interested in exploring today–given that I’m more inspired than ever to write about the ongoing War On Women–is misogyny. Hatred of women, and how it we can see it manifested in attitudes toward, and treatment of, the character of Megan Draper–now as well as then.

With a big thank-you to Deborah for inviting me to publish my thoughts here at Basket of Kisses, I’d like to look at misogyny’s ugly underpinnings. Which, once you peel back the bright and shiny (albeit terribly lovely) surface of 1960′s culture, are all right there, waiting to be studied, much the way a design student might examine the parts of a deconstructed couture gown to better understand how the final creation came to be.

This is a television program that engenders fierce debate–surely a reason to love it all the more–but I’ve noticed an unsettling trend in the online discussions about Megan. Now, we’ve all got our favorite heroes and villains in Mad Men; the fact that a single character can inhabit both roles, sometimes in the space of an episode, is one of the reasons it makes for such engrossing theater. Megan is no different, and fans and foes of Megan, The Character are of course entitled to their opinions. What I’m referring to here, though, are some of the nasty, tinged-with-misogyny accusations that even otherwise fair-minded folks are leveling at Megan, in comments as well as in blog posts around the Internet. For example:

She’s a gold-digger.

She’s a “great actress” who got where she is by faking it (“it” being whatever was called-for in the moment) and manipulating men.

She literally slept her way into that copywriting position.

She’s a shameless hussy–a wanton exhibitionist–and that whole Zou Bisou Bisou episode at Don’s party was embarrassing and cringe-worthy.

She stole Don away from other, worthier women he had bedded or with whom he had otherwise been connected.

Let’s do something radical: let’s look at the character Megan as an individual, as a discrete person in her own right, with her own history, traits, motivations, and tendencies.

'Game of Thrones' Producer On Season 2 Book Differences, Fan Feedback And What's To Come

In the third and final installment of my conversation with D.B Weiss, the executive producer of "Game of Thrones" (Sundays at 9 p.m. ET), he discusses a dilemma that he and fellow executive producer David Benioff faced in adapting George R.R. Martin's series of fantasy novels. They've got a very popular cast of series regulars -- which is expanding all the time -- and yet, in the books, some of those characters don't make appearances for long periods.

Television is a medium that fosters a certain kind of welcome familiarity -- once we know who Robb Stark, Jaime Lannister and Jon Snow are, we want to see them frequently. But in Martin's epic tale, characters are sometimes "offstage," as it were, for long periods of time.

Below, Weiss discusses how he and Benioff weighed the desires of the audience to see their favorites with the needs of the story; balancing the sheer tonnage of plot in Martin's grand tale with the more emotionally poignant and dramatic sides of "Thrones"; and an important event that may or may not happen next season (and don't worry, you'll get a spoiler warning before you get to that section).

This interview has been edited and slightly condensed.

As the series goes on, ideally for many years, the divergences from the books could kind of add up and accumulate, theoretically. Is that something that you are comfortable with, or is it something that you feel like you have to kind of police as you go forward?

We talk to George a lot about what he has in mind. We know what's in the first five books, and we talked to him a fair amount about what he has in mind going forward [in subsequent books], to make sure we don't do anything that's going to be too drastic in that regard. We do want to make sure that, while we do need to leave the highway here and there, we want to make sure we don't end up taking a detour that doesn't let us get to the places we need to go down the road. So yeah, we're aware of it, but I'm not that worried about it. I think we've got a pretty good handle on the world and on the things that are going to be most central down the line. We're aware of it, but not overly concerned with it.

Ryan Seacrest took over in 2006. Dick has co-hosted the show ever since.

Before suffering a stroke, Clark told Larry King he suffered from Type 2 diabetes.

Clark has been married 3 times -- and has 3 children from his first two marriages. He is survived by his current wife Kari Wigton.

Chester French Has A Thing For "Black Girls"

Today Chester French released their new single and NSFW music video titled, "Black Girls." According to Chester French singer, DA Wallach, this song isn't solely about black women:

"I wasn't sure if I should open up with the honest of this song and last night almost said "I can't do it." But as someone who is and has been in interracial relationships I knew that it was important. This isn't just about black girls. It's about anyone who society treats with subtle and overt contempt. I'm so proud of my generation for moving the ball forward."

What do you think, ONTD? Do you applaud him for his openness? Honestly, the video makes me think he's more interested in stirring controversy as opposed to making some deep, poignant statement on the way society treats certain groups.

Victoria Jackson Update: Still An Idiot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - She's best known for her satirical comedy on Saturday Night Live. Twenty years after leaving the hit show, Victoria Jackson is back in the spotlight, but this time it's for her political views.

She's now a controversial conservative commentator and she's in Middle Tennessee taking a critical look at the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.

Victoria Jackson is best known for her dim-witted characters on Saturday Night live which brought her a lot of laughs, and fame. (lol rite.) She now works as a citizen journalist.

"I'm trying to use my fading SNL fame to shine a light on the topic that nobody in the media will talk about," said Jackson.

That topic is Islam. Jackson came to Middle Tennessee to produce a story on the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro and its new mosque now under construction. The comic-turned- conservative political activist doesn't mince words about why she thinks this building is rising in the middle of rural Tennessee.

"This is the Bible Belt, and Murfreesboro is the buckle on the bible belt. And it's a college town. So my feeling is they came here to convert people to Islam,"
said Jackson.

Jackson brought her camera to the current Islamic Center offices in Murfreesboro -- but no one was available for an interview. No luck either at the construction site just outside town.

Jackson did recently interview Congressional candidate Lou Ann Zelenik for her story. Zelenik has been an outspoken opponent of the mosque. Jackson claims there's a fatwa , or Islamic decree ,calling for her death because of her criticisms.

"I tolerate all religions. Except the ones that want to kill me," said Jackson.

Jackson plans to post her story on the conservative web site Patriot Update.

Just when you think there's no SNL alum less likable or more prejudiced than Chevy, Victoria pops up to prove you wrong. Nice of her, tbh.

2011 was touted as the year of the movie sequel - 24 were released - but it will be remembered as the year audience attendance fell to record lows and the number of box office turkeys rose dramatically.

This year movie execs will be on edge as Hollywood's blockbuster season gets into gear. There has already been one career-ending disaster (Disney's John Carter) and one record-breaking hit (The Hunger Games).

And although the line-up for this year includes several films that have the potential to break the billion-dollar mark - The Avengers, Ice Age 4 and The Dark Knight Rises - there are more than a few blockbusters that could end up tanking at the box office.

Sopranos writer says TV beats Hollywood

Terence Winter, creator of Boardwalk Empire and co-writer of The Sopranos, says television has upper hand on Hollywood with its "lowest common denominator mentality".

There were presumably people who shelled out hard-earned money last night to The Wrath of The Titans at the cinema, a fairly good example of the shallow nonsense that is routine box-office fare at the moment.

Astute viewers may have been watching Episode 5 of Season 5 of Mad Men on Sky Atlantic. It was simply brilliant.

So it's hard not to agree with Terence Winter, the creator of Boardwalk Empire and the Emmy-award winning co-writer of The Sopranos, when he argues that television has the complete upper hand over Hollywood and the film industry's "lowest common denominator mentality".

James Van Der Beek: 'A Little Ego Assassination Is a Good Thing'

James Van Der Beek rose to fame as melodramatic teen Dawson Leery on Dawson's Creek, but he doesn't take himself too seriously these days.

On the new ABC comedy, Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23, Van Der Beek plays a self-obsessed celebrity riding the coattails of his former fame. His character's name? James Van Der Beek!

His small screen alter ego uses the "I Don't Wanna Wait" Dawson's Creek theme song to attract the ladies, gets a gig on a Dancing With the Stars-esque show, and even releases his own line of super tight jeans.

Van Der Beek, 35, talked to about checking his ego at the door for his latest role, letting go of his teen idol image, and embracing fatherhood (Van Der Beek and wife Kimberly Brook are proud parents to two children, Olivia, 1, and Joshua, who was born in March).

I decided to do the show because I was bored.

People always say that they appear on these shows to raise money or awareness and I think that's bullshit. Obviously we are not a bunch of altruistic, pious women. We all love the attention; we all love the camera. I'm clearly a masochist.

Alan Rickman, Judi Dench have ‘perfect’ voices, researchers say

Apparently, the key to having the perfect voice is being British.

Researchers in the U.K. have mathematically determined that the perfect voice for men lies somewhere between those of British actors Jeremy Irons and Alan Rickman. (Professor Snape in the "Harry Potter" movies did always have a way with words.) For women, it's somewhere near the voice of James Bond's M, 77-year-old thespian Dame Judi Dench.

Justin Bieber Alleged IMPOSTOR Arrested in Child Porn Sex Sting

A grown-ass man who allegedly POSED online as Justin Bieber has been arrested in Canada after cops say he threatened a 12-year-old girl into performing sex acts over the Internet.

Canadian authorities say 34-year-old Lee Moir has been charged with luring, manufacturing child pornography and extortion after allegedly posing as Bieber on Facebook ... and duping the girl into a video chat.

Cops say Moir threatened to harm the girl's family if she didn't engage in cyber-sexual activity.  The girl reportedly complied.

The incident was reportedly investigated by U.S. law enforcement, which referred the matter over to Canada when they realized Moir was living in Toronto.

Moir was eventually busted by Canadian undercover cops who posed as a 14-year-old girl online. Officials say Moir engaged the officer in sexual conversations and requested a meeting.

Cops swooped in and arrested Moir when he arrived to the meeting location.

10 Films Every Teen Should Watch

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

We were surprised not to see Peter Jackson’s first installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy on BFI’s list, but we suppose the “fantasy” vote went to Star Wars. We’d definitely encourage teens to watch Jackson’s epic adventure tale, which changed the face of the fantasy genre as we know it. Once upon a time, kids who played D&D weren’t exactly considered popular. Today, porn stars are playing it, and geekdom has gone mainstream. Fantasy is no longer a genre relegated to the bottom of the barrel. The 2001 Tolkien adaptation is a universal tale and all-encompassing story containing multiple dualities: love and loss, hope and fear, and so on. It doesn’t sugarcoat things either, treating its audience with the know-how to process emotions accordingly and scale the events in their own way. Teens can identify with the narrative involving friendships being forged while struggling for a shared goal or belief. Middle-earth is an entirely believable setting, and the film’s mythology seems to evolve naturally out of a definite history. LOTR is pure enchantment, and like Star Wars, leaves audiences in awe at the magic of cinema.

Has Simon gone completely potty? Cowell insists on £10-a-roll black toilet paper for his homes

  • String of 'ex-lovers' lining up to reveal their side of the story following biography release

  • Cowell forced to backtrack on Gary Barlow 'too scripted' comments after he is confirmed to return to x Factor

With the upcoming release of the unauthorised Simon Cowell biography, more details of the X Factor supremo's quirky home habits are being unveiled.

From the whopping £3000 a week on floral arrangements to the colonic irrigations and vitamin intravenous drips, the 52-year-old isn't afraid to splash the cash on life's little luxuries.

Perhaps most bizarrely, it has been claimed that Cowell insists that only luxury black toilet paper is placed in the many bathrooms of his London and Los Angeles homes.

The loo paper sets the music mogul back approximately £10 a roll.

Additionally, the book claims that Cowell travels with suitcases full of creams, bath products and lotions to counteract ageing, takes 'saucers full' of tablets daily and undergoes routine Botox injections.

‘High heels are pleasure with pain! If you can’t walk in them, don’t wear them’

Christian Louboutin has no sympathy for women who struggle in his stilettos

Dizzying heights: Louboutin's six-inch spiked shoes, left, and a pair designed for the English National Ballet courtesy of Swarovsk, right

For many fashion lovers, it is the Achilles heel of their favourite shoes.

But Christian Louboutin has admitted he does not care whether women feel pain wearing his sought-after heels.

Instead, the designer claimed most women had a 'quasi-masochistic experience' with their stilettos – and that anyone struggling to walk in his creations should ditch them altogether.

Christian Louboutin has single-handedly transformed the six-inch stiletto from Cabaret prop to closet staple.

But his iconic red soles are also responsible for a plethora of podiatric ailments.

Rather than feel any regret for inflicting pain on many a discerning fashionista however, the French cobbler has adopted a 'take it or leave it attitude'.

An interview with your favorite Lannister

When you're a young British actor starring in two hit series at once, even a visit to the U.S. isn't all down time. Eugene Simon wrapped up his 22-day stay Wednesday, but not before a round of phone interviews earlier in the week.

The 19-year-old Londoner plays Lancel Lannister in HBO's "Game of Thrones." In Season 1 Lancel, then a squire to King Robert Baratheon, indirectly killed the king at the behest of Robert's wife, Cersei, who is Lancel's cousin—and lover. In Nickelodeon's English-boarding school set "House of Anubis," Simon plays a jokester named Jerome Clarke.

Simon filmed both shows at the same time last year, living in Liverpool where he shot "HOA." But when he was needed on the set of "GOT," he would head to Belfast. The productions worked their schedules so he could be in both shows.

"You have to learn to kind of switch off one part of your brain and turn on the other," he said of playing two parts at once. "So that was a good learning experience, really. They definitely couldn't be more different than they are."

In Sunday's episode of "GOT," titled "Garden of Bones," Lancel crosses paths with yet another manipulative Lannister, Cersei's brother Tyrion, and things continue to go badly for the newly minted knight as he becomes a pawn in their battle for power. Simon believes Lancel's inherent naivete; makes him susceptible to the will of others.

"He's quite a tragic figure in my mind because of his desire to have a romance with Cersei. He has an utter infatuation with Cersei, and I think that kind of desire is sort of both Lancel's greatest strength and also his greatest weakness, his kind of undoing...," Simon said.

"Tyrion and Cersei just have such an opportunity to use him for their own ends, which, ultimately, is what 'Game of Thrones' is all about. It's all about power and how you dominate that power over your peers."

The actor says he's looking forward to hearing fan reactions to Lancel's story this season and, if creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss follow George R.R. Martin's books enough, Lancel's transformation into a man who "takes life by the reins" in later seasons.

Simon and I talked more about both his shows, why he was pretty much naked when he first met Lena Headey, how he got into acting at age 8 and the "Game of Thrones" cast member he unexpectedly, and happily, ran into in L.A.

Madonna is pissed about Lourdes smoking

Photos of 15-year-old Lourdes Leon smoking a cigarette sent the U(RL)niverse into a tailspin of criticism: mostly aimed at mamma Madonna.

On tonight's episode of Rock Center, Madonna addresses her daughter's drag for the first time. "I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all, my daughter," she said in an excerpt of the interview that ran on the Today show this morning. When Harry Smith countered with the fact that Madonna suckles on a cig in her Girl Gone Wild video, she said, "I don't smoke, that's just an accessory. She smoked that cigarette before I did that video, so she didn't get that from me."

Madonna takes umbrage with assertions she's not a good mother, saying she wasn't very happy upon seeing the photos. "I think I am [a tough mom] but I don't think I'm as tough as I should be," she said. "I think maybe I should be tougher but it's hard." And while she admits there are about 25 different versions of Madonna that various people see, her children see just one. "To my children, there's the one that comes home and says, 'Are you doing your homework? Why did you say that? What are you eating that for?'"

"I imagine it must be [hard being me] ... because I complain all the time," she laughed when asked whether or not the pressure gets to her. "I think we all have our challenges – to be a single mother of four and work as much as I do [and] live my life in a metaphorical fishbowl ... it's pretty challenging. But so far I've survived with sanity and humor in tact."
And she'll keep on surviving and singing. This interview was conducted around midnight since Madonna had spent all day rehearsing for her upcoming world tour. And she'd like fans to know that at 53-years-old, she has no plans to stop any time soon. "I certainly have stuff left to say, I still feel like expressing myself -- I'll keep doing this as long as I do."

Acura Super Bowl Commercial: Only "Nice looking, friendly, Not too dark" African American Need Apply

You know that Acura commercial with Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno that aired during the Super Bowl -- well, we got hold of the casting call document, and they were very specific/exclusionary about their dream African American car dealer.

According to the casting doc, the role of African American car dealer would be played by a "Nice looking, friendly, Not too dark" African American car dealer.

We just got hold of the document from an African American actor who didn't fit the profile, and who's pissed.

We made lots of calls, trying to find out why "dark" African Americans weren't right for the role. Someone associated with casting the commercial tells us ... one of the reasons for the "not too dark" restriction was because lighting and special effects would get tricky.

We made calls to Acura but no one got back to us.
