Sailor Moon

I won’t be able to share my 5 Fast 5 Furious review for a few more days, but in the meantime, I’m hearing early reports that there’s a character in it named “Han Seoul-Oh.” Oh, don’t worry, he’s Asian, so it makes total sense. Actor Sung Kang is officially credited as “Han” in Fast Five and “Han Lue” in Fast and Furious (4 Fast 4 Furious), but from what I hear, his name shows up on a screen as “Han Seoul-Oh” multiple times during Fast Five, though it’s never spoken, referenced, or explained. So… was this something that I missed in the last movie?

Like Han Solo, get it? Except “Seoul?” because he’s a Korean racecar driver? Wait, time out. Was that really the joke? That couldn’t be the joke, could it? Someone tell me that wasn’t the joke. Does he have a grunting Chinese sidekick named “Chu Baka”? Does he know why Paul Skywalker is such a terrible actor? “Never tell me the odds. All Koreans don’t like to be told the odds.”

I’m so confused, you guys. If anyone knows anything about this, please share. It just seems like a very odd reference for a five-year-old.

Freida Pinto reveals marriage plan

Freida Pinto will only marry someone who views her as the "apple of his eye".

The actress is currently dating Dev Patel, who she met on the set of 2008 movie Slumdog Millionaire. There are no wedding bells chiming for the couple at the moment though, with Freida explaining when she does tie the knot her husband will have a lot to live up to.

The star is very close to her father and he's taught her that men should always treat her well.

"I am a daddy's little girl," she laughed. "I always said when I get married, the person I choose must have my father's best qualities: be patient, love me to bits and really say that I am the apple of his eye."

Freida and Dev are having fun together but are in no rush to make their relationship more permanent. That said, the actress couldn't imagine dating anyone else as she has such a close bond with Dev.

The pair get on so well they can even tell what each other is thinking, with Freida revealing she only need to say "five words" and Dev completely gets her point.

Is Christina Aguilera actually getting GOOD press? Doomsday is near.

I Have Fallen In Love With Christina Aguilera All Over Again!

Christina Aguilera has had her share of misfortunes this past year, but they’ve only made her more relatable and now she’s back with her new show The Voice!

I’ve already expressed what a fan I am of Christina Aguilera‘s new show The Voice, but I’d also like to touch on how it has made me like Christina even more. I’ve always been a fan of Christina’s music, and I don’t think even her worst critics can deny that the girl can sing beautifully. After her Super Bowl flub, her trip down the stairs at the Grammys, and her public intoxication arrest (oops), Christina caught a lot of grief for her post-divorce behavior. But, in my opinion, the world is about to see a wonderful side of Christina come through on The Voice and I already began to see glimpses of it last night!

Paul Walker Is Going To Get Fast And Furious With ‘Vehicle 19’

Paul Walker is a bit of a conundrum. While he’s one of the stars of the long-running “Fast & Furious” franchise, and while he’s had some modest successes on his own—“Takers,” “Running Scared,” uh “Eight Below”—he’s not quite a proven leading man on his own either. However, it seems the actor knows which side his bread is buttered on and his next film is another wheelman effort.

Variety reports that Walker will star and executive produce the indie thriller “Vehicle 19.” The Black List approved script is written by Mukunda Michael Dewil, who will also be directing, and the story follows “an American man with a rap sheet who travels to South Africa and finds himself unknowingly transporting a hostage to testify against a corrupt police force.” Not exactly the most original idea in the world but we’d imagine there’s more to it if it got some Black List buzz.

Anyway, cameras will get rolling in August in South Africa and it should be interesting to see how it plays out. The trade suggests that Walker’s popularity will grow thanks to “Fast Five” but since that didn’t happen with the past movies, and since people only watch those movies to see shit explode and not for the actors in particular, we’re not sure how much bearing it will have on his career. “Vehicle 19” will probably hit sometime next year.

Did Michael Vick And Alicia Silverstone Kill Dogfighting App?

The Android app Dog Wars, which lets players "feed, water, train and fight your virtual dog," certainly sounds distasteful. And now it's off the market, thanks to unlikely team of Alicia Silverstone and Michael Vick.

It's no surprise that longtime vegan Silverstone is against the game. According to E!, she says,

"As a mom-to-be and someone who has adopted and loved rescued pit bulls. I join PETA's millions of members in imploring you to cancel this game immediately. If one dog dies as a result of this game, you will not forgive yourself."

But recovered dogfighter Michael Vick also had something to say:

"I've come to learn the hard way that dogfighting is a dead-end street. Now, I am on the right side of this issue, and I think it's important to send the smart message to kids, and not glorify this form of animal cruelty, even in an Android app."

Despite these criticisms, Dog Wars manufacturer Kage Games sounded unrepentant in a statement:

"Remember: It is just a video game. . . . Go complain to someone who cares about Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Weed Farmer, Smoke A Bowl . . . and maybe even Sierra's Leisure Suit Larry from 1987."

It's true that many video games glorify cruelty to human beings, and so focusing on a dogfighting game while ignoring all of them seems a little myopic. And while E! speculates that the Android Market had pulled the game in response to pressure, Kage Games says on Twitter that they pulled the game themselves to make updates. They add, "It lives......Dog Wars lives! Making some updates we'll be back up shortly!" And so the Dog Wars wars continue.

'Glee' Hits Low With "Born This Way"

What This Season's Worst-Rated Episode Of "Glee" Means For The Show, NBC And Lady Gaga

Only 8 million viewers making it there lowest watched episode of the season.

Wow: the 90-minute, incessantly hyped Lady Gaga episode of "Glee" turned out to be a serious flop.

Not only was it beaten by the first episode of NBC's new show "The Voice," it was the lowest-rated episode of the season.

A "Glee"-Gaga collaboration seemed unbeatable until it wasn't.

And the episode's failure is an equally bad sign for both of them.

Here's what it means for Gaga: her rise to hysterical, ubiquitous star status happened with incredible speed. Now, she's plateauing -- or maybe even slipping. (If "Glee" fans won't tune in for her, who will?)
Plus, the criticism long-hurled against the singer -- that her fame comes from outfits and controversy, not musical innovation -- is finally catching up with her.

Case in point: she releases "Judas" during Easter week to roil up the Catholics. Meanwhile, the only thing anyone has to say about the actual music is "sounds like Madonna."
Failing to reel in a "Glee" audience should teach Gaga that she's got to work as hard as any other artist to keep her fans -- and the recording studio, not the person-sized-egg-factory, is where that work should take place.

Then there's "Glee" itself. We've already complained that the show is neglecting the characters that made it so lovable -- and going in circles with storylines.
Now, it's eminently clear that stunts like the 90-minute Gaga episode aren't going to keep the show afloat. Which means serious change had better be in store for season three -- change that includes some paring down.

It's fine -- wonderful, even -- to have big, glimmering moments. That's at the heart of the show's appeal. But we don't need to be showered with heavy moral messages, slapdash romances and loophole-laced stakes for a full hour.
And finally, we come to NBC. Guess what, NBC? We have nothing but good news for you. "The Voice" might very well be the ratings panacea the network needs so desperately. People chose Adam Levine over Lea Michele in droves last night -- and you don't see that every day.

Don't be surprised if Lady Gaga calls, asking to make an appearance.

THE Flawless Trio Post

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”

But filming wasn’t always quite so idyllic. As the stars and director tell EW, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 (in theaters November 18 and November 2012) involved a grueling, globe-trotting shoot, and scenes far darker, bloodier, and more polarizing than any in the franchise so far. If audiences haven’t matured with the Twilight books, they’re about to grow up fast. “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be,” says director Bill Condon, who knew he was working within the constraints of a PG-13 rating. “It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.” For her part, Stewart wishes the movie could have been even truer to the graphic nature of the book — not so much the honeymoon sequence (“It feels like a real love scene, not necessarily vampire-y, which is good”), but the brutal birth of the baby, Renesmee. “It’s funny because when [the PG-13 issue] comes up, everybody thinks it’s all about the sex,” she says. “The birth is really effective, and I’ve heard it really hits you in the face. But what it could have been? It could have been shocking and grotesque, because that’s how it was written in the book.” She sighs: “I would have loved to have been puking up blood.”

Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, says that even being a member of the wolf pack didn’t have its privileges. “Everybody is always complaining to me that I don’t have to wear the contacts, I don’t have to wear the white makeup or wear wigs and all that stuff. And I’m like, ‘I’m the one in the freezing rain and cold not wearing a shirt! I paid my dues in New Moon and Eclipse.’” And as for his plot arc in Part 2, which will involve falling for — or imprinting on — Renesmee? “There were many times I walked up to Stephenie [Meyer] and asked her, ‘What exactly is imprinting?’” says Lautner. “It’s still a very confusing thing for me, so don’t ask.”

For more behind-the-scenes details on Breaking Dawn, plus exclusive photos — including one of Bella and Edward in a steamy waterfall embrace — pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on stands Friday, April 29.

PEOPLE magazine joins in on the Breaking Dawn fun! <333 *New Stills*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Twilight teens are finally growing up.

In the next installment of the saga, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Edward and Bella (played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) take their relationship to the next level.

“They make love for the first time, they get married and pregnant,” says director Bill Condon.

Much of the vampire honeymoon was shot just outside of the Brazilian town of Paraty. “There’s this incredibly sensual vibe down there,” says Condon.

While Jacob, the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner doesn’t get the girl in this one, he does manage to get over her, and in doing so “becomes a man,” says Condon. At least he gets to ride a cool motorcycle.

The Twenty-Five Best TV Roles For Women

Picking the 25 best television roles for women wasn't easy. Television has been around for long enough that women have played thousands of characters ranging from presidents to gods, mothers to strippers, aliens to stripper aliens and pretty much everything in between. In devising this list, we wanted to choose women we admired, or who were pioneers (not literally, sorry Ma Ingalls), or had stories that stuck with you for years. The female characters who ended up on the list come from the Upper East Side, California, Baltimore, distant futures, and other worlds. These women are strong, sassy, determined, ambitious. They were trailblazers for women both on television and off. They tackled hot-button issues head on and changed the course of national political conversations by virtue of plot lines on their shows.

These women range from savvy to devilish to forthright and true. They were career women, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, leaders, cheerleaders, and some of them were just having more fun than anyone else in the room. They are the women we would like to be, or the women we would just like to get a drink with sometime, and, in some cases, the women we wouldn't want to be caught with alone in a room.

In short, these are the 25 best characters played by women on television.

Donald Trump For President...Says Joey Lawrence

Woah! While a number of award winning actors have hit out against Donald Trump in recent days, the potential GOP presidential candidate has at least one Hollywood supporter: former "Blossom" star Joey Lawrence.

The one-time teen heartthrob came out in support of Trump on Tuesday, just a night before Trump's main political point -- that President Obama may not have been born in the United States -- was blown up by a White House release of the President's birth certificate. But to Lawrence, that may not matter; it's more than an issue of natural citizenship.

"Obama was something fresh, and new, and people wanted to put their faith in his message of being different and 'change' and all this stuff two years ago, but that fell flat because he gets in there and it's pretty much the same old thing. I think everybody can agree on that, there's no real change," he told Fox News at a Hollywood event.

But why the Donald? He likes his willingness to not be so politically correct -- something Trump has more than proved over the past few months -- and thinks his approach to governing would be new and effective.

"I think Donald is an interesting character. He's an amazing CEO, this is a business," Lawrence continued. "This is a business, running this country is a business and it has not been run the last decade the right way, whether it's Republican or Democrat, so it's not really a party issue, it's more of a person issue. Somebody has to get in there and really hold people accountable."

The actor also cautioned against raising the debt ceiling, something economists say would end in catastrophe.

His support of Trump comes after the flashy CEO engaged in a war of words with Jerry Seinfeld and Robert De Niro over his birtherism; Seinfeld earned his wrath after pulling out of a charity event, while De Niro called The Donald out over his public campaign during a Tribeca Film Festival event.

But hey, if Trump does decide to run, at least he has the mid-90's youth-oriented situation comedy vote now.

Josh will be heading down to North Carolina soon while Vanessa has no projects on the horizon meaning she could join her man as he films! It seems like Zac and Vanessa have both moved on following their split!

Ellie Goulding to Play at the Royal Wedding Reception

ELLIE GOULDING has been handed the task of getting THE QUEEN to do the worm at the Royal Wedding.
The pop star will be WILLIAM and KATE's official wedding reception singer tomorrow.

She'll be belting out her back catalogue and hopefully some wedding classics such as Oops Upside Your Head, The Time Warp and Land Down Under.

A source said: "Wills and Kate are huge fans of Ellie and were keen to sign her up.

"Her music goes down well with the young ones, plus a few of the older guests will be nodding their heads along.

"They really wanted a top British talent and the couple are delighted Ellie agreed to perform. She can't wait - although she's a tad nervous."

You can't blame Ellie if she has had a few sleepless nights before the big day.

Wedding singers face a tough job getting the party going.

She'll be praying PRINCE HARRY gets on the Pimm's early and demands guests move to the dancefloor.

No doubt he'll be backed up by ZARA PHILLIPS' fiancé MIKE TINDALL.

Rugby players don't usually need to be asked twice to throw a few moves - though they are usually just wearing a jockstrap when they do.

Ellie will have boyfriend GREG JAMES to keep her company. The Radio 1 DJ will be by her side all day.

When it's her turn to get on stage, Greg can pull up a chair by the buffet, grab a plate of sausage rolls and scotch eggs, sink a can of lager and watch his missus in action.

It will be interesting to see if Ellie sings Wills and Kate's first dance tune.

Her cover of ELTON JOHN classic Your Song did very well at Christmas and is bound to be right up their street.

But as the royal couple got together while studying at St Andrews University you can't rule out a song born north of the border.

They can't go wrong with Let's Get Married by THE PROCLAIMERS.

I'm so excited she's getting such awesome recent gigs and publicity! LOVE her.

According to TVLine, Broadway star Patti Lupone will be guest-starring on the final: “Patti Lupone is currently shooting scenes with Lea Michele and another male costar who may or may not be Chris Colfer in midtown Manhattan for the show’s Nationals-themed season finale. In the sequence, Rachel and (maybe) Kurt run into the Tony winner at iconic eatery Sardi’s.”

Lea is definitely excited about Patti’s appearance. She tweeted: “On set right now working with one of my all time idols…another day where glee makes one of my dreams come true:)”

Michael Jackson's children taking acting classes in Hollywood!

Their father was one of the most famous people in the world -- and it looks like the Jackson children are eager to follow in his footsteps.

Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and nine-year-old Blanket have recently been spotted attending after-school acting classes in Hollywood, toting along a copy of the book "Respect for Acting" by Uta Hagen.

Paris (who said she often used to perform improv skits with MJ) told Good Morning America in February that she was thinking of auditioning for a school play, though it is not know whether or not she was successful.

Michael's eldest son, Prince, said his passion lay in directing and producing. He told GMA host Robin Roberts that his father had been encouraging, even going so far as to fly a UCLA film professor to their house in order to teach his children the art of film making. Quite an advantage for a 14 year old budding director!

But despite their obvious showbiz connections, it's nice to see some celeb kids having fun and learning the essentials before getting involved in the Hollywood game.

"They don't tell us anything."

Her hit show may be called Pretty Little Liars, but Lucy Hale is refreshingly honest in real life. The actress, 21, phoned into our office after her NYLON beauty shoot, and promptly confessed she usually doesn't do her own makeup for the red carpet - a nice change from the "I just rolled out of bed looking perfect" vibe attempted by some of Young Hollywood. That's not to say Hale's huge eyes, luscious hair, and album-ready singing voice aren't the makings of a major screen siren. But being a good Southern girl (Hale hails from Memphis), she's just a little more polite about it than most.

Fox News calls Glee "propaganda", "too gay"

A Fox News segment asked whether programs like Glee, which this week focused on bullying and acceptance, represent “propaganda" unfit for children.

Towleroad.com reports on the segment featuring anchorwoman Denali Keith, hate group leader Bryan Fischer and gay activist Ray Hill.

“What these television programs are doing is glamorizing homsexual behavior, glamorizing homosexual conduct,” said Fischer in response to the debate introduced by Keith.

Hill responded at one point, “I don’t care how hard you try to revive 1954. She ain’t coming back.”

'The Hunger Games': Elizabeth Banks officially cast as Effie + District 4 tributes cast

Yes! Elizabeth Banks will be taking on the role of Effie in the upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games. A half-hour ago, the actress coyly asked Twitter followers to name the origin of the quote “I’m smiling at you even though you’re aggravating me,” which, we know, is a line from none other than that effervescent escort to extinction, Ms. Trinket. The actress then retweeted the correct answer along with “Yes! And I can now confirm I’m EFFIE TRINKET in @TheHungerGames. So excited!”, confirming that she would indeed be reteaming with her Seabiscuit director Gary Ross to play the character in his big-screen version of the bestselling YA novel.

Banks was reported to be in discussions for the role last week. She’ll join Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Paula Malcomson, Willow Shields, and the slew of other actors in the smaller tribute roles that have already been cast. Right now, Haymitch, District 12’s former winner and current alcoholic, is the only major role left to cast. There’s also President Snow who, while he only has a small role in the first book, becomes much more important in the sequels.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere why I think the 30 Rock actress is ideal for the role, so naturally I’m ecstatic. We’ll have to wait to see if the book’s many fans agree with me. Filming for the movie is scheduled to start at the end of May.

Superman is no longer an American.

Superman is no longer an American.

In Action Comics’ new record-breaking 900th issue, the iconic super hero renounces his U.S citizenship following a clash with the federal government.

The Man of Steel, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1938, has always been recognized as a devoted American warrior who constantly fought evil, but as of Thursday, he is no longer the country's own to claim.

No word yet if Superman will change his red and blue suit, or his longtime motto "truth, justice and the American way" -- but the landmark issue is certainly sparking controversy.

"Besides being riddled with a blatant lack of patriotism, and respect for our country, Superman's current creators are belittling the United States as a whole. By denouncing his citizenship, Superman becomes an eerie metaphor for the current economic and power status the country holds worldwide," Hollywood publicist and GOP activist Angie Meyer told FOX411's Pop Tarts column.

But not everyone is outraged by Superman's citizenship surrender.

"Superman has always been bigger than the United States. In an age rife with immigration paranoia, it’s refreshing to see an alien refugee tell the United States that it’s as important to him as any other country on Earth -- which, in turn, is as important to Superman as any other planet in the multiverse," wrote Wired blogger Scott Thill.

"The genius of Superman is that he belongs to everyone, for the dual purposes of peace and protection," Thill added. "He’s above ephemeral geopolitics and nationalist concerns, a universal agent unlike any other found in pop culture."

Mexican actress gets 30 days in marriage case

LOS ANGELES – A Mexican soap opera star accused of entering a sham marriage to stay in the United States was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail after admitting she lied during an immigration proceeding.

Fernanda Romero and her husband, Kent Ross, were both expected to avoid serving time as a result of plea bargains in the case.

However, U.S. District Judge Manuel Real noted the seriousness of the crime — the two pleaded guilty to making false statements — and ordered both to start serving their sentences on weekends beginning in June.

Prosecutors recommended Romero pay a $5,000 fine and serve five years' probation. Real agreed with placing Romero and Ross, both 28, on probation but did not require either of them to pay a fine.

"It's disappointing," one of Romero's attorneys, Vicki Podberesky, said after the hearing. "Ms. Romero is remorseful for what happened.

The Mexican-born actress has had bit roles in U.S. films such as the 2009 horror movie "Drag Me To Hell," but is perhaps best known for appearing in the Mexican soap opera "Eternamente Tuya," which means "eternally yours."

Fefe Dobson Interview

Defiant Canadian pop star Fefe Dobson walked away from her major label deal in her late teens, determined to create her own blend of pop music. Since then, she's won significant praise in her home country, including Juno Nominations, packed out tours across Canada and a bulging home-grown fanbase.

Now Fefe is venturing across the shores, with an aim to entince fans further afield. I Like Music caught up with Fefe to chat about touring with Justin Timberlake the last time she was in the UK, her love of rock n roll, performing infront of Bruce Springsteen and Green Day and her second album Joy.

"I Like Music because… it saved me." FEFE DOBSON

ILM: How would you describe your music, your sound?

Fefe: Joy is my second album release. My first album came out in 2003. I've been working on this album for four years. Writing-wise, this is based on relationships and the last four years of my life - the trials and tribulations of love, being set free from chains holding me back. It's really just like a female journal. Musically it would be categorised on the shelf of a record store in the rock/pop section. For me the energy's foundation is rock and roll and the melodies are more pop driven.

Canadian Cutie Cory & Country CUNextTuesday Carrie Feuding! But Likely Have No Idea About Said Feud.

How would Finn Hudson look in a grizzly beard? Because it’s Stanley Cup playoff season in the National Hockey League, the time when superstitious players refuse to shave as long as their team’s alive, and Glee‘s Cory Monteith is a passionate Vancouver Canucks fan. His team advanced to the second round on Tuesday night with a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory in a Game 7 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Wearing a green Canucks t-shirt, the Canadian native stopped by NHL.com to relive his team’s glorious cliffhanger, which he witnessed on TV in a midtown New York pub. “I literally stood up … and started screaming,” crowed Monteith. “And everybody was like, ‘What is this guy doing?’”

Vancouver and Monteith might have their hands full now, though. Not only do the Canucks face the Nashville Predators in a best-of-seven series beginning tonight, but Monteith’s fandom — and singing talents — is about to be crushed by one Carrie Underwood. The singing sensation is married to Predators forward Mike Fisher.

Will these two high-profile fans be willing to put their voices where… their mouths are? Loser has to sing the other’s national anthem in the playoffs’ next round? Who’s game for a little wager?

Is Two and a Half Men finally over?

There's a 50/50 chance "Two and a Half Men" will not come back for an 9th season ... people connected with the production tell TMZ.

There are certain things we know for sure ...

-- Charlie Sheen will NOT be coming back to the show
-- Chuck Lorre has a plan for re-tooling the show, but no deals with replacement actors have been made. In fact, no offers have even been put on the table.
-- A decision on the fate of "Men" will be made before May 18.

The Hollywood Reporter says Lorre is thinking of beefing up Jon Cryer's role and bringing a new actor onboard to replace Sheen. H.R. is saying some of the candidates are Woody Harrelson, Jeremy Piven and Bob Saget.

One well-connected sources tells TMZ, "There really is a good chance the show won't come back."

The 10 Best and Worst Comic Book Princesses

Unless you've been actively avoiding every single media outlet on the face of the Earth -- and really, I wouldn't blame you if you have -- you're probably aware that this Friday, England's Prince William is getting married to Katherine Middleton. And that means that this weekend, there's going to be an all-new princess in the world.

But while the ascension to princesshood comes with wealth, status, and a public that'll obsess over you even in countries founded by people that literally fought wars because they were tired of royalty, it also puts you up against a pretty high standard set by the world of fiction. That's why today, ComicsAlliance is running down our picks for the Best Comic Book Princesses!

REVISED: Which ‘Classy’ NYC Housewife Is Actually Classy?

According to The Real Housewives of New York, there are two kinds of housewives: classy (whoever is speaking) and classless (everybody else). And yet for all of their labeling, the ladies' definition of "class" remains somewhat murky. Is it manners? Wealth? Stature among your peers? Countess LuAnn de Lesseps tried to codify the term in her 2009 bookClass with the Countess; the first chapter defines it as the “art of being yourself.” And yet, the cast constantly proclaims that they are always being true to themselves (or, in reality parlance, "keeping it real"), but it still leads to them all calling each other classless. So who is right? To find out, we sat down and analyzed each housewife's level of class, taking in all of the evidence for and against. Through this, we will be able to rank them all in descending order of classiness. Who will win? The classiness may surprise you.

It looks like Beyonce has a certified flop on her hands.

Her new single “Run the World (Girls)” crawls into the Hot 100 this week at No. 33. The ‘song’ shifted 77,000 copies, matching the first-week total of Christina Aguilera’s “Not Myself Tonight”, which debuted at No. 23.

In comparison, Britney Spears’ last lead single “Hold It Against Me” debuted No. 1 on iTunes in 19 countries and topped the Hot 100, breaking digital and radio records with the same amount of non-existent promo as Beyonce. Lady GaGa’s “Born this Way” followed suit, debuting at No.1 on iTunes in 22 countries, and selling 448,000 copies in just three days in the US alone. On the other hand, Beyonce has only topped iTunes in Sweden and Spain.

The only thing Beyonce has going for to escape the Christina Aguilera comparisons is that “Girls” only had four full days of sales, as opposed to Aguilera’s full week. But you can certainly see how little hype and excitement there is surrounding new Beyonce music when compared to the chart stats of Britney and Lady GaGa. Even Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R” managed to debut at No.1 on not just iTunes, but also the Hot 100.

“Girls” has since fallen to No. 30 on the iTunes chart, and remains as one of the lowest rated songs in the Top 100, with only half-a-star separating it from Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.

Robert Pattinson predicts challenges ahead for Kate Middleton

Robert Pattinson believes outside pressures will make life harder for Kate Middleton after she marries Prince William, and he has sympathy for her.

He tells Britain's Radio Times magazine, "It's going to be hard because people will lay responsibilities on her that seem totally irrelevant. You can't mess up, either. As an actor, you can kind of mess up, but not if you're a royal. I've always liked the members of the royal family who couldn't care less what anyone thinks: the ones who go, 'I'm royalty -- so shut up!' That's one of the coolest things about England, I think, that we still have this crazy old system in place. ... I'll definitely be watching the royal wedding. I mean, they're absolutely obsessed with it in America. It's insane ... but I guess it's kind of a big deal. Actually, I think it's really sort of fascinating."

Middleton will exchange vows with the prince in a lavish ceremony in London on Friday, marking her official induction into Britain's royal family.

doctor who writer wants some nobody to come back

Doctor Who executive producer Steven Moffat has revealed that he hopes John Barrowman's popular character Captain Jack Harkness will return to the sci-fi series.

The showrunner first introduced Captain Jack in the series one two-parter 'The Empty Child'/'The Doctor Dances' for a stint with the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and Rose (Billie Piper). The rogue Time Agent proved to be such a hit that Barrowman was eventually granted his own spinoff series, Torchwood.

In an interview with The Gothamist, Moffat responded to a questioner's suggestion that he has resisted using any characters that originated from former executive producer Russell T Davies's reign.

"There's no rule against that," the writer asserted. "People talk as if somewhere there's been some schism."

He added: "I mean, Jack, who I wrote in the show, I'd love to have him back. I was thinking he should really be here recently but he's busy [filming Torchwood: Miracle Day].

"And I mean there are references to Davies's characters - we just had a reference to Rose, in fact. In my head there is a continuing story. There's no idea that we're abandoning anything. There is an element that The Doctor moves on from people in a rather scary but inevitable way. He won't be nearby forever."

The sixth run of Doctor Who began last weekend with 'The Impossible Astronaut', which saw the Tardis crew being forced to keep a grave secret from The Doctor and the debut of a dangerous new foe.

Doctor Who returns with new episode 'Day of the Moon' this Saturday on BBC One in the UK and BBC America in the US, while Torchwood: Miracle Day premieres in July on BBC One in the UK and Starz in the US.

Amy Lee Talks Evanescence's Comeback LP

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
The key word for goth-pop outfit Evanescence's long-awaited comeback album, due this fall, is a bit unexpected. It's not "angsty" or "ominous" or "heavy."

"The record is fun — and that's a totally new thing for us," singer Amy Lee, 29, tells SPIN. "When I listen to our old music, I see that's where I was in my life at that time. This has been a long trip and parts have been hard. But it's about not taking everything so seriously this time."

Since starting out in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1995, the band has been defined by drama, both onstage and off. There was the messy departure of co-founding songwriter Ben Moody in 2003 and then the even messier firing of drummer Rocky Gray and guitarist John LeComp in 2007, leading to rumors that Lee was iron-fisted in her leadership of the band, which, by then, consisted almost entirely of newly-hired hands. In fact, more than 10 different musicians have played in Evanescence; Lee is the only constant.

Last spring, after a much-needed break following the release of their second album, 2006's five-million-selling The Open Door, Evanescence entered a New York City studio with production vet Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones) to record a collection of experimental, electro-leaning songs that Lee then told SPIN were influenced by Massive Attack and Portishead. Then the problems started… again.

Mob Wives confessions!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Stars of VH1's new hit show Mob Wives Carla Facciolo and Drita D' Avanzo exclusively open up to Life & Style about why they stayed or strayed from their alleged Mafia-figure husbands.

Drita, who chose to stay with her husband, Lee, after he was arrested for criminal activity, tells Life & Style, "I love Lee, and I'm there for him, even though I honestly have every right not to be."

Drita, who is a former model and mother of two girls, Aleeya, 9, and Gizelle, 3, has been forced to raise her daughters alone because her husband has been incarcerated twice. Drita claims she had no knowledge that her husband was a criminal. "I don't think people understand that a person who does a crime, they don't tell anybody they do a crime," she tells Life & Style. "And the last person they're going to tell is a woman they want to marry."

Unlike Drita, co-star Carla Facciolo decided to leave her man after his arrest.

"It wasn't a mutual decision at first,"
she reveals to Life & Style. "He felt I wasn't giving it enough of a chance." But Carla insists there were problems in her relationship before her husband, Joey Ferragamo, went behind bars.

"I'm not going to sit here all these years from something I feel is never going to work. That's why I decided to go my own way."

The pair have twins, a boy named Joseph and a girl named Carmen, and they're not divorced yet -- but Carla is free to date other people.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Alexis Mateo: “I Want to be President!”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
She may have lost out on the title of America’s next drag superstar, but Alexis Mateo has even bigger aspirations. “I want to become the first Hispanic, gay, drag queen President of the United States!” the bodacious brunette declared to In Touch at Logo’s RuPaul’s Drag Race New York City season finale party at club Providence on April 25.

If a presidential run doesn’t work out, the Puerto Rican diva, who placed third on this season of the hit series, has several backup plans. “I would love a dating show, with boys fighting for my love,” she adds. “I would also love to do a voice-over for a cartoon character.”

And although she lost out on the win to fashionista Raja, it seems like the sky is the limit for the lovely Alexis, who was all smiles as she partied with her fellow contestants and Kelly Osbourne at the farewell bash.

COD Black Ops Escalation “Call of the Dead” Featuring Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar etc.

Treyarch recently showed off what they’ve been working on with their new zombies portion of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Map Pack. The zombies mode in the game titled “Call of the Dead” will be taking alot of what Treyarch has built over the years and seems to be parlaying it into a bigger and more robust experience than ever before. This time around it seems that our favorite heroes of games past will be gone with Dempsey, Takeo, Richtofen, and Nicholai taking a back seat to a new cast of characters. Normally fans would be extremely upset about this type of drastic change to the wildly popular game mode in the worlds most popular game, but the newcomers are a cast of all-stars.

'Spartacus' casts its new Naevia

Slave leader Spartacus isn’t the only part on Starz’ cult hit that’s being recast for season two. Lesley-Ann Brandt, who played Lucretia’s “body slave” Naevia, left the show during its protracted hiatus.

But producers have now found an actress to take over the part, and heeeere she is …

EW has exclusively learned that Cynthia Addai-Robinson is the new Naevia, who you’ll recall fell in love with gladiator Crixus during season one.

Addai-Robinson was previously in ABC’s FlashForward and appeared in shows like CSI: NY and and Numbers. She’s repped by Pantheon Talent and Liebman Entertainment.

After Starz aired its successful Gods of the Arena prequel in January, and Spartacus season two is expected to return early next year along with newcomer Liam McIntyre replacing Andy Whitfield in the lead role. For more on what’s to come, check out this link.

According to a TOP music industry insider Lady Gaga and her label Interscope are launching a full scale ATTACK on the queen of pop. The insider explains, "Lady Gaga is happy with her status [as the number one worldwide artist] and she's not looking to be number two."

The insider claims that there has been a good amount of Bad Blood between the two ladies since an unspecified falling out the two had earlier this year. The insider adds, "Lady Gaga doesn't see Beyonce as an artist - she doesn't play instruments, she doesn't write her songs, [in Lady Gaga's eyes] Beyonce's just an empty shell."

So Lady Gaga's people are starting a CAMPAIGN . . . to expose Beyonce. The snitch added, "[Lady Gaga] would like fans to know that she's a real musician and Beyonce is a dancer that has a nice voice."

And yesterday the FIRST SHOT in the battle was FIRED. Lady Gaga's record label INTERSCOPE paid for a Twitter ad. Whenever someone searched for the word "Beyonce" they were taken to Interscope's ad. The ad told fans that Bey's new song Girls was really a REMAKE of the Major Lazer song Pon The Floor. But here's teh KICKER . . . Interscope doesn't WORK or have ANY financial interest in Major Lazer's product.

Tells the insider,"The only reason Interscope is advertising for a song that they DON'T OWN, is because they want to expose Beyonce."

And the war begins . . .

oh snap!

ZORRO REBORN Sends the Masked Swordman to a Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland

A large part of Zorro’s charm is his old-fashioned adventuring ways.  He’s a pulp hero who’s instantly recognizable for his mask, cape, and swordsmanship.  20th Century Fox would like to strip all that crap away and send him to the a post-apocalyptic wasteland.  24 Frames reports that the studio is in early development on Zorro Reborn.  This time around, Zorro “will be less a caped crusader for justice than a one-man vigilante force bent on revenge, in a western story that has echoes of both Sergio Leone and No Country for Old Men.” Good, because I haven’t seen a movie before where a one-man vigilante force roams the post-apocalyptic wasteland before.  Wait—sorry, I have actually seen that—many times.  But in all fairness, the vigilante wasn’t named Zorro.

Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, the screenwriters behind the Dracula re-imagining Harker wrote the script and pre-visualization specialist Rpin Suwannath (The Matrix) will make his directing debut on the flick. (For those who don’t know, pre-viz  is way of creating motion storyboards that can better illustrated the flow of a scene) Hit the jump for more of my thoughts on Zorro Reborn.

As tempting as it is to write this off completely, I have to applaud Fox for taking on a story that sounds slightly bonkers.  And it could work.  I’m not exactly sure how you keep Zorro as Zorro when you take away his distinctive elements, but perhaps Shipman and McGreevy have found a way to make it work.

However, 24 Frames says that the project is a “dark reinvention”, which I really don’t need out of a Zorro film.  I don’t need a gritty, tortured Zorro.  It’s Zorro.  Is it such a crime for the character to be light and fun?

Dammit, now I just want to go and watch Martin Campbell’s excellent The Mask of Zorro.

Armie Hammer in Talks to Join Johnny Depp in THE LONE RANGER

Merely a week ago, it was reported that Ryan Gosling was working on trying to fit Disney’s The Lone Ranger into his schedule, with the actor eyeing the title role opposite Johnny Depp’s Tonto. After quickly ending the talks, with Gosling unable to work the film around his schedule, we now have another actor in the running for the role: The Social Network’s Armie Hammer.

Deadline reports that Hammer is in early talks to join the project, with Gore Verbinski (the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films) at the helm. The story will supposedly focus on Depp’s Tonto, using him as an “unreliable narrator.” While the prospect of Gosling and Depp bantering in a fun adventure flick was enticing, Hammer seems to be a great choice as well. His fantastic work in The Social Network garnered him enough attention to secure a starring role in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, which is currently filming, and the actor is also attached to Tarsem Singh’s Snow White flick.

Meredith Vieira leaving 'Today'

According to a Hollywood Reporter report, Today co-host Meredith Vieira is leaving the morning talk show in June, almost three months before her contract expires. (NBC is not commenting on the report; Vieira’s reps have not returned EW’s requests for comment. THR reports that an official announcement will come “as early as next week.”) Vieira replaced Katie Couric as Today host back in 2006, and helped the show continue its reign as TV’s top-rated morning program. (This news comes the same week that Couric announced she would be stepping down from CBS Evening News, the gig she left Today for.) A departure, however, is not entirely unexpected — Vieira was rumored to be considering a leave earlier this month.

As for Vieira’s reported replacement? Current Today newsreader Ann Curry, with correspondent Natalie Morales filling Curry’s current shoes. THR reports that Vieira, who still hosts Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, is leaving Today for largely personal reasons. (Her husband, Richard Cohen, suffers from multiple sclerosis.)

Dreamworks Movie Artist Charged in Fatal Dog Beating

A visual effects artist who worked on several Dreamworks films like "Shrek" faces more than 4 years in prison -- after he was accused of beating his neighbor's puppy to death ... with a hammer.

According to law enforcement, Young Song -- who also worked on films like "Kung Fu Panda," "Shark Tale," and "Madagascar 2" -- allegedly entered his neighbor's backyard last week ... and shot their 16-month-old German shepherd with a pellet gun, before beating it to death with a hammer.

According to the puppy's owner the act was caught on surveillance video.

Song pled "not guilty" today to one felony count of cruelty to an animal, and one count of misdemeanor petty theft of a dog ... after he allegedly dragged the mutilated corpse from his neighbor's yard.

Song was arrested yesterday and bail was set at $40,000.
He is still in custody. His next court date is May 26. Song's lawyer Nicholas Okorocha had no comment.

Fassbender revealed that he decided not to use McKellen's performance as a basis for his own.

Blake Lively's Red Hair: Here's The Inside Scoop From Her Colorist, Rona O'Connor

Yesterday, you guys couldn't stop talking about Blake Lively's new red hair color, so I just had to hop on the phone with her colorist, Rona O'Connor, to get all the delicious details.

Rona has been coloring Blake's hair since she started "Gossip Girl", giving her that signature "New York blond", as the two refer to it. So when Blake decided to go red for her role in the movie "Hick", it was an exciting proposition. "A lot of thought went into it, because she definitely wanted to go back blond afterward," explains Rona, who gave Blake the red hair three weeks ago: "It's so cool that she was able to keep it under wraps for three weeks. She was able to walk around without being recognized, for once. In fact, she had people stop and compliment her hair color and still not know who she was!"

The plan was to layer multiple reddish tones in a way that would allow the new color to fade out within a few weeks; periodic touch-ups are keeping it fresh for filming. "Blake had a vision in her mind of the red she liked, and it was a red I knew we could do," says Rona, who after doing 10 test strands painted on six different permanent dyes, including gold, strawberry, apricot, ruby, and orangey copper. To bring Blake back to blond, she'll first let those red tones fade and then go in and layer blond back in through painting and highlighting. The key is to minimize damage, since Blake's hair is so long and undergoes a lot of heat-styling stress on set.

It took Rona until 2 a.m. to complete Blake's new red haircolor, at which point she says the actress literally lifted her into the air in a big hug. "She loves it. She gets to wear something new and different and she can feel comfortable in her role in the movie and not have to deal with having to wear a wig," says Rona. Before Blake goes back to blond, expect to see her red hair at the upcoming Met Ball. Can't wait!

Thanks for sharing all of these details, Rona--so much fun! I just love the idea of going temporarily red but having an exit strategy. I'm rather jealous, in fact.

Now that we know Blake's red hair is temporary and for a movie role, how are you all feeling about it? I know the majority of you are pretty attached to her usual blond, but isn't this whole temporarily-red thing kind of thrilling?

Armie Hammer & Timothy Olyphant Rumored for Lone Ranger Role

It seems Ryan Gosling’s name is off the table for the man who will dawn the mask and say the words “heyo Silver!” in Gore Verbinski’s adaptation of the classic series the Lone Ranger from Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer. Two fabulous new names have cropped up in Gosling’s place with Armie Hammer and Timothy Olyphant now rumored for the lead role in the film.

The only casting that remains true is Johnny Depp’s casting as Tonto, the sharp witted Indian guide that assists the Lone Ranger in his work. His trade mark line is “Kemo Sabe,” as it is what he called the Lone Ranger.

Gore Verbinski is directing Lone Ranger from a screenplay by Justin Haythe. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce. No production schedule was given for Lone Ranger.

Here Is Alex Pettyfer’s ‘Thank You’ Crotch Tattoo

This morning we heard that "psycho loose cannon" actor Alex Pettyfer has "Thank You" tattooed above his penis, "in case I forget to say it." Now V Man, the magazine that quoted Pettyfer on that, has kindly provided photographic evidence of said crotch tattoo. Unfortunately, since the web versions of their photos are kind of small. I feel like I'm squinting at a too-small line of text at the opthamologist's office.

Not that they'd run a photo of a tattoo that said anything other than "Thank You" right next to an article that quotes it that way.

Anyway, V Man's cover labels Pettyfer "Hollywood's Next Bad Boy." Even though his pubic region is so polite! Poor Alex Pettyfer, the media is so cruel to him.

James Franco Tackles Dance Theater

It has come to our attention that James Franco is going to be making his dance-theater directorial debut right here in New York next month. The producer of the show, John Morrow, tells us the multi-media piece—which Franco will be narrating live at every performance—is called "Collage," and features live dance, theater, music, and poetry. Since many of Franco's more off-beat projects can be confusing and mysterious until experienced first-hand, some others involved with the show have taken a few moments to further explain what you can expect. Below, they offer up these puzzle pieces:

"'Collage' is a mixed-media piece that uses sound and visuals to play with the idea of how different art mediums interact. Using video, dance, poetry, theatre and music, we have created a performance that will be an engaging experience for the audience."—John Morrow, producer

"The piece is so exhilarating because there are no boundaries to what we can create and play with."—Nina Ljeti, actress

"Ignoring conventional narrative storytelling, it's been an interesting process to re-contextualize my own work in conversation with the other separate mediums. The overall piece has been a continuous exploration of how using disparate elements can create a cohesive idea."—Chloe Kernaghan, choreographer

Performances are being held May 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 at 11 p.m., and there will be an additional one on the 14th at half past the witching hour. These will all take place at Stella Adler studios, located at 31 West 27th Street. They are FREE, and seating is on a first come, first seated basis.

Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, and Lenny Kravitz to Be Offered Roles in The Hunger Games

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The paranoia and secrecy surrounding The Hunger Games at Lionsgate Films have reached a level befitting the totalitarian state of Panem: We’re told that not only are Hollywood agents being forced to sign nondisclosure agreements in order to receive offers for clients, but that even their assistants are being forced to sign NDAs, too. Nonetheless, Vulture has been able to glean that a passel of offers have gone out to talent, most notably to Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz. We’re told that Harrelson’s offer is to play the role of the Head Gamemaker, Seneca Crane, of the 74th Hunger Games.

Also said to be receiving Hunger Games offers: Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz, though exactly which roles they’ve been offered is, for now, still unclear. One can imagine that after starring as the aesthetically obsessed art director Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada, Tucci would make for an excellent Cinna; then again, he’s so imperious, Tucci could be a great President Snow, too. And as to Kravitz’s involvement, we’re at a loss, but we’ll keep you posted.

Smallville: Will Oliver and Chloe's Marriage Last?

It's no secret that Chloe and Oliver's marriage on Smallville is an anomaly.

Firstly, Chloe (Allison Mack) didn't actually exist in the previous Superman mythology before being created specifically for the once WB, now CW series. Secondly, Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) married Dinah Lance aka the Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) in the comic mythos. While the fans do love Chlollie, the question remains: Will their marriage survive the series finale of Smallville?

Hartley, who directs this Friday's new episode, dishes on what's in store for the Chloe-Oliver-Dinah debacle, as well as Zod's return and the ominous Omega symbol on the Green Arrow's skull.

Teen Mom Trash?

Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans can be described as a little work shy at best.

But the 19-year-old was made to pull her weight as she began her court-ordered community service in Oak Island, North Carolina, yesterday.

The mother-of-one, who wore a reflective orange workman's vest and gloves, was pictured looking rather surly as she picked up rubbish in a park in her home town.

The reality TV star has to perform 24 hours of community service commitments after pleading guilty plea to a misdemeanor drug charge earlier this month.

Breakout Kings episode preview: 1x09 "One For the Money"

When a handsome, rich, and cunning jewel thief, Andre, escapes from prison leaving and leaves the guards STH (scratching their heads), you know what that means. It means the hunt is ON. Just when he makes the biggest score of his career, it'll be up to the Breakout Kings to even the score. But can they stop him before it's too late?

Elsewhere on the new series, Shea and Erica plead with Ray to permit them to have conjugal visits. Check out A&E's promo for "One For the Money" below ...

Erica is the queen of this show obv, also they need to take away at least half of Lloyd's screentime and give it to Shea tbh.

Karl Lagerfeld's Boytoy in Chocolate Format

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld doesn't go anywhere without his traveling companion and muse Baptiste Giabiconi. Now he's reserved a very interesting honor for the comely young man: Uncle Karl has sculpted the boy in chocolate. Remember Karl, it melts in your mouth, not in your hand. We wonder what it's filled with when you bite into it!

The work debuted today in Paris, where Karl is hoping to promote ice cream brand Magnum by unveiling his sweet, sweet sculpture of Baptiste, who also stars in the commercials Lagerfeld directed for the brand. Naturally, if you're going to make a chocolate sculpture of the man you want to be your lover, he's not going to be wearing anything but a tiny pair of white briefs. White, Karl? Isn't that going to make a mess?

'My father liked being called gay,' admits Cary Grant's daughter in new memoir

Cary Grant's daughter has penned a memoir about the famous actor, admitting he liked it when people called him gay.

The British screen icon, who was married five times, was often dogged by rumours that he was bisexual.

But his daughter Jennifer Grant, 45, says the Hot Saturday star actually liked the mystique surrounding his sexuality because it 'made women want to prove the assertion wrong'.

In the memoir, Good Stuff: A Reminiscence of My Father, Cary Grant, Jennifer writes: '[You] Can't blame men for wanting him, and wouldn't be surprised if Dad even mildly flirted back.

'When the question arises, it generally speaks more about the person asking.'

But she adds: 'Dad somewhat enjoyed being called gay. He said it made women want to prove the assertion wrong.'

Grant was notoriously private about his personal life.
