'Deathly Hallows' Animator to Direct Radical Reimagining of 'Peter Pan'

(Never mind, found one!)

Were you blown away by the extended animated sequence in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' explaining what exactly the Deathly Hallows are? Even in a film brimming with eye candy, it is such a striking and evocative sequence that it was one of the first things people could be heard gushing over as they were walking out of the theater. As it turns out, those four minutes of gorgeous animation were overseen not by director David Yates, but by Swiss director Ben Hibon.

So if you were as impressed by Hibon's contribution to the world of 'Harry Potter' as we were, you'll be glad to know that he will soon be making the transition from animated shorts to feature films with 'Pan,' a reimagining of 'Peter Pan' that was originally optioned by New Line as a potential project for genre maestro Guillermo del Toro.

I feel like Peter Pan's kinda been done to death, but shit, I love that animation so much that I might go see it just for that.

Miley Cyrus chain smoking at SoHo House

Industry copycat Miley Cyrus spotted leaving Soho House in West Hollywood this weekend looking rough, she seemed stressed-out early Saturday morning after a night of partying, according to E! Online. Miley in black leather boots,

black skinny jeans, a T-shirt and an oversize leather jacket, was 'chain smoking up a storm' at the valet: 'She had messy hair and makeup and didn't look that great.' Miley was with two guy friends and another girl, but the insider was not getting the double-date vibe.

Muse Insist They're 'Happy' With 'Twilight' Fanbase

'Loads of young fans come to our gigs now who say, 'We heard that song from that film,' ' frontman Matt Bellamy tells MTV News.

Muse's victory in the Favorite Alternative Rock Artist category at Sunday night's 2010 American Music Awards felt like the crown jewel in what has been a pretty incredible few years for the band.

Their latest album, 2009's The Resistance, has sold millions of copies around the world, scored them a handful of hit singles, allowed them to sell out concerts on four different continents and perform at a number of high-profile television events. A bulk of that success is because of Muse's participation on the soundtracks of "The Twilight Saga" movies (Muse are "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's favorite band). Their "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)," for one, was the lead single from the soundtrack to last summer's "Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

Andrea Arnold Casts James Howson As Cinema’s First Black Heathcliff In ‘Wuthering Heights’

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
For her follow-up to the excellent “Fish Tank,” director Andrea Arnold has done a great job at keeping her forthcoming adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” under a veil of secrecy. With filming wrapped last week, it was still a mystery as to who landed the lead role of Heathcliff of the film but as the film heads into post-production, we now have a face and a name. The Daily Mail (via Bleeding Cool) reports that the previously unknown James Howson has landed the part, making him the first black actor to portray Heathcliff on screen. Arnold held opening casting calls as early as February of this year looking for a leading man who was 16-24 years old, from Yorkshire, of Gypsy appearance and not necessarily experienced, and plucked the actor from obscurity. And if he brings anything like the freshness Katie Jarvis did for “Fish Tank,” we certainly have something very special to look forward to.Howson is in his early twenties and his the young age of the character is one the filmmakers were looking to nail and something that previous adaptations have missed. One source told the Daily Mail, “Previous versions have had people in their mid-30s running up and down the moors and that is not what the novel is about at all. This is all about going back to basics.”

The project is based on a script by Olivia Hetreed (”Girl with a Pearl Earring”) and has seen a revolving door of talent attached or linked including directors Peter Webber and John Maybury along with thesps Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Abbie Cornish, Ed Westwick and Gemma Arterton. But no sense dwelling on what could have been. Arnold is a strong talent and we’re looking forward to her take on the material with a young cast that also includes Kaya Scodelario (”Skins”) as Cathy and Nichola Burley as the third lead.

Mila Kunis Talks Dangerous 'Black Swan' Weight Loss

Doing the publicity rounds for 'Black Swan,' Mila Kunis reveals she went on a binge eating spree after months of strict dieting for the film.

The actress went on an extreme diet and punishing fitness regime that saw her weight plummet to 98 pounds to play the part of a ballerina. According to The Daily Mail, the actress said her weight loss was so extreme she admitted it concerned her family.

"My mom freaked out," Kunis says. "She was like, 'You have to promise me his isn't going to affect you.' I was like, 'I promise it won't, but it might take me a little time to be OK with having a little more fat on me.'"

Kunis, who is known for her usually curvy figure, admitted she hated looking at her shapeless body in the mirror.

"I could see why this industry is so f----d up, because ... I would literally look at myself in the mirror and I was like, 'Oh my God!' I had no shape, no boobs, no ass ... all you saw was the bone. I was like, 'This looks gross.'"

Kunis goes on: "In real life I looked disgusting but in photographs and on film, it looked amazing."

As soon as filming wrapped she indulged in all her favorite meals -- namely burgers and Chinese food. "It took me five months to lose 20 pounds, and it took me hours to gain it back!" she jokes.

Who the hell would call Mila Kunis curvy? She's always been skinny in my opinion.

T.I. and Christina Aguilera song is 'amazing', the next single.

'Castle Walls' will serve as the next single off the rapper's No Mercy, due out December 7.

Producer Alex Da Kid might be relatively new to the industry, but the British hitmaker has already proven that he can strike gold when bringing together artists of different musical genres. With production credits on summertime scorchers like "Airplanes" (B.o.B and Hayley Williams) and "Love the Way You Lie" (Eminem and Rihanna), the 27-year-old music mind reveals he's now trying his hand with another duo: T.I. and Christina Aguilera.

While on the American Music Awards red carpet, Kid spoke to MTV News about "Castle Walls," the track he produced for the recently incarcerated rapper's forthcoming album, which features the pop star. Not only did the producer reveal that the song is set to be the next single off Tip's No Mercy, but he also gushed about how the song will grab a variety of listeners.

"It's going to be T.I.'s next single," he told MTV News about the collabo. "I love it. I think it's amazing. It's my sound, just kind of an evolution of that. I think it'll cater to a lot of different people."

A reported snippet of the track minus T.I. surfaced on the Internet a few weeks ago and finds Aguilera gently singing over a steady, mellow beat about the downfalls of loneliness: "Everyone thinks that I have it all/ But it's so empty living behind these castle walls (These castle walls)/ If I should tumble if I should fall/ Would anyone hear me screaming behind these castle walls?/ There's no one here at all, behind these castle walls."

"Castle Walls" isn't the only star-studded effort on the MC's new album. No Mercy will also feature appearances from Eminem and Kanye West and flops such as Chris Brown and The-Dream. The ATL rapper's collaboration with Em, "All She Wrote," leaked online last Tuesday.

Rachael Ray donates $775,000 to animal shelters

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But at the moment, the TV chef is catering to a different crowd: needy pets.

This holiday season, Ray is donating 100 percent of proceeds from her Nutrish and Just 6 pet food and treat lines to animal shelters nationwide, giving away a total of $775,000 before Dec. 31.

"If you want to look at the state of humans, you should look at the state of animals first," Ray tells "People are choosing whether or not they can feed an animal and their family. And every shelter coast-to-coast is stuffed."

Currently on the road to promote her newest cookbook, Look + Cook, Ray is also sponsoring pop-up adoption events for the shelters she's supporting in the hopes of raising awareness for her cause. "We only give to no-kill shelters," she says. "But we give to small and large; no one's excluded. We want to keep as many animals alive as possible."

Ray, mom to pit bull pup Isaboo, started her charitable giving in 2008 as a way to help all the animals she couldn't physically save.

"My husband and I can sleep at night knowing that our small space is probably wrong for a lot of animals, but we can maybe inspire people [who have space] to bring a lot of animals home," she says. "It's us trying to problem-solve that very discussion, 'Why can't we do more?' "

Instead of asking famous friends to donate, Ray decided to develop her food and treat lines (with the help of Ainsworth Pet Nutrition) and give away her own take from it. "It's a constant stream of income, and a source of relief for people that are exhausted, trying to care for their own families and care for animals," she says.

For those who'd like to help, but can't necessarily adopt an animal of their own, Ray suggests starting small. "When you're out grocery shopping for your family, maybe you can put a can of cat or dog food in your cart and bring it to an animal relief center," she says. "Maybe you can take your kids by [a shelter] and have them donate something basic. If you can give one or two dollars, or even 10 dollars, to charity, it's a great step."

Eva Longoria Kept Tony Around Too Long

On the brink of her divorce announcement, Eva Longoria is said to feel "regretful" of not leaving her husband Tony Parker sooner.

A source close to the “Desperate Housewives” star told Pop Eater, “Just five months into their marriage, reports of Tony’s infidelity spread like wildfire, but Eva chose to listen to her heart and not her head. She stood by her man, believing deeply in the institution of marriage. She chose to believe her husband was innocent.”

Magic on 34th Street - Macy's Thanksgivng Day parade 2010 Preview

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has become a tradition in most households across the nation — more than 3.5 million spectators line the route in Manhattan, with more than 50 million viewers tuning in on TV nationwide.
The three-hour spectacular features seven new floats plus signature balloons (page 42) and a host of bands and entertainers marching the two-and-a-half mile route.
“The Macy’s Parade will once again entertain an entire nation with a fantastic pageant filled with the most popular giant character helium balloons, awe-inspiring floats, the nation’s best marching bands, and a dazzling array of other elements,” says Amy Kule, executive producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

On stage will be the R&B giant Gladys Knight, teen favorite Victoria Justice, pop queen Kylie Minogue (see story on page 40), hip-hop superstar Kanye West (page 40), Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih, Grammy Award-winning Columbian singer Juanes singing in Spanish and Latin marching band Pedro Molina, a Guatemalan group making its first New York appearance. The casts of Broadway’s “American Idiot” (page 40), “Elf” and “Memphis” will be on hand to deliver show-stopping numbers.

And, of course, there can be no Parade without Santa Claus bringing up the rear in his sleigh, kicking off the Christmas season.

A pitiful excuse for a Thanksgiving post. What are you guys doing/plans for Thanksgiving and Black Friday? That is,  if you're even celebrating it at all lol. I'm roasting cornish hens because I hate turkey. :x

Quincy Jones On Kanye West: “No Comparison”

In an interview with US Magazine, Quincy Jones expressed his thoughts on Kanye and diminished his skills as a great producer to “just a rapper”.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Us: Kanye West is similar to you in that he’s the producer everybody wants to work with in the last decade...
QJ: How man? No way. Did he write for a symphony orchestra? Does he write for a jazz orchestra? Come on, man. He’s just a rapper. There’s no comparison. I’m not putting him down or making a judgement or anything, but we come from two different sides of the planet. I spent 28 years learning my first skill. I don’t rap. It’s not the same thing. A producer has to have some sort of skills that enable him to be a producer. It’s totally different to know what to do with 16 woodwinds you know from piccolos down to bass clarinet. It’s a whole different mindset. No comparison. None.

Us: What do you think of him?
QJ: I don’t think about him much. He’s a great rapper, but there are a lot of good rappers. I just did The View with Ludacris, who’s one of my favorites. He’s a beautiful human being and college educated. I joke with him and say, ‘How did ‘Move Bitch Get Out The Way’ come out of you?’ But I was raised around the Mafia when I was a kid in Chicago in the 30s. Chicago’s rough. I’m from the streets, I know what’s up!

Rihanna wanted Avril Lavigne collaboration

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Rihanna has revealed that she had a song on her new album earmarked for the vocals of fellow songstress Avril Lavigne.

The Umbrella singer had to settle for sampling Lavigne's vocals on Loud album track Cheers (Drink To That), because producers finished working on it before the pair had time to team up.

Rihanna explained to MTV, 'I asked whether she could appear, but when I heard the track it was already embedded in the music, so the producers already had it that way.

'But it would have sounded the same. I'm just glad that we could use her sample, because it became such a huge part of the instrumental that if it were not in the song, it would change the whole vibe of it.'

She added, 'Cheers is one of my favourite songs. It makes you feel like celebrating. It gives you a great feeling inside like you want to go out and have a drink. People can't wait for the weekend.'

Google Has No Words For Kim Zolciak’s ‘Google Me

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Some of music’s biggest stars were in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the American Music Awards, but on the other side of the U.S. “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak (who announced she was pregnant on Monday via Twitter) was attempting to carve out a spot in the music world with her new song, “Google Me.” The Bravo star performed the song for the first time live (well, mostly live – those backup tracks were working overtime!) on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

Roll Call couldn’t help but wonder what Kim’s muse for the song thought about this new likely club anthem and contacted the search giant for comment. Google had little to say about the “Real Housewives” song. One rep replied to Access “we have to decline” and another rep simply said “we don’t have a comment here.” Well, now Kim can rest easy knowing at least two people at Google are aware of “Google Me.”

Nicki Minaj: "Of Course" We'll See a Gay Rapper

Listen up, 50 Cent: Before you flood our Twitter feeds with 140 character coitus-disgustingus tales of all the tail you're getting, we're not talking about you. So lay off the TMI crap for a sec.

But we are gossiping about gay rappers—or if we'll ever seen one, that is.

We caught up with the fab fem rapper Nicki Minaj at the American Music Awards Sunday, and—since the glam gal has drummed up more attention to the hip-hop LGBT community than any act of late—we had to ask if she thought we'd see a homolicious rapper on the scene anytime soon:

"Of course, of course!"
Nick gushed to us.

So what do we have to do? That is, to make it OK to spit some rhymes about pimping a penis?

"I think we just have to be open-minded," said Nicki, who's left tongues wagging with her seemingly ambiguous sexuality—she talks about smooching "bad bitches" and giving love to the fellas, but never clarifying exactly which way she swings.

The best man, for better or worse
Charming, gaffe-prone Prince Harry may enjoy being out of the spotlight

Prince Harry with his mother—mischievous from the start. In the military he found a real sense of purpose and belonging. | Tim Graham/Getty Images; John Stillwell/AP

If there is any justice, Prince Harry will get to organize the stag night. It wouldn’t just be his duty as presumptive best man (current odds from British bookmaker William Hill: 12-1), it would play to his proven natural talents. For of all the royals, 26-year-old Henry Charles Albert David, third in line to the throne, is the indisputable party boy.

Charles and Diana’s second son, or “the spare,” as the late princess used to teasingly call him, has long had a taste for fun, and occasionally trouble. At 16, the tabloids revealed he’d been drinking to excess down at the local pub, and smoking pot on the grounds of his father’s Highgrove estate. (The Prince of Wales reacted by dispatching him to a London drug rehabilitation clinic for one short, sharp, shocking afternoon.) At 20, he got involved in a 3 a.m. scuffle with a paparazzo outside a posh London nightclub, leaving the man with a cut lip, and a highly lucrative photo. He celebrated his 25th birthday—and the official inheritance of $14.5 million from his mother’s estate—with a $32,400 African booze cruise, on a houseboat filled with friends, lager and smokes.

PJ Harvey Announces New Album: Let England Shake

PJ Harvey finally revealed the title, release date, and other info on her next studio album this morning, less than a week after posting a few cryptic messages about an incoming announcement. On February 14, Island Records will release Harvey’s ninth studio album, Let England Shake (presumably taking its name from the song of the same name she previewed earlier this year).

Let England Shake was recorded in a 19th century church in Dorset, England with Flood, who co-produced the album with Mick Harvey, John Parish, and Harvey herself. Presumably, the image above is the album cover, though that wasn’t confirmed in today’s unveiling.
As was previously announced, Parish, Mick Harvey, and drummer Jean-Marc Butty will join Harvey for a string of dates in the U.K. in February, immediately following the album’s release.

In win for networks, federal judge issues temporary restraining order against
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order against Plc., a company that had been streaming the signals of television stations over the Internet without permission of the stations or the networks or producers whose programming was being streamed.

All four major networks -- Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC -- took FilmOn to court to stop the streams and, after a hearing held Monday, Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued the order.

The networks argued that was violating copyright laws by taking the signals and streaming them without permission or compensation. is one of two companies the broadcast networks are currently battling. The other company is Ivi Inc., which has also been streaming the signals of TV stations. Ivi has filed a suit in U.S. District Court in Seattle in an effort to get a ruling that it is not violating the rights of the networks by streaming their content online.

The broadcast networks have also filed a suit against Ivi in the Southern District of New York and separately have asked that the Seattle case be moved there.

Hammer horror actress Ingrid Pitt dies aged 73

Hammer horror actress Ingrid Pitt, best known for starring in cult classics such as Countess Dracula, has died at the age of 73. The Polish-born star passed away at a hospital in south London after collapsing a few days ago. She was regarded by many fans as the queen of Hammer Horror films. The star's death comes weeks after film-maker Roy Ward Baker, who directed Pitt in The Vampire Lovers, died at the age of 93.

Pitt's daughter Stephanie Blake told the BBC News website that her mother's death had come as a "huge surprise". After the actress collapsed recently, doctors had told her was she suffering from heart failure. "She could be incredibly generous, loving, and she'll be sorely missed," Mrs Blake said. She added that she wanted her mother to be remembered as the Countess Dracula with the "wonderful teeth and the wonderful bosom".

'Gloriously uninhibited'

Official Hammer historian Marcus Hearn paid tribute to the star, calling her a "talented actress and fine writer". All fans of Hammer and of British horror are going to miss her terribly” He added: "She was partly responsible for ushering in a bold and brazen era of sexually explicitly horror films in the 1970s, but that should not denigrate her abilities as an actress." A good friend of the actress, Mr Hearn said she was "gloriously uninhibited" and "great fun to be with". Although she was not the first female star of a Hammer film, Mr Hearn said she had always been "very proud" of becoming the first prominent female protagonist in a Hammer after her role in The Vampire Lovers.

She began her career with fairly minor roles in several Spanish films in the mid-1960s. But in 1968 she landed a supporting role in war movie Where Eagles Dare, appearing alongside Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton. The actress got her breakthrough role two years later in the horror thriller The Vampire Lovers, which was a box office success. Several Hammer movies followed, firmly establishing her as one of the key women of British horror of the 1970s. Her other film credits included The Wicker Man (1973), Who Dares Wins (1982), Smiley's People (1982) and Wild Geese II (1985). Pitt made regular appearances at horror conventions and penned several books about her career in the genre.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood’s daughter is now a ward of the state of Indiana, has learned exclusively. It’s a dramatic development in the ongoing saga of the MTV star, whose troubled life has played out on national TV.

Portwood and Gary Shirley appeared in an Anderson, Indiana courthouse Tuesday afternoon for an emergency child placement hearing concerning their two-year-old daughter Leah. One source told “Leah is a ward of the state.”

That means that as the Department of Child Services assesses Leah’s living situation the child technically becomes a ward of the state, even though she is currently staying with Shirley. A ward of the state is an adult or child whose guardianship is determined by a judge who appoints a government agency to oversee the ward of the state's affairs.

Khloe Kardashian admits she lost her virginity at the age 14 in the Kardashian sisters‘ new tell-all book, Kardashian Konfidential! “This guy was very, very manipulative, and I ended up losing my virginity to him when I was only 14,” Khloe writes. “When my dad found out I was having sex, he went ballistic.”

But Khloe must have kept her secret for a while because she recalls sneaking out quite a bit to have flings with her “older” man. “My mom taught me how to drive when I was 13, so if one of our baby sisters had an emergency I could drive to the hospital,” Khloe writes. “But I took advantage of it. I used to steal her car or Bruce’s, and I’d go over to this guy’s house. He was a lot older than me, though he lied and said he was younger. Of course, I lied, too, and said I was 16. I was doing really well in school until I met him.”

Fortunately Khloe stopped seeing the guy and realized having intimate relations at such a young age was a horrible idea.

“I was only 14, but I thought I was so mature, and I look back and see how wrong I was,” she writesq. “Having sex for the first time is an extremely important decision that affects your whole life. … You should never, EVER have sex when you’re that young. Feeling rushed and pressured and unsure should have been my clue that I wasn’t ready to take that step.”

T.I. On Drug Habit, Eminem & More

I’ve heard you mention how the good that you’ve done is easily forgotten. Do you feel that you’ve been treated unfairly?

If I place my value in the way humans treat me, then maybe. But they’re human, man―they can’t help themselves. They do that to people they know personally. So how can I expect them to treat me, only knowing me through television? They did that to Jesus. They did that to Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali. They did it to every great person you could possibly think of. When it was all good, they was with them. When things got bad, then they was against them.

Jay Leno Remains a Scumbag, Steals from Bloggers

Jay Leno has a long history of being a dickhead to other celebs and TV/radio hosts, but now he can add plagiarist to his resume. He recently had T. Squints on the show for an interview, and took the opportunity to ask her about her constant state of shock at awards films, before showing a compilation of clips showing her reactions to winning. The only problem is this was taken almost directly from the "Taylor Swift is surprised" video supercut posted by Rich/FourFour a week ago.

Cue the outrage

This kinda sucks honestly, esp because you know the old people who love Leno are the type that would never know this kinda thing exists on the internet anyway. After Coco, this is just another reason to think Leno is a total douche.

Beatles on iTunes: 2 Million Songs Sold in a Week

A week after Apple's history-making announcement that the Beatles LP catalog would now be available digitally, iTunes announced Tuesday the first week numbers and they're, not surprisingly, impressive.

The Fab Four moved more than 450,000 full-length albums in that time and another two million songs, according to a rep for iTunes. The most popular download? "Here Comes the Sun," which was written by George Harrison for the Beatles' seminal 1969 album Abbey Road, which also landed at No. 6 on the iTunes album charts, wedged between Keith Urban's Get Closer at No. 5 and Taylor Swift's Speak Now at No. 7.

The specially-packaged Beatles Box Set, which includes the worldwide iTunes exclusive Live at the Washington Coliseum, 1964, the band's first ever U.S, show, also just made the top 10.

“It’s fantastic to see the songs we originally released on vinyl receive as much love in the digital world as they did the first time around," Paul McCartney said in the original Beatles on iTunes announcement from Nov. 16. Indeed, fans are still showing their love of the Beatles with their wallets.

Judge blocks use of Adrien Brody's image in film

A U.S. federal judge has blocked the makers of a thriller film starring Adrien Brody from using the Oscar-winning actor's likeness until he is fully paid for his role.

U.S. District Judge Dale S. Fischer issued a ruling Monday blocking the makers of "Giallo" from continuing to distribute, market or sell "Giallo" in the United States.

Brody sued last month before the film went on sale in the states, claiming he was owed $640,000 and its DVD release could cost him $2 million. In a sworn declaration, he said the film's producers lied to him about financing and vastly overstated how much the film's Italian distribution rights were worth.

The actor tried unsuccessfully to block the film's sale, but Fischer's ruling states Brody is likely to win the case and his likeness can no longer be used in the film or to promote it.

The ruling also states Brody is "suffering, and will continue to suffer, immediate and irreparable harm" unless the injunction was granted.

Brody's face appears twice on the DVD cover of "Giallo," which features him playing an FBI special agent hunting a serial killer in Italy.

A call to attorney Martin Barab, who is representing the makers of "Giallo," was not immediately returned Tuesday.

Brody has been paid nearly $1 million for his role, and Barab has denied any wrongdoing by his clients.

Brody, 37, won an Oscar in 2003 for his role in "The Pianist."

Kanye West To Perform 'Lost In The World' At Thanksgiving Day Parade

Yeezy will rap the explosive track and travel along the Macy's parade route on a float.

Kanye West will perform a My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy track when he makes his appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.

Reps for the event tell MTV News that the rapper, whose album was released on Monday, is set to perform "Lost in the World," a rather gloomy track that also features indie rockers Bon Iver. (No word on whether the band will join him in front of New York City's Macy's Herald Square for the show.

This album is perfection. This song is amazing! I've been living on this album for the last two days, I hope he can pull this song off live. The connecting spoken word at the end, though? If he does that on live TV on Thanksgiving Day in America.... I will forever BOW DOWN!

Haters are desensitized to greatness, tbh.

GO WEST: Looks like Kanye West and Nicki Minaj will go 1-2 on next week’s HITS album chart. West’s much-acclaimed Roc-A-Fella/IDJ release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy hit the streets yesterday and looks now like it will break 500k. Meanwhile, Susan Boyle’s The Gift keeps on giving. This week, the Columbia album repeats at #1, with 323k. up 1% from last week’s total of 321k. With Black Friday looming, though, these numbers could all change, so stay tuned. (11/23p)

Kirsten Dunst's Advice To Emma Stone: 'Get Used To Swinging'

Despite all the hype and hoopla surrounding the Marc Webb-directed "Spider-Man" reboot, a part of me is still sad about all that went down with Sam Raimi. Don't get me wrong, I'm intrigued by what Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will bring to the mix, but a large part of me won't let go of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker — and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, for that matter.

When MTV News caught up with the former Ms. MJ recently to promote her new movie "All Good Things," I couldn't help but ask what her advice would be for the new Spidey leading lady, Emma Stone, as well as her thoughts on Sony moving on with the franchise without Raimi and Maguire.

"Get used to acting to nothing," advised Dunst, laughing. "[There is] a lot of that. Swinging, and acting to nothing."

Going to See Burlesque? Snap Out of It!

Going to See Burlesque? Snap Out of It!

By Rex Reed

November 22, 2010 | 9:18 p.m

Trash comes in all forms, but rarely in a sequined G-string. That's all there is to a brain-dead, cliché-riddled pastiche of old Betty Grable movies called Burlesque. This one is strictly for Cher fans who like their campy shtick loud, lewd and ludicrous. But the biggest problem among many is that it's not her movie. She's hardly in it. Instead of an excuse to breathe oxygen into the twilight of Cher's career, it turns out to be a slutty pasteup constructed out of spit and chewing gum to showcase the movie debut of the caterwauling Christina Aguilera. They should have all stayed in bed. This movie is so bad that it makes you realize how much you miss Showgirls.

How Gratuitous Is Anne Hathaway’s Nudity in Love and Other Drugs?

When it comes to getting naked on-camera, some actresses do it, and some don't. Those that do inevitably explain that they are only willing to do so when nudity is fundamental to the story or the character, not just incidental or lecherous. In Love and Other Drugs, in theaters tomorrow, co-stars Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are naked a lot (or nekkid, as David Edelstein put it). So inevitably, Hathaway would like to be clear that the nudity is not at all gratuitous: "We didn't want to lose the film's energy in these [nude] scenes. And I think that is what resulted in the film. It's less of nudity and more of intimacy." We couldn't agree more! The movie, in which Gyllenhaal plays a drug salesman and Hathaway an artist with early onset Parkinsons, is about a passionate, intense couple, the kind of couple that wouldn't have sex or pillow talk under covers, arms clamped at their sides, firmly over the sheets.

So to further Hathaway's argument, that the very naked Love and Other Drugs is naked because it has to be, artistically of course, we've supplied compelling justifications for all six instance of female nudity in the film.

2 new BLACK SWAN clips

It’s almost D-Day for Black Swan, which finally hits theaters next Friday, Dec. 3 after dominating the film-festival circuit over the past three months. It’s a foregone conclusion that star Natalie Portman will earn a Best Actress nomination for her career-best performance as a mentally-unstable ballerina. What’s less clear are the film’s chances in the Best Supporting Actress category. The film boasts strong secondary turns from Barbara Hershey, as Portman’s overbearing stage mom, and Mila Kunis, as a new arrival to Portman’s ballet company who soon becomes her biggest competition. I suspect both actresses will have signficant fan bases in the critical community and within the Academy; the question is whether one (or both) of them can amass enough support to score a spot over probable nominees like The King’s Speech costar Helena Bonham Carter, Rabbit Hole‘s Dianne Wiest, and the impressive duo from The Fighter, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. Whatever happens, one of the most memorable aspects of the film is the rapport between Portman’s Nina and Kunis’ Lily, two very different women who eventually strike up a combustible friendship. In this exclusive clip (which spotlights Portman’s formidable dancing skills and director Darren Aronofsky’s impressively dizzy camerawork), Portman and Kunis’ characters encounter each other for the first time.

Who should be the next Buffy?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Prior to Twilight, True Blood, and Vampire Diaries, there was Buffy Summers, a teenage blonde carrying out her fate as a slayer in the small town of Sunnydale.

Turns out (thanks to Warner Bros.) the blonde’s coming back to town, only this time she’s resurfacing on the big screen.

So the obvious question remains: Who should replace S.M.G. as the slayer with perfect mix of sassy and sweet?

We thought long and hard, and ended up with three top contenders to fill the original vampire killer’s shoes.

Rooney Mara
Even though we’ve yet to see David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, we think it’s pretty safe to assume Rooney Mara can play badass.
The drawback: She might be a little too badass…

Mia Wasikowska
After checking out the trailer for the upcoming Jane Eyre remake, we think Wasikowska’s definitely got a dark side behind her demure looks.

Minka Kelly

Let’s face it, the Friday Night Lights actress definitely brings the hot-factor up a notch. But some hair dye and that infamous cross necklace, we think she could definitely pull it off.

Who would you pick?

Ugh, still can't believe this is happening. I'll probably catch it on HBO or something. This movie is not getting my money. And I have no clue who should be cast as Buffy, because SMG is Buffy.

Kanye Totally Weirds Rihanna Out

Kanye West interviewed Rihanna for the cover story of the forthcoming issue of Interview, and despite the fact that the two of them know each other and have collaborated on songs, he totally manages to weird her out. For good reason. Check it out.

Kanye: So what inspired you to have that pink tank on your last tour? That was amazing, when you were sitting on top of the army tank.
Rihanna: I love to combine femininity with a kind of extreme masculine egde, and I felt like the tank is just not a typical thing that you think of when you think of a girl — or in any kind of relation to a girl. Then we made it hot pink. We just added that touch.
Kanye: I mean, people really need to see a photograph — the entire tank was pink. That was a great piece of commercial pop art. Was the idea of that to kind of portray an American Dream — like the fantasy of a this hot black girl sitting on a top of a pink tank?
Rihanna: I never actually thought of it like that.
Kanye: How does it feel to know that you could have any man in the world. Or woman. How does it feel to know that you can turn straight women gay?
Rihanna: Is that a real question?
Kanye: Yeah.
Rihanna: Well … Thank you. I don’t know how to feel about that. I guess that’s flattering.
Kanye: But just to have that level of power. How do deal with it? No one woman should have that much power.

Please Don't Panic Just Because Facebook Trademarked the Word "Face"

Facebook's been trying to register the word "face" as a trademark for a while, but now the US Patent Office has finally decided to grant the social network's application. Here are the details of what happened.

A short time ago, Facebook took over the trademark application for "Face" from a company who operated a site called This particular application was opposed by Aaron Greenspan—the fellow who took Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to court over the creation of Facebook—but now has been granted a Notice of Allowance by the USPTO anyway.

The Notice of Allowance means that as long as Facebook pays an issue fee to the USPTO within the next three months, it can enjoy a trademark on the word "face" when it comes to "[t]elecommunication services, namely, providing online chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards for transmission of messages among computer users in the field of general interest and concerning social and entertainment subject matter, none primarily featuring or relating to motoring or to cars"

This basically means that it would be very unwise for you to name your hot new social networking site something along the lines of FaceMeet, SlapToTheFace, or FaceNovel. You don't have too much to fear when it comes to naming products or services outside of what the trademark covers though.

It's also worth noting that it isn't particularly unusual for a company to hold trademarks on common words like this. Hell, Apple has "Chicago" trademarked—when talking about computer fonts.

I doubt anyone on ONTD cares about this - I just thought it was interesting.

'Breaking Dawn' Wild Honeymoon Scene

Insiders say that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are so fired up about their love scenes that they are pushing for “tasteful but extremely sexually charged nudity” in Breaking Dawn! According to OK! magazine, producers may have to censor some of the stars’ suggestions. The action may get so hot that the the fourth installment of the Twilight series may no longer get a PG-13 rating. “They’re demanding that their big sex scenes will really push the envelope,” a source tells the magazine.

In the book, author Stephenie Meyer fades out a full sex scene and describes the morning after Bella and Edward’s first night consummating their marriage. Edward has destroyed the pillow and Bella is covered in bruises. Twilight fans can clearly expect much more than that in the film!

R-Patz and K-Stew are no doubt inspired by their own real-life love affair. The couple have been making out after the cameras stopped rolling and there’s been so much interest in the action on set that the director has had to “close” the set, says a source.

Do you think Breaking Dawn, the movie, should have a more graphic sex scene than the book?

Sarah Palin Blasted for Halibut 'Snuff Film'

Sarah Palin thought it was "weird" when she held the beating heart of a halibut in the palm of her hand on her reality show this weekend -- now an animal rights group is calling the episode a "snuff film."

Sarah and Bristol were featured on a halibut fishing excursion on the reality show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" -- the show even featured a scene in which Sarah and Bristol clubbed the fish to death ... a standard practice among fisherman.

But a group called "In Defense of Animals" is lashing out at the reality fam -- saying, "Sarah Palin’s complete lack of compassion as demonstrated in this snuff video is disgusting."

The group adds, "Most disturbing is the way she seems to enjoy causing suffering to other beings. When they laugh about the beating heart that Bristol holds in her hand, their complete insensitivity to the animal kingdom becomes clear.

FYI ... a rep for the Alaska Charter Association -- a group in defense of recreational halibut fishing -- tells us the clubbing technique is actually "humane" because it's used to "minimize the suffering of the fish."

VATICAN CITY — In a seismic shift on one of the most profound – and profoundly contentious – Roman Catholic teachings, the Vatican said Tuesday that condoms are the lesser of two evils when used to curb the spread of AIDS, even if their use prevents a pregnancy.

The position was an acknowledgment that the church's long-held anti-birth control stance against condoms doesn't justify putting lives at risk.

"This is a game-changer," declared the Rev. James Martin, a prominent Jesuit writer and editor.

The new stance was staked out as the Vatican explained Pope Benedict XVI's comments on condoms and HIV in a book that came out Tuesday based on his interview with a German journalist.

The Vatican still holds that condom use is immoral and that church doctrine forbidding artificial birth control remains unchanged. Still, the reassessment on condom use to help prevent disease carries profound significance, particularly in Africa where AIDS is rampant.

"By acknowledging that condoms help prevent the spread of HIV between people in sexual relationships, the pope has completely changed the Catholic discussion on condoms," said Martin, a liberal-leaning author of several books about spirituality and Catholic teaching.

Olivia Wilde's attempt not being sexy is the reason for Quorra hairstyle

How Olivia Wilde Tried to Not Be Sexy in Tron (Fail!)

No way could 2009's Maxim Hot List topper Olivia Wilde fail to be sexy in the skintight suit and four-inch heels she dons as a futuristic warrior in Tron: Legacy, right?

Right. Epic fail. But she gave it her best shot!

ZZ5 F099 C03

The stunning former model (seriously, E! Online, there's some site named Google, try it, it's cool) and House star explained why she tried to downplay her sensuality as Quorra, the fierce female program she plays in December's sci-fi adventure…

"It would have been easier to just let her be the temptress of the Tron world and slink around like a cat," Wilde told E! Online at the press junket for the long-awaited sequel. "I thought it'd be much more interesting if she was sexy despite herself. She's a warrior, so she's very athletic, but she has no desire to seduce."

With a surplus of hot women (including Beau Garrett and Top Model's Yaya DeCosta - who?) slinking around the world of Tron—and its young hero, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund)—Wilde stands out as much for her seeming naiveté as for her striking physicality. And if she resembles a certain French saint in cyberpunk fetish gear, it's because Wilde also wanted Quorra to look like… a boy?

Kristy Swanson okay with and wants to be in the "Buffy" reboot

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kristy Swanson, the first woman who first brought the vamp-killing heroine to life on the big screen, also has something to say about it: “Let Buffy live. Why not?”

“If they wanted me to be a part of it, I think that would be fantastic and that it would be a blast,” she tells EW.

Swanson was 22 when she first stepped into the role that would be transformed by Sarah Michelle Gellar seven years later, and she remembers that her first reaction to the new take on the character was, in fact, positive. (“It was a whole new idea, a whole new look,” she says.) And she believes a transformation can happen again — even without its original maker.

“There are die-hard Joss Whedon fans who absolutely love him to death, and rightly so. He’s a brilliant man, no doubt,” she says. “I love everything Buffy. I don’t care who’s doing it.”

Swanson’s co-star, Luke Perry said via his rep that he has no comment on the project.

LOL, no.
