Los Angeles-based promoter AEG confirmed Friday an early May report in the Free Press that the mop-topped 16-year-old would stop in Winnipeg in September as part of the western Canadian leg of his My World 2.0 Tour.

Presale and VIP ticket packages will be available from Ticketmaster as of Wednesday. The public on-sale date is June 11.

Inmate Charlie Sheen will be forced to live like a regular person, only better

Fighting off the perception that celebrities are often afforded special treatment in jail is always going to be a tough sell.
And Colorado's Pitkin County Jail isn't exactly doing itself any favors, as E! News has learned that Charlie Sheen's stay will be made all the more difficult by his needing to decide on a daily basis whether he would prefer a fresh fruit parfait or a chocolate raspberry ice cream bar for dessert.
Now that's what we call hard time. Here's what else the Two and Half Men star has to look forward to during his impending lockup:

Despite reports to the contrary, one thing Sheen won't likely be doing is enrolling in some sort of work-release program that would allow him to spend only night (not days) in jail.
"It is a far-fetched hypothetical situation," Aspen Police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro tells E! News of the days-free scenario.

"I read that report too, and it gave me a really good laugh. Until we know what happens in that disposition hearing, it is just a hypothetical."
And far-fetched though that exact scenario may be, some elements of it may hold true come Monday's plea-copping hearing.
"If there is some kind of agreement that is reached through the disposition here and if he is required to serve jail time, it would be up to the judge to determine the terms of his incarceration and whether or not he is allowed to have work release. It's a court ruling."

And should that ruling go down, a portion of the Aspen facility is in fact reserved for work release inmates, a program that a source close to the star tells E! News "is a definite possibility" for Sheen.

Is this the end of Brothers & Sisters?

The cast of Brothers & Sisters returns to work in mid-July, with a few jarring changes besides the absence of Rob Lowe, whose character was killed off in the season finale's tragic multi-car pile-up that also left Patricia Wettig's character, Holly, hanging on by a limb. (Calls to Patricia's reps inquiring about her fate have not been returned.) But the biggest question involves ABC's downsized order of 18 episodes — shorter than a series' typical 22-episode order. Are the Walkers about to have their final group hug? Series star Rachel Griffiths, who plays eldest daughter Sarah, isn't exactly sure herself, telling me, "In my negotiation, I asked, 'does 18 mean it's the last season?' I would love to know. I feel like this is the last season, but I don't know for sure."

The show's cinematographer, Cynthia Pusheck, seems more certain that the eighteenth hour will indeed be the final chapter. "I think it's been a nice run, and it will be good for us to know we can wrap up everyone's stories," she says, adding that the look of the show will also change — much to her disappointment. Ironically, Pushek was on hand at the event to accept The Kodak Vision Award for her work on the show, which will stop utilizing film when production resumes. "We're going to be switching to Digital as a cost-cutting measure. We hope to have the same show, but there will be some changes visually."

With the storyline jumping ahead into the future (as Desperate Housewives did two seasons ago), Rachel, who has signed on for 17 of the 18, says we should expect to see less Walker family meetings, requiring the whole cast's attendance. "There was a lot of pressure on the writers to use all the actors all the time, which used to piss us off," says Rachel. "Did they really need for me to be in one scene not speaking when I could have been in Australia or New York? A lot of times there were actors just hanging around twiddling their thumbs. So, I think what they have planned is going to work out pretty well."

And how does Rachel feel about the Walkers moving from their lost Ojai Foods into the water pumping business? "I kind of like it, because it's like 'Chinatown' — which to me is the fundamental L.A. story," Rachel says. "We can turn dark and corrupted. Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and Rachel can reenact the 'You're my mother; you're my sister/my mother episode."

Sally Field, not yet sure how many episodes she'll appear in, has an additional suggestion: "I hope it get real down and dirty and we bring Jack (Nicholson) in!" Regardless, it seems Sally is more than prepared to say goodbye. Come spring 2011, "we'll be real ready," she says emphatically. "We're tired!"

Sandra Bullock's Surprise Appearance at GUYS CHOICE AWARDS - Named "Entertainer of Year" by Troops

Sandra Bullock Makes Surprise Appearance for the 'Guys'

By Reagan Alexander and Scott Huver

Sunday June 06, 2010 07:45 AM EDT

In her first public appearance since the back-to-back news of her divorce and the adoption of her adorable baby son Louis, Sandra Bullock returned to the spotlight Saturday night, making a memorable surprise appearance at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards.

There to accept the "Troops Choice" Award for Entertainer of the Year, from presenter Robert Downey, Jr. – the honor was bestowed by members of the military – the Blind Side Oscar winner, looking stunning in form-fitting black, leather mini-dress, received a standing ovation from the audience inside the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.

"Let's be honest here, just for a moment. We're all going to be honest, right?" Bullock, 45, told the crowd. "Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personal life?!"

Once the laughter subsided, she added, "No, it's okay. Because I would do it over again if it was to entertain our troops , and our extraordinary troops deserve something much more than some actress in a tight dress talking herself."

She also told them, "I would sing, but you've seen enough pain in your lifetime. I would dance – I'm a pretty good dancer, but as I mentioned, the dress is pretty tight."

America's Sweetheart

Members of the military stationed throughout the world were the only ones permitted to vote in the "Troops Choice" category, and did so via the Spike Web site. The crowd at the ceremony Saturday was made up of members of the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as such entertainment stars as Robert DeNiro, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Jon Hamm and others.

Bullock's appearance was kept secret from even the show's staff and participants, PEOPLE was told. U.S. Army 1st Sergeant Nicholas McClain, who shared the stage with Bullock, told PEOPLE afterward, "Originally we were told she wasn’t going to be here at all, and somebody would be accepting on her behalf. So it was a great surprise to see her coming out on the stage."

The award went to Bullock, McClain, said, "Just because a lot of the movies that she does – they provide different venues for everybody to see us. And we know that she has a lot of great support for the troops. And she’s America’s Sweetheart, regardless of anything that’s been going on in her past."

As for sharing a stage with the Oscar winner, he said, "It was a great honor. She’s a beautiful woman and a great supporter of the military."

The Guys Awards show will air June 20 on Spike TV.

Sunday night, Bullock is also scheduled to appear at the MTV Movie Awards, where she is to receive the Generation Award.

The Linda McCartney Picture show, by Paul the movie Macca

(I did not write that awful headline, btw.)

Sir Paul McCartney is directing a film based on photographs his late wife Linda took of The Beatles at the height of their fame.

The intimate photofilm will be created using previously unseen pictures of the group, taken between 1967 and 1970, the year they split. The film will be a loving tribute to the band Sir Paul founded and to US-born Linda, who died of breast cancer in 1998.

The singer, 67, originally began the project in the early nineties but abandoned it after Linda’s death made it too difficult to carry on.

Now, more than a decade later and after his bitter divorce battle with Heather Mills, the star has decided to revive it. The portrait will document the recording of classic hits such as "Hey Jude", "Let It Be" and "The Long and Winding Road" at a time when other photographers were not allowed access to the group. The soundtrack could even include unreleased Beatles tracks, such as the long-awaited "Carnival of Light" and a secret jamming session recorded at the London Roundhouse in 1968.

The method behind the film involves laying out photographs and re-shooting them using a movie camera. The frames are then speeded up so they run together, much like a child’s flip-book. Sir Paul is also said to be working on a book of Linda’s pictures with the couple’s daughters, Stella and Mary, which will be published later this year. A spokesman for Sir Paul said he was not aware of the singer revisiting the photofilm project.

Drogba has surgery, hopes of playing
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast -- Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has hope of playing in the World Cup after having surgery on his broken right arm in a Swiss hospital Saturday.

The Ivory Coast football federation (FIF) said in a statement the operation at the Lindenhof Hospital in Berne was a success and Swiss doctors and the team's medical staff are confident that the Chelsea forward will make a "speedy recovery."

The federation did not give further details about the time required for Drogba's recovery. Ivory Coast's first game is June 15 against Portugal.
"The FIF thank the sporting world and all those in the Ivory Coast, in Africa and throughout the world who have shown their support to Didier Drogba and the Ivory Coast," read a statement on the FIF website.

"He's not at all out of the World Cup. He can still play. We don't know if he will be able to play the first game -- that depends on the verdict of the medical team. But he's definitely not out [of the tournament].''

Drogba broke his arm in an exhibition match against Japan on Friday.

Reality Execs: STDs Are A Constant Concern

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Reality shows such as "Celebrity Rehab" and "Jersey Shore" are so worried about sexually transmitted diseases, they pass out medication "like M&Ms" to cast members, say the shows' producers.
In a round-table discussion of reality show execs published yesterday in The Hollywood Reporter, SallyAnn Salsano, creator of "Jersey Shore," says STDs are a constant concern.
"I do a full medical [for cast members] but I also do a lot of STD stuff," she says.
"The network [VH1] requires me to do stuff with my patients that has no relevance to anything," Dr. Drew Pinsky, the host of "Celebrity Rehab," says.
"Like everyone on the set has to take [herpes medication] Valtrex," he said.
"We hand it out like M&Ms!" Salsano said. " 'Hey kids, it's time for Valtrex!' It's like a herpes nest. They're all in there mixing it up."

Julia Roberts to Appear on 23 Covers of ELLE's Important September Issue(s)

Julia Roberts planning full-throttle press campaign

Julia Roberts' press campaign for her upcoming chick-flick, Sony's "Eat Pray Love," will be aggressive.
We hear she'll be shooting three different covers with three different photographers for the September issue of Elle. Roberts will also grace the cover of more than 20 international editions of the magazine.

The movie, out in mid-August, just secured a "PG-13" rating after producers convinced the MPAA that its "brief strong language, some sexual references and male rear nudity" didn't warrant the "R" rating it had initially been given.

3 Items of a Blind Nature

1. We’re takin’ a slight breather from the hardc*re debauched Blind Vice annals of closeted sexuality, illegal drugs and married swingers.

Today’s secret celeb tale is all about how pitiful a famous drunk’s life can be. And no, we’re not just talkin’ Lindsay Lohan and her new SCRAM existence. Nope, enter mega-rich, mega-talented (and still working, too!) Buddy Rib-Toast, a dude who knows his way around blockbusters as well as he does babes.

And Buddy’s movie pals are getting super concerned about the good-looking dude:

As the Budster has a bad habit of getting smashed out of his gourd and bolting through hotel rooms, sets, trailers and myriad on-location places in his birthday suit! (Or, if Bud’s not quite as intoxicated as he usually gets, just in his underwear.) And even though most of the ladies—at least, the ones who aren’t sleeping with him—don’t seem to mind this up-close display of Buddy’s privates on parade, a lotta Buddy’s guy pals are getting seriously worried.

“He has a major drinking problem,” said one of Buddy’s close colleagues, a friend who’s working with Buddy on his latest film, Return to Nation Ruination (which is a sequel to the monster hit, Nation Ruination, the flick that really put BRT on the map). “And it’s constantly getting covered up by his publicists who keep threatening to pull him from future shows if any of the TV outlets mention it.”

Jeez, never heard of that one. A publicist threatening banishment unless a news organization agrees to hush up a star’s seedy behavior? Shocking!

“But what’s really weird,” adds the Rib-Toast pal, “is not only that he’s always naked, but that nobody’s come out with this yet. It’s gotta be just a matter of time.”

Actually, it’s already happened: Rib-Toast got into a little nasty snafu, thanks to his inebriated head, when he and a friend’s girlfriend he was schtupping got caught in the act. But no worries! Miss Publicist made it all go away!

Also, if the naked stuff come out, Buddy knows full well his stellar abs will make more news than the fact that he’s constantly loaded on his projects.

Zach Levi Talks Renewal, Chuck Fans, Kissing Yvonne, etc.

season three – which kicks off tonight (Mon 31 May) in the UK at 9pm on Virgin One – was a game-changing time for the show. Chuck now has the Intersect 2.0 in his head, wants to be a spy more than ever before and “knows kung fu”. It’s a rollercoaster ride for the next 19 episodes and a ride you need board from the very beginning.

As the show’s star, Zachary Levi, knows all too well, the show has been near to death nearly as often as his character has. But in a historic moment for TV, Chuck has now become a show saved by a fan support not once but twice. Indeed it’s almost unheard of that a show that was brought back thanks to a fan campaign lasts more than one extra season, but Chuck has managed it, and deservedly so. It’s a show that developing and improving in unexpected an exciting ways.
SFX had the  chance to chat exclusively to Levi, and he was incredibly candid about the problems the show faces and the opportunities it can embrace.

SFX: You must be please that Chuck has been confirmed for a fourth season
“Oh sure, I can’t thank the fans enough. Everyone was saying it would happen but you never can tell with the networks. In the time I’ve been in this industry, which is 10 years, I’ve seen crazy things happen. I’ve seen shows picked up and immediately cancelled after they’ve been picked up. Networks can be very fickle.”

Do you think the fans campaiging actually had an affect, or is it all down to numbers of people watching?
“I’ll tell you what, we’ve got some of the best fans in the world. I mean, our renewal the last two seasons just goes to show you. It’s amazing – when people rally behind something and they wanna fight for something, they go after it and they fight for it. Our fans definitely did. Between buying sandwiches and writing in and all that jazz it really did turn into quite a scenario. Something that you as an actor can only dream about: having a great job but on top of that having a job that people respond to so vehemently. They will fight for you. This year, they did flash-mobs. I don’t even know what a flash-mob is, but it sounds awesome. And they dressed up like us doing it! That’s just crazy.”

Adrien Brody: "Splice role was complex"

Adrien Brody has said that he found his latest film role “interesting” and complex”.

The actor revealed that he initially decided to appear in the sci-fi horror Splice because of the unusual nature of the script.

Speaking to Teen Hollywood, he said: "The role is really interesting, Clive deals with a lot of complex issues and dilemmas, but I think it just was one of the most strange and unique scripts that I’ve read ever.

"Things went wrong on high levels,(UH YEA I'D SAY SO) and mistakes were made (LOL, UNDERSTATEMENT) and [I liked] the repercussions of those mistakes and how they affected the characters and their relationship and the rest of the world."

As for the style of the film, he added: "I like science fiction very much, I like to find characters and the subject matter that is complex, and so to find that within that genre is very exciting.

“It’s fun, it’s fun to do something that has an element of it that’s scary, on a real level, I think, because the advancements in technology and scientific research in today’s world are not that far off, and it has an element of truth to it. It’s a family movie in a weird way."

ONTD what did you think of Splice? i THINK i liked it.

The Pixies and Israel are fucking done professionally

Pixies Cancel Israel Concert After Gaza Raid

The U.S. rock band Pixies has canceled a concert in Tel Aviv this week in the wake of Israel's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.

The group's Tel Aviv promoter, Shuki Weiss, relayed a statement from the band announcing the cancellation "with great regret."

The band did not specify why it was pulling out of the gig, but organizers say the decision was related to last week's naval raid, which killed nine pro-Palestinian activists.

Various artists have recently come under heavy pressure from activists to boycott Israel because of its treatment of the Palestinians. Elvis Costello recently canceled a planned concert to protest Israeli policies.

Others, such as Elton John and Rod Stewart, are still planning to play Israel this summer.

Hit-hungry Hollywood gambles on litany of 'romaction' flicks

In "Killers," which opened on Friday, Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher play newlyweds on the run from hired assassins, their wedded bliss punctuated by car chases, stunts with trucks and sundry shootouts. Which sounds an awful lot like "The Bounty Hunter," in which Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston played ex-spouses dodging bullets and Tasers and bickering their way back to true love. Which calls to mind "Date Night," featuring Tina Fey and Steve Carell as a couple caroming through Manhattan on a super-charged car chase while avoiding a couple of armed hooligans.

And coming soon: "Knight and Day," starring Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, a Ducati motorcycle, several cars and even more guns.
When did romantic comedies go ballistic?  Or was it the action movies that went soft?

Uncle Phil is NOT DEAD, Y'all!

The synopsis is that when any celebrity is trending on Twitter he must be dead. James Avery (AKA Uncle Phil) is not dead. He is alive and kicking. Uncle Phil played the character of Will Smith's uncle on the hit sitcom "Fresh Prince of Bel Air."

The latest news of trending topic 'James Avery' is that he will be in the new "Transformers 3" movie with Rosie Huntington Whitley. Avery has performed in many other shows including cartoons such as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Although there was an 'Uncle Phil' who died, it was in 2007. Scottish futbol player, 35-year-old Phil O'Donnell, died after suffering a suspected seizure during his team's 5-3 win over Dundee United.

James Avery will do the voice of Silverbolt in "Transformers 3." Silverbolt has been around since the Generation One days with an alt mode of a Concord SST jet liner and leader of the Aerialbots that formed Superion. The name was used again for Beast Wars as a noble knight character that was a fusion of an eagle and wolf.

"Transformers 3" will open July 2011. It will star Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington Whitley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, James Avery, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, and Ken Jeong.

I just about shit a brick when I saw this on Twitter as a trending topic, so I'm glad to read that it's not true.

It’s different than just watching the same human faces yak on the screen.” "I felt like I didn't know what my character was or what I was doing without being attached to this dog," he laughed. "A family movie doesn’t mean that it has to be played at a certain level."

Robert De Niro and Yvonne Strahovski Cast in 'The Killer Elite'

We've already heard that Clive Owen would be facing off against Jason Statham for the indie action-thriller The Killer Elite and that Dominic Purcell would be joining the cast in some capacity. Well now Australia's Herald Sun reports (and Moviehole confirms) that Robert De Niro and the absolutely gorgeous Yvonne Strahovski ("Chuck") have also joined the cast of the film which is already shooting down in Melbourne, Australia. The story follows a group of former British special forces being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham's character, a former Navy Seal. Some slight spoilers follow in the character description below.

De Niro is playing Hunter, the mentor and best friend of Statham's character Danny. Apparently Hunter has been kidnapped by an Arab sheik who blackmails Danny into killing "Harris" (played by Lachy Hulme) in order to secure Hunter's release. No word on what character Strahovski will be playing (though surely she'll have to kick some asses and look good while doing it), but Ben Mendelsohn (Knowing), Aden Young ("The Starter Wife") and Firass Dirani have also joined the cast. The Killer Elite is actually based on a novel called The Feather Men by Ranulph Fiennes, first published in 1991 and will mark the feature film debut of Irish director Gary McKendry. We'll be keeping our eye on this project. Anyone like the sound of this so far?

Hi, my name is ecctv. I have been watching this Award show annually for years now, and I just wanted to say that I firmly believe it is the worst award show out there. It used to be okay, but now it is a horrible joke. Not even a joke, because jokes are funny. (No offense to Aziz, it's a crap job.) The most important thing is promoting upcoming movies and dropping the name of advertisers.
This award show had the chance to acknowledge comedy movies that the every other award show ignores, but I understand how much more important it is to cater to the tween generation and get the ratings. I didn't really expect you, MTV, to stand up for anything, I mean your top rated show is Jersey shore, but you could have been different.
MTV hasn't really been anything unique, remarkable or special in a long time, but I keep tuning in hoping something will have changed. I guess I will have to wait another year.

LOL: The Reoccurring Prop Newspaper

If you watch enough television shows and movies, then you might even start to notice that a bunch of the same props are used over and over again. I first noticed this with a magazine prop in various television shows including Married With Children, which featured a gum advertisement on the back cover. Someone on Reddit recently put together a compilation of photos from various television shows, commercials and movies, showing how one newspaper prop gets around and is reused, and reused again.

I don’t know the story behind this prop newspaper, but I assume it was created as a royalty free prop for television shows. Somewhere along the line, the prop became a reoccurring gag between propmasters. Something like how sound designers reuse the Wilhem Scream in every movie. Check out some examples after the jump.

A look at the writing room of 'Parks and Recreation'

Michael Schur stands on a balancing board, shifting his 6-foot frame from side to side as he agonizes over the best way to kill a "Parks and Recreation" romance.

Dressed in Converse sneakers, jeans and a dark blue fleece jacket, the 34-year-old looks more like a laid-back dad on his way to a kids' soccer game than the executive producer of one-quarter of NBC's Thursday night comedy block.

It's up to him and the half-dozen other writers in this room to solve their story problem. And they're stuck.

As he drapes himself across a couch in this windowless room on the CBS Radford lot in Studio City, Calif., gazing up at the ceiling, Schur's fellow writers stare at him in silence from their seated perches at a long wooden table. A "Rock Band" drum set is in one corner of the room, and half-eaten food lies scattered across the table, which is also strewn with white and purple note cards.

It's 12:30 p.m. and Schur and his friends have already spent three hours figuring what the hell to write on those cards.

The white ones are usually Leslie Knope's (Amy Poehler's) story lines. If it's an episode that involves a lot of intermingling, other characters' stories will be on different colored cards. Today, that color is purple and it belongs to an as-yet-named mystery couple whose TV romance will be short-lived.
