One of the biggest wild cards of the upcoming spring movie season is Greg Mottola's Paul, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as two geek pals traveling to Comic Con who encounter an alien hitchhiker (voiced by Seth Rogen) over the course of their journey. The plot of the film is still being kept relatively under wraps, but the cast somehow manages to also include Sigourney Weaver, Jeffrey Tambor, Joe Lo Truglio, Bill Hader, Jason Bateman and Kristen Wiig; as we saw in the teaser trailer that hit in October, it's more of a buddy road movie than a sci-fi adventure, though just after they finished filming Bill Hader was comparing it to early Spielberg, so who the hell knows what to expect.
The new teaser poster for the film that hit today at Collider doesn't explain much, but it is a funny riff on the ubiquitous Social Network poster and gives us a square-on look at the E.T.-esque alienn, so I'll take it for now. Check out a smaller version below and click on it for Collider's larger version. Paul hits theaters on March 18 next year, and a longer trailer will hit Yahoo tomorrow, according to Simon Pegg's Twitter.

They've fled the family nest for a bachelor pad of their own, and now the sons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo have been offered their own reality show, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
"The Manzo brothers (Albie and Christopher) were offered a reality show abut their bachelor lifestyle," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"An unnamed production company approached Albie and Chris to do their own show and the pair approached Bravo to get approval, and to confirm that Bravo was not interested in pursuing the same project."
When contacted by RadarOnline.com, a rep for the network said "no comment."

Colin Firth is in talks to star in Gambit, the Joel and Ethan Coen-scripted remake of the 1966 British action comedy that starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine. The Last Station’s Michael Hoffman is directing.
Firth is again in the thick of the Oscar race for his role in the Tom Hooper-directed The King's Speech. While the Coens just wrote and directed a remake in True Grit (they based theirs more on the original Charles Portis novel than the first film) it has taken a lot longer to get their scripted remake of Gambit into production, but not for lack of trying by producer Mike Lobell.
Hoffman signed on recently along with Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris, who'll provide financing through their upstart company. Glen Basner signed on to sell foreign territories though FilmNation. Their hope is to get the picture shooting in London and Texas before summer.
Firth would play a cat burglar who attempts to rob a billionaire of his priceless statue. He enlists the help of a waitress who looks exactly like the victim’s dead wife. The burglar’s usual precision is clouded by his relationship with his accomplice. Firth is repped by CAA.
An X Factor insider has claimed that he walked in on Cher Lloyd and Aiden Grimshaw after they appeared to have been kissing.
The supposed source told Now that rumours linking Lloyd with One Direction star Zayn Malik were far off the mark and that she was in fact closer to Grimshaw.
"As I walked in the girls' room, Cher and Aiden were both half-lying down," the source said. "It looked as though they'd been kissing. It was obvious it was as bit of an awkward moment.
"I can see why it happened. Cher seems fierce but she's not. She is quite quiet and almost unapproachable. And so is Aiden."
They added: "Zayn wouldn't go for Cher in a million years. Of all the One Direction boys, he's the goody two shoes, but in a sweet way. He's really shy. All his bandmates are really boisterous, but he's not."
Earlier this year, the same magazine suggested that Lloyd and Grimshaw were hiding a relationship from their X Factor peers.
If you’re an attractive male R&B or hip-hop artist who’s had a successful single, a large female fan base and lyrics that don’t center solely on misogyny and criminal pursuits, you now have ingredients for your very own gay rumor.
It’s almost as if the “gay” accusation often stands as a jab to discredit an artist’s talent and authenticity. Last time I checked an artist’s sexual preference didn’t determine their lyrical ability, vocal talent or creativity.
Here are a few male celebs whose ballads have taken a backseat to their bedrooms:

HAPPY FRIDAY, ONTD! :-) Congrats to the college grads today!
The fashion world is mourning --or at least I am. :(
Carine Roitfeld announced today that she will leave her position as editor-in-chief of French Vogue. Nothing is wrong, she says; it's more of a Seinfeld situation: She's been there for a decade and wants to end on a high note. “It’s ten years that I’m editor of the magazine,” she told Cathy Horyn. “I think it’s time to do something different.” She said her departure had nothing to do with Condé Nast International chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. Horyn reports:
Ms. Roitfeld often did the styling for photo shoots. “I had so much freedom to do everything I wanted. I think I did a good job.” But she added, “When everything is good, maybe I think it’s the time to do something else.” She expects to complete issues through March. She said she was not sure what she would do after that. “I have no plan at all,” she said.
Newhouse said that under Roitfeld, French Vogue "received record levels of circulation and advertising and editorial success." He added that she will be "deeply missed" and noted, "Carine herself has become widely known as a beacon of style, fulfilling the role with charm and graciousness. She has become a giant in her profession." Condé Nast France president Xavier Romatet said in a blog post announcing Roitfeld's move on the magazine's website, "Of course, I regret Carine's decision, even if I understand it. One page turns and a new step begins for this solid and powerful brand that is sure of its values."
I'm sad because I think she's really one of the only editor-in-chiefs around that understand fashion and art (although some have said that the magazine had been lacking flavor for a while) but it still think it beats US Vogue by miles. However, I don't think this will turn out like the Devil Wears Prada though. Carine doesn't favor the celebrity overexposure in the covers and advertisers wouldn't agree with her choices. She wouldn't work out very well in the US publication, unfortunately...
Eva Longoria supports the DREAM Act. So, too does New York Mets second baseman Luis Castillo and actor America Ferrera, of Ugly Betty (a ColorLines favorite) fame. Oh, and Miami Sound Machine’s Emilio Estefan and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.
They all told the Senate so today in a letter addressed to Senate leaders and jointly signed by the National Council of La Raza and other Latino politicians and business leaders. “America cannot afford to lose another generation of young people who stand to contribute to its economic and social prosperity,” they said. “The beneficiaries of the ‘DREAM Act’ are our future teachers, nurses, and engineers…The Latino community is counting on Congress to come together and show its support for the future of these young people and the nation.”
The DREAM Act would allow undocumented youth who’ve lived in the country for at least five years and graduated from high school a chance to gain citizenship after a thirteen-year probationary period if they commit at least two years to higher education or the military. While it’s got bipartisan support behind it, and plenty of celebrity cheerleaders, as well, it faces stiff odds when it returns to the Senate floor, possibly next week.
On Tuesday night’s episode of The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert took a stand against Matt Damon and his organization Water.org.
The comedian sat at his desk and checked emails, saying, “I received an actual email from Matt Damon… let’s see what he says here.” He then read the email, “‘Hi Stephen, I’m writing to ask you for your voice to help water.org stop the global water crisis. If you would help by tweeting a message or two, I would really appreciate that.’” Colbert looked up and responded, “Wow, a big hollywood star emailing me to help with this thoroughly worthwhile cause.”
Of course, Colbert was doing Damon and the non-profit a bigger favor by featuring it on his show, which receives on average 1.5 million viewers each night and which, undoubtedly, will be tweeted by is viewers. “I will not exploit my 1.9 million Twitter followers to plug Water.org, which aims to provide clean, safe, drinking water to over a billion people. I’ll talk about it on my show right now, because it allows me to point out that Matt Damon is begging me to tweet about Water.org, and I am saying you go to hell Matt Damon.”
The foundation is not only relying on celebs to spread their message, they are also partnering with applications like FrontierVille, (an online Facebook game which has roughly 30.5 million players) to raise awareness and funds. If you are familiar with the game and the virtual world, just $5 can buy you a Water Bison to live on your homestead, and all of the proceeds go directly towards Water.org— that’s some well spent time online and one way to justify all those hours logged on Facebook.
also, good catch on the 1.5 viewers ;) ...i'll help them out. cheers!
Gingers don't get the respect they deserve. They're overshadowed by their blond(e) and brunette counterparts because they're only one to two per cent of the overall population, so it's about time they got more recognition. One CHARTattack staffer dated a ginger. We wish there were more of them.
So a new poll by the U.K.'s Atomic Cinemas asked people which famous gingers they thought were super hot.
Florence And The Machine's Florence Welch came in third on the female side of the list, which was topped by Mad Men's Christina Hendricks. Julianne Moore, Lindsay Lohan (yeeeeeeech), Nicole Kidman and Duchess Of York Sarah Ferguson are among the other ladies who people think are gorgeous gingers.
On the male side of things, Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall has bizarrely come in a #3. (Seriously?? Who actually voted for him?) Prince Harry, even though he's a bit of a douche, shows up just below him. Rupert Grint (a.k.a. Ron Weasley) also made the list.
Welch was just named Spin magazine's artist of the year, having had a break-out year abroad after also becoming pretty huge at home in the U.K.
You can see Welch with U2 on June 26 at East Lansing, Mich.'s Spartan Stadium and three days later at Miami Gardens, Fla.'s Sun Life Stadium.

A raise for Lynette, Bree, Susan and Gabrielle may not top your Christmas list this year but for the stars of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, it certainly would help to ring in the new year. Contracts for Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria expire at the end of the season, and EW has learned that renegotiations have already begun.
ABC hasn’t officially said whether the drama will return for an eighth year but all signs indicate that it’s a sure thing: Creator Marc Cherry is committed to Wisteria Lane through 2013 and the drama remains the most-watched series on Sundays (12.9 million). It’s also the No. 1 non-sports program on the night in adults 18-49 (4.3 rating/10 share) and dominates its time period across all key female demographics. The show also commands a hefty ad rate that’s well north of $200,000 per 30-second spot and ranks among TV’s highest-rated scripted series among adults in homes with an $100,000-plus annual income.
Since the four stars earn the same amount – reports peg their salaries at roughly $400,000 each, which makes them among TV’s highest paid stars – its likely the women will negotiate together. From what EW hears, the women continue to get along well and are dedicated to seeing through Cherry’s vision. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, Cherry’s eager to find new hits for the Alphabet network. He has a script in development dubbed Hallelujah that would center on a small town “which finds itself being torn apart by the forces of good and evil,” according to Variety . Things improve, however, when a stranger comes to town “looking to bring justice, peace, and a little bit of faith” to the residents. The project is set up at ABC Studios through Cherry’s huge overall deal.

Reese Witherspoon does some Christmas shopping at the purse counter at Barney’s of New York on Thursday (December 16) in Beverly Hills.
The 34-year-old actress recently talked about her split from Ryan Phillippe in 2006. “I don’t have anything to hide. I don’t feel shame or embarrassment for the things I’ve gone through,” she told USA Today. “What experience have I had that millions of other women haven’t had? And men, too. There’s nothing rarefied about my experience. We’re all just people.”
“I don’t think about the marriage thing as much,” Reese replied when asked about marriage and children. “But it would be nice. I believe in it. I really do. It kind of redefines itself for you. I’m more clear, or realistic, about what it is.”

Hands down, the best female performer of this generation.
Zac Hanson got an early holiday present on Wednesday – and it was exactly what he was hoping for.
The Hanson drummer and his wife Kate welcomed their second child, daughter Junia Rosa Ruth, who arrived at 8 lbs., 7 oz. "We couldn't imagine a better Christmas gift than this sweet little girl," Hanson, 25, tells PEOPLE.
"In just the short time she's been here, she's enriched our family and our lives beyond measure," he adds. "We're looking forward to celebrating the season with our family and introducing her to everyone."
Baby Junia joins brother Shepherd, 2½, and a half-dozen cousins ranging from age 2 to 8: Zac's brother and bandmate Taylor has four kids while Isaac has two.
"We have no intentions to battle the Osmonds in any way," Zac has joked about his extended family's brood (who have joined the group on tour). "They can have the crown."
Adds Kate of the "super-fertile" Hanson headlines, "Honestly, we're pretty normal. We're three distinct families but people want to group us together!"
But as a band that's been performing together for well over a decade, it's difficult not to: Hanson just finished a sold-out tour to support their fifth studio album Shout It Out, which produced a hit video for the single "Thinking 'Bout Something".
I feel old and I want children...I'm 24 lol
10. Ghost Rider demands that you respect his eyes
When Nicolas Cage, that guy who has spent the past decade making you forget that he has an Oscar, traveled to Romania in December to promote the sequel to his critically tolerated 2007 film, he was filmed outside of a nightclub, screaming and making odd threats against a random guy. The jury is still out as to what exactly caused Cage to go nuts, but I'm going to assume his rage has something to do with that hairline-challenged guy David Spade calls "Ghost Rider" in that 7-Up commercial. Why he didn't just say "My hair is a bird. Your argument is invalid," we'll never know.

At the source commenters are pointing out that since it mentions Blake AND Ryan that it still could be Blake, but a different man, like Ben Affleck.
She has found fashion inspiration in can-can dancers at the Moulin Rouge, scantily clad boxers for her Dirrrty music video, and more recently Burlesque artists.
But last night the singer paid homage to a slightly less sexy icon - Queen Victoria.
Man of the Year: Kanye West. At the end of 2009, Kanye was practically in hiding. But his brilliantly philosophical Twitter feed, the artistic and ambitious "Runaway" film, and the undeniable My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy had Kanye back in the forefront of popular culture in 2010. The album debuted at #1 with nearly 500,000 units sold and has been acclaimed by fans and critics alike.
Woman of the Year: Lady Gaga. For an artist who didn't release an album of new material this calendar year, Lady Gaga certainly had the world on a string. Her massively successful Monster Ball World Tour, her vocal stand against "don't ask, don't tell," her outlandishly memorable fashion choices and her multiple wins at the Grammys, VMAs, AMAs and almost every other awards show under the sun this year certainly reinforced the idea that, for the second consecutive year, it's Lady Gaga's world.

Actor George Takei was recently forced to call in exterminators after his apartment in New York became infested with bedbugs.
The former Star Trek star said that he and his partner, Brian Altman were 'eaten alive' by the parasites earlier in the month and so the couple were forced to seek professional help.
He told radio DJ Howard Stern: "We were (in New York) last month and nothing happened, and then this month, I've been eaten alive."
Takei is convinced he picked up the bugs on a theatre trip: "Brad and I go to the theatre a lot, and I think they must have been in the seats. There's no other way we could have gotten them."
It's time to upgrade Eric Balfour from showkiller to moviekiller! Although, to be fair, there's nothing he could have done to make us like this glorified advertisement for a special effects company. The ships, robots, smaller ships and smaller robots that are attacking humanity showcase some pretty amazing computer effects, but the condominium residents who are trying to hide from them even as they confront one another about soap-opera-level betrayals are some of the most self-absorbed people we've ever fake-met in our lives. Also, the movie runs out of money just when the story threatens to improve, and decides to just end there.

Needless to say, hijinks ensue. Lots of them.

"Saturday Night Live" celebrates the new year starting January 8 with actor Jim Carrey and musical guest The Black Keys.
Jim Carrey will take his second turn at hosting on January 8. The two-time Golden Globe winner is receiving critical acclaim for his starring role in the recently released film "I Love You Phillip Morris," which was nominated in the category of "Best Comedy" for the 16th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Carrey's past credits include "Liar Liar," "The Truman Show," "Man On The Moon," and "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind."

Geri Halliwell has confirmed reports she's planning to revive her solo career - and the former Spice Girls star is "really excited" about her musical comeback.
The singer forged a successful career away from the girl group after she left in 1998 but her last record, 2005's Passion, limped into the U.K. charts at number 41.
Halliwell subsequently took time out of the music industry to look after her four-year-old daughter Bluebell, but reports earlier this month (Dec10) suggested she is planning a new release.
The star confesses she has stepped back into the studio to work on her music, and she's hoping her forthcoming material will top the charts.
She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "I'm really excited and I've been thinking about it for a long time and things feel right. I was always going to continue with music in some way.
"I've been in the studio and it's going to have a bit of a dance feel to it. I love to dance and hear this type of upbeat music in clubs - it's all going really well. I was proud of all my solo music and this is just the next chapter. It's time to get back into the charts again."
Goddess, flawless, etc. Putting money aside to buy her calendar, and then her album when she finally releases it! I'm a little said that it sounds like she's moving away from the pop genre, but I need some new dance grooves!

According to In Touch Online's "exclusive," Lo and Scott's busy lives are to blame for the breakup, and the two have parted amicably. “Both of their careers are taking off right now,” an insider told the website. But Life & Style (yes, the same people who reported the imminent engagement) is singing another tune, saying that Scott may have had ulterior motives. "I'm not sure if Scott was in the right relationship for the right reasons," a friend of Lo's told the site. "I don't know if Scott loved Lo so much as he loved the fame."
A rep for Lo has confirmed the breakup, but which tabloid do you think has the real backstory?
Braeden talked exclusively to EW about the comment and what prompted him to skip Thursday’s taping.
“I really don’t know who that fellow is. He’s a guy who stars in that series,” Braeden told EW, laughing. “It’s very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I’ve doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I’m exhausted. I was not about appear on a show for two lines, because that’s what it amounted to.”
The reason for his so-called bailing? Braeden said he only learned about the size of his part the day before the taping, which he considered unreasonable. (He believes he should have been given the scripts weeks in advance).
Braeden originally agreed to take the gig because he enjoyed his first appearance on the CBS comedy in November 2008. “I truly enjoyed working there last time,” Braeden said. “The cast and crew and producers couldn’t have been nicer.”
As for Harris, “His choice of words bothered me,” Braeden added. “It seems to me like a young whippersnapper, having seen himself on a few covers, who’s received a few awards, is now suddenly suffering from the first signs of hubris. I’ve been in the business for 50 years. I’ve seen people come and go and I’m still here.”
Braeden ultimately laughed of the whole situation. “If he is a worthy adversary, he’d better not cross my path. I will let bygones be bygones.”

As promised on Fearne Cotton's Radio 1 show Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Davill have recorded their own version of 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' for Doctor Who Confidential.

Leighton Meester will be the new face of Missoni’s campaign, which will launch early next year, according to E!
The 24-year-old actress has a lot on her hands these days as she recently signed on to be the face of Vera Wang as well. Leighton shot the ad campaign for Vera Wang back in November with photographer Carter Smith.
Leighton’s Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively also is putting her face to a fashion line. She recently signed on to star in the ad campaign for Chanel!
Leighton Meester Scared Of Performing Live
The Gossip Girl actress plays the role of Chiles Stanton in new movie Country Strong and revealed that performing live scares her.
"[I get nervous] every time. It's terrifying and it's just, it's an incredible adrenaline rush," the 24-year-old starlet shared with MTV. "It's not bad, by any means, it's just terrifying."
As for her music career (Leighton is still recording songs for her debut album, which she'll be releasing in 2011), she revealed: "I recorded three songs recently. I have, like, 20 more to do.
"So I don't know when that's going to happen. I just really want it to be perfect. I'm not in any rush."
Christmas wouldn't be the same without Ronnie Spector's soulful voice filling the house. The Ronettes' versions of "Sleigh Ride," "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "Frosty the Snowman" on the classic 1963 LP "A Christmas Gift for You From Phil Spector" (produced by her ex-husband) rank among the best holiday pop recordings of all time. Now the 67-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has released a five-track seasonal follow-up, "Ronnie Spector's Best Christmas Ever." She's also one of the main subjects in Keith Richards' autobiography, "Life." We spoke to her by phone from her home in Connecticut.
Q: I know how much you love Christmas. How did you ever make it through Thanksgiving?
A: I went to my husband's family's house, and all I could think about was Christmas. I was sitting there eating, thinking, "I can't wait." And then we got in our car and "Sleigh Ride" was playing.
Q: What goes through your head when you hear one of your own songs on the radio?
A: It's a great feeling. I'm so happy to be affiliated with Christmas. The other day, I was grocery shopping and "Frosty the Snowman" was playing. I'm standing in line and shouted, "That's me!" People think I'm a little nuts when I do that, but they know who I am here. I think they play my records on purpose because they know me.
Q: What Christmas records get the most play in your house?
A: I always play "A Christmas Gift for You." I have no bitterness. No anger. I love my records. Forget the person who made them, if you get my drift.

Sharon Osbourne has admitted that she thought Cher Lloyd was putting on an act during The X Factor.
The 58-year-old said that she enjoyed this year's show but doubts that the 17-year-old was being genuine.
She explained to Now: "I knew it was going to be a great final.
"The talent was incredible and Simon Cowell definitely made the show more edgy, younger and phenomenal this year."
The former X Factor judge said of Lloyd: "I thought it was a f**king act. I like her and I think she's a sassy little thing.
"But Cher knew what she was doing and she's as fragile as I am. But she's too young to be a diva - she hasn't earned that right."
Osbourne also revealed that she thinks Lloyd is trying to be too much like her mentor on the show, Cheryl Cole.
She added: "Cher wants to be a mini Cheryl Cole. We've already got Cheryl - we don't need Cher.
"And I wouldn't put her in Amy Winehouse's league. She hasn't got the talent and individuality that Amy has."

Broadway is about to get some top flight Hollywood treatment. 'Rock of Ages,' the hit 80's hair metal-inspired Broadway musical, is set to be a big screen epic, and it's already rocked the world with its big casting offers.
Rumored for a 2011 production, producers for the film have reached out to three major stars to fill crucial supporting roles, The Wrap reports: Tom Cruise, as burnt out rock star Stacee Jaxx; Alec Baldwin as Dennis, another former star, now grasping onto the stage at an LA bar; and Gwyneth Paltrow (via EW), in a big, but as of yet, unidentified role.

Will Cruise also wear heels like RDJ did in his scenes with Paltrow? Or will he stand on a box? Since women aren't allowed to be taller than him.
If you've watched ABC in the past two months, chances are your eyes have settled on Ryan Devlin. And since he is very easy on the eyes, we can't imagine you'd complain about that fact.
The good news is, you won't have to do without him since he's been hooking up with Calista Flockhart on Brothers & Sisters...and possibly even popping back up on Cougar Town!
Ryan Devlin: I'm definitely having a good run on ABC right now! It's never a bad year when you get to call Busy Philipps, Mandy Moore and Calista Flockhart your onscreen squeezes. Although I've got to say, juggling the different roles simultaneously has been a bit interesting. About a month ago I was filming Cougar Town in the morning then rushing to Grey's Anatomy for the afternoon. Going from cracking jokes to crying my eyes out was definitely a challenge. But it was a lot of fun, too! To work with such talented actors on such accomplished shows with such solid writing...it's been a dream. And as a bonus, there's definitely been no shortage of beautiful onscreen gals to kiss lately!

Count Mila Kunis among the not-insignificant number of people who aren't buying the official story behind Miley Cyrus' bong video.
The Black Swan beauty appeared on Lopez Tonight on Wednesday to talk about, among other things, her recent Golden Globes nomination, and when host George Lopez brought up the topic of the Hannah Montana star's latest scandal, Kunis expressed utter doubt that Cyrus was smoking the legal but potent hallucinogen salvia in the video:
"She was smoking some weed! Come on, now; that was not no legal [substance]!"
To be fair, Kunis, 27, admitted to her own youthful indiscretions—such as lying about her age to land her gig on That '70s Show—during the interview.
Do you agree with her?

EXCLUSIVE: There will be a lot more of the brilliantly scary Richard Harrow on HBO's Boardwalk Empire next year. Young British actor Jack Huston, who played the role in five episodes during the second half of the prohibition era drama's first season, is joining the cast as a regular for Season 2. Harrow, a disfigured war veteran and former sharpshooter in the American army who has the left side of his face covered with a painted tin plate, got a second shot at life when Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) hired him as a hit-man and bodyguard. Huston, who is part of an acting dynasty as the grandson of John Huston and nephew of Anjelica Huston, is coming into his own. In addition to getting the plum series regular role on Boardwalk Empire, he recently landed one of the leads in The Sopranos creator David Chase's feature debut, a music-driven coming of age story set in 1960’s suburbia. In fact, it was Boardwalk Empire creator (and former Sopranos executive producer) Terence Winter who recommended Huston to his former boss Chase after seeing his work on Boardwalk Empire. Huston, whose credits include the feature Boogie Woogie and the ABC series Eastwick, is repped by UTA, the Collective and UK's Ken McReddie Assoc.
Viewers of TBS’s Funniest Commercials of the Year will likely be in rapt attention Thursday night. This year’s show will be hosted by one Isaiah Mustafa, a.k.a. the Old Spice Guy, who rode—both a horse and a motorcycle—to fame earlier this year with a series of commercials featuring his tongue-in-cheek portrayal of a masculine ideal, that managed to make a stale brand suddenly fresh. And while his actual name isn’t nearly as familiar as the character he plays, by next year, odds are we’ll know Isaiah Mustafa as more than just the Old Spice Guy. He has a role opposite Jason Bateman and Jason Sudekis in the upcoming Horrible Bosses and will play a lead in Tyler Perry’s next likely juggernaut, Big Happy Family. Mustafa spoke to NEWSWEEK’s Jesse Ellison about his signature scent, what women want, and the power of positive thinking.
The Old Spice Guy, as a character, is sort of macho in an old-school way, but also somehow very modern.
The character says a lot of things that men would want to say, but also wouldn’t want to say. And he says a lot of things that women would want to hear, or what we think women want to hear. But he’s very tongue-in-cheek. He knows he’s full of, you know, whatever. But he also knows he can get away with it. He’s one of those guys in the mold of an Indiana Jones or James Bond, which you don’t see much anymore.

It seems like only yesterday that she was a teen-pop star, but Christina Aguilera turns 30 on Saturday, facing an uncertain commercial and personal future as a middle-aged "Dirrty" girl. How happy is this birthday for her?
She won't be spending it alone, at least. There's a new guy in the life of this suddenly single superstar, and if he weren't around to ease her through her divorce, she'd still have the paparazzi to keep her company. Still, there are other factors that might make the candles look a little dimmer as she faces her fourth decade:
