Warner Bros. has evidently found 17 minutes of lost footage from Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi classic "2001: A Space Odyssey" in a Kansas salt-mine vault

Douglas Trumbull (the film's special photographic effects supervisor) revealed the exciting news at a recent screening of "2001" in Toronto. Trumbull said he wasn't sure what the studio plans to do with the footage, which was found in pristine, "perfectly preserved" condition and is considered an important piece of movie history.

According to its IMDB page, "2001's" original running time was 160 minutes when it debuted in 1968. Kubrick subsequently removed 19 minutes, and it's presumed that this was the footage that was discovered in Kansas.

Kubrick reportedly cut the footage from "2001" because he felt it created pacing issues. The footage includes some additional footage of the "Dawn of Man" sequence, a scene in which Dave Bowman (Keir Dullea) searched for a replacement antenna part in storage, a scene where HAL severs radio communication between the "Discovery" and Frank Poole's (Gary Lockwood) pod, as well as shots of Poole's space walk before he is killed.

Trumbull and David Larson have spent years working on the documentary "2001: Beyond the Infinite -- The Making of a Masterpiece," which the studio has reportedly decided against moving forward with due to rights issues and other financial concerns.

Trumbull's presentation featured never-before-seen images that will be included in his and Larson's upcoming behind-the-scenes photo book, though it's unclear if those images were from the found footage or not.

omg omg omg...!!!! and lol at everyone saying this is boring. get an attention span... Kubrick > You.
Mary-Kate: Smile

Smile that shows it IS magic for Take That's Mark Owen and wife Emma

Mark Owen and wife Emma 's marriage is clearly back on track as they enjoyed a night out with friends at restaurant Zuma in London. A glamorous Emma showed off newly blonde hair and wore a slick of red lipstick as she enjoyed date night with her husband.

After what was surely an annus horribilus for Take That star Mark Owen and his wife Emma, the pair's marriage which was rocked by affair revelations looks to be firmly back on track.

Owen, 38, admitted to 'maybe 10 affairs' behind the back of wife Emma, 33, during their five-year relationship, after checking into rehab to fight his addiction to alcohol.

But now it seems all that is a distant memory as the star was all smiles with wife Emma as they left a restaurant in South West London.

LA Times - What's the most under-appreciated movie of 2010?

The Golden Globes' denial of any nominations for "True Grit" this week had a number of readers writing in about the unfairness of that awards show, which in turn got us thinking about snubs, and buzz, and quality and other issues that bubble up at this time of year.

In this age of hype, a lot of films are overpraised, but almost as many get lost in the shuffle. We took an informal poll around the office about 2010 gems that somehow never managed to get their due and came up with an interesting mix of films.

Steve Martin has posted a series of jokes on Twitter while supposedly on jury duty.

The comedian began posting regular updates under the tagline "REPORT FROM JURY DUTY (sic)" on Monday, causing a large number of concerned followers to point out that the actor's comments could land him in trouble.

On Monday, Martin wrote: "REPORT FROM JURY DUTY: defendant looks like a murderer. GUILTY. Waiting for opening remarks," before adding: "REPORT FROM JURY DUTY: guy I thought was up for murder turns out to be defence attorney. I bet he murdered someone anyway."
Later posts included: "REPORT FROM JURY DUTY: Prosecuting attorney. Don't like his accent. Serbian? Going with INNOCENT. We're five minutes in," as well as: "REPORT FROM JURY DUTY: Now forcing my autograph on other jurors. Also starting whisper campaign of innocence based on Magic 8 Ball."

Martin's spokesperson confirmed to Reuters that the star is indeed on jury duty at an unnamed court, but that he is still awaiting selection and that his comments are not based on a real trial.

"He is not actually tweeting during a trial but is on jury duty," the rep said. "He's making jokes that are really funny, nothing actually factual though."

The spokesperson also revealed that Martin has not yet been "kicked out" of the jury pool.

In an exclusive interview, Timothy said his marriage to Dawn was like being married to a "monster."

"I remember getting into a confrontation one evening and she started tearing the house up. I had to restrain her," Tim tells us in a painful interview. "Then I had to file a restraining order after that to have her removed from the property."

Tim says this was just one of many of Dawn's physical and verbal abusive tirades.

Every Celebrity Will Be at Bill Clinton's Birthday Party

As the only former president who's also nasty on the saxophone, it should come as no surprise that Bill Clinton knows how to throw a good party! Life & Style's Scene Queens have learned that for his 65th birthday next year, he's planning a special concert at Staples Center in LA, which can hold up to 20,000 people, and every A-lister in town will be scrambling to get an invite.

"He's lining up some of the biggest artists in the world to help celebrate his birthday," an insider tells the Scene Queens. "His camp is in talks with Paul McCartney, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen."

And Bill, whose birthday is Aug. 19, isn't having just one party to celebrate the milestone: "Apart from the main concert, which will be at Staples Center in LA, Bill's going to have a ton of other events and parties surrounding his big day," says the spy. If you manage to snag an invite, expect to see a ton of celebs. "Bill's always loved meeting stars. He loves the idea of throwing a huge event for his 65th birthday and inviting all his friends, famous or not." Adds a friend of Bill's, "His party will be the best event of next year; he'll make sure of it."

Can Stiller keep this Focking franchise going?

Fockers, fockers, fockers. Meet the Fockers. Little Fockers.

There’s something about the name …

“The original success of the ‘Focker’ movie was in part because the filmmakers were able to put the ‘F-word’ in their title and get away with it,” said David Schmoeller, associate professor in film at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. “The audience loved them for that. And that is no small matter.”

The first film in the series was titled simply, “Meet the Parents,” although the Focker name became such a major selling point that the second was dubbed, “Meet the Fockers.” But it’s clear that one individual has become synonymous with that faux expletive. That would be Ben Stiller, arguably the biggest Focker of them all.

The third installment of the “Focker” series opens Dec. 22. It’s titled “Little Fockers,” and it boasts a bevy of stars, including regulars Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson, plus newcomers Jessica Alba, Harvey Keitel and Laura Dern.

Yet if Focker has a face, it’s Stiller. He is the star of the franchise, and if an entry in the series sails or fails, he’s the Focker of record. “Meet the Fockers” received mostly negative reviews — 38 percent on — the most common complaint being that gags were recycled from the original.

Chloe Sevigny Disses Peaches Geldof; Knows Nothing About Edie Sedgwick

Chloë Sevigny is the subject of January's twenty-questions feature in Playboy. She's a noted fashion plate, and the Times credited the woman with making the Elaine Benes look fashionable in a story Sevigny even offered comment for. Apparently, even though she submitted to that interrogation, she was probably annoyed by it.

PLAYBOY: In a 1994 Jay McInerney New Yorker article you were crowned the “It girl” and “the coolest girl in the world.” Did having style help or hurt?

SEVIGNY: I guess it helped more than anything else. I’m glad I grew up during the last vestige of cool, in the 1990s, when everything wasn’t blogged and on the Interwebs, when things were more on the downlow and underground. I guess I am stylish, but I would rather have people come up and say “I really liked your performance in this or that” than “I really like the way you dress.” That irks me. Anyway, the term It girl gets used too loosely.

PLAYBOY: How do you mean?

SEVIGNY: Today the term is used to describe, say, Peaches Geldof—a girl who doesn’t do anything but is just sort of around. The original It girl was the 1920s movie star Clara Bow; then, in the 1960s, with Edie Sedgwick and Warhol, It girls turned into socialites, ladies of leisure—people who had “it” just for being “fabulous.” But Edie was just a rich drug addict, and when I got called the It girl everyone thought I was that too. I looked like a junkie because it was the 1990s and grunge was the fashion. But I felt I was doing stuff, not just being a socialite.

Sevigny admits that she has done drugs, but notes in the interview, "I don’t think I ever bought anything; it was just sort of there."

"I'm just being Miley!" Osbourne's caption read.

On Tuesday, Osbourne lashed out at Cyrus' harshest critics, who lambasted the Disney star for a recent bong-smoking video and other antics. "Miley and I have become really close," Osbourne wrote. "I'm sick of all the haters judging her...This really makes me mad. Miley is one of the most hard working respectful women I have ever worked with, I am learning a lot from her!"

Clay Aiken's Boyfriend Naked on Grindr

Last Saturday we got our first look at photos of Clay Aiken and his new love interest Jeff Walters as the couple canoodled together at a Winter festival in Dallas, TX (where Walters lives). Today we get to see a few photos, one that is very NSFW, of Clay‘s new man in all his nekkid glory. As I understand it, Walters posted sexy/nude photos on Grindr (the “social networking” mobile phone app for gay men) to hook up with dudes before he met Clay … and some of those photos are now circulating on the Internets.

You may recall that we got to see a few hot photos from Walters‘s portfolio where he was modeling sexy underwear for 2(x)ist … but none of those photos gave any clue as to what Jeff was hiding inside those undies:

Another Christmas List? Sure.

While A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer bring the classic cheer, sometimes you want a holiday television that's a little less mainstream. From the raunchy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to the heartbreak of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the thrills of Doctor Who, Jace Lacob rounds up the very best nontraditional Christmas episodes to watch this holiday season.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: “A Very Sunny Christmas” (2009)

Last year’s gleefully raunchy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia direct-to-DVD special pushed the envelope of taste when it comes to Christmas specials. Ostensibly about the gang at Paddy’s Pub attempting to enact revenge on Frank (Danny DeVito) for giving himself the gifts that his kids Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) want, it’s really about each of them coming to terms with some highly unpleasant truths about their families’ Christmas traditions. Among the highlights: a sweaty naked Frank is “birthed” through a leather couch, a Claymation segment turns into a bloody massacre, and flashbacks involving Young Charlie (Charlie Day) and Young Mac (Rob McElhenney). Oh and elf genitalia, of course.

Lesbian Pornographer Jincey Lumpkin Finds Success in Realism

Once a high-stakes lawyer, Jincey Lumpkin has recently made a name for herself as a successful lesbian pornographer. “My goal is to show real chemistry,” she tells Itay Hod.

On a Wednesday night in late November, Jincey Lumpkin sits alone in her New York City office. At exactly 9 pm., her Skype shows an incoming call. As she hits the green button, a beautiful woman in her mid-to-late 20s appears on the screen. She has long brown hair, big blue eyes, and a disarming smile. Lumpkin is impressed.

"Wow, you're really cute," Lumpkin exclaims.

The woman says she's calling from her home right outside Los Angeles where she works as a dog groomer by day. She goes by the name of Paxton Lane but she looks more like a Stephanie.

"So how are you?" asks Lumpkin, in an attempt to break the ice.

"I'm great,” says Lane.

Lumpkin then gets down to business. "I guess this is the part where I ask you to take your clothes off,” she says.

Yes, Lumpkin is operating a virtual casting couch for pornographic pictures, but her movies aren't intended for men. They are written, cast, and shot for a lesbian audience turned-off by so-called dyke porn and tired of male ideas about what makes good girl-on-girl action.

“I wanted to show from a mental perspective what turns women on, show their vulnerability,” Lumpkin says.

Which Lesbian Actress Got Pregnant Sleeping with a Man?

1. "C List in film, B in Television actress got pregnant just recently from a one night stand. She is thrilled but also very concerned because her current romantic partner is a woman, not a man."

2. "Fame can be a burden as well as a blessing. This is the case with Blue Boy, a multi-hyphenate who is definitely feeling the pressure of leading a double life. His actress girlfriend is a public relations setup and is purely for show. The two of them don't even like each other. He smiles for the camera, but he is actually so distressed with the direction his career and his life are taking that he is now drinking heavily every day. Blue Boy's friends and family are very, very worried about him, but having so many people depend on his wholesome image makes it difficult for him to take a step back and ask for help. It's about time he did, though. If he doesn't, he'll wind up in the same place as someone who was once linked to him." [clearly Justin Timberlake]

3. "This comedienne and author is sweating the fact that she may have got herpes. Her new boyfriend swore to her he did not have it, but it turns out he does. All she would have to do is check his sex history with just the people known, and she would have seen he is in the herpes chain. Oh, or have protected sex. Not too hard."

Oprah Throws Cold Water on a Palin Presidency

Oprah Winfrey perfectly understands the power—and potential pain—of her name. As a child in Milwaukee she watched Romper Room, whose host, Miss Nancy, peered into her “magic mirror” and greeted her young viewers. “I can see Susie and Jimmy and Bobby,” Miss Nancy might say, eliciting yelps of delight from children at home. Not little Oprah. “I used to stand there in front of the black-and-white Magnavox thinking, Maybe today?” she tells me. She would move from one side of the TV set to the other, “thinking Miss Nancy would see me. Waiting for her to say hello to Oprah. Of course that never happened. She was handed a list of names and saw nobody!” Oprah reminisces slowly, hands tucked protectively under her legs. “I would have to say that my deepest feeling about myself growing up, the word that would best describe how I felt, would be lonely. And alone. It added to that feeling that there’s nobody like me.” She shifts into the present, grinning. “Now,” she adds playfully, “that’s a pretty good feeling!”

Half a century later, isolation is unthinkable. Oprah’s days are nonstop, her success unprecedented: The Oprah Winfrey Show has been the top daytime talk show since its debut in 1986. Starting Jan. 1, she goes 24/7 with the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on cable, reaching nearly 80 million homes on what is now the Discovery Health channel. The programs include familiar faces, new series, and emotional excursions into miracles and family roots. OWN is a 50/50 partnership with Discovery—their idea, their money, her genius, her…well, name. A name that everyone knows today.

Oprah greets me in her living-room-size office at Harpo Studios in Chicago. Dog toys clutter one corner; twin shelves hold 15 shiny Emmys; an elegant curved desk dominates. “I spend more time here than I do at home, so it’s important that it be comfortable,” she says, touching signed books, presidential photos. Most cherished: the snap she took of her columned house on a mountain in Hawaii, framed by double rainbows.

Wearing a navy jogging suit, white T-shirt, and ballet flats—comfort clothes after hours of taping—she’s more girlfriend than chairwoman, quick to giggle and totally focused. She sinks into her couch to discuss her new venture, which she’ll oversee from California after The Oprah Winfrey Show goes off the air in September. But there will still be plenty of Oprah on OWN. She has creative control, which means ultimate responsibility for 1200 hours of original and acquired programming in the first year, plus the burden of delivering her audience—and the entire, magical Oprah brand. An immense challenge, even for a superstar.

Chris Brown Cheers NY Knicks to Victory

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Stepping out for an exciting sports event, Chris Brown was spotted courtside at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday night (December 22).

The “Forever” singer sported big glasses, a winter hat and jeans as he watched his team, the New York Knicks, beat out the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-98.

Though he will most likely never hear the end of his domestic dispute with former girlfriend, Rihanna – Keri Hilson recently came to his defense saying she believes people are putting the incident behind them.

"People are already putting [Brown] back in their good graces 'cause they see his remorse," she said.

The R&B singer added, "You learn from your mistakes, and you don't do it again. You show remorse, and you move on. You move forward onto bigger and better things. That's a man trait."

Jessica Alba likes lube; wanted to quit acting

JESSICA Alba has likened Ben Stiller to a tube of lube!

The actress — who stars alongside Stiller in new comedy movie Little Fockers — says the Hollywood funnyman left an impression on her.

“It was much like lube; slippery and clear and sometimes it smells like strawberries,” says Jessica of working with Ben. It doesn’t get better than that.”

Alba recently revealed she almost quit acting — after being told by a director that she needed to look “prettier” in a scene where she was crying.

“I wanted to stop acting. I hated it. I really hated it,” Alba said of her experience with the director of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Teen Mom Amber Portwood is now trying to claim MTV paid her $1,000 to assault Gary Shirley in front of their daughter to add more drama to the show.

The National Enquirer reports:

But Amber insists the violence was all a ruse and that show execs gave her an extra $1,000 to “get physical” with her ex during filming because they “wanted more drama,” says an insider.

“Amber knows she needs a good defense, and reality show producers are known to stage scenes, so she thinks it’s believable. She says that the producers were concerned because they don’t get much drama from the other moms."

“They told her that she and Gary were the most popular couple on the show and that they would pay her extra to provoke a fight. Amber says Gary didn’t know about it because they wanted a ’spontaneous’ reaction from him.”

Rinko Kikuchi has the sniffles. Clad in corduroy shorts, tights, a Margiela cardigan, boots and a wooly knit cap she appears as diminutive as you anticipate actors to look. That oft-documented discordance of the human looking tiny pitted against the Big-Screen persona. And despite being under the weather, she is also as beautiful as you’d expect, luminous skin, a constellation of freckles skittering across an ineffably pretty nose. But it is, as it so often is with Oscar-nominated actresses, her eyes that are The Big Show.

In 2006, Kikuchi was granted her Academy Award nod in Babel, a movie in which she famously spoke no words. She was then cast in director Rian Johnson’s delightfully bonkers 2008 feature, The Brothers Bloom, an English-speaking role wherein she uttered no more than the onomatopoeia that comprises her character’s name — Bang Bang. The emotive challenges are clear. Performances are made memorable — rendered believable — by dialogue. Actors kill for sweeping exchanges and yet here we have this relative newcomer (though she is renowned in her native Japan and has been working steadily since 1999) and her bright, giant, stirring eyes who routinely steals scenes from megastars such as Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt.

Scariest Christmas Movies

There are so many holiday movies out there, one could conceivably spend the rest of one's life watching them back to back... and it's often tempting to give that a shot. For many -- myself included -- there's nothing better than laughing through the first two hilarious installments of "Home Alone" or sobbing through "It's a Wonderful Life" to snap them into the Christmas spirit.

Not everyone is a sucker for feel-good Christmas movie clichés, however. And once in a blue moon, Hollywood (or a VERY independent film company elsewhere) pops out a Christmas flick that doesn't feature clumsy burglars falling down stairs or James Stewart tearfully embracing his family. I'm talking about scary Christmas movies, or at least holiday movies that are meant to be frightening but come across as comically ridiculous. The seasonal red and green colors take on new meaning when the red is gushing blood and the green is monster skin.

This is a list for those of you who like your cinematic holiday feast served with a side of horror, gore and perhaps some unintentional comedy: the 10 scariest Christmas movies of all time.

10. "Jack Frost" (1997)
Not to be confused with the 1998 family drama starring Michael Keaton as a reincarnated snowman, this "Jack Frost" is about what happens after an accident turns a criminally insane killer into a criminally insane killer snowman. Complete with horrific acting and bizarre one-liners ("Blow me!" or "I think Jack is about to make an entrance"), this Academy Award-snubbed film is sure to take you on an emotional roller coaster.

Abbey Road Crossing Given Listed Status

The Abbey Road zebra crossing in North London, made famous for appearing on a Beatles album cover, has been granted Grade II listed status, reports BBC News. The crossing was used as the iconic cover shot photographed by IAN MACMILLAN for the band's 1969 record, also named 'Abbey Road'.

The crossing is the first of its kind to be given listed status and is being recognised for its "cultural and historical importance", following advice from the English Heritage. The site is a huge pull for tourists to the city of London and for fans of band, and although the crossing was moved 30 years ago for traffic management reasons, it still retains its historical importance. JOHN PENROSE, Minister for Tourism and Heritage, said: "This London zebra crossing is no castle or cathedral but, thanks to the Beatles and a 10-minute photo-shoot one August morning in 1969, it has just as strong a claim as any to be seen as part of our heritage". Beatles founder Paul Mccartney said the decision was the "icing on the cake" in a great year.

The news comes after Abbey Road studios itself was awarded Grade II listed status back in February 2010. The status means that a building or monument is recognised as nationally important and of special interest.

Anyone actually been there and had a picture of themelves taken walking across it? Do the people who live in the area find that annoying?

The Box Office So Far

Reviews be damned, America still hasn't had enough of the "Fockers."  The third installment of the "Meet the Parents" franchise grossed $7.2 million on Wednesday which was a strong, but not spectacular start compared to "Meet the Fockers" $12.1 million opener six years ago.  Still, the "Fockers" should ring up between $60-70 million dominating the five-day holiday frame.

Also opening well -- and with much better notices -- was the Coen bros.' new adaptation of "True Grit."  The Western found $5.5 million and is expected to do between $20-25 million Wednesday through Sunday.  Word of mouth could push it higher, but Christmas Eve is traditionally a very slow box office day.  Thursday and Saturday's numbers will tell the tale for this one.

The only other wide release debut over the weekend is "Gulliver's Travels" which opens on Saturday.  "The King's Speech" and "Black Swan" will also expand to 700 and 1,472screens respectively on Christmas day.  "Tron Legacy," which has made $56.4 million in its first six days, will also be a major player.

Alexander Hernandez, 19, and Santos Padilla, 21, were apprehended after security guards called police about a suspicious car in the driveway. Police said the pair had scaled a fence and entered through an unlocked door.

Both suspects were charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and possession of marijuana and are being held on $50,000 bail each.

First trailer for Kevin Smith's "Red State"

Leaked during a Smodcast, here's the new trailer for Kevin Smith's horror film debut "Red State". Looks like quite the departure from Smith's still-camera comedy forté.  The film represents a return to Smith's indie roots and steps outside his traditional comedy work, delving into the horror genre with his take on extreme fundamentalism in Middle America.

Starring Michael Angarano, Kyle Gallner, Stephen Root, Melissa Leo, Michael Parks, John Goodman, Ralph Garman and Nicholas Braun, Red State will premiere at Sundance on January 23rd while the teaser lists a March release.

'Despicable Me' Makes $25 Million in Sales on First Day

Fueled by a strong out-of-the-gate performance, Universal Studios Home Entertainment’s Despicable Me easily topped the national home video sales charts its first week in stores.

The animated hit generated $25 million in revenue on Dec. 14, its first day of release, according to Universal. That figure takes into account Blu-ray Disc and DVD sales as well as digital downloads.

Despicable Me bumped the previous week’s top seller, Warner’s Inception, to No. 2 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and the research house’s dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart. Despicable Me generated 29% of its first-week unit sales from the Blu-ray Disc edition, a high percentage for a family title.

Three other new releases with significant theatrical tracks records came out last week. 20th Century Fox’s The A-Team, a remake of the 1980s TV show that grossed $77.2 million in U.S. theaters, debuted at No. 4 on First Alert, right behind Summit’s Eclipse, and No. 3 on the Blu-ray Disc sales chart. Sony Pictures’ The Other Guys, the latest Will Ferrell comedy, bowed at No. 5 on First Alert and No. 4 on the Blu-ray Disc chart. And Warner’s The Town, a crime drama starring Ben Affleck that grossed $91.9 million in theaters, debuted at No. 8 on First Alert and No. 5 on the Blu-ray Disc chart.

this is a post about INTERVENTION

Talking to Dan Partland -- one of the producers of 'Intervention' -- last week, I told him I was a fan of the show. But that's not really the right word. I enjoy watching 'Intervention' about as much as I would enjoy being put through my top-loading washing machine, yet I continue to do it.

I do it for all the reasons that critics have cited over the show's eight seasons -- because it's moving, terrifying, hopeful and voyeuristic. Some critics think it's exploitative, that it serves to titillate the audience with scenes of depravity. Others praise it for its sympathetic depiction of the addicts and their families. Whichever side you take, there's no denying that 'Intervention' is one of the few television shows that increases our knowledge of the world.

I spoke with Partland about where they find their addicts, how they're prevented from discovering they're on 'Intervention,' and what's up with the lights during the opening sequence. I found out that the show is just as intense behind the scenes as it is on screen, and the professionalism of the whole process is guaranteed. That might alleviate some guilt next time I sit down to watch.

How do you find the people you feature on the show? Do they mostly come to you through their families, or are you actively seeking people out?
We do a very small amount of outreach, but that's really just to get into interesting or unusual addictions, or populations that we don't get a lot of submissions from. I would say 95 percent of the stories that we do on 'Intervention' are families submitting themselves to our website.

A Baby Rihanna Post

In a recent interview with Style magazine, it was revealed that Willow doesn't have any set rules to live by. “We don’t have rules,"  said her mother Jada Pinkett Smith. "We come up with agreements. Kids are little people, and we’re in life to guide them. Trying to rule someone is always an illusion and it’s no different with children.”

Willow's wardrobe during this photoshoot consisted of a mixture of school girl styles and classic hip hop, and of course her shoes were a highlight, which added a modern day, custom twist to a pair of vintage adidas.

Nirvana's remaining members reunite at "secret" Foo Fighters show

According to a report by Spin Magazine, the surviving members of Nirvana regrouped for the first time in more than a decade at a "secret" Foo Fighters show in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Of course, being that Nirvana was officially just a trio, all that means is that Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl (pictured) was joined by original Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic. However, the duo were also joined by Nirvana's touring guitarist Pat Smear. Grohl, who sings and plays guitar for the Foos, played drums for Nirvana. The hugely influential group disbanded in 1994 following leader Kurt Cobain's suicide.

To those paying close attention, Tuesday night's reunion, while unexpected, should come as little surprise -- it's been widely reported that Grohl recently employed his old bassist's services for a track which will appear on the new, forthcoming Foo Fighters album. That album, incidentally, is also being produced by Butch Vig, who masterminded Nirvana's 1991 seminal breakthrough, 'Nevermind.'

While the Foo Fighters used the intimate show to showcase some of their new material, the short Nirvana segment saw Novoselic and Smear join Grohl on stage to perform 'Marigold' -- originally a b-side for the hit single 'Heart Shaped Box,' it's the only original composition that Grohl contributed to Nirvana. While many celebrities were allegedly spotted in the audience, we're guessing that Courtney Love was not one of them.

Miley's friends parody her salvia smoking drama

This is kind of sad.. the party people who apparently were at the scene of the salvia video return to the same exact room where they filmed a parody of Miley Cyrus‘ little salvia incident.

We’re really surprised someone would have enough guts and hatred towards Miley to actually do this.. people really have nothing better to do, huh? Either Miley really, really did something nasty to them in order to get back at her at this level or they got a really, really nice check.

We think the entire world needs to get over this whole dilemma.. Miley is 18-years-old, savia is legal, she’s a teenager (destined to experiment with stupid things), and it’s not the end of the world! We get it.. she’s an icon for tweens all over the world, but everyone makes mistakes?! It’s time to close this little chapter in the book of Milerz and move on!
P.S. — We think Miley needs to make better choices as to who she hangs out with.. and for one, don’t let people record you when you’re doing something stupid, life lesson #1.

It's pretty obvious that this was leaked purposely, why else would their faces be obscured if they didn't intend to mock her publicly without being identified? Yes Miley did a stupid thing and she's annoying but after watching this video i feel just a little sorry for her.

EDIT: This video was posted by another user, the bitch in the video not only thanks the media outlets that posted this story but then tries to cover her ass, ENEMY NUMBER ONE

“The Dirty Girls Social Club” Author Alleges Racist TV Adaptation Of Her Book

Most authors would die to see their book made into a movie or TV show. But not Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez — not anymore. The author of The Dirty Girls Social Club got hold of a script based on her book and was shocked to see that 1) all the black characters were removed and changed to be of other races, and 2) all the Latina characters are sexually promiscuous, even described as “sizzling.” Seeing The Dirty Girls Social Club adapted on TV, she said, now “holds zero appeal for me.”

“The Dirty Girls Social Club,” in development with NBC, will be written by Luisa Leschin for Ann Lopez’s Encanto Productions (also known as Ann Serrano, as she is splitting from comedian George Lopez). Over a year ago, Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez optioned the rights for her book to Lopez, who, with Alisa’s help, got a development deal with NBC. But the script adaptation she covertly saw when a “no one” within the company leaked it to her was so racist, sexist and overall offensive that Alisa wrote on her blog today, “I’d rather no show get made than to have my name attached to Luisa’s bastardizations.”

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez has written about what happened in at least two posts so far: “Afro-dectimies And Other Hollywood Secrets” and “Every Latina A Slut And Other Hollywood Secrets Revealed.”

She describes how she wanted to write the script herself, but claims Ann Lopez insisted on a screenwriter — Leschin, who is a friend of hers. Writes Alisa:

'16 and Pregnant' and 'Teen Mom' Lower U.S. Teen Birth Rate

For years, MTV has made a living, its detractors would say, peddling rock-star debauchery to wide-eyed teenagers.

But according to a new government study that shows the US teen birthrate falling dramatically in 2009 after a five percent increase from 2005 to 2007.

Spanish-Language Show Tops CBS, NBC in Key Ratings Demo
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Of Univision's "Soy Tu Dueña’s" 5.8 million viewers, 3.7 million were in the 18 to 49 demo -- beating "NCIS: L.A." and a "Saturday Night Live" special.

The no. 1 show on television Tuesday night among the key 18 to 49 demographic was Univision’s Spanish-language telenovela Soy Tu Dueña, according to Nielsen numbers.

Underscoring the growing influence of the Hispanic viewer, the show beat out Fox's Million Dollar Money Drop and reruns of ABC's No Ordinary Family, CBS' NCIS: L.A., NBC's Saturday Night Live: A Very Gilly Christmas and CW's Life Unexpected in the demo, which advertisers pay a premium to reach.

A Little More Info About 'Spider-Man' From Andrew Garfield

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

During an interview, the actor tells a bit more about his shooting schedule and what it's like taking on the role of such an iconic Marvel character.

"I mean 'The Social Network' took four months to shoot and I was kind of in and out, not in there every single day. But with this I think I'm going to have to hibernate in this character for about four or five months... I feel like a kid in my pajamas. I can only say how it feels and it feels pretty special. I must say it's a dream realized and a fantasy realized. Again, I don't take it lightly and I feel very, very lucky that I get to wear spandex for the next few months."

When he was asked about whether or not he was getting super buffed up for the role, he had this to say:

"Strength. I think Spider-Man needs strength, and Peter Parker is still a teenager, you know. And that's a very tender balance to figure out. It's very specific what we're trying to achieve in terms of body type and the feeling of that, rest assured there's a lot of people who are helping me with it and I have no discipline in that. My father's a swimming coach and I kind of rebelled against that very early on. So any form of physical discipline has to be really cracked in a really smart way."

Well hopefully we'll get more of a semi-buff Spider-Man than a super-slim looking dude. Maybe we'll get images soon since they have been filming for a couple of weeks, despite the fact that they've stopped shooting for the break until the start of the new year.

"Spider-Man" is directed by Marc Webb and is expected to swing it's way into theaters on the summer of 2012.

I'm only watching this for him <3. And I respectfully request an Andrew Garfield tag.

goddamnit, fine. I changed the picture.

Justin Bieber Calls Selena Gomez 'An Amazing Person'

As the debate among teen girls rages on about whether Justin Bieber is dating his tourmate, Disney princess Selena Gomez, the megastar teen is confident about one thing: Gomez's awesomeness.

MTV News caught up with the 16-year-old sensation as he got the word out about his holiday toy-collecting campaign, "Stuff Bieber's Bus," in Atlanta on Thursday (December 23), and while he didn't suggest that the two were more than friends, he did gush a little bit about the "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress.

"She's really cool," Bieber said. "She's an amazing person."

The "Baby" singer also commented about the nonstop fan frenzy and media mania that accompany any rumors about who the Biebs is or is not dating, and said that despite his outsize fame, he plans to keep his private life private.

"I think that people are always gonna be interested in my personal life ... but I gotta keep some things to myself," he said of the constant buzz surrounding his relationship with Gomez. "I'm just having fun being a teenager."

Speculation that the fresh-faced duo are more than friends has ramped up ever since the two were spotted hanging out and getting pancakes arm-in-arm. However, Gomez has batted away rumors that she and the "Somebody to Love" crooner are anything more than buddies who occasionally enjoy getting a bite to eat.

"It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes?" Gomez told MTV News earlier this month.

Gomez has also talked about her "brotherly" relationship with Bieber, saying that she tries to keep an eye out for him as he continues to skyrocket toward megastardom.

"I love Justin. When he first started to come over from Canada, his manager contacted me and he just said that he would like to meet me and he was just such a good kid," she told MTV News in February.
"And I feel like a big sister now, 'cause I want to protect him. So I'm always very cautious with him, but he is so talented and he's so sweet, so that just started us wanting to work together. Now he's just become one of my good friends."

Kevin Costner To Star In Kazakh Historical Epic?

Hold back your snickers, people. Nothing about this next story is supposed to be funny. Word on the street is that Kevin Costner is in negotiations to star in a new Kazakhstani film. The still untitled picture is an epic, historical drama following the foundation of the Asian state and its numerous altercations with the dreaded Mongols. No, Borat Sagdiyev will not be involved, though acclaimed filmmaker Akan Satayev is. You probably don’t know him, but his newest effort Strayed is getting quite a bit of buzz.

According to The Playlist, no third parties have confirmed Costner’s potentially involvement; so, as of now, it should be treated as nothing more than wishful thinking. When Martin Scorsese lets you know someone is going to be involved in his next film, you write a news story on it. When random Kazakh filmmakers tell you the same, you overtly advise readers to treat the story as a rumor. Not to say I don’t trust Akan Satayev’s reliability, it’s just hard to buy into Kevin Costner flying to Kazakhstan to film a movie without hearing from the actor himself.

Christina Hendricks: I'd 'love' to play Wonder Woman

If Christina Hendricks has her way, she'll be ditching those form-fitting "Mad Men" dresses in favor of a skimpy one-piece.

The flame-haired actress says her dream is to play Wonder Woman.

As Marquee previously reported, the Amazing Amazon (famously portrayed by Lynda Carter in the 1970s TV series) is headed back to the small screen, and 35-year-old Hendricks is among the favorites that fans want to fill the role – not to mention the red-and-gold bustier and blue short-shorts with white stars.

For her part, curvaceous Hendricks – best known as Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce's sexy Joan Harris – says she would be honored to sport the superhero suit.

"I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life!" she gushed to TV host Rachael Ray on the December 21 episode. "I'd love to [do it]. That would be such fun! Let's put it out there!"

so all you've done is proved to them that I'm a meaningless secretary and you're another humorless bitch.
