Stay Away! Britney Spears Wins Again - Sam Lutfi drops appeal and looks toward civil suit

Britney Spears' ex-manager dropped his appeal of a judge's ruling that he must stay away from the singer until 2012, according to his appellate court attorney.

Osama "Sam" Lutfi instead will concentrate on his civil suit against the pop star and her parents, which is currently under a separate appeal, said attorney Joseph D. Schleimer.

In April 2009, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva K. Bobb directed Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley to stay at least 100 yards from the pop star, her two young sons and her homes.

Bobb's ruling extended until April 28, 2012, a temporary order she issued against both men in January 2009. Bobb has since retired from the bench.

Megan Fox's beauty responsible for drama @ starbucks

Hollywood beauty Megan Fox was almost the cause of a couple breaking up - after they got into a blazing row in front of her.

The couple reportedly came close to splitting up when a male fan told Fox she was 'beautiful' in front of his girlfriend.

The Transformers actress allegedly caused the dust-up in a Starbucks in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, when she was accosted by the male fan, who praised her repeatedly as his jealous girlfriend watched on.

According to the National Enquirer, he said: 'You are definitely the most gorgeous woman on earth. You're a perfect 10! I've never seen anyone more beautiful than you.'

But before Fox could respond, the mystery man's furious lover stormed over and shouted at the unsuspecting movie star.

'Why don't you just stand on top of her, you're so close. By the way, you're not so perfect! Why don't you admit it - you've had a nose job and a boob job, no doubt. Is that right?'

Fox, 23, quickly made her exit as she told the couple: 'I just came here to get a cup of coffee. This is so not worth it!'

'The Pacific' finale review

"You just gotta pull yourself out of bed in the morning and get on with the day. You do that enough times in a row, you forget some things... for a while, anyway." -Sid

And so we've come to the end of "The Pacific," and to the close of the stories Leckie, Sledge and the Basilone family (with Basilone himself having fallen at Iwo Jima). And while Part Ten didn't have the gore of Okinawa, or the intensity of Peleliu and Iwo Jima, or the oppressive quality of Cape Gloucester, it was still a powerful capstone to this great miniseries.

Like the comparable episode of "Band of Brothers" (which was set after the European war ended, but with Easy Company still stuck overseas), the tone is quieter and more emotional. The fighting's done, and now everyone has to deal with a life beyond that.

Bruce McKenna said at one point he wanted to open the miniseries with footage of Wild Bill Guarnere saying that as rough as he had it, the boys in the Pacific had it much, much worse. The finished product brought that sentiment to life, and a version of the line was ultimately given to Leckie's cab driver here, who notes that least he got to take liberty in Europe, where guys like Leckie got jungle rot. If he only knew how bad things really got for Bob - and how much worse they went for men like Sledge and Snafu.

Sledge, Leckie and Basilone were chosen as an easy way for McKenna and company to cover a good chunk of the ground war in the Pacific theater - Leckie and Basilone at Guadalcanal and in Australia, Leckie and Sledge on Peleliu, Basilone at Iwo Jima, Sledge on Okinawa - and because Sledge and Leckie had written such acclaimed combat memoirs (Sledge's "With the Old Breed" and Leckie's "A Helmet For My Pillow"), while Basilone's life and death were at once very well-documented and yet conflicting. (The official record, for instance, says he died from an artillery round explosion, but researcher Hugh Ambrose has said he found multiple witnesses who saw Basilone get shot.)

Lionsgate picks up 'A Dangerous Method' & 'Coriolanus'

It looks like Lionsgate is set to take quite a step out of their horror/genre loving wheelhouse.

According to Variety, the studio’s U.K. branch has picked up the rights to both David Cronenberg’s upcoming film, A Dangerous Method, as well as the Ralph Fiennes helmed, new age take on the Shakespeare story, Coriolanus. The studio plans on releasing both films in the U.K. sometime next year.

A Dangerous Method sees Cronenberg re-team with his muse, Viggo Mortensen, as well as Keira Knightley and Michael Fassbender in supporting roles, all set to shoot this month. The film follows the relationship between legendary psychiatrists Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, all during the early days of psychoanalysis. However, it’s also a tale of romance, as it follows Jung, as he falls for a woman named Sabina Spielrein, who herself is far more troubled than she seems, and becomes even more so as the film goes.

Coriolanus is the debut from actor turned filmmaker, Ralph Fiennes, and is a new take on the classic Shakespeare tale, that followed a Roman general who goes against the Empire, and flies in the face of his government. The new take is set during the Iraq war, lensed by famed cinematographer Barry Ackroyd, and stars a cast that includes Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave and Brian Cox.

Pregnancy Whodunit on 'Always Sunny' Season 6

They’ve lied, cheated, stolen, kidnapped, destroyed a home, exploited a religious phenomenon, adopted a crack addiction just for the welfare checks, and, once, made Danny DeVito wear skinny jeans. Are the highly motivated, impossibly ineffectual schemers of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia — the virtuosically absurd FX comedy set in a South Philly dive bar — fit to raise a child? We may soon find out:

The show’s sixth season, scheduled for premiere in the fall, is shooting now, and Kaitlin Olson, who plays the put-upon bar waitress Sweet Dee, is very, very pregnant. That means that, yes, as some have speculated, Sweet Dee will be with child on next season’s Sunny.

Charlie Day — who writes and co-stars in the show (as maniacal fan favorite Charlie Kelly) alongside Rob McElhenney (karate aficionado Mac) and Glenn Howerton (ladies' man Dennis) — says “the best way to work around is to write to it. So, outside a few loose shirts in the beginning of filming, we’ve written to it, and it was one of the motivating factors of why we’re stringing a few episodes together.” (The show’s plotlines are, for the most part, wrapped up, in some creatively destructive fashion, usually both physically and emotionally, by the end of each episode.) “The character will be pregnant.” But … how the hell is that going to work? “The only detail I can give you is that we’ll have a really fun episode trying to figure out, ‘who done it?’”

In real life, the father-to-be is more obvious: That’d be McElhenney, who married Olson in 2008. So what does he think about working his progeny into the plot? “By the next block she’s going to be seven-and-a-half-months pregnant,” he says. “There’s no hiding that! We spent weeks and weeks talking about, ‘How are we going to deal with this?’”

Fret not, Sunny fanatics, the gang is not taking the development lightly: “When you bring a baby into the dynamic of a television cast it changes everything.”

Ryan Phillippe is still rocking his 'Summer' style

With one shirtless corner turn in 1997's "I Know What You Did Last Summer" a star -- and sex symbol -- was born in Ryan Phillippe. Now, 13 years later he's looking better than ever in a tank, similar to the one "Barry" wore during his few clothed scenes.

The forearm accessory -- his character's cast has given way to some real life ink -- isn't the only thing that has changed. At 35-years-old, Ryan also fills out the style much, much better.

Xtina:"I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga, I think she's great"

Dear Fans,

I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.
There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.

This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.

“Can’t hold us down….”

With love,

Brett Ratner Talks 'X-Men: First Class' And Its New Director, Matthew Vaughn

Let's just say that "X-Men: The Last Stand" director Brett Ratner has a complicated relationship with the comic book community. Though his entry in the mutant series remains the highest grossing film of the franchise ($459 million in worldwide box office sales), you only have to visit the comment section of any story on the director to get a sense of the vitriol often directed his way.

Yes, Ratner may not be universally adored, but he's come out with a full-throated endorsement of the newest director in the "X-Men" community: Matthew Vaughn, who officially signed on to direct "X-Men: First Class" earlier this month.

"I think he's brilliant," Ratner said of the "Kick-Ass" director. "I thought his last movie was fantastic. I'm a fan."

Such a fan, it seems, that Ratner would've been keen to see Vaughn hop into the director's chair to helm his own 2006 "X-Men" flick. "I would have loved to see 'The Last Stand' directed by him," Ratner said.

We're not exactly sure what to make of that statement, other than to count it as evidence that Ratner holds Vaughn in high esteem. But looking to the future, Ratner sees "First Class" as the truly perfect "X-Men" project for Vaughn.

"I think this one is probably even more right for him because it's the younger X-Men, the beginning, and he's great, obviously, with kids," Ratner said. "He has an incredible visual style and he's a great filmmaker. I think every 'X-Men' should be directed by a different director, just like 'Alien.' Why does it have to be one filmmaker?

That being said, Ratner has ruled out ever returning to the franchise. "When I say I'm not going to do another 'X-Men,' it's because they're doing all these spin-offs," he explained. "It doesn't make sense for me to do 'Wolverine' if I did 'X-Men.' It's just a different scope. For me, it would just be going backwards."

Robert Munsch admits cocaine and alcohol addiction

For more than 30 years, Robert Munsch has fascinated young readers with his unique stories that have made his books staples of any child's library.

But it is his latest story, one of admission to cocaine and alcohol addictions, that has become the most shocking and captivating one, a story not intended for his young "Munschkin" fans.

In a message titled "Note to Parents" posted on his website, the bestselling author admits he's been diagnosed as obsessive-compulsive and manic-depressive.

"Those challenges have led me to make some big mistakes," Munch says, without providing further details.

But in an interview with Global Television aired Saturday, Munsch admitted he is a recovering cocaine addict and alcoholic, adding he has been clean for about four months.

Zoë Set to Play an Assassin?

Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) is in early negotiations to star in Columbiana, a drama that Luc Besson is producing under his EuropaCorp, reports Heat Vision. Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) will direct starting late-summer.

The trade says the film "is set in Latin America and the U.S. Saldana would play a young woman who, after witnessing her parents' murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents' death."

Besson and Robert Mark Kamen wrote the script.

In the suspense thriller, Biel plays a woman who must grapple with and track the mysterious figure of The Tall Man who has kidnapped her child.

Laugier, who also wrote the film, says "I like to think of 'The Tall Man' as a sort of Panic Room... outside! It is a 'woman in jeopardy' movie with a lot of twists and a strong female character that you feel very connected to."

The $15 million-budgeted film starts shooting this September in Vancouver.

Katy Perry To Perform At 2010 MTV Movie Awards

The last time Katy Perry performed at an MTV awards show, things worked out pretty well. At the VMAs in September, she busted out a bone-shaking rendition of Queen's "We Will Rock You" to open to the evening. Then she fell for — and got engaged to — VMA host Russell Brand. Is it any surprise that she wants to do it all over again?

Perry is set to perform live at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6. The singer will play "California Gurls," the first single off her upcoming album, Teenage Dream. She joins previously announced performer Christina Aguilera at this year's show.

"I'm proud to represent the West Coast at the MTV Movie Awards in the magical glow of the Hollywood sign with my new single 'California Gurls,' " Perry said in a statement. "I hope it will be the theme song to a lot of summer loving; I know it will in my house!"

Basically, mountaintop removal a controversial form of coal mining in which entire mountains are literally blown up. Opponents, like, argue that the practice is “devastating hundreds of square miles of Appalachia; polluting the headwaters of rivers that provide drinking water to millions of Americans; and destroying a distinctly American culture that has endured for generations.”

Patti Smith Celebrates Henry Darger

Patti Smith brought the crowd to its feet Saturday night when she performed at a benefit for the American Folk Art Museum in New York. The party celebrated the (supposed) birthday of Henry Darger, the reclusive and prolific Chicago artist who created a fantasy world through his manuscripts and watercolor paintings. His work is on display at the American Folk Art Museum's exhibition "The Private Collection of Henry Darger" through September.

Smith's daughter, Jesse, joined her onstage on the keyboard and guests included Betsey Johnson and her company's cofounder Chantal Bacon, artists Justine Wheeler and Jeff Koons and Oscar de la Renta's son, Moises. Smith also hawked her new memoir, 'Just Kids,' which centers on her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe, who died of AIDS in 1989. jemi talks about touring together

Touring with the Jonas Brothers would be an amazing experience for any young singer. For Demi Lovato, it's extra special – it means she gets to spend the whole summer with boyfriend Joe Jonas.

"I'm fortunate that I get to work with the person that I'm in the relationship with," the singer-actress, 17, tells PEOPLE. "Rather than being across the country and texting him, I can have him hold my hand when I'm tired."

Lovato and Jonas, 20, who stepped out publicly as a couple for the first time in March, met while filming Camp Rock. That pre-romance time, Lovato says, was pretty sweet, too.

"We weren't together at the time," she says. "So, it was just working with my best friend. It was awesome. And now that we're in a relationship, it's even better, because we may be tired, but we have each other to be there."

How psyched is Joe to have Demi on the tour, which kicks off July 27 in Dallas? "It's going to be really exciting," he says. "Touring with Demi is going to be a lot of fun. It'll be different this time, but it will be fun."

Miss USA for a one day and already getting flack

Just hours after Dearborn native Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA, photos of her pole dancing for a radio contest have hit the Web.

The 24-year-old Fakih won Mojo in the Morning's "Stripper 101" contest back in 2007, according to the station.

The station has posted photos from the event, where Fakih can be seen dancing on a stage fully clothed and later with dollar bills stuffed into her bra.

Who knew a beauty pageant would draw this much criticism?

After Dearborn resident Rima Fakih became the first Arab-American to win Miss USA, it seemed like it would be a good thing for Michiganians to talk about, but yesterday's news for the other 49 states in the Union. Not the case.

Bloggers and commentators haven't held back in expressing their thoughts about Fakih's historic win. Meanwhile, at least one skeleton has been dragged out of Fakih's closet: TMZ recently posted pictures of Fakih at a pole-dancing contest sponsored by WKQI's "Mojo in the Morning." That shouldn't be grounds for disqualification -- it's not like she was nude or anything.

'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy: 'We're talking to Britney'

There's a lot happening the world of Glee right now. Not only has the four-city live tour just kicked off, and not only did Fox announce that Glee will be back in the fall on Tuesdays, but the show got a Peabody Award today at a presentation luncheon in New York City.

And, creator Ryan Murphy told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell at the lunch, "This week we have the Joss Whedon/Neil Patrick Harris extravaganza. We do a really big Aerosmith number that those two boys knock out of the park. After that we have the Lady Gaga episode that comes after the finale of American Idol."

When asked if a Britney Spears episode is going to happen, Murphy said, "We love Britney, we're talking to Britney. I think you have to be very careful on the show not to do too many tribute episodes. but she certainly has a huge body of work to pull from and the kids grew up with her so that is a consideration, they love her. "

Murphy also said that a truce of sorts has been reached with Newsweek author Ramin Sedooteh. Murphy had called for a boycott of the magazine after Sedooteh wrote an article Murphy felt was "homophobic." Then Murphy invited him to come visit the set to discuss the piece and observe the creative process.

"The meeting is probably going to come sometime in July when we're back in production so we can sit and meet the cast and have a lot of other people in Hollywood come and talk to him about opposing points of view," Murphy said. "It will all be nice. It's not going to be cross."

Lawrence Taylor's Wife Is In Denial

Lawrence Taylor’s 3rd wife appeared on The Insider last night to defend her man against serious, career-ending charges that he raped a 16-year-old girl in a NY hotel room last week.

Taylor was arrested May 6th and charged with third-degree statutory rape and patronizing a prostitute. He was released on $75,000 bail.

Despite the fact that Taylor admitted paying the runaway teen $300 to perform sexual favors, his wife adamantly insists that her husband did nothing wrong.

Let’s look at the facts:
Taylor admitted paying the teenager for sex. The teenager told her uncle and police she had sexual intercourse with the Pro Football Hall of Famer. A used condom was found inside Taylor’s Holiday Inn motel room. What more evidence does his wife need? Certainly this isn’t the first time LT has ordered up a prostitute while on the road.

But it is easy to understand why his wife would stand by him: they need the cash. That rape charge hanging over LT’s head will certainly chase away the last few endorsements he has left.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Used Racial Slur When Banned From Airline

As the incident unfolded, Meyers, growing furious, flung the 'N' word, the source told exclusively. He had been drinking vodka and it was before 7 am. It is unclear if the actor was directing the word toward an individual or just spewing it without a specific target.

The Tudors star used the racial slur as he was being informed by the airline that they were not going to allow him to board the plane.

An airline employee confirmed the incident to

It's by far the ugliest display of behavior for an actor who has a history of traveling misbehavior. In 2007, seven months after checking into rehab for the second time, he was arrested at Dublin airport and charged with being drunk and in breach of peace (the charges were later dropped).

Then, in June 2009, three months after checking out of rehab the third time, he was arrested after allegedly attacking a number of staff at a bar in Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport.

Melissa Etheridge Talks Not Being 'Gay Enough'

Melissa Etheridge: My Songs 'Aren't Gay Enough' for 'Glee'

Melissa Etheridge's eleventh studio album, 'Fearless Love,' is dropping at the same time as she's rebuilding her love life from the ground up. The 48-year-old songstress recently broke up with Tammy Lynn Michaels after nine years and having twins together in 2006. Etheridge spoke extremely candidly to PopEater about the painful timing of the split, the "sexphobia" behind the 'Glee'/Newsweek debacle and the absurdities of being called "too gay" or "not gay enough."

Did you separate from Tammy before writing this album?
It was written before we actually physically separated, but you know, breakups just don't happen overnight.

It must suck having the album and the separation emerge at the same time. Do you wish the timing was different?
[Laughs] Absolutely! When I saw these things were about to collide for a while there I thought, I don't want this to come up on top of the album, and then I started doing interviews and they're like, "You're such a family girl, your marriage is great, what's the key to a great marriage?" and I was like, "Oh, I can't sit here and lie." But I would have definitely made the timing different.

So is the song 'Miss California' about Tammy?
That's a political song. It's about California passing Proposition 8.

Peabody Awards Celebrate ‘Glee,’ ‘Modern Family’

Relatable characters and everyday issues ruled this year’s Peabody Awards. Host Diane Sawyer kicked off her emceeing duties by mentioning a program that helps viewers recall their high school experiences — “like not being invited to the prom, not that I’m asking for your sympathy,” she quipped.

That show, of course, was “Glee.” Accepting the award, creator Ryan Murphy called “Glee” “a show about a lot of things. Mostly Madonna. But ‘Glee’ is [also] about diversity.”

On the red carpet, star Jane Lynch reiterated the show’s commitment to breaking down teen-society barriers. “I get stopped by kids all the time, thirteen, fourteen-year-old girls who are just vibrating out of their bodies with excitement,” Lynch said. “I had a girl yesterday tell me that auditions for her high school production have tripled. I think a lot of us were hiding our inner musical theater star.”

Via Videogum:

"Supposedly, this video features Hollywood’s own Chris Klein auditioning for the 2008 movie adaptation of the popular musical Mamma Mia. Why this video is only surfacing now is a mystery. What is not a mystery is how disturbing this is: very disturbing!

Obviously, we are all citizens of the Internet, and as such it is impossible to watch something like this without harboring at least mild suspicions that it is fake and that we are being fucked with. But if it was fake, why would Chris Klein go along with it? It makes him look very bad! And it’s not like this video is selling anything, unless they make viral videos to sell cocaine now. And even if they did, it would be beside the point, since clearly there isn’t any cocaine left, because Chris Klein did it all. Which leaves us with the most terrifying possibility of all: that this is actually real. GOODNIGHT SWEET DREAMS."

Perez posted this as well--definitely thinks it's real. I might actually like Chris Klein more if it turns out fake.

My Queen talks about new Kills album and tdw

We catch up with Jack White's not-so-secret weapon on the eve of TDW's album release.
by Johnny Firecloud

Soaked in sexual tension and wrought with spontaneous bursts of dissonant combustion, The Dead Weather is framed upon a lit-fuse sense of danger and lawlessness that most bands fail at imitating.

Buoyed by mastermind Jack White’s rhythmic flurries on the drums and multi-instrumental moonlighting, QOTSA guitarist Dean Fertita and Raconteurs’ bass man Jack Lawrence, vocalist Allison Mosshart’s stoned, dreamy vocals feign sedated softness one moment, searing flesh the next with a tigress roar and gut-punch bravado. These four sonic superpowers round out The Dead Weather - a high-octane passion collection of well-known influence and inflections that culminate in a mean, desert-buzz bastard blues strut.

On the eve of the release of Dead Weather’s bombastic second albumSea of Cowards, we tracked down Alison at a recording studio in Michigan where she’s currently holed up with Jamie Hince, her partner in The Kills, for the follow-up to 2008’s fantastic Midnight Boom.

CBS does... stuff. Only reporting for Hawaii 5-0 News.

Congratulations, Daniel Dae Kim. You are the first "Lostie" to get a new job.

And you get to stay in Hawaii! That makes us feel better about the fact you had to see Jin drown a couple of weeks ago.
CBS has begun its march toward announcing its new fall schedule. It picked up the remake of the buzzy "Hawaii 5-O," starring Kim as Chin Ho Kelly, and Alex O'Loughlin. The network's been trying to connect O'Loughlin with a hit show for several years now, could this be the one?

The cast includes: Taryn Manning ("Drive"), Grace Park ("Battlestar Galactica") and Scott Caan ("Oceans Eleven")

Getprev-2 Peter Lenkov ("CSI: New York") wrote the script, and the "Fringe" and "Alias" producing team of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman is behind it. Based on the hit CBS show that aired from 1968 to 1980, the new version will center on Steve McGarrett, played by O'Loughlin, who heads a police division in Hawaii that reports directly to the governor.

The network has picked up two other dramas, "Defenders" and "Blue Bloods."

"Defenders" is CBS' new legal drama starring Jim Belushi and Tanya Fischer ("Life on Mars"). It centers on two charismatic and fiery Las Vegas defense attorneys who go to the mat for their clients. Written by newcomers Niels Mueller and Kevin Kennedy, it was directed by the Oscar-winning Davis Guggenheim. Carol Mendelsohn of the "CSI" franchise is producing it. Jurnee Smollett ("Eve's Bayou") is also in the cast.

From "Southland" writing team Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green comes "Blue Bloods," about three generations of an Irish Catholic family who are all involved in law enforcement in New York City. The cast includes: Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Flex Alexander, Bridget Moynahan and Len Cariou.

CBS previously ordered one comedy, "Mike & Molly," executive produced by Chuck Lorre.

John Travolta's dogs get killed by a service truck at airport

Actor John Travolta's dogs got killed when they were accidentally run over by a service truck at Maine's Bangor airport, TMZ reports.

Apparently, a jet that was carrying members of the Travolta family, including two dogs, landed at Bangor International Airport at about 1:00 a.m. on Thursday May 13.

When the passengers got off the plane, someone took the two dogs for a walk, as an airport service truck approached the plane.
When the truck got closer it struck the two dogs by accident and they were both killed. It is not known how the dogs got in the way of the truck, or if they were let loose somehow.

There has been no statement from the Travolta family yet and the details of the incident are so far not known.

Dear Sarah Connor: Please kill Nancy

This should go a long way in terminating the negative buzz surrounding Elizabeth Perkins’ Weeds exit: Linda Hamilton is joining the Showtime comedy for a multi-episode arc in season 6, sources confirm to me exclusively.

The original Sarah Connor will play Linda, an eco-conscious marijuana grower who, along with her life partner Fiona, helps Nancy’s endeavors in Seattle take bloom.

Weeds‘ sixth season, which premieres August 16, finds Nancy and Co. on the run after Shane whacked Pilar with a croquet mallet.

Also joining the cast for several episodes is Prison Break alum Peter Stormare. His character is described as a hot-tempered German chef who is anything but charmed by his new ambitious dishwasher, Andy (Justin Kirk).

omg yay! amy adams has a little princess

Amy Adams has given birth to a healthy baby girl. has exclusively confirmed the 35-year-old "Julie & Julia" star welcomed the seven-pound addition to her family this the weekend.

Her fiancé, Darren Le Gallo, was by her side at an undisclosed Los Angeles location for the birth.

"Everyone is doing well,"
a pal of the actress told "It's very exciting for Amy, Darren and their families. They have a large, extended family and all their brothers and sisters are relieved and thrilled that this moment has come for them both."

This is the first child for both parents.

The Oscar-nominated actress and Le Gallo, who met in 2001 in an acting class, announced last December they were expecting.

Ryan Seacrest thinks Biebus can replace Simon Cowell. Remains delusional while thinking so.

Ryan Seacrest Says Justin Bieber Could Replace Simon Cowell On 'Idol'

'I would want a much younger, thinner, more charming Simon,' the 'American Idol' host says of new judge.

At KIIS-FM's annual Wango Tango festival on Saturday, the host of the station's "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest" was feeling a little overshadowed as Bieber fever spread in Los Angeles' Staples Center.

"The vibe is 'Where's Justin Bieber?' — that's the vibe," Seacrest joked to MTV News, when we caught up with him backstage. "All the girls that are hanging out here, even the ones that work for us, are like, 'Have you seen him?' I'm like, 'I'm right here.' And they're like, 'No, Justin Bieber him.' "

But when talk turned to the topic of who should replace departing "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell next season, Seacrest had some ideas.

"It's gonna be different because there's going to be an empty chair at the end of that panel," the "AI" host said. "I'm not quite sure who's going into that chair, so it's a big [decision]," he added. The tough-talking Brit will go his own way after season nine with plans to head up the American version of talent show "The X Factor."

"Who would I want in that chair?" Seacrest wondered aloud. "I would want a much younger, thinner, more charming Simon. ... Bieber — he's the guy!"

Recently, another "Idol" alum, guest judge Neil Patrick Harris, weighed in on who he would like to see take over for Cowell. And it wasn't Bieber.

"I feel like [Simon]'s irreplaceable," Harris said. "I feel like whoever gets that spot has such a target on their back. I think [Howard] Stern would be great. I think he's adequately polarizing and has strong opinions about things in a legitimate way, and I'm a fan of Howard Stern."

LOL Biebs is way too nice. He'd probably tell everyone they sound great!

Drew's big brother and former 98 Degrees band mate Nick Lachey announced the pregnancy last December during an appearance on the Bonnie Hunt Show. "I get to be an uncle all over again," Nick, 36, gushed.

Apparently Drew Lachey's rep does not know how the birthing process works. But yay, a normal baby name!

Cast keeps 'Twilight' machine rolling

CHICAGO — Dashingly disheveled Robert Pattinson has an infectious, high-pitched laugh that would never do for his seductive vampire lover-boy, Edward Cullen.

Buff-and-polished Taylor Lautner is pocket-size compared with the looming stature of his werewolf counterpart, Jacob Black.

Casual yet cool Kristen Stewart can be a real chatterbox, unlike her moody Bella Swan, the high schooler in a romantic tug of war between these two supernatural objects of teen desire.

Lucky girl, right? "Yeah, but that's in the movies," Stewart says about bringing to life the modern-day Gothic heroine from the insanely popular Twilight book series (85 million copies sold so far). "I'm just the ultimate fan. If you read a story and you like it and connect to it, it probably means you've inserted yourself in the story, and I get to do that on the most glorified level possible."

Hollywood fantasy regularly blends with everyday reality for these three blazing-hot rising stars. It has taken a while for a cultural navigator like Oprah Winfrey to zero in on the heat behind the literary-spawned phenom. But on this early May morning, Twilight fever is raging at Harpo Studios as the actors file into the backstage area after taping a show that aired Thursday. The occasion? Eclipse, the third chapter in an already billion-dollar worldwide franchise that arrives June 30.

The actors are unfazed by the shrieking adoration of a largely female audience, many in black Twilight T's — Team Edward and Team Jacob are duly represented — and all handpicked for their passion for the epic movie series based on author Stephenie Meyer's four-part saga.

Bieber Gets Tagged has done the next, most legal thing to laying our hands on Justin Bieber’s tattoo (technically illegal). We’ve got the photos to prove that his tattoo even exists, straight out of the Son of a Gun tattoo parlor in Toronto, Canada, where the 16-year-old Bieber dropped trou to receive his first tattoo, of a small bird on his hip.

Speculation arose alongside teenage shrieks of desire a few days ago when photos of Bieber playing football sans shirt on a Sydney beach surfaced (see gallery below). The small tattoo on his pelvis appears to be … an anvil? No. The Texas Longhorns mascot? OK, what about the plastic bag in American Beauty? Not that either… what’s that? I see.

My sources (internet) have just informed me that the tattoo is of a bird in flight. Turns out it’s a Bieber tradition, as many members of his family sport bird tattoos on their wrist. Justin’s dad Jeremy Bieber was alongside Justin as the tatt artist went to work, defacing the body of America’s sole angel. And now, that little bird tattoo can spread his little ink wings and fly into the hearts of millions.

We just pray he stops there. Miniature hip tattoos we can cope with, but full sleeves and a dolphin tramp stamp would really ruin kill our hopes of one day birthing a litter of Biebies.

Gossip Girl Round Up

Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford: I met Prince Harry backstage at a Killers gig

What’s the appeal of Gossip Girl?
It centres on gossip and our cultural fascination with it. It has good writers, a good foundation in the books it was adapted from and a good ensemble cast. Everyone delivers well.
Has the show got more ridiculous as it’s progressed?
Absolutely. It has to up the ante each season. It’s all part of the fun.
What’s the most ridiculous thing your character’s done on the show?
Sleeping with a 40-year-old woman.
How do you respond to rumours you’re having a secret gay romance with co-star Ed Westwick?
I just throw my head back and laugh. It’s not hard to deal with when there’s no truth to it. Just ignore it and it’ll go away.
Are you looking for other jobs?
Absolutely. We’re all contracted for six years but it’s good to switch it up. We get four months a year to work on other projects and the show’s given us a good foundation to do other things. I’d like to play a supporting role in a project with a good cast and great director.
Whose career do you admire?
Paul Newman’s my favourite actor and he did pretty well in Hollywood, obviously. There’s no one way to build a career, you just have to assess where you are and play it like a game of chess and make the right moves.
What’s been your most challenging acting experience?
I did a movie last year called Twelve, which comes out soon. It was fun. Very intense. It’s based on a novel by a 17-year-old. It’s about how rich kids get into a new designer drug. It’s seen through the eyes of my character, who is a marijuana dealer. Some of it is funny but it’s also a tragic melodrama.

Hit Girl/Chloe Moretz at age 13, is kicking ass and starring in Martin Scorsese films

Having played a child assassin in Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, Chloë Moretz is fast carving out a career as Hollywood's hottest young actress.

If you don't already recognize 13-year-old Chloe Moretz, by the end of the year there's no question you will. That's because the Georgia-born teen, who made quite a splash as Joseph Gordon-Levitt's precocious sister in 2009's 500 Days of Summer, has 2 major roles in 2010 that will no doubt keep audiences talking. First up is Hit Girl in Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, where she literally demolishes an army of thugs and spouts expletives that you wouldn't expect from someone who loos so angelic. Then there is Let Me In, a remake of the Swedish vampire drama Let the Right One In. She and her father, a plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, talked to Wonderland on Oscar Sunday over coffee and eggs.

Glee Creator Says Lea Michele Is No Diva

While blogs buzz with reports that Glee star Lea Michele is letting her newfound fame go to her head, the show’s creator and director, Ryan Murphy, defends the singer, saying she’s a sweet person and a team player.

“[The rumors are] not accurate and not true at all,” Murphy told PEOPLE at the 69th Annual Peabody Awards in New York City on Monday, where the hit musical was honored for its achievement in diversity and content. “Lea is the sweetest, most professional girl. She’s incredibly kind and she’s always on time and she’s always with her cast hanging out. They’re all close.”

As for how to combat the reports — including stories about tension between Michele and her costars — Murphy says he’s offered her advice on how to ignore the gossip.

“I told Lea this would happen to her in July of last year. Just wait, people will start to write untruths,” says Murphy. “I told her, ‘Keep your chin up and it just happens. It’s happened to me and it’s happened to everyone. So don’t pay attention to it.’ But it’s definitely not true. Lea is great.”

Gaga wants to impress fans with an English accent

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Lady Gaga has been practising how to speak like the British Queen for her new show, and is even dressing like the royal.

The singer is keen to make her upcoming tour dates in the UK extra special, and thinks speaking to her fans in an English accent would impress them. Gaga is determined to master the monarch's posh tones, and has been spending increasing amounts of time practising while at home.

"She's been copying the way the Queen speaks from online content. She loves all things British, especially the Queen. She wants to be able to do a really good accent for when she's over here on tour later this month," a source explained. "If she gets dressed up in regal attire, she feels like it helps her accent."

The 24-year-old has been testing her new speaking voice out on friends to get some feedback. She bumped into Sir Elton John at a recent benefit concert in New York, and even asked him for tips on how to pronounce British words.

Gaga is now convinced she has mastered the accent, so has started trying to trick her friends when she speaks to them.

"Gaga is trying it out on every available opportunity. She chatted to Sir Elton about various British elements - she can't get enough of the monarch," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "One thing she loves doing is prank-calling her friends to see if they can guess who it is."

The singer's obsession with the monarch is believed to have started last year, when she met Queen Elizabeth II after performing at the annual Royal Variety Show. The flamboyant star wore a red, PVC ruffled dress for her appearance, which saw her hoisted 30ft into the air to play a piano.

LeBron James' mother of a sex scandal

Rumor has it that the Cleveland Cavaliers star's mom had an affair with his teammate Delonte West

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The sports world is blowing up with a rumor that LeBron James' poor performance last week against the Boston Celtics can be blamed on mommy issues -- more specifically, mommy-sleeping-with-a-teammate issues. Word is that the Cleveland Cavaliers star found out that his 41-year-old mother, Gloria, had been having an affair with 26-year-old Delonte West just before game time, and some are predicting the upset will push him to leave the team.

However, the gossip remains just that and the Jameses have yet to make any comment on it. Just looking at the story as pure folklore, though, it's pretty fascinating -- the betrayal by a man who is supposed to be, literally, on your side, the resulting emasculation and, hello, inability to perform. It's almost Shakespearean. Then there is the element of female sexuality as both generative (she's his mother!) and destructive (she ruined his game!). Add the age difference between James and her supposed lover -- cougar alert! -- and you've got pure tabloid gold. Unfortunately, it looks like this story won't be going away any time soon.

Everyone knows Delonte has his issues and Gloria James is the commissioner of Crazy County but, why would you get with your friend's mom when your wife looks like this? Not to mention, you're in the goddamn NBA, meaning you're never more than 20 yards away from a skeezer. I'm just saying.

Björk wins prestigious Polar Music Prize

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The singer, who was recently announced to be working on a 3D film project, is to share the honour with composer Ennio Morricone. The award is handed out by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.

"The Polar Music Prize 2010 is being awarded to Icelandic artist Björk. With her deeply personal music and lyrics, her precise arrangements and her unique voice, Björk has already made an indelible mark on pop music and modern culture at large, despite her relative youth. No other artist moves so freely between avant-garde and pop. With her albums and videos, Björk has taken avant-garde to the top of the charts. She has also always embraced technological advances, combining computers with ancient sounds. Björk has introduced an arctic temperament to popular music and shown how passionate and explosive it can be. Björk is an untameable force of nature, an artist who marches to nobody’s tune but her own."

Both will receive a prize of £87,000 and be presented with trophies at a ceremony in Stockholm later this year.

The Polar Music Prize is Sweden's most high-profile music award and every year is split between pop and classical artists.

Previous winners include Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

Argentine singer Cerati "suffers stroke" in Caracas

Popular Argentine singer and former Soda Stereo bandleader Gustavo Cerati suffered a suspected stroke in the Venezuelan capital Caracas after giving a concert on Saturday, local media reported on Monday.

The 50-year-old artist was admitted to a hospital after experiencing an "ischemic vascular event," the newspaper El Universal quoted neurologist Vladimir Fuenmayor as saying, adding that Cerati's condition was stable.

The pop singer will remain under observation for between 32 and 48 hours and will undergo more tests, the newspaper said.

Cerati's official website,, said he had suffered from dizziness after performing in Caracas because of stress and exhaustion, but was recovering well.
