Dannii Minogue Shows Off Her Baby Bump Wearing Willow

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
On Saturday Dannii Minogue greeted fans whilst proudly showed off her growing baby bump when arrived for the start of ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ auditions in Melbourne, Australia.

The 5 month pregnant star – who appears to have committed herself to finding talent – looked stunning wearing a purple furry Willow dress which was accented with a black belt which sat just above her bump.

Her look was paired with black knee-high boots, large statement earrings and nail polish which matched her dress.

Dannii was the most stylish judge on the X Factor last year, and I’m sure she’s going to impress us with her maternity style.

Dannii will continue to work right up until the final of Australia’s Got Talent at the end of April before she gives birth to her first child in July.

New Michael Jackson album in November

TMZ has confirmed the Michael Jackson estate has signed the biggest deal ever in music -- worth up to $250 million with a guarantee of $200 million.

The estate made the deal with Sony Music Entertainment. According to the Associated Press, the contract is for 10 projects over seven years.

One album will debut in November, which contains never-before released recordings. We're told Jackson left enough material for at least three albums of fresh material.

A source tells TMZ the royalty rate on foreign sales is the key to the deal -- and 2/3 of the sales of MJ records traditionally have been outside the U.S.

And we're told Sony gets a two-year extension for the right to distribute the Michael Jackson catalog -- to 2017.

The deal was brokered by John Branca and John McClain, executors of the MJ estate.

Vampire Weekend Perform "Holiday" On Jimmy Fallon

Will the Vampire Weekend promo blitz ever end? Number one on the album charts isn’t enough for these guys or their label. I guess it’s the “strike while the iron is hot” maxim because you may be yesterday’s news tomorrow. This is the latest volley from the band in the late night TV arena, last Friday night’s appearance on Fallon.

Zenescope Brings Charmed to Comics

Zenescope Entertainment has officially announced they have obtained the comic book and graphic novel publishing rights to the television property CHARMED (1998-2006) created by Constance M. Burge from Spelling Entertainment, under license from CBS Consumer Products.

The comic book publisher, known for beautiful, sultry and strong female characters, has now added three more to the mix. The ultra-popular CHARMED television series aired for eight seasons on The WB network and averaged more than 4 million viewers throughout its run.

Zenescope's comic book series will feature a brand new storyline which picks up where the television series left off. The story follows the Halliwell sisters, a beautiful trio descended from a line of powerful but good witches, as they battle against evil beings in modern day San Francisco.

Attached to write the new comic book series is author Paul Ruditis, who has written several Charmed novels such as Leo Rising (with Constance M. Burge) and As Puck Would Have It. Co-writing with Ruditis will be Raven Gregory, writer of the acclaimed Wonderland trilogy published by Zenescope. Renowned artist Dave Hoover (Captain America, The Wanderers) will be providing interior illustrations for the series.

"The key to this series success is to strike a nice balance in creating a brand new, intriguing storyline for fans of the television show while also not alienating Zenescope and comic book readers who haven't really followed it before but might want to now that it's a comic," said Zenescope Editor-in-Chief Ralph Tedesco. "The great thing is that Paul and Raven have done just that with this story arc. Anybody will be able to pick up this series and follow it whether or not they ever watched the show before. Moreover, fans of the show are going to be thrilled when they see where this story goes."

Issue #0 is scheduled for a June release with issue #1 to debut at Comic Con International in San Diego this July.

more Halloween III news

In an interview with Fangoria, Tom Atkins, known from his roles in NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, THE FOG & the original HALLOWEEN 3 (1982) reveals that he, Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer plan to collaborate yet again (first in the upcoming movie Drive Angry - being released in 2011) —on the much-discussed HALLOWEEN III.

The third entry in the new Michael Myers franchise, begun by Rob Zombie, hit a snag with the Weinstein Company a little while back, and the actor says, “They’re still looking for the money, but it’s pretty much set to go this December or early next year. Me and Scout Taylor-Compton are both going to do it.” And his role in the sequel? “Sort of like a Dr. Frankenstein—‘It’s aliiiiive!’ No, I’m a shrink in a mental hospital that Laurie [Taylor-Compton] is in with a bunch of other girls who have been up to no good. I’m trying to help them find a way to the light.”

If you are thinking this might be a remake of the original Halloween III, think again. The original Halloween III had nothing to do with Michael Myers. The new Halloween III, if ever made, will be an original sequel to the Rob Zombie remake Halloween and Halloween II.

Also, apparently the film was in the "could be shelved" status last fall, and Todd Farmer wrote a blog about his involvement with Halloween III, which gave insight of how Halloween III may or may not happen. "I’ve been doing this Hollywood thing since ‘96.  When I got here I was happy and loved movies and loved people…now I’m just a big dark pit of hate.  When dealing with producers and executives there’s always this guarded nature. " You can read that blog here

Scout Taylor-Compton said over stickam that she would like to play Laurie again, if the script is good. The original ONTD post can be read here.

American: The Bill Hicks Story Trailer Online - SXSW Premiere

SXSW: Have Your Perceptions Changed By American: The Bill Hicks Story - By Josh Tyler: 2010-03-15 17:53:49

The UK filmmakers responsible for American: The Bill Hicks Story explain their film’s title as a question, a question they hope people will ask when they see it on the poster. Though almost without a doubt one of the greatest, most poignant stand-up comics ever to take the stage, Hicks never found widespread fame in America. Their hope is that the legions of potential fans who still haven’t discovered him will see the poster and wonder what it is about Hicks that makes him such a quintessential American. Who is this guy who they’re claiming as one of us? He’s Bill Hicks and even though he’s been dead for more than a decade, his comedy could change your life.

But American: The Bill Hicks Story is more than just a series of great stand-up moments from Bill, though it contains plenty of those. The film successfully charts the course he took to become the man he was, to hone the sharp, funny, social commentary he brought to the stage. Perhaps most importantly, it does that without being boring.

The biggest problem with making a documentary about someone who’s dead is that they’re not there to put up on screen. Normally this results in a series of interviews with people who knew the subject, but whom we the audience don’t care about and thus have no real interest in watching up there on screen as they hog the subject’s glory. Directors Matt Harlock and Paul Thomas have solved this problem with technology. Using a vast archive of photos taken of Bill throughout his life, they’ve created what is essentially an animated slideshow of Bill’s life. As the people who knew him speak about the places he went and the things he did, Thomas and Harlock show Bill up there on screen doing them. In some cases they have actual photos to animate, in others they use computer generated imagery with actual photos of Bill skillfully superimposed into the scene to make it look like he’s really there. It’s kind of like those commercials where they resurrect dead actors and force them to become pitchmen for their product. Except in this case it’s much more simply done and the people doing it aren’t pure fucking evil. Seriously, if you’re in advertising, kill yourself. A message from Bill Hicks.

Animating their documentary in this way not only keeps the audience awake, it draws you into the story of Bill’s life. It comes alive in creating a complete portrait of how he became the brilliant social commentator and comedian he was. And when there’s a lull in the documentary’s story telling, no problem, they have Bill. If nothing else American: The Bill Hicks Story is worth seeing for the numerous minutes of Bill Hicks performances shown in the film. Even now, fifteen or twenty years later, Bill kills. His message is as relevant now, or perhaps more relevant now, than it was then. He stalks the stage railing against injustice and our own fucking stupidity. He pleads with his audience for logic and common sense, wandering the country begging people to listen. While he was alive, all too few in America did. Now’s your chance. See this movie. Force people you know to see it with you. Drag them kicking, and screaming. Bill Hicks needs your help. For more info on the film visit AmericantheMovie

But Bill can make a case for his brilliance better than a lowly hack like I can. See the movie, you’ll know what I mean. In the meantime, I’ll shut the hell up and let Bill speak for himself.
Ladies and gentlemen, Bill Hicks:

After the film directors Matt Harlock and Paul Thomas took the stage. They were joined by Bill Hicks’ brother Steve. Bill’s mother was in the audience as well. It was clear they were emotional about the film. I also got a sense of great pride in Steve’s voice when talking about his brother and Steve and his family’s desire to spread Bill’s message.

Steve said there is 150 hours of never before seen video of Bill Hicks performing, over 200 hours of never released audio and a shoebox filled with tapes of Bill’s music recorded while he was on the road. Steve went to Abbey Road and mastered all of the music and he expects around Fall of 2010 we’ll be seeing some of all this unreleased material start to be put out there.

If you want to hear about the life of a blazingly funny comedian who died too soon, who was way ahead of his time, and who roasted Jay Leno for being the corporate whore he is a long time ago, you need to see this film.

Exclusive: Summit looking at Academy Award-nominated directors for 'Breaking Dawn'

Yes, it’s still early days, but Summit is trying to up its pedigree for its big-screen adaptation of the final installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. Sources tell EW that the studio has reached out to at least three top-notch directors, including Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation), Gus Van Sant (Milk), and Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) to gauge their interest in what is likely to be two movies. (Van Sant’s reps confirmed that he’s been approached, but Coppola and Condon’s people didn’t return phone calls by press time. Summit declined to comment.)

No decisions are likely to be made until the studio delivers screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg’s detailed outline to the directors. That should happen sometime next week. Until then we can just wonder how these three very diverse directors will approach Bella’s controversial birthing scene.

Avatar will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 22

"Avatar" may be the ultimate big-screen experience, but how will it fit into the living rooms of America?

That's the challenge presented to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, which on Tuesday will announce some unconventional plans for the DVD and Blu-ray release of the highest-grossing film in the history of Hollywood box office.

"Avatar" will hit stores on April 22, and instead of a disc loaded with extras, it will be just the opposite -- a lean-and-mean approach with only the movie and a relatively simple menu function, a move made to exploit every bit of disc space for the top-of-the-line audio and video presentation of the film, according to the movie's producer, Jon Landau.

In fact, according to sources at Fox, "Avatar" will make history as the first Blu-ray new release from a major studio to hit stores without a single trailer or promotional content of any kind.

You may not be familiar with the School Gyrls just yet, but they’re a new three-piece tween girl group created by Nick Cannon and signed to his NCredible Entertainment label. They haven’t exactly hit the big time yet, but they just had their own movie released on Nickelodeon which co-starred Justin Bieber and Kristinia DeBarge.

They’re also working on an album, and the latest single to be lifted from it is the urban-pop club banger “Get Like Me” that was penned by Nick and his superstar wife Mariah Carey, and actually features Mariah on some "sexy" background vocals.

Gaga's Jail Yard Girlfriend Speaks

Heather Cassils, a performance artist, personal trainer, and the woman who was cast as Lady Gaga's jail yard girlfriend and make out partner in the "Telephone" video just gave an interview to Out magazine about how she was cast for the clip, her thoughts on representations of queer women in the media, and making out with the most famous woman in the world.

I cut out a few of the better bits for the tl;dr crowd but the whole interview is actually really really thoughtful:

Out: Were you familiar with Gaga's work before you were cast for the shoot?
Heather Cassils: I was not a totally massive fan per se, but my background and training is as an artist, and I did notice she was bringing a lot of elements of performance art into her pop cultural practice. And she has referenced people like Leigh Bowery and feminist performances, so I was aware of that, and that's what caught my eye about her more than anything else -- as well as the fact that she was doing something different and presenting herself differently from other pop stars who have been around in the last little while.

How did you get cast in the video?
I got cast because I work as a personal trainer. I run my own independent contracting business, and I run it out of a gay gym in Silver Lake. There's a woman at my gym named Dallas, and she's also kind of an aspiring actress of sorts, and she had been called in to play one of the guards. She called me up from the casting and said they were desperate for bodybuilders, and she told them, "There's this person at my gym who's not a pro bodybuilder, but she has a really cut physique," and she suggested I'd be perfect for it. So I went down and auditioned -- but I'm not hormones or anything like that -- so they ended up casting me as an inmate in the prison scene. They were blocking the scene, and the woman who was blocking for Gaga disappeared, and Gaga came out, and she just kind of instantly called me over, and it just happened like that. She called me over and asked me to portray her girlfriend and said, "OK, you're going to be my prison girlfriend, and you're going to come to me, and I'd like you to touch me inappropriately." [Laughs] We just kind of went from there.

So, it just happened right there on the spot?
Yeah. It was a very strange, organic Los Angeles moment.

What was Gaga like on set?
She was extremely professional and very, very funny. After we did the [kissing] shot, she screamed across the yard to me, "I think you got me pregnant!" [Laughs] She was also very present and real. She took the time to ask people what they did for a living and who they were and where they were from. She was a very genuine, grounded person.

OK -- let's get to the juicy stuff: What was the kiss like?
I think we did several takes -- to be honest, it was a little bit of a blur because it happened so quickly. On the first, take her cigarette sunglasses were steaming a little bit, but by the third or fourth take we were both inhaling a lot of secondhand smoke [Laughs]. It was kind of intense. And it just kind of happened naturally because she didn't really give me explicit instructions to kiss her -- it just felt like a natural thing to do. In fact, I sniffed her like a kind of aggressive beast. And as we got closer, she actually put her tongue in my mouth. She just went for it. [Laughs] It was really good.

JWOWW Vows: There Is No Way I'm Going Bigger!

Jenni Farley promises she won't be adding any more wow to JWOWW. In the wake of (false) Internet reports of another boob job, the 'Jersey Shore' star known as JWOWW says she's more than happy with her current size.

"Going bigger would not work for me," JWOWW tells PopEater, speaking over the music at the pool party at the Tropicana.

To put the issue to rest, the reality star believes her current surgically-enhanced size is just right -- knocking back critics who say they are already a tad obvious. "They look big," says JWOWW. "But I have such a wide upper frame that they actually are in proportion." haha what?

But she's dealing with the fallout from the enhancement rumors: "I don't know how this got so far along," JWOWW says of the incorrect reports. "I actually started laughing when I read that. I'm the same size, same everything."

The rumor might have started when she talked previously about a replacement procedure, which she says is needed every ten years. If she does go back under the knife, she'd only change one thing. "I was considering getting silicone instead of saline," she says. "When I got this done, I was under the age of 22, where you are only legally allowed saline."

Oscar Theory #5: Win Best Actress, Get Divorced

Oscar Theory #5: Win Best Actress, Get Divorced

Over the past nine years, a slightly disturbing trend has emerged for whoever ascends the stage, teary-eyed, to collect the Best Actress statue. Almost all the winners in this time period have gotten divorced, or called off super long-term relationships that seemed to have no expiration date. And none of these breakups were exactly amicable.

  • Benjamin Bratt was the lucky man on Julia Roberts’ arm when she won the Oscar for her role in “Erin Brockovich” in 2001. Three months later their relationship was over—he went on to marry Talisa Soto, while she’s had three kids with husband Danny Moder. She’s yet to be nominated for a second time, so hopefully this relationship is safe.
  • The second actress to fall victim to this trend? Halle Berry, who won Best Actress in 2002 for “Monster’s Ball.” She’d been dating hot musician Eric Benet for years, and the two got hitched in 2001. Shortly after winning her Best Actress Oscar, Benet started cheating on her and allegedly went to sex addiction rehab. But it wasn’t enough—the couple separated in 2003 and divorced in 2005.

  • Infamously, Hilary Swank forgot to thank her hubby Chad Lowe, brother of Rob, when she won Best Actress in 2000 for her role as Brandon Teena in “Boys Don’t Cry.” Still, Chad seemed ultra supportive of her, and they were the ultimate down-to-earth Hollywood couple. They had just crossed the 13-years-together mark when Hilary won again in 2005, for “Million Dollar Baby,” and she made sure to thank him, first thing. The two divorced a year later. Rumors circulated that he couldn’t handle the level of success she’d found.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe met at her 21st birthday party—she supposedly walked up to him and said, “I think you’re my birthday present”—and got married less than a year later. Reese had already popped out two kidlets seven years later, when she won Best Actress for her role in “Walk the Line,” and the pair seemed forevers. Nope. They split eight months after she gave her acceptance speech. Many assume Ryan was cheating on her with Abbie Cornish.

Collapse )The one piece of good news in this equation—last year’s Best Actress winner, Kate Winslet, is adorably married to director Sam Mendes. Still, married gals Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, and Meryl Streep better watch out. Especially Sandra, since we have a hunch she is going to win. We’d really hate to see her and Jesse James dunzo.

Actor James McAvoy can't miss birth of million dollar baby

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Actor James McAvoy (Atonement, Wanted) has reportedly turned down a role (and one hefty paycheck) to prepare for the biggest role of his life: becoming a dad. According the U.K.’s Telegraph, McAvoy, 30, has pulled out of the film I’m With Cancer because the timing of the shoot (which began the first week of March in Canada) may have interfered with the birth of his first child.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

McAvoy and his wife, 39-year-old actress Ann-Marie Duff (The Last Station) are expecting the arrival of their first child very soon. A friend of McAvoy’s told the Telegraph, “James wants to be there when his baby’s born.”

McAvoy’s decision to bail on the project reportedly cost the Scottish actor a pretty penny. The role allegedly would have paid a “seven-figure sum.” What a dilemma, but what a noble choice!

McAvoy’s Cancer castmate and producer, Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), had this to say: “It’s incredibly unfortunate that circumstances outside of everyone’s control have taken James away from the project. We all look forward to working with James in the future.”

In light of McAvoy’s departure, (500) Days of Summer star Joseph Gordon-Levitt has stepped in to take over the role in the comedy, according to The film also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Anjelica Huston, and recent Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air).

TV Ratings Monday

Against weaker than normal competition, both House and Chuck dropped 17 percent in adults 18-49 versus last week. House dropped to a 4.0 rating and Chuck sunk to a 1.9.

With CBS in repeats other than a new episode of Rules of Engagement, and ABC running a 20/20 special on The Bachelor and a repeat of Castle, it might have been a night for FOX and NBC to feast but it was not to be.

24 was down from last week too, but only one-tenth of an adults 18-49 ratings point.

Even in reruns CBS’s 9pm comedy block performed. Law & Order lost to a repeat of CSI: Miami and tied with a repeat of Castle.

But while things were bad for NBC and FOX at 8pm, things looked up for Life Unexpected which delivered its best numbers since it’s second week on January 25 ( women 18-34 (1.8/6), adults 18-34 (1.3/4), women 18-49 (1.4/4) and total viewers (2.11mil).

Music Video Pioneer Michel Gondry on Lady Gaga: 'I'm Not Interested'

Michel Gondry has made some of the most indelible music videos of all time for some of the biggest acts of the last two decades, including Radiohead, Björk, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes, Beck and even Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones. So when Movieline caught up with him today to discuss his forthcoming documentary Thorn in the Heart, it seemed a great opportunity to feel him out on the new vanguard of the form: Lady Gaga, whose epic awful “Telephone” video has swept popular culture with a fury, frenzy and inspiration not seen since the glory days of which Gondry himself was a part. His response — which swept through genre monoliths from Michael Jackson to Madonna to Marilyn Manson — was unexpected to say the least.

“I’m not interested,” he said. “To me it’s like a form of Marilyn Manson. It’s hard for me to talk about it; I’ve seen a couple of videos of hers, and not for very long. I stop watching them each time because I don’t think there’s melodies. I’m sorry to be negative. Like I’m not a big fan of Madonna. I respect her very much, but unfortunately the videos didn’t help the music in the long run. Well, I guess it helped it to survive to the point where the video was irrelevant. So music has to find its own way, which is good for the music. It becomes smaller and more alive and it’s not as crazy, except for some R&B. To me, it’s just talking about the surface. I compare it to Marilyn Manson. The music to me is very expected. I don’t think there’s anything in the tone or the melody that makes me say, ‘Oh, there’s something going on.’

“And I like commercial music,” Gondry continued. “Michael Jackson will always be my favorite pop musician; he was for years and years until his death, which was horrible to me. So I like pop culture. But to me, even if it’s popular, there is a quality in the music you have to be able to appreciate. And I don’t see it. Her melodies are very conventional. I remember when my friend and I would argue about Killing Joke. I remember him saying, ‘It’s so great!’ But I said, ‘It’s so conventional! How can you find anything original? It’s just surface!’ I don’t know, maybe the comparison is ridiculous. But the melody was very, very flat. That’s probably why they are famous. But maybe it’s considered high art just because of the way she dresses?” (YESSSS)

That raised the question of the decline of the music video overall, the foundational art form that MTV has essential banished from network.

“But you know, in 1999 or 2000, MTV and VH1 did the 100 Best Videos of All Time — two different selections — and I had zero videos in either of them,” Gondry said. “So when people tell me I’m the ‘MTV Generation,’ I just say, ‘No.’ I never won any MTV [Video Music Awards]. Oh, except for one for a video I did for Massive Attack, actually, and I lost it. My producer was furious. He wanted to put it in his office. But I loved videos. I remember watching videos very late at night — Michael Jackson videos. The first rap videos were amazing: Run-DMC, Tone Loc, all of that was just amazing. The Beastie Boys videos were always great. But then it became very stereotyped. There was this confusion. Also: The MTV Video Awards were never about the video, but about the song. Most of the time it was just to glorify people for the wrong reason.”

Got it — and there’s more where that came from. Look for it here at Movieline as Thorn in the Heart’s April 2 release date approaches.

A bunch of people inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Genesis has the invisible touch. Not so much Iggy Pop and the Stooges.

After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Waldorf Astoria in New York tonight, Iggy stayed true to form, ripping off his shirt and tearing into "Search and Destroy," his 62-year-old abs rippling as always.

"Let's f--k it up!" the Michigan-born, seemingly moon-bred rocker shouted as he took the stage after Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong did the induction honors.

"Come on, you're not too rich to be cool!" Pop urged the largely staid, tuxedo-clad crowd, eventually getting Armstrong and Eddie Vedder to join him onstage for "I Wanna Be Your Dog."

Phish performed Genesis' "Watcher of the Skies" and "No Reply at All," then Trey Anastasio introduced the British prog-rockers turned chart-friendly popsters. Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Michael Rutherford were in attendance.

As for their onetime frontman's absence, Rutherford said that Peter Gabriel was sorry to miss the big night.

"He has a very legitimate and genuine excuse," he said. "He's actually starting a tour." An "orchestral tour," Collins added backstage.

Genesis wasn't the only group missing a few members. ABBA cofounders Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog weren't there, either. (Mamma Mia! star Meryl Streep was, though!)

The Bee Gees' Barry and Robin Gibb inducted the Swedish pop group.

Jackson Browne was on hand to induct megaproducer David Geffen, Wyclef Jean inducted reggae artist Jimmy Cliff, and Steven Van Zandt did the honors for the Manchester-originating pop band the Hollies.

Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa, Chris Isaak, Adam Levine, the Animals' Eric Burdon, Train's Pat Monahan, Faith Hill, Jesse Carmichael and Ronnie Spector also made the scene.

Kaitlin Olson is expecting

There will be a new addition to "the gang" this summer – It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney are expecting their first child in August, the couple's rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"Rob and I are so excited it's stupid," Olson says in a statement. "The last couple years have been pretty amazing for us and just when we thought things couldn't get any better, the greatest little thing in the world happened! We're totally beside ourselves."

Olson, 34, and McElhenney, 32, married in Sept. 2008 in Malibu, Calif.

FX cult hit It's Always Sunny, which McElhenney created and executive produces, will return for its sixth season in September. Olson most recently appeared in Leap Year as the best friend of Amy Adams.

Update about Captain America's leading lady

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It was previously reported that Steve Rogers' love interest was Betsy Ross but Deadline is reporting the love interest is Peggy Carter:

UPDATE: Marvel Studios is also testing leads for the female role of Peggy Carter. While Marvel is looking for an American actor to play Captain America, the candidates for the female lead are British. So far, Keira Knightley, Alice Eve and Emily Blunt are under consideration. Blunt is known to be a favorite of Marvel brass. She was offered the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, until Fox exercised an option it held on the actress and put her into Gulliver's Travels. Scarlett Johansson took the role.

More info about the love interest:

The female role is that of Peggy Carter, a girlfriend of Captain America during World War II. She was also an American agent serving with the French Resistance. She has standard military training and is handy with a gun. She is also a competent spy and detective. Her niece Sharon Carter becomes a prominent figure later on in Captain's life as she works for The Avengers and occasionally dates Steve Rogers.

What do you think, ONTD? My money is on Alice Eve. Keira is far too expensive for those cheap fucks at Marvel and going from Black Widow to Peggy is such a downgrade for Blunt (plus she's Catwoman okay).

And then how after May Kadoody resigned in disgrace, the Valley Village anti-gay marriage law was overturned so that gigantic, orange, gay couple Brian and Steve could finally get married?

You don't? Well that's what recently happened on The Sarah Silverman Program (currently airing on Comedy Central and Logo), a week after Brian and Steve battled the ghost of a guy they accidentally murdered with a TV remote. When Brian and Steve got married, they bumped fists instead of kissing. Because that's what happens in a world where gays are also part-time ghostbusters.

Here's what Brian Posehn and Steve Agee, the guys who play "Brian" and "Steve," have to say about some of that stuff:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Actress and Sam Mendes fell out after making movie about a failing marriage

Kate Winslet's marriage to Sam Mendes hit the rocks after they made a movie
together about a couple who break up, friends said last night.

Months of stormy rows followed the filming of Revolutionary Road, in which
Mendes directed his wife co-starring with Leonardo DiCaprio.

They culminated in a joint statement by the couple confirming they had parted.

'The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement,' it said. 'Both
parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.'

A friend of 34-year-old Miss Winslet said she now plans to divorce Mendes, who
is ten years her senior, saying: 'That's it, it is final.'

Megan Fox: a Disciplinarian Step-Mom?

Megan Fox is trying to be the best stepmom-to-be for her fiancé Brian Green’s son Kassius from actress Vanessa Marcil and even feels guilty every time she has to leave the kid for shooting her films.

According to, Megan Fox says, “Sometimes I get sad because I'm out of town a lot. Brian works, but he's always in town but I have to travel a lot and sometimes that's hard because it'll be weeks and weeks without seeing Cash (Kassius), and that's sad. Luckily, he's used to it, because both of his parents are in the business. And it's not so hard on him, but I feel guilty a lot."

The Transformers actress says she’s the disciplinarian at home because Brian feels bad about punishing his son. Fox added, “I was raised in the South and my mom was a strict disciplinarian. It's really easy for me to lay out the rules and make sure that the rules are followed constantly, but I think because he's from a home with divorced parents, it's hard for Brian to punish him. He feels bad that Cash has to always go through the transition in switching homes."

David Cook Will Attempt To Not Kill A Rolling Stones Song

Fred Bronson of @Idolsnow is reporting that David Cook will sing the Rolling Stone’s “Jumping Jack Flash” on Wednesday’s results show…

For thos poor unfortunate souls on ONTD who have never been graced with the amazingness that is The Rolling Stones, here is "Jumping Jack Flash"

I have faith that he will not murder this song as he did well with songs while he was on Idol.
I'm not surprised by this as David has no new single or record to promote and the Stones are too good for Ai.

X Factor stars John & Edward have been dropped by their record company Sony after the performance of their debut single disappointed bosses.

The pair's first release 'Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)' - a collaboration with rapper Vanilla Ice - only managed to enter the UK chart at number two last month before dropping to 12 a week later.

A Sony source told The Sun: "We tried our best to make the lads credible recording artists but punters just weren't that bothered.

"They are great lads but haven't got the greatest voices, so they're something to see rather than listen to.

"Record companies are going through major upheaval so we have to be very careful what we throw our weight behind. I'm sure Jedward will be able to make a buck touring as a novelty act."

John & Edward's manager Louis Walsh confirmed the news last night but insisted that he remains "completely committed" to the twins.

He added: "The boys have a sell-out tour in Ireland straight after The X Factor tour in April and I'm in talks with a major record label about a new deal for them."

Courtney Love - Vogue Italia

The consummate rockstar, she's always approached everything at full speed: her life, her looks and her music. She has a daughter with Kurt Cobain with whom she had a love affair and shared a passion for excess. She's proved to be a talented actress in the film The People vs. Larry Flynt, in a role that earned her a Golden Globe nomination

Courtney Love.

Good Stories
Her parents separated when she was only five; she lived with her mother but spent most of her time in reforms schools and detention centers. At 15 she became a stripper and later on started her first band, Sugar Babylon.

When still a teenager, she left the US for Dublin, where she met Julian Cope, the leader of the post-punk scene in Liverpool. Courtney lived in Liverpool for a while before moving to London.
The alcohol and drug abuse dates back to this period, and it will worsen when she goes back to America and when she met Kurt Cobain, leader of Nirvana. To be with him she separated from her first husband, James Moreland.

The relationship with Kurt - they were married in 1992 - is marked by jealousy and excess (when Courtney got pregnant, he overdosed for the first time) but also by great moments of inspiration: Kurt writes Heart-Shaped Box for her, Courtney answers back with Malibu.

The couple have a daughter together, Frances Bean, and it's mainly because of her that Courtney tried to quit drugs: she adores her and doesn't want to lose custody.

In 2005 she was sentenced to six months in rehab for violating the law on possession and use of illegal substances.

In December 2010 Frances Bean asked to be entrusted to the care of Wendy O' Connor, Kurt's mother. The Judge issues a restraining order according to which Courtney is forbidden to go near her daughter. Courtney is furious.

Jen Garner goes to the doctor's office; the source jumps to conclusions

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Looky who we spotted leaving a doctors office in Beverly Hills this week.

It’s Jennifer Garner! Now we’re not ones to jump to any conclusions here, but what if this doctors visit had something to do with those early signs of a baby bump?

Could her and Ben Affleck have been getting busy again?

The two already have two children together, both daughters, Violet and Seraphina.

Garner is enjoying the success of her latest flick, Valentines day, while she gears up for her next film that she will also be producing. Butter, a comedy, will have her co-starring as an ambitious butter sculptress from the Midwest who goes up against a 12-year-old newbie carver in a local contest.

The film has yet to be cast, but there are talks going on with Jim Carrey and Kate Hudson, according to reports.

Butter sculpting! Who knew?

Wayne Coyne Shows Up on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

He helps build a house

Wayne Coyne: Flaming Lips frontman, fearless freak... and good Samaritan! As the Flaming Lips' Twitter points out, Wayne appeared on the ABC television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on Sunday night. Though his face-time on the show was quite brief (he only showed up on camera at the very end, cracking a bad "Do You Realize??" pun), Wayne's contribution was valuable. You can watch the full episode here.

If you aren't familiar with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", be warned: unless you have a heart of stone, it will make you cry. The premise is that in each episode, host Ty Pennington and his gang of designers, contractors, and builders (including the rapper Xzibit!) build a new house for a needy family, with the aid of an army of community volunteers. In Sunday's episode, Wayne Coyne was one of those volunteers, helping construct a new house for his fellow Oklahomans, the Skaggs family. You get to see him walking around with a hard hat on, carrying armloads of sod. (Yes, I am tearing up as I write this.)

And speaking of Wayne Coyne and extreme home makeovers... have you seen his own house?

Blind Item

This once B/C actress once had a promising future and was rocketing to the top. Now, she is throwing her life away every chance she gets. Her self-destructive habits might have gotten her attention in the past, also endangering the lives of others, but now she’s putting on a whole show of a mess for random people to see. Not only is she dragging those around her into substance abuse, she’s also been driving under the influence, stealing from friends, and having others pick up her messes. Most recently we hear she’s been fond of Chatroulette, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal because she’s been dressing up and disguising herself. Except that once her identity is discovered, she’ll be in big trouble. You’ll know her by the illegal activities she is doing online for everyone to see, and she’s almost always completely high when she does them. It won’t be long until the world hears about her little secret life. Not Mischa Barton.

Another woman says Terry Richardson is 'Really Creepy'

Will Terry Richardson become the Tiger Woods of fashion? Where after one woman who feels wronged by him comes forward, fifteen follow? Last week, Rie Rasmussen told the Post that Richardson manipulated young girls into doing nude shoots they'd sooner or later find shameful. This week, another of his subjects comes forward with detailed accounts of what her Terry Richardson experience was like. Jamie Peck writes on The Gloss that she's "not a model, just a vain girl with nice tits who likes to pose for the occasional cheesecake photo." She posed for Richardson when she was 19, and he did not fall into the same category as "all the fine folks I’ve frolicked au naturel for," she writes. "He’s the only one who’s left me feeling like I needed to take two showers."

After meeting Richardson at a party, claims Peck, where she posed for him the first time, she went over to his studio for a second shoot. He made her tea, and then she danced around naked while the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album played on repeat and he took her picture. He asked her to call him Uncle Terry, and she did, so as not to seem like a fun spoiler.

All of that was fine, but the second time Peck went over to his studio for a shoot "was the weird one." And then her post starts reading like a Sex Diary:

Before I could say “whoa, whoa, whoa!” dude was wearing only his tattoos and waggling the biggest dick I’d ever seen dangerously close to my unclothed person (granted, I hadn’t seen very many yet). “Why don’t you take some pictures of me?” he asked. Um, sure.

So his assistants took pictures of me taking pictures of him. All the while, he was dropping names like they were hot, casually mentioning his upcoming Miu Miu shoot with Maggie Gyllenhall [sic] and Billy Crudup, wondering aloud if he could get the kid from Elephant to model, and suggesting I come upstate with him and his fab celebufriends. I wish I could say this didn’t impress me, but I was fucking 19 and nerdy as hell, okay?

Peck alleges that he got her to perform sexual favors and offered her a signed print as payment, which she declined to accept since she "felt so gross about the whole thing." She never went back, but she later heard her picture wound up in Purple, which is edited by Richardson's guy Friday, Olivier Zahm.

Kstew & Julianne Moore To Co-Star In Apocalypse Movie

“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart–so good as Joan Jett in “The Runaways” and in “Welcome to the Rileys”– has her next project lined up.

Stewart will co-star with Julianne Moore in “Backwoods.” Sources say the film, directed by Moore’s husband, Bart Freundlich, concerns the end of the world.

“Backwoods,” still to be fully cast, should start sometime this summer. By then, Stewart will be starring in “Twilight:Eclipse.”

Freundlich has three features under his belt including a gem called “The Myth of Fingerprints.” He also recently directed four episodes of “Californication” for Showtime.

Moore, who was denied an Oscar nomination for her wonderful work in “A Single Man,” opens shortly in Atom Egoyan’s “Chloe,” with Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried.

The menschy Moore also pays a rare visit to her alma mater, the CBS soap “As the World Turns,” on April 5th, to help celebrate her fictional parents’ (Don Hastings, Kathryn Hays) anniversary and give a nod to the 54 year old soap’s scheduled end this fall.

Moore won a Daytime Emmy playing lookalike cousins on the show. She will only play one for the return. What happened to the other one? “I’m not in touch with her,” the four time Oscar nominee quipped at the “Chloe” premiere last night in New York.

She says she loved being reunited with her soap family, including 92 year old show matriarch Helen Wagner, who plays her grandmother. “She’s still giving us acting tips,” Moore recalls.

One Life to Live's Brett Claywell: The end of Kish

Last December, "One Life to Live" broke new ground when they aired the first gay sex scene in daytime television. You read that right: the soap opera format has been around since people were gathering around their radios, and it took until December of 2009 for a gay couple to do the deed.

Three short months later, the couple in question -- Oliver "Fish" (Scott Evans) and Kyle (Brett Claywell) -- have been written off the show. According to TV Guide, ABC says that the duo "failed to resonate with the mainstream audience," because ratings were "particularly dismal" when Fish came out of the closet.

To say that fans of the couple are upset about Kyle and Fish's abrupt exit would be an understatement. Fans have signed petitions, established the "Save Kish" and "Don't Put Kish in the Closet" campaigns, and even planned a rally outside the "Good Morning America" studios in NYC.

Meanwhile, rumors have spread like wildfire. A Canadian publication printed that Scott Evans and Brett Claywell were let go because of a lack of commitment and too much partying. In a statement, Claywell told Soap Opera Digest "It's so false it's slander. Scott and I were nothing but professional and completely 100 percent dedicated to our work." Otherwise, Evans and Claywell have been quiet about the situation, keeping their comments confined to a handful of tweets.

Tuesday (Mar. 16), Claywell spoke to Zap2it about his experience at "One Life to Live" and the truth behind the layoffs.

Kendra reveals cocaine past

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Opening up about her struggles growing up, Kendra Wilkinson has divulged details of her past in hopes of steering youngsters away from making the same wrong decisions.

During the taping of her E! True Hollywood Story, the 24-year-old beauty delved into her former drug abuse and suicidal thoughts - telling that she fell into the wrong crowd and started experimenting with cocaine at the young age of 13.

She tells, "All of a sudden they broke out this white stuff. I did it, and I started feeling this big ball of chalk going down my throat and I was like 'what is this ****! Ew this is so gross.'. After that I started feeling pretty good. That was the start of my drug days."

With her mother Patti then admitting her into a psychiatric facility at the age of 15, Kendra tells, "It was crazy in that place. A lot of those kids were suicidal like me and we didn’t see daylight. We weren’t allowed outside. It was basically a jail, but it was a hospital."

Continuing on, the former "Girls Next Door" star tells, "I think it made me worse because in my heart I didn’t want to change. People were forcing me, and that’s something that does not work with me."

Still hooked on illegal substances while a sophomore in high school, Kendra confesses, "I was still on drugs. I met a guy and I ended up running away with him. All throughout sophomore year I lived with this guy and I did drugs for that long. Every day, every minute."

Fortunately enough, Miss Wilkinson was able to straighten out her life - as she's now a healthy mother and married to football player Hank Baskett.

For those who wish to see Kendra's story, tune into her True Hollywood Story premiering on E! this Wednesday (March 17) at 10PM EST.

Douche King is not leaving the Hills

Contrary to a Monday report, the Hills star is not leaving his hit MTV show to work for the cyber security division at American Defense Enterprise, a source tells
"All of that stuff about him leaving The Hills to fight cyber crime is not true," the insider insists.
The real story? "He is leaving The Hills for 6 weeks because he was asked to."
The source explains that Pratt, 26, recently "flipped out" on the show's set after a female producer made a request to which he objected.
"He got so crazy that he screamed at [her], 'I should kill you for even asking me to do that!'" the source recounts.
"Very rattled" by Pratt's outburst, the producer filed a complaint with the show's top producers -- who then threatened to kick Pratt off the show
Pratt's team went back with a compromise: "the show agreed that Spencer would leave The Hills for six weeks to do anger management training once a week at home. If he completes it, he can return to the show."

It was recently announced that Pratt is no longer the manager for his wife, Heidi Montag. This week, Montag, 23, is set to film a cameo in her first feature film, Just Go With It, starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.

Lesner had been watching the debate on government health care and had something to add. He said he fell ill in Canada, was taken to a Manitoba hospital, and lay around for over 48 hours while doctors tried to track down a spare part to fix their one, broken CT machine. Eventually, his wife bundled him into the car and drove him to a North Dakota hospital, where he got an immediate CT scan, a diagnosis of diverticulitis, and treatment that saved his life. Lesner said he loves the people of Canada, and the hunting, but he wants to tell all Americans: you do not want Canadian-style government-run health care. If it could nearly kill the toughest man in the world, think what it could do to you.

Gus Van Sant could direct Breaking Dawn?

Apparently, it might happen.

From Entertainment Weekly

Until then we can just wonder how these three very diverse directors will approach Bella’s controversial birthing scene."

Gentlemen, please! Rest your sphincters!

Comedy legend Mel Brooks is working on a musical adaptation of his 1974 hit film Blazing Saddles.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The 83-year-old director, screenwriter, actor and producer hopes to follow up the success of his stage adaptations of Young Frankenstein and The Producers.

Young Frankenstein, adapted from his Oscar-nominated 1974 film, opened on Broadway in 2007. It has been on tour since September and opens at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre on Wednesday, where it will run through April 18.

The Producers, Brooks's first feature film about two theatrical partners (Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder) who deliberately contrive the worst possible Broadway show, received an Oscar in 1968 for best original screenplay.

Brooks later turned it into a musical, which opened on Broadway in 2001, ran for 2,502 performances and received an unprecedented 12 Tony awards.

In an interview with The Canadian Press, Brooks said he has written two songs for a stage version of Blazing Saddles and is working on a third.

He said the show would explore racial prejudice, just as the film starring Wilder did, and it could be finished in the next year.

But he says Broadway may not be its first stop.

"If I did it, I wouldn't rush to New York with it because the Times would say, 'Oh dear, oh dear, another movie converted and transmogrified into a musical," he said. "The Times was only lukewarm to Young Frankenstein, but you know, everybody else was hot — some of the greatest reviews I ever got."

And although he's unsure of this show's fate, he's certain he'll continue writing for the stage in one capacity or another.

"Film takes an eternity — it takes an eternity," he said. "And there are, like, infinite collaborations, which waters down anything. But the stage is ... you throw your naked heart on the stage and they respond to it or not, and it's immediate."

I don't know anything about Broadway so I liked Young Frankenstein even though everyone said it wasn't good. But whatever, I love this man and his comedy. I LOL IRL on the daily thinking about scenes from Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein.

Gaga - the new queen of pop? Telephone director thinks she has the potential

Jonas Åkerlund has collaborated with Madonna, including on her "Ray of Light" and "Music" videos. Most recently, he worked with Lady Gaga on two of her videos: "Paparazzi" and "Telephone." Given the obvious comparisons between the two ambitious blondes, is it inevitable that Gaga should one day take over Madge's pop throne?

"I really don't like to compare the artists that I work with, because they are all so unique and so different," he told MTV News about the Gaga/Madonna similarities. "One thing for sure is that Gaga is a true artist. She's really a huge talent, and she's such a hard worker. That makes me think of Madonna, because Madonna is always such a hard worker, more than anybody else."

Josh Henderson (The Girl Next Door) will be playing “Nix,” a character who sees a halo of light around someone who is about to die. He joins the previously-cast Allison Miller (Celine) and Jessy Schram (Morgan) as well as 7th Heaven’s David Gallagher, who plays “Bleek.”

I'm kinda not happy with this casting. Nix in the book was Native American. I was hoping for one of the hot boys from New Moon. And the CW cast another good looking white guy. :O

The Dude talks about Tron Legacy

There aren't a lot of film properties that sort of crack through the veneer of my professionalism as a journalist – that tap into the fanboy hidden behind the film critic - but Tron is one of them. Since Tron: Legacy was announced two years ago, Joe Kosinski's follow-up to Steven Lisberger's groundbreaking 1982 computer-generated adventure has become the film whose release I've anticipated most, and as each new image, clip or piece of viral marketing was unveiled, my excitement continues to grow. The fact that each of these new pieces of the puzzle is beautiful and interesting only fuels my interest further – which is, of course, what distributor Disney is counting on to help propel the film to box office success when it's released on December 17, 2010.

Last summer, Disney offered an invitation to a limited number of reporters to visit the Vancouver set of Tron: Legacy, interview members of the cast and crew, and see how the production is progressing. I was lucky enough to be Cinematical's representative, and suffice it to say I was thrilled to get a chance to check out what was in store for the film. Before we actually visited the set proper, however, we spoke to none other than the star of both the original Tron and Tron: Legacy, Jeff Bridges. The man who would be Flynn gamely answered our nerdy inquiries and revealed what he could about the challenges of taking the franchise and rebooting it, in more ways than one.
