A slightly tl;dr interview with one half of the best TV couple that isn't Dair

Unless you happened to catch NBC's accidental February promo spilling the beans, last week's insta-wedding of Andy and April on Parks and Recreation was a genuine (and insanely sweet) surprise. Because Parks wrapped production on this season's episodes late last year, the show's writers and cast had to keep the nuptials secret for months. Now that the knot has been tied, however, they're free to talk — so Vulture called up groom Chris Pratt to ask him about the genesis of this blessed twist. Also on the agenda for this Transcript: A discussion of why everyone in Pawnee is so nice (and why some folks in Hollywood aren't), his penchant for physical comedy, and some surprising revelations about co-stars Aubrey Plaza and Jim "Jerry" O'Heir. Wait, you want more awesomesauce? Okay: There's also a candid confession about his feelings toward his Moneyball co-star Brad Pitt, as well as an out-of-the-blue cameo from wife Anna Faris.

Flashpoint: CBS TV Series Returns in Two Weeks

CBS’ new Friday night dramedy, CHAOS, debuted to poor ratings and never recovered. The network has pulled and essentially cancelled the TV series after three episodes. That’s ultimately good news for fans of Flashpoint.

This week, CBS will fill the timeslot with a rerun of CSI: NY. Next week, the previously scheduled The Royal Wedding: Modern Majesty special will air. Then, on May 6th, the fourth season of Canadian drama Flashpoint will kick off.

You may recall that, back in January, CBS made an unusual deal for more episodes of Flashpoint. Last summer, CBS didn’t get around to airing six episodes from season three. CTV, the Canadian network, did finish airing them and commissioned a fourth season of 18 episodes. Those are still in production. CBS President Nina Tassler seemed to be on the fence about purchasing any more episodes.

Ultimately the network decided to purchase the rights to seven episodes from CTV’s season four, combine them with the leftover half dozen from season three, and run them this summer. US viewers will get to see the remaining 11 episodes as they’ll be added to the syndication package. Cable channel Ion has already made a deal to run the whole series. The current round of CBS episodes will be added to the package once the network’s licensing deal expires.

CBS had planned to bring Flashpoint back sometime this summer but, with the failure of CHAOS, the network’s bringing the show back earlier than expected. If the network doesn’t preempt the schedule or air reruns, the season will be finished by the end of July.

What do you think? Are you glad to hear Flashpoint is coming back in just a couple weeks. Will you be watching?

Some rapper that nobody on ONTD knows is getting death threats for saying he's "gay"...

In his steady rise to rap notoriety, Lil B has relied heavily on his viral fanbase. His multiple MySpace pages, Facebook "likes" and army of Twitter followers have helped propel his music and message. But ever since Lil B announced at Coachella last week that the title of his next album will be I'm Gay, some fans have turned on the Based God. A few have even sent digital death threats.

"People been hitting me up like, 'I'm gonna bash your head in,' 'you f----t,' 'I'm gonna kill you,' " Lil B told MTV News on Thursday (April 21), as he drove to a show at the Mezzanine in San Francisco.

Nicole Scherzinger filming the video for "Right There"

Nicole Scherzinger is seen filming the music video for her new single Right There in Downtown Los Angeles yesterday (April 21). Nicole looks FANTASTIC as usual!

Look for the song on Nicole’s debut solo album Killer Love, which actually dropped on Monday. Right There is the album’s third single, following Poison and Don’t Hold Your Breath. Here’s what 4Music said about the “best bits” of the album:

Wet, with its throbbing bass and electronic beats, is an essential addition to your party playlist, while the album’s title track is catchier than the common cold. We’re also liking the sound of Right There, which is like a more polite version of Rihanna‘s Rude Boy - ‘put your hands on my body’ is about as naughty as this one gets!”

Brian Friedman Opens Up About Britney's Dancing

Brit's choreographer, Brian Friedman, opened up to OKmagazine.com about working with Britney.

“I got the phone call saying, ‘Britney really wants to get back together with you, are you available?’ ” Brian said, who started working with Britney the day after Christmas to prepare for the videos. “Everyone is definitely in a different place now. We’re grown. When Britney and I worked together before, she was 19, I was in my early 20s. I’m 30 now and she’s a mother with two. We have different goals and energies and priorities. It’s great to see her grown up and she’s got her babies, who mean everything to her. A lot has changed.”

Brian choreographed Brit's "Overprotected" music video, as well as her Grammy Award winning "Toxic" routine. But don't think Britney had no say!

“She knows what she wants and there’s often a lot of times where she’s like, ‘Uh uh. I’m not doing that,’” Brian says. “It’s not that she doesn’t like [the dance move]. She just says, ‘It doesn’t look good on my body. This would feel better.’ You’ll give another option and then she’ll say, ‘That’s what I like, this is good.’ And being that she’s a dancer, we vibe off of each other on a lot of steps.”

“I feel like a comedian all day when we’re working together,” he tells OK!. “If you do a little squat down to the floor, I always scream, ‘take a poop!’ … I always use analogies with steps because if you remember, ‘take a poop, wipe it off’ then you remember doing a squat and then coming up and doing a hip roll with your hands on your hips.”

So what's it like working with Britney? “For me, it’s Britney Spears and it’s just like working with anybody else,” Brian says. “I think it’s important for people to know that you just can’t place them on a pedestal because the second you do, rehearsals will be weird.”

Brian says at the end of the day, she's just like any other girl.

“Britney’s pretty simple with her requests,” Brain says. “She likes her vanilla candles in her room. And before we would go into any of the work that we would do, her only request was a ham and cheese croissant.”

Rilo Kiley to release B-Sides

Rilo Kiley are working on a collection of B-sides to put out later this year — the band's first release since 2007's Under the Blacklight. TV Couples We're Supposed to Care About -- But Don't

These aren't necessarily the worst couples on TV this season (after all, Jim and Pam are missing from the list), but rather the romantic pairings whose fan followings are most disproportionate to our current interest levels. Granted, we may once been invested in their storylines at one time, but at this point we'd just wish that their respective shows would finally move beyond them.

10. Peter and Olivia (Fringe)
Granted, we cared for a minute when we thought there could be some weird William Bell/Peter/Olivia three-way, but by in large, we aren't particularly rooting for Peter and our Olivia to live happily ever after. Peter and Fauxlivia on the other hand...

9. Susan and Mike (Desperate Housewives
After all these years, we can't believe the show still finds ways to pull them apart and then get them back together again. What will come first, their happy ending, a permanent split, another internal organ failure for Susan or the series getting cancelled? We know which one we're rooting for.

OP: This article has more drama...

CBS Films just closed a movie option deal for the young adult novel Level 2, right around the same time its sister company Simon & Schuster Children's Books closed a publishing deal. Value of both is around $500,000, and there is a second book in the publishing component for the author, Lenore Appelhans. Some scouts and execs in the film buying community are pissed. Why? They said the lit agent, Foundry Literary + Media's Stephen Barbara, asked publishers to sign a non-disclosure agreement before getting the manuscript late last week. Editors who do that usually don't share the info with the movie crowd. Word in the lit community is that Hammer got the goods over the weekend, made a take-it-or-leave-it offer that Foundry and CAA took. All before other buyers got a peek. "Next time Foundry tells us there's an NDA, we'll take it as a sign that the NDA is not valid and there are no repercussions for an editor flipping the book," said one.

Emmy inside track: The race for TV drama actor

After winning the Emmy for TV drama actor three years in a row, Bryan Cranston is now out of the derby because "Breaking Bad" wasn't televised during the award's eligibility period (June 1, 2010 - May 31, 2011). That's good news for three repeat contenders who are always nominated and never win: Michael C. Hall (who won a Golden Globe and SAG Award for "Dexter"), "House M.D.'s" Hugh Laurie (two Globes and two SAG trophies) and Jon Hamm (one Globe but no solo laurels from SAG for "Mad Men").

Most pundits believe Laurie probably never will win because of the Emmy's voting method. Winners are decided by a jury of actors who watch sample episodes submitted by each nominee. Laurie gives a fireworks performance, yes, but it's of an arrogant, unhuggable character. Maybe we shouldn't discount his chances too much, however, considering James Gandolfini won three times for portraying a murderous thug on "The Sopranos."

Hamm may have a good shot this year thanks to a strong episode of "Mad Men" titled "The Suitcase," which he'll probably submit. It's a real winner, giving him a showcase to display a wide range of emotions. He even gets drunk and has crying scenes.

Dilbert Douche Defends Gwynnie for Some Reason??

Adrien Chen wrote this article about how Scott Adams, who is not actually funny, needs to stop defending people who are pretty much indefensible tbh!!

The ridicule heaped on Scott Adams after being caught using a pseudonym to defend himself on message boards has left an indelible impact on the Dilbert cartoonist. He is now a defender of all famous people from the internet's smears. Let him explain why a black woman blogger has no right to criticize Gwyneth Paltrow's privilege, because she's a black woman. Huffington Post blogger Keli Goff wrote a column slamming Gwyneth Paltrow's suggestion that "everything in my life that's good is because I worked my ass off to get it and to maintain it." Goff noted, correctly, that a large part of what's good Gwyneth Paltrow's life comes from the fact that she was born with a brace of silver spoons in her perfectly-shaped mouth and calls Steven Spielberg "Uncle Steven."

In "Hanna," The Chemical Brothers Get a Piece of the Action

In the thriller “Hanna,” a doughy, tracksuit-wearing villain played by Tom Hollander pursues the young heroine (Saoirse Ronan) while whistling an upbeat tune. Tom Cruise To Play Cheating Politician In Dan Fogelman Film

Tom Cruise is partnering with a longtime Disney screenwriter for a film ain't too family friendly.

The "Mission: Impossible" star is attached to a script from "Cars" and "Tangled" writer Dan Fogelman about a politician who has an affair and heads back home to re-collect his spiraling out of control life. The project was a hot commodity, and was just snatched up by Warner Bros. on Thursday.

It's a dramatic turn for Fogelman, who has begun to incorporate some less family-friendly films into his portfolio. He wrote the upcoming Steve Carell/Ryan Gosling comedy, "Crazy, Stupid, Love."; his last live action film was 2007's Christmas hit, "Fred Claus." He's back in the family zone for "Cars 2," which is currently in production, but he's also the writer behind the upcoming raunchy comedy, "My Mother's Curse," starring Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand.

Cruise will next be seen in "Mission: Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol," and will play lead in the star-studded Broadway adaptation "Rock of Ages."

"She's always had issues with her nose. She thought she'd come to terms with its shape, but without her long hair, she thinks it looks too big for her face again. She thinks it makes her face look rounder, and she hates that. He hair was really a major security blanket.

Bratz Wins. Barbie Loses.

In siding with MGA Entertainment Inc. over rival Mattel Inc. in the retrial over who owns the rights to the billion-dollar Bratz doll franchise, a federal jury said the toy giant had not proved its allegations of copyright infringement.

What's more, some jurors said they sympathized with MGA's plight as a small company trying to compete with the industry behemoth.

I don't think anyone should be able to bully someone and own everything, said juror Nadine Done, 22.

The eight-person jury unanimously rejected Mattel's copyright infringement claims; said Mattel did not own the rights to the dolls, early models or sketches; and said MGA did not steal trade secrets.

Instead, it found that Mattel had stolen trade secrets from MGA and owed MGA $88.5 million. MGA had accused its rival of stealing 114 trade secrets; the jury awarded damages on 26 of them.

John C. Reilly in Talks to Play Haymitch in The Hunger Games

Loaded question: Who plays a paunchy, pathetic drunk better than John C. Reilly? Actually, that’s a bit of a trick, because the answer, of course, is no one. And for that reason, we’re told it will be the Oscar-nominated Reilly who’ll be soon be getting the offer to play Haymitch Abernathy in the forthcoming adaptation of Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games at Lionsgate Films.

If you’ve read Collins’s bestselling book, you already know that Abernathy is the only person from Panem’s District 12 to ever win The Hunger Games, and now serves as a mentor, albeit an alcoholic one, to district tributes Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). And if you haven’t read the book, well, then you have no earthly idea what we just said, but this site can help you get up to speed.

We’re also told that Reilly had been in talks to join Disney’s Oz, the Great and the Powerful as the sidekick to James Franco’s Wizard character, but that those talks had stalled; now we know why.

Disney's 'Oz' flick hits a casting snag

It’s not quite "DEFCON 1," but relations between director Sam Raimi and Disney have gotten extremely heated of late, and the reason has to do with studio brass's strong opinions over the casting of Oz, the Great and the Powerful. Insiders tell Vulture that Raimi has been adamant about casting two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank as one of the elder witches in the film. However, Vulture is also informed that Disney is strongly opposed to such an idea. The studio has been pushing Raimi to offer the part to Michelle Williams, herself a two-time Oscar nominee, most recently for the Weinstein Co.'s ’s Blue Valentine.

It’s unclear how far Raimi is willing to take his fight, but one agent familiar with the director notes that he can be doggedly tenacious in such situations: Infamously, when Sony’s Columbia Pictures brass and virtually everyone else involved with producing the first Spider-Man were pushing American Beauty star Wes Bentley for the role of Peter Parker, it was Raimi alone who insisted on — and obviously ultimately succeeded — in getting Tobey Maguire approved for the star-making part.

The battle over Swank is only the latest snag to hit Oz, the Great and the Powerful. As this blog just reported, John C. Reilly had been in talks to join the production as the sidekick to the Wizard, James Franco, but is expected to get the formal offer from Lionsgate Films to play a much bigger role: that of Hunger Games winner and tribute mentor, Haymitch Abernathy.

Particularly if the movie is the legendary 1992 film Juice, which starred Omar Epps and Tupac Shakur, and especially when the person doing the tampering is Soulja Boy. Nevertheless, during a recent interview with Vibe.com, the “Crank That” rapper revealed he’s remaking the film. Soulja Boy said:

“Basically, it’s your boy Soulja and I’m Bishop in 2011, running around in the streets, man. You know how the movie goes, but we’re flipping it and shooting in Atlanta. I want to show these people my acting side and me being creative—always giving them something new; that’s all. I got the same video director that shot ‘Crank That,’ ‘Kiss Me Through The Phone,’ ‘Turn My Swag On’ —my most successful videos.”

Yes, you read that correctly. He said Bishop, the role taken on by ‘Pac in the original film (blank stare)..now look, I have nothing but respect for Soulja Boy’s grind, but is this dude serious??? Why do I get the feeling this updated version of Juice (which begins filming next week) will be delegated to late nights on BET and the DVD discount bin at Wal Mart right next to Game‘s ill-fated Belly sequel? SMH

This fool look like a Unicef relief  poster that got hit with graffitti ......He aint 2pac, what would he know about Bishop? And Juice is one of the most Hip-Hop movies ever made, what would he know about it? Hit the cut to remember this classic film
and keep this dude away from  remaking this movie.

US Weekly Names Jessica Simpson 'Style Icon of the Year'.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jessica Simpson was just named ‘Style Icon of the Year’ by Us Weekly, partly because of her successful clothing line and partly due to her personal style. Here’s what Jessica tells us about how to dress her body shape:

"High-waisted jeans are a risk for me – I’m short! They don’t work unless I’m wearing major platforms and something flattering up top, but not a high collar. If I don’t show my collarbone, I skew uni-boob. We have some high-waisted jeans coming out that I might try. But it does make me sweat, I have to say! My curves are a challenge. I have to be more conscious of what I’m wearing so I don’t look like a complete tool."

… says Jessica.

What do you think of their stylish pick?

Yes, that's right, Christina Aguilera has changed the face of UK TV.

ITV went to “the very margin of acceptability for broadcast” with a raunchy performance by the singer Christina Aguilera during last year’s X Factor final, according to the broadcasting watchdog Ofcom, which will as a result issue new taste and decency guidelines to broadcasters of family entertainment shows.

The performance, which generated over 2,800 complaints lol, too easy was described in the regulator’s report as featuring costumes which “were revealing, with limited coverage of the buttocks, and were of a sexualised nature because they were based on lingerie such as basques, stockings and suspenders”.

Christina Aguilera celebrates her induction into the Hollywood Gay Walk of Fame

She was the first star to be inaugurated into the Hollywood Gay Walk of Fame, so it was no surprise that Christina Aguilera hit a gay bar last night to celebrate.

The singer and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler danced amidst the happy crowd and a group of their friends at The Abbey in West Hollywood.

But when she left The Abbey and headed over to The Sunset Strip, onlookers were flashed her G-string through the star's see-through tights.

Keke Palmer joins new Nick Cannon film

I am so excited to announce my next Big project it’s a movie called Rags or Ragz, not sure how the spelling will end up, but that does not matter because the script is fun and full of great music !

The idea came from Nick Cannon, he called my parents and said he had this cool script that he had been working on and he wanted me to read it, I was like cool, so we met he gave me the script and the rest is history! I loved the project so much that I wanted to be a producer on it as well , I even got to make suggestions on the script which influenced the music and speaking of the music, we were so fortunate to have been able to steal Rodney Jerkins, and his amazing writing team, away from American Idol long enough to write all of the fabulous music!!

We were also very blessed to obtain Bille Woodruff as the director, he is a masterful director especially with music, most famous for the film Honey with Jessica Alba . I have not done a movie like this since Jump IN, I think the timing is right and I look forward to this project , hope you guys like this one as much as you did Jump In ! Hey, what do you guys think RAGS or RAGZ ????

Kobayashi gets dissed

Six-time Nathan’s hot dog champ Takeru Kobayashi’s name removed from Coney Island ‘Wall of Fame’

Champion wiener-eater Takeru Kobayashi has been purged from the great "Wall of Fame" on Coney Island, replaced by a new rising star in competitive eating, officials said.

The name of the six-time winner of Nathan's Famous July Fourth International Hot Dog Eating Contest was removed from the wall by the Major League Eating organization.
"The wall has been changed a few different times," said organizer Richard Shea. "And they were all great eaters at the time."
Kobayashi was arrested at last year's event for storming the stage after he was banned from participating because of a dispute with organizers.
Kobayashi could not be reached for comment.

Justin and Mila backstage at Ellen DeGeneres Show

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There’s been all kinds of speculation about Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. About whether or not he broke up with Jessica Biel to pursue her. About how badly he wanted to get in there when they were shooting Friends With Benefits. About how it could all just be a publicity stunt leading up to the release of the movie.

Earlier this week, Mila and Pips were at the Ellen Show taping an appearance that will air later this month. They were also captured on web cam backstage, embracing like friends but maybe a little more but maybe not.

So it’s time for our favourite game of Assumption. This time with video. Then we can draw conclusions based only on 6 seconds of footage.

Jana Kramer's new song, 'Whiskey'

Jana Kramer will be premiering a new song called “Whiskey” on The CW’s One Tree Hill during Tuesday’s episode (April 26).
This is her second performance on the show. Her first song was “I Won’t Give Up,” which she co-wrote.
Jana tells JustJared.com, “On the show, Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) asks Alex (Kramer) to perform a song at Club Trick and ‘Whiskey’ seemed like such a good fit for this particular episode because the characters are all facing different areas of losses and finding ways to deal with the pain. One of the things I love about the song ‘Whiskey’ is that it’s something everyone can relate to because we’ve all had moments in our life that we wish we could take back.”

love it! i prefer 'i won't give up' though. still, classier and better than taylor swift etc.

Arnold Klein Pulls 180, Says Michael Jackson Did NOT Have Gay Affair With Jason Pfeiffer

Dr. Arnold Klein -- the dermatologist who loomed large in Michael Jackson's life -- has now changed his story and says his good friend and office manager -- Jason Pfeiffer -- did NOT have an affair with Michael Jackson.

Klein had previously told TMZ that Jackson was "openly gay" but that Jason's alleged relationship with the singer was the only gay relationship MJ ever had. Klein described Jason as "the love of [Michael's] life," claiming that he'd been dating the late singer for an entire year before his death in 2009; later, Klein and Pfeiffer changed their story and stated it was only for two months (during one of which Klein and Pfeiffer was seen on vacation . . . together).

Klein (who filed for bankruptcy earlier this year) originally sold the story of "MJ's gay lover," complete with an interview with himself and Pfeiffer, to Extra two years ago, before the multi-part special was abruptly cancelled.

And now on his Facebook page, Klein says "Allegations about ... Jason being Michael Jackson's lover are ridiculous.  That story was made up ... " Klein took it a step further, writing that he doesn't believe "there is any evidence to indicate that [Michael] was gay."

However, Klein takes no blame in selling the tall tale to TMZ and Extra, claiming that he "only found out Jason made up the tale 6 months ago," and that the story was all "fabricated [by] a ghost writer." Whatever you say, Doc.

Klein also scoffs at allegations he contributed to MJ's death, saying, "I made two interventions on Michael's Propofol Abuse myself ..."

Jennifer Hudson is reunited with her Bafta.... Five years after it was lost in the post

When she won a Bafta Award in 2006 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson was delighted but was unable to collect the prestigious prize in person.
So officials decided to send the award over to her in the US through the post... but it never arrived.
And now, five years after she was meant to receive the prize, Hudson was reunited with her award during an interview on The Graham Norton Show.

Norton presented Hudson with the award in an humorous ceremony reenactment, but the surprise gift left 29-year-old Hudson slightly emotional.
Hudson, who showed off her amazing figure in a tight black Victoria Beckham dress, also spoke to Norton about her recent incredible weight loss.
The actress, who has dropped five dress sizes after adopting the WeightWatchers eating plan, said: 'I’ve had all kinds of reactions.
'People have said, "It’s not Jennifer" or "you look just like Jennifer Hudson… you have her face," even my son doesn’t recognise me from before and he didn’t know me when I was large.'
And Hudson, who is currently in the UK to promote her new album I Remember Me, is also feeling excited about next week's Royal Wedding - especially as she is planning her own nuptials to fiancé David Otunga.
Asked if she would ever get married, Hudson replied: 'Yes. Eventually I am. I am engaged, I have the dress and everything. I hear Kate has four dress options but my dress has four parts in one – it has its own show.'

lol i don't understand how it's took all that time for it to get to her!!

RHONY's Jill Zarin: 'I needed to regroup and re-center'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
"The Real Housewives of New York" difficult for Jill Zarin.

It was a polarizing season as fans who used to love the duo of Jill and Bethenny Frankel were forced to choose sides as their friendship unraveled on the show. But, Jill says her relationship with the show's fans is on an upswing.

"There's no question that I think a lot of fans who questioned their feelings about me have come back to the nest," Jill tells Zap2it.

"I think because there were a lot of influences last year and that's last year," she adds. "The good thing about TV is people have a short memory and make decisions and such based on what they see in front of them at the time."

Jill has a metaphor for the relationship she has with her cast mates, which she says resembles summer camp.

"I sort of visualize the show like the seven of us are in a bunk," she explains. "And some of them will be your best friends. Some of them you'll like a lot. And some of them it will be harder to get along with."

Breaking: Kate Middleton is Not a Virgin

Heh. We knew that -- and the Palace thinks it's OK, too. While Princess Diana and previous royal brides had to publicly confirm their virginity, The Queen and Co. are relaxing the expectation for the thoroughly modern Middleton.

It's been three long decades since the fuss over Princess Diana's V-card: the family desired a "pure" wife for Charles, rather than someone whom he'd already dated (see: Camilla Shand, now his current partner. Diana, 19 and innocent, was the chosen one.

"Charles may well have wanted to marry Camilla, but she was not seen as an appropriate choice because she was known to have had several boyfriends by that time," writes Greg Katz of The Associated Press.

Some historians and commentators believe this was a major factor in Charles' fateful decision to marry Diana rather than Camilla, setting in motion a tragic chain of events that culminated with Diana's 1997 death in a car crash."

Oof. Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton have been together for eight years; the 29-year-old brunette first caught his eye wearing a see-through dress in a college fashion show. Sexy, modern times.

The bigger issue regarding the Royal Wedding might be the monarchy's prudishness about prenups. That's a whole 'nother can of worms.
