Tifa Lockhart

2010 is home to some very excellent movies (Inception, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Pt 1, The Lovely Bones, How To Train Your Dragon, Black Swan). And as the year is coming to a close, we welcome a new year with some brand new movies. I complied a list of some films to keep your eye for out over the course of the year.

So, ONTD, what movies are you all looking forward to in the upcoming year? :)

FURIOUS X Factor fans last night claimed Cher Lloyd has an unfair advantage after show boss Simon Cowell fixed it for her to duet with judge Cheryl Cole on her debut album – and then put her through to the final.

Pop guru Simon, 51, gave the fragile 17-year-old a huge boost before last night’s crucial semi-final public vote.

He confirmed on live telly that Cher and Cheryl would sing together on a track produced on the teenager’s first album.

Cher’s £2million deal means she will be the biggest winner of the series, regardless of the result of this weekend’s final.

Simon’s record label Syco_News even published a “Vote Cher” slogan with her phone number on Twitter yesterday.

It stated: “Vote Lines still Open! To vote for Cher Lloyd call 0901 61 61 104.” It then urged users to re-Tweet the message.

Only later, following complaints from fans of the other acts, did they repeat the message for her rivals.

Elle Fanning in Teen Vouge

"I just had a breakthrough!" exclaims up-and-comer Elle Fanning, referring, rather surprisingly, not to a challenging role in a new film (although she has quite a few of those in the works) but to her recent ballet lesson. "I did three pirouettes in a row. Afterward, I screamed with happiness," explains the Los Angeleno, who straps on her pink pointe shoes for practice five days a week.

Dakota has a tag? Why couldn't it be just "Fanning sisters"?

X FACTOR was plunged into a new “fixing” storm last night as Dublin Tesco worker Mary Byrne was given the boot.

Angry viewers bombarded ITV1 with complaints and flooded websites, claiming the show was “more corrupt than Fifa”.

They were furious after show bosses introduced a sing-off into the semi-finals – and claimed the judges should have saved Mary rather than teenager Cher Lloyd, who collapsed in tears.

Last year Danyl Johnson lost out in the semis after polling the lowest vote and the year before Diana Vickers was evicted after failing to impress the public.

But at the last minute this year X Factor announced a sing-off for the first time ever in the semi finals – giving the judges a chance to save an act.

Fans were outraged by the move, which was not mentioned before last night’s show.

It meant 17-year-old Cher went through despite the fact she could have polled the lowest vote of all the acts.

The decision to introduce the sing-off came so late that it was not even mentioned on the show’s official website.

Some viewers were also surprised at Dannii Minogue’s decision to save Cher – despite them regularly clashing on this series.

On website Digital Spy, fan Jamie Macdonald wrote: “The X Factor is more corrupt than Fifa.”

Even before the results another web user called Red Cherry, said: “This is such a fix – it’s obvious the judges are going to save Cher, and she knows it. At what stage in the show is it totally down to public vote for the bottom two?”

After the decision Athena 17 said: “OMG! I can’t believe this! They didn’t get the result they wanted, so they’re going to try and get rid of Mary.

“This is absolutely ridiculous. If this is how the X Factor is going to be here in the States then I am not watching.”
Collapse )
Sources say Cheryl Cole was in tears after last night’s show, and claimed it was because the crowd booed Cher when she was in the bottom two. She was later seen being consoled by Simon Cowell.

An X Factor spokesman last night denied any suggestion of a fix, saying: “As a show evolves there are always changes to the format.”

Demi Lovato’s Dad to Dancer: Don’t Sue My Daughter

She’s been working on overcoming some personal issues as of late, and Demi Lovato is getting some fatherly support along the way.

The “Sonny with a Chance” star’s dad Patrick Lovato has issued a warning to Alex Walsh, the backup dancer who allegedly got into a physical altercation with Demi just before she entered rehab.

Papa Lovato told press, "Demi has really good lawyers and so does Disney, this girl shouldn't sue. She won't win."

"Demi is so successful and and she has plenty of money, that's why this girl would be going after her. She wouldn't do this if Demi wasn't famous."

Pop Stars to Stage Silent Protest Against X Factor

Later today, Pete Doherty, the Kooks, Billy Bragg, Imogen Heap, Orbital and many more will gather in a London studio, collaborating in a bid for this year's Christmas No 1. But the strangest bit is not the team-up: it's that they are not recording a single note. The ad hoc supergroup is assembling in support of Cage Against the Machine, a charity campaign to take John Cage's infamous 4'33" – a composition of pure silence – to the top of the Yuletide charts.

The campaign has been gathering momentum over the past couple of months, winning celebrity endorsements, amused press coverage and around 60,000 Facebook fans. Their inspiration is obvious: last year's successful push to raise Rage Against the Machine's Killing In the Name, released in 1992, over X Factor winner Joe McElderry's The Climb. In 2010, instead of loosing a profanity-laden rap-rock tirade on the British public, Cage Against the Machine organisers want to unfurl the serene sound of silence, taking on whoever wins X Factor next week. The plan recalls a similar star-studded silence for this year's Remembrance Day.

What if Stuart Baggs actually wins The Apprentice?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Everything he touches turns to sold – and Lord Sugar might just buy in to Baggs the brand in the boardroom

With his now notorious boast of being "Stuart Baggs – the brand", it quickly became clear that this year's Apprentice star was going to be a certain telecoms mogul from the Isle of Man. A shower-chewing, champagne-eschewing, David Brent-alike who has followed in the cloven-hoofed footsteps of Katie Hopkins as the hopeful we love to hate.

Baggs began in a blaze of blowhard glory, abusing passers-by during the sausage task, before lying low for a few weeks. Now he's swaggered back to the fore with two successive task wins and a new nickname, "Herr Baggs" – which sounds like the sort of growth that old people get surgically removed. With the field narrowed down to seven, at least two of whom (cocky Jamie Lester, whinging Laura Moore) Lord Sugar clearly hates, it suddenly makes you wonder: Baggs couldn't win this thing, could he?

How Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Wiig Kidnapped Ryan Gosling's Dog

Lock up your pets when Kirsten Dusnt and Kristen Wiig are around.

Dunst tells PopcornBiz that while filming the true-crime-inspired thriller “All Good Things,” she and the “Saturday Night Live” comedienne shook off the darkness of the pitch-black story by targeting co-star Ryan Golsing’s dog for their own true-crime kidnapping scheme.

“Once we abducted Ryan’s dog and dressed him up and shot a bunch of pictures, and sent them back to Ryan over e-mail with all these weird messages from his dog,” laughs Dunst. “I had the best time with her. It was a relief, because it was such a heavy movie, so to have her around was really, really fun.”

In the film, Dunst plays a character directly inspired by Kathleen McCormack, a woman who mysteriously vanished in the 1982, her disappearance and presumed death long suspected to be caused by her allegedly mentally unstable husband, New York real estate scion Robert Durst, played in fictionalized form in the film by Gosling (Wiig plays her supportive gal pal).

After a two-year hiatus from the screen, Dunst tackled the role from every angle, including spending time with the real McCormack’s family, to better paint a portrait of why the beautiful and promising young woman was not able to escape the pull toward her husband after their relationship took a dark turn.

“I think every woman goes through the relationship where she’s with the guy that’s really not right for her and you kind of get lost in it,” says Dunst. “But I think that I’d never gotten to that point of enmeshment that I couldn’t see my way out of it.”

The actress is pleased to be back to work but not following any specifically charted comeback course. “I don’t have any plan. I’m not very ‘I only want to do serious films,’ or something like that,” she says. “We shot ‘All Good Things’ two years ago. In those two years, I waited for a year, I just read scripts and waited, then I took ‘Upside Down’ last spring, then I had a couple of months off in the summer, then I did Lars von Trier’s movie [‘Melencholia’] for two months, then I’ve had off since like September.”

She’s about to film the adaptation of the Beat Generation’s most iconic novel, Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. “I’m playing Carolyn Cassady, the role that’s Camille in the book,” she says. “I was a fan of On the Road, but mostly because I had a crush on a guy when I was 15 or 16, so I read the book. It’s so poetic, the way it’s written, but it’s definitely more of a masculine connection, I think, for a reader. I was more of a Sylvia Plath –Female roles in On the Road were smaller than the books that I’m usually interested in.”

Lance Bass Campaigning for Justin Timberlake for Oscar in 'The Social Network'

Even after all these years, Lance Bass and Justin Timberlake are still very much ‘n sync.

Lance doesn’t hesitate to name the film of 2010 he thinks stands above the rest — “The Social Network” — and who from the film is especially deserving of a wink from the Academy.

“I think ‘The Social Network’ just made sense for everyone,” he told NextMovie exclusively. “It was something that everyone had in common. Everyone could relate to it. Even I finally got a Facebook page, and honestly, it changed my life. The movie captured that revolution, and Justin helped capture that revolution.”

So, does he think his former bandmate deserves an Oscar?

“Of course! Justin did an amazing job in the movie. He was incredible. I think the movie itself should be nominated for sure as well. I mean, why not?”

Lance last saw Justin at the New York premiere of the movie. “I was excited to see Justin regardless, but then, when I saw the film, it just blew me away. And he blew me away. His portrayal of Sean was just amazing.”

Asked if he gave Justin any tips on his performance after seeing the film, Lance joked, “Yeah. I’m gonna give him tips.”

Feist Talks Reminder Documentary
"I wanted to show the smoke and mirrors a little bit."

Feist's new documentary Look at What the Light Did Now is a humble and impressionistic chronicle of the making of her modern classic, The Reminder. The film highlights the visual and sonic collaborators that amplified her music and vision in the studio and on tour, including music video director Patrick Daughters (who did "1234" and "I Feel It All"), photographer Mary Rozzi (who shot the album cover), and shadow puppet artist Clea Minaker (who designed and executed onstage projections during The Reminder tour). Running with the "amp" analogy, Feist herself warns in the film: "You play through the wrong amps and you end up sounding like Dire Straits." Too true.

The DVD-- which comes with a 13-track CD of live songs and Reminder covers by Gonzales-- is out today in Europe and tomorrow, December 7, in North America. When we called her up last week, Feist-- who's planning to make her next album this winter, btw-- chatted with us about the awesomeness of Prince, giving away just enough mystery, and why most concert movies are totally pointless. Jimmy Stewart Museum needs a George Bailey miracle

"It's touch and go right now. We need a cash influx to help us get through this challenging time," museum director says.

Highlights from the article...

“This museum’s not just about Jimmy Stewart — it’s about America,” says museum host Pat Ward. “His life takes us through the life of The Greatest Generation.”

Offscreen, Stewart was a real-life Boy Scout, a war hero, a father and a consummate gentleman.

The five-time best actor nominee was born in Indiana, Pa., on May 20, 1908. His father owned the local hardware store in a building that today is across the street from the museum honoring his son. The hardware store was a local curiosity because it was where Stewart displayed the 1940 best actor Oscar he won for “The Philadelphia Story.” Customers admired it there next to the cash register when they paid for things like hammers and plumbing supplies.

One of the museum’s most cherished exhibits is the actual front door from the home (of the Stewart family at 918 North Roxbury in Beverly Hills), sold and demolished after Stewart’s death in 1997 at age 89. Visitors peek through the door’s peephole and imagine what it was like to see frequent guests such as Stewart friends Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope, Johnny Carson and Gregory Peck standing outside.

“Growing up there made you not want to grow up,” daughter Kelly Stewart Harcourt is quoted as saying.

The museum shows a life imbued with joy on- and offscreen. Museum board member Pauline Simms says the people today look at the exhibits, recall the movies and marvel at a man so talented and, gosh, just so darn normal.

“The one comment we hear most of all is,‘They just don’t make ‘em like him any more,” she says.

Former X Factor Contestant Wagner doesn't Want Matt Cardle to Win

Former X Factor star Wagner Carrilho has reportedly revealed that he doesn't want Matt Cardle to win the competition.

The singer, who is said to have had several disagreements with Cardle throughout his time on the show, criticised him for making negative comments in the press about his fellow contestants.

He told the Sunday Mirror: "I don't know who will win. It could be Matt but I wouldn't like him to win. All I know is that he doesn't talk to anybody and that he was in the papers for saying that Katie Waissel was an attention-seeking wh*re.

"I asked Matt if he had said that and he said he had. I thought, 'Oh this guy is immature and he is nasty'. Then I found out Matt was saying to the papers I was an 'effing joke'. I said to him, 'OK, you're entitled to your opinion. What a good opinion you have about yourself.

"You think you are some kind of Pavarotti but you don't even sing like a man. You sing like a baby screaming to have its nappy changed'. He was shocked but he carried on swearing and then left."

The Walking Dead season finale goes out with a bang....literally.

On the season finale of The Walking Dead — "TS-19" — the survivors become acclimated to their new home, but something's not entirely right in this would-be paradise. Spoiler a-go-go!

PRO: The episode opens with a flashback of Shane trying to extricate a comatose Rick from the hospital. It's a total shitshow — the military is executing patients, walkers are eating the military, and Shane is desperately trying to slap his coma victim pal awake. Shane finally gives up when Rick's monitors break, and he can't hear a heartbeat. We see that he really damn did try to get his friend out, and that he wasn't lying to Lori about Rick's "death." It's good to see they're not making him a stock character here.
PRO: Shane's jury-rigged plan for keeping quasi-dead Rick safe? A bed in front of a door. Hey, it worked.

VH1's New 'Sex & the City' Reality Show: For 'Big Women' Only

Do “big girls” have more fun than the likes of Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha? Well, that’s what a new reality show is trying to prove.

Pop Tarts has learned that VH1, in association with Doron Ofir Casting and Left Right Productions, is now casting “the hottest, most bodacious, voluptuous single women in Los Angeles” for a brand new docu-series that will show “a long-awaited glimpse into the ultra-fab world of big girls!”

According to the casting release, “skinny bi**hes need to step aside” as this series is strictly for gals who “have their cake and eat it too.”

But this is certainly no weight-loss promotion program like “The Biggest Loser” or dating-related show like “More to Love.”

“There have been shows to spotlight bigger women, but there has never been a show to celebrate being a woman in a body type that they are totally comfortable with,” casting agent Doron Ofir told us. “This is going to be the ‘Sex & the City’ from big girls’ perspectives.”

She calls [Kanye] almost non-stop and wants to know what she should do." The insider reportedly OVERHEARD the conversation between Kanye and Kim, with her OWN EARS.

So when can we expect an announcement.'s snitch explained, "Knowing Kim, she'll coincide it with her show, in one episode her and Kanye go out on a date."

'The Roloffs' Ready To Say Goodbye
The hourlong finale of Little People, Big World starts at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.

Tonight marks the end of an era as Little People, Big World comes to a close.

The TLC series began in 2006 and became a ratings hit for the cable network, despite its lack of standard reality fare: Instead of bickering, team eliminations and sexy contestants, the show depicted a normal American family, where the parents (and one of their four children) happened to be little people.

"Almost every other word out of our mouths was 'as a little person,'" Matt Roloff tells the Vancouver Sun. "We saw ourselves as missionaries, if you will, to encourage parents not to abort their little person, to encourage little people to understand what they could do with their lives."

Over the years, we've watched the Roloffs take vacations, celebrate holidays and milestones and go about their daily lives. In tonight's back-to-back episodes, we'll see the twins as they explore moving into their own apartment and Matt and his wife, Amy, as they consider selling Roloff Farms, their home for the last 20 years.

this makes me sad. i have been watching them since they started (and i was kinda hoping amy would ditch matt before it ended)

Earlier today the organization had only raised $300K in donations and in a matter of hours they reached and exceeded their goal thanks to billionaire and noted philanthropist Stewart Rahr, who generously offered to match this amount. (tmz reports he donated roughly $500,000)

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the fans, friends and artists who joined this cause,” said Alicia Keys. “I'm incredibly inspired by all of the donations that have been made to help us achieve our goal and so humbled by the outpour of support from everyone.”

Ryan Gosling covers NY Magazine

The molotov cocktail—a Stoli bottle filled with flammable strawberry liqueur—was his idea. He wanted it to look legit, so he studied James Nachtwey’s documentary photos of rioters in Gaza to get the position of his hand on the bottle just right. The original plan was to toss it at a blown-up photo of himself, but the necessary printer wasn’t available. Also, there was the possibility of burning the building down. So he found a target at the end of the Culver City alleyway behind the photographer’s studio, practicing for a while with empty bottles. Then, as the camera clicked away, Ryan Gosling lit up and hurled, laughing dementedly at the subsequent explosion, before blowing it all out with a fire extinguisher. (Recorded for your pleasure, here.)

Playing the ukulele was Gosling’s idea, too.

Like a lot of men in their twenties and thirties (and he’s just 30), Gosling is meandering toward adulthood. He has a boyish enthusiasm for risk and danger, and some of his affectations can border on precious. But his charm is too inexorable for us to care. (How else to explain that, even when the Canadian admits to faking his gravelly Brooklyn accent, you like him all the more.) “Ryan is kind and adorable,” says actress Kirsten Dunst, “yet also really dark and weird and manipulative. Everything you’d want in an actor.”
But in a leading man? Dark and weird have not, historically, been Hollywood’s go-to qualities for its top stars. Yet thanks to a new crop of brainy, complicated, and highly autonomous actors—James Franco (Howl, 127 Hours), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), and Joseph Gordon-Levitt ([500] Days of Summer, Hesher) in America; Tom Hardy (Bronson, Inception) and Michael Fassbender (Hunger, Fish Tank) in Europe—a new prototype is seeping into the mainstream. “Some of us are tired of all the sissies in this town,” says Gosling. “The ones who go along, flow with the flow, line up where they’re told to line up at. The studios want you to make the same movie over and over again—if that’s the movie they liked, that’s the movie you should keep making.”

EXCLUSIVE I've just learned that Neill Blomkamp is reteaming with his District 9 star Sharlto Copley on his second sci-fi feature Elysium. Copley played Wikus van de Merwe in District 9 as well as HM Murdock in this summer's The A-Team reboot. Meanwhile, director Blomkamp and Media Rights Capital now need to choose a distributor. "Neil is taking meetings all over town. There is a lot of interest from every studio," an insider tells me. I hear Blomkamp is including a graphic novel in his presentation. Elysium is Blomkamp's long-awaited story set in the far future on another planet and, like District 9, is filled with many sociopolitical ideas wrapped up inside a Hollywood action film. So far no one else has been cast. "They have been working out budget and are now meeting with actor reps," the insider tells me. Universal and MRC have a deal, but I hear this sweepstakes to distribute Elysium is wide open. Remember when Universal and Fox would have had to gamble on the then unknown filmmaker to make the videogame Halo into a big budget film but couldn't get it together even though Blomkamp was to be backstopped by Peter Jackson and his WETA facilities? Morons!) Instead, Blomkamp and Jackson made District 9 which went on to gross $211M at the worldwide box office but the indieprod only had a negative cost of $30M. The alien apartheid film also snagged one of last year's 10 Best Picture Oscar nominations. Sony Pictures is still pushing for a sequel, which Elysium is not. The secret of District 9's success is that it was made outside the studio system and marketed outside the studio formula, and contained edgy and original content and an unknown but fresh South African cast. It now looks as if Elysium is travelling the same road.

You know I would be using a gif right now to express my joy, BUT TUMBLR ISN'T WORKING RIGHT NOW (and I'm also too lazy to search for a gif in another place) >:|

Man Legally Changes His Name to Captain Awesome

The Oregonian formerly known as Douglas Allen Smith Jr. finally got permission to legally change his name to Captain Awesome. Any reader who — like Awesome — watches the television show “Chuck” will not be surprised to know how he chose his new moniker. It was, indeed, inspired by a character on the NBC action/drama series: Dr. Devon “Captain Awesome” Woodcomb.

“I just thought it was really funny that Devon’s father always called him Captain Awesome because ‘a poor nickname builds good character,’ ” said the local Awesome, an out-of-work cabinet installer.

Awesome said he had to jump through an extra hoop to legally change his name. Most such requests are approved in informal “ex-parte” hearings with Lane County judges. In Awesome’s case, however, the judge who considered his name change in that setting balked at granting it.

That judge — whose name Awesome cannot remember and who is not identified in Awesome’s court records — questioned his seriousness. The judge also advised him to hire an attorney to represent him in a formal oral argument for the change.

But Awesome decided to go it alone. He felt confident after researching name change precedents at the University of Oregon Law School library.

princess post!

Amy on her role in "The Fighter":

When I got the role, David informed me that I looked like a girl who couldn’t punch which made me want to punch him. So I actually took just a couple boxing lessons and that was fun with Mark’s trainer who was fantastic and then we just did some fight choreography. I think it was about not being afraid of hurting anybody. That was my biggest concern. I didn’t want to hurt the girl that I was fighting with. I wasn’t afraid of getting hurt myself. When I was younger, my sister thought it was funny to pretend to punch me in the face because my mom was concerned about my teeth falling out. They were loose for a long time, and she knocked out my teeth. So I’ve always been a little afraid of fake punches. But it was fun. I had a good time.

Could 'No Strings Attached' Be Natalie Portman's 'Norbit'?

Natalie Portman is deservedly receiving the best reviews of her career for her performance in director Darren Aronofsky's 'Black Swan.' In the film, Portman plays Nina, a ballerina who buckles in her pursuit of perfection as the lead in a production of 'Swan Lake' and descends deep into madness. It's a wild, terrifying performance in an artful, psychologically-complex thriller, and Portman nails it.

If anyone is going to best presumed Oscar frontrunner Annette Bening for this year's Best Actress prize, it's Portman. Their performances are a study in opposites: Bening is subtly incarnate in 'The Kids Are Alright,' her character's anger plays out more in cold glances and pursed lips than it does in hysterics, while Portman goes for broke in 'Swan,' losing her mind in a cascade of violence, tears, pirouettes and gore. Which actress Oscar voters go for will likely have more to do with personal preference than who gave the "better" performance. Those inclined to celebrate nuance will lean toward Bening; voters who champion wild-eyed intensity will check Portman's name on the ballot.

Keanu was probably in the middle of shaving off his beard when he got distracted by the sweet scent of a cupcake and dropped his razor to frown at it, but it works for me. It sort of looks like the furry outline of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Interview With 'The Walking Dead' Creator Robert Kirkman - *SPOILERS*

IGN talks to Robert Kirkman about AMC's game-changing season finale and what comic book elements might be in the hotly anticipated Season 2

December 6, 2010

(Warning to TV viewers who haven't read the comics: This Q&A contains spoilers about the Walking Dead comic book series, as well as potential spoilers for Season 2)

As much as we've all gotten used to shortened 12 to 13-episode cable seasons, AMC's even shorter six-episode first season of The Walking Dead definitely left us wanting more. In the finale, "TS-19," Rick, Lori, Shane, Daryl and the rest quickly found out that the CDC, which seemed like a dream come true (hot water!) was nothing more than a death trap. IGN had a chance to talk to comic book series creator/TV series exec producer, Robert Kirkman, about the episode, which raised a ton of new questions for rabid fans of the comic book series.

Yes, Shane's still alive and heading into Season 2 to cause problems for Rick and Lori (along with the mysterious whisper from Jenner), but what else is in store for us next year?

Jesse Eisenberg on Awards Season, Narcissism and His Feelings About an Oscar Nomination

Last week I met actor Jesse Eisenberg for a lengthy discussion of subjects ranging from his coming-of-age in the New York theater to his beloved Zombieland and his awards-season prospects for The Social Network. We covered a lot of ground, which I’ll be retracing this week in a five-part series here at Movieline.

Let it be said, once and for all: Jesse Eisenberg is not shy. The young actor the media so often describes as nerdy or awkward in fact hinted at an endearing unpredictability last Thursday afternoon: Mere minutes after learning his Social Network performance as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg nabbed him the National Board of Review award for Best Actor, Eisenberg phoned to ask if we could ditch our original diner meeting spot — and ditch his publicist, as it turned out — to meet early, just us, wherever I happened to be at the time.

That place was a bar in Hell’s Kitchen named, appropriately enough, “Social” — a location from which Eisenberg could see his former high school, as he very eagerly pointed out, through the window above our booth. It was a long way from Harvard — where Zuckerberg’s genius (and, some would argue, ruthlessness) led to the creation of the biggest social-media site on the planet — but an ideal backdrop to discuss the role of his life (to date), awards-season pressures, and why he much prefers discussing topics that have no substance.

Congratulations on the National Board of Review award. When did you find out?
Just on the way over. Yeah, they told me. But I’m not supposed to know — for somebody else to tell me who I’m supposed to be surprised by.

They sent out a press release.
Oh, did they? I purposefully isolate myself from anything that has to do with any press. I don’t read any press about myself. Oh, that sounds pretentious. I just mean it always ends up making me feel bad. They’ll put like, “Oh, he was great as the nerd in the movie” and I don’t sleep for a night. You know what I mean? Even though they said great things, anyway, it just makes me feel bad. It’s distracting from what I want to do.

A Delusional Bitch Post

is more delusional than Yoko Ono on LSD!

The one-legged former model — who got almost $50m following her divorce from Paul McCartney — has taken credit for the Beatles’ back catalog finally being available to download on Apple’s iTunes.

But Heather insists she has no plans to cash on its success — around two million Beatles hits were downloaded in the first week of last month’s launch.

“iTunes? I organized it all with Steve Jobs,” Heather told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.

“But there’s no way I am going back to court for more money. It was all settled at the time and that’s it.

“I’m also in training for the Olympics. I’ve been asked to train for the British Paralympic ski team. I went skiing in Austria recently and skied downhill as fast as an able-bodied person.”

Heather is aiming for the 2014 Paralympic Games in Russia.

“If it comes off, I’ll be 46 by then. That’ll probably be some kind of record,” she said.

Toronto has lost its 'voice'

A Legend Lost: Toronto mourns Mark Dailey, dead at 57

He was "The Voice" of Citytv, but for those who knew and loved iconic CityNews reporter and anchor Mark Dailey, it was his heart and soul that will resonate loudest.

After a long battle with cancer, Dailey passed away on Monday at Sunnybrook hospital. He was 57.

His storied career in news began in 1968, when he worked as a radio and television reporter in Ohio. He went on to cover the mean streets of Motor City as a radio anchor and crime reporter in Detroit before heading over the border and joining the CHUM family in 1974.

The rest, as they say, is history, with Dailey becoming one of the most recognizable, trusted, and revered newsmen in the city.

Before he reported on crime, Dailey was stopping it. He walked the beat as a police officer in Ohio, where he was born on August 1, 1953.

He also spent time working as a truck driver, and had various roles in the private security and music business --- experiences which provided fodder for the many tales he was known to entertain friends and acquaintances with.

He joined CityPulse in 1979, serving as an assignment editor and producer before taking over the Crime Beat for more than ten years, often donning his signature fedora.

His no-nonsense, baritone delivery was an instant hit, and he went on to anchor CityPulse and CityNews, celebrating his 30th anniversary with the station in 2009.

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004, Dailey went on to became a brave and vocal advocate for men's health, raising awareness and money through his unyielding efforts.

In September, 2010, Dailey announced on air that he was suffering from kidney cancer. A few short months later, the cancer spread to his lungs, ending his remarkable life.

Dailey is survived by his wife, Kim, and his daughter Nicole.

#Dailey is trending on Twitter. He's being remembered 'everywhere'. :) Thank you for the inspiration Mark. Rest well.

Justin Timberlake trips over his fat ego - halts production!

Justin Timberlake's on-set injury halts 'Now' production

Looks like Justin Timberlake's on-set injury rocked his body a little harder than we initially thought.

E! News confirms that filming of his new thriller, "Now," has temporarily been shut down in order to give Mr. JT time to recover. "Justin Timberlake sustained a muscle injury to his calf on the set," the production company has stated. "Production has taken a brief hiatus and will resume shortly."

Though the mishap occurred last Wednesday (Dec. 1), Justin continued filming that day and through the remainder of the week (what a trouper). It wasn't until Friday Dec. 3 that a prognosis was expected.

An insider tells E! News that shutdown should only last about two weeks, and that they are just waiting for the singer-turned-actor to bring his SexyBack off the crutches. He is reportedly still waiting on MRI results from his doctors.

Here's hoping JT will leave the rest of his stunts to the professionals. (I wish he would leave all acting to the professionals as well)

"Now" co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Wilde, and is expected to be released in Sept. 2011.
