Neon Hitch drops new track “Silly Girl”

“Silly Girl” was produced by the dynamic team of Benny Blanco (Ke$ha, Britney) and Switch (Santigold, Beyonce’s “Girls”). It’s a big melting pop of different styles, fusing together dancehall, hip-hop, dubstep, and electronica for an underground club beat. Neon’s voice is drenched in autotune as she dishes out swaggariffic statements about getting crunk and stealing your man: “Coz I’m feelin’ like a Ouija board / move my body back ‘n’ forth / I know she can’t get you this low, low, low, low.”
Check it out below.

Neon Hitch is her real name btw.

Hayden Panettiere talks about her misspelled tattoo

Actress Hayden Panettiere has warned tattoo fans to beware of getting a tattoo in a foreign language - after discovering her Italian ink is spelled incorrectly.

The "Heroes" star got the phrase "live without regrets" inked on her back, in Italian, to remind herself that everyone deals with disappointment and rejection.

However, the blonde actress was shocked to learn the tattoo artist had made a small yet permanent error.

During an appearance on "The View" on Monday, she says, "Here's the thing, if you're going to get a tattoo in a language, just don't ever go to that country. Or a country where anyone speaks that language...

"It's not like, 'Oh I wanted (this) and now it says, 'I love apples'. It's 'live without regrets' but it has one extra 'i' and it's so minor that people who spoke fluent Italian are like, 'Egh, that looks right.' And of course I'm reading in a newspaper that it's wrong..."

But Panettiere has accepted the minor mistake as a lesson learned.

She adds, "So you know what, I'm left to live up to what it means. I'm proud of it!"

Actress Olivia Munn curses Las Vegas clubgoers before yelling 'I'm rich'

AN ACTRESS and one-time saucy TV correspondent ranted and swore at clubgoers before telling them: "I'm rich".

Olivia Munn, who played Chess Roberts in Iron Man 2 and became known on TV's Attack of the Show, had been partying with Ultimate Fighting Championship founder Dana White and supermodel Selita Ebanks in a VIP section at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The women, clad in similar red dresses, spent most of the evening "dancing and laughing," with Munn "taking pictures with (what seemed like) every person and having the best time," a source told New York Daily News.
When Munn, who is filming comedy I Don't Know How She Does It with Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Christina Hendricks and Kelsey Grammer, made her exit from the club things turned ugly.

The 31-year-old Munn approached a group of "about four others, both men and women," whom she had been seen with throughout the evening.

Despite her previously sweet demeanor, Munn "started yelling and swearing," and apparently didn't care who heard.

"You can go f*@# yourselves!" she told the group, adding that her "career will go on," but the group she was addressing was "going to have to kiss people's asses for the rest of (their) lives!"

The source told the New York Daily News that initially the group tried to calm the belligerent actress. But efforts to quiet the actress' outburst fell flat.
Her ranting continued with "I'm rich!" She added "I come from a well-off family," before storming off.

The series, starring Jeremy Irons, debuted to strong ratings earlier this month.

Showtime has ordered a second season of The Borgias, Showtime entertainment president David Nevins announced Monday.

The series, which debuted earlier this month, delivered the best ratings for a new Showtime drama series in seven years and attracted 3.71 million viewers across multiple platforms (On Demand, replays and DVR) during its premiere week.
Season-to-date, The Borgias is pacing ahead of The Tudors' fourth season, the series' highest-rated season.
Ten new episodes of The Borgias -- which stars Jeremy Irons as Rodrigo Borgia, the manipulative patriarch of the Borgia family -- will go into production this summer to air in 2012.
"The Borgias has become Sunday night appointment viewing for a broad swath of our subscribers," Nevins said in a statement. "Neil Jordan's cleverly crafted tale of a 15th century papal family has proven quickly addictive.  It's a tribute to his incredible skills as an auteur and to the extraordinary cast led by Jeremy Irons that this show fits so seamlessly into our line-up of quality shows."

International Trailer for 'What's Your Number?' Starring Anna Faris & Chris Evans

Also, keep an eye out for Zachary Quinto, Chris Pratt, Andy Samberg, Joel McHale, Martin Freeman, Anthony Mackie, and Thomas Lennon.

A little underwhelmed by the trailer, but Anna Faris is a comedic goddess and I have faith that this will be hilarious.

One Size Fits Nobody: Seeking a Steady 4 or a 10

In one store, you’re a Size 4, in another a Size 8, and in another a Size 10 — all without gaining an ounce.

So, baffled women carry armfuls of the same garment in different sizes into the dressing room. They order several sizes of the same shirt online, just to get the right fit.

Now, a handful of companies are tackling the problem of sizes that are unreliable. Some are pushing more informative labels. Some are designing multiple versions of a garment to fit different body shapes. And one is offering full-body scans at shopping malls, telling a shopper what sizes she should try among the various brands.

Nicole Kidman Used to Hate Being Tall

Nicole Kidman has revealed that she "hated being so tall" when she was a girl.

The 43-year-old Australian actress, who is married to singer Keith Urban, said that she felt insecure about having "weird" red hair and being skinny when she was younger.

Kidman told The Sun: "I wish I had known I would become more confident about my looks. I used to confide in my mom Janelle, who was tall too - 5ft 10in. She used to tell me that men liked tall women. I would say: 'I am not interested in men - I am interested in boys.'

"I didn't know whether I could become an actress because I was so tall and gangly. I wish I could have known, at the time, that it was character building."

Kidman, who has described her teenage years as "boring", said that her mom still urges her to "put on weight" because she is "too skinny".

She added: "I eat food all the time. They send me fruit on film sets but I prefer croissants. That has always been my thing. I am told that Guinness is very good for you - and good for the curves!"

Kidman recently revealed that she has a "beautiful" relationship with Urban, while he has said that they live a very "normal" life together.

Fast forward: Why a movie about car thieves is the most progressive force in American cinema

Right now, anyone who watches a lot of television, or listens to pop music, is familiar with a certain vision of America. If not exactly colorblind, this America is one in which different races easily interact, in which a white person might have an Asian boss, Hispanic stepson, or African-American frenemy. On TV, Khloé Kardashian, the part-Armenian mega-celebrity, has a new reality series about her marriage to the Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom, who is black. In the music world, no one has time to notice that the Black Eyed Peas are ambiguously, strategically cross-racial because it’s much more important to debate whether their infectiousness is awful.

Then there’s a different America: the one in the movies. Of the 30 highest grossing films from last year, only two featured major nonwhite characters. One of them—“The Karate Kid”—was set in China. The other, “Grown Ups,” had a couple of scenes for Chris Rock (black) and Rob Schneider (part Filipino). The year before, only six of the top 30 had mixed casts—and two of those (“Avatar,” “District 9”) featured races that were computer-generated effects. The dismay over the overwhelming predominance of whiteness at the movies is almost as old as the movies themselves, but the divergence from normal American experience seems to be, if anything, getting worse.

Fast Five currently has a 81% "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes! And it's a nice counter-argument to racist (and misogynistic) studios white washing even ethnically-established source material like "Akira" (while trying to capitalize off the familiarity of that culture) because they cite crap excuses like only white males can carry movies.

Michael Jackson's mom talks about motherhood, family

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Katherine Jackson doesn't celebrate Mother's Day or birthdays for religious reasons.

But Michael Jackson's mother, who turns 81 next Wednesday, does believe in the tradition of sending flowers to someone you care about.

"It means love, 'I was thinking about you today, so I'm sending you these flowers,'" Jackson said. "Sometimes when you might be feeling down and you get some flowers, it perks you up."

Jackson, who rarely gives interviews, spoke to CNN about the Katherine Jackson Flower Collection, which launches Tuesday on SendHerFlowers.com, just in time for Mother's Day.

"Flowers make me feel happy," she said.

While Jackson was eager to talk about flowers -- her favorites are red and yellow roses -- she was reluctant to speak on the record about what has made her feel sad lately. . . .

Run the World (Squirrels) 1984 Remix

The talented folks behind rising production team 1984 have been clever enough to turn Beyonce’s latest flop “Run the World (Girls)” into something that is actually listenable — by having squirrels sing in the place of Bey. "Run the World (Squirrels)” has more interesting and engaging lyrics than any of the drivel Bey has ever pretended to have written, and the squirrel’s breathtaking vocal delivery and stunning harmonies showcase more emotional range than Beyondroid on her best day. And it goes without saying that the squirrels slideshow music video is already guaranteed to trump Beyonce’s Francis Lawrence directed melodrama. One look at iTunes shows “Run the World” plummeting down iTunes faster than “Not Myself Tonight” and “Judas” put together, but perhaps this amazing squirrel remix will help turn things around for Bey’s Major Lazer massacre.         source 1, 2

Doctor Who breaks BBC America records after 1.3 million tune in

The premiere of the sixth season of the show – which features Matt Smith, who plays the titular Time Lord, and Karen Gillan as his assistant – beat previous BBC America ratings records for the first episode of the fifth series last year.

Stuart Milligan and Mark Sheppard guest starred in the two-part episode, entitled The Impossible Astronaut, which was partly filmed in America.

But the high US ratings were not reflected in the UK, as 6.5 million watched the BBC1 sci-fi drama, down by 17 per cent compared to the first episode of series five.

The episode features The Silence, one of the show's deadliest-ever enemies, according to the Time Lord.

He said: 'I think they're very scary. With anything in 'Doctor Who' it tends to be the sum of its parts, on this one I think the idea behind them is particularly clever and they're realised very well, so physically they're brilliant. Hats off to all the design team and the production team for making it happen.'

Gwyneth Paltrow talks mean grandmother on 'Chelsea Lately,' drops the c-bomb

Chelsea Handler and Gwyneth Paltrow could pass for sisters. They’re both attractive blonds. They’re both half-German. They both had grandmothers they called Mutti. And they both threw their grandmothers under the bus last night. Handler explained that her Mutti “was a real b—-,” but Paltrow raised the stakes, saying “My Mutti was a real c—.”

Nice. Paltrow explained that her Mutti “tried to poison my mother against me, but it didn’t work because I have a great mother … She must not have been very happy and she must have had a lot of pain because she was mean as hell.”

After Handler joked that people should retire Mutti — the German word for mother — Paltrow added that her own “hot” mom, Blythe Danner, goes by Lalo around the grandchildren. And this was only after she tried to inflict Woof on them.

Lady Gaga Talks "Judas" Music Video

Lady Gaga revealed some new details about her music video for “Judas,” which is scheduled to premiere on American Idol next week. The singer told MSN Canada that the video, co-directed by Gaga and Laurieann Gibsion, is a metaphor about forgiveness and it “puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.”

"I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem. And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.”

50 years of people screaming the same when they die or fall over

The Wilhelm Scream

Every movie blogger is obligated to devote a post to The Wilhelm Scream AT LEAST once in their lives. And they’re all pretty much the same: A quote from wikipedia, the compilation video on YouTube, and the latest movie they found it in. This post is a little different. Starting last year I started collecting Wilhelm Screams, planning on making a video showing some favorites. That project spiraled out of control, and the result is a (pretty) complete collection.

A Little History

Chances are you’ve heard The Wilhelm Scream many, many times in your life. The Wilhelm Scream is a popular stock scream used in countless films, tv shows, and video games. It was recorded in 1951 for Distant Drums, but found it’s infamy when sound magician Ben Burtt snuck it into the films he was working on, especially Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Note: There are different takes of the Wilhelm Scream from the original recording. The most popular version is take 4, but you will hear other versions as well.
So, how many can you name? There is a contest going at the source website, if you want to join.

Town in danger of flooding hopes Twihards will help save them. No, really.

A Native American tribe in Washington state wants to move its village to higher ground, citing concerns over a possible tsunami from earthquakes around the Pacific Ocean.

But it takes an act of Congress to expand a reservation. So the Quileute tribe is hoping to get the word out — in part by relying on its newfound popularity as a tourist site for fans of the Twilight series of books and movies. In those stories, the Quileute lands are teeming with werewolves.

The Quileute Indian Reservation is all of one square mile. On three sides, it's surrounded by the lush rainforest of Olympic National Park; on the fourth side, it's bounded by the Pacific Ocean.

Well, tourist money is as good as any, but I would think they'd object more strongly to the moderately cringey, Magical Native American way in which they're portrayed in the books. But hey. You can hear the story/interview at the source.

Will.I.Am’s Pet Peeves: Women With Condoms & No Wet Wipes

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
If you walked into a woman’s house, what one item would convince you that you weren’t compatible?
If she had condoms in her house, that would just f–kin’ throw me off. That’s just tacky.

Well, okay, I could see if she had a candy bowl full of them on the coffee table. But if she’s got a few in a drawer, wouldn’t that simply suggest she’s health-conscious?
I just think, like, if you’re into someone and you guys get to that level, then that’s something you should converse about together and say, “Hey, maybe we should get some.” Another pet peeve is wet sinks.

Wet sinks?
Yeah, like a wet sink. You don’t wipe the sink after you use it? Dry it off! And if she’s got only dry toilet paper and no baby wipes next to the toilet. You ain’t got no baby wipes?

I’ve heard about this particular deal breaker before. Why is that a big deal to you?
Here’s proof on why people should have baby wipes. Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You’re going to get chocolate in the cracks. That’s why you gotta get them baby wipes.

Michael Douglas: Catherine Zeta-Jones' Bipolar II Was 'Outed' During Treatment

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Michael Douglas says wife Catherine Zeta-Jones went public with her bipolar II disorder after she was "outed."

"I must say, Catherine's being quite open about it because she was outed, you know," the 66-year-old actor said in a candid interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which airs today. "She went to go get some help and some other patient probably in there said, 'Hey, you won't believe who's in here now.' And, so, once that happens, I think she felt best to kind of get out the story."

The big screen veteran confessed that he and his family have weathered a great deal in the last year.

"My oldest son is in federal prison, my ex-wife is suing me, and I got cancer. It's kind of hard for the wife to say, 'I'm depressed,'" Michael told Oprah.

Diplo on Pre-Digital Dancehall

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

In 2007, legendary Jamaican label Greensleeves released a two-disc telling of their history, guiding listeners from “Wa Do Dem” through “Twice My Age” to “Oh Carolina.” This winter, Greensleeves solicited Diplo to select from their vast catalog. From a glut of releases he made a fifteen song mix of the tracks he, “loved growing up, learning more and more about reggae music and culture.” Released by Queens-based/Caribbean-focused VP Records, Riddimentary is a streamlined investigation of transformations in reggae during the early-to-mid eighties. It’s rich terrain for the never-scared, Soundcloud-surfing Diplo, who likens Jamaica at that time to “the wild wild west.” Vocal styles were changing, digital drums and synths taking over, “culture, music and technology all furiously moving forward.” Over email, I asked Diplo about the Greensleeves record, who’s sustaining reggae’s power and populism now and what he’s been working on and has coming up.

Goulding recently completed her first US tour in support of the American release of her debut album Lights.

She previously admitted that, while she would love to find the same success in the country as she has back home in the UK, she wants to do it naturally and without help from her record label.

The 24-year-old also described 2010 as the hardest year of her life, as her hectic schedule left her feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

When HBO sent out its Emmy box to TV academy members a few weeks ago, DVDs of "Game of Thrones" weren't included inside because the new fantasy series hadn't yet debuted on the tube. Therefore, some confusion reigns over its kudos plans.

HBO confirms that only two "Game of Thrones" stars will compete in the lead Emmy acting races: Sean Bean and Lena Headey. Competing in supporting: actors Mark Addy, Peter Dinklage, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, Aiden Gillen, Kit Harington and Jason Momoa and actresses Emilia Clarke and Michelle Fairley.

Our message-board commenters are divided over the series' Emmy hopes. After the second episode of "Game of Thrones" aired, a commenter named "Brilliance Immorbid" said it "was pretty much a perfect hybrid of geek pleasing and 'regular' people comprehension. It was thoroughly entertaining. I'm not sure if it'll ever be Emmy-worthy. A lot of it still comes off like a better acted version of 'Xena' and 'Legend of the Seeker.' If it manages to become less overwrought but still keep the intensity, it can eventually get there." Read more views here.

Budweiser 'Coming Home' Video: Gay Military Theme?

Budweiser released a new military-themed ad on Tuesday, and some are speculating that it is aimed at the gay community.

The ad, which is viewer-restricted on YouTube, shows a soldier calling a man and saying, "it's me. I'm coming home." It then shows a split screen, with the soldier getting ready to go home and the man preparing a party for him. At the end of the ad, the man is at the front of a group of people welcoming the soldier home, and the two hug.

All of this got the site After Elton wondering if Budweiser had essentially crafted the first-ever post-Don't Ask Don't Tell gay military ad. "Is the commercially (sic) intentionally gay or not?" the site mused. "Well, only Budweiser knows for sure, but if you substituted a woman for PB, it would read pretty much exactly like a heterosexual relationship."

The Ultimate Wedding Movie Mashup

You may not have heard anything at all whatsoever about this, but there's kind of a big wedding taking place on Friday.

But seriously, Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal event promises to be the stuff of fairy tales, so we figured why not take a look back at the dreamiest matrimonial moments in movies -- from "Gone With the Wind" to "Princess Bride" to "Mamma Mia!" -- pieced together in one beautiful, ceremonial video.

(And besides, two of our own are getting married this year, which, you know, is almost as important…)

CW Renews Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and 90210

The CW has extended early pickups to The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural and America's Next Top Model.

No word on the future of bubble shows Nikita, One Tree Hill and Hellcats.

Regarding OTH, CW execs are no doubt waiting to see if lone season 9 holdout James Lafferty agrees to return next season in some capacity, as they hope he will.

Top Model, meanwhile, returns in the fall with its first-ever All-Star Edition, featuring breakout characters from past cycles.

Supernatural got it's own post, but this lists the others that were renewed.

Jay Park - Abandoned

Jay Park is back with a new single “Abandoned” and his first mini-album Take a Deeper Look. The former leader of boy band 2PM has been away from the K-Pop scene for almost two years now, working in America on his first feature film Hype Nation 3D, performing with his popular US dance crew, and collaborating with the likes of B.o.B. and Snoop Dogg. He’s now returned to K-Pop, today dropping the official music video for his single “Abandoned”.

The video is light on plot, but heavy on choreography. Park shows off all his best moves in he clip, which has a heavy 90′s sheen to match the throwback R&B sound of the single. It’s very Chris Brown mixed in with old-school Usher, with some Korean swag on top.

I’ve already played Jay Park’s Take a Deeper Look album through several times, and I have to say that it’s pretty good. It’s all Top Forty sounding American R&B/Hip-Hop with a splash of dance, but it really excels for what it is and gives you everything you’d want from the mainstream American urban genre. And “Abandoned” isn’t even close to the best song on the album.

Rider Strong Debuts New Film "Dungeon Master"

One of the top teen heartthrobs of the '90's is riding a secret geekiness to what he hopes will be a second act in Hollywood.

Rider Strong, best known as Shawn Hunter from the long-running teen comedy "Boy Meets World," has worked over the past decade to broaden his resume, taking on small films and guest roles in numerous television shows. But it's behind the camera, teamed with his older brother Shiloh -- another 90's actor -- that the hands-through-his-hair teen dream truly thinks he can find his new niche. He's on his way, as the Strong brothers brought their new comedy short, "Dungeon Master," to the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend.

sexiest male artist ever will release new album soon

Blake Shelton will release a new album on July 12 on Warner Bros. Nashville.

The project, which has not yet been titled, will include Shelton's current single, "Honey Bee." Scott Hendricks produced the album. In 2010, Shelton released two Six Pak albums (with six tracks each) as well as a greatest hits compilation, Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton. In related news, he will begin his role as a coach on NBC's The Voice on Tuesday (April 26) along with Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. "There are so many things I'm excited to share with everyone this year," Shelton said. "I can't wait for people to hear the record. I have found some of the best songs of my career. I also think people will be surprised at all the talent they will see on The Voice. There were so many great vocalists who just blew me away, and it has been the coolest thing to be part of it all."

Eva Mendes: 'Marriage isn't necessary'

Eva Mendes has revealed that she doesn't think marriage is "necessary".

The actress, who has dated Peruvian filmmaker George Augusto for nearly ten years, said that she just sees the ceremony as an outdated "tradition".

She told Hollywood Life: "I just don't think marriage is necessary, as necessary as society makes it.

"And I don't have a negative point of view on it. I just think it's a very old tradition and if you look back to what marriage symbolises in the first place... it has nothing to do with why we get married today."

The 37-year-old has spoken of her thoughts on marriage previously.

She said: "I don't know if I want children, but the idea of marriage sounds very boring to me. I have to be honest."

Mendes also admitted that part of the reason she does not want to marry is because she likes to rebel.

Hunger Games casting news - District 3 tributes!

They may go unnamed in Suzanne Collins' dystopian thriller, but now you can put faces (and names!) to the actors portraying District 3's tributes: Meet Ian Nelson and Kalia Prescott!

The duo will represent Panem's electronics-producing region (a background that comes in handy for the male tribute during the Games). As you can guess, since neither tribute is named, these two don't play a huge part in the frenzied fight, but as I've alluded, you'll want to keep your eye on Ian's character, for sure.

As is the case with many of the tributes thus far in "The Hunger Games," Ian and Kalia are green in the Hollywood scene. In fact, the majority of Kalia's screen credits are as a stunt girl (very fitting for this particular production, no?). According to her resume, Kalia also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. (We certainly wouldn't want to face her in the Arena!)

Ian and Kalia join already-cast tributes Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi (District 11), Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid (District 1) and, of course, District 12 tributes Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.

Supernatural renewed for a seventh season!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Some good news coming out of The CW for Supernatural today: Supernatural has been renewed for a seventh season. While a seventh season seemed like a forgone conclusion after many years where the fate of Supernatural was left up in the air, fans were anxiously waiting for this news to finally be confirmed.

A lot of factors likely went into ensuring Supernatural another spot on the schedule next year. One is the ending of Smallville, which is another show that appeared on the original WB network along with Supernatural. The ending of Smallville means that the network is losing one of its three supernatural-based shows (with The Vampire Diaries being the third). Losing a staple like Smallville - which isn't bad considering it's just ending its tenth season - could have made the network happy to hang on to another long-running show. Especially considering Supernatural has consistently performed well in the ratings. This year marked the move of Supernatural to Friday nights (to once again be paired with Smallville, which had been on Friday nights since the Fall of 2009), but the change didn't really impact Supernatural's ratings. It's holding steady in all of The CW's key demos and has had consistently steady ratings for the network.

Hayden Panettiere in no Rush to Marry

Hayden Panettiere’s heavyweight-class boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko may take charge in the boxing ring, but won’t be putting a ring on Hayden’s finger anytime soon.

In Touch caught up with Hayden at the premiere of Klitschko – Inside the Ropes, a documentary about her boyfriend and his brother Vitali Klitschko. The Klitschko brothers are both world-class fighters who hold doctoral degrees from a top Ukrainian university. The Scream 4 star explained that marriage is “a bridge [that] should be crossed when you’re ready to cross it. If you see marriage as a necessity you should do it, but I don’t right now.” She also adds, “I just try to live life day-by-day and not over-think things like that.”

The 21-year-old starlet may have a case of cold feet, but that didn’t stop her from gushing over her 35-year-old beau. She added, “He’s very clever and boxers tend to develop a very not-so-clever name for themselves” and that her man has “an incredibility interesting and entertaining life.”

Let’s hope Wladimir doesn’t lose the fight for the top spot in Hayden’s heart!

Poster and Trailer for The Devil's Double Starring Dominic Cooper

Lionsgate has released a trailer and a poster for Lee Tamahori’s upcoming action-drama The Devil’s Double.  The film stars Dominic Cooper in the dual roles of Saddam Hussein’s sadistic son Uday and Uday’s body-double Latif Yahia.  The film played at Sundance and speaking to people who saw it, the general consensus seemed to be that it’s fun and excessive in a Scarface kind of way.  Steve caught the film and thought it was great, saying “if you’re a fan of gangster films, excessive violence, and a crazy story that’s never been told on screen, I definitely recommend The Devil’s Double.” I’m looking forward to seeing it when it hits theaters this summer.

Men who had it all and blew it

Can there be anything better than the sense of achieving a dream? And having achieved a dream, can there be anything worse than blowing it and falling back to earth with an audible thud?

Here are 10 men who seemed to have it all, whether that meant oodles of cash, beautiful women, unimaginable power or a brilliant career. And then, erm, didn't.

Welcome to our run down of the men who blew it... big time.

OJ Simpson

OJ Simpson was a record-breaking American footballer and a star of the big screen. Money, looks, fame and women: here was a man who truly had it all.

And when he was found not guilty of murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman some observers thought he had luck on his side too. Though Simpson was no longer America's golden boy, at least he wasn't serving life in a federal prison.

And then he really blew it. In 2008, he was found guilty of, among other offences, kidnapping, assault, robbery and using a deadly weapon, and sentenced to 33 years in prison with a minimum of nine years without parole. Few have fallen quite so far as OJ.

Michelle Williams graces the cover of Interview magazine’s May 2011 issue, on newsstands in New York and L.A. Tuesday (April 26) and nationwide on May 3.

Here’s what the 30-year-old Meek’s Cutoff actress, who wore a Celine sweater, had to share:

On shooting the film in Oregon in the heat and in heavy costumes: “I know! The dresses . . . I miss that. The only part of your body left exposed to the sun were your hands. My hands have aged at a rate disproportionate to the rest of my body because of being out there in the hot sun for two months. You couldn’t keep sunscreen on your hands; you were just sort of filthy all the time.”

On how she and Ryan Gosling prepared for the second half of Blue Valentine: “We spent the first couple of weeks in the house just doing the dishes and making meals, taking out the trash and balancing out the budget and making home movies. But that wasn’t getting us to the place that we needed to go, so [director Derek Cianfrance] had us step it up, and he would ask us to pick fights with each other….First he did this ceremony where he had wedding pictures taken of us, and he took a framed wedding picture and put it in a wheelbarrow with fireworks that we bought at the grocery store, and he doused it with kerosene and we lit it on fire and watched it burn. But the crazy thing is, it didn’t burn all the way—it burned into a heart around our faces, around our kiss. He couldn’t destroy it.” (via)

A lot of people who say they've seen The Godfather are liars

Suggesting that people sometimes treat pop culture knowledge as some sort of game of one-upmanship—though that can’t possibly be true— a recent survey by the British video rental service LOVEFiLM finds that plenty of people lie about having seen films they haven’t actually seen. Not surprisingly, many of the films named are classic films that they should see rather than simply lying about, and as such they are only hurting themselves. Here are the top 10 movies that made the list, ranked by the percentage of respondents who named it. From now on, if someone tells you they’re familiar with them, you should probably thrust a finger in their face and call them a liar, just to be safe:

Jodie Foster's character in Elysium is literally a HBIC

Neil Blomkamp's much buzzed-about upcoming film "Elysium" had many of us sold even before its stellar cast was announced. Mostly because his first film, "District 9," was SO great! But now with all the star power of Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura and my favorite, William Fichtner, the movie is pretty much a must-see. Even if we have to wait until March 8, 2013, to see it.

Although details are scarce, I managed to get Jodie Foster to talk briefly about her role as an alien head of state during the press day for "The Beaver" on Tuesday.

When asked whether her character will be a good or bad alien ruler, Foster said she'll be a little bit of both.

"I'm kind of evil-ish, yes, I'm kind of evil-ish, which you know I love," she said.
"I'm just excited to work with Neil Blomkamp, the director of "District 9," which I think is pretty much as close to a perfect film that I can think of, and Matt Damon, who I'm a big fan of, and Sharlto Copley."

What about her character's look in the film? Has she received any details on that?

"Not quite yet, I guess I'll have to wait and see," Foster said. "But I look fabulous, I'm just going to tell you that right now," she joked.

And what of the aliens in the film? Green martian stuff or realistic, human-like extra terrestrials?

"No I think he's exploring similar themes [as depicted in "District 9"] about social injustice, and a future that excludes people, where the have-nots and the haves are becoming more and more distinct."

Works for me! 2013, hurry up!

Jennifer Lopez and Jeremy Renner join Ice Age 4

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jeremy Renner, Wanda Sykes, Keke Palmer and Jennifer Lopez are joining the voice cast of 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift, along with Aziz Ansari and hip hop star Drake.

Returning are Ice Age franchise stars Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck.

The cast was revealed Tuesday during a meeting on the Fox lot with potential promotional partners, licensees and retail partners. The presentation was led by Fox Filmed Entertainment co-chair Tom Rothman and Fox Animation Studios president Vanessa Morrison. Romano and Queen Latifah took participants through the story Continental Drift.

The first three Ice Age films have grossed nearly $2 billion at the worldwide box office, putting Fox and partner Blue Sky Studios squarely in the animation game.

In Continental Drift — which hits theaters on July 13, 2012 — Renner will portray Gutt, a self-styled master of the high seas. Lopez will play Shira, a sabre toothed who melts the heart of Diego, also a sabre toothed tiger.

Leary has recommitted to voice the role of Diego, while Romano returns as Manny and Queen Latifah as Ellie.

I love the Ice Age movies. Didn't know (or forgot) there was going to be a fourth one! Can't wait.

Was Tonight's Glee Episode Homophobic?

For an episode seemingly about self-acceptance and loving one's afflictions, Glee seemed to have completely missed the mark. In the final song, a cover of Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way,' all the Glee club members were supposed to wear shirts of things that they were ashamed of or aspects of their life that held them back. Recently reunited Glee member Kurt has been, up until this point, very proud and open about his homosexuality. However, Kurt wears a shirt with the phrase "LIKES BOYS" alluding to the fact that his homosexuality was an affliction. This could be a misinterpretation, but the Glee writers could have been more tactful with what Kurt was baring.  (this is how i felt, i was born this way)

In the breakdown of "Born This Way," both the original version and Glee's cover include the lyrics "....No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life. I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive..." But, tonight's episode surprisingly omitted the line from the performance, while every other group was listed. Was it for time? Did it just not fit? Or does FOX not think America is ready to hear 'teens' sing about being gay, lesbian, bi or transgendered?

What do you all think??

Jessie J Wants To Duet With Rihanna

Jessie J has a special collaboration in mind - she wants to work with RiRi.

The singer-songwriter actually wrote her hit song Do It Like A Dude for the Bajan beauty but ended up recording it herself for her debut album Who You Are.

Now Jessie is hoping she can perform the track with Rihanna in the near future, as she revealed to Canada's New.Music.Live. "I wanna ask her, I really wanna ask her if we can perform it together," explains the Price Tag singer. "Either on her tour or at V Festival or one of the big festivals. I definitely think that she would kill it.”

As for other dream collaborations, Jessie shared: "I'd definitely want to work with Aretha Franklin, Prince and Beyonce. I recently spoke with Jasmine Sullivan on the phone, I definitely want to get in the studio with her."

She continued: "I want to work with Willow Smith, I think she's incredible. It's a very humbling situation when an artist wants to work with you and you get the opportunity to work with them."
