Just hours after it was determined that the New York Giants would be facing off against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, Animal Planet announced their lineup for Puppy Bowl VIII. Among the unbearably cute pooches competing in the wildly popular televised event (last year saw a staggering 9.2 million people tuning in for Puppy Bowl programming) are a 10-month-old Dachshund named Shiloh (“Fun Fact: Has read all the Harry Potter books”), a floppy-eared 13-week-old Terrier named Marbles (!), and a 14-week-old Miniature Aussie Mix named Tattoo who is so fluffy I’m going to die!

First Photo of Kristen Wiig and Fabrizio Moretti Together
Could these two be any cuter? Kristin Wiig and The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti stepped out together in Los Angeles last week for the first time as a couple.
The duo, who've been rumored to be romantically involved for the past few months, looked quite at ease with each other and even rocked similar leather jackets.
Moretti, 31, is certainly no stranger when it comes to dating Hollywood's leading ladies…
In fact, the musician dated Drew Barrymore for five years before they called it quits in 2007!
But Wiig doesn't need to worry about her rocker beau rekindling things with his old flame. Barrymore, 36, got engaged to her art-consultant beau Will Kopelman over the holidays.
The real question is, will Moretti take Wiig from Bridesmaids to bride?
#1. [BlindGossip] People break up and get back together all the time. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.
Then there’s the case of these two good-looking people. They have both been on TV regularly, but in two very different roles. They were together. Then then broke up. Now they’re together again. Did they work things out? Is it true love after all? Nope. She’s pregnant. And, with all his other troubles, the thought of being a husband and a father is more than he can bear right now. But he’ll play along until he figures a way out of this.
No wonder he’s been such a jerk lately. Then again, scratch that “lately” part. He’s just a jerk. In fact, she has a reputation for being a b*tch, and he has a reputation for being an as*hle. So maybe they are perfect for each other.

Caller mistakes Yvette Nicole Brown for being in "The Help"
Yvette Nicole Brown and Sherri Shepherd were on Watch What Happens Live last night, and Andy Cohen took a call from a viewer named Ashley, in Milwaukee.
Ashley said to Yvette, "I'm so proud of you, by the way... What was it like working on the movie The Help?" Uh, whoops.
There was a nanosecond of silence.
"Oh!" Yvette exclaimed, "It was great to watch The Help, because I wasn't in it. That's Octavia Spencer."
Sherri and Yvette explained that they get mixed up with Loni Love and Octavia Spencer all the time.
"They think we all look alike for some reason," Sherri sniped.

While scrolling through Twitter a few minutes ago, I ran across a Tweet that really caught my eye! Comedian and actress Jenny McCarthy tweeted:
“Holy sh*tballs!! Yay. Congrats to my cousin Melissa McCarthy for Oscar nom!! So proud!!”
Wait, they’re cousins?! I had no freaking clue! Did you? I did some digging - and turns out they actually ARE cousins! Can you imagine the family reunions with that family! Wow!
She's recently returned form a well-earned holiday in Mexico after one of the most stressful years of her life.
And it appears the change to her usual routine has had a relaxing effect on Nicole Scherzinger.
The 33-year-old posted a picture of herself on Twitter wearing nothing but a white towel- and not so much as a dab of make-up.
Fresh-faced and clear-skinned, there's no doubt that the beauty carried off the natural look with panache.
She captioned the shot: 'Uhh...Does anyone know how to work this twisty towel thing? Haha!'
When it comes to comedians, not everything is punch lines and knee slapping. Chelsea Handler appeared live in Howard Stern's studio on Monday, trashing the female comedian who paved the way for so many who followed, Joan Rivers.
"Joan Rivers? What the f**k do I care about Joan Rivers? ... I don't think about her ever," Handler told Stern.
But Joan isn't one to take the heat without dishing a little back, herself.
"I don't know her but the few times we've met she's been very grand and very happy to be Chelsea," Joan tells me. "I mean come on, you're lucky you've got a mouth. I just don't like people who think they're terrific."
Surprisingly, both Joan and Chelsea have shows on E! and have met at several of the network's events -- including one where Chelsea was apparently so rude, Joan's "Fashion Police" co-star Kelly Osbourne kicked a table hard in disgust and ended up hurting her leg.
Unwilling to miss a chance to serve up some equally biting words, Joan took to Stern's Tuesday morning show for a rebuttal. Once live, the queen bee of comedy didn't hold anything back, taking jabs at Handler's comedy and character.
It looks like playing nice is out of the question for these two proud and funny ladies.
Lana Del Rey is the girl of the moment. On a freezing New York afternoon, wind-chill factor -8C, she breezes into the lobby of an exclusive members’ club with the untouchable aura of someone transported within their own micro-climate. She looks immaculate, as indeed she has always looked since the world first sat up and took notice – perfectly turned out in tight blue slacks, green shirt and a suede jacket, like a beatnik princess. Long auburn hair falls in perfect lines around her face, deep brown eyes casting a frank, steady gaze beneath long, false lashes.
In the flesh she still has a girlish slightness of frame, but in front of cameras she is capable of shifting swiftly from a kind of coltish innocence to vampish knowingness. It’s a quality that is hard to pin down but is present in the videos, songs and photo shoots that have suddenly and dramatically elevated her from the obscure margins of the internet to the centre of the pop zeitgeist, a kind of doubleness, a sense of duality and merging contradictions. She is a person into whom you can read a lot.

Funny how it took two French guys to pull off the most romantic homage to 1920s Hollywood. It helps, of course, that The Artist—Michel Hazanavicius's audacious black-and-white film—is silent. The star, you see, can barely speak English. So what Jean Dujardin accomplishes with such blinding charisma has everything to do with his physical presence—half Gene Kelly's joyful athleticism, half Douglas Fairbanks Jr.'s man's-man swooniness. And boy, can he rock full-dress tails.
A big fan of American films, the 39-year-old actor had seen Singin' in the Rain multiple times before landing the part of George Valentin, a silent-screen star undone by the talkies. "I learned to tap-dance for The Artist," he says. "I love dancing in general, and making girls dance. My generation doesn't do it enough." (Dear men: Please take note.) France's best-kept secret became a homeland favorite first with stand-up comedy (Google his character Brice de Nice to observe some serious range) and later with two Bondian spoofs (also by Hazanavicius) in which Dujardin plays Agent OSS 117, for which he used '60s Paul Newman as inspiration: "I adore Newman. His elegance was so relaxed—chewing gum, opening his jacket, the tie hanging." With all the American love coming his way for The Artist, any chance he'd move here? "Oh, no," he says. "I am too Parisian. And I think the French would be angry if I left. I hope they would be angry."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gave the most nods to movies about movies: “Hugo,” Martin Scorsese's wonder-riddled nod to filmmaking pioneer Georges Melies led with 11 nominations, and “The Artist,” the clever black-and-white throwback homage to the silent era, scored 10. Feels a bit self-serving, doesn't it?
Still, I won't argue too hard with those two films getting some acclaim - I love the art of film making, too, and they both do it justice. Yet neither was my choice for best of 2011 (which can be summed up in one verb – more on that later). And here's where I share my knee-jerk reactions, where I either A) boot the Academy in the ribs for being clueless or boring, B) praise them for occasionally, and possibly accidentally, getting it right and C) point out some of the oddities and surprises among the nominations:

1. "It is really hard to believe this former A- list boy bander and now a C who kind of was his own one boy band has always been in the closet. Despite every single public romance he has had with a woman he has always wanted to come out. He has been caught so many times and given the perfect opportunity to come out, but he keeps waiting and waiting.
He dated this at the time, huge tween actress for a very long time but most of the time she was having sex with our boy bander's brother. The brother is where she was rumored to have picked up the gift that keeps on giving. The good news for the brother was that since the boy bander was "dating" her, the brother never got in trouble for having sex with a minor for almost a year.
One time our boy bander was on tour with a different girlfriend. This girlfriend was a singer and is now an actress or she may still be both. Anyway, this actress/singer had no clue that our boy bander liked guys and was a virgin at the time. She got the gift that keeps on giving from a different band guy. Anyway, the virgin walked in on our boy bander on his knees servicing one of his male backup dancers. About an hour later the virgin was gone.
One of the boy banders best "girlfriends" was with this celebutante who made her name in some sex tape action and a reality show. Anyway, she was totally into the fact that our boy bander liked guys and was into having threesomes. She moved on though because a celebrity couple offered her more money to come stay with them for awhile.
I don't think there is any truth to the rumor that our boy bander had sex with the celebrity father of one of his other "girlfriends." She is also a celebrity, although I wish she was not." [CDaN]

3. "This young celebrity is gay. His parents didn't feel that his sexual orientation would enable him to be successful, so they pushed him into marriage early to maintain that wholesome family image and to quash gay rumors. They picked out a star struck young lady for him, and quickly announced their engagement. Imagine the young girl's surprise when she found out that her sexy new husband didn't want to have sexy time with her. They do smile and kiss while posing for PR photos, but then he goes cruising for guys on the internet. He also likes to hit up the gay bars when he's in LA. You might think that he has the best of both worlds, but he is actually miserable in the fake marriage. For right now, though, he just isn't strong enough to get out… or come out." [Blind Gossip]

Sly doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to his film career. Despite co-starring with the delightful Estelle Getty as the titular violence-prone mother, Stallone knows just how bad the film was: “I made some truly awful movies. Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot was the worst. If you ever want someone to confess to murder, just make him or her sit through that film. They will confess to anything after 15 minutes.”
2. Alec Guinness, Star Wars.
By the time he played Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1977’s Star Wars: A New Hope, Guinness had already appeared in cinematic classics like The Bridge on the River Kwai, Great Expectations and Lawrence of Arabia. During production, Guinness is reported to have said the following: “Apart from the money, I regret having embarked on the film. I like them well enough, but it’s not an acting job, the dialogue – which is lamentable – keeps being changed and only slightly improved, and I find myself old and out of touch with the young.”
The insane amount of fame he won for the role as the wise old Jedi master took him somewhat by surprise and, ultimately, annoyed him. In his autobiography A Positively Final Appearance: A Journal, Guinness recalls a time he encountered an autograph-seeking fan who boasted to him about having watched Star Wars more than 100 times. In response, Guinness agreed to provide the boy an autograph under the condition that he promise never to watch the film again.

Oscar’s not just a grouch; he’s also a racist.
That little bastard is no friend of African-Americans. I call him little because he’s only 13-and-a-half-inches tall. And I call him a bastard because his parents, namely the present-day Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, weren’t married (i.e., officially organized as they are today) when they hooked up at the Hotel Roosevelt and gave birth to the then-nameless offspring on May 16, 1929 in a secret (actually private) ceremony. By the way, nobody knows for sure how he even got the name Oscar. However, the prevailing theory is that when the Academy’s executive secretary first saw him in 1931, she said he reminded her of her “Uncle Oscar.” A reporter supposedly heard her and wrote the story. The rest, as they say, is history.

The passing of the holidays means a new year is underway (according to my sources), and with a new year comes a whole new slate of things to look forward to. New movies, new television shows, new ridiculously funny and dare I say ruggedly handsome Cracked columnists and, my personal favorite, new music.
As much as I'd love to unleash my inner music snob and burden you with my extensive list of obscure albums to look forward to in 2012, the fact that just about every music site on the planet has already released their own version of that list is standing in the way.
So, in lieu of filling your day with hope and optimism for the state of music in the coming year, I'm going to spend a few paragraphs making fun of people instead. Hope you don't mind.
Here are the seven least anticipated albums of 2012.

What will a Courtney Stodden song be like?
Teen bride Courtney Stodden is making a fresh attempt to launch a career as a pop singer.
The blonde, who describes herself as a 'recording artist' on her Twitter page, was spotted walking into the studio arm-in-arm with her much older husband Doug Hutchinson, 51.
Wearing a revealing dress and her favourite perspex platform heels, Courtney, 17, spent the afternoon working on her 'new single' with two Orange County-based music producers.
Posing inside the studio, Courtney refused to reveal the name of her new single, but she said: 'It's wonderful to be back in the studio again.
'People have been contacting me all the time asking when my next song is coming out.'
Not giving to much away: Courtney gave away some idea of what lyrics will feature on her song as she tweeted up a poetic storm
The original version of the song is one that was first mentioned several months ago by radio DJs in conjunction with 2012 promo that RCA was doing at the time.
In other Kris news, he's been booked for a show on February 9th at The Mint in Los Angeles, CA at which it's rumored he'll be performing songs from the new album. The show is open to all ages and you can purchase tickets at the source.
Finally, Kris has started doing interviews for his newest DonorsChoose initiative and his upcoming album. So far, he's been interviewed by Clevver TV and Good Day NY, but neither interview has aired, yet. Clevver TV did say they got a tentative album release date out of him, though, and their interview will be released tomorrow (Wednesday, January 25.)

Emma Roberts has revealed that she has signed up to appear in dark comedy Adult World.
The Scream 4 actress explained that she will play a sex shop employee in the project, which will soon begin filming in New York.
In the film, her character is a recent college graduate who has so far only found employment at a sex store.
"It's a quirky coming-of-age story," she told USA Today. "My character is very smart, but the economy is very bad. So she works at a porn store."
She added: "It's an interesting backdrop because when you're a young person you're always looking for inspiration. But then you find yourself asking, 'How did I end up here?'
"It's very relevant for young people who are asking themselves, 'What do we do?'".
Emma Roberts explained last year that she chooses a film because she likes the role, rather than considering the size of its budget.
The actress decided to take a break from her studies at Sarah Lawrence College in New York earlier this month.
Project Runway‘s Tim Gunn, might seem well-mannered and polite, but today on The Revolution, he opened up about his sex life. “I haven’t had sex in 29 years,” Gunn revealed during Tuesday’s episode. “Do I feel like less of a person because of it? No.”
With tears in his eyes, he revealed a past “intense” relationship caused him to become celibate. “I’m a perfectly fulfilled person… but it’s very physiological,” he said.
So what happened?
Gunn revealed that an ex-partner ended the relationship abruptly and caused him to give up sex. “He was impatient with my sexual performance,” Gunn said, trying to hold back tears.
As he joined his fellow hosts in a “sex talk,” Gunn finally ended with one lasting point about his sex life, adding that sex shouldn’t be the sole factor in a healthy relationship.
“I’m happy to be healthy and alive, frankly,” he said about his celibacy.
They've shot to fame with hordes of fans lavishing them with love and attention.
But that's not going to the One Direction boys' heads. The singers took time out of their hectic tour schedule to meet some special fans ahead of their latest gig in London.

What would Miranda say? Cynthia Nixon recently went bald for her role as a cancer-stricken professor in the new Broadway play Wit, and showcased her newly shorn head on LIVE! with Kelly Tuesday morning.
“I thought it was going to be kind of no-muss, no-fuss, but I have to shave it every day,” Nixon revealed. “It’s got kind of a five o’clock shadow. You don’t want to go out with that.”
When host Kelly Ripa complimented Nixon on the shape of her head, the actress admitted that she wasn’t sure she’d be able to pull the look off at first. “I was always kind of curious to see what it would be like,” she shared. But once the play is over, don’t expect her to keep up with the daily shaves. “I don’t think I’m going to keep it forever,” she added.
Wit tells the story of Vivian Bearing, a poetry professor “at the top of her profession,” Nixon explained. After receiving a cancer diagnosis — which Nixon, a breast cancer survivor, can relate to — Bearing “goes through this really heavy-duty chemo,” Nixon said. “She meets that challenge, but she learns a lot about herself.” The play is in previews, and opens officially on Jan. 26.
Her mom hated her gray hair — so Kelly Osbourne went ahead and made it purple. The reality starlet hit the red carpet at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center Honors Monday night sporting a subtle new hair hue — her second change in two weeks’ time.
Earlier this month at the People’s Choice Awards, Osbourne explained her unusual hair color choice to PEOPLE. “I can’t keep bleaching my hair and I want to grow it,” she shared. “So I take breaks in between.”
But last week at the Art of Elysium gala, Osbourne admitted she really loves changing her look. “I think that I have an addiction to dying my hair, because I always like it to be different,” she said. “I don’t like being compared to other people.”
So while her hair may be a bit fragile these days, Osbourne doesn’t seem to mind. “I don’t want to break this addiction, I love it,” she shared, pointing out one key benefit of frequent color changes: “I get a new look every day.”

Dan Cortese made a guest appearance Hot in Cleveland clad in only a towel and enjoyed the touch of Betty White.
The synopsis for Dan’s appearance is – Melanie (Valerie Bertinneli) taking Elka (White) into the Browns’ locker room following a game which they lose for her birthday. While Elka makes the rounds to feel the chests of the naked men, Melanie talks to Jimmy Armstrong (Cortese), the kicker, who is a real dunce. As Elka puts it, ”he doesn’t have much going on upstairs, but he has plenty down below!”
I have to say that Dan is looking pretty damn fine for 44. He is in quite good shape. The former MTV jockey filed for divorce from his wife back in December of last year. The couple has been married since 1994, and have two children.

With the number of hair color changes she’s made lately, Katy Perry could practically create her own line of dyes. But the “California Gurl” has different plans: on the tail of her second fragrance release, the singer is launching a line of false lashes, Katy Perry by Eylure.
“I have worn Eylure lashes all the way through my tour and really loved them,” Perry says in a statement. “When it came to having a range of my own, I wanted everyone to have a great experience with my lashes. Eylure was really the best choice for me to work with.”
According to a release, Perry was quite hands-on in the development of the lashes, as well as the packaging, which features a ’40s-style ice cream parlor logo, in keeping with the sweet theme of her California Dreams tour.
The four lash varieties include “Sweetie Pie,” dainty, natural lashes; “Oh, Honey,” a fuller set; “Cool Kitty,” shorter and suitable for daytime; and “Oh, My,” bold, attention-grabbing lashes. “This style is full of texture, but lightweight and very wearable,” Perry says of the latter, based on Eylure’s double lashes. “The perfect accessory for your eyes.”
Perry’s lashes hit ULTA stores and ulta.com in February, and retail for $6.99 per set. Tell us: Would you try Perry-branded false lashes?
Bethenny Frankel is getting her daytime platform after all.
The former Real Housewife’s much-discussed talk show has been granted a six-week test on Fox stations later this summer. The one-hour daily effort, backed by Warner Bothers and Ellen DeGeneres, is being described as an entertainment talk show featuring her “no-nonsense perspective on everything from pop culture to current events to relationships.”
A truncated test would seem a fitting way to ease in after reports late last year that the daytime project had been pulled due to lack of station interest. The test, which has proven a successful strategy for such shows as Wendy Williams, will do done in such major markets as New York and Los Angeles. If successful, she's poised to join a landscape that's about to grow more crowded with the entry of Katie Couric, Steve Harvey and Jeff Probst.
"A year ago we determined there was a need in the marketplace for a show that provided daytime women the opportunity to hang out with someone who understood their needs, desires and aspirations... a girlfriend,” said Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution President Ken Werner.
The advice-based series, which will be filmed out of Burbank, will include beauty, fitness and lifestyle segments. The hope on the part of both the stations and producers is that Frankel will add a dose of relatability to the daytime market. Over the last several months, she’s appeared regularly on Ellen as an early test of sorts.
“Bethenny is a rare talent, whose sense of humor, relatability and rags to riches success story lend themselves to her being a natural talk show host,” said Telepictures president Hilary Estey McLoughlin.
Added Fox TV Stations’ svp of programming Frank Cicha, "Bethenny is a lightning rod, and from a marketing standpoint, we love the idea of her hit reality series dovetailing into this test."
Frankel will continue to build her brand in other genres and dayparts. In addition to her Bravo series Bethenny Ever After, which will return for a third season next month, she will continue to appear on Ellen. Her first novel, Skinnydipping is set for release later this spring.
Jill Zarin was later spotted trying to hang herself with tacky Zarin fabrics, meanwhile Kelly overdosed on vine-fresh jellybeans.
Titled 'Everyone', the episode attracted 459k (2.6%) from 10pm, down from last year's audience of 823k (4.6%). However, it did premiere on 4oD one week earlier.

The film is more like a collection of home video-like snapshots of Lennon and Ono holding hands, walking down New York, shouting anti war slogans, brandishing placards that scream ‘War is over — if you want it’. Ono wore her hair longer then. One can get peek into the couple’s private moments, too — Lennon and Ono laughing, sitting on carousels, scenes showing how familiar they are with each other’s bodies, them beaming at their baby, Sean, the family having breakfast and waving spoons to the cameras. The song playing in the background goes something like this: I didn’t know it was possible to be this happy, that it would be this simple.
Ono, the Lennon’s second wife (the first was Cynthia) turns 79 this February. She was in Delhi last week to promote her exhibition titled Our Beautiful Daughters. A Japanese conceptual artist and peace activist, Ono is known more for her avant-garde art more than her music. And if you ask around, she is known as the not-very-nice lady who broke up the Beatles.
Ono’s performance here was all about her gyrating with the mike and a lot wailing, screaming, whimpering, moaning, and emitting an impressive array of hysterical throat clearings. The cacophony even masked the sounds of the supporting sitar.
And the lyrics? There were some, like, “Follow your heart... (wailing)...Respect your intuition... (howling)... Have courage (plentiful gasping).
After her performance, Ono briefly spoke to the audience, and admitted how she knows people hated her. Dressed in a black suit, black glasses and a black fedora, Ono said, “People thought I broke up the Beatles. There was this big amount of hate coming from people and I turned this heavy energy to love.” Now, she added, “she’s feeling pretty good.”
What is most disturbing through the interaction is the applause that follows every inane sound byte. Anything Ono says becomes a clap-inviting war cry for the audience, brimming as it is with arty types and masquerading peaceniks. When she says, “Woman power is like man power”, pockets of American and Japanese students say, “Woo hoo!” Even Ono’s convulsing performance was less jarring.
The questions that followed from the audience were rather jejune and uninformed. Someone asked, “Does John Lennon still live in your heart and soul?” Ono didn’t answer for a while. After some goading, Ono murmured something that could have been a ‘yes’. Then, singer Zila Khan asks her to sing two lines of Imagine. “Please, please,” begged Khan. Ono replies by saying she wasn’t there to showcase her singing talent. Ono said she’s rather talk about her art. Perhaps, if you asked her about her more famous but no less bizarre act, Cut Piece (first performed in 1964), where she sits on stage and invites the audience to snip off any part of her clothing and take it with them, she might have obliged.
Ono then went on to respond to questions about how the world is changing. She suggests we all “send a message to all the trees in the world that we want peace”. The mumbo jumbo goes on while so-called feminists continue to hoot and cheer. It is only when Ono throws in the bit about how the world portrays women as “soft pretty creatures who sing pretty songs” and that, in a way, she’s out to challenge that notion, does her banshee act make any sense.
Ono has only platitudes to offer. She speaks about how “we’re the ones who bring the baby out and create the human race” and how women “have the power to bring the human race into reality”. By then, the applause is a pattern. The question still lingers: Are just established platitudes enough to turn something into a ‘show’? What is the fuss about?
In spite of everything, one can be sure that Ono’s trip has been worthwhile. In terms of hype, she’s made a killing.

This morning, Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close was nominated for best picture, despite being viewed by most as a critical failure (Rotten Tomatoes Score: 48%). Here are 27 much better movies that weren’t as lucky as the Tom Hanks-Sandra Bullock 9/11 drama.

WTF, Academy? Some of these are classics. I'm definitely shocked that some of them weren't even NOMINATED.
Discussion questions; Out of these films, what's your favorite? Which movie can you not BELIEVE got snubbed this year? Which of these historical snubs is the most heinous oversight? On a scale of one to gouging my eyes out, how bored do you guys think I am right now in my 'Performance and Gender' lecture?
SOURCE thinks it's an honor to even be nomina-...oh wait.
Paula Deen’s longtime powerhouse publicist, Nancy Assuncao, has quit after six years over the butter-loving chef’s plan to plug a diabetes drug.
Assuncao faithfully stuck with Deen through years of hearty drama, including her battle with rival chef Anthony Bourdain, who called her “the most dangerous woman in America.” But she quit as Deen’s spokeswoman and chief marketer last month as Deen negotiated her deal to hawk the drug Victoza.
Deen, now under siege by diabetics, nutritionists and fellow chefs for keeping her own Type 2 diabetes secret for three years, even as she pushed recipes full of sugar and fat, probably could use Assuncao’s help now. Deen only revealed her diagnosis last week.
A source said Assuncao “strongly disagreed with Deen’s dramatic turnabout, after years of promoting fatty foods, to announcing she has a deal with a diabetes drug company [Novo Nordisk] and will be promoting lighter food and ‘diabetes in a new light.’
“While Paula did tell some people at her live appearances about her diabetes, she certainly didn’t talk about it on her show. Nancy disagreed with Paula’s plan to be a drug-company spokesman and challenged her decision. But this wasn’t a battle Nancy felt she was going to win. She couldn’t be part of it.”
Assuncao, whose past clients have included Ian Schrager, told us last night, “I’m very grateful for the six years that I worked with Paula in helping her build the Deen brand.
“Although we had a great deal of fun along the way, I could not agree with the new business strategy going forward. Nonetheless, I wish them continued success.”
Deen’s new rep could not be reached last night, with a staffer at her office telling us, “She is on the Paula Deen cruise.” The chef’s Web site said Celebrity Cruises’ Eclipse would be a “tasty journey” in the Caribbean with a group buffet dinner, a cooking demo and a personal photo with Deen (one per family).
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Swimming naked in the sea.
What is your greatest fear?
Being eaten by a shark.
Which talent would you most like to have?
To be able to play a musical instrument—the violin.

Last week, Paula Deen, the sweet-talking Southerner and Food Network star who measures a meal's worthiness in sticks of butter, revealed that she has been living with Type 2 diabetes for the last three years.
We can hardly claim shock at the diagnosis of the self-proclaimed "mayonnaise freak" who, when asked to describe her philosophy for life in six words said, "Might as well eat that cookie." (Hell, we featured her prominently on a previous countdown of The 10 Food Shows Most Likely To Kill America.) But we are curious about how Paula can close those icy blue eyes as night knowing she's been shamelessly instructing Americans to chow down on concoctions that routinely forgo healthy ingredients in favor of heavy cream, cheese, sugar, and of course, meet her two-stick-minimum of butter.
Paula can drawl all she wants about how her disease is "not a death sentence,” but at the end of the day, who can keep track of the couch-bound-masses she's charmed into an early demise? We certainly can't, but we can count down the malevolent morsels she's unleashed on America that will undoubtedly get the job done most efficiently. Caution: You are now entering a green-free zone. These are Paula Deen's 10 Deadliest Recipes.

“This afternoon in Berlin I have learned that I was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor. You may have heard this before, but it has never been truer than it is for me today, it is extremely humbling, gratifying, and delightful to have your work recognized by the Academy, and to join the celebrated ranks of previous nominees and colleagues. Amazing.” - Gary Oldman (Best Actor, "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy")]

Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital last night ... and we're told the issue is substance abuse.
Law enforcement tells us a 911 call was placed at 10:45 PM Monday night. Paramedics responded to Demi's L.A. home and after assessing her for a half hour, she was transported to a local hospital.
Sources tell us she is being placed in a facility to "seek further professional assistance." Our sources say the treatment is for substance abuse.
Demi's rep says, "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Days after online file-sharing hub Megaupload was shut down by federal prosecutors, Billboard reports that the RIAA's Vice President of Strategic Data Analysis, Joshua P. Friedlander, has issued a statement about the shutdown on the organization's blog.
In the post, titled "Why Closing Megaupload Matters", Friedlander points to data that shows that digital music sales rose after file sharing service Limewire's shutdown in 2010. He suggested that the same could happen following Megaupload's shutdown: "Collectively, this evidence strongly suggests that the shutdown of illegal sites helps create a thriving and diverse digital marketplace. It encourages users to go to legitimate sites, and enables great new services to be launched - like Spotify, which launched in the US last year and quickly signed up millions of new users. It's always reassuring when the data we see in the market reflects what we thought was just common sense."

This April it will be 100 years since the Titanic's one and only sailing. And the centennial of the unsinkable ship's sinking, which took the lives of some 1,500 people, is already a bloated extravaganza of dubious taste and obtuse cultural history. If only there were lifeboats in which to escape it all.

Scooter Braun is hoping to make British boy band The Wanted just as big as Justin Bieber. But is it possible that they could be even bigger in the U.S.?
The Biebs better watch out - his manager is getting really serious about looking for the next big thing.
Scooter discovered the Biebs on YouTube,(wasn't this Usher?) but it's obvious that he's worried that his biggest moneymaker could fall out of favor with fans as he grows older. He's already signed on as the manager for Cody Simpson, the Australian pop sensation that many are calling the next Bieber, and now he's found an entire band full of hunky guys to back.
He invited The Wanted to tour with Justin Bieber in South America, and now The Sun reports that he's "backing them" in the States as they sell out concerts for their first U.S. tour. The band has high hopes for their new single "Glad You Came."
This new boy band might be just the thing that American girls who are growing out of the Biebs are looking for. Tom Parker, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran look older than the Biebs, and they're trying really hard to create a bad boy reputation - they've even said in the past that they'd love to bring Justin back to England with them on his 18th birthday so that he can get drunk (so they obviously drink themselves -- they even reference doing so in their songs).

I think the Wanted will become big in the US. They're getting massive attention rn, climbing up the itunes charts/top 40 charts, getting radio play and their tour which they weren't expecting to sell out has sold out. They're something new and fresh and the evolution of
Bieber better watch out cuz as his fans get older they move on to other acts liek 1D and maybe The Wanted but TW fans aren't tweens.
Now it’s time to meet the fellow Scientologist love interest who accompanied her to the big bash.

posting this because people say we never hear about the other kids and daily fail's picture captions are too funny to not be included.
1. Double-D Downsizing: Tamra's 34 double-D implants are gone and she is totally okay with it. "It's been one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I feel a lot more confident without my implants. [With my implants] I felt like [my chest] was the first thing everybody looked at." No duh, she's 5'4" and had 34 double-D's—it's hard not to look! Now that her chest is no longer the center of attention we have a feeling her beau Eddy will be a bigger focus.
2. New Girl on the Block: This season, there is a fresh face in the bunch, Heather Dubrow, wife to a Newport Beach (shocker!) plastic surgeon. "When I first met her I actually thought she was a little pretentious. I actually used the exact words that 'I think she had a stick up her ass,'" said Gretchen. Wow, Gretch, a bit harsh! Tamra added, "I was a little bit worried that she wasn't going to fit in with the group, because she was so nice, so classy and yet so elegant. And with the girls on the show, we don't always roll like that." Heather admits, "I would say out of everyone Alexis and I have had some friction, [but] I was pleasantly surprised how well we all got along." Play nice, ladies. Oh wait, this is the Real Housewives!
3. Love and War: Gretchen takes on the recently divorced housewife Vicki and the fireworks just keep flying! Gretchen's issues with Vicki stem from the fact that, "Vicki had a lot to say about [her BF] Slade and about his child support issues…I just feel like she was being a hypocrite—[her new boyfriend] had a similar situation as Slade yet she was still very judgmental towards Slade." All is fair in love and war, but the gloves are off and it's going to get ugly.
4. Gretchen and Tamra, BFFs?!"It was time to build a bridge and get over it. In the process of doing that we realized we really like each other," said Tamra after multiple seasons of fighting with Gretchen. "I knew that the only way to move forward was just to forgive and ask for forgiveness. It has become a very true and authentic friendship," said Gretchen. Aww...how cute. Hope it lasts. Still, if they aren't fighting, who is?
5. Bye-Bye Don: What's a season of Real Housewives without some boy drama? This season it's all about Vicki and her divorce from Don. "I don't know if the show had anything to do with the collapse of [Vicki's] marriage," said Tamra, "I know that it puts strain on your relationship, no doubt." Gretchen added, "If the relationship is struggling, I think that the cameras might hone in on issues that you already have. The cameras don't lie." Sadly, their vow renewal couldn't save their relationship, but for the audience it's safe to say that boy toys are way more fun to watch.
The new season premieres Tuesday, February 7 at 9 p.m. (same time as "Dance Moms")

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ANIMALS, ONTD?
Girls' Generation has been attempting to make their mark in the US with their debut English song, "The Boys." The girls have already performed the song at the SMTOWN 2011 New York concert and did their first ever fan-signing event in the US.
The girls have been quiet since then, with not much talk of their debut in the US. However, it now seems as if they are back on the attack with two scheduled appearances on some of the top shows in the US. Girls' Generation will be on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday, January 31st and then "Live with Kelly" alongside Jennifer Lopez and guest co-host Howie Mandel on Wednesday, February 1st.
While Girls Generation is listed as confirmed guests on the "Live with Kelly" show, they are not for David Letterman. The website also only lists show guests for up to a week at a time, so it will be unconfirmed until later in the week.
You can request to attend the show by clicking on "Late Show Tickets" on CBS.com. To request tickets for the "Live with Kelly" show, you can visit their official website as well. source
YAAAAASSSSS Get used to them, bitches.
Simply put, it is a record that is positively brimming with atmospherics — soaring, sonorous strings, echoing electronic boom-bap, morose, maudlin guitar crescendos — all of which imbue it with a truly epic (if not unnecessarily dramatic) scope. Lasagna Del Rey's critics will undoubtedly point out that scope as nothing more than cover for her perceived shortcomings as a performer, but it still makes Born to Die a rather thrilling headphones experience. This is an album that sounds like it cost a million bucks to make — mostly because it probably did.
This is not to say that Born to Die is a bad album — far from it. In fact, it's certainly w-a-a-y better than most would've expected (tellingly, even less will admit to that fact), and Del Taco does showcase some rather deft songwriting prowess — or at least a knack for penning a catchy chorus — particularly on the album's few bright moments, like "Off to the Races," "Diet MTN Dew" and "Radio."
The majority of the tracks you've already heard — "Born to Die," "Blue Jeans," "Video Games" — are prominently placed at the front of the album, and the back half does tend to drag a bit, though, aside from all the additional ephemera (which does leave the album sounding a bit same-y, not to mention cribbed from the Portishead playbook, circa 1997), those are perhaps my biggest criticisms about the album.
