It appears Lindsay Lohan isn't the only starlet in talks to play Elizabeth Taylor.
Although the Mean Girls star confirmed she is still up for the role in the buzz-worthy biopic to E! News Sunday night at the Weinstein Company Golden Globes after party, we've learned Lohan has some competition by way of Megan Fox.
"I've been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox," Larry Thompson, the executive producer of Lifetime's Liz and Dick, told E! News exclusively.
Thompson declined to elaborate further on specifics of the negotiations, but added that being in talks with more than one actress is not meant as an affront to the talent involved, but rather is simply de rigueur for projects of this nature.
"It's a very serious selection," Thompson continued. "It's like casting for Hollywood royalty."
And speaking of serious, a source tells E! News that while Lohan is still one of the frontrunners for the role, her probation status is "a complication."
Lohan, who is on probation until the end of March, is due back in court Tuesday morning to face the judge in a probation status update hearing.
So, when will we know which star nabbed the role?
Rather soon, since the filmmaker plans to start shooting the movie in Canada as soon as this spring.
NEW YORK (AP) — Should Jake Gyllenhaal be worried?
Taylor Swift graces the cover of Vogue's February issue and tells the magazine her next album will be about an "absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak" she experienced.
The 22-year-old singer doesn't name names, but she did date Gyllenhaal for a few months in 2010, and he broke up with her.
Swift says it helps her to "feel better" and gain "clarity" by writing songs about her relationships.
She also says she now has a list of "red flags" for if a relationship won't work: If a guy falls in love with her based on her Wikipedia page, is threatened that she needs security, puts her down or is obsessed with privacy, they're not for her.
The February issue of Vogue magazine goes on sale January 24.
I know not really news worthy, but I just about teared up a bit when this happened. <3

Next week, barring any stunning surprises, Adele’s “21” will celebrate its 16th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That statistic gives the album the most weeks at No. 1 since the “Titanic” soundtrack in 1997-1998.
How can there by anything bad about that? Well, plenty. Especially when you think about what her success says about the state of the music industry and today’s music makers.

It's sadly not too hard to imagine reality show producers letting a sexual assault play out for the sake of ratings.
This weekend's episode of Big Brother Brasil featured a disturbing scene: a female contestant apparently being touched by a costar while she slept.
Now she thinks she may have been raped, and many are criticizing the show's producers for quite literally standing by and watching it happen.
According to a Change.org petition, the episode in question showed contestant Monique Amin passed out drunk in bed, with male costar Daniel Echaniz moving on top of her (both were under a blanket).
This is certainly one way to get people to attend a release party. Target will extend store hours in nearly 500 stores across the country on Feb. 10 to host a DVD-Blu-ray event for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1, which hits shelves at midnight. Beginning at 11 p.m., fans will be treated to the exclusive world premiere of a scene from the fifth and final film, in theaters this November. The scene will not be available on Target’s exclusive Limited-Collector’s Edition DVD. That does, however, come with an authentic prop flower from Bella and Edward’s wedding scene. To search for participating stores, go to Target.com/Twilight.
And before you try to bribe Target employees into telling you which scene will be shown, EW is told that no one at Target will know the answer to that question until that evening.
Sir Elton John and David Furnish are fuming over Madonna’s Golden Globes win.
After John predicted on the red carpet that Madonna had “no [bleep]ing chance of winning,” he was stone-faced when Madge — at her first Globes appearance in 14 years — triumphed for best original song Sunday night.
Her tune “Masterpiece,” from “W.E.,” beat John’s “Hello, Hello” from “Gnomeo and Juliet.” After the win, Furnish posted on Facebook: “Madonna. Best song???? [bleep] off!!!”
After her acceptance speech Madonna delivered in a bizarre English accent, Furnish told us: “I think it was a fluke . . . When this happens you have to question the integrity of the awards. Did Madonna get the Golden Globe because she attended the awards and agreed be a presenter?”
He added, “Can you sing Madonna’s song? Can you hum it? It’s a song nobody has heard, from a film few have seen. The award should have gone to Mary J. Blige or Elton. I like Madonna’s music, but not her movies. She should stick to what she is good at.”
But Madonna was glowing at CAA’s Sunset Tower Hotel after-party, both for her win and turning the tables on Globes host Ricky Gervais by saying, “Why don’t you come over here and do something about it,” after Gervais’ crack about her being “like a virgin.”
At the star-studded CAA bash, Angelina Jolie relaxed in a seating area as Brad Pitt ditched his cane and caught up with George Clooney [photo: opposite page], who was with gal pal Stacey Kiebler, and Leonardo DiCaprio and supermodel girlfriend Erin Heatherton.
Bradley Cooper chatted until nearly 2 a.m. with Emma Stone, while Mila Kunis and Olivia Munn sat nearby. Later, Cameron Diaz — hanging with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and DiCaprio on a terrace — was smoking something more fragrant-smeling than a cigarette.
A source close to Madonna said, “[“W.E.”] has not officially opened . . . so [it is] accurate that many people haven’t seen it yet. There was no deal made about an award for her attending.”

Album Out This Summer!
"It's completely different from my last album. I'm going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album. So we've just been coming up with the most incredible tracks," she teased. "I was just in the studio with RedFoo the other night, so we're going to be doing my new single with LMFAO."
Given how ubiquitous LMFAO is these days, a Paris/LMFAO track could be the perfect combination to reintroduce the world to Paris Hilton, pop star. "I'm so excited. The music's turning out so great and I can't wait to release it this summer. Two nights ago [I recorded the song with LMFAO]," she said, describing the session as "awesome." "I've known them since I was a little girl. We grew up together 'cause our parents are friends, so I'm just so proud of them and all their success and what they've done 'cause they've just created this whole 'Party Rock' brand and it's just so awesome."
Noting that she grew up singing in the choir and can also play violin, piano and guitar, Paris defends her choice to record another album. "I think a lot of people don't know that music is my passion since I was a little girl," she said. "I'm very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance. ... The single's done; it's in the can. That's probably going to be out [within] the next month or two." source
Fox and J.J. Abrams’ latest thriller Alcatraz got off to a very solid start Monday night.
The sci-fi crime drama opened to 10 million viewers and a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 in its two-hour premiere. That’s up 6 percent from the debut of Terra Nova in the slot and far better than the performance of Lie to Me on the evening last January.

Virtually out of nowhere, Lifetime's kiddie competition series Dance Moms has turned into one of the network's biggest (and youngest-skewing) unscripted success stories, with last week's second season premiere drawing a series best 2.5 million viewers. But since taskmaster Abby Lee Miller can berate only so many tiny dancers, hit-hungry Lifetime is doing what all cable networks do when they strike a nerve with a particular format: launch a spinoff!
Vulture has learned that Lifetime has given the green light to Dance Moms: Miami, ordering six episodes from original DM producers Collins Avenue. The new edition will be based at the Stars Dance Studio, with instructors Victor Smalley and Angel Armas taking on the Miller role of whipping the mini-hoofers into stars. Preproduction on DM: Miami has already begun; no word yet on a premiere date, but a late spring or summer run seems logical. The original Dance Moms was Lifetime's fastest-growing hit in 2011, with strong buzz for the show boosting ratings more than 70 percent from its premiere to its finale.

“I have red flags now,” she says.
1. “If someone doesn’t seem to want to get to know me as a person but instead seems to have kind of bought into the whole idea of me and he approves of my Wikipedia page? And falls in love based on zero hours spent with me? That’s maybe something to be aware of. That will fade fast. You can’t be in love with a Google search.”
2. “If a dude is threatened by the fact that I need security, if they make me feel like I am some sort of princessy diva—that’s a bad sign. I don’t have security to make myself look cool, or like I have an entourage. I have security because there’s a file of stalkers who want to take me home and chain me to a pipe in their basement.”
3. “If you need to put me down a lot in order to level the playing field or something? If you are threatened by some part of what I do and want to cut me down to size in order to make it even? That won’t work either.”
4. “Also, I can’t deal with someone who’s obsessed with privacy. People kind of care if there are two famous people dating. But no one cares that much. If you care about privacy to the point where we need to dig a tunnel under this restaurant so that we can leave? I can’t do that.”

Olivia Thirlby on Dredd
How will 2012's Dredd differ from the 1995 Judge Dredd? And how has Olivia Thirlby found playing Judge Anderson?Work continues on the new big screen take on Dredd, starring Karl Urban, which is due to hit our screens in September. And Olivia Thirlby has offered an update on what we can expect.
Thirlby is playing Judge Anderson in the movie, and she revealed to Josh Winning that “I’m totally leather body-suited up”. She added that “ like a proper comic-book action hero. One thing I love about Dredd is its really realistic approach, it’s a very dark and gritty approach, so my look is much less sexy femme fatale and a little bit more like a football player.”
Talking about the potential differences between this take on Dredd and the 1995 Sylvester Stallone vehicle, she revealed she hadn’t actually seen the previous version. But Thirlby said that “It doesn’t go that way only to separate itself from the former Dredd movie, it takes its air of seriousness and violence from the comics, so our idea was to really honour the world of Mega City One in the comics”.
The new film, thus, “rests on the bizarre complexities” of Dredd and Anderson’s working relationship.
This movie is going to flop so hard, but I will be there opening day.
When Kim Kardashian filed a reported $20 million lawsuit against Old Navy last July, alleging that parent company The Gap damaged her reputation by using a look-a-like in a commercial, she probably did not anticipate that the company would investigate said reputation as part of their legal defense.
The Hollywood Reporter alleges that The Gap has hired high-profile lawyer Louis Petrich to launch an investigation into Kardashian's reputation. Experts predict that resolving the case could take about a year and that Kardashian herself, as well as her doppelganger and the creative forces behind the commercial, could end up on the witness stand.
The commercial in question stars Kardashian look-a-like Melissa Molinaro, who appeared on the MTV series "Making the Band 3" as well as The CW's talent competition series, "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll." In the commercial, Molinaro is styled similarly to Kardashian, sporting her signature side ponytail. As the commercial progresses, Molinaro sings "I'm super c-u-t-e, every single day" while dancing in a park, a grocery store, and finally on the hood of a car.
Kardashian opted to file a lawsuit over the spot, claiming that Old Navy created confusion in the marketplace and damaged her brand. One of Kardashian's lawyers' key pieces of evidence is reportedly consumer surveys showing that the commercial did manage to leave fans scratching their heads. Members of the media who reported on the commercial, and its likeness to Kardashian, could also be questioned in the case.
Coincidentally, soon after the Old Navy ad aired, reports surfaced that Reggie Bush, Kardashian's ex, was dating Molinaro. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it is even possible that the Miami Dolphins star could be a witness in the case, too.
As the Hollywood Reporter explains, The Gap has a few routes to defend themselves against the lawsuit. One is to prove that Kardashian is "libel-proof," meaning that her reputation is so bad that no single thing could cause true damage. Apparently, The Gap is also investigating how much Kardashian's collaborations with retailers Bebe and Sears earned, as well as "Kim Kardashian's reputation as a singer and dancer." The paper surmises that this could be an attempt to prove that Kardashian is not actually as good a performer as Molinaro, the talent Old Navy hired for the spot.
Luckily for Kardashian, it does not appear that the investigation will delve at all into her 72 day marriage to New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries and the subsequent fallout.

Radcliffe concluded, "I don't think it warranted anywhere near that reaction."

In what is becoming fairly common around election time, another Hollywood star is claiming that if she doesn’t get her way politically she is going to move to Canada. Sophia Bush, the star of One Tree Hill, is the latest casualty to threaten a northern escape from America if Obama is unseated by a Republican challenger.
Speaking to Fox News Bush stated,
“I will not vote for a candidate who thinks you can ‘pray away the gay,’ I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that he has more rights to my uterus than I do, I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that it’s okay to dump toxic waste in the ocean.
I’m afraid for our country that people like this (current Republican candidates) could even be thought of as the president. I live in a country where I believe all men are created equal, not just wealthy white guys.
I believe all men, all women, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, you deserve the same rights. If that’s not where our country is going, then I’ll leave. I don’t need to live here. I’m out! I’ll go to Canada, peace! See you later.”

There's been a lot of talk recently about whether Universal might pursue a Bridesmaids sequel without Kristen Wiig, and in the media firestorm that resulted from that bit of news, it again seemed like Wiig was excluded, as every member of the cast weighed in on the matter except her. However, E! finally caught up with Wiig, and she confirmed what Jon Hamm said months ago: She's not interested in a second Bridesmaids. "We're not planning on doing one," Wiig tells E! "We had a special time making the first one, but we're really excited to try something else." And while that doesn't totally shut the door to a sequel somewhere down the line, it's clear that Wiig has moved on: Not only has she been cast up promising new projects with Paul Rudd and Robert De Niro to act in, but she and her Bridesmaids cowriter Annie Mumolo are already hard at work on a new script. "It's going to be a little bit of a different tone [than Bridesmaids], but it's going to be a comedy, for sure." If she puts Melissa McCarthy in that one, will Universal call a truce?
