Oprah’s bitch is joining the new season of “Glee”—and not just as a guest but as a regular.
Charice to join American TV series `Glee’

In a TV interview at her Glorietta show on May 23, Pempengco herself hinted at "a surprise" that will surely make her fans happy. "Basta in na in po siya ngayon," she said.
The quote set off the Internet abuzz with rumors, which zeroed in on the possibility of Pempengco appearing on "Glee" because the show's theme and the cast's age group fits her.
"Yes, it's true, Charice will soon join "Glee," her Philippine manager, Grace Mendoza, confirmed to the Inquirer. "And not just as a guest, but as part of the cast in a new season."
The popular TV show won the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy.
Style Network has greenlighted a docuseries about obesity with the attention-getting title “Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back.”
The series revolves around four extremely overweight teens and one preteen whose parents bring them to Wellspring Academy, a weight-loss boarding school in North Caro¬lina.
The series, produced by Daisybeck Prods. in association with Passion Distribution, is inspired by a documentary that aired on the network last year about an overweight British teen who went to Wellspring.
“ ‘Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back’ captures the epic struggle of a courageous group of obese teens trying to lose weight,” Style Network president Salaam Coleman Smith said. “Their life-changing mental and physical trans¬formation is must-see tele¬vision that puts a real face on the obesity epidemic threatening our young people.”
“Too Fat” will premiere in August.
The show was actually quite enjoyable and there was a lot of audience participation. Most of the numbers are performed the same as they were on the show. The biggest surprise in this being, "Don't Rain On My Parade" where Lea Michelle worked her way through the audience singing. Once she reached the stage the rest of the cast enters down the aisles and joins her. Not expecting this, and being kind of freaked out by tall people, it was a bit unnerving to turn my head to the side and see that out of nowhere Cory Monteith was now standing next to me. Cool, but unnerving as he truly is Frankenteen.
Dancers dressed as Cheerios set the mood for the show's opening by walking through the audience handing out official McKinley High Barf Bags, courtesy of Sue Sylvester of course, who informs you that what you're about to watch will be nauseating.

Mods: I understand if this gets rejected. However, I know there are quite a few Gleeks here on ONTD and while there have been a few posts about them performing "Bad Romance", there hasn't really been much about the rest of the tour. Considering they're only playing four cities, I thought people might be interested in what the set list looked like.

Florence and the Machine was nominated for best album for "Lungs," breakthrough act, best live act and song of the year with "You've Got the Love."

Space rock band Hawkwind will be honored with the 2010 Mojo Maverick Award.
"Despite the fact that they have rarely flirted with the mainstream, their music and their attitude has inspired so many different areas of modern music, it's incredible," said Phil Alexander, Mojo Magazine's editor-in-chief.

This weekend "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," Jake Gyllenhaal's sword-and-sandal epic based on the popular video game, hits the big screen. Later this summer, another hotly anticipated blockbuster, "The Last Airbender," adapted from the hugely successful Nickelodeon cartoon series, is slated to open. Both movies have a strong fan base, feature jaw-dropping special effects along side good old-fashioned fight scenes, and both movies cast white actors for roles originally envisioned for people of color. And some are crying foul, calling casting decisions "insulting."

"There was never much reason for Jane Lynch and I to be in the same scene at the same time until the episode where Sue divides the kids up into groups of minorities and nonminorities.
I was running through a song with Mathew Morrison, and Jane looked at me kind of funny.

The singer filed papers yesterday which cited the "unreasonable behaviour" of estranged husband Ashley as the reason for their break-up, The Sun claims.
It is understood that the pair are likely to be granted a "quickie" divorce which will be finalised before footballer Ashley plays at the World Cup next month. Cheryl is not thought to be asking for a financial settlement and is expected to let Ashley keep their £6 million Surrey home.
A source said: "Cheryl made a swift decision to put England's World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalised before England's first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12. She knows how vital it is for Ashley to have a completely clear head and concentrate entirely on his football and performance, with no distractions or emotional pulls.
"She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money. Cheryl will not take one penny of Ashley's money."
The papers filed yesterday reportedly state that Ashley "admitted" being unfaithful to Cheryl after his alleged sex texting was exposed in the press on February 15. Subsequent reports linked the Chelsea star to a number of other women.

Taken from an article from The New York Times:
“With our video [Born Free], we were really copying ‘Telephone,’ ” Maya says now, referring to Gaga’s recent video with Beyoncé. “Both our videos are road movies. We kill people, and they kill people. They start out in a prison, and we start out in a squat, hunting people down.” Maya zipped her lips again. “I can’t talk about Gaga anymore,” she said. “All I’ll say is, it’s upsetting when babies say ga-ga now. It used to be innocent. Now, they’re calling her name.”
Maya feels that Gaga is not original, that she mostly borrows from the Abba playbook, and she gets annoyed when Gaga is compared to Madonna. “You can’t really say that Gaga is culturally a change,” Maya said. “Madonna was truly unique. Madonna is the one. She did amazing songs. She had an amazing sense of style, without a stylist. And she was flawed, and sometimes she admitted it. I’ll fight the fight for Madonna. I think she should send me some chocolates or something to thank me.”
ETA: Maya didn't say the bit about popstars needing to be pretty (seemingly a snide remark towards Gaga in context), it was actually the director of Born Free. Honest mistake~ when I was editing it into one quote, sorry.

Marvel's ultimate clash, The Avengers, has been getting a lot of buzz lately, regarding the additionally cast members, other than Robert Downey as Tony Stark, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. News recently broke that actor Kevin Pennington may be tackling the role of Captain Marvel, but has yet to be confirmed.
Now an old casting rumor has rise yet again, coming from Aint It Cool News (Harry Knowles). His possibly solid source says that Jeremy Renner has gone from the Bomb Squad in Iraq to possibly the AVENGERS as the character of HAWKEYE.
Jeremy Renner have previously stated he and The Avengers writer, Zak Penn, had discussed the potential role of Hawkeye for Avengers, but immediately followed that it was just talk, and nothing is official. Like Harry from AICN, take it with a grain of salt, for now.

When hard–working TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at "Daybreak" (the last–place national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts – let alone work with his new co–host, Colleen Peck (Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning "news." As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky's blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Wilson) begins to unravel – and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.
The start date for the final series of Big Brother on Channel 4 has been revealed.
The eleventh summer run's launch night will start on Wednesday, June 9 at 9pm. Davina McCall will return to host the main show, while George Lamb will be joined by Emma Willis for spinoff show Big Brother's Little Brother.
A full length funeral-themed trailer for the reality show featuring former housemates from the past 10 series was premiered on Monday, while a new wreath-style eye logo was unveiled last week.
McCall and the producers have promised in interviews that the show will "go out with a bang".
David Williams, commissioning editor for Big Brother at Channel 4, said last week: "Big Brother is essentially an incredible entertainment show and there are plans afoot to ensure that a carnival atmosphere of fun and enjoyment will be at the forefront for what we hope will be a lively final series."
Things are heating up in a case levied by Rihanna's former fitness trainer. Fighting back this week, Rihanna says she not only paid the trainer, who alleged that she went unpaid for months, but that the trainer stole over $26, 000!
As previously reported, Cindy Percival filed suit against the "Rockstar 101" star last year, claiming she was never paid $26,144 in travel expenses and fees for her services after helping Rihanna stay fit while traveling to Europe and back.
According to documents filed by Rihanna's legal team in L.A. County Superior Court this month, Percival ran off with $26, 244.63, part of which Rihanna fronted to her for services. Therefore, Percival should be paying Rihanna, not the other way around.
In the original lawsuit reviewed by TMZ, Percival claimed she was hired to perform "exclusive personal training services" for $1,500 per day, but was not paid for work between September and October. At the time of filing she also asked for $2,644.14 in travel expenses.
Jesse James saved the worst for last in his first interview since his marriage to Sandra Bullock fell apart, telling ABC's 'Nightline' that he was the victim of abuse as a child. "I was a terrorized kid," he said. The former reality star said he entered rehab earlier this year for sex addiction and anger management, but mostly needed to deal with his childhood, which he claims was filled with beatings at the hands of his father. He told ABC's Vicki Mabrey that memories of the alleged abuse influenced his self-destructive decisions.
"I grew up with a huge amount of shame and fear and abandonment on my shoulders from a very young age, and I think, you know, the way my mind rationalized [cheating], 'Well, you know, I might as well do whatever I can to like run her off cause she is going to find out what I am anyway and leave me anyway,'" James said.
He said all his cheating stemmed from his "emotional shortcomings," as ABC put it.
"The struggle within myself for the things that I did ... to damage marriage and my life and everything else, it's all me," James said. "I'm doing it because, you know, I've basically never felt good enough for anyone."
James said he went into rehab with a "bit of an ego," but after a few days, "I realized, 'Wow, I'm kind of more messed up than most of the people here.' It was like peeling an onion. Every day it was a new revelation about myself and the things I've been doing," he said. "I cried more in rehab in the last 30 days than I have in my whole life. No BS. That's the truth."
After talking with counselors about his memories of abuse, he began to realize its impact on him.
"Bike builder, 'Monster Garage' TV star, all that stuff is a huge smokescreen so that people won't see that I'm a scared, abused kid, a seven-year-old," James said. "He beat my ass pretty good a bunch of times ... I just remember, like, clinched teeth, strained-neck look on his face," James said. "My whole childhood, I never had a chance to be a kid. ... I was always scared."
James' father, Larry James, strongly denied the allegations of abuse in an e-mail to ABC.
James said he "knew it was horrible" to cheat on Bullock but continued to do so out of desire to derail his life because things were too good.
"It made me feel horrible," James said of the infidelities. "And I knew I would get caught eventually, and I think I wanted to get caught. I don't think, I know for a fact now what it was. It was me trying to self-sabotage my life."
He went on to say he doesn't believe he has a sex addiction in the sense that he was out trying to find any sexual partner. The infidelities, he said, were just one piece of his dysfunctional life.
"I think I do things to sabotage my life, including having extramarital affairs, texting, overworking myself, injuring myself, doing stunts and stupid things. I think I do a lot of things in my life that I shouldn't be doing that aren't conducive to being a perfect husband, you know, and the affairs are just one of them."

Over the past week, paparazzi took notice of the singer's baggier-than-usual clothing and tendency to carry a big bag over her belly. Which, if you look closely, probably isn't any rounder than usual.
Stefani is already mommy to two sons, Kingston, who will be 4 this weekend, and 21-month-old Zuma, with hubby Gavin Rossdale.

After Star broke the news, John Travolta and Kelly Preston confirmed to the world that they are welcoming "a new addition" to their family. Now Star can exclusively reveal that the couple are really expecting a pair of new babies — twin sons!
“They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby,” an insider tells Star. “Now that there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness!”
John and Kelly, who are already parents to 10-year-old daughter Ella, became more determined than ever to expand their family after their 16-year-old son, Jett, died from striking his head during a seizure in January 2009.
Kelly, 47, began in vitro fertilization treatments, says the insider, which increases the chances of conceiving twins. Due this fall, Kelly is already busy preparing for the twins. Adds the insider, "She’s having the time of her life looking at all the cute little outfits and toys online!”
I don't know whether or not to believe Star yet, but I KNEW IT! I called this last week.

Shoetinis, anyone? The folks at Landline TV are back with a new video, a version of Sex and the City 2 that’s both more honest, and more importantly, shorter. Like all of their videos, it’s pretty straightforward, but funny and well-executed. The only thing I would’ve liked to see more of, now that we know Sex and the City 2 is “blatantly anti-Muslim,” is a crowd of Muslim women holding up giant caricatures Carrie Bradshaw and hitting them with Manolo Blahniks.
Ben Kingsley told a story on The View this morning about an unpleasant dinner he had at the home of a Hollywood actor: “There are times when I wish I could have said or done something differently. [For example] The last time I was here, there was an old Hollywood actor who invited me back to his home. He was with his aging German girlfriend. I was instantly nervous around her. During the meal, she said ‘Are you Jewish?’. And I said ‘No as a matter of fact, I’m half Indian and half English.’ And she said ‘Oh my god, that’s even worse.’ [audience gasps] So, I did not drop my knife and fork and say ‘F* you’. I stayed in a state of rage throughout the dinner. Why? Because everything happens for a reason. And now here I am with you and [pointing at the camera] if you’re still around, you racist old witch…[gesturing to The View panel] these girls have now heard it, and you know who you are! You know who you are!” Blind Gossip

Rihanna has taken on the responsibility of planning Katy Perry’s bachelorette party. But she can save money on hiring strippers because her BFF would rather see her shed her clothes.
The “California Gurl” is set to wed actor Russell Brand in India later this year, but first Rihanna will throw her a girls’ night out. “I have to come up with something cool ’cause she’s getting married in India. I’m like, ‘Now what do I do to match that for a bachelorette party?’” RiRi asked Ryan Seacrest in April.
Perry has the answer. “I hope she’s the one stripping at my bachelorette [party] ’cause she’s hot,” she confessed to AMP Radio’s McCabe.
Rihanna’s boyfriend Matt Kemp surprised her at her 22nd birthday party by hiring a porn star midget to give her a lap dance. “[Rihanna] has a lot to live up to,” added Perry. Indeed.
When Brendan Fraser burst onto the scene with Encino Man, the movie world was forced to take notice. Here was a guy who did it for the art, not the paycheck; a place he solidified with roles in George of the Jungle, Dudley Do-Right, Monkeybone, and of course Furry Vengeance. This week he once again demonstrated the depth of his integrity by turning down a role in Journey to the Center of the Earth 2. His reason? They couldn’t make it with his chosen director, the guy doing Yogi Bear.
Fraser felt strongly about making the movie with Eric Brevig, who directed him in the original. Trouble is, Warner Bros wants the picture for fall, 2011 release and Brevig is up to his eyeballs on another film for the studio, Yogi Bear. Meanwhile, Warners brass is high on Brad Peyton because of Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, the Peyton-directed film which Warner Bros opens July 30.
New Line and Walden Media will move the picture right into pre-production, but they are preparing to redraw the film to make Josh Hutcherson the lead character. Fraser played Prof. Trevor Anderson in the original, and Hutcherson played his nephew, Sean.
It looks like a game of chicken between Fraser and New Line/Walden Media execs and there are risks on each side. Fraser is prepared to give up a fat sequel salary. New Line/Walden faces the prospect of making a pricey 3D film and opening it without a proven star in Hutcherson.
Oh what I would give to be in the same room while they were having that argument:
“I’m the star of this franchise, and I want the guy from Yogi Bear and Xena Warrior Princess!”
“That hack!? Are you high? Not a chance! You’ll work with a real professional! The guy from Cats & Dogs 2! And you’ll be grateful for the privilege!”
In any case, this will hopefully free up Fraser to finish his passion project, The Adventures of Spazzy McFarts.
The funny thing about living in New York City is that you can happen upon celebrities going about their daily lives at the drop of a dime. For example, the other week I was walking home from a movie when I passed by a Le Pain Quotidien and who should be in the window? Rachel Weisz! Naturally I played it cool.
Yea, that's a blatant lie. I pressed my nose to the glass like there were free puppies with diamond collars inside.

Yeah, at the end of the DWTS Season 10 finale a couple of mirror ball trophies were handed out. But whatever. Those things are worth about $10. Watching Kate Gosselin pretend she doesn't know why she's controversial — after plugging her new shows, asking for harder Paso Doble choreography, refusing to do that harder choreography, shuffling through the opening dance and swinging in the air to "I Will Survive"? That was priceless. Let's count down some of the funniest moments from the two-hour finale, including a "Force"-ful performance from The Cutest Old Man Ever.
Now that the dust has settled and the series finale of "Lost" is in the books, there is no shortage of discussion among both fans and critics on the Internet about what happened (and in many instances what didn't happen). Despite the rampant amount of speculation about how crazy the last episode was going to be, it ended up focusing more on the characters and their relationships than any of the wackadoo mythology about the origins of man and electro-magnetism. When you came right down to it, knowledge of the inner workings of the more granular sections of the "Lost" universe ended up being something of a hindrance, as anybody who was looking for answers was probably so hung up on the fact that little was resolved that they missed the fact that everybody generally got a happy ending (despite being dead).
Still, you would have had to have watched at least some of the series to really appreciate the finale, which is what makes Hayley Williams' analysis of the show so incredible. A few weeks ago, MTV News visited with Paramore right before their headlining set at the Bamboozle in East Rutherford, New Jersey. When asked if she could explain "Lost," Williams admitted that she had never seen the show before. Still, she was game to attempt to work through it. "It's about people on an island. They get off the island but they're still on it, and they go back on. And one day, they're going to be somewhere happy, whether it's on the island or not," she breathlessly explained while sitting on her tour bus. In the end, she wasn't especially far off, as everybody did manage to get to a place where they were happy, whether they stayed on the island or made their way off.
Check out the compilation of stars working through "Lost" below, including Stone Sour's Corey Taylor, Slash and Sean Foreman of 3OH!3 (who also accurately deducts that the island is the gateway to purgatory, which is kinda sorta correct as well). Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to get Williams to predict the next Powerball numbers.
Local reality TV mom was talking in Hollywood during her return to “Dancing With The Stars” and she says most people who watch her on TV don’t like her.
Gosselin said on a rehearsal video aired by ABC that most people who watch her on “Dancing” and on TLC just don’t like her.
“I would guess that 90 percent of my audience doesn’t like me. I’m so controversial,” Gosselin complained to dance partner Tony Dovolani.
Gosselin went on to complain about “Dancing” viewers on the footage shown by ABC.
“I could stand there in the middle of the floor and people would [still] judge me. It doesn’t matter if I did a Nicole [Scherzinger] or Evan [Lysacek] performance,” she said. “I would still get picked apart to pieces — so I might as well have fun with it.”
One theory about what the ratings for “Dancing” spiked when Kate was on the show was that many people watched to see her fail.
Gosselin and her children, without ex-husband Jon Gosselin, are back on TLC this June in “Kate Plus 8.”
TLC is gambling on Kate Gosselin for two shows this summer. --- Noooooooo!
Last Lost - The series finale of ABC's Lost netted a less-than-expected 13.6 million viewers, still its biggest audience since February 2008. Sunday's clip show managed 9.9 million and Jimmy Kimmel late-night special claimed 4.9 million. The episode named "The End" ranked as last week's top-rated scripted series among young adults but finished seventh among all viewers.

Hot on the heels of the Madonna episode, Glee paid tribute to Lady Gaga Tuesday, drawing praise from the often-imitated star.
“I love Glee,” the singer told Entertainment Weekly. “I went to a musical theatre school, and used to dream that someday the students would be singing my songs.”
Yesterday’s episode saw New Directions do just that, when the club’s female vocalists — and Kurt — donned some of Gaga’s most memorable looks to rock the auditorium with “Bad Romance.”
But it was Rachel’s duet with Shelby of “Poker Face” that stole the show — a shared final moment between the mother-daughter pair after Shelby came clean about being unprepared for full-time motherhood.
And what did Broadway vet Idina Menzel think of tackling the showstopper?
“I don’t channel Lady Gaga,” Menzel told MTV. “I’m just in awe of Lady Gaga.”

But the credit doesn't just go to Gaga: "With David and the Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am, we have them to thank," Rowland added.

Behind every ambitious teenage singer/actor, there's a stage parent who has helped them follow their dreams. Sometimes, that parent happens to be Courtney Love, and as you might expect, that results in some pretty serious shenanigans being pulled. A new book, titled 'Theater Geek,' documents author Mickey Rapkin's time spent at Stagedoor Manor theater camp -- where stars like Zack Braff and Mandy Moore have attended -- in 2006, and Rapkin claims Courtney used her famous attitude to help daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
The New York Post reports that in 'Geek,' Rapkin claims Love was unhappy with Frances' role in a musical production of 'Leader of the Pack.' Love told Rapkin: "She was in, like, some tertiary chorus line. It really p***ed me off." As anyone who has followed her career knows, a "p***ed off" Courtney Love is not something you want to face the wrath of.
Also getting under her skin was the fact that Frances was being teased while at Stagedoor Manor. To get back at the kids picking on her daughter, Love arranged for Bean's godmother -- none other than Drew Barrymore -- to call her at school. Not a big deal, you'd think? There's more to it.
"I asked her to have them say over the PA system, 'Francis, you have a phone call from Drew Barrymore,' so the kids would stop making fun of her," Love related. We love the catty, motherly side of Courtney!
This. Is. AWFUL!!!!!!! I guess 50 Cent is EXTREMELY serious about his acting career because the G-Unit general decided to shed 54 pounds (214 to 160) for his role in the new movie Things Fall Apart. The movie centers around a football player, played by Fif, who dies from Cancer.
The flick was inspired by a friend of 50’s who actually died from the disease. 50 is credited as the film’s writer as well.
Curious as to how Fif slimmed down so quick? The rapper committed to a three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks and a liquid diet.
But don’t worry, since production has wrapped for the film 50 is heading back to Buffville and is eating like a regular human since he’s on the road again!
One word: INSANE!
Thoughts on Fif’s movie look?

Mindy McCready, the country singer who battled drugs and legal woes but recently declared herself clean after a stint on "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew," was back home Tuesday from the hospital, according to her brother, after police responded to an overdose call at a Florida home.
The overdose report came at 10:38 a.m. at a North Fort Myers home, said the Lee County Sheriff's Office. The property is owned by McCready's mother, records showed.
Cape Coral Hospital spokeswoman Karen Krieger would not say why McCready was taken to the hospital.
"She is in good condition," Krieger said.
In an e-mail, McCready's publicist confirmed the singer was in the hospital, and said the diagnosis has not been confirmed.
"The family asks for your respect of their privacy and appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this time," wrote publicist Kat Atwood.
McCready, 34, gained stardom in 1996 with a No. 1 hit, "Guys Do It All The Time," and a double-platinum album, "Ten Thousand Angels."
She is well-known these days for a troubled life filled with domestic abuse, drug and DUI arrests and a suicide attempt.
Her brother, Josh McCready, called the reports a big misunderstanding.
"She is fine and back at home with my mother. It was by far over a huge exaggeration," he said in an e-mailed statement.

Tim Curry will guest star on CBS' 'Criminal Minds' season finale episode 'Our Darkest Hour.' As previously reported, Curry will play a serial killer in Los Angeles who preys on his victims in the dark, killing entire families except for one left alive to remember. Eric Close ("Without a Trace") and Robert Davi ("Profiler") will also guest star in the cliffhanger finale. 'Criminal Minds' airs on CBS Wednesdays at 9pm. The finale airs at 9pm, May 26.
Curry was nominated for three Tony Awards for his work in AMADEUS, MY FAVORITE YEAR and MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT. Curry played Frank 'N' Furter in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW on Broadway, he also reprised this role for the film version which has become a cult classic.

Oh and.... IT'S WEDNESDAY!!!!
Smiletone Wednesday GIF rules ONTD Wednesdays!!
With just hours until the Season 9 winner of "American Idol" is announced, we still don't know all the details about who will be performing in tonight's (May 26) finale.
Before we find out whether Lee DeWyze or Crystal Bowersox will get the title, we'll have the chance to revisit some past winners when Season 1's Kelly Clarkson takes the stage with the Season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino.
Their duet is particularly special because it's dedicated to our favorite cantankerous judge. Clarkson's Facebook page announces, "Don't miss Kelly performing tonight on American Idol! She and fellow winner Fantasia will be performing 'Together We Are One' as a farewell performance to Simon Cowell."
Cowell has said that Barrino's Season 3 performance of "Summertime" is his all-time favorite "Idol" moment.
Traditionally, the finalists perform with established artists - last season, Adam Lambert performed with Queen and Kris Allen performed with Keith Urban. This season, Christina Aguilera will perform, and rumor has it that Chicago may be one of the special guest acts.
Thanks to spicegalaxy for he heads up :)

Also, don't forget - Janet is performing on the American Idol finale tonight!

This was way interesting, as I know her only from SATC. But the question is, ONTD, how many of you have screensavers of your significant others on your phone/computer?
How bad is SATC 2? In addition to being "insipid," "condescending," and "blatantly anti-Muslim," it made reviewers experience delirious hallucinations about adding Eleanor Roosevelt as the fifth "girl" or killing them all off in a "heart-rending Death of Spock-type scene."
The film, which opens tomorrow (or tonight if you've got tickets to a midnight showing!), picks up two years after the last movie. Carrie's still married to Big, but she's stressing out because he likes to stay home and watch old movies, while she wants to go out. Miranda is struggling with a chauvinistic boss. Charlotte's troubles involve a braless nanny she fears Harry will cheat with and two little girls who ruin her vintage Dior. Samantha is fighting menopause with various pills and hormone creams — a horrible puns! It seems a large part of the movie is devoted to the ladies complaining that marriage, motherhood and menopause are a total drag. Plus, there's an all-expenses paid vacation to Abu Dhabi, that provides many opportunities for the "girls" to make culturally insensitive comments about women who wear burqas and quips like "Bedouin bath and beyond" and "Lawrence of my labia."
Most reviewers acknowledge that the SATC TV show was good, but say the new film is the epitome of all the arguments against the series. The ladies are self-absorbed and materialistic, and this time the heinously expensive clothes don't even look good. The jokes are dull and cliche, and overall, "this movie is like once-brilliant Champagne, carelessly left out overnight. And gone flat."

This week, Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox head to L.A.'s Nokia Theater for what is likely to be the most anti-climactic and least-watched "American Idol" finale ever, capping off a season that some (and by "some," I mean me) would argue was the worst season in "Idol" history.
However, despite the imminent departure of Simon Cowell and the overall lukewarm reception to Season 9, "Idol" will in fact be back for a 10th season in 2011, albeit with some programming changes. Auditions won't start up until this September (presumably so producers can search for a permanent Simon replacement); the Tuesday one-hour competitive shows will be extended to 90 minutes (presumably so the judges' critiques won't be frustratingly cut short); and the usually filler-filled Wednesday results shows will go back to being a cut-to-the-chase 30 minutes instead of an unnecessarily dragged-out hour.

Jack's Mannequin have announced that they'll be playing a benefit concert next month to benefit former Hot Rod Circuit drummer Dan Duggins, who recently suffered a stroke. A blog by Andrew McMahon on the band's MySpace page says, "Dan has been a dear friend to everyone in Jack's Mannequin as well as many of the bands we've played with over the years. Like many musicians, Dan was unable to afford health insurance, and as you can imagine the cost of his care and recovery will be a significant burden to him and his family. In response to this need, the band and I have decided to do a benifit concert for Dan in Richmond, VA this June. We would love to have you join us to raise some money and celebrate a really amazing guy who needs our help."

This week's In Touch reveals that Kristin Cavallari -- like other cast members -- has been pressured by Hills producers to elevate drama, especially when it comes to romance. Now, Lauren "Lo" Bosworth tells In Touch that she also felt compelled to include her formerly off-screen boyfriend on the hit reality show. “I like to keep my private life private, but I was really pushed to do it," she said of filming her relationship with longtime love, lacrosse player Scott Hochstadt, at Cosmopolitan's Third Annual Bikini Bash in Las Vegas on May 24. But, she added, "It's the last season, so I said okay."
In Touch had previously reported that the producers even wanted Lo to go so far as to make a sex tape -- which she refused -- so it comes as no surprise that she can't wait to return to a normal life, without MTV documenting her every move. “I’m really excited for the show to be over,” she admitted. Kristin announced to In Touch that she's planning to spill the series’ dirty secrets in a tell-all book -- and now, it seems Lo will follow suit as an author. “I just signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster," she said. "It’s called The Lo Down." Sounds juicy!
Awww, look at that! It's baby's first inflammatory, personal boundary-crossing rumor!
And yeah, that was baby. Singular.
Congratulations have only just tapered off for John Travolta and Kelly Preston's impending stork delivery, and already Star magazine is tripping over itself to break the so-called news that their new addition is actually a pair of new additions, reporting today that the couple are expecting not one but two babies—twin boys, as a matter of fact-free fact.
And while we're all for the Travoltas doubling their pleasure (if anyone deserves it, it's them), this is one baby bump we've gotta bust.
"Totally false," the couple's rep, Sam Mast, tells E! News. "They are not expecting twins."
So there you have it, from the mouths of babes. Or at least, from the mouths of reps of parents of an as yet unborn one.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are twins, and they're just not saying anything yet. But I don't know what to think.
There was a massive tease in the Lost finale, where the show alluded to Hurley and Ben spending an untold amount of time overseeing the Island and protecting it after Jack passed on the responsibility. It seemed unlikely we'd ever find out what happened during that time, since Lost was over. When Michael Emerson visited Attack of the Show today, however, he revealed the complete series DVD set will feature an epilogue that provides a hint at what happened.
"For those people that want to pony up and buy the complete Lost series, there is a bonus feature, which is...you could call it an epilogue," explained Emerson. "A lost scene. It’s a lot. It’s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series. It’s self-contained, although it’s a rich period in the show’s mythology that ‘s never been explored, so who knows what will come of it."
Despite Kevin's prodding, Emerson denied a Ben and Hurley spin-off, but for Lost diehards (like myself) who will take anything they can get, the DVDs should give us some closure.

Prince William is set to marry longtime love Kate Middleton in what promises to be a fairy-tale wedding — and Star has the jaw-dropping details about the $40 million extravaganza.
In the June 7 issue of Star — on sale today — we have eight pages of royal dish about William and Kate's upcoming nuptials, including the A-list guests, the extravagant gown, where they’ll say “I do,” Kate's surprise gift for William and more!
“William has always said he will be ready for marriage after his 28th birthday — that’s next month,” royal expert Nicholas Davies, author of William: King for the 21st Century, tells Star. “The timing is perfect for a wedding this year.”
Insiders estimate that as many as 3 billion awestruck viewers could tune in and the audience will not be disappointed by the ceremony with the couture gowns, lavish bouquets and priceless jewelry, including the 18-karat sapphire and diamond engagement ring William inherited from his late mother, Diana, which he plans to give to his bride-to-be.
And while Kate will certainly look to Diana and Prince Charles’ 1981 wedding when planning her own, she plans to put her own spin on the ceremony as a modern British bride.
"William will feel nothing but pride to see his beautiful bride,” says Davies.( Collapse )

GOLD Coast's Jordan Jansen is recognised in the street by fans and is about to head to LA to record his first album -- all before graduating from primary school.
Jordan, 12, began his skyrocketing career four years ago when he posted videos of himself covering songs such as Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' on YouTube for his grandmother to watch.
The videos have now had almost 40,000 views while Jordan also has 14,000 followers on Twitter
"It's really overwhelming, I can't believe how fast it is all happening," said the Palm Beach youngster.
"I'm only 12, it's so cool."
Two months ago, Jordan was contacted by Electric Feel Management in the US after Roderick Kerr saw his videos.
Next week he flies to the US to work on an album but rejects comparisons to teen idol Justin Bieber.
"We are nothing alike -- I like pop music and he does R'n'B, and he is four years older," said Jordan.
But like the Canadian star, Jordan says he has had some crazy run-ins with fans.
"I was singing at the Carrara Markets and a girl started screaming and crying saying 'oh my God, it's you', then started hyperventilating," he said.
"She was grabbing me and hugged me so tight I had marks on my neck. I was just laughing the whole time, I was in the middle of a song."
I'm just going to lol when his voice breaks. Everyone gives JB crap about singing like a girl but seriously at least Bieber and the Greyson kid have a little soul in their voices when they sing the right songs. This kid is bland as rice :| i'm australian and I hate this bieber trend.

Not even going to lie, the fact that Jack Thorne is behind this makes me more than optimistic; he's written the strongest Skins episodes and his film (Scouting Book For Boys) was absolutely wonderful.
Harry Shum Jr. is many things to many people: the non-annoying dancer in iPod commercials; the star of the upcoming Step-Up 3D (his fourth dance movie); a trilingual wonder (he was born in Costa Rica, and speaks Spanish, Cantonese, and “English, pretty well”); the co-choreographer of the description-defying Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (he plays good guy Elliott Hoo in the LXD’s soon-to-be-released online dance film). But he’s now best known as Mike Chang, the mysteriously dialogue-less “Other Asian” on Glee. Until now! Shum will get his first audible line in tonight’s episode, “Theatricality.” He spoke to Vulture while on the road with the Glee tour about his dance talents, experience on the show, and finally breaking his silence.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Julia Stiles is in advanced talks to play a major, top-secret role in the show’s upcoming fifth season.
What role, you ask? No idea. But based on what new showrunner Chip Johannessen told me a few weeks back, it’s safe to say Stiles won’t be following in the footsteps of last season’s very scary guest star, John Lithgow.
“We’re not going to have a single Big Bad this season,” revealed Johannessen. “We don’t want to try and top John Lithgow, so we’re going to change up the forces that Dexter’s going to be dealing with.”
Given that the new season picks up immediately following the death of Rita, it’s also unlikely Stiles will be coming in as a love interest for Michael C. Hall’s grieving widower. Maybe she’s playing Rita’s long-lost sister. Or her cousin once removed. The only thing I know for sure is that the Dexter gig would mark Stiles’ first major foray into television. Smart first step, if you ask me.
Broken Bells, the duo of Danger Mouse and Shins frontman James Mercer, have scored quite a coup for their forthcoming video for "The Ghost Inside". Entertainment Weekly reports that actress Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan Holloway on "Mad Men" and is almost certainly the hottest woman on the entire face of the planet, appears in the clip as a "beautiful android." You lost, every other band.
Talking to EW, Mercer says that the duo immediately wanted Hendricks, but they didn't think they'd get her: "We assumed we would ask and that'd be it. She's got to be so busy, and who the hell are we? But she said yes! Turns out she's a fan of our record."
We don't know yet when the video will be out.
On a related note, the video seems to be space-themed, and this mysterious website has been floating around that seems to have something to do with Broken Bells, so we imagine the two have something to do with each other.
This is really just an excuse to post about Christina Hendricks tbqh.

She may play the queen of homemaking on ABC's Desperate Housewives, but actress Marcia Cross isn't anything like Bree Van De Kamp. "I am not the greatest cook. I can do some nice breakfast foods, but don't ask me to do much more!" the actress admits to iVillage in an exclusive interview. As for Bree, "I wish she'd come and move in," Cross jokes.
Her lack of Bree's talent in the kitchen isn't stopping the 48-year-old actress, though. As part of their commitment to healthy lifestyles, the company has also partnered with the nonprofit organization KaBOOM! to improve local parks and build new "mega-playgrounds" across the country, an initiative Cross feels is essential. "We really need to change the dynamic of what's going on in our country right now, which has led to these high levels of obesity," she explains.
iVillage chatted with Cross about why she's a funny mom, the "gift" she got when her daughters were born (hint: it's a type of guilt!) and why she'd love to get Bree scuba diving!

Rage Against the Machine lead singer Zack de la Rocha has enlisted dozens of musicians and activists to join The Sound Strike, an open call by artists to boycott the state of Arizona over its recently passed immigration law. The law passed by the Arizona state legislature, SB1070, requires local authorities to determine a person's immigration status if he or she is suspected of being undocumented.
Groups like Cypress Hill, Juanes, Conor Oberst, Los Tigres del Norte, Rage Against the Machine, Cafe Tacvba, Kanye West, Calle 13 as well as Oscar winning filmmaker and activist Michael Moore have signed on to the campaign, which was announced on thesoundstrike.net today.
"Fans of our music, our stories, our films and our words can be pulled over and harassed every day because they are brown or black, or for the way they speak, or for the music they listen to," de la Rocha wrote in an open letter announcing the campaign. "People who are poor like some of us used to be could be forced to live in a constant state of fear while just doing what they can to find work and survive. This law opens the door for them to be shaked down, or even worse, detained and deported while just trying to travel home from school, from home to work, or when they just roll out with their friends."
The website calls for additional artists to sign on to the boycott of Arizona, and asks fans to sign an online petition calling for the law's repeal.
Other artists who have already joined The Sound Strike boycott include Joe Satriani, Serj Tankian, Rise Against, Ozomatli, Sabertooth Tiger, Massive Attack, One Day as a Lion, Street Sweeper Social Club, Spank Rock, Sonic Youth and Tenacious D.

According to TMZ, Janina James Coan said that Jesse's allegations that his father Larry broke his arm are "a bunch of crap".

How Facebook’s New Privacy Controls Work
Facebook’s privacy settings and users’ concerns have been debated and analyzed ad nauseum over the past several weeks. With today’s announcement, CEO Mark Zuckerberg and company hope to put the talk — and the fear and mistrust — to rest.
“We made a lot of changes at the same time,” Zuckerberg said regarding his company’s f8 announcements of the Open Graph API and other new Facebook features. “A lot of what we were trying to do got lost. We really need to simplify the controls… The feedback we got from users really resonated with us.”
Facebook’s new privacy controls are dead simple, as simple as a single button-click for sharing or restricting all your information — from your birthday and contact information to your posts and photos.
Now, Facebook will give users one simple control for all sharing. In a couple clicks, you can change all your settings, and the changes will apply retroactively as well. And of course, changes will apply to any new products that might be released in the future.

I wonder if Daniel Day-Lewis ever wakes up and thinks ‘hm,.. I wanna play a superhero’ or ‘I think I’m going to audition for a potential action/thriller franchise’. But Daniel is a class act, he only surfaces once in a while and every time he does, he goes straight for award worthy performance. The Guardian says that it’s going to be either Daniel or fellow actor Ben Whishaw to play Charles Dickens in the film titled THE INVISIBLE WOMAN which chronicles Dickens’ passionate secret love with a young actress named Nelly Ternan.
Based on Claire Tomalin’s biography, the script will be written by Abi Morgan and the project is produced by BBC Films.
Daniel is currently the front runner but Whishaw isn’t a long shot, he already had an experience in a biopic of a historical figure and the love that inspired his work, Whishaw’s performance as young poet John Keats in Bright Star was worth noting.
As much as I love Ben Whishaw, Daniel is clearly better for the part.
Ben Whishaw in Hamlet
As some may know Ben Whishaw is the youngest actor to play Hamlet on the London Stage, in a production at the Old Vic in 2004. Someone on Youtube has uploaded hilariously sketchy, 30 second clips from a taped performance of the production. There's no sound but...haha. I've included a couple of the best clips below the cut for your viewing pleasure.

If you haven't played Team Ico's legendary PlayStation 2 games (Ico and Shadow of the Colossus) that's cool. Just pretend you have and that they're great, artistic experiences that made you think and made you cry so people will think you're awesome and deep. Then, in 2011, if the rumors prove to be true, you can quietly play both games when the Team Ico collection is released for the PlayStation 3. Just don't let on that you never played them before.
Supposedly, the beginning of next year will see the Blu-Ray, HD released of both seminal Ico games in one package for the PlayStation 3.
Right now, the rumor is unsourced, but The Sixth Axis has an unsourced confirmation of the rumor and seems very convinced of it's truthiness. Do two unsourced rumors add up to one truth? Maybe on the internet.
Anyway, we ran this info through our gaming-rumor super computer, and have determined that there is an 87.5 percent chance that this actually happens, given that Team Ico's The Last Guardian should be hitting around that time, and nothing says pre-release hype like a compilation of older titles! Festival Guide: The Dead Weather
By: Alison Mosshart
Festivals are hard for me. I think the daytime is ugly. I don't want to look out and see a rainbow of sunburns. It's not very rock'n'roll. The whole time I was growing up in Florida I was waiting to be old enough to move to London and never have to think about the sun. Whenever we play festivals, we end up having a good show and the crowds have a good time, but I'm not an outdoors person.
One of my favorite shows ever was watching Jay-Z at Glastonbury [in 2008], so I do think it's possible to be great in that setting, but it's hard to get into a prime state for performing. I can never gauge the audience. People are getting something out of these things that I just don't get.
Touring is a machine, and you have a schedule you have to stick to. There's no time to watch other bands. If I had my choice, I would never play a show outside ever again.
In Santa Cruz, Calif., volunteers will re-enact every word and movement in the famous courtroom scene. In Monroeville, Ala., residents dressed in 1930s garb will read aloud from memorable passages. In Rhinebeck, N.Y., Oblong Books will host a party with Mocktails and recorded music by the indie band the Boo Radleys.
All summer “To Kill a Mockingbird” will be relived through at least 50 events around the country, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the publication of a book that became a cultural touchstone and an enduring staple of high-school reading programs.

In 2007, Nick Cave rounded up a crew of Bad Seeds vets to form Grinderman, the awesomely squalid side project that led Cave back toward the sexed-up noise that he made when he led the Birthday Party. Grinderman's self-titled debut album was a serious kick in the ass, and now there's another one on the way.
Grinderman 2 lands in Europe September 13 via Mute. In North America, Anti- will release the album a day later. Grinderman recorded the new album in several London studios. Along with co-producer Nick Launay, they handled production themselves.
The band will spend their autumn bringing their searing attack of a live show to venues across Europe. I saw Grinderman practically level Madison Square Garden when they opened for the White Stripes a few years ago, so I can say from personal experience that you don't want to miss this one.
