The Tallest Man On Earth Releases a Little EP

What a lovely surprise! Kristian Mattson, aka The Tallest Man On Earth snuck in a little 5 song EP last week when no one was looking. This, less than five months after his breakthrough album The Wild Hunt completely knocked the wind out of me. And, guess what? The EP is flat out fantastic.

I am gonna go out on a limb here--this guy is the most talented folk musician I've heard this decade. Many have compared him to Dylan but the difference is, this guy can sing. Bonus? He's from Sweden.

Just have a listen to "The Dreamer" where the addition of electric guitar has me absolutely stoked to see what he's gonna do next.

Apparently Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet are notorious weed smokers

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Meeting Marion

Poor Jacek. I had 24 hours of her from Saturday through Sunday and he got nothing. Saturday morning it was a screening for Little White Lies (Les Petits Mouchoirs) directed by Guillaume Canet. It’s not a bad movie, and she’s lovely in it, but goddamn, the film started at 9am. I had to be in makeup by 11am to make it to her red carpet before noon, and at 11:30am the movie was still happening and finally at 11:35pm I had to run with a bare face to slap some concealer on at the office to head to the theatre. The f-ck?

Unless Daniel Day Lewis is in your picture and your name is Martin Scorsese, there is no reason it should be two hours FORTY MINUTES LONG!!! I love Guillaume, so much, but it’s a bit vain. Enjoyable enough, but a bit vain. You don’t need to include all your favourite songs in a montage.

The Spring Marc Jacobs show attracted a whole host of celebrity support. Celebrities like Alexa Chung and Courtney Love sat alongside stylist Rachel Zoe and designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Each of the stylish ladies showed off their own individual style from Rachel in a grey maxi to DVF in printed trousers, and from Alexa in a pretty shift to Courtney in a leather number.

Out of these four ladies, which do you think is the most fab?

Love It or Hate It: Kelly Osbourne's Extensions

Last night, Kelly Osbourne stepped out for Tracy Reese's fashion show at New York Fashion Week and caused a stir with her brand new hairstyle. Kelly unveiled a set of long straight blonde hair extensions for the event, sweeping in them back off her face 1980s style with a lace Alice band (very Madonna!) She paired the look with dark winged eye makeup and simple pale pink lipstick. I thought she looked great! It's certainly a change from Kelly's recent vibe, which has been more about chic coiffed blow dries and retro curls. It was also nice to see her change things up a bit.

What do you think of Kelly's hair extensions?

Known for his flamboyant designs and over the top shows, designer Richie Rich didn’t disappoint during his Spring 2011 show at this year’s NY Fashion Week. Rich, who was one half of the wildly popular, celebrity-endorsed brand Heatherette and former club kid, creations are known for being bright and shiny; definitely the kinds of pieces you were if you are trying to make a statement.

Though no longer working on Heatherette, Rich isn’t experiencing a shortage of celebrity support of his solo line. During his debut show in 2009 blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson took to the runway, however this year another blonde strutted her stuff in a Richie Rich Fashion Week creation. During the show’s finale Ellen Degeneres emerged from behind the curtain to a barrage of applause and silver confetti to match the metallic suit and lace up sneakers she was decked out in; and in true Richie Rich style, atop her head was a tiny top hat.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Degeneres came back out with Rich as he took the traditional designer runway walk. They were hand-in-hand as they took in the cheers from attendees (all of whom were on their feet) and struck poses full of attitude. Celebrities in attendances included Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi, musicians The Veronicas, Ice-T and Coco, singer JoJo and designer Nicole Miller among others.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicWhen we said Nicole Richie is getting serious with her business, we weren’t kidding. The socialite and tv personality is now expanding her fashion line, House of Harlow by adding its first bag line this coming Spring 2011, and eyewear collection.

There will be 18 bag designs and if you think that’s too few, word is it will be expanded into more than 30 styles in the Fall 2011 collection. Nicole Richie told WWD:

“There are boho styles with fringe, and we’re also doing sophisticated clutches. We used leathers, suede, patchwork and even feathers on one style.”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The bags will retail from $295 to $495. Aside from the bag collection, Nicole Richie is also pushing sunglasses to be within the House of Harlow 1960 lineup.

“Sunglasses are really important to me. I have over 500 pairs in my own collection. I think they’re really fun and you can create a different personality with sunglasses. They’re like little masks.”

House of Harlow 1960 features fashion-statements collection in the sunglasses line, including a cat-eye frame and others with chains attached to the temples. The retail prices will range from $110 to $195.

Handbags, novels, now sunglasses. Nicole Richie is one busy girl. But do we love the sunglasses? Yes we do.

Britney Spears may be master of her own domain again by the end of the year.

While lawyers kept mum on the details after spending more than two hours in judge's chambers this afternoon, a source close to the Circus attraction tells E! News that the court is gearing up to end Britney's conservatorship, in place since February 2008.

"Everyone involved believes she has the necessary proof that she is competent to be in charge of her affairs," says the source, and "she's more than ready."

An excuse to make a Dhani Harrison post

Owen Wilson Is a Real Whiz on the Golf Course

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Owen Wilson may be a pisser on the big screen, but when it comes to the golf course, he's just, well, this pic pretty much says it all, no?

While hitting the links in Maui, the actor evidently decided there was no time like the present to put down the clubs in his bag and make use of the one in his pants instead.

Ugh. Even Marley would have had the decency to look for a tree.

Christina Hendricks won't go nude for movie

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Christina Hendricks has been inundated with movie offers over the past few months — but has turned most of them down because they require her to go nude!

The busty Mad Men star is keen to break into movies — but is adamant she won’t be taking her clothes off, sources say.

“Christina is riding the crest of a wave right now and the offers are flooding in,” says a source close to the star.

“She would love to do more movies and is in the process of considering projects to tie in with the show’s hiatus. She has noticed though that a good number of roles she’s being offered require her to go nude.

“Clearly everyone wants to see more of Christina but she doesn’t want to be over exposed in the wrong way.”

Hendricks recently revealed that she’d like to star in a musical.

“I sing a bit and I would like to pursue possibly doing a musical or something,” she said.

“I’m still plugging away at my accordion.”

“I’m quite nerdy and goofy. Joan is so poised and pulled together,” she added. “I’m sort of notorious for making a corn salad and forgetting the corn. But I’m getting much better.”

Kanye’s ‘Runaway’ Video Will Be 40 Minutes Long

"I'm color-correcting this film I shot in Prague a couple weeks ago," Kanye West told the Fug Girls at the Rodarte show. It's called Runaway and it's a "40-minute noir piece based on his new album." Says Ye: "It's the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world. I've been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It's been in my heart for a while. It's maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person."

Bruce Springsteen oozes cool on the TIFF red carpet

The coolest man at TIFF can’t get his own kids excited. But he understands why

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bruce Springsteen was the coolest thing going at TIFF Tuesday night, with fans paying scalpers upwards of $300 for a $40 ticket to his Mavericks chat at the Bell Lightbox.

But the New Jersey rocker laughed at how uncool he is to the children he has with Patti Scialfa, his wife and fellow E Street Band member.

The Springsteen kids don't even want to see their parents perform.

“Why would any kid want to come and see thousands cheer their parents?” Springsteen, 60, told actor and friend Edward Norton, guest interviewer for the TIFF session.

“They'd rather see thousands boo their parents!”

The Springsteen kids are now about the same age “The Boss” was back in 1977, when he was 27 and trying to make the album that would be released a year later titled Darkness on the Edge of Town.

It was a transitional album for Springsteen, moving him from his insular small-town life to a world influenced by films, books and his own searing ambition, and he was determined to get it all out in one blast.

The album, and the personal and legal hardships Springsteen and his band endured making it, are the subject of Thom Zimny's documentary The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town, which had its Gala world premiere Tuesday night at Roy Thomson Hall, immediately following the Mavericks session.

The film contains unseen backstage film of Springsteen and his band at work, with the long hair and scruffy clothes that his kids now declare “look ridiculous,” Springsteen said, laughing.

But that's okay by him. He said he understands his kids' attitude, because back in 1977-78 he was angry and questioning the world. He was particularly upset with America's declining industrial heartland, the legacy of the Vietnam War and the general “loss of innocence” he perceived in his country.

The album was born of “a huge amount of ego, ambition and hunger,” Springsteen said.

robyn on gossip girl?!

Pop Songstress Robyn Visits The Upper East Side

Last season, "Gossip Girl" fans were treated to a performance by Lady Gaga. In Season 4, another pop star will be making a splash in NYC -- Robyn. The singer tweeted a photo from set on Sept. 14, having flown into New York after making an all-too-brief appearance on MTV's Video Music Awards.

(Come on, we can't be the only ones disappointed that MTV cut to a commercial break during her performance. Verizon commercials over Robyn? Really?)

We're hoping that Robyn's performance on "Gossip Girl" will give her a bit of much-needed U.S. exposure, since she's already a sensation in her native Sweden (and the rest of Europe, for that matter). Here, she might be best known for her 1997 hit "Show Me Love," but she's recently dropped her latest album, "Body Talk Pt. 2."

The network confirms that Robyn appears as a surprise guest at Blair's birthday party, and performs her song "Hang With Me."

omg to be honest i hate gossip girl more than anything ever since s2 but i just discovered the perfection of every song that robyn has ever made like, yesterday and i'm now 0bsessed

John Oliver + Monty Python = AWESOMENESS

Phoenix Pictures’ Mike Medavoy, David Thwaites, and Brad Fischer are in Toronto to fan the Oscar buzz for the ultra-serious film Black Swan. But they’ve set as the next Phoenix project a comedy that will be directed by former Monty Python troupe member Terry Jones. They'll produce Absolutely Anything, from an original script Jones wrote with Gavin Scott. While circumspect about logline, they tell me it involves "aliens, a goofy Brit, a talking dog and buckets of silliness."

They’ve set The Daily Show with Jon Stewart correspondent John Oliver to star, and Jones is in discussions with Robin Williams to play the role of Dennis the Dog. He has reached out to former Python pals John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam to voice the aliens. The film will be financed out of the UK, and production will begin by next spring.

Medavoy has a long relationship with Jones that includes the films Monty Python's Life of Brian and Erik the Viking, both of which Jones directed. Asked about the dichotomy of following the ultra-serious Darren Aronofsky-directed Natalie Portman-starrer Black Swan and Shutter Island with a raucous comedy, Medavoy simply said, “Funny is money.” Based on the strong festival reaction to the obsessively driven ballerina tale Black Swan, there might be money in serious as well.

MJ Cemetery Charging 3 Bucks to Leave Gifts

It's gonna cost Michael Jackson fans if they want to continue leaving gifts inside the King of Pop's mausoleum -- because TMZ has learned the cemetery is now charging a special $3 MJ delivery fee.

According to sources at the infamous burial space, Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, CA has decided to take down the stage where fans were previously allowed to place gifts -- and are now enacting a new gifting policy ... so long as fans pay the price and abide by the rules.

Effective immediately, cemetery staff will take gifts for MJ inside the mausoleum -- where fans are still forbidden from setting foot -- for a $3 fee ... oh yeah, as long as those gifts are flowers.

Anything else -- teddy bears, posters, picture frames, candles -- will get dumped ... and if they run out of space inside, we're told excess gifts will have to brave the elements outside.

Jerry O’Connell: ‘They’re Like Baby Ghosts

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Jerry O’Connell probably never thought being a parent would be quite so scary, but now that he and wife Rebecca Romijn, 37, have moved their 21-month-old twin girls, Dolly (pictured above) and Charlie, from cribs to beds, his life has gotten a lot more … dramatic.

“They keep coming out of their beds and you’ll be sitting there, like you’ll be on the computer, and one will appear in back of you – and it scares the crap out of me,” the 36-year-old told OK! magazine. “They’re like baby ghosts standing in the middle of the house.”

He also complained that the kids are, “real clutchy, needy. They’re always crying every time I pass them,” then added with a laugh, “somebody’s got to help me with these kids. They’re crazy!”

This isn’t the first time that Jerry or his wife have talked about how difficult their daughters have become. He has said that, “It never gets easier. It gets worse and worse and worse and worse,” and also referred to the girls’ behavior not as the “terrible twos,” but rather as the “horrifically terrible twos. Everyone says, ‘it gets better.’ That is not my experience.”

Even mom Rebecca has voiced her issues with the girls, saying they can be “so annoying!”

Brolin also defends the acting prowess of Megan Fox, his costar in Jonah Hex. "What Megan has done is confuse everybody thoroughly," he says of Fox, 24. "To me, she's doing something more interesting than what a lot of other young people in movies are doing."

He even compares Fox to a classic movie actress. "Katharine Hepburn, one of the most appreciated actresses today, was hated back in her heyday. She was box office poison…They didn't understand her. Yet now we all look back and go, 'Okay, she was incredible,'" he says.

Brolin hopes to help Fox find work with his own film production company. "I would love to be the person who puts Megan in a film in which she can actually do something interesting."

Britney Haynes' Home Destroyed in Fire -- Big Brother 12 Finale Tonight

The Hillcrest home of a contestant on the CBS reality show "Big Brother" was destroyed early Wednesday, the same day she is to appear on the program's live finale.

Laura Grisham said her son, Nick Grisham, was awakened by the blaze at the home on the corner of Van Buren Street and Lee Avenue. Nick Grisham, who made it out without injury, is the fiance of Britney Haynes, the 23-year-old woman eliminated from winning the reality competition in last week's episode. She is slated to vote for the show's winner in tonight's finale.

Laura Grisham said the couple picked out the home and that her son helped move Haynes' belongings into the residence in July after she left to appear on "Big Brother," where she is sequestered from the outside world.

Nick Grisham called the producers to let them know about the fire, Laura Grisham said.

"He told them what happened and they agreed they wouldn't say anything to Britney," Laura Grisham said. "She can't do anything. The final show is tonight and it's live."

Smell Like Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, perhaps the most sought after and compelling name in show business these days, has signed a long-term licensing deal with Coty Inc. to create fragrances under her name.

Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing in the Coty Beauty division, told WWD exclusively the agreement was hammered out last week and the first Lady Gaga women’s scent is expected to be launched in spring 2012.

Mormoris sees the significance of the Lady Gaga deal in cultural terms with her appeal and huge following embodying all age groups worldwide. Describing her as a “phenomenon,” Mormoris clearly sees the singer as “a fascinating cultural force” who is capable of electrifying the market.

Further details of the deal and the fragrance were unavailable at press time.

Ryan Reynolds will produce an NBC comedy called Mayors of Casterbridge via his Dark Trick Films production company.

Deadline reports the comedy project, which was penned by Craig Doyle will “revolve around four elder statesmen of a classic American Neighborhood who have their community threatened by a young upstart determined on making Casterbridge just another homogenized tract home complex. These four men band together to restore their neighborhood to its glory days, while helping each other take on the new challenges in their life.‬”

Disney's 'Tangled' Gets a New Trailer!

Disney's latest 3D CGI animated fairy tale puts an interesting twist on the story of 'Rapunzel,' the Brothers Grimm tale about a young woman -- imprisoned in a stair-less tower by a witch -- whose long hair was used as a ladder to enter her room ("Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your golden hair"). And there she lived until a handsome prince rescued her.

The folks at Disney have taken the fairy tale and turned it all around. In 'Tangled,' Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) is now a feisty teenager who's spent all too many years locked away in a tower, and when the kingdom's most wanted -- and most charming -- bandit, Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi), decides that her room would make a safe hideout, she seizes upon the opportunity to make her escape. She takes Rider hostage, strikes a deal with him to go on the lam, and the unlikely duo set off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

[Moviefone's] Exclusive 'Tangled' trailer gives you a pretty good sneak peek at the film's gorgeous animation and action sequences and gives you a feel for yet another strong Disney princess: Rapunzel.

'Tangled' is scheduled to be released on Nov. 24.

Shane Meadows talks "This Is England '86"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"This sofa is quite 'Joan Collins' isn't it?" laughs Shane Meadows as we sit on a shiny leather-effect chesterfield inside London's British Film Institute. Meadows, the director behind Dead Man's Shoes and A Room for Romeo Brass, has been called "The Scorsese of the Midlands" for his no-holds-barred film-making (although he did point out online: "Scorsese has made some of the most important films of the 20th century, I have just made a Vesta Beef Curry for my breakfast"). The Staffordshire-born director has come to the BFI to talk about the follow-up to one of his most successful films - 2006's terrifying This is England, where sullen 12 year old Shaun (played by Thomas "Tomo" Turgoose) becomes part a skinhead gang that includes the likable Woody (Joe Gilgun) and Lol (Vicky McClure). Shaun's fledgling friendship group implodes, however, thanks to a vicious attack on Milky (Andrew Shim) by racist Compo (played with terrifying conviction by Stephen Graham). This week on Channel 4 we get to find out what happens next when the cast return to our screens in This is England '86. To mark one of the most eagerly anticipated TV events of the year, talked to Meadows about revisiting the past, being inspired by The Sopranos and why he hopes that his next film will be scarier than the work of Eli Roth...

Joe Jonas is Awesome, Beautiful, the King of Babies (Ok No, Not Really)

Tuesday was a very special day for the Jonas Brothers. The Casa Grande Regional Medical Center in Arizona named their nursery after Joe Jonas. This is the same hospital where Joe was born.

Joe was also on hand to donate $10,000 to the hospital on behalf of Change for the Children, enabling the hospital to buy equipment and update its newborn nursery. During the dedication ceremony, the nursery was officially dubbed the Joe Jonas Nursery.

“I’ve never had anything like this named after me,” Jonas told a crowd of about 50 people who gathered for a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at the hospital.

Jonas was born at the hospital on Aug. 15, 1989, weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces. According to TrivValley Central, among those in attendance at Tuesday’s event was the delivery room nurse who attended in Jonas’ birth, Deborah Hoeft (formerly Browning).

“We are so excited to dedicate our nursery to Joe Jonas because we want to inspire our small-town community to know that their children can accomplish wonderful dreams,” said Rona Curphy, president and CEO of CGRMC.

“We consider ourselves family here at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, and it is nice that one of our family members has come back to lend his name to our facility,” she said. “Joe Jonas is the perfect example of dream, believe and succeed.”

Danielle Staub may not be living near her Real Housewives of New Jersey costars anymore, but she says one of them is still in touch.

But they're not exactly exchanging pleasantries...

"Dina [Manzo] texts me," Staub told me the other day. "Yep, Dina—who's not even on the Housewives anymore. She's hanging for dear life. Shut the f--k up, Dina!"

"She's threatening me," Staub claimed. "She's an idiot. I don't answer them."

Manzo begs to differ. "I left for a reason to get her out of my life,"
she said. "I wish she would just do the same and move on."

Staub also said that she was hospitalized during season two when she was writing her autobiography, The Naked Truth. She said rehashing her troubled younger years took a toll on her. "I got to write my book, which was extremely healing and difficult, but there were times when I just got sick," she said. "I was hospitalized for three days, but for three months I was very ill. It was all my intestines and my head hurt. I didn't feel good."

But now, despite last season's hair-tugging drama and raucous reunion, Staub insists she's all good. reported this morning that she's signed on to host Social, a Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous-like show for WealthTV.

"I think I'm better than them," she said referring to the other Housewives. "They think they're better than me by calling me garbage? Um, no! And I am way, way more comfortable with myself than any of them will ever be—collectively."

Chris Brown sulks, doesn't tip

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
While Rihanna rocked the house on Sunday night at the Video Music Awards -- her opening act with Eminem was voted best performance by MTV viewers -- her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, sulked in a corner at Veranda nightclub in the West Village.

"He looked lifeless," a witness said. "He barely spoke to anyone and refused to take pictures with fans."

On top of that, the disgraced rapper, who was given two free bottles of vodka at the club, stayed for two hours and didn't leave a tip.

Anna Wintour: 'GaGa is just a childish diva'‎

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Anyone who struts about with a slab of meat on their head is obviously a little full of themselves. So it doesn't surprise me that Anna Wintour labelled Lady Gaga "a childish diva".

The cold-as-ice Vogue editor-in-chief met Gaga back in May when she performed at Anna's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala.

Maureen Callahan, author of much-anticipated biography Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga, said: "She (Lady Gaga) sort of had a meltdown before she went on and as it was described to me, Anna was really none too pleased with her."

She added: "Anna wasn't impressed. She thought she was just behaving like a childish diva and not the professional who was about to perform for her peers; these incredibly famous designers and celebrities.

"She sequestered herself in the back room for a good hour. She was late to perform and I also heard that she had been demanding things. She went to Anna at the last minute and was saying, 'I'd like it to be this way.'

"And Anna just said no. I don't think she's used to hearing that very often. When you're dealing with two egos like that, it gets interesting."

British-born journalist Anna recently spoke to US chat show host Jimmy Fallon about the incident.

"We had Lady Gaga this year. She was communing with God and she was praying in the back, waiting for God to tell her it was alright to go actually onstage."

Brian Austin Green: Megan Fox boosted my confidence

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Brian Austin Green is a lucky guy and he knows it. The actor is married to one of the hottest women in Hollywood and credits wife Megan Fox with helping the public move past his nerdy "90210" alter ego, David Silver.

"We've been together for six years," Green says of the 24-year-old "Transformers" star in the October issue of Details. "Find a picture of one of us with any other boyfriend or girlfriend - I challenge you. You'll only find pictures of her doing press with Shia LaBeouf or me with my son. That's it. We never once dated anyone else or did anything else."

Still, Green admits that when he first met Fox, he was hardly in the mood for romance. He had just ended his relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil (the couple have an 8-year-old son, Kassius) and "90210" had finished its 10-year run.

"I never wanted to leave my house. I was afraid of the press. I was afraid of people's opinions of me," admits Green, 37. "I would walk into a Coffee Bean and not want to look the guy behind the counter in the eyes because I was afraid he was thinking, 'Oh, that's that ridiculous guy from "90210" who put out the hip-hop album.' Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence. And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched."

Now Green is showing off that confidence – and a whole lot more – with his new role as a buff contractor on ABC's "Desperate Housewives."

"I've got to say it's a whole new world for me. I've never played a hunky guy," he says. "There was one day when I had to take my shirt off. I must have done 400 push-ups. I feel like I understand the pressure that women go through. I feel, like, all-woman at times."

Stuck in an Elevator With the Devil? An Elevator Expert Tells Us What to Do

The supernatural horror movie Devil comes out this weekend, and if you’ve seen the trailer, you’re aware that much of the movie takes place in an elevator where a variety of terrible things happen. The lights turn off, glass shatters, women are mysteriously bitten, the elevator itself plummets, and strange people with smoky faces appear in broken mirrors. And, presumably, the devil eventually makes an appearance. Curious about whether these unlucky passengers might have fared differently if they'd been better aware of elevator-safety protocol, we got in touch with Dilip Rangnekar, elevator expert and director of communications at Otis, the world’s biggest elevator manufacturer. He calmed our nerves, kind of.

Wendy Williams Hates Swedish Candy, Eats it Anyway

On 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), actress Malin Akerman shares food from her native Sweden, including Tyrkisk Peber, a black liquorice candy flavored with salmiac and pepper, that (literally) leaves a bad taste in Wendy Williams' mouth.

"But, I skip the black Chuckle in the Chuckles package," Williams said, eying the candy skeptically. Still, she gamely pops it into her mouth, then spits into her hand a moment later. "This is horrible! It is hard for me not to like anything."

But Williams tries again at Akerman's urging, this time biting into the spicy center. "This is the worst! But you can tell a true fatty, because a true fatty swallows it anyway," Williams said, finishing the candy.

Models Fight For Their Rights... And Get Them

For many years, British models like Erin O'Connor have been fighting for models rights. The work they do is generally unregulated with no set pay rates, unfair pressures and no official safety standards. Well, all that is about to change as the trade union Equity has established the first ever London Fashion Week Model Programme.

This employment contract agrees minimum rates of pay annually for the fashion showcase, a minimum age of 16, guidelines for working conditions and health and safety standards. Models Dunja Knezevic and Victoria Keon-Cohen were the first to approach the trade union and are now the chair and vice chair on the Models Committee.

Keon-Cohen explained, "We started the Models Union after working internationally and our frustration mounted because of the inconsistencies in our workplace. We are pursuing the simple day-to-day rights that other professions take for granted."

I think this is great news and makes complete sense. Let's hope the idea is rolled out across all of the international fashion weeks!

Penn Badgley Wears the Same Outfit to Two Different Premieres Two Days in a Row

Check out these two pictures of actor Penn Badgley at different events this week. The picture on the left is from the premiere of his new movie, "Easy A," held in LA on Monday. The picture on the right is from last night's Boston premiere of "The Town," co-starring his girlfriend Blake Lively. Notice any similarities?

I'm glad he at least changed the shirt underneath, but it's still the same suit-and-shoes combo! That's a red carpet faux pas if I ever saw one. What do you think about his repeat fashion offense, ONTD? And who wore it better: Penn on Monday, or Penn on Tuesday?

KANYESUS SPEAKS/EPIC XXL COVER: 'Felt Very Alone' After Taylor Swift Fiasco

first this gqmf invented the moving painting, now this crazy 2 headed illuminati magazine shit? bow down

After a year of avoiding the press, Kanye West is ready to tell his side of the story. The 'Runaway' singer penned his first article for XXL magazine, and PopEater has the exclusive first look at his reaction to the 2009 Taylor Swift VMA debacle.

"I stress that the incident wasn't about Taylor personally. And it definitely wasn't about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it's your show, Taylor. It's your show, MTV," West explains in XXL's October 2010 issue, on stands next week.

"The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend. How could I not, at a certain point, be like, 'I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been at the awards show. I'm sorry.' Not that I don't deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn't happen again."

West is, of course, speaking about the notorious night last year when he stormed the stage at the VMAs, grabbed Swift's mic and told the audience that a different artist (Beyonce) deserved to win the Best Female Video award that had just been awarded to the young pop star.

During Sunday night's 2010 VMAs, West performed his non-answer to Swift's song about him. And while he didn't exactly address last year's incident, he did take aim at his disrespectful behavior.

"I knew I wasn't in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone," he writes in the mag.

Linkin Park Will Beat Trey Songz, Weezer, Brandon Flowers

Linkin Park “A Thousand Suns” Album Sales Soft, Still Top Trey Songz, Weezer
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“A Thousand Suns,” Linkin Park’s follow-up to “Minutes to Midnight,” is pacing for a number one debut on next week’s album sales chart.
The news is not all rosy, however, as first week sales will pale in comparison to those for that 2007 release.

While “Midnight” moved over 600,000 first week units, “Suns” is looking at about 250-260,000 according to forecasts based on one-day extensions from Hits Daily Double.

Closely behind will be Trey Songz’ “Passion, Pain and Pleasure,” which is currently eyeing a debut total of 220-230,000. Songz’ sales performance is trending upward from his previous release, undoubtedly a result of the additional television publicity he has received as of late.

Jamey Johnson’s “The Guitar Song” looks good for 60-65,000, outpacing Weezer’s “Hurley” (45-50,000). While a terrible number by Weezer’s historical standards, good news exists in the fact that the drop-off from last year’s “Raditude” will be trivial; for an aging band that has released three albums in three years with limited crossover success in the singles department, holding steady sales-wise is a positive.

Robert Plant’s “Band of Joy” and Brandon Flowers’ “Flamingo” will both land within the 40-45,000 range.

Like i said before hate them all you want ONTD, but LP can still sell records even if this one is not that great or even good.

The hunky Hollywood star is keeping up with life back home in Britain with almost obsessive viewings of popular motoring show, which recently featured Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as guests.

“Rob watches them on his laptop,” a source said.

“All his pals back home watch it so he likes to keep in with them. He hopes to be a guest on the show although he’ll have to work on his driving skills. He’s well known for driving like an old woman!”

Recent reports claimed Rob is jealous of rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s relationship with his BFF Tom Sturridge.

“Kristen was always jealous of all the time Tom and Rob spent together,” a source said.

“But Rob intervened and helped make peace between the two — a move he may now regret.

“Kristen’s telling friends that she’s falling for Tom, as he has all of Rob’s great qualities without the baggage: Rob’s fear of commitment and the intense scrutiny their relationship brings.”

It's a SHAME the STIG is gone after the BBC outed him. SMH he was so awesome!

A Richard Ayoade Post

TORONTO — "It was like a really long heart attack." That's how British director Richard Ayoade described what it was like to watch his film "Submarine" alongside an audience for the first time, at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Did it help that the audience cheered his movie? Did Ayoade's heart ease back to its regular pace, and did he feel relief?

"I don't necessarily know that there's a reaction that would dissipate all of the tension. I don't know what kind of reaction would do that," he says.

I tell him the audience laughed in the right spots; that's always a good sign.

"They did laugh," he says. But then Ayoade ponders future screenings and future audience reactions that -- he imagines -- may not be so positive. It could be an unending series of heart attacks.

He says the TIFF premier "could be a complete anomaly. It could be that everyone from here on despises it. It's very hard to know."

Ayoade's humour is self-effacing and dry like burnt charcoal. He's immune to compliments. When Ben Stiller, the film's executive director, stood on stage with Ayoade at the "Submarine" premiere and praised him, Ayoade acted like a victim of mistaken identity.

(This may also sum up his personality: As I interview him in a hotel restaurant, he delicately eats a cheeseburger with a knife and fork. He does this in the most unobtrusive way possible. After a short time, it's easy to forget the burger is even on the table. His manners are impeccable.)

Grinch to Host 'Social!' On Wealth TV

If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey, you know that even the classiest events have the tendency to end in table-flipping or hair-pulling. Former cast member Danielle Staub’s newest reality show, however, will assure people that not all events in the Garden State end in drama. Staub has begun filming Social!, a new reality show set to air on Wealth TV, available to HDTV customers. The network confirmed Staub’s role in the show: “It’s a phenomenal show and people are excited to have Danielle,” said Cary Sandoval, creator and executive producer.

Sandoval describes the show as a re-imagined Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, with Staub tackling the role of Robin Leach by traveling to the homes of fabulous friends and attending events ranging from birthday parties to black tie affairs. While her New Jersey home provides easy access to Manhattan and the Hamptons, Sandoval left the idea of traveling across the country, and even overseas, open.
“[We want to] incorporate the fact that she’s an international socialite,” he said.

Despite being portrayed as the villain (or victim, depending what side you’re on) during her two seasons on RHONJ, there will be no high school behavior or mean girls mentalities on this new show. “Danielle is an absolute sweetheart. They’re going to see the show as a polar opposite to what she was portraying on Real Housewives,” Sandoval said. In addition to highlighting general fabulousness and invoking real estate envy, Social! hopes to “raise awareness [for various charities] and give back to the community.”

Social! is the first confirmed television project for Staub since her departure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Along with her budding music career, she says she’s shopping plans for a second reality show, but no networks or details have been announced at this time.

Will you be watching Danielle on her newest reality TV show? Is this the right move for her? Is it inevitable that all Housewives women will remain in the public eye even after their tenure with Bravo ends? And if that’s so, is there any Housewives lady whose impending reality show ubiquity won’t make you want to flee the country? (Fingers crossed for Beverly Hills).

Prince Harry turns 26 today!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Happy Birthday, Harry!

Today, Prince Harry is turning 26 and he's working. He began an eight-month training course in July to become an Apache attack helicopter pilot in Britain's Army Air Corps. A spokeswoman in Harry's office at St. James' Palace told AP today the prince would be continuing his training on his birthday. No day off.

Prince Harry was spotted on Sunday at the Help for Heroes concert, a charity event to support members of Britain's armed forces, at Twickenham Stadium in London.

According to Vanity Fair, the prince gave up his royal box to 25 wounded troops and their families so they could enjoy entertainers such as Robbie Williams. The prince even refused complimentary tickets, insisting he purchase his own, like everyone else.

Princess Letizia of Spain turns 38 today!

She was joined by big sister Infanta Leonor and her parents, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia. Prince Felipe color-coordinated in a gray suit and the little ladies wore their school uniforms. Take a look.

Worlds SMALLEST Bitch (besides Snooki)

Central Park is no stranger to hosting junked out meth faces with bulging "wheresmynextfixwheresmynextfix" eyes, greasy hair and thirstay lips, so it warmly welcomed Boo Boo the Chihuahua into its field this afternoon.

According to Guinness Book of World Records, Boo Boo is the world's smallest dog! Boo Boo is 4 inches tall, 6.5 inches long and weighs 1.5 pounds. This isn't official, but I'm sure Boo Boo is also the world's smallest crackhead! I mean, why is she giving me a look like she'll follow me all the way home unless I give her a dollar or my watch. And I totally would. I bet Boo Boo smokes the tiniest crack rock on the tiniest doll spoon. That's kind of adorable, actually.

NO! Boo Boo is not the Pete Doherty of toy Chihuahuas. Boo Boo is just scared as hell. If a baby butterfly could take you in a street fight and a human fart could send you flying into the next dimension, you too would be frightened as all fuck. But Boo Boo really has no reason to be terrified, though. The wings on her gorgeous owner's hair will protect her now and for all time.

The fierce Kelly Osbourne and Kanye West go to the Jeremy Scott show!

Sitting front row at the Jeremy Scott Spring 2011 fashion show, Kanye West shared a few laughs with an unexpected friend, Kelly Osbourne. Rocing a Jeremy Soctt gemstone encrusted corset dress, Kelly sipped a sugar free red bull, while Kanye sported his infamous dark shades.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week's Spring 2011 season kicked off on September 8, 2010. This year marks the weeklong event's debut at Lincoln Center—until now, the tents at Bryant Park have hosted more than 200,000 visitors twice yearly since 1994.

Neil Gaiman Gets Animated on Arthur

Geek parents of Arthur-watchers, set your DVRs for “Squee!,” because Neil Gaiman’s visit to Elwood City is set for October 11.

Yes, that Neil Gaiman. The creator of Coraline, author of The Graveyard Bookwhich added The Carnegie Medal to its list of awards this summer and new contributor to Doctor Who will make a guest appearance as himself on the animated PBS series.

From the press release: “This season, we’re hoping to empower our young viewers to go after their goals and dreams. Whether that means becoming a wheelchair basketball champion, or expressing yourself through writing, drawing, and making movies, Arthur and his friends show kids that determination and hard work really pay off,” said Executive Producer Jacqui Deegan. “Both Lydia and Neil serve as great role models, and we’re excited to have them to reinforce these important lessons for our audiences.”

Gaiman’s role comes in an episode called “Falafelosophy,” inspiring one of the kids who’s trying her hand at writing and illustrating a graphic novel. It’s paired with what sounds like a suitable companion story, “Tales of the Grotesquely Grim Bunny,” about changes on the shelves at the local comic shop.

In the realm of geeky kids’ TV crossovers, this may even rival R2-D2 and C-3PO landing on Sesame Street.

Catfish - Trailer

In late 2007, filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost sensed a story unfolding as they began to film the life of Ariel's brother, Nev. They had no idea that their project would lead to the most exhilarating and unsettling months of their lives. A reality thriller that is a shocking product of our times, Catfish is a riveting story of love, deception and grace within a labyrinth of online intrigue.

A sequel to some movie starring GQMF's (hot men post)

Coming Soon has reported that the upcoming sequel for "Clash of the Titans" will have most of the original actors coming back to reprise their roles.

Producer Basil Iwanyk stated "Sam [Worthington] is back, Gemma Arterton, Ralph [Fiennes] and Liam [Neeson] are back, but we have a whole new group of people. I think we learned a lot from the tone of the first one, whether or not it got too serious or got too jokey, and it's a really cool group of guys and three new big roles that I think will be movie stars, and we have high expectations for it".

Iwanyk also stated that they will begin shooting the film in February in the UK.

Let's not forget that it has this beautiful man as well

Bonnie from Hollywood Life Rips Dr. Jenny McCarthy A New Asshole; I Laugh

Bonnie Says: Jenny McCarthy — Childhood Vaccines DO NOT Cause Autism! It’s Time for You to Renounce Your Claim. Children’s Lives Are at Stake!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
A new study about to be published in the October issue of Pediatrics Magazine is the 19th piece of highly regarded medical research to refute Jenny’s claims that vaccines cause autism.

It’s time for the blonde bombshell and mom of autistic son Evan, 8, to immediately end her campaign against vaccines that save children’s lives.

This new study followed more than 1,000 children and found NO correlation. This is the 19th highly regarded medical study to now conclude that childhood vaccines DO NOT cause autism.

You know what? Children have already needlessly died from outbreaks of preventable diseases.
This year at least five children have died in California from whooping cough after an outbreak due to low vaccination rates.

A measles outbreak in Ireland took the lives of two children after vaccination rates fell to 88 percent of the population. Jenny McCarthy- do you really want the needless deaths of these children and possibly more, on your shoulders?

You and parents like you, need to wake up and smell the truth- vaccines were created for a reason- to save children’s lives. Before the advent of these “miracle” disease preventables, children DIED of polio, diptheria, mumps, whooping cough, measles, and chicken pox. All the time!

Talk to your parents and grandparents. They will tell you about an era not that long ago when their own parents were terrified that they would be infected with deadly diptheria or polio. My mom remembered being kept at home as a child when there were outbreaks of polio. She had friends who were crippled or died from the disease.

Today parents have the luxury of considering the ridiculous notion of NOT vaccinating their children. They have this luxury because we don’t live in a world where there are feared, regular contagious disease epidemics.

People like Jenny McCarthy and other anti-vaccine advocates count on the fact that having most other children in this country vaccinated ,will protect their own children. The problem is that when vaccination rates fall below 95 percent, the diseases can come roaring back. They haven’t been obliterated from nature – they still exist!

The Fighter finally gets trailer & teaser poster

Paramount has just debuted the official trailer for David O. Russell's The Fighter, their upcoming boxing drama starring an incredibly buff Mark Wahlberg as 'Irish' Mickey Ward, Christian Bale as his brother Dickie Eklund, and a supporting casting including a sultry Amy Adams. Another boxing movie? Yes, but this looks fantastic, I mean it. I love the energy, I love the build-up, this is one of those trailers that makes you want to stand up and cheer. I've heard some great things about this movie already, but it looks truly Oscar caliber. I think Bale, especially, and Wahlberg and even Adams have a shot at some nominations. Collapse )

Ngl, based on this trailer, Bale will own this movie. Can't wait to see it!

8 "Let Me In" Clips

Easily the best horror film of the year is Let Me In, Hammer Films' triumphant return alongside Overture and director Matt Reeves. Those of you who know the story (or have seen the original) might want to get an early look by watching one of the following eight clips, otherwise I recommend going into the vampire thriller completely blind. Check out the videos below and then read our rave review here. Based on the bestselling Swedish novel, "Lat den Ratte Komma In," by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist, Let Me In is a contemporary vampire tale about a young boy who befriends a girl new to his neighborhood.

5 Lessons Learned from High School Movies

"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all." - Andrew Clark (Emilio Estevez)

High school tends to force people to fit into a mold. Some kids are branded "cool," most are not. But underneath the labels, everyone has their own quirks. And it took being trapped together in Saturday detention for the brain, the athlete, the basket case, the princess, and the criminal of "The Breakfast Club" to see how much they had in common.
