Thanksgiving is this Thursday. I’ll let you chew on that morsel for a bit. You done? Okay. Although most stores ushered in the Christmas season the second after Halloween, let me assure you that the eat-until-you-burst holiday is still on this year. Let’s all take a collective sigh of relief; I kept thinking I’d missed it too.

If you’re like me (awesome), you may need some help getting in the TG spirit. Anyone? Ok, this list is for you, guy raising your hand in the back. Jay said: "He is a f****** nuisance. I was seated next to him on a flight and the whole trip he just kept farting. It was totally foul. He kept saying, 'Oh, that wasn't me' or, 'The meal smells a bit off, don't you think?' He drove me insane."
Things got so bad that Jay said if the pair ever share a flight again he would rather sit in economy.
He added: "At least I'd be able to breathe a bit. They banned smoking in the air and they should ban farting."
He makes a good point. I'd also ban those tiny drink cans.

Nearly three months after separating from her husband, Christina Aguilera has gone public with her new man — holding hands with him in L.A. over the weekend — but an insider tells Star she could be courting more heartache!

In the Dec. 6 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that the Burlesque star is jumping from a bad marriage to a risky romance with production assistant Matthew Rutler, who's also a guitarist in the Nate Mott Band. Christina met the New Jersey native last February on the set of Burlesque when she was still married to Jordan Bratman and they developed a secret friendship. Now, with her divorce in the works, she's moving on — quickly! — and has officially been dating Matthew since September.

“Christina is completely taken with Matthew," an insider tells Star. "But he’s a wild rocker type with a reputation as a ladies’ man."

And Matthew has been soaking up the benefits of having a famous girlfriend! “He networks like crazy with all the big names she introduces him to. He’s a major operator,” adds the insider. “And everything is on her dime, because he’s broke. Matt used to live in a crummy apartment with roommates; now he’s at her Beverly Hills mansion every night. He’s in heaven!”

He may be on cloud 9, but Christina’s friends are worried about the smitten star.

“She’s so fragile and isn’t seeing clearly,” says the source. “Everyone is concerned that it’s too much, too soon.”

WEDNESDAY 2:45 PM: Rival studios just told me that Walt Disney Studios' animated Tangled is opening today "much bigger than expected" than Hollywood's 5-day estimates of $35M to $40M. One source says it's double but that may be exaggerated. Yet even cautious Disney is telling me they're "seeing an uptick in our expectations". Interesting because the Thanksgiving holiday weekend estimate for blockbuster holdover Harry Potter And the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 is $90M. Clearly the new Disney regime did a great marketing job moving the Rapunzel fairy tale out of its Little Misses & Moms niche and into a wider demographic arena by emphasizing its comedic flair. Stay tuned tonight to see if I can legitimately use my planned-in-advance headline: "Hair No Match For Harry". I'll have a full box office report and analysis later on

Nickelodeon is facing criticism after a character on its tween hit, iCarly, wore a T-shirt with a logo of a cigarette rolling paper brand on a recent episode, the New York Post reports. Carly's older brother, Jerry Trainor (played by Spencer Shay) donned the Bambu Apparel T-shirt, as first noticed by the 14-year-old niece of the brand's owner, Sarah Saiger. "She took a screen shot of it with her phone and sent it to me," Saiger told the Post. "It was unbelievable to me that they didn't do any due diligence. I always made sure not to put advertisements for my clothes near kids. I don't want kids buying my shirts. My nieces and nephews are not allowed to wear the clothing. They can look at the artwork, but they do not wear the clothing." A Nickelodeon rep said, "The shirt was randomly selected from a national department store by a customer, and we had no idea what the design represented."

She's also had to continue to watch the clash between father Michael and mother Dina who have turned every news event surrounding their daughter into a 'he-said, she-said' battle royale. Even Lindsay's recent 'day pass' from the Betty Ford Center turned into a clash with rumors that Lindsay had Michael escorted out of her own apartment and Michael claiming it was all the work of Dina. "Dina needs a lot of help. She is so full of anger and jealousy and bitterness that God is going to get to her," he told us. "To imagine she would do this while our daughter is in recovery is sick." We hope that for the sake of Lindsay, everyone can come together and find some peace and quiet.

All right Twilighters, have we got a Thanksgiving treat for you! While "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" DVD doesn't come out until December 4, MTV News is delighted to present an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated release — complete with commentary from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!
This isn't just any clip either. Summit has kindly bestowed upon us a juicy little snippet from the fan favorite "tent scene."

In this clip, fans get to see the heated exchange between Edward (Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) as they discuss how Jacob will have to get into a sleeping bag with Bella (Stewart) in order to keep her warm and save her from freezing to death. Edward, of course, is not at all pleased with Jacob getting anywhere near Bella, but he must concede for Bella's sake. Jacob, taking advantage of the situation, revels in the fact that his warmer-than-normal body temperature means he can do for Bella what Edward can't.
The scene itself offers plenty of entertainment, but it's Pattinson and Stewart's hilarious voiceover commentary about the scene that really sells it.

It is the match made in heaven -- or hell, depending on your point of view -- as two TV behemoths join forces.

After a spate of rumours, the stars of 'Glee' have agreed to fly in to the UK to perform on 'X Factor', the first time the cast have appeared live on TV outside the States, reports Digital Spy.

The 12 actors from the hit US musical series are reportedly set to appear on the TV contest's results show on Sunday, Dec. 5 during the semi-finals weekend.

Scheduled to make the trip is the full complement of the high school glee club New Directions -- Rachel, Finn, Mercedes, Kurt, Artie, Tina, Puck, Quinn, Santana, Mike, Brittany and Sam Evans.

Next Monday, Nov. 29, sees the release of 'Glee: The Christmas Album', with the cast's renditions of festive classics, among them 'O Holy Night', 'Jingle Bells' and 'Last Christmas'.

Is Actor John Krasinski a Time Traveler?

Another suspected time traveler has been spotted, but this time a famous face is the center of attention.

A 1835 portrait painting at the Statens Museum for Kunst, a Danish gallery in Copenhagen, appears to be of actor and "The Office" star John Krasinski.

According to the Washington Post, the discovery was made by Ann Arbor, Mich., student Johanna Franzen and her boyfriend, just four days after an Irish filmmaker posted footage on YouTube of a woman who appears to be talking on a cell phone in a 1928 Charlie Chaplin film.

"The resemblance was so uncanny," she wrote in e-mail to the newspaper, "that we were joking about how it made us think it was some publicity stunt."

The museum's curator said the portrait is of Carl Adolf Feilberg, a soap- and candle-maker who was born in 1810 and was a friend of the painting's artist, Christen Kobke.

AVATAR BLU RAY EXTENDED COLLECTOR'S ADDITION REVIEW


The story of how Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) went to Pandora as a crippled marine, and became a Na’vi (a twelve-foot tall blue catlike creature), then a leader and warrior got to the core of some people, possibly because of how director James Cameron approached his 3-D world. Though the extended collector’s edition does not include the 3-D version of the film, it does have three cuts of the movie, and two disc chocked full of supplements.

Seeing the film in the theater, I was not one of the film’s champions. The story is very familiar, and I guess I was expecting the film to have sex with me, or something along those lines by the amount of hyperbole the film was attracting. Ultimately, the narrative is a vessel. Knowing how plodding the structure is (and the film is no more or less than the quips about it being Dances with Blu Cats, etc., though my old friend Mike Clark made another good comparison to The Emerald Forrest), on repeated viewings, and removed from the 3-D, I was able to marvel at James Cameron’s world.

And that’s where the film triumphs over its familiar narrative. Yes, it’s a six-legged horse, and many of the creatures are variations on things familiar, but there is so much to marvel at when you’re not really watching the film for a story. And the film succeeds best as a travelogue for a planet that doesn’t exist. The effect of the motion capture, how they got eyes, and the design work is truly the game changer that was asserted on release. Removed from the 3-D, just watching the film, I was truly impressed with how much it all just works. In the theater, I was slightly bored because I was waiting for the film to hit all its familiar beats (and those beats are familiar as all get out), but at home I could just marvel at the design. And how Cameron uses space was more vertiginous at home than theatrically. I guess – for better or worse – I’m just not a fan of 3-D in cinema for anything more than films that understand it’s a gimmick (My Bloody Valentine is a perfect 3-D film).

Shakira and Juanes donate personal items to help the Colombian Red Cross raise money for the victims of Colombia's rainy season, Semana reports.

Shakira donated the harmonica she used in her music video "Gypsy" and Juanes donated his jacked that he wore at the opening concert of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.  The items will be up for auction in Bogota and all proceeds will go to the Colombian Red Cross' campaign, "Dar por Colombia hoy" (Give to Colombia Today).

The actress Sofia Vergara and baseball player Edgar Renteria also contributed to the campaign.

The prolonged winter season has left more than 1.3 million people homeless, affected 28 out of 32 departments, and destroyed 1,750 homes.

Rihanna: It Could Be One Year or 10 Before I Become a Mom



Rihanna has a list of ambitions she wants to achieve before becoming a mother, but the 22-year-old isn't on a timeline when it comes to starting a family.

She said: "I don't really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right.

“I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I'll just know."

While Rihanna is unsure when she will have a baby, she knows she would prefer to have a son.
She explained in the December issue of Interview magazine: "If I had a girl, she'd probably be really rebellious. She would be like a bundle of karma."

The singer also would “love to” raise a family in her native Barbados but doesn’t think it would be possible because of her pop career.
She explained: "I can't live that far away from everything now, without kids. So I certainly couldn't raise kids and have a career with the demanding schedule that I have."

After months of speculation over who will be making the American judging panel, with the likes of Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger and Justin Bieber all in the mix, it seems SiCo may reveal the line-up in the new few weeks.

In an interview with Terri Seymour on Extra, the music mogul hinted: "I'm going to make an announcement within three or four weeks, which is going to tell everyone everything. There will be some surprises."

When probed by Seymour into giving some clues about the judges, SiCo revealed: "Okay, one of the judges has quite long hair."

In other American X Factor news, reports have claimed that Cheryl may not be given a job on the show Stateside, as TV bosses are reportedly more interested in host, Dermot O'Leary.

An insider told Heat magazine: "They were really impressed after watching him. He was in talks for hours but they didn’t talk to Cheryl. Apparently, the job is his."

The mag also claimed that Dermot could be chosen over the Girls Aloud star after fears that the American viewing public won't be able to understand her strong Geordie twang.

Yep. You knew it was bound to happen. Once the casting rumors surrounding the fabled Ghostbusters 3 began we knew it wouldn't be long until more stories, responses, speculation, opinions, finger pointing, name dropping, yadda yadda was bound to pop up here on the interwebs.

In this latest bit of blah blah blah Bloody Disgusting reports that "Dan Aykroyd was on WGN Radio Chicago where he commented on those pesky rumors. He confirmed that they are casting and open to finding some fresh faces, adding that both Bill Hader and Anna Faris have been mentioned as "strong possibilities", although it's still too early to call. Aykroyd, who plays Dr. Raymond Stantz in the franchise, also mentioned Eliza Dushku's name again, also confirming (what we already knew) that both Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver are returning."

Columbia Pictures is aiming at a May 2011 start date.

The making of Christopher Nolan's 'Inception' presented an immense technical challenge for the cast and crew -- even starting with comprehending Nolan's complex dream-caper script.

Star Leo DiCaprio tells this week's Hollywood Reporter that even he needed time to figure out the many layers of the story.

“I needed to know implicitly where we were," he says. "It got incredibly confusing at certain points in the beginning, but the more we talked, the more I understood.”

DiCaprio, who played the lead role of Dominic Cobb, spent weeks combing through the script with Nolan.

"The work (DiCaprio) did on his character with Chris made the movie less of a puzzle and more of a story of a character audiences could relate to," says Nolan's wife and producing partner, Emma Thomas.

Other technical people on the film had their own puzzles to figure out when they had the first view of the top-secret script. Each were locked in a room on the Warners lot where the script was sealed for their first view.

Visual effects supervisor Paul Franklin recalls the note in the script which called for the entire city of Paris collapsing and folding up.

The note on the script for that scene simply said: “The city begins to fold in half.”

“Working with Chris is absolutely great, but he’s very challenging, too,” Franklin says.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been charged with two felonies and lost custody of daughter Leah in less than a matter of a week — and now there is a petition on Facebook to have her arrested!

The Facebook description on the page says “Just watch any of MTV’s Teen Mom episodes and you will see the abuse. She tries to beat him up as well as pushing him into hitting her – which he does not do.” The description is referring to the the episodes that have aired where Amber is being abusive to her then boyfriend Gary Shirley.

The description of the page continues, “It makes me sick watching this and she shouldn’t be allowed to see her child. It’s really pissing me off.” Well, at least part of the FB creator’s wish has come true. Leah was made a ward of the state, and while the baby will remain with her father Gary, Amber was only allowed a supervised visit with her for an hour.

Joanna Lumley has admitted that she is eager to revive BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.

The actress revealed to Playbill that former co-star Jennifer Saunders had recently contacted her to discuss working on a new run.

She explained: "Jen wrote to me and said, 'Let's talk through it. What do you think?'. And I said, 'Bring it on'. Because we're all still here. Mother's still alive, the wonderful June Whitfield. Julia Sawalha [and] Jane Horrocks [are] all still alive and available... and I think we just have to do it."

Lumley suggested that the reunion could take inspiration from past episodes that explored the future of lead characters Patsy (Lumley) and Edina (Saunders).

"The great thing is that because... we fast-forwarded to where they're very old and nearly dead and practically plugged into vodka machines, it doesn't matter how beyond [the original series] we do it," she claimed.

The final episode of Absolutely Fabulous aired on Christmas Day in 2004.

The Veronicas star Lisa Origliasso has slammed Tik Tok singer Ke$ha for her recent raunchy performance on Australian TV.

Ke$ha sang her new brand track We R Who We R on the Sunrise breakfast show last week, and her choice of sexy outfits and dance moves caused much controversy Down Under.

One of those shocked by the American singer's performance was Veronicas babe Lisa, who posted an online link to Ke$ha's controversial set on Twitter.

"If this is what is selling records these days, I think I'd rather be a starving artist," wrote the Aussie singer.

Back in Los Angeles just in time for a home-cooked holiday meal, Taylor Lautner and Boo Boo Stewart were spotted touching down at LAX Airport on Thursday morning (November 25).

The "Twilight" co-stars made separate treks through the arrivals terminal after a flight from New Orleans, where they partook in "Breaking Dawn" duties over the past few days.

The Thanksgiving sighting comes against seemingly nonstop rumors surrounding Lautner's brief romance with singer Taylor Swift.

The National Enquirer most recently claimed that Miss Swift was still pining for the Jacob Black stud, as their insider alleges, “Taylor is hoping her dates with Jake [Gyllenhaal] are making Lautner crazy."

The Enquirer source adds, “She even had her mom Andra call Taylor and tell him how much better his life would if he was still dating her daughter! And Andra wants them together again because she thinks Taylor is the most stable guy for her daughter. He’s the only one of Taylor’s boyfriends she approves of.”

As BAFTA winning drama Misfits kicks off a second series on E4, Benjamin Potter meets lead actress Antonia Thomas to talk about her blossoming career.

Rising star Antonia Thomas has never taken her eyes off the prize. Having trained with the National Youth Theatre and National Youth Music Theatre as a teenager, she soon gained deserved recognition and enrolled at Bristol Old Vic as one of the lucky twenty that year.
