Going to the gym and punching out some of my aggression on a pair of mitts has been a lifesaver. Sometimes I felt so depressed I didn't want to get out of bed, so just getting to the gym--even for a few minutes--was a big accomplishment. It really did make me feel better and kind of saved me. It gave me a bit of sanity.
My relationship with Dean was great, but ultimately it wasn't a fulfilling marriage for either of us. We got married so young: I was 19 and he was 21, so as we got older, we grew apart. I understand why people are disappointed in me,especially since I grew up as America's sweetheart. I think any relationship is hard to get out of, and I don't think the way I did it was right. I truly believe there are lessons in it for me to learn. Cultivating strength from rough situations is the most important thing. After going through this, I know I can face anything.
I feel like my body is changing and that I'm growing up into a woman. I probably weigh about 6 pounds more than when I shot that cover, but my body fat is the lowest it's ever been. I've gained a lot of muscle, and I feel like I have more curves too. My butt--well, I've always had a butt--but now I definitely have a butt, which I love. I've taken up weight training three or four times a week, and I do a lot of squats. I've also been doing more cardio, even though I absolutely despise it. I try to get in a good 20 to 25 minutes before I do anything else; if I don't do it first, it won't happen.
This is Puggy the Pekingese from Texas who now holds the Guinness World Record for having the longest doggy tongue on the planet. Puggy's tongue is so damn long that he can lick your dog's ass from a few miles away. Guinness says that Puggy's tongue measures in at 4.5 inches, almost as long as his body.

"Is that Shane Lopes?" Perry said in a break between songs. "You were the most popular kid in my class! But you never wanted to date me, it was always Amanda Wayne. Oh yeah, you really chose right honey. What's up. What's up now, player. I'm going to dedicate this next one to Shane Lopes everyone. "HAHAHAHAHAH. Get it??? Because stupid Shane Lopes didn't want to build a little loveshack on acres of forehead, he is so gay. Ha ha!! Gay is so stupid. Except when you're kissing gurlz and kinda liking it! Then it's fine, tee hee. Also, Katherine: "Player"? Fuck you. Just seriously. You are the living worst. Please go live alone by yourself on your stupid candy planet for hacks and curl up with Jesus or whoever it is that's convenient for you to be in league with these days and let the grownups do their things here on Earth.
She then launched into a rendition of her song Ur So Gay as the crowd cheered and howled in laughter.

Ellen DeGeneres unveiled Tom Andrews, a 16-year-old singer from the U.K., as the latest signing to her eleveneleven record label on Thursday (Sept. 16).
DeGeneres introduced Andrews to her talk show audience in an episode airing this afternoon, during which the teen spoke with DeGeneres briefly and then performed James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World."
During the interview, DeGeneres recalled tracking down Andrews by phone. "I just called you of the blue at home and I said, 'Hi, I'm Ellen and come here [to the show]'," she said. "So, here you are."
Andrews said he started singing three years ago after auditioning for a competition. "My mom saw an ad in a newspaper. It was just for a singing contest and she said, 'Why don't you enter? It will be fun.' So I did," Andrews said. "I sung 'Let it Be' and the guy said, 'Where are your parents? You are amazing.'"
According to an interview Andrews conducted with BBC radio in October 2009, the young singer was selected to open for U.K. pop trio the Noisettes last fall, after the band launched a MySpace contest allowing unsigned artists to submit their music for consideration.
DeGeneres' first signing to eleveneleven is 12-year-old Greyson Chance, who became a YouTube sensation in a matter of days after covering Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" at a school talent show. Chance's debut album is slated for release this fall.( Collapse )

Q: You've managed to make a successful transition from a child star to 20s-something actress. What's the tip?
A: "If you stay true to who you are you will find roles that will reflect what you are trying to portray. I am growing up, I am 24, and so I find roles that fit that. In my latest movie, "Revenge of the Bridesmaids," I played a 27-year-old author and I had a bottle of wine in it."
Q: So you do pick and choose your roles?
A: "Yes and I have been chugging along slowly which is how I want my career to go. There have been projects I have said no to as I am selective. I think it is hard now in the industry as there are not a lot of jobs going but if you stay true to who you are and you pick the right things your career will last longer than if people get sick of seeing your face."
Q: How do you keep out of the gossip magazines?
A: "I just don't go to places where people take crazy shots of me...I have fun and hit the parties and I know all the business and gossip but it is so easy to avoid the paparazzi. You just don't go to the hot spots. I would rather have the publicity and the media when I have something to promote."
