Headline-making 'Teen Mom' star Amber Portwood made a dramatic gesture last week by getting an enormous portrait of her 2-year-old daughter Leah tattooed on her torso. But with all that ink barely dry, friends tell me she's already regretting it!
"Amber wanted to prove that she never wanted to lose custody of her daughter again, but had no idea how painful and sore she would be," an insider tells me. "Now she is having to sleep on her back or right-hand side and can't take it anymore."
Amber's life has been a roller coaster since appearing on the ginormous MTV show. The 20-year-old mother has been charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her baby's father, Gary Shirley, and even lost custody of her baby for a while after The Department of Child Protective Services placed Leah with her father until Amber purchased her a proper bed.
"In that moment it seemed like a great idea to get a tattoo and show the entire world how much she loved Leah, but now it doesn't seem like such a great decision," a friend of Amber's tells me. "When the pain goes away Amber will be left with a massive picture of a baby's face on her stomach."
Now that it's mentioned, that will be a pretty awkward moment when some guy she's dating looks down at her stomach and sees a little girl staring back at him! Talk about a mood killer!

Her total haul — $350 — was impressive. Many teenage girls would head straight to the mall and spend the dough on lip gloss, an iPod or a new wardrobe from Forever 21. Not Steinfeld.
"I matched it and donated it all to an Alzheimer's foundation," she said, beaming proudly.
It's exactly the kind of brassy initiative, imbued with moral rectitude, that one might expect from a modern-day Mattie Ross, the willful girl at the center of "True Grit" who hires crabby, often intoxicated lawman Rooster Cogburn ( Jeff Bridges) to find and kill the fugitive who shot her father to death. And it might help explain how the precocious Steinfeld beat 15,000 other young hopefuls for the role — despite having never acted in a film before.

We've reached the end of yet another unforgettable year of movies. Not only did this years movies push boundaries even further, they did so with impeccable risks. In a time of recession and playing-it-safe, films like Inception and The Social Network still found a great audience. But smaller films also, like Blue Valentine, Splice, Buried and Breaking Upwards found a loving audience. It's crazy to think that all these films came out in one year, and so I tried my best do give them each a moment of glory.

Lindsay Lohan has been moved to a new location after a clash with a Betty Ford Center staffer who tried to reprimand the Mean Girls "star" after she returned late to the sober house one night, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
While some reports had suggested Lohan was moved back to the center's main treatment facility amid fears for her safety, the real reason behind the sudden transition was a major blow-up with a staff member, believed to be a resident technician.
"Lindsay was moved to another property owned by the Betty Ford Center in order to preserve her safety, yes, but also to deal with any differences she might have had with anyone in that house," said a source, familiar with the 24-year-old's treatment.
The clash occurred in the wake of a booze fueled party which was supposedly hosted by Lohan's roommates over a week ago.

FCC Gives Government Power to Regulate Web Traffic
WASHINGTON—Federal telecommunications regulators approved new rules Tuesday that would for the first time give the federal government formal authority to regulate Internet traffic, although how much or for how long remained unclear.
A divided Federal Communications Commission approved a proposal by Chairman Julius Genachowski to give the FCC power to prevent broadband providers from selectively blocking web traffic.
The rules will go into effect early next year, but legal challenges or action by Congress could block the FCC's action. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) on Tuesday called the FCC's action "flawed" and said lawmakers would "have an opportunity in the new Congress to push back against new rules and regulations."

okay, so apparently this is still confusing so let me try to break it down:
-the FCC said that companies aren't allowed to block access to websites, YAAAAY!
-but the new rules they introduced have huge loopholes that open the way for tiered internet, which is depicted in the graphic below, to be ushered in. FFFFFUUUU---
-real net neutrality is good because it means that all internet content is treated equally. the FCC's definition of net neutrality isn't ACTUALLY real net neutrality, and is bad

Student Bodies was the best-worst show on YTV (next to S Club 7, of course). I realize that Student Bodies may be a little esoteric to some of you; where Breaker High was passable as a US show, Student Bodies was straight-up Canadian. Many elements plagued the show's reputation as a piss-poor Canadian high school serial: limited locations, poorly-constructed sets, one-dimensional acting, obvious low budget, recycled scripts and plotlines. And yet? Holy shit, it was the best show on television. Just take a look at the main title sequence:
Everyone you knew watched Student Bodies. They may not have admitted it, but I can promise you that if I stood in a room full of 25 to 28-year-olds and yelled "STOO-DANT BAWWWWWDAYS!" I can be damn sure they would yell back "ITS NOT REAL LIFE ITS HIGH SCHOOL!!!" Okay, so are we ready to take a trip back to the late-90s and see what the students of Thomas A. Edison High are doing now? Some will surprise you!

Freezing cold temperatures plus black tie events equal thigh-high slits in gowns. At least, that seems to be the trend recently. In addition to being a very sultry look, it is also smart. A slit in a dress that reaches the thigh is a great way to show a little skin, even if the fabric of the dress is heavy and warm. These dresses may or may not show off the decolletage and bust. It really depends on how va-va-voom the lady wearing the dress wants to look. But even the most conservative of tops can look glamorous, even downright sexy if the bottom portion of the dress allows for a flash of thigh.
In recent days, stars Victoria Beckham, Carrie Underwood, and Angelia Jolie have all stepped out on the town wearing variations on this silhouette. And each one of them wore one of the key colors of holiday glam: black, red, and ivory. Victoria Beckham was the lady in black, wearing a dress that she designed herself. It was a column of ebony, gathered in the front, with a very daring slit to show off her gams. Carrie Underwood was the dame in damask. Unlike Victoria, she did not design her own dress but, instead, relied on the talents of Georges Chakra. And Miss Jolie wore a gorgeous ivory dress from Atelier Versace, a decidedly winter gown with long sleeves and a wrap waist.
For those who are looking to replicate this look at upcoming holiday parties, it is important to remember a few things when shopping. One of the first things to remember is that fabric counts. The warmer the fabric is, the warmer you will be. Another thing to remember is that, even though the slit of the dress may be rather high, you can keep warm en route to the party by wearing a long coat that covers the legs.

This morning, around 3 a.m. E.S.T., much of North America dragged themselves out of bed to glimpse a terribly inconvenient lunar eclipse.
By all accounts, the moon appeared round, and the sky dark. To be fair: our dispassionate recapitulation of today’s celestial phenomenon does not reflect the fervor expressed on Twitter and in the nation’s newspapers for the lunar eclipse.
It’s an excitement and intensity that, in our opinion, appears to be completely independent of the quality of the spectacle itself.
In fact, the incessant frenzy recalls the fanaticism surrounding the year’s other significant eclipse: the third installation of the Twilight movie series.
See if you can tell whether each viewer comment describes the lunar eclipse or Twilight: Eclipse.
Four of this season’s biggest Academy Award favorites will not be eligible to compete for the Best Original Score Oscar, according to Variety. Clint Mansell’s Black Swan score has been deemed too reliant on Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, and Carter Burwell’s music for the Coen brothers’ True Grit incorporates too many traditional 19th-century hymns to qualify as original. Scores for The Fighter and The Kids Are All Right are also expected to be disqualified since they are “diminished in impact by the predominant use of songs.”

Following the injury of actor Christopher Tierney at the Dec. 20 performance of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, safety inspectors from the New York State Department of Labor will visit the Foxwoods Theatre Dec. 21, according to the New York Times.
The inspectors, according to the New York daily, will examine the equipment that appeared to malfunction at the Dec. 20 preview.
Leo Rosales, a spokesperson for the Department of Labor, told the Times, "We’ll be talking to the production team, checking the harnesses, cables, and other equipment, and trying to determine what happened, and we’ll have more information after that."
On Nov. 26 the New York State Department of Labor's safety inspectors had approved all 27 flying sequences in the new musical.
In addition to Tierney, actress Natalie Mendoza suffered a concussion during the first preview of the musical. And, prior to the commencement of performances, two actors were injured attempting stunts: One actor broke both his wrists, the other both his feet.
Actors' Equity issued a second, stronger statement at 11:29 AM Dec. 21: "Actors' Equity Association is working with management and the Department of Labor to ensure that performances will not resume until back-up safety measures are in place."
The Julie Taymor musical is currently scheduled to officially open Feb. 7, 2011.

Enrique has had quite a year. He dropped his ninth (ninth!) album, Euphoria, and the only thing steamier than his sultry duet with Nicole Scherzinger on “Heartbeat” was him water-skiing naked in celebration of Spain winning the World Cup. (Baby, we like that.)
Of course, the singer and scored a major hit this year with the Pitbull-assisted, Jersey Shore-approved club jam “I Like It”, which was voted the Song Of The Summer by our readers. But as far as what Enrique’s listening to, he chose Linkin Park’s “Waiting For The End” from their new album A Thousand Suns as his favorite song of the year.
The Spanish singer isn’t the only one praising the rock band. MTV compared Linkin Park’s latest to Radiohead’s Kid A, describing it as “dark, sprawling, discordant, [and] ambitious”, and calling it “so completely different from the band’s previous efforts that it will almost certainly stand as the line of demarcation between everything that came before and everything that will come after.”
Clearly, many people were fond of this new direction — the band’s fourth studio album topped the Billboard 200, and “Waiting For The End” peaked at #2 on both the Rock and Alternative charts.
Enrique tells Idolator.com why he picked the rockers’ single as his fave of 2010:
Enrique Iglesias: It’s so hard for me to select just one song or album that is my absolute favorite of the year. I listen to so many different types of music that it’s difficult to compare and pick one above the rest. Whether it’s Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Cee Lo Green, Jason Mraz, Juan Luis Guerra, Marco Antonio Solis, Lionel Richie, Wisin & Yandel or Pitbull, it is difficult for me to select JUST ONE artist, let alone one song or one album.
I usually listen to new music through the radio, finding songs on YouTube and from recommendations through friends. One song in particular that keeps standing out is Linkin Park’s new single, “Waiting For The End”. I know that the most recent album from the band has been a bit of departure from their usual style, and I always admire musicians who grow and take risks musically.
“Waiting For The End” has been in my heavy rotation recently because it has an amazingly melodic quality that builds into an upbeat rock anthem. The song has a hook that gets stuck in your head, but I’m not mad at that. It’s super catchy and has elements of pop, but holds true to the band’s rock roots. I like that the somber lyrics of the song contrast with the catchy begging and upbeat ending. The more I listen to it the more I truly appreciate what the band has done with this song and their new album.

Celebuzz Presents it's Celeb of 2010!
A few of the reasons why Katy is Celebuzz's Celeb of the Year! Just thinking about her 2010 makes us dizzy!
When Katy Perry announced her fondness for kissing girls back in 2008, she made a splash on the music scene and won fans in 'tweens and salivating guys alike. It was in 2010, though, that Katy went from featured performer to full-blown headline act and pop culture superstar. Permeating the radio airwaves, causing a stir on Sesame Street, and oh yeah, getting married, were just a few of the reasons why Katy is Celebuzz's Celeb of the Year.
Katy rang in 2010 with an engagement to comedian Russell Brand and made a play for movie stardom when she landed the role of flirty Smurfette in the live-action Smurfs flick. But it was the Summer of Katy that really kicked off her bid for Celeb of the Year. It all started when she dropped what would be the Song of Summer in May. (Need we say the title?) With its Snoop Dogg interlude and catchy bubble-gum melodies, “California Gurls” was literally inescapable, breaking the Billboard record for most radio plays in a single week. Whether you found it catchy or downright annoying, who could deny the literal eye candy of the video, in which a scantily-clad Katy lolls among tufts of cotton candy and shoots whipped cream from her bra?
The "California Gurls" unofficial press tour took Katy to a surprise concert in New York’s Times Square, the Today show and an insiders-only set at the Ed Sullivan Theatre. While the sumptuous singer made the rounds, her seemingly never-ending array of latex dresses and rainbow-hued wigs would later establish her as the go-to Halloween costume for celebs and average peeps alike.
Katy cemented her sex symbol status with a topless Rolling Stone shoot before going on to appear in Shape, Lucky, Cosmo Esquire and others, but her popularity in 2010 wasn’t just about her hot bod. She brought sparkling personality and undying energy as host of the Teen Choice Awards in August, the same month she dropped her sophomore album, Teenage Dream. Like "California Gurls" before it, the title single shot to number-one on the Billboard chart.
With her career soaring, Katy was due for a mini-scandal, which came in September, when her duet with Elmo was dubbed too hot for Sesame Street. (Oops.) A good-nature Katy spoofed it as musical guest on SNL.
Katy moved on, garnering even more attention in October when she tied the knot with Russell in India. Shunning the usual celeb model of releasing their wedding photos to a glossy, Katy and Russell kept photos and details of their special day private. Classy!
Never one to fully drop out of the public consciousness, even on her honeymoon, Katy released a third single, "Firework." No surprise that it soared to number-one and became an anthem for the national battle against bullies.
As the year wound down, Katy did anything but, releasing a signature fragrance Purr, strutting her stuff at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, dazzling VH1 Divas and setting off on a tour of the nation’s Jingle Balls. During this time, Katy capped off her mega-year with the mother of all music nominations – the Grammys’ Album of the Year.
From the spheres of music, pop culture, fashion and frankly, sex, Katy took 2010 by storm, handily landing the honor of Celebuzz’s Celeb of the Year. It’s hard to imagine how Katy had time for this level of domination, or how she’ll top it in 2011, but we’ll be watching and waiting.
Model agency IMG simultaneously fired Taylor Momsen and hired Dakota Fanning.Recall that Dakota also beat Taylor for the role of Cherie Currie in The Runaways, leaving a a shaggy-haired Momsen no choice but to start her own band.
And that is the story of how Dakota Fanning's relentless success turned Taylor Momsen into a teen angst monster. OK, maybe not, but it's an elegant juxtaposition, and one we can only hope will give rise to an epic feud, like Britney vs. Christina or Lindsay vs. Hilary. If nothing else, Taylor and Dakota make convenient foils for one another. Years from now, anthropologists will study these starlet specimens to understand the limits, potential, and contradictory forces of American adolescence.

After documenting dozens of teen mothers’ heart-wrenching stories via its hit 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom series, MTV will tackle the sensitive issue of abortion with a separate special called 'No Easy Decision'.
The special, airing Dec. 28 at 11:30 p.m., will follow one former 16 and Pregnant subject, Markai, as she wrestles with the decision after becoming pregnant for a second time.
Dr. Drew Pinsky (UGH) will also talk with young women who, like 27 percent of teens who end up with unplanned pregnancies, have chosen to end them. MTV sources say the documentary will tackle all sides of the issue, including the importance of contraception and the devastating effects of facing such a decision.
Drumroll please....Avatar is the most pirated film of the year.
The Oscar-winning mega-blockbuster was downloaded from torrent websites an amazing 16,580,000 times, according to TorrentFreak. That represents a 33% increase in download activity from last year's top-pirated film, Star Trek, which was downloaded just under 11 million times.
20th Century Fox, which distributed the sci-fi epic, isn't exactly crying. The film grossed nearly $2.8 billion at the worldwide box office to become the highest-grossing movie ever. Director James Cameron has frequently touted 3D filmmaking as the industry's best hope for combating piracy, but 3D glasses didn't hold back pirates from shattering all recorded piracy records. The financial performance of Avatar's home entertainment revenue isn't known yet, but the initial DVD release broke sales records.

According to Clinto at Badtvblog:
Last night I sat at my desk poking around the Youtubes determined to find a clip from the late 80's sitcom 'Alf' that would make for good fodder for this site. I had somehow gotten it into my head that there was a joke there, some amazingly funny footage that the bigger outlets had yet to come across. What I did not expect to find was an obscure "lost" blooper reel containing everybody's favorite wise cracking extra terrestrial puppet dropping the N-bomb. Holy yikes.
The clip comes from a youtube user that bought the footage as a VHS tape off of Ebay ten years ago and to date it has never aired (for obvious reasons). From what I can tell no other trace or reference to it exists on the internet. So behold ye loyal badtv viewers, for your eyes are about to be among the first to witness this truly mind bending scene: it's Alf, the alien puppet with questionable cultural sensitivity, droppin N-bombs on yo ass.
A possible explanation from the comments section:
if you did any research whatsoever, especially as a tv blog, you'd find that the actor who is doing the voice of Alf is doing a riff on an LA Law episode that dealt with Tourette's. Very easy to find...
Besides all the n-bombs, the dude voicing Alf seems like a real asshole.

A 28-year-old woman found shot to death in a car that crashed into the gates of a New Orleans apartment complex has been identified as Renetta "Magnolia Shorty" Lowe, a bounce MC who had been affiliated with Cash Money Records.
News of the rapper's death spread through New Orleans and the Internet late Monday afternoon, but the New Orleans coroner's office did not identify the deceased until this morning. She was in the crashed vehicle with 25-year-old Jerome Hampton; both Magnolia Shorty and Hampton were ruled to have died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.
Magnolia Shorty joined the Cash Money crew in the early '90s, appeared on a Juvenile song when she was 15, and was working on her second album. She released a duet with 17-year-old singer Kourtney Heart, "My Boy," earlier this year.
"R.I.P to my big sister Magnolia Shorty...this is a krazy world," Lil Wayne tweeted late Monday after hearing the news.

Brian Burke isn't just a legend of the NHL. He's a fists-up, knock-your-teeth-out gladiator. But when his hockey-loving son came out of the closet and died soon after, he was thrust into a strange new role: advocate for gays in a macho sports culture. He's no cheerleader—he looks like he hates every minute of it—but locker-room homophobia may have finally met its match
News about Brendan's death was posted here, so I figured people may be interested in this as well. It's long, but definitely worth the read. Brian Burke is an amazing human being.
"There’s no way, dude. I don’t even have time to breathe with my current schedule. How am I supposed to make up a fucking story about a Deerhunter song that I’ve listened to 10 times since it came out 30 days ago?” That’s Ian Somerhalder, the 32-year-old star of the CW’s hit soap, The Vampire Diaries, which he insists he “eats, works, breathes, sleeps, and shits.” Still, Somerhalder found time to jot down a list of eight songs, which he created to help Damon, the character he plays, seduce—from flirtation to climax—his eternal-but-unrequited love, Katherine (Nina Dobrev). “If I were taming that lioness, then this is exactly what each song would be.” Below, Somerhalder breaks down his choices in the frenzied manner of someone who is about to be called back to set—which he was.

We've got an EXCLUSIVE look at the first four concept images from Syfy's upcoming two-hour pilot movie for Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome. The movie focuses on the adventures of a young William Adama during the 10th year of the first Cylon war.
According to an earlier press release, here's what we have to look forward to:
"Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20's and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet ... the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet."
Remember—these are concept images, so the scenes they represent may or may not make it into the final cut of the movie, but they definitely show some interesting directions being considered for what executive producer David Eick calls an "authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of Battlestar Galactica's early seasons."
We're definitely hoping the Cylon snake (we're told it's called a "Cython") makes the cut.

Once again making headlines for the wrong reasons, Lindsay Lohan is under investigation for misdemeanor charges which may end up resulting in another probation violation.
With the situation stemming from a run-in with a Betty Ford Center employee after the "Mean Girls" star turned up 10 minutes past curfew on December 12th, chemical technician Dawn Holland has finally opened up about the alleged assault.

Rehab Worker Who Talked About Lindsay Lohan Says Betty Ford Fired Her
Dawn Holland, the Betty Ford Center staffer who claimed Lindsay Lohan assaulted her, says she has been fired from the treatment center, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Holland said she was suddenly fired aound 5pm PT Tuesday and said her termination was because she gave an interview about Lindsay to TMZ while she was still employed as a health care provider, violating patient confidentiality.
“Betty Ford Center terminated me and I’m now going full force,” she told RadarOnline.com, from her home in Palm Springs. She did not clearly define what “going full force” meant.
“[It was] due to breach of patient confidentiality because I did an interview with TMZ,” she told RadarOnline.com.

After almost a decade in Hollywood as the head of UPN and the CW, CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff may be going back to New York. I hear Ostroff would be leaving the CW at the end of her contract in June to relocate to New York with her kids. While the decision is not final, sources indicate that Ostroff is leaning heavily in that direction and is expected to make it official early next year.
Ostroff, the longest-running sitting broadcast entertainment president, had been based in New York as SVP and EVP of Lifetime until CBS Corp. boss Leslie Moonves tapped her to run UPN at the beginning of 2002. She relocated to Los Angeles with her kids and her husband Mark. But Mark's job has kept him bi-coastal, and for the past year, he has been based in New York full-time, commuting to Los Angeles every Friday night and flying back every Monday morning. That has put a strain on the family, forcing the two parents to consider a move. In anticipation of the possible relocation, I hear the Ostroff kids have already interviewed with private schools in New York. Dawn Ostroff has been a key member of Moonves' senior executive team, and I hear they both would love for her to stay on but the truth is she won't be able to do her current job of running the CW out of New York.

The announcement that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were splitting came as quite a surprise to the general public, and it was apparently something of a surprise to Reynolds, who hadn't given up yet on the marriage. Describing him as "beyond sad and depressed," a source tells Us Weekly that he "thought they could work it out, but Scarlett made it clear it was done. She was disconnected and unaffected. It was harsh."
The primary problem in the marriage was the couple's distance; the two were almost constantly working on separate projects. "They went from speaking once every two days to once every two weeks," said the source.
A source that was on the set of Reynolds' film "Green Lantern" said that Reynolds was open about the problems. "He would say she treated him badly. She was very focused on her own career, and it never seemed like she made him a priority," said that source.
That said, when the two split, they took equal responsibility, issuing a statement that said, "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage."
PepsiCo is yet to make an official announcement, and a figure for the contract has not been confirmed but it is expected to be around £6m.
Simon Cowell is due to be part of the American judging panel with Cheryl Cole, George Michael and Dermot O'Leary rumoured to be joining him.
Rival Coca-Cola is currently the official sponsor for 'American Idol', after striking a $35m with the show's makers. 'The American Idol' finale this year drew 23 million viewers across the US.
The UK version of 'The X Factor' is sponsored by TalkTalk, in a three-year deal worth £20m.
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow loves acting, but it has to be a pretty compelling part to take her away from her favorite role: mom to daughter Apple and son Moses. Playing troubled alcoholic country superstar Kelly Canter in 'Country Strong' fit the bill, as does her role in 'Contagion,' as an infected working mom in the new Steven Soderbergh film shooting now.
When considering movie roles, "you want to put yourself in the hands of someone who's really good or where you might learn something that you never thought you'd learn because my time out of my house and away from my kids is no joke," a dead-serious Paltrow told PopEater while doing press in Los Angeles for 'Country Strong.'

Matt Cardle: "I Hope Biffy Clyro Aren't Hating It"
(sorry Matt they probably are)
When asked about how the tune became his winners single, Cardle told us: "I was a massive fan of that song, it was very understated. I think it got to twenty or something in the chart. It should have been No.1." He continued: "As soon as they presented me with the opportunity to sing it, I just snatched it. I didn't let them change their minds. I would have hated to of sang Miley Cyrus, The Climb."
Speaking of Biffy Clyro's recent comments that they felt Matt's cover was "an X Factor version" of the track, Cardle told us: "Absolutely true, that's what it is. I'm very wary of doing covers, I just hope their not hating it. I mean with Miley Cyrus' The Climb, you can kind of s**t on a Miley Cyrus song and not many people are going to care because fans of The Climb by Miley Cyrus are children."
"They are not going to be like 'Oh god, I can't believe they've done a cover', but when it comes to Biffy Clyro, they have a hardcore, die-hard fanbase and are a . You can't f*** around with one of their songs."

"I have been a member of Weight Watchers for 23 years and I'm back on it right now.," Ginnifer Goodwin, 32, says in the new issue of Health magazine. Yes, Health magazine!
"It's the only thing on the planet that doesn't dehydrate you or just make you miserable," she continues. "I've never had a dramatic weight problem, it's just that I tend to indulge, and then I need to get back on track so I can button my pants."
No surprise, but Goodwin isn't about to reveal her weight anytime soon. "I actually have a number, and I know that some people say that's not the healthiest gauge," she says."But I have had a number for, honestly, 12 years that's my happy number where I feel good about myself and my energy's high. I call it my 'shooting weight,' because it's also the number that doesn't freak me out when I see myself on screen."
Now we want to hear from you: Weight Watchers for 23 years since the age of 9?!
Can we get a "weight" tag, mods?
Fret not, folks: The much-maligned romantic-comedy genre — which has been further damaged this year by the relative commercial and/or critical failures of How Do You Know, Morning Glory, and Life As We Know It — has a savior waiting in the wings. And his name is ... well, you already know his name, because you read the headline for this post. So, yeah, it's Jason Segel. EW reports:
The actor is ... writing his film for next summer, Five-Year Engagement. “We will start shooting in April,” he explains. “It is a romantic comedy. Our goal is Annie Hall or When Harry Met Sally and if we get within their stratosphere of substance, we will be happy. It really dissects relationships and aims to show how complicated they are over a long period of time. This is a five-year period and in that time things change and morph and the power dynamic shifts and people wane and eyes wonder [sic] and you question everything and this movie is about that in a funny way, I hope.”
WE BELIEVE IN YOU, JASON SEGEL. Also, think about it: Forgetting Sarah Marshall was nothing more than an awesome rom-com.
ONTD, what is your favorite rom-com?

It sounds like from the start Katy Perry and Russell Brand were quite smitten with each other and that feeling seems to have continued on into their marriage.
The trailer for 'Thor' has finally hammered itself straight into the public's Marvel obsession. Due out on May 6th, it could be said that 'Thor' is this year's 'Iron Man' -- a launching pad for a new Marvel character that we're familiar with from the comics and cartoons (and 'Adventures in Babysitting'), but not completely sold on yet. This is the first big-budgeted live-action film for Thor, and at first it seemed like somewhat of a risky move putting a director like Kenneth Branagh in the driver's seat, though now the decision makes complete sense.
Thor and his mythological roots, complete with Gods, warriors and super cool Frost Giants, is perfect for Branagh, who's spent a lot of time on and off the screen involved with Shakespeare-related productions. Thor's mythology is probably one of the more poetic out of all the Avengers, and Branagh looks to be respecting that while at the same time giving the fans what they've come to expect from this new crop of Marvel films: Seriously fun comic book movies for both die hard and casual fans.
This trailer is a mix of new stuff and the footage that was screened back at Comic-Con. It sets up the basic premise that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is banished from his home planet to earth by his father (Anthony Hopkins) where he hooks up with a human girl (played by Natalie Portman) before discovering that some other-worldly trouble may have followed him here. Cue awesome battle sequences.

Jake Gyllenhaal has admitted that if he had to have onscreen sex with anyone, he’d pick A Single Man actress Julianne Moore.
“I really think I would do Julianne Moore, kinda hands down. She has great movie sex,” Jake tells us in our video interview.
However, when his Love And Other Drugs co-star Anne Hathaway suggests she’d like to partner up with Viggo Mortensen onscreen, Jake’s having none of it.
“I’m kind of jealous,” Jake says to Anne. “I really have just devoted my onscreen sex to you. So it’s weird. I’m fine with it. I just care about you.”
“I care about you too,” Anne says, “I just care about a lot of people.”

Kings of Leon postponed a sold-out concert at London's O2 arena today (Dec. 21) after a fire destroyed two of the band's tour buses. The fire started on one bus and jumped to the other, according to the BBC. About 60 firefighters fought the blaze and six people were treated for smoke inhalation.
A venue spokesperson said, "Whilst a lot of people have been working very hard and every attempt was made to go ahead with tonight's show, thorough assessments had to be carried out as a matter of procedure before any decision could be made as to whether the show could go ahead. Unfortunately, once the assessments were completed in full, there was not enough time to set up the show for tonight's performance."
The concert will be rescheduled.
The band returns to the road in March for several dates in Australia and South Africa.
Kings of Leon are nominated for two Grammy Awards (Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group) for the song "Radioactive," off their latest album "Come Around Sundown."
