Filming on Freddie Mercury Biopic Slated for Later This Year

Film adapation of 'We Will Rock You' also in development

It’s always a great time to be a Queen fan, but especially now. Last September, we reported that Sacha Baron Cohen was attached to play Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in a film about the rock musician’s life.  Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor have told Queen Online that screenwriter Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) has delivered a first draft of the script, and that the team behind the flick is planning to shoot later this year with an eye towards a fall 2012 release.  May and Taylor also say that they’re developing the Queen jukebox musical We Will Rock You into a movie.

New Featurette for 'Paul' Starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

To follow up the new trailer that we posted yesterday, here’s a new Paul featurette with some fresh footage of the Alien comedy and a couple of golden quotes from stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This is the latest in our extensive coverage of the movie, so make sure you’re up to date with the poster, set report, and our interviews with Pegg and Frost. The film sees the pair as sci-fi geeks road tripping via Comic-Con to UFO sites and Area 51 when they close encounter an actual alien, Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen), and suddenly find themselves on a mission to return him to his mother ship. Paul is due for release stateside on 18th March 2011 and will be in UK cinemas exactly one month earlier. Alongside Pegg and Frost, it stars Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Hader, and Joe Lo Truglio.

And Steve Jobs Said, 'Let There Be a Verizon iPhone

From the dawn of time, or somewhere around there, everyone from Uncle Mike to that friend of a friend of someone in accounting has been certain that next month Verizon will get the iPhone. For the first time ever, they’re right.

Verizon’s iPhone will be exactly like AT&T’s iPhone, only it will be able to make phone calls (har har).

Actually, there are only two differences reported so far. The buttons have moved ever so slightly (thanks to different antenna requirements), meaning if you switch you’ll probably need a new case. More important, the iPhone on Verizon will have the ability to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for other devices, a feature many Android phones on Big Red already have.

A word of caution: Apple will almost certainly announce a new version of the iPhone this summer, leaving early switchers stuck in a two-year contract with an outdated device.

Also, Verizon is in the process of launching its new 4G LTE network, which is much faster than Sprint’s wimax network and the impostor “4G” of AT&T and T-Mobile (what those two call 4G is really more like 3G-plus). Verizon is set to release a number of very exciting 4G handsets and the iPhone is not one of them. If you want to take advantage of Verizon’s fast new network and do FaceTime, you’ll have to wait.

Who wore it better? Rihfund or Diane Kroger? - Poll

When it comes to baring your bod in a bathing suit, attracting minimal attention is usually the main goal. Unless, that is, you’re a stylish A-lister like Rihanna or Diane Kruger.

Over the holidays, RiRi experimented with her feline side (and may have scored some cat calls) while home in Barbados. But she wasn’t the only one on the prowl for the cat swimsuit trend. Diane Kruger sported the same We Are Handsome panther-themed bathing suit while walking on the beach in Mexico with boyfriend Joshua Jackson (not pictured) on Jan. 10.

And while we give both ladies props for drawing some playful attention to themselves on the beach, we can’t decide which of these two glamorous stars wore the trend better.

Armond White Causes Controversy; Earth Orbits Sun

Armond White vs. Darren Aronofsky:
When critics and filmmakers collide in public

The New York Film Critics Circle awards dinner is traditionally a festive, elegant affair honoring the filmmakers and actors voted best in their category each year by one of the most prestigious critics’ groups in the country. But after last night’s edition — the 76th in the group’s proud history — all talk of the pleasures of Colin Firth’s charming acceptance speech as Best Actor or Michelle Williams’ sweet presentation to Mark Ruffalo as Best Supporting Actor was drowned out by chatter about critic Armond White and director Darren Aronofsky.

James Cameron is a Hypocrite

James Cameron has directed two installments in the "Terminator" franchise and is now planning to turn "Avatar" into a trilogy since Avatar grossed 1 billion Avatars but has the idea that sequels are made due to hollywood having no originality recycling the plot and charcters to make money wich he has also done himself heres quotes from cameron himself.

"We have a story crisis," he said (translated). "Now they want to make the 'Battleship' game into a film. This is pure desperation. Everyone in Hollywood knows how important it is that a film is a brand before it hit theaters. If a brand has been around, 'Harry Potter' for example, or 'Spider-Man,' you are light years ahead. And there lies the problem. Because unfortunately these franchises are become more ridiculous. 'Battleship.' This degrades the cinema."
And also spoke about how Harry Potter was split into two movies and also Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn the studio knew it would be able to make more money. He called the move "excessive." Cameron, meanwhile, released "Avatar" in theaters twice, created two separate DVD/Blu-ray editions of the film and is now converting "Titanic" to 3D.

My husband says he has no regrets about "The Tourist"

Johnny Depp tells EW he wouldn’t change a thing about his recent thriller The Tourist. The film, which also stars Angelina Jolie, was released last month to a tepid $16 million opening-weekend gross and often harsh reviews. (EW critic Owen Gleiberman wrote that while the film “isn’t a debacle … it’s a caper that’s fatally low on carbonation.”)

However, Depp says that even if he could go back in time to the start of the movie’s production, he wouldn’t alter the film one jot. “I’d do it exactly the same,” says the actor, who portrays a math teacher caught up in some international intrigue while on a European vacation. “I wanted to work with Angelina and I felt like I had a good handle on the character. It was not a character that I’d really played before. I don’t know the main ingredient of success at the box office. I just feel that’s not something I can do anything about.”

To be fair, Depp isn’t the only one happy about the way The Tourist turned out. The film is up for three awards at this Sunday’s Golden Globes, including a nod for Depp in the category of Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical. The movie has also now grossed $160 million worldwide.

Depp will next be heard in this March’s Rango — director Gore Verbinski’s animated Western for which Depp voiced the movie’s chameleon hero — and then will be heard and seen in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which will be released May 20.

"I'd do it the same" isn't the same as "happy," but eh, I've certainly seen worse, and I would have been very disappointed if he'd turned around and dissed the movie because it didn't do well; that always seems petty to me. I plan to scream and cry with joy when he wins the Globe (for Alice) on Sunday, because he owes us a proper speech from 2008.

Liam Gallagher Channels Beatles in New Video

Liam Gallagher doesn't hide his love away for the Beatles. He recently produced a new doc about the Fab Four, and he claims he's even haunted by Lennon's ghost.

Liam's post-Oasis group Beady Eye just released a video for "The Roller," off their debut Different Gear, Still Speeding (out in February), and it's a straight-up Beatles homage, both musically and visually.

The clip features an anthemic piano ballad with Liam sporting a shaggy moptop and playing rock'n'roll savior, rescuing distraught people while the band rocks out in numerous split frames, 1960s-style, like the Beatles, and a circus girl drives a motorcycle in circles. Like a nouveau Magical Mystery Tour… or something.

Steve Martin Teams up with Paul McCartney

For his second bluegrass album, comedian turned musician Steve Martin was joined in the studio by very special guests, the Dixie Chicks and the walrus himself, Sir Paul McCartney.

Martin’s first musical album The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo was a widely held success featuring both instrumental and guest performers on banjo. The record topped the Bluegrass charts in 2009 and earned Martin a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.

Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers performed in 2009 at the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park sharing the banjo stage with Ricky Skaggs and Steve Earle & The Bluegrass Dukes.

Rare Bird Alert
is Martin’s forthcoming LP and represents “an intense, but joyful period of songwriting and touring. My love of this music continues,” he told Vintage Vinyl News.

On having a Beatle on his album Martin remarked, “It's very hard to believe. I was a kid when I first heard Paul McCartney, and if you told me one day that he'd be singing one of my tunes, I'm still flabbergasted.”

The album will include thirteen new songs plus a treat for fans of the comic genius - a live version of King Tut.

Martin is an accomplished banjo player having played the instrument almost as long as he’s performed comedy. While the banjo was a staple during his stand up career he has made a smooth transition to recording artist with prestigious appearances at The Grand Ole Opry, The Royal Festival Hall, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, and A Prairie Home Companion.

"You're always with somebody, whether you're on stage or in a recording studio, and my whole comedy career was solo," Martin said. "So that's a huge difference, a huge change for me and it's a positive change."

Rare Bird Alert
is set for release March 15th with an 11 city tour currently booked. More dates to be announced.

Johnny Weir Shares Sex Life Details With Howard Stern

Johnny Weir opened up big time on Howard Stern yesterday, chatting about how he achieved his Black Swanesque figure while training: one small salad and tiny piece of chicken or beef A DAY, a total of around 200 calories.

Johnny talks about first thinking he was gay at 6 years old when he was watching Pretty Woman and kinda wanted to be Julia Roberts. Growing up in a very conservative town in Pennslyvania he had no other gay friends but says his teen years were nothing like Kurt Hummel‘s on Glee.

It goes on and on. Howard finds out his sex preferences: top or bottom, why he doesn’t have a boyfriend, whether he’s ever slept with a woman, who he fantasizes while masturbating, why he says he’d marry a woman, how often he cross dresses, his longtime crush Justin Timberlake, why he refuses to give up wearing fur and his affinity for Kelly Osbourne and  Christina Aguilera. Pretty much required listening if you’re a fan of Johnny Weir.

the wbc will not picket 9 year old's funeral

I know this isn't ~gossip news or anything, but it's something really important.

A Kansas church has decided to not protest at the funeral of a nine-year-old girl killed in a shooting rampage in Tucson, Ariz.

Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka says church members will skip Thursday's funeral of Christina Taylor Green in Tucson.

Phelps-Roper says the church decided against the picket in exchange for airtime with 102.1 The Edge in Toronto and an interview with KXXT-AM in Phoenix, Ariz., on Saturday.

Phelps-Roper says the group will picket the Friday funeral of U.S. District Judge John Roll and at the intersection where Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and others were shot.

The Arizona legislature unanimously passed a measure Tuesday banning protests at or near funeral sites.

The Topeka Capital-Journal first reported the church's decision to skip the girl's funeral.

Return of 'The Game' draws 7+ million viewers despite some of the worst hair on TV

BET scored a major ratings victory last night with the premiere of scripted series The Game, which drew 7.7 million viewers -- the network's biggest audience for a scripted series debut.

The African-American targeted network produced the fourth season of The Game - which follows the lives and relationships of players on a fictional pro-football team - after the CW cancelled the show after three seasons.

BET last night also drew 4.4 million viewers for the debut of a second scripted show, Let's Stay Together. The series, which takes a look at the relationship challenges of five young, aspirational African-Americans, was produced by actress/singer Queen Latifah's production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment.

Another Baby Goose/Michelle Williams interview

"Why do they call this an 'anti-love story'?" Ryan Gosling asks with affable insistence, as co-star Michelle Williams listens for an answer: "I've heard that a lot, an 'anti-love story.' Why is that?"

The interviewer, while declining to agree with that characterization, offers that the film in question, "Blue Valentine," depicts the end of a relationship.

"Well, who says it's the end? One of them's not dead," says Gosling, offering a rather sunny - or partly cloudy - view of a bleak film. "They have a bad two days and the relationship continues. It may continue in a different way. It's always going to evolve; they have a kid together. But these are two people in the trenches and they're slugging it out."

Trailer for Soul Surfer

If you’re like me, you will be very confused by the trailer for Soul Surfer. The movie looks pretty enough — it stars AnnaSophia Robb (the child star of Bridge to Terabithia and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory who now bears a striking resemblance to Aimee Teegarden) as some sort of inspirational surfer. You can tell that she’s “inspirational,” because the extremely-vague trailer comes equipped with these intertitles: “One girl. One dream. One story that inspired the world.” From there, the rest of the preview can be summed up thusly: “Ooo, pretty waves! Hmm, this music is happy, but sad! Wait, was that Carrie Underwood? And Helen Hunt? And Dennis Freaking Quaid?! What am I watching?” Beyond confused, I tried rewatching the trailer, and noted that it was rated PG for “An intense accident sequence and some thematic material.” (Dear God, not themes! Anything but themes!) So what is this movie about, anyway?

It is, in fact, about the incredible story of Bethany Hamilton, the surfing champion who lost her arm in a 2003 shark attack. It’s a little bit shocking to me just how completely the trailer glosses over this fact. (Admittedly, the trailer does say the film’s about Bethany Hamilton, but given the fact that it’s target audience was probably barely out of diapers in 2003, I’m not sure that quite counts.) Viewers, decide for yourself if the trailer is purposefully glossing over the tragedy.

Ted Williams Checking Into Rehab

Ted Williams is going to rehab, Gossip Cop has confirmed with a rep for Dr. Phil, who convinced the formerly homeless man to seek treatment.

He’s en route to rehab right now.

The man with the golden voice taped two segments over the weekend with Dr. Phil.

The first, which aired yesterday, was just so the host could get more familiar with Williams.

The second episode, which airs today, featured a reunion with his family.

Sources close to the situation tell Gossip Cop that Williams and his family were kept in separate hotels before the reunion.

Fast forward: After the incident on Monday night in which Williams got into a verbal altercation with his daughter Janey, Dr. Phil had Williams come back for a third taping.

Today Williams admitted on the program that he’s currently using alcohol, a rep for the show confirms to Gossip Cop.

Away from the cameras, away from the media, Dr. Phil convinced Williams to go to rehab.

Nicole Kidman Admits: I've "Tried" Botox

Nicole Kidman is finally being frank about her face.

After denying for years that she'd ever had work done, the Golden Globe-nominated Rabbit Hole actress, 43, opened up to German magazine TV Movie when asked how she stays wrinkle-free.

"I've tried a lot of things, but apart from working out and a good diet, most things don't help," said the mom of three. "I even tried Botox."

Her candid confession is a departure from her previous comments about her visage.

In 2007, the married star told Marie Claire, "I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I take care of myself."

But Kidman told TV Movie that she's by no means a 'tox convert.

"I didn't like how my face looked afterward," she said. "Now I don't use it anymore -- and I can move my forehead again."

Gee, ya think, Nicole? I love you, but it made me SO sad when you messed up your face. And you didn't need to! You were so gorgeous. I'm glad you're returning to normal...now about those lips...

She also has a talent for moneymaking. Gaga raked in $64 million last year by our estimate, making her the seventh highest-paid musician in the world, just $1 million behind sixth-ranked Jay-Z. Only U2 ($130 million) and AC/DC ($114 million) crested the $100 million earnings mark.

Discovery's Collaboration with the Vatican for Exorcism Show is News to the Vatican

Last week the Discovery Channel announced an “unprecedented” collaboration with the Vatican on a new television series entitled “The Exorcist Files,” which explores cases of demonic possession investigated by the Catholic Church.

Discovery even claimed the upcoming series includes access into the Vatican’s case files.

“The Vatican is an extraordinarily hard place to get access to,” Discovery President GM Clark Bunting told Entertainment Weekly. “But we explained we’re not going to try to tell people what to think.”

The EW article went on to express the network’s desire to take its partnership with the Church to the “next level – joining the Catholic investigators on live demon-purging ride-alongs."

However, one slight problem – somebody might want to let the Vatican know that they’ve opened their doors.

"They (Discovery) may have had contact with some individual, but we've had no contact with Discovery here," Monsignor Paul Tighe of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, the Vatican agency that handles any filming inside Vatican City, told FOX411.com.

According to multiple Vatican officials, the Church had no official involvement with the series and the Vatican does not even have a group of exorcists.

A representative from Discovery told FOX411.com that the show is “working with Catholic priests at parishes all over the world for the show and look forward to telling their stories.”

The series is set to debut this spring.

Charlie Sheen Calls In Sick -- Blames 'Ear' Infection

Charlie's rep tells us the actor is still with his doc, who diagnosed him with a "severe ear infection."

The rep tells us Charlie will head straight to the set as soon as he finishes up with the doctor.

MetroPCS alleged to be violating net neutrality rules with new LTE plans

Well, it looks like the fine print in MetroPCS' new LTE pricing plans is causing more than just some confusion among MetroPCS customers -- as CNET reports, it's now also drawn the ire of several public interest groups, who allege that the carrier is violating the FCC's new net neutrality rules. For those not familiar with the new plans, they include a $40 plan for unlimited web browsing plus YouTube, and a $50 plan that adds 1GB of "additional data access" that covers things not considered to be "web browsing" by MetoPCS -- Netflix, Skype, etc. That, in effect, creates two different types of "data," and leaves MetroPCS as the only voice deciding what gets included in one plan and not the other. For its part, MetroPCS insists that its "new rate plans comply with the FCC's new rules on mobile open Internet," and that it is simply offering "increased consumer choice" by offering different rate plans. -ring ring- ONTD calling!

Oh Hey, ohnotheydidnt ! Whats up? Oh not much here either. But it has been snowing like crazy! The schools had two days off this week! Lots of snow where you are? Oh yeah? I wouldn't have thought that, but if you say so!

Well, as much as I love talking to you about your local weather patterns, I really need to mention something to you. You know how when a woman has a baby, she seems to talk about the baby like, ALL the time? And you're like "Hey, your baby is awesome and all, but can you stop shoving it down my throat?" You know that feeling? Well it is kind of getting like that around here with the Britney posts. Don't get me wrong, I love Britney. I have for well over a decade, but I feel like ONTD is drowning in posts about her. And the articles aren't even that interesting. Yes it is awesome she is breaking records and critics are raving about her, but we don't need a post for each individual opinion. I just looked on Google News search and there have been 10 pages of news articles posted about her in the past 24 hours! And I bet each one has been submitted here.

So please ease up on the Britney posts. I know there are people here who do not like her and I'd hate for them to dislike her even more because of all the posts on here. We don't want there to be backlash just because you all were going nuts with posting.

Oh and also there have been a TON of little twitter posts with like, one line by a celebrity. I figure if someone is a fan of that person, they're probably following them on twitter anyway and have already seen it there. I mean, if there is BIG NEWS announced on twitter, then for sure post it, but be more selective ok?

It snowed here.

Ease up on Britney posts.
Be selective with Twitter posts.

We cool?

And yes comments are on, but be cool.

Celebrity Endorsements Don't Actually Help Sell Things

As the most significant event in advertising grows nearer, it will be interesting to see how many brands enlist the endorsement services of celebrities during the Super Bowl. After all, popular wisdom asserts that getting a celebrity endorsement is a tried-and-true, simple-to-implement way to maximize advertising effectiveness. Sure, it's expensive, but celebrities always yield stronger ties with viewers and, ultimately, greater sales, right?

Wrong. Over the course of last year, time and time again we observed incredibly low effectiveness scores of TV ads starring celebrities. From Tiger Woods to Donald Trump, we found that with rare exception, celebrity endorsements were largely ineffective and failed to yield the benefits popular wisdom promises.

We set out to understand whether celebrities today are really worth the significant investment that brands were making. We studied every nationally televised ad for the first 11 months of 2010 and found that celebrity ads performed either below average or merely equaled it. Specifically, our study, 2010 Celebrity Advertisements: Exposing a Myth of Advertising Effectiveness, 2010, showed that fewer than 12% of ads using celebrities exceeded a 10% lift, and one-fifth of celebrity ads had a negative impact on advertising effectiveness.

WHO SANG IT BEST? Jeremih vs. Drake

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Remember when Drake version of the TLC song "I Get Lonely Too" leaked a few weeks ago? Well seems like it's now a Jeremih song for some unknown reason. Usually the question asked is who sang it best but honestly, this really isn't a question because it's obvious one doesn't even compare and sounds like absolute shit but whatever. Oh yeah, Jeremih is that kid who sung "Birthday Sex".

Willow Smith Inspired By Taylor Swift

Willow Smith has said that Taylor Swift's live show is an inspiration to her, saying she hopes to emulate it on her upcoming tour with Justin Bieber.

"I want the stage to just open and have fire coming out," OMG Music quotes the 'Whip My Hair' star as saying.
Willow went on to say that country pop star Taylor Swift's arena tour impressed her recently saying:

"And I'm floating on a cloud and lights coming down. She was doing her concert and there was water with words in it. That was so awesome. It was like 'Be Mine'."

Adam Lambert Responds to Teen Mom, Twitter Backlash.

Two simple sentences have landed Adam Lambert in a bit of trouble.

Yesterday Jan 6th, the singer - likely motivated by the recent struggles of Amber Portwood - Tweeted that Teen Mom is depressing to watch. "This Teen Mom show on MTV is so depressing. I know it's "real life" but shouldn't there be programming that inspires kids to shoot higher? #glorifyingwhitetrash"

Today, he was took to the social network again in response to the reaction of some of his followers, many of whom apparently took issue with Lambert's stance. He wrote:

Exclusive: Christina Aguilera To Sing National Anthem @ Super Bowl XLV

From “Bionic” to “Burlesque” to Bowl. Multiple sources have told HitFix that Christina Aguilera will be singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV, hosted at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas on Feb. 6.

The FOX broadcast lists a 6:25 p.m. kickoff, which would put the pop superstar and Grammy Award winner on the field singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" shortly before the AFC and NFC champions roll out.

A spokesperson from NFL had “no comment” on Aguilera’s participation, and added ‘When we have something to announce, we will announce it.” The Black Eyed Peas are on tap as the halftime performers this year and are currently the only NFL-confirmed gameday entertainment.

Aguilera previously performed at Super Bowl XXXIV back in 2000, sharing the national stage with artists like Enrique Iglesias and Phil Collins during the halftime show. Carrie Underwood sang the National Anthem last year.

As previously reported, Aguilera had postponed her 2010 summer tour to focus on commitments surrounding the release of her latest album “Bionic” and the promotional efforts behind recently released film “Burlesque.” Live Nation and her website said that the singer would be rescheduling those stops in 2011. She currently has no tour dates listed.

Shonda Rhimes: 'Off the Map' is not 'Grey's' in the jungle

With Shonda Rhimes unleashing another ensemble medical drama staffed by hotties into ABC primetime, critics at press tour want to know: How is her latest production, Off the Map, not just Grey’s Anatomy in the jungle? (Or, as Ken Tucker dubs it, “Grey’s Anatomy with flies”). “Because it’s not,” insists Rhimes, who then passes the baton to the series creator and showrunner Jenna Bans. “It’s really Jenna’s characters and I’m just lucky enough to get a part of it.”

American Apparel Makes Pubic Hair The Focal Point Of New Ad

We probably should have seen this coming. But despite taking a slight tack to the more conservative by forgoing models for hand-drawn images in their last round of ads, American Apparel is back doing with they do best: conflating hyper-sexualized imagery for marketable “edginess” — in this case, by showing a model’s pubic hair.

Showtime Passes on 'The Kennedys'

Showtime has decided not to pick up the controversial miniseries The Kennedys, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

“Although The Kennedys is well-produced, well-acted and a quality piece of work, it doesn’t fit the Showtime programming brand,” a rep for the network tells THR in a statement.

The decision is a setback for producers of the eight-part miniseries, which was abruptly pulled from the History Channel network on Jan. 8 in advance of a planned airdate in the spring.

In yanking the project, executives at A&E Television Networks, parent of History, have allowed producers Muse Entertainment and Asylum Entertainment to shop the project to other U.S. networks. (It will air as planned in other countries.)

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Goof on Alien Spoof 'Paul'

If E.T. had sex with Starman on a Road Trip, its silly alien lovechild would be Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s cornball comedy Paul, touching down March 18.

“We spit-balled this ridiculous idea, and then like seven, eight years later we shot it,” Pegg and Frost explained in a goofy back-and-forth with Wired.com, viewable above.

Judging by that backstory, the comedy won’t hew too closely to the gory hilarity of Pegg and Frost’s zombie spoof, Shaun of the Dead. But the movie does boast the mallrat-friendly Green Hornet Seth Rogen as the film’s frat-boyish alien Paul, a casting choice made by Universal after Frost and Pegg asked for a cranky old man like Rip Torn.

“Seth’s young, he’s very popular, very hot right now,” Pegg said. “But he also has the voice of an old man.”

Can Paul carve out a niche in the strangely skinny alien-spoof genre, which is still accidentally lorded over by John Travolta’s Scientology-fi tragicomedy Battlefield Earth?

Kevin James' Wife is Expecting Their Third Child

Hollywood's baby boom is going strong!

Six days after Kevin James' wife, Steffiana de la Cruz, bared her bump at the Chicago premiere of The Dilemma Thursday, the actor confirmed on the Today show that they have another baby "on the way."

The twosome, who wed in 2004, already have two tots at home: daughters Sienna-Marie, 5, and Shea, 3.

James, 45, admits that fatherhood has gotten easier for him.

"You kinda loosen up with the second child a little bit, which is nice," he has said. "The first child, I remember they just give it to you at the hospital, you’re supposed to put her in the carseat and drive home.... I was 10-2 on the wheel in the right lane 30 miles an hour on the highway with the flashers going. Second kid, I had the top down. I was steering with my knees."

new nicki minaj, y/n?

“She’s 15?" is the typical reaction that Reema Major’s performances create, and it was certainly the first thing that I thought to myself, as I documented her last performance (for Hip-Hop Canada).

Toronto’s Hip-Hop culture and community never ceases to amaze me, and Reema Major is a strong example of the technical versatility and multiculturalism that defines the revolutionary and diverse Hip-Hop community that I have had the honor of documenting since 2007 (specifically for my photographic essay on the city’s Hip-Hop scene — “Project T Dot”).

At 15 years of age, Reema is a true master of ceremonies, and she possesses the ability to command, energize, captivate, and entertain a crowd, unlike any other teenage Hip-Hop recording artist that I have ever come across (along with Diggy Simmons, who is also 15 years old).

Off-stage, she is seemingly a mature and confident teenager, but on-stage, it’s a different story — her stage presence is impressive, and she could easily pass for 22 years of age, and the countless hours that she has invested into her craft become obvious to all those around her.

Because she has recently been signed to Universal Music and Interscope Records, and also due to the fact that she was the only Canadian, and the youngest MC in this year’s BET Awards Cypher, it’s safe for me to say that Reema Major is ahead of her time, and has the raw talent, drive, focus, commitment and intuition needed for stardom.

John Lennon's Ferrari for sale

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Singer John Lennon's first car, a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Coupe, is up for auction. The car has an estimated value of $155,000 to $220,000.

The car will be sold in Paris on February 5 by the British auction firm of Bonhams.
According to the classic car pricing Web site Nadaquides.com, a car like Lennon's would ordinarily be worth about $60,000 to $109,000, depending on condition and options.

Lennon got his first driver's license in 1965, by which time he and his band, the Beatles, were world famous. In passing his driving test, Lennon made national headlines. Within hours, high-end luxury car dealers were jamming the streets outside Lennon's Weybridge, England, with cars including Jaguars, Maseratis and Aston Martins, according to Bonhams. Lennon chose the Ferrari.

Lennon's first car should sell for considerably more than his last car.

Lennon's last car, a 1972 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon used in New York City, was sold recently by Braswell Galleries of Connecticut for just $5,500, according to the firm's Web site. The car was said to be Lennon's favorite because it allowed him to travel largely unrecognized.

In that case, Lennon's use of the car apparently didn't count for much, since that's roughly the value of anyone's 1972 Chrysler wagon, according to Nadaguides.com.
