Chad Ochocinco's Pregnant Pigeon Saga Was A Bald-Faced Lie

This...this is pretty much the most blatant betrayal in the history of sports. We've all watched, rapt, as Ochocinco's pregnant pigeon escaped, returned, and finally gave birth. But we were all hoodwinked by Chad's dastardly deception. J'accuse!

Let me compose myself. Perhaps I am to blame for being so naive. But who would ever expect a man who legally changed his name to a pseudo-Spanish number to lie?

Cher Lloyd has revealed that she is ditching her rapping for this week's X Factor performance.

The 17-year-old singer promised her fans that there would be a "massive shock" in her routine this weekend, which will see her showing off her vocal talents.

"This weekend's going to be a massive shock and I hope everyone is prepared for it because everyone is used to me being a bad girl rapper," said Cher in her latest official video blog.

“I'm going to twist it up a bit and prove to the other people that maybe haven’t liked me as much as my supporters have, to think that actually I'm an alright singer.”

Speaking about her Halloween-themed song choice, she said: "I'm very, very nervous about this one. This is the hardest I've done so far."

Lloyd also revealed that the three favourite things that she would take to a desert island were her iPod, her gran and her favourite food, pork pies.

“Practical Magic” May Live Again

Boom! No, not really. But Practical Magic, one of those totally middling late-nineties movies that garnered mediocre box office receipts and generally poor reviews but has managed to stay in the public consciousness anyway, could become a TV show for ABC Family, twelve years after it hit theatres. Warner Bros. is in the very early stages of rebooting the film, which starred Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as sisters and witches with a unique and troubling problem: If they find true love with a man, he tragically dies. The Hollywood Reporter astutely notes, "If Practical Magic successfully debuts on ABC Family, it will join a legacy of Witch TV titles such as Charmed, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and, of course, Bewitched." We are rooting for this one!

Some Guy's Top 10 Horror-Comedies

When compiling my own Top 10 Horror list for OWF’s 31 Days of Horror, I noticed that a big majority of my choices had some comedic value in them. Horror and comedy have made for fairly comfortable bedfellows; both invoke an involuntary gut reaction, be it fear or laughter, and both are nominally filed under the ‘cult’ section (presumably as something so popular could never approach ‘high-art’).

Plus, there is something inherently funny about horror as a genre.

The process of being scared is often laughably entertaining (well, I chuckled all the way through Saw 3). And throughout its history, horror has been the domain of lo-to-no-budget filmmakers who have experimented with often hilariously terrible special effects as they find their directorial feet – hence the inclusion in this list of two early Peter Jackson movies.

So I present to you my Top 10 Horror-Comedies. Some are more intentionally funny than others, but all are essentially horror films that made me laugh when I watched them.

Meet the Winners of the Banana Republic Mad Men Casting Call

Mad Men Season 5? Not quite yet. But you do know one thing about next season: The winners of Banana Republic's Mad Men Casting Call, who scored a walk-on role. This year, the competition was so fierce and the entries so good that Matthew Weiner had a hard time choosing just one Grand Prize Winner, so he selected two winners to receive walk-on roles! Out of the 20 semi-finalists, one actor and one actress were selected: Carolina Monte Rosa from Baltimore, MD and Boris Powers from Staten Island, NY. Each will each receive the grand prize of a walk-on role and a $1,000 Banana Republic gift card. Runners up Audrey Torres (a.k.a. "Where Is He Now?") and Evan Berger will each get a $1,000 Banana Republic gift card, too.

See the rest of them here.

WTF @ the semi-finalists. I could've put together a better Mad Men ensemble blindfolded with my hands tied behind my back. Whatever, Weiner. I'm still pissed at you for cocking up that finale.

Ron Howard says 'gay' joke will stay in 'The Dilema'

Director Ron Howard has told the Los Angeles Times that he will not remove a controversial joke using the word “gay” from his forthcoming Vince Vaughn comedy The Dilemma. Responding in writing to questions posed by Times columnist Patrick Goldstein, Howard explained that the line needs to be understood in the context of the movie and Vaughn’s character.

Writes Howard: “I believe in sensitivity but not censorship. I feel that our film is taking additional heat as an emblem for many movies and TV shows that preceded it that have even more provocative characterizations and language. It is a slight moment in The Dilemma meant to demonstrate an aspect of our lead character’s personality, and we never expected it to represent our intentions or the point of view of the movie or those of us who made it.” Howard did say he believed Universal made the “appropriate” decision in removing the line from the film’s original trailer.

Living in sin is the new thing

Christina Aguilera is accused of having a lesbian threesome, vaginas everywhere are vigorously fanned

Adding petrol to the fire that is Christina Aguilera's alleged lesbianism, Sam Ronson's music producer has come out (unlike Aguilera) and accused the the pair of enjoying a threesome together. Could it be true, or is it yet another urban myth of popular culture - like Fearne Cotton wasn't sent from hell, or that Cheryl Cole can sing?

Only two weeks ago, an either fame-hungry or fictional woman claimed to have been sexually propositioned by Aguilera in a nightclub toilet. And now Marlon David, Sam Ronson's music producer has sparked yet more rumours about the singer's sexuality, claiming:

"Sam said she had a threesome with Xtina in Mexico last month, that's when she realised she was 'a hot piece of ass'. Sam said Xtina is 'horny as a college freshman'."

And that 'hot piece of ass' can be seen being as 'horny as a college freshman' in an apparently erotic advert for her new perfume, 'Royal Desire', which has got the Daily Mail into a right fix. They compare it to a "low budget soft-porn film", despite the lack of any sexual activity and the only vaguely erotic thing about it being the fact she has a visible cleavage.

See for yourself here while we go and search for the Ronson-Aguilera video elsewhere...

JYJ: The Biggest Boy Band In The World You've Never Heard Of

Trivia question: Who's the biggest boy band in the world? Backstreet Boys? *NSYNC? New Kids? Hanson? Take That? Menudo? Nope. According to reliable source Guinness World Records, it's JYJ.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Never heard of JYJ? Well, obviously you haven't been to Korea lately, where the group's singers, Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, and Kim Junsu, are bigger than Justin Timberlake. Their popularity in their homeland landed them in Guinness in 2008 and 2009 for having the world's largest official fanclub (more than 800,000 members in Seoul alone) and for being the most photographed celebrities on the planet (they've been snapped professionally approximately 500 million times).

And now JYJ are going global, as they release their first English-language album, The Beginning, on Atlantic Records. The disc features production on two tracks, "Empty" and "Be My Girl," by superstar studio guru Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige), and the album's lead single, "Ayyy Girl," actually boasts vocals and production by a little American artist named Kanye West.

Zach Galifianakis Sparks a Joint on Real Time With Bill Maher

In a few days, California voters will decide on Proposition 19, which would legalize marijuana and allow the local government to regulate and tax the drug. The federal government has warned that no matter what the voters decide, federal law will remain the same and smoking marijuana will be a problem. Comedian Zach Galifianakis, meanwhile, voiced his support for the ballot proposition on last night's Real Time With Bill Maher by, uh, smoking.

"I think that maybe people see it as taboo still," said Galifianakis, sitting right next to noted marijuana enthusiast Bill Maher. As MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell started speaking about the upcoming vote, Galifianakis pulled out a joint and lit it.

He passed it to his right, to Fox News' Margaret Hoover, who did not take a hit, but smelled the joint and nodded. "Oh, it's real," she said, convincingly amused. And the crowd goes wild.

Glee is the new Heroes

Glee, Glee, Glee. Are we watching you disintegrate before our very eyes? After the creatively-cruddy Britney Spears episode, I began to be concerned. After the Rocky Horror Show, I started to actively worry. And now Susan Boyle has been confirmed to join the Glee-tards for their holiday episode, I’m convinced: Glee is the new Heroes.

Allow me to explain. If there are two things I love in this world, it’s comic books and musicals (imagine how excited I must be for the disaster-prone Spider-Man musical!). If there’s a superhero punching the hell out of a bad guy, or intricately-choreographed dance number, I’ll be there, front row. But though my love is intense, it’s not blind or uncritical. And I can’t help but see that the same malady that dragged Heroes down from a beloved new series to a laughable butt of a joke is about to infect Glee.

Sia talks Gaga and Christina; Beyonce's name comes up

Sia confirms Christina Aguilera had 'never' heard of Gaga

In what was the most enjoyable, honest and revealing interview MusicFIX has ever done, songbird Sia, slammed any suggestion of Christina Aguilera copying Lady Gaga and told us why she won't win at the ARIAs.

The Aussie songbird, a co-writer on Aguilera's widely panned Bionic album claims that Aguilera was channeling the '60s and A Clockwork Orange and not copying Lady Gaga as everyone seems to think.

"The truth is, I asked her about Lady Gaga and she really hadn't ever heard of her. She's not involved. She doesn't listen to pop. At home Jordy [her soon to-be ex-husband] brings music to her," with Sia confirming all the bad press had "knocked" the singer for "six".

While Sia managed to crack the UK and US music charts years ago, only recently has her homeland cottoned on to the quirky lady. With six ARIA nominations up her sleeve, she is convinced her "defector expat" status means she won't go home with a statue.

"I've been gone too long, I'm new but also I'm an old person who's been around for too long. And I doubt that as a defector I would garner a lot of votes. And I don't care. I'm not an awards driven person. I know I'm a good person. I don't need awards to tell me that."

And one of Oz's most successful songwriters could soon hear her words sung by Britney or Pink with both performers currently considering a few of her tunes. But it's Beyonce she's really chasing.

"Beyonce! She's my queen. Now that I've written for Christina, and I hope I keep writing for her because she's a f**king powerhouse, but Beyonce is my queen."

I was surprised at how much I liked Professor Bunsen Jude "The Science Dude", I very much enjoyed Hodgins and Jude's experiment. But I LOL'd so hard at Bones at the end of this episode in her costume.

Also: in the promos for Bones it shows scenes for the next 3 episodes, not just next week's. (I'm especially looking forward to the "The Babe in the Bar" ep. as it looks interesting/particularly disgusting. LOL)

EDIT: I've decided that I'm going to be posting the promos/sneak peeks for House MD, Lie to Me, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice each week since it seems that no one else is posting them anymore to ONTD. I'll probably post them the day after each new episode airs since that's when they go up on YT.

BTW, just noticed this is kind of TL;DR. Oops, sorry ONTD.

Don't mime, Cheryl: You're no Aretha, but you CAN sing!

The miming controversy that accompanied her performance on The X Factor last Sunday did Cheryl Cole no favours.

'Ripley' gang reunites for 'Contagion'

U.S. director Steven Soderbergh has begun shooting "Contagion," a global thriller starring Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law. The three previously co-starred in "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne and Kate Winslet also star in the film, Warner Bros. Pictures said this week.

"Contagion" follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days.

"As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart," the studio said.

Filming is to take place on location around the world, including sites in Hong Kong, Macao, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Abu Dhabi, London and Geneva. The movie is slated for release in October 2011.

Brass, 55, said: "He was lively and fun, but soon became very possessive and I thought, 'This isn't what I want'. I found him menacing, he was so intense it was scary.

Syfy's Red worth a look

Werewolves need their own lobby group, obviously. Werewolves were the baddies in True Blood this past season. The Vampire Diaries has finally introduced the hairy dudes after a couple of seasons of foreshadowing. Werewolves were the heavies in a particularly disgusting pre-Halloween vampires-versus-werewolves episode of CSI.

And now, on this most hallowed of occasions -- the eve before Halloween -- the critters are nasties in a modern day, made-for-TV movie based on the legend of Little Red Riding Hood.

Capri Anderson - I will sue Charlie Sheen

Capri Anderson
is getting ready to drop a legal bomb on Charlie Sheen -- TMZ has learned the porn star is planning to sue Charlie for the events that went down during his hotel meltdown in NYC.

Sources close to Anderson tell TMZ ... she believes Charlie was acting so crazy in his hotel room at The Plaza Hotel on Tuesday morning -- that she felt her life was in danger ... and she also felt like she was being held in the room against her will.

As we previously reported, Charlie tore the room apart -- busting a chair and causing damage to several hotel items. Capri ended up locking herself in the bathroom and calling hotel security.

Capri claims Charlie also threatened her in the hotel room, although she made no mention of this to NYC cops when they interviewed her about the incident.

FYI -- law enforcement sources tell us officials have no plans to file charges against Charlie.

Alice Cooper: Gaga will be remembered

Alice Cooper has praised Lady Gaga, saying she is so good she is already in “the history of rock 'n' roll”.

The veteran American rocker is famed for his extravagant, horror-inspired stage shows, which have included fake blood, guillotines and seen him pretend to die.
Alice sees Gaga as his natural successor, and has been impressed with the way she has changed the landscape of pop music.

Gaga is renowned for her extravagant outfits, having worn a lobster hat and clothes made entirely of meat in the past. She also goes to town on her stage shows, regularly saying any money she makes goes into making her set as lavish as possible.

“I would imagine this year there's going to be ten million Lady Gagas dressed up trick or treating for Halloween. She's great because she gets it, but she can back it up. She can sing, she can write, she can play piano, she's not just a costume queen,”
Alice told British newspaper The Sun.

"You can be as outrageous as you wanna be, as long as you can back it up with the music. She said if you're gonna do it, go as far out on a limb as you can, like Alice Cooper did. She's totally outrageous. Lady Gaga's already in the history of rock 'n' roll."

Alice added he wishes more people in the industry would take risks like Gaga does. He’s bored of seeing bands churn out the same music while wearing the same clothes, and doesn’t think that’s what being a rock star is about. He insists people in the profession should be outlandish and exciting, and give fans something to look up to which is totally different.

“Everybody's trying to be so politically correct, everybody's so afraid of offending people, of stepping outside the norm. I see bands and I go, 'What, he went down to Gap and bought a pair of corduroys and a shirt?' What fun is that? ” he said. “Nobody will remember 90% of the rock bands, but they'll remember Gaga. When people say party like a rock star, they don't say party like a politician, party like a banker. Be Keith Richards."

The Dilemma: Why Ron Howard & GLAAD Are Both Right And Both Wrong

When I saw the first trailer for The Dilemma, opening with Vince Vaughn proclaiming “electric cars are gay,” I remember thinking first, “Ugh, not another lame gay joke,” thinking second, “Ugh, not another lame boneheaded dudes comedy,” and thinking third, “Whoa, Ron Howard directed this?” And then I didn’t think about it at all — the trailer and the movie left my brain immediately. In fact, if it hadn’t been for Anderson Cooper obliquely referencing the trailer while discussing the recent rash of coverage of anti-gay bullying and gay youth suicides on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, I don’t think I would have given another moment’s thought to The Dilemma — save the decision not to see it when it comes out in theaters Jan. 14.

Rival Princess Diana Biopics In The Works

If British tabloid The Daily Mail is to be believed, two biopics on the controversial life of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, are reportedly in the works with high-profile actresses linked to the lead roles.

The first project is being spearheaded by producer Stephen Evans (”Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind”) of Renaissance Films, who plans to adapt a book by Diana’s lifelong bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, titled Diana: Closely Guarded Secret, which provides a “first-hand account [that] takes issue with many of the so-called ‘facts’ about the Princess that have appeared in books and the media since her death, and provides an affectionate, if not always uncritical, insight into this complex, troubled, but ultimately deeply fascinating woman.”

Simon Pegg Keen on Playing the Villain of Edgar Wright's Ant-Man Movie

Attending the premiere of his latest venture Burke and Hare, English actor Simon Pegg, known for one of his many collaborations with director Edgar Wright; Shaun of the Dead, was drawn into questions regarding Wright's early-staged Ant-Man movie. In an excerpt from an interview with London View’s Matthew Turner, Pegg answers...

Would you play Ant-Man if they asked you to?
"Ed's not going to ask me to play Ant-Man! He wants some young – he'll want, like Chris Evans to do it or one of his new American buddies."

Evans can't be Captain America AND Ant-Man though.
"Oh, that's true. Yeah, that's true. I don't know – I don't think I'd want to play Ant-Man. I think it would be more fun to play a villain in that thing. I'd like to play a villain. But no, they're going to want some good-looking young American. That's a Marvel movie – funny-looking British actors don't play a big part in that unless they're bad."

Olivia Munn: Rally To Restore Sanity Reporter!

Olivia Munn heads to The Daily Show’s Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear at the National Mall on Saturday (October 30) in Washington, DC.

Ten Pants-Wetting Playstation Gaming Moments

by Mike Harradence

Halloween. It’s a corner of the year that is synonymous with many things to many people. For Joe public, it’ll likely signal the chance to whip out the pumpkins, dress up in some ostentatious and inappropriately revealing costume and head out in to the night for a good old knees up. Film fanatics may adopt a more anti-social route by planting their backside on the sofa, loading up on copious amounts of chips and other obligatory junk, kicking back and firing up a Friday the 13th Marathon on the box.

When it comes to gamers, though, Halloween affords ample opportunity to indulge in a night’s worth of our favorite “scary” videogames, whether that be the psychological freak show that is Silent Hill or the blood-filled zombie fest in Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise. These days we’re spoilt for choice though, with newcomers like Dead Space and Siren: Blood Curse also muscling their way in for that fabled Halloween marathon spot. And let’s face it—as gamers, we relish in the chance to piss ourselves with terror whenever the chance pops up.

Over the years, gaming aficionados have had a myriad of standout, pant-wetting shocks drilled in to their minds that have lead to countless sleepless, sweat-filled nights, and it’s these iconic, fright-filled moments that the chaps at PSU Towers have braved to celebrate in conjunction with Halloween 2010. We’ve plucked ten moments spanning the PlayStation brand’s illustrious 15-year history worth of scares for your consumption below.
