Emma Watson & her bf living together at her dad's place....

The actress and her American boyfriend Johnny Simmons are living on the top floor of her dad's North London gaff.

The Harry Potter star is shacked up with the actor in the posh attic rooms of the £2million home while he gets to know her family.

A source said: "Things are getting pretty serious between Emma and Johnny so she wanted to take him back to London to meet her parents.

"They've been having a brilliant time together. Emma knows the city like the back of her hand so is a great person to show him around.

"They've done loads of tourist spots but she has also been taking him to a few flea markets and some great local pubs.

"They've been taking bikes or eco-cars to every tourist trap in the capital, including the London Eye, Big Ben and St Paul's Cathedral."

Yes I know the SOURCE is the Sun, but the photo is of them at King's Cross recently, so...

ABC orders "The Last Resort"

ABC recently grabbed hold of a new pilot called The Last Resort, and it should be a hit in the making since the creators of the show are Shawn Ryan, the creator of The Shield, and feature writer Karl Gajdusek, who wrote the Showtime series, Dead Like Me, and the upcoming Nicolas Cage movie, Trespass. According to Deadline, the project was pitched to the networks on Friday so ABC didn’t waste any time with getting the new pilot on their line-up. Only time will tell if the network will be suffering from buyer remorse in the future.

The Last Resort takes place in the not-so-distant future, where the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine is forced to go on the run when they refuse an order to launch nuclear missiles. They set up at a NATO listening post, where they declare themselves to be “the world’s smallest nuclear nation with 24 nuclear warheads.”

Wild Beasts Remix of Lady Gaga's Yoü And I

Yoü & I is the ridiculous, Shania Twain-esque single from Lady Gaga's Born This Way. Over bar-room piano and a drum beat lifted from Queen's We Will Rock You (Brian May also plays guitar on the track), the song is brilliantly OTT, finding Gaga in 80s hair-metal mode. It makes this Wild Beasts remix all the more remarkable, the band stripping away the bombast to leave it pulsing beautifully over a spooky bass rumble, distant drums and the chopped up and typically, well, horny lyric: "This time we made love, this time baby you and I." Of the surprise pairing, Wild Beasts' Hayden Thorpe told the Guardian: "The unlikeness of this match was perhaps what compelled us to take it on. Gaga in many ways is the epitome of what we are not. She is the butcher to our butter knife. The essential thrill is always to keep eluding what is expected of us and what we expect of ourselves."

The remix is also helping raise awareness to the ways people can support independent labels that lost stock in the Pias UK warehouse fire. More information, as well as links to donate, can be found at the AIM website.

Will and Jada's first public outing since reports of a split

It was surely no coincidence that Will Smith and wife Jada mustered up their biggest smiles today as they made a public outing in the wake of reports their marriage is on the rocks.

The smiling Hollywood couple put on a united front as they went shopping in Malibu this morning, laughing and chatting with fans as they were snapped by the eager paparazzi.

Amy Winehouse 'Back to Black' becomes UK's highest-selling album this century

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black has become the UK's highest-selling album of the century so far.

The record has overtaken James Blunt's 2005 debut Back to Bedlam to lead the 21st century best seller list. When the chart was compiled at the end of the last decade, Back to Black finished in third place, behind Blunt and Dido's No Angel.

Originally released in 2006, Back to Black has had a resurgence in sales since the singer passed away last month.

It returned to the top spot the week after her death, while her debut album Frank also climbed back into the top ten.

The Official Charts Company revealed that Back to Black has now sold 3,259,100 copies, beating Blunt's sales of 3,241,118.

Treme Actor Found Dead in Mississippi River

A real-life tragedy has befallen the Treme family.

The body of Michael Showers, an actor who had a recurring role as police Capt. John Guidry on the HBO drama about New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, was found floating in the Mississippi River this morning. He was 45.

A steamboat captain spotted him at around 11:15 a.m. in waters near New Orleans' French Quarter and Harbor Police recovered the body about 30 minutes later, authorities told the Times-Picayune.

An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death, but the chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner's office estimated that Showers' body had been in the water for two days.

The Times-Picayune identified Showers as being from Chalmette, a village in southeast Louisiana situated on the east bank of the Mississippi River.

In addition to Treme, Showers made appearances in Breaking Bad and The Vampire Diaries, and his movie credits include Traffic, I Love You Phillip Morris and The Tree of Life.

'Drive' International Trailer!

The words “best movie of the year” are thrown around a lot but it seems to be a pretty common phrase being tossed around when it comes to “Drive.” Roaring out of Cannes with fantastic reviews and a Best Director prize for Nicolas Winding Refn, the film has been doing victory laps at a few festivals since, and when our U.K. writer caught up with it at Empire Big Screen, he emphatically stated it was a reminder of “why we love the movies.” This writer has yet to catch up with the film, so this new trailer is a nice way to keep that excitement going. But be warned—if you want to go in fresh, among some of the snatches of new footage, there is a character here who gets shot, so if you don’t want to know, you might want to move on.

As you already know, the film stars Ryan Gosling as a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway-driver-for-hire and gets mixed up in some nasty business. This new trailer features much of what we’ve seen before, with some new peeks and glances woven throughout and closes with a montage set to what can be argued is the “hit single” from the movie, Kavinsky‘s “Night Call.” It’s another sleek and cool trailer for the film that continues to look pretty damn badass.

Co-starring Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Christina Hendricks and Oscar Issac, the film hits TIFF next month and opens on September 16th. Get behind the wheel below.

Most beautiful man in the world (aka Adam Scott) talks about Parks & Rec, Party Down, and smoothies

Since you’re friends with Our Idiot Brother costars Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks, were there any pranks on set?
I don’t think we’re really the prank types. Whenever I hear that, I think of Mel Gibson putting Joe Pesci’s toothbrush on his balls or something. We weren’t really doing any of that. Although Paul does like to bring Joe Pesci’s toothbrush to every set he works on.

Who’s the idiot brother in your family?
It was me for a while. I was the baby of the family, so it’s hard to be taken seriously. I came to Los Angeles to be an actor, which is at best a gamble. I feel like if I didn’t get any work as an actor, I probably would be up in Santa Cruz right now, crashing on my brother’s or my sister’s couch, driving them crazy.

Great Directors love Ryan Gosling, and Carey Mulligan too

Tonight during a hilarious Q & A with Nicolas Winding Refn‘s for his near-perfect film Drive — yes, it’s about as a perfect as a movie can get — the rising auteur dropped two interesting stories. For one, apparently Ryan Gosling will soon be working with Terrence Malick. Refn briefly mentioned that Gosling may do the project after he’s done with Only God Forgives, and before Logan’s Run. Obviously, this news means we’ll be getting the remake a little later than expected.

Remembering Aaliyah: 10 Years Later

It’s been a decade since the tragic death of R&B star and budding actress Aaliyah Dana Haughton.

Just 22 years old at the time of her death, she was in the Bahamas heading back to the States after wrapping up her 2001 music video, “Rock The Boat.”
The twin-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff. Aboard were Aaliyah and eight others — including her hair stylist, Eric Forman, makeup artists Anthony Dodd and Christopher Maldonado, security guard Scott Gallin, video producer Douglas Kratz, Blackground Records employees Keith Wallace and Gina Smith, and the pilot, Luis Morales III. In an instant their lives and Aaliyah’s promising career were gone.

So, on August 25, blast Aaliyah’s timeless music loud and remember her for being a trendsetting force in fashion and for helping to redefine and take R&B music to another level.

This article can also be read on CNN.COM. CL founder/editor Angel Laws is now a contributing writer and content provider to their entertainment section.

The site also did a post about some unreleased and rare Aaliyah songs. I had no idea she was being considered for a role in Sparkle.

Lets make this into an Aaliyah post with any of your favorite photos, music, gifs, .etc about Aaliyah.

THE WOLVERINE Production Pushed Back from Fall 2011 to Spring 2012

The Wolverine is having trouble becoming a movie.  Last fall, Darren Aronofsky signed  on to direct a March 2011 shoot, at which point you got excited about the sequel.  When March came around, Aronofsky dropped out, and you gave up all hope again.  Hugh Jackman promised they’d get The Wolverine in front of cameras by October, and the city of Vancouver was preparing to welcome the crew in November. About that last point: Christopher McQuarrie’s script takes place mostly in Japan.  The bulk of filming was also scheduled for Japan, but the massive March earthquake complicated things, necessitating a greater reliance on Vancouver.  Deadline hears “weather-related considerations” could pull Fox out of Japan altogether, which is unfortunate. Moreover, the fall start looks increasingly unlikely, in part to allow Jackman to film Les Miserables.

The delay won’t cripple development.  Despite critical evisceration, X-Men Origins: Wolverine earned nearly $400 million worldwide.  Fox wants a sequel, but director James Mangold may not get the chance to film until spring 2012, and he may not be able to shoot on location as much as we hoped.

ONTD's giggly spirit animal is still precious

It’s safe to say Anderson Cooper finds laughs in bathroom humor. Just last Thursday, a video clip from Cooper’s CNN show, Anderson Cooper 360, went viral after the anchor fell into an mean case of the giggles during his “Ridiculist” segment. The subject? Actor Gerard Depardieu’s airplane urination which Cooper said at least wasn’t a “Depar-TWO.”

Now, Cooper tells EW he’s even surprised by how popular the footage became. “I don’t know what happened with the giggling,” Cooper tells EW. “I mean, I’ve always giggled like a 13 year-old girl at a Justin Bieber meet and greet. There’s nothing I can do about it but I’ve never not been able to stop. I’m a little stunned by how many people have seen that video. I went to bed telling myself, ‘I doubt anyone will notice the giggle fit.’ I woke up and in the elevator the first thing my building super said to me was, ‘What’s wrong with your laugh?’ It could be worse: I could have a viral video in which I throw up on a guest or drunkenly eat a hamburger on a bathroom floor. Not that I’ve ever done either of those things. Not yet at least.”

Apparently, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has standards

For years, people have come from all over the world to visit the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles to follow in the footsteps of celebrities and snap photos of the plaques dedicated to some of the greatest artists of our time. (Then they hop over to Grauman’s Chinese Theater to discover how many of them have shockingly tiny or unreasonably large hands.) But might future generations step right over the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe and wonder where The Situation and Kim Kardashian are? In other words, youths are horrible, horrible people and we are doomed.

Thankfully, the Hollywood Walk of Fame isn’t having any of that. At least, for now. On Monday, the HWOF’s Facebook page posted, “Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!” (Hmm, I wonder what Jackée or Calvin Tran would have to say about this? Probably this.)

Legendary Actor To Star In A SyFy Movie

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Syfy’s update of the classic sci-fi story The Philadelphia Experiment has cast legendary actor Malcolm McDowell, along with with several other notable names.

McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Entourage) is joined by Nicholas Lea (V, Kyle XY), Michael Paré (Virgin Suicides), Gina Holden (Saw 3D, Final Destination), and Sanctuary vets Ryan Robbins and Emilie Ullerup.

Syfy’s new movie version of The Philadelphia Experiment is based on a mythical 1943 U.S. Navy military test that supposedly made a warship invisible. The story was adapted to a 1984 movie of the same name — which, by the way, starred Paré — and added a sci-fi twist: Two survivors of the experiment traveled forward in time.

This new version is set in modern-day, and concerns a team that attempts to replicate the WWII-era experiment. The test brings the original vanished ship into the 21st century, but with deadly consequences. Lea plays the hero of the tale, McDowell is the original scientist behind the experiment and Paré is one of the villain’s henchmen.

The movie will shoot in Vancouver and premiere next year.

Has David Lynch retired, or is it just a bad dream?

In a house near the Hollywood Hills, a silver-haired man of 65 picks up a guitar. Later, he will paint. He may grind a little coffee. But whatever he's doing, none of it is likely to involve anything even vaguely resembling the making of a feature film. This man is David Lynch – and that particular lack of activity is now, according to a more-or-less reputable source, permanent. The world's greatest living director appears to have quit the job.

Zoe Saldana calls Colombiana campaign stupid

On August 17th an article was posted revealing that several Colombians were outraged over the depiction of their homeland in the upcoming film Colombiana, which comes out August 26 and stars Zoe Saldana.

A non-profit PorColombia mobilized a Facebook and Twitter campaign against the movie and their voices joined a chorus of Colombians online who feel the movie reinforces negative stereotypes about Colombia.

"Our main concern is with the title of the movie," said PorColombia president Carlos Macias. "It was chosen because it is a stereotype that sells. Colombia only appears a few minutes at the beginning of the movie where the parents of the main character are killed in front her eyes. That's it!"

The poster for Colombiana features Saldana's character squeezing a gun between her hands with the
tagline, "Vengeance is beautiful." PorColombia edited a new version of the poster, which they have been distributing through social media. In this poster, flowers have been photo-shopped into Saldana's hands in place of the gun and the top reads "Colombia is beautiful."

Here's the backstory: Successful Southie siblings Mark and Donnie Wahlberg have opened quite a few successful restaurants in Boston, and when they made plans to start a burger joint, there was really only one inevitable name it could have. Unfortunately, the Tom Wahl's chain in Rochester, New York, was already selling something called a "Wahlburger," so the brothers had to work out a full-spectrum deal with that chain in order to acquire the name for ... okay, maybe that backstory isn't so important. The point is, they got the name, and now Wahlburgers is opening in a 120–seat space at the Shipyard, and the chef will be Paul Wahlberg, their older brother. Perfect. Road trip!

Ready to meet Jackson Avery’s mom? Actor-director Debbie Allen has been cast in the upcoming season of "Grey’s Anatomy," playing Catherine Avery. The move brings Allen out from behind the camera on "Grey’s," where she’s previously directed three episodes of the show (not entirely unlike how Eric Stolz directed an episode of "Private Practice" before appearing in "Grey’s").

Allen has a slew of TV directing credits to her name ("Everybody Hates Chris," "That’s So Raven") and is best known as an actress for her work in the movie Fame (both versions). She’ll lend some insight into Jackson’s family in the fifth episode of the eighth season, which premieres on Sept. 22.

whoopi does something good for once

Whoopi Goldberg is the proud new owner over an adorable Russian blue kitten who was rescued after being thrown over a bridge.

The kitten was nicknamed Verrazano by New York Animal Care & Control officials who rescued him after he was hurled from a moving car in early July. An AC&C employee happened to witness the toss and scrambled to save the cat, who became an Internet celebrity in short order.

Verrazano first met Whoopi when he was brought on The View on July 7th. At the time Whoopi said: "I feel that I should have a conversation with Oliver [her other Russian blue cat] when I get home, because I think he needs a friend."

According to AC&C Whoopi was the first of 140 people who came forward to adopt the kitten. She's taken to calling him Vinny and is probably proudly rubbing her nose in his soft little kitty belly right now.

I wanted to appreciate the fact that I had worked so hard all my life to be able to have those moments. I don’t regret anything about making that choice.”

On not wanting to be typecast: “That was a bit of a letdown for me after Buffy. I thought, The [movie] roles are going to be just like Buffy. You’re not going to get stuck playing ‘the girlfriend’ or ‘the wife,’ you’re going to get these three-dimensional characters. But truthfully, those roles are very rare. It’s a better time for actresses on TV than on film.”

On why Ringer works for her: “Ringer is the perfect balance of what audiences want to see me do. It’s Cruel Intentions meets Buffy.”

Kris Jenner Eyed as New 'The Talk' co-host

Isn’t it NBC that’s supposed to be throwing surprising gigs at the
Kardashians given its newfound Comcast-cozy relationship with the E!
cable channel?

Instead, CBS has tapped Kardash matriarch and manager Kris Jenner to guest host on CBS’ The Talk.
Sources confirm Jenner has signed on for two weeks early this season
and is being considered a potential substitute on days when Sharon
Osbourne isn’t available.

The Talk has also selected comedian and radio personality
Sheryl Underwood to join the show as a co-host for the start of next
. Underwood, too, could become a regular, and will join the panel
with Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert and Osbourne for The Talk’s second season launch, beginning Sept. 6.

The two could potentially replace Leah Remini and Holly Robinson
who are not expected to return next season since their contracts
were not picked up.

Martin Luther King Jr. & Malcolm X Inspired New “X-Men” Film

When moviegoers sit to watch the latest adventures of the popular comic book mutants in this summer’s anticipated blockbuster prequel X-Men: First Class, they’ll be indirectly be getting a history lesson.

Actor Michael Fassbender, who plays the militant mutant Magneto says the conflicting and complicated lives of Malcolm X and the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. directly informed the performances of the film’s two lead actors. X-Men: First Class is the story of two massively powerful mutants who struggle against bitter prejudice.
“It came up early on in the rehearsal period and that was the path we took,” Fassbender told the Los Angeles Times. “These two brilliant minds coming together and their views aren’t that different on some key things. As you watch them you know that if their understanding, ability and intelligence could somehow come together it would be really special. But the split is what makes them even more interesting and tragic.”
Actor James McAvoy, best known for his role in the feature film Last King of Scotland, plays Charles Xavier/Professor X, the King-influenced mutant.
See how the philosophies of Malcolm and King play out in a blockbuster, sci-fi setting when X-Men: First Class hits theaters on June 3rd!

This poll was posted on the website. I thought it was an interesting question with interesting results.

Chord Overstreet on Leaving Glee and What's Next (Music and The Middle!)

Trouty Mouth is finally talking.

In his first interview since parting ways with Glee earlier this summer, Chord Overstreet is setting the record straight about the circumstances surrounding his departure from the Fox phenom and his plans for the future, including an album and a stint on ABC’s The Middle.

TVLINE | What was your reaction when you learned Glee had decided not to pick up your series regular option for Season 3?
Of course I was bummed initially. I had the best time working on the show and I had one of the best life experiences. It was a blast. But I decided to look at it as an opportunity to dive into my music.

TVLINE | The news broke when you were on the road for the final leg of the Glee concert tour. Was the cast supportive?
We spent the past 12, 13 months together, so we were like a family. I made some friends for life. They were all there for me. They were all really sweet.

TVLINE | The producers invited you back on a recurring basis with the possibility of becoming a regular later in the season, but you declined. Why?
I’ve been writing music my entire life and I had an opportunity to work on a record. It’s something I have a huge passion for. I did a lot of thinking and I felt like it was a good time to work on my album and focus on that avenue of my career. They offered me the chance to come back for a few episodes, but there was nothing guaranteed so I decided to dive into the music thing. And that’s been my main priority the past two months.

TVLINE | Where do things stand with your music?
I’m working on the album and I’ve been encouraged and excited by the interest from record labels and publishers. Hopefully we’ll get something out there for the fans to hear pretty soon.

TVLINE | But you’re doing an episode of the The Middle, so clearly you’re not closing the door on an acting career.
Right now my main focus is music, but I love The Middle. It’s one of my favorite shows. I’m a huge Neil Flynn fan. So when they asked, “Do you want to do this for one day?,” I was like, “I can do a scene with Neil Flynn? Sure, why not?”

TVLINE | You’re playing Brick’s new teacher, right?
Yeah, I play a 22-year-old teacher who’s really excited about his job.

TVLINE | Will you continue to watch Glee?
I don’t think I could ever stop watching it. [Laughs]

Olivia Wilde may replace Jennifer Garner in "Better Living Through Chemistry"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"Cowboys & Aliens" star Olivia Wilde is set to replace Jennifer Garner in Occupant Films' darkly comedic thriller "Better Living Through Chemistry."

Indie pic was originally slated to star Garner before she recently became pregnant with her third child.

In July, Sam Rockwell signed on to play a meek, small-town pharmacist stuck in a loveless marriage who rediscovers himself by starting an affair with a trophy wife, who will now be played by his "Cowboys" co-star Wilde.

After she introduces him to the pleasures of prescription drugs, things spin out of control when they begin plotting to kill her husband.

The Anti-Kardashian Lauren Conrad reveals her sponsorship strategy

While the Kardashians continue to promote everything under the sun (silly bandz, rip-off credit cards) and show up to the opening of a toilet (see below), Lauren Conrad is far more selective. In her latest blog for Forbes she details how she chooses companies to promote.

Kimmycakes promoting asswipes. Lauren promoting Reeses peanut butter cups.

A good number of companies first approached me to sponsor their brands while I was on Laguna Beach. From the moment I received my first offer I knew I had to be selective. Working with the wrong company could potentially distort my image and ultimately chip away at the faith of my fans. A sponsorship makes sense only when the company or product aligns with the qualities of my overall brand and most importantly, my personal interests.

Rep: Jim Carrey's video to Emma Stone is a 'comical love letter'

Jim Carrey’s video message to Emma Stone, where he confesses his love for the actress was simply a joke, the actor’s rep told Access Hollywood.

“I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but, you know, smart and kindhearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you, and we would have chubby little freckled faced kids. We’d laugh all day long and go camping and play Yahtzee and tell ghost stories by the fire. And the sex?,” Carrey said in a video message to the actress posted on his website.

While his words may have raised eyebrows to some, a rep for the star said it’s all meant in good fun.

“It’s a comical love letter,” Carrey's rep told Access when asked about the video.

Liam Neeson’s Family Will Be ‘Taken’ Again in October

After getting my hair blown back by all the awesome old man violence in the first Taken, I’ve been following the development of the sequel pretty closely. The idea of making a sequel to a film where a guy’s daughter gets kidnapped is a tricky one. What do you do, have her get kidnapped again? Have somebody else in the family get kidnapped? It’s pretty easy with a concept like this to get into ridiculous, “how does the same thing happen to the same guy twice” territory. But as long as they don’t dwell on the improbabilities and instead just focus on Liam Neeson brutally exacting his vengeance on bad guys, I don’t really mind.

The 7 Creepiest Rooms from Horror Movies... OH GOD, WHAT'S THAT BEHIND YOU?????

For those who know me, or even know of me really, it’s no secret that I’m a horror fan. There’s something to be said about turning off all the lights, no interruptions, and watching as chaos swallows the characters onscreen. Whether it’s the pounding of the door (like in 1963′s The Haunting) or a well-placed shriek (in the case of Hitchcock’s seminal classic, Psycho) there’s a lot more to horror than the blood and guts so many horror films shower themselves in these days.

Sometimes it’s as simple as the location. In celebration of the release of this week’s Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, which involves a creepy basement, we’re gonna take a look at some of the mansions that put the scare in horror movies. Today, we take a look at some of the creepy locations that have stood the test of time and stick out as horror landmarks.

7. The Shining (1980) – The Room 237

Recap: An innkeeper and his family are snowed in at the scenic Overlook Hotel. As the season wears on, it becomes clear that there’s something off about the hotel… something possibly linked to the mysterious Room 237.
Reason: Stanley Kubrick manages to make a sprawling inn seem like one of the most claustrophobic places in movie history. But it’s not just about the inn as a whole. I will never forget the moment that Jack Torrance goes into Room 237. I was 8 (great parenting, right?) and curled up alone in the basement. The only thing more intriguing than the allure of the forbidden room was the fear of what was in there. Easily one of the most bizarre scenes I’d ever experienced in my young life, but even years later, that distinction might still hold true.

Watchdog Group In A Tizzy Over Unsexy ‘Sexy’ Cartoons

The Parents Television Council, the conservative media watchdog group that recently complained about the upcoming NBC show "The Playboy Club," released a study on Tuesday criticizing broadcasters of cartoons for pervasive sexual, drug-promoting and foul language-using cartoon programs, which, they claim, "enables today's youth to dismiss risky behavior and attitudes, to belittle parents' concerns and to disparage threats to our nation's public health and safety."

The report, titled "Cartoons Are No Laughing Matter: Sex, Drugs and Profanity on Primetime Animated Programs," charted incidents of what they deemed inappropriate content from cable networks Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Disney Channel and Nick At Nite.

Amongst the findings, PTC found 377 instances of sexual references & conduct, including:

Simulations or obscured scenes of sexual intercourse, pornography, masturbation, pedophilia and prostitution. Also, there was nudity, emphasizing sexual body parts (i.e. close-ups of breasts), sexual clothing (i.e. dominatrix outfits, sexy lingerie, thong panties, etc.), suggestive dancing, and stripping.

Citing a number of incidents as examples, the PTC offered scenes in "Family Guy" that included an old man punching his penis while watching porn, as well as one that features star Peter Griffin's bumper sticker that reads, "My Other Penis Is A Vagina." They also point out a scene in "King of the Hill" in which Hank Hill grills hamburgers while nude.

The PTC cited "American Dad," as well, quoting a character as saying, "No, look, I'm a sex offender. I love offensive sex. I offend people with the sex I have. That's who I am. And that's who I'll always be."

As for foul language, the PTC said that they found 565 incidents of "sexual slang or misogynistic language," noting in particular the words:

Bitch, pussy, cock, dick, suck, screw, douche, ass, balls, slut, whore, ho, skank, damn, crap, hell, piss, and bastard.

One of the PTC's many offered remedies for the scourge of humor is a la carte cable broadcasting, or the ability for subscribers to choose which channels they want to receive, while not paying for or supporting other broadcasters. The group also recently criticized Rihanna's new music video, "Man Down," for its portrayal of violence.

Matt Interview + Photoshoot in Shortlist Magazine

After effortlessly proving the doubters and the ‘Doctor Who?’ headlines wrong, Matt Smith is a man in demand. Not that he likes to boast about it, as ShortList’s Jonathan Pile discovers

Matt Smith is a man to envy. His tenure as the Doctor has been universally lauded, he gets to refer to model Daisy Lowe as “my lady” and, as he proves while leaning casually against an Aston Martin — his chosen motor to front our car special — he looks great in a suit.

He’s also one of a group of young Brits (along with the likes of Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch and Jim Sturgess) with the potential to conquer the acting world. And with this kind of success comes the obvious perks: a constant blur of exclusive parties in exotic locales, surrounded by beautiful people, with expensive champagne flowing endlessly into crystal goblets. But don’t take our word for it. Let the 28-year-old actor himself revel in his decadent lifestyle.

“I’m up at 6am, work all day, get back at 8pm, prepare for the next day, eat hummus and go to bed. I work nine months of the year, and it’s quite solitary in Cardiff.”

Oh. To be honest, that’s not exactly how we pictured it.

Rupert Grint meets his Starkid doppelganger

Darren Criss may be following in Daniel Radcliffe's career footsteps, but they have yet to meet in real life. The same can't be said for fellow Starkid Joey Richter, who plays Ron Weasley in the popular A Very Potter Musical/Sequel.

Darren recently tweeted this picture of Joey's encounter with Rupert Grint, sounding just a wee bit jealous --

Meanwhile, much of Team Starkid will be performing and hosting an event in Chicago this weekend called the Funtastic Slamaganza, the proceeds of which will be donated to Snow City Arts, a terrific organization helping to bring arts education to hospitalized children. Check them out here, and feel free to donate! and

Lmfao, Joey looks so excited and nerdy to be standing next to Rupert, adorable! I'm going to the Slamaganza this weekend, I could just die of excitement. Anyone else here going? Also, after all these years, this is my first post! Hoping to post more Starkid-related news & info in the future, if it's okay. Woo!

Amanda Seyfried Covers 'Joy' September 2011

Amanda Seyfried graces the cover of Joy’s September issue.

Here’s what the 25-year-old In Time star had to share with the Indonesian mag:

On preferring romantic films: “I am very romantic
myself and always listen to my heart. It’s not necessarily always the
wisest to leave everything to gut instinct, but that’s just me. I live
for the moment! I enjoy acting in love films as they inspire me and
awake positive feelings in me.”

On how she explains her success: “I was often told
I’m the type of woman who other women like to have as friends and men
like to be with. I’m not a diva though, neither a supernatural beauty. I
actually see myself as pretty normal.”

On what she looks for in a guy: “For me it is very
important to have a humorous partner and that he also has the necessary
maturity. He should be thoughtful and know what he wants!”

On what makes her feel sexy: “High heels, red lips, and a little black dress.”

Will Star Trek return to the small screen?

To boldly go where several series have gone before…

It’s been six years since Star Trek: Enterprise was cancelled, marking the first time since Star Trek: The Next Generation’s premiere in 1987 that there wasn’t a television program set in that universe. Shortly after its cancellation, X-Men director Bryan Singer actually set out to pitch a new series to executives, but scrapped plans when J.J. Abrams was hired on for a new feature film. And Trek writer Roberto Orci has claimed via Twitter that there have been talks – if nothing else – of a possible animated series, much like Star Wars: The Clone Wars (but hopefully, unlike Star Trek: The Animated Series, which ran from 1973-74).

But Trekkers around the world can take solice in the fact that David Foster of 1947 Entertainment is closer than anyone else has been in bringing Starfleet back to living rooms. Foster began working on the idea with the late Kevin Severson, who died last year of a stroke, buthas moved forward and is looking to create a Star Trek series that harkens back to creator Gene Roddenberry’s original ideals. However, he also promises that it won’t be too “old fashioned”, and that some of his inspiration comes from such noted people like Joss Whedon (Firefly), Ron Moore (the rebooted Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Manny Coto (Odyssey 5, Star Trek: Enterprise), and J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5). And he’s even gone to great lengths to create a program worth watching. According to Foster:

“The series concept is fully developed, subject to change of course, with a solid 5-7 year series plan, pilot script and a conceptualized finale that intends to define Star Trek for generations, extensive character bios, costume and ship/set designs, and more. This is a drastic departure from the typical 8-10 page treatment of the previously pitched Star Trek series ideas that have not included even a pilot script.”

The show itself will be set sometime after Voyager, and will remain faithful to the pre-alternate timeline (as created in Abrams’ 2009 film) canon, so as to appeal to older Trek-fans,and to not intrude upon the new film series. This is a pretty interesting idea, and as a Trekker for many years, I would love to see this happen. He also offered this idea for the series: “If evil wore theface of a hero, would you recognize it? If freedom came in the likeness of your oppressors, would you accept it? If you were your own enemy, who would be victorious?” He has even said that there would be two openly gay characters, something that has never really been addressed in the Star Trek universe. He also goes on to say:

“The series is highly energized with a much younger cast, and uses cutting-edge future technologies with newly envisioned special effects and designs. It includes Klingons, Ferengi, Andorians, Vulcans, Trill, and many more. The Klingons are getting very restless since the Praxis incident forced them to come to the peace tables, and are tired of having to rely on the Federation for support. The Ferengi have discovered a vast new resource that has propelled them towards instant riches and power beyond anything they have previously experienced.”

Foster has garnered support from others who have been involved with previous incarnations of Star Trek, and he is currently looking for an Executive Producer to help pitch the series. [Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me), who's a huge Star Trek fan and has experience working on the franchise, would be a perfect choice. - News Ed. (Calvin Peat)] This is brilliant news, and I certainly hope his vision for a new Star Trek series sees the light of day. Hopefully a network will be convinced by his pitch, and decide to make it so…
