Nude Lady Gaga Becomes ‘Patron Saint of the Gulf’

Visual artists across the globe have become enamored, like the rest of us, with Lady Gaga, the unquestioned current pop bellwether for envelope pushing. In an extreme case of Gaga-gone-wild, sculptor Daniel Edwards has manufactured a hybrid of BP oil spill symbolism and nude Lady Gaga goddessness with a creation he calls “Patron Saint of the Gulf.”

Bring Me the Horizon's new music video - "Anthem"

British metalcore outfit, Bring Me the Horizon has released the second music video off their third studio album, There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret.  The song is called Anthem.

Eh, it's an ok video. The song's great though - high energy and awesome for moshing. Now I'd like to see either Don't Go, Alligator Blood or Visions being the next single.

The 15 most ridiculous gadget TV commercials from the 1980s

The 1980s were a crazy time. We elected a former B-movie actor to defend the free world, replaced Coke with a new version only to change our minds shortly thereafter, and found entertainment in the hijinks of a fuzzy brown puppet alien.

It was also a time when computers and other formerly high-end electronics started to gain a foothold as standard household products. Of course, the promise of a Buck Rogers future world didn't quite live up to the hype — but don't tell that to the electronics marketing teams of the day. We've assembled the top gadget commercials from the 1980s* complete with all the adorable naiveté, synthesizer music, and graphic effects that decade of cheesy excess could muster. Enjoy!

*For the point of this post, we're defining "the 80s," as the era between 1977 and 1990. Note: you won't be seeing that groundbreaking Ridley Scott-directed Apple commercial from 1984 as we're scoring on the basis of unintended irony, timeliness and overall 1980s awesomeness.

The Worst Album Covers of 2010

There are album covers that are illuminating works in their own right, covers that reveal hidden depths to the music inside, and covers that advance the state of the graphic designer's art. And then there are these. Our annual tradition highlighting the worst cover art of the year-- goofy, offensive, amateurish, and puzzling, it's all here-- continues with the dregs of 2010. Not safe for people at work or those prone to nausea.

Ed Kowalczyk reenacts the making of Alive.

Canadian playwright David French dies at age 71

His stories made us laugh and they made us cry, even while they helped us realize that Canadian stories were worth telling.

And while his passing will be mourned by the Canadian theatre community, David French's life will be celebrated, in a very real sense, every time one of his plays is produced.

Rarely has an autobiography been so beautifully etched for the stage.

French's death at 71, reportedly after a battle with brain cancer, was announced this weekend.

Take That Marks Third Week At No. 1 On U.K. Chart

Take That marked a third week atop the U.K. album chart yesterday -- and a remarkable 52nd career overall for albums and singles charts combined -- with "Progress" (Polydor/Universal). The "X Factor" Finalists' charity cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" (Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment) started a second week at the singles summit.

"Progress," which is now past 900,000 sales on its way to a rapid million, stayed at the top to restrict former "X Factor" contestant Olly Murs to a No. 2 entry with his self-titled debut album (Epic/Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment). JLS' "Outta This World" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) slipped 2-3 while Rihanna's "Loud" (Def Jam/Universal) swapped places at No. 4 with Susan Boyle's "The Gift" (Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 5.

There were two other top ten debuts, British R&B collective N-Dubz' "Love Live Life" (All Around The World/Universal Island) at No. 7 and Duffy's sophomore set "Endlessly" (A&M/Universal) at No. 9. That somewhat muted entry comes after the failure of its first single "Well Well Well" to reach the top 40, with a 41-44 fall on the new chart.

Angelina Jolie: 'My kids are individuals'

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she gives her six children the opportunity to develop their own personalities.

The actress explained that they are all "strong individuals" because they are given enough freedom to be themselves.

She told You: "Hopefully I'm giving my children the sense that they are deeply loved and deeply safe. At the same time we are hopefully encouraging their individuality as they get to know who they are, and not getting in the way of that.

"That's why they are six very strong individuals."

The 35-year-old, who raises Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and 2-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with partner Brad Pitt, confirmed that she is allowing her daughter Shiloh to express herself by wearing boys' clothes.

She added: "I don't think it's for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called John for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It's who she is.

"It's been a surprise to us and it's really interesting, but she's so much more than that - she's funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie."

mandy moore admits she left pop music because she was sick of being told what to do

Mandy Moore has admitted that she left pop music because she was sick of being told what to do.

The singer-turned-actress said that the pressure from record bosses for her to keep up with the trends got too much.

She told The New York Post: 'I wasn't happy, and I don't think [the record company] was particularly happy.

'I wasn't interested in going into the studio and singing about shoes and boys and, you know, dealing with whatever hot producer-of-the-week they wanted to have me work with.'

She admitted that she's now trying to move away from her cutesy image.

'People see me as a sweet person and I'd much rather people say that of me than anything else. But it has its limitations,' she explained.

'I'd rather people say, 'Wow, she's an actress and musician' than 'Oh, she does all those cute movies'. I need to challenge myself so people will say, 'Wow, I didn't expect that. Cool'.'

Robert Downey Jr. To Take On Anne Rice's Lestat?

The Vulture Transcript: Anne Rice on Twilight, Her Casting Dreams for a New Lestat, and Her Ever-Evolving Religious Beliefs

Thirty-five years ago, Anne Rice single-handedly launched a permanent pop-culture vampire fixation with Interview With the Vampire, the first installment of her best-selling ten-book series The Vampire Chronicles. Today, the author is interested in a different sort of eternal life: the kind that comes from religious salvation instead of erotic damnation. Raised Irish Catholic, the author re-converted in 1998 after years as a self-avowed atheist. Her spiritual awakening was followed by a transition to more explicitly Christian material: first the Christ the Lord books, which fictionalized the early life of Jesus Christ, and most recently, the Songs of the Seraphim series, about a reformed hit man named Toby O’Dare who becomes — of course! — a time-traveling angel-for-hire. (And then in July, Rice stunned her Christian fan base by announcing — on Facebook, no less — that she was leaving organized religion “in the name of Christ.”) She is currently making appearances in New York (tonight at the Tribeca Barnes & Noble) and California to promote her second Seraphim novel, Of Love and Evil. For a sprawling Vulture Transcript, we called Rice to discuss demons and angels, and her potential new entries in her Christ the Lord series, as well as more secular topics, like her takes on Twilight and True Blood, and whether she thinks Robert Downey Jr. should succeed Tom Cruise as the next Vampire Lestat.

Queen of Pop on A&U Magazine

With a stellar turn in For Colored Girls and a highly anticipated book coming out in early 2011, the multitalented Janet Jackson takes a breather to talk about getting a handle on the pandemic
by Dann Dulin, with Chael Needle.

As part of a rainbow of characters in Tyler Perry’s new movie For Colored Girls, Janet Jackson wears red. It’s a familiar color for her. Her wardrobe has included AIDS awareness ribbons for decades now.

“Sadness, deep, deep heartbreak…and hope,” Janet responds when asked what comes to mind when she thinks of AIDS.

She recalls the early nineties: “I had heard about it, but I really didn’t pay that much attention to it until I lost a dear friend, and learned of Magic’s announcement.” What impact has the epidemic had on her? “A major impact! I lost quite a few friends to AIDS, and it’s really affecting our youth. They don’t even realize how serious it is.”

With Awards Season, come the Smear Campaigns

On Friday, I received an email about the King George VI biopic “The King’s Speech,” the source of which (“an Academy member”), I must emphasize, I have not yet been able to confirm (though I am trying). Nevertheless, it hinges upon a point that was recently reported by a credibile journalist on the Web site of a credible publication — namely, Claude Brodesser-Akner, a veteran reporter, on the “Vulture” page of New York Magazine’s Web site on November 28 — and will inevitably be raised again, so, with that major caveat, I have decided to share it…

I’m an Academy member, and there are a LOT of us who won’t vote for “King’s Speech” for this reason, which was in New York Magazine:
“Seeing as Speech is Oscar bait in extremis, this blogger feels morally compelled to note that while the film largely glosses over the Nazi-sympathizing past of the tongue-tied monarch (Colin Firth) and deals with his relationship to an Aussie-born speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush), when it came to actively working to
stymie Jews fleeing Hitler’s Germany, George actually communicated quite eloquently.”

The story that the New York Magazine piece links to appeared in The Guardian in April 2002, in a piece by Ben Summerskill entitled “MPs Want Quick Release of Queen Mother’s Papers,” and includes the following reference to a document that was already in the public domain:

Colfer also wrote the script for "Lightning," which is to be shot during the "Glee" hiatus next summer. Permut plans to attach a director and other cast before going out to financiers in the new year.

The script, Permut said, captures the spirit of movies penned by the late John Hughes."

Irrfan Khan Playing "Proto-Goblin" in 'Spider-Man' Reboot (Update)

Late last week we told you that Irrfan Khan (the police inspector in 'Slumdog Millionaire') was cast as a second villain in the 3D 'Spider-Man' reboot due out in 2012. At the time all we had was the name Van Adder, which at first didn't make much sense to anyone. This wasn't a classic Spider-Man character, or even one who was widely known, so folks were understandably curious as to who this Van Adder actually was. Well, a full name and a few more searches have finally given us the answer: Khan will be playing Nels Van Adder, a character who appeared very briefly in the comics as an employee of Oscorp Industries, a weapons manufacturer run by Norman Osborn (aka Green Goblin).

TV Ratings Monday

'Sing Off' Premiere Soars; 'Castle' Falls; 'Hawaii Five-0', 'Mike & Molly' Hit Series Lows

Also how Dan/Blair saved Gossip Girl :)

A big start for The Sing-Off put NBC in an unusual second place on Monday night, but CBS’s all new line up won easily with adults 18-49. Univision was a surprise #3 with adults 18-49, topping Fox and ABC. The second season debut of The Sing-Off scored a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, up 22% vs. last season’s premiere. The certain to be cancelled Chase still slipped a tenth of a point (6%) vs. last week (when it had CBS repeat competition) to a 1.5 rating.
Since their last new episodes two weeks ago, CBS’s How I Met Your Mother rose a tenth of a point (3%) to a 3.6 adults 18-49 rating, and Rules of Engagement was up two tenths (7%) to a 3.1 rating. Two and a Half Men’s 4.1 rating slid 9% vs. two weeks ago, while Mike & Molly’s 3.4 rating was down 15% to a series low. At 10pm, Hawaii Five-0′s 2.7 rating was down 18% to a series low.
The first ever American Country Awards on Fox scored just a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.
For the CW, 90210′s 2.0 rating for the CW target women 18-34 demo was even with last week’s season high in that demo, while Gossip Girl’s 2.4 women 18-34 rating was down a tenth.
On ABC, Skating With The Stars 1.0 adults 18-49 rating was down a tenth from last week and a series low. While in its return after two weeks off, Castle’s 2.2 rating was down  12% from its last new episode on 11/15.
Note that the MyNet affiliate in NYC, and the ABC affiliate in Boston carried the Monday Night Football game locally, so that increases the likelihood that these preliminary ratings for ABC will be adjusted lower.
Late-night results are below the primetime data.

RDJ injured by Jude Law on the set of Sherlock Holmes 2

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

ROBERT Downey Jr. was left badly injured on the set the new Sherlock Holmes movie.

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, the actor — who plays the titular character in the sequel — and his costar, Jude Law, were riding through the streets of London in a horsedrawn buggy when Jude jerked up his whip handle just as Downey leaned down.

The handle banged Downey smack in the eye, knocking him flat and leaving him injured.

“The cast and crew came running as Downey howled, filming halted while medics nursed his eye with ice bags — and Jude kept whining apologies,” a source said.

“Hours later, medics determined the swelling had subsided, so after a bit of makeup magic — the scene was reshot.”

Robert — who’s married to film producer Susan Levin, his second wife — recently admitted his marriage takes a lot of work.

“Do we have to work at the relationship? More than I thought. And usually more than I would care to,” he said.

“But ultimately, it’s nice to have pure communication with, for me, a woman. Historically this is not something that, for me, was not really achievable.”

I'm sure Jude will think of ways to make up for it.

More Oscar Predictions

Well, it's that most wonderful time of the year again. No, not Christmas, the war against which we are fully waging. We mean Oscar season! Some early awards have been given out, so it's time to start the prediction game.

Best Picture

Likely Nominees: Because this category was expanded to ten nominees last year, it's easier than ever to predict what movies are locks. Expect to see favorites The Social Network and The King's Speech on the list come January, along with requisite blockbuster Inception, and appreciated indies Black Swan, 127 Hours, and Winter's Bone.

Longer Shots: Not many people have seen the Coen Brothers' True Grit yet, but everyone's guessing it will be good, so that could be up there. Everyone loved Toy Story 3, but that did come out an awfully long time ago. Same goes for The Kids Are All Right, which is most likely to get its recognition in the Best Actress category. David O. Russell's The Fighter has both the well-polished grit and the soaring uplift that make Academy voters drool, so that could end up with a nod.

Longest Shots: Rabbit Hole seems to have better chances in acting categories, but you never know. And the much-lauded depress-o-rama Blue Valentine could sneak in on the Precious ticket.

Jesse Eisenberg wants all his fan pictures, fears hacking

Part Two of the Movieline interviews:

Jesse Eisenberg on Using Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and His Next Project (Which May Involve You)

Last week I met actor Jesse Eisenberg for a lengthy discussion of subjects ranging from his coming-of-age in the New York theater to his beloved Zombieland and his awards-season prospects for The Social Network. We covered a lot of ground, which I’ll be retracing this week in a five-part series here at Movieline.

As our impromptu Hell’s Kitchen rendezvous continued, Jesse Eisenberg naturally drifted into the subject The Social Network was in part based on: Facebook, and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg. The actor elaborated on his (short) experience on Facebook, the possibility of sending Mark Zuckerberg ill-advised late night emails, if he can still walk down the street without being recognized (or, as it turns out, without being given a noogie) and his new project — which just may wind up somehow involving you.

I’ve heard everyone involved with The Social Network say that they don’t use Facebook. But if I worked on a project where I learned about fixing Chevys, after that project was over, I think I might want to see if I could actually fix a Chevy. You’ve had no desire to check out Facebook?
Well, I did all that. The last movie I did [Ruben Fleischer’s 30 Minutes or Less], I played a pizza-delivery guy. So I went on pizza-delivery runs with the guy. I always do that. I signed up for Facebook for just a week. Or two or three weeks.

As yourself or an alias?
Under an alias with a new e-mail address that I set up just for that. Then I got an e-mail a week later suggesting I be friends with this girl who was actually my sister’s best friend from that school over there [points across the street to his former high school]. 'Jersey Shore' star Angelina in Atlantic City nightclub scuffle

A "Jersey Shore" cast member may be in hot water after an alleged incident Saturday night at the Casbah Night Club at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
A woman, whom police did not identify on Sunday morning, signed a simple assault complaint against Angelina Pivarnick, said Lt. Dan Ritzel of the Atlantic City Police Department.
The incident was reported at about 9:30 p.m.
The alleged victim told authorities she was attacked attempting to take a photo of the MTV “Jersey Shore” star, Ritzel said.
Pivarnick, 24, of Staten Island, was in Atlantic City this weekend for a celebrity boxing match between her and VH1’s Kerry Schwartz.

What a classy girl, in the classiest nightclub in Atlantic City... /sarcasm.

Cheryl Cole 'fears US X Factor could ruin her career'

The 27-year-old allegedly signed a £3million deal with Simon Cowell's new show to be a judge but now she is fearing the transition between the British show and American could be too much for audiences to handle and could see the downfall of her career.

In addition, Cowell recently expressed his concerns that Chezza's Geordie accent will limit her abilities to be understood by an American audience.

And it seems she has the same fears as a source told Star magazine: 'Cheryl was thrilled to accept the offer, but she is terrified it could all go horribly wrong, and has said: 'what if nobody likes me?'

'She thinks being hated in a country like the US could kill her career overnight.'

Cheryl will be joining her close friend Derek Hough, 25, in the States and is so eager to make it work she is reportedly having elocution lessons to tone down her Northern accent.

'Having elocution lessons is a real prospect for Cheryl now. She's proud of her roots and doesn't want to change how she speaks, but she accepts that if the Americans don't understand her, they will quickly turn on her,' the source added.

We now know that Olalla gave birth to baby Leo at Liverpool Women’s Hospital – the same delivery destination of Coleen & Kai Rooney. Low and behold, Xabi Alonso is rumoured to have done an in-person celebratory jig at the hospital with Fernando.

As we all already know, Fernando Torres missed last night’s Liverpool match against Aston Villa to witness the birth of his second child. We’re now giddy-with-glee to confirm that Olalla gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Leo, late yesterday. The footy world was rocked to its core [as were the pastry shops within 10 kilometers of our flats] so much so that the baby’s birth was not reported according to the time of day, but rather, what minute mark of Liverpool’s match (the 74th, FYI). His footballin’ future already seems to be bright, no?

Unlike their first bundle of ovary-bursting joy, Olalla gave birth in Liverpool and not in the couple’s Spanish hometown [two days ahead of her actual due date, as we first reported]. Also unlike their first ride on the kiddie-merry-go-round: Xabi Alonso was present! We’re ignoring the obvious – that Mr. Alonso’s fleeting appearance at Anfield happened on coincidence – as we presume you all plan to do, too. Anyone else envisioning happy hospital high-fives being shared between Xabi, Steven Gerrard and proud papa Torres? Ignorance is indeed bliss.

Other deets are of the limited variety at this point, but once our updates are in, the smoke signals we plan on sending out will put the Papal conclave to shame. In the interim, we leave you with Fer’s abs to soften the blow/tide you over.

Before we forget, though, our unofficial pool is now open for Sergio Ramos’ baptism suit betting. Because he’ll obviously be attending as godfather, and it’s obviously more importante to predict if he’ll be wearing his preferred pants in green or red. Duh.

New 'I Am Number Four' Trailer

Yahoo Movies has debuted the new trailer for the the sci-fi thriller "I Am Number Four." In the film, an extraordinary teen named John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. I'm probably going to spend the entirety of watching this movie hoping that Alex and Timothy make out. Am I the only one?

Darren Will Get Your Heart Racing in His V-Neck Tee, Be Your Hipster Dream, Tonight

San Francisco-born, LA-based Darren Criss' path to joining the cast of Fox's much-beloved Glee represents a particularly of-the-moment fairy tale: a Lana-Turner-in-the-malt-shop story for the digital age. It started when Criss posted A Very Potter Musical, a show he and friends at the University of Michigan theater department put together during their senior year, on the Internet. In spite of an image and sound quality that Criss calls "equivalent to that of your Uncle Jimmy filming your Christmas pageant," he quickly became a YouTube sensation, garnering a substantial cult following and spurring him to start a production company, Starkids, with his musical co-conspirators. The group produced a sequel to the Harry Potter musical, as well as the inarguably highbrow Me and My Dick. A brief appearance on the short-lived series Eastwick later, Criss landed on Glee playing Blaine, a member of the Warblers, a rival glee club, and love interest to Kurt.

Appearing on Glee is a dream for Criss: "Even if Blaine was to get hit by a bus in two episodes, I'm really thankful for the time I've been given on the show." We spoke with the multi-talented actor, musician, and Internet sensation during a rare break between filming Glee, writing songs, and dreaming up space adventure musicals.

KATIE MENDELSON: Was there any trepidation on your part about taking on the role of a gay character, or concern about being pigeonholed after moving on from Glee?

DARREN CRISS: Not at all. To be quite honest, that doesn't take up a huge chunk of what really matters about Blaine. After having gotten to know the show a little bit, I was really excited to see that a character like this—such a strong gay character, especially a young, male, out-and-proud teen—was going to make its way onto network television, much less Fox. This is the first time I'd really seen an out student that was so young and innocent and really struggling with the big ordeal that it is to be an out student at such an early age. When other shows present the gay character thing, it's typically been in much more adult situations, like gay men living in New York or closeted men who are married and struggling with that ordeal, but never really the core of the journey of defining your sexuality. Blaine offers a beautiful counter to that and makes such a great addition to the many-colored palette that is Glee. So as far as me having any reservations about it, no. I read it being like, this would be so cool, whoever gets to play this, it's going to be a great thing for an already great show.

7 Shockingly Dark Origins of Lovable Children's Characters

Sometimes it's the people closest to us that we know the least. We've all had that moment when we first found out that our best friend prefers The Monkees to The Beatles, that our significant other believes wrestling is real, or that our favorite uncle once killed a homeless man in Kentucky over a bottle of Night Train. Well, fictional characters are like that too: With just a little bit of digging, you can uncover all sorts of messed up crap that'll ruin all the things you used to love. So let's get started on doing that!

mandy moore wants to work with hubby ryan adams on her next record

Mandy Moore wants to make a record with her rocker husband Ryan Adams.

The singer and actress is currently earning plaudits for her voice work in the latest Disney film Tangled.

And, although there is nothing in the pipeline at the moment, Mandy has revealed her desire to combine her talents with Ryan on an LP.

She says they already have a proven combination - and this will work even if the project is not a traditional collaboration.

"I don't know about a duet," Mandy told E! Online. "But I would love to work with him on the next record. I'm sure he'll be involved in some way. We work well together."

The 26-year-old, who has released six studio albums, says she is getting inspiration from various classic artists before recording her next release. As well as Ryan, 36, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is on her radar.

"I'm listening to McCartney right now and a lot of Gram Parsons. My hubby, too. It's hard to ignore that influence in the house," she explained.

The pretty brunette also revealed her Tangled auditions were drawn out. Yet she was able to perform a tune by one of her idols. "It was singing and singing and singing," Mandy said. "I got to go in and sing Joni Mitchell's Help Me. I mean, how often do you get to read a scene and sing a Joni Mitchell song in an audition?!"

I mean I think she means like, of course he will be involved because they are both musicians and it's her husband you know... kind of think the article took it a bit far hehe

Reese Witherspoon Compares Hobo to Leonardo Dicaprio

Thank you, Reese Witherspoon for being the one to say it: Robert Pattinson is the heartthrob of the 2000s, just like Leonardo DiCaprio was in the 1990s. While promoting her upcoming rom-com "How Do You Know," Reese talked a bit about working with Rob on "Water for Elephants" and the crazed fan attention that he got on set.

"The only thing I can compare it to is when Leo was in 'Titanic,'" she told MTV News. "It was that kind of fervor about a person. The women lining up outside the set—it was just unbelievable—till 5 o'clock in the morning waiting to just glimpse him."

"Water for Elephants'" Tennessee set was across the country from "The Twilight Saga"'s Vancouver set, but that didn't stop fans from staking out to see their favorite sparkly vampire in action. And they already knew what Reese gradually learned on set: He is definitely a British babe. "He is extraordinarily attractive. I'm not gonna lie," she admitted.

That might be a bit weird coming from the woman who played Rob's mom in "Vanity Fair," but obviously a lot has changed since 2004. Rob was only 18 then and hadn't even starred in his breakout role in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" yet. Now he's the man that can send millions of women into swoons just by batting his eyelashes.

"Robert is such a great guy from a great family," Reese told us. "That's the thing that's so funny. He's not really this bad boy; he's just a great guy and really worked hard on 'Water for Elephants.' He really worked long hours, long days. He looks totally different in the movie."

We saw some paparazzi shots from "Water for Elephants" a couple months back, but we're still waiting on a trailer for it. Considering the film is set for release on April 15, you can expect that we'll be seeing one hitting the web soon.

Clearly this generation has terrible taste.

Did Legendtina get some new tatas?

During Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera's rapid rise to fame in the late '90s, both stars were subjected to endless scrutiny and speculation that they upgraded their physical assets.

Now, new photos may provide confirmation – at least for one of them.

Aguilera, in Tokyo Tuesday to promote her film "Burlesque," raised her arm to greet spectators, revealing a scar in her right armpit.

The incision is a common sign of transaxillary endoscopic breast augmentation, according to the Daily Mail, where implants are inserted through the armpit.

The 29-year-old mother of one has never directly commented on the rumors that she may have had a boob job, but Aguilera seemed hardly concerned at the event about potentially revealing her secret.

The singer, who turns 30 later this month, happily posed with a birthday cake while her co-stars, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet, clapped.

A rep for Aguilera has not yet commented on the Daily Mail's claim.

Demi Lovato will end up paying for her 'sucker punch'

Looks like Demi Lovato won't have to get a day pass from rehab in order to attend court after all.

Don Karpel, the attorney for back up dancer Alex "Shorty" Welch—who claims that Lovato assaulted her on the Camp Rock 2 tour, shortly before the Sonny With a Chance star entered rehab to deal with "personal" issues—tells E! Online that Lovato and her legal team are agreeable to striking a deal in order to avoid a lawsuit over the issue.

The revelation comes following news that Welch was preparing to launch legal proceedings against the Disney starlet over the October incident. Says Karpel,

"I have engaged in discussions with Demi Lovato's attorney. I'm fairly confident we will be able to resolve these issues."

Team Lovato confirms the negotiations, with a Demi spokesperson saying,

"Demi's attorneys have had an initial discussion with Mr. Karpel. They are exploring the possibility of an amicable resolution of this matter. We do not plan on making further public comments during this process."

According to TMZ, Welch was sitting on a private plane in late October with the rest of the crew from the JoBros and Demi's South American tour when Demi "walked up to Alex with a closed fist [and] struck her on the left side of her face."

On Monday, Karpel announced that he would be pursuing legal actions within "the next seven to 10 days." Welch, who reportedly suffered bruises under her left eye and on her left cheek, consulted a cosmetic surgeon following the attack, according to Karpel.

True Blood Season 4 Casting News!

True Blood has tapped Hawthorne actress Christina Moore to join the season 4 cast as a recurring. Moore — whose credits also include MADtv, That '70s Show, and 90210 — will play Suzanne McKittrick, a WASPy Texas housewife who possesses certain special abilities. Moore will shoot her True Blood arc while on hiatus from Hawthorne; production on the TNT drama's third season (its first with new showrunner John Tinker) is scheduled to get underway this spring.

Also landing multi-episode arcs on the upcoming season of True Blood are Neil Hopkins (a.k.a. Charlie's brother Liam on Lost) as Claude, Claudine’s (Lara Pulver) mysterious brother, and Chris Butler (The Good Wife) as Emory, a prissy and conservative shapeshifter with his own agenda. Both are repped by SDB Partners. Hopkins is managed by One Talent; Butler by Pine River

I don't like their TV Claude and Claudine choices, but at least they picked someone hot as Claude, lol. That being said, I can't wait until June!!!!

Elizabeth Edwards dies

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Elizabeth Edwards, the political wife whose public battle with breast cancer, coping with marital infidelity and continued advocacy for the downtrodden raised her profile above that of her husband, died Tuesday, WRAL News has learned. She was 61.

Edwards died at her Chapel Hill home, where family and friends had gathered in recent days after doctors informed her that her cancer had spread and recommended that she not undergo further treatment.

Edwards was first diagnosed with cancer in the waning days of the 2004 presidential campaign, when her husband, then-U.S. Sen. John Edwards, was the Democratic nominee for vice president. The couple didn't disclose her illness until after the election.

The cancer went into remission after surgery and months of treatment, but it resurfaced in early 2007, as John Edwards was mounting a second run at the White House. The Edwardses agreed at the time that they wouldn't allow the cancer to derail his candidacy.

Because the cancer had moved into her bones, her doctors said at that time that it was no longer curable but could be treated.

Cate Blanchett To Reprise Role as Galadriel in The Hobbit

"Cate Blanchett had better start brushing up on her Elvish. The Australian actress has signed on to the cast of director Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy epic The Hobbit, reprising the role of the ethereal elf Galadriel that she played in Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. The announcement of Blanchett’s casting comes as something of a surprise, since the character of Galadriel doesn’t actually appear in Tolkien’s novel. Then again, there are virtually no female characters in the book whatsoever, so Jackson is clearly looking to balance out the two-part film somewhat in terms of gender."

"I was born and raised in Miami Beach, grew up in those swank hotel lobbies. I love that world and those stories. Miami in the early ‘60s was a tropical crossroads, America’s Casablanca. Khloe Kardashian Compares TSA Procedures To Rape

Over the weekend, I flew from NYC to San Diego for my grandma’s funeral. On the way there, my brother and I both had to be sent through the TSA’s new screening and pat-down checks, while my mom had to deal with both on the way back. Personally, I wasn’t bothered by the procedure. I found it slowed down the security process, but I didn’t feel violated in any way. I stood in front of the scanner, held my arms above my head, and the machine sent the scan (which exposed my bra and underroos, I guess?) upstairs to some security person, who then told the security officer downstairs where on my person to double check for suspicious objects. A friendly lady did a little light frisking and three minutes later I was on my way to my gate. No biggie. But Khloe Kardashian didn’t have such a laid-back experience or reaction to a recent scan and pat-down. She told George Lopez on “Lopez Tonight” that the new TSA procedures are akin to rape.

“Well, they basically just are raping you in public. I got asked the other day, do you want to go for a screening or get padded down, I don’t want that X-Ray to see everything, honey. The people are so aggressive! It’s like, ‘Chill out, you didn’t find anything on me yet, calm down. They say, ‘OK, I’m going to be patting you down and I’m going to be touching the crease of your ass.’ That is so inappropriate!

You know, I get the criticism of these new TSA scans, for the most part, I really do, but hysterically comparing them to rape really doesn’t, heh, fly with me.

"When Frankie heard he was there she sidled over to him and said hello. After a brief chat she perched on his knee to talk more privately."

Unfortunately, Ashley was too busy texting to even noticed the hot girl band member sitting in his lap.

Flawless legend beats cancer, now climbs mountain for charity

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova embarked Monday on her attempt to summit Tanzania's Mt. Kilimanjaro in an effort to raise funds for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, a charity helping disadvantaged youth worldwide through sports-based projects.

The nine-time Wimbledon champion is joined on the challenge by a group of 27 fundraisers, including German Paralympic cyclist Michael Teuber and British Olympic badminton star Gail Emms.

Ascending via the Rongai Route, it is expected to take six to seven days to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, which at 19,340 feet is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.

"I've been planning to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro since early this year, even before my breast cancer diagnosis, so it feels really great to finally be underway," Navratilova said as the team was about to depart. "I'm feeling well prepared for the challenge, and although I'm sure we'll all be in for a tough few days of climbing, I am determined to reach the summit."

Johnny Depp Wants To Do A '21 Jumpstreet' Cameo, There is a God

"Call him. I'm in. I'm in," Depp said. "I think it'd be pretty easy."

There's no word if Depp would reprise his role as Hanson or step into a new part, but Hill has told us in the past the film won't be a spoof of the original show but a "a hard-core, R-rated movie" that focuses on the fish-out-of-water scenario of cops returning to high school to pose as students in the name of undercover investigative work.

"What happens is, they get caught up in the high school-ness as opposed to the police work," he said last year. "And whenever they get too caught up in the high school drama, police work comes in. And whenever they get too caught up in the police work, high school drama comes in."

Ryan Gosling: Female Pleasure is "Pornography," According to MPAA

What has Ryan Gosling getting all worked up?

The star of the sexy new film Blue Valentine sat down with E! News' Ben Lyons, and when the conversation turned to the controversy over the film's NC-17 rating, the Oscar-nominated actor just couldn't keep his cool...

"You are going to get me all angry now," he said. "Don't get me going!"

While he said his Valentine costar Michelle Williams has been much more "Zen" about the situation, Ryan didn't hold back with his opinion about the Motion Picture Association of America or MPAA, which determines a film's rating.

"The MPAA really needs to...There is something very distorted about this reality that they've created, which is that it is OK to torture women on screen...Any kind of violence towards women in a sexual scenario is fine. But give a woman pleasure, no way. Not a chance. That's pornography."

Check out the video to hear what else Ryan had to say about the rating, how he thinks it'll affect the movie and why he's only willing to work with crazy people at this point in his career.

“It was super, super private,” a source tells PEOPLE of Spears and Trawick’s stay. “They didn’t worry about paparazzi or anything. It was just them being able to be themselves, together.”
Adds the source, “In a huge, amazing house, it was a total romantic birthday getaway.”

'The Fighter' L.A. Premiere

We get to see so much of Mark Wahlberg that you will have to excuse for going on a bit about Christian Bale! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen the star of “The Dark Knight” and “Public Enemies” hit the red carpet at the Paramount Pictures’ “The Fighter” premiere held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Monday, December 6th, 2010 in Hollywood, California.

While Mr. Bale was joined by his wife Sibi Blazic, his co-star Mark Wahlberg took to the carpet with his statuesque bride Rhea Durham.

Also in attendance were director David O'Russell, co-stars Amy Adams and Melissa Leo, actress Virginia Madsen, and Dicky Eklund whom Bale plays in the film.

The Fighter, is a drama about boxer “Irish” Micky Ward’s unlikely road to the world light welterweight title. His Rocky-like rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded in life after nearly being KO’d by drugs and crime.

You can catch the boxing drama in theaters on December 20th, 2010.

Britney Music Rumors- Shhhh!

Lately I’m sort of over music rumors because there have been SO many that lead absolutely no where. We had multiple sites across the damned internet hiway all claiming they had priviledged information about Britney’s 7th album but not a damn thing came to fruition – so I gave up.
Frankly, it was way too time consuming for someone like me because I already spend about 12 hours a day trying to deliver real news and gossip.

Fear not, Finnchel fans! The producers and cast have heard your howls of woe in response to last week's big breakup between Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith). I just chatted with Mike Chang himself, aka the extremely cool Harry Shum Jr., and he says, "[Executive producer] Brad Falchuk, when we were filming, came up to me and was like 'Wow, we're getting hit really hard right now—people are going nuts over it.' " So what's next for Finn and Rachel, not to mention Mike Chang and his lady Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz)? Lady Dior - 'Lady Grey London'

For the fourth installment of Christian Dior's Lady Dior campaign, the film is this time set in London. Marion Cotillard is back again to play the lead role of "Lady Grey" opposite Ian McKellen and Russell Tovey. Directed by John Cameron Mitchell, Cotillard plays a burlesque performer who seduces McKellen and Tovey before disappearing.

"In this movie, there is something that is different than the others, there's a very strong, young, childlike part of Lady Grey - the way she plays, the way she's very genuine," said Cotillard.

American Idol Becomes Even More Like X Factor

Producers Mulling Top 12 House, Vegas Trip

Fox and American Idol producers are planning more changes for the upcoming pivotal tenth season.

"Transparency" is the production theme this year, an idea being championed by series mastermind Simon Fuller. It means producers are looking to add behind-the-scenes elements and find ways to have the singers interact with fans.

These plans are still in development and could change, but as of now producers intend to have the Top 12 live together in a house in the Hollywood Hills. There, they will be allowed to chat with fans via Twitter. Singers had social media accounts for a period of time last season, then the accounts were abruptly consolidated into a single Idol feed midway through the run. Word is producers will further relax their Twitter rules for season ten.
