My BF, Soon-to-be Former Soap Star Scott Evans, Reacts to the End of His Run on 'One Life to Live'

"One Life to Live" deservedly won the GLAAD Media Award last night for outstanding daily drama.

Actors Scott Evans and Brett Claywell, aka Oliver Fish and Kyle Lewis, were both on hand to accept the prize which comes just days after it was learned that their groundbreaking gay love story is coming to an end.

It’s outrageous that the network or sponsors or whoever is behind this decision is allowing its only gay characters to take a fall for a dip in ratings.

Evans seems positive about his future in this red carpet interview as well he should. He’s become a big fan fave: “We told a fantastic story. Of course you feel there’s always more places it could go. … Now we’re done and moving on. I’m excited to see that’s next in store.”

Jonah Hill Says He Won't Ruin 'Moneyball,' Feels He 'Earned The Part'

Jonah Hill has certainly made a name for himself on the comedy circuit with roles in "Superbad" and the upcoming "Get Him to the Greek," but he's a significantly lesser known quantity when it comes to dramatic film fare. But Hill is taking the plunge away from comedy by signing on to star opposite Brad Pitt in director Bennett Miller's "Moneyball," currently speculated to shoot in June.

Hill is well aware that there's some skepticism from fans about
his involvement in "Moneyball" as Paul DePodesta, but the actor has a hard time believing that his participation will ruin the film.

"
Aaron Sorkin wrote the script, Bennett Miller who directed 'Capote' is directing it, and Brad Pitt is the other star besides me in the movie — and somehow, I've ruined the movie without even having done anything in it," he joked in an interview with MTV News at this weekend's South by Southwest festival. "That's how powerful my crappiness is. I mean, come on."

Clearly, Hill has some confidence in himself when it comes to "Moneyball," as the actor said that he worked very hard to land the role of DePodesta after
Demetri Martin dropped out of the movie.

"I earned the part," he said. "Every guy who is in their twenties and making movies was after that part, and it was a very tough thing. I'm really proud to have earned it, you know?"

If nothing else, Hill is very confident in the movie itself, saying that "Moneyball" is going to be well worth the wait.

"It's going to be a remarkable movie," he said. "I couldn't be more thrilled to be doing that next."

After Into the Wild, Emile Hirsch Couldn't Chicken Out on Kilimanjaro

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Emile Hirsch is best known for playing the foolhardy, adventure-seeking Christopher McCandless in the Sean Penn-directed film Into the Wild. This fact was not lost on Hirsch as he ascended Mount Kilimanjaro in January, realizing his outdoorsy cred could take a serious beating if he failed to reach the mountain's summit. Especially if Jessica Biel, Isabel Lucas, and Lupe Fiasco, who joined him on the climb, beat him to the top.

Hirsch and company climbed the 19,341-foot Tanzanian peak as part of Summit on the Summit, an effort spearheaded by Grammy-nominated recording artist Kenna to raise awareness about the billion people who don't have access to clean drinking water. A documentary following the climb airs on MTV this Sunday.

In the course of our conversation, we also discussed why he's not exactly king of the mountain in Hollywood right now, and the specific ways in which Mount Kilimanjaro is like a freshly groomed pubic area.

Father Of The Year Goes To.........

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Actor Jude Law has reportedly worked out a custody deal with his baby-mama, Samantha Burke. Read below on the agreement they reached for Law’s daughter Sophia.

Jude Law will reportedly get to see his daughter Sophia twice a year and will pay child support to Samantha Burke.

Law became a father for the fourth time in September after his fling with model Samantha Burke while he was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York.

The British actor met his daughter Sophia for the first time in February during a trip to Florida to arrange visitation and child support payments.

Law will reportedly be paying $5,000 a month in child support to Burke.

Burke also signed a confidentiality clause that will prevent her from talking to the media.

A source tells the newspaper, “Jude will visit his daughter at least twice a year, once around Christmas. His visit (to meet Sophia in February) was fleeting and seemed mainly business-like.”

Jude Law is currently dating actress Sienna Miller and has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

Twilight Recruits More Jailbait to Fill Lautner's Former Role

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

That’s right folks, Justin Chon won’t be the only actor of Korean descent as BooBoo Stewart, former member of T-Squad, will be joining the cast in the Twilight saga for its third movie: Eclipse.

BooBoo’s nationality varies as he’s mixed with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Scottish and Blackfoot Native American. So what do six different ethnic backgrounds combine into? One sexy stud!

The Twilight saga is a love story between a human girl who falls in love with a sparkly vampire and becomes involved in the supernatural world of mythical creatures. In the movie, there is a long going rivalry between the vampire race and the werewolf race.

With the release of the sequel New Moon, it’s been revealed that most of werewolves are extremely buffed out and don’t like to wear shirts. Through this film, BooBoo will be throwing away his former kid image and will reveal his new grown up muscular side.

BooBoo will be portraying the role of Seth Clearwater, a member of the Quilet werewolf tribe but the only one to not harbor any negative feelings towards the vampires.

Eclipse hits theaters June 30, 2010.

KBiggz turned down Spiderman, yo

Hot off their own triple attack at the Oscars taking home Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Film honors, Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal look set to reunite for "Triple Frontier" this coming year.

The L.A. Times are now reporting that early word on the film have noted that the project is "a Spanish-language variation, of a sort, on their previous collaboration." This seems to fit to the film's previous description as a "'Traffic'-like drug parable set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge, making 'la triple frontera' difficult to monitor and a haven for organized crime."

Furthermore, while the official language in Paraguay and Argentina is Spanish, Brazilians generally speak Portuguese. We're not exactly sure how communication plays out in the 'Triple Frontier' itself but we're guessing it's going to be a multi-lingual effort.

Also revealed is an interesting factoid that Kathryn Bigelow reportedly turned down the "Spiderman" reboot before the hot seat was eventually given to Marc Webb. It's certainly leaves one to wonder how she would've approached the material, we're guessing Bigelow wanted to focus on her own work rather than get saddled with a studio comic book franchise for the next couple of years.

Finally, Bigelow is slated to shoot the John Logan scripted pilot, "The Miraculous Year," for HBO sometime between May and June but other than that, has her schedule wide open. After filming is notoriously hot and humid conditions in Jordan for 'The Hurt Locker," Bigelow might prefer to shoot outside the summer, which runs from December to February in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Game: Sitcom's Return On BET Nearly Finalized

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Good news for fans of the former CW sitcom 'The Game.'

Sources close to the production tell BV Buzz that Black Entertainment Television has struck a deal with 'The Game's' parent company Paramount to develop new episodes of the popular series.

"The deal is done between the two networks," the source told BV Buzz. "Now it's a matter of getting the actors under contract again."

When The CW canceled the show in May of last year, the contracts with the shows stars Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Brittany Daniel and Coby Bell weren't optioned and ultimately expired on June 30, 2009.

Now BET has to negotiate new contracts with the actors, which is expected to be done within next week.

"The show will have the same production value, so the actors will make the same type of money they made when they did 'The Game' for The CW," the source shared.

There is a conflict now with actor Bell, who played Jason Pitts on the sports-themed comedy. It was just announced that he is joining the cast of the hit USA show, 'Burn Notice.'

"He will likely still be able to work on 'The Game,' but only as a recurring character instead of being a series regular,"
the source explained.

Once the deal is finalized, 'The Game' will begin production on new episodes in May and shoot on location in Atlanta.

Mara Brock Akil, who also produced 'Girlfriends,' will return as the executive producer of the show as well.

BET hopes to use 'The Game' to launch their new scripted television division, something that Debra Lee, CEO of Black Entertainment Television told BV Buzz when we reported on this story last summer.

City of Toronto confirms no involvement in funeral costs for Haim

TORONTO, On. - The City of Toronto announced Monday it will have no involvement in funeral costs for deceased actor Corey Haim.
The city said it has never received an application for assistance with the funeral costs for Haim.
Earlier Monday, Access Hollywood claimed Corey Haim's mother Judy told them that the City of Toronto would cover the cost of the late actor's funeral.
Corey Haim's best friend Corey Feldman made it known on CNN's Larry King Live that his friend died with little money to his name.

The city's website said there are funds available to help assist local residents who "do not have sufficient funds in their estate to cover the cost of a basic funeral, burial and or cremation."

In what’s sure to be music to the ears of Gleeks everywhere, Fox is said to be finalizing a deal to amplify Glee’s second season.

“Season 2 will be much bigger and much longer,” series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to us over the weekend at PaleyFest ‘10. “We are talking about doing 25 episodes as opposed to [the customary] 22.”

Murphy added that he hopes to inject the show’s sophomore season with a “sweet feeling… like I loved it when The Brady Bunch went to Hawaii. I want [New Directions] to go to some competition in New York.”

Homophobia rampant at Stars on Ice?

Homophobia rampant at Stars on Ice?
Mar 13th, 2010 by Patricia Nell Warren.

As the “Johnny Weir family-friendly” story goes viral, it’s interesting to look at the ice-show political background. Just two years ago, as 2008 came in, Johnny was set to skate for Champions on Ice, the gay-friendly tour where Rudy Galindo skated for an entire decade. Remember Rudy Galindo? Our 1996 U.S. National Champion who was not only out but as OTT as Weir in his own unique way? He who wore his own brand of outrageous costumes — like fluttering rainbow flags, and Village People costumes, and a large sequinned star on his butt?

Champions on Ice was a big successful show since 1969. Despite competition from the newer Stars on Ice, COI hung in there through the peak of figure-skating popularity in the 1990s and a change of ownership in 2006. The show always took a liberal tack — hiring not only the “safer” gold medalists and world champions, but controversial figures like Rudy Galindo. Like Surya Bonaly, who never medalled at the Olympics — apparently because she was considered too athletic, muscular and masculine to fit the profile demanded of female figure-skaters. Like Oksana Baiul, in spite of her DUI arrest and notorious battles with drugs and booze.

Stars on Ice didn’t debut till 1986, starting as the “American Tour” organized by Scott Hamilton, with sponsors Discover Card and Plymouth. Though Hamilton was openly homophobic, the show did have its gay faces in the earlier years — Rob McCall and Brian Orser. But the emphasis began to veer towards male skaters like Kurt Browning who were paragons of “masculine heterosexual skating style.” SOI’s turning point into deep figure-skating conservatism probably came in 2001, when Smucker’s became the show’s title sponsor. Though the Ohio-based food company hasn’t been screamingly high profile in politics, a glance at their political contribution record shows that they have contributed heavily to state and national Republican causes, including Mitt Romney and John McCain for President. Co-CEO Tim Smucker has served as a GOP delegate to the RNC.

Then, in December 2007, the roof fell in on COI. International Figure Skating Magazine reported, “When AEG Worldwide, one of the world’s leading sports and entertainment presenters, bought the Champions on Ice tour in 2006, company officials said they planned to take the tour around the world. [But] the ride has apparently come to an end. Phil Hersh (in a report in the L.A. Times) is reporting that the Champions on Ice ‘is dead after a 38-year run….’ The article indicated Stars on Ice, its rival tour managed by IMG, would take over the COI tour.’

The COI website is still up, but frozen in time – complete with pics of its 2008 cast who were left high and dry by the closing — stars like Victor Petrenko, Irina Slutskaya, Evgeny Plushenko, Sasha Cohen…and Johnny Weir.

So if a top skater wants to tour, Stars on Ice is now the only game in town. There is nowhere else for a brilliant and controversial figure to go — not Weir or anybody else. How convenient for SOI, and for everybody in figure-skating who want to see certain skaters and certain skating styles disappear. SOI is now coiled in position, like the sequinned boa constrictor that they have become, to put the big squeeze on private lives of skating figures. Sasha Cohen is the only COI refugee who got herself onto Stars on Ice’s 2010 tour.

SOI denies allegations that they’re snubbing Weir because he’s not “family friendly.” It’s also been alleged that SOI intended to hire only Vancouver medalists. But their 2010 roster includes some world and national champions who are not Olympic medalists. So if SOI really hungered to have three-times U.S. National Champion Weir on their roster, there would surely have been room for him.

Clearly the snub of Weir is part of a bigger paradigm shift in U.S. figure skating. Other things may be going on behind the scenes (Stars on Ice hasn’t hired a single top Russian skater this time). Meanwhile, the Republicans who make all that strawberry jam at Smucker’s mean it when they bill their ice show as “family entertainment.” I would say that the issue is as much Weir’s so-called “feminine” appearance and behavior as his actual sexual orientation. On the 2010 cast of SOI, the males are all certifiably “masculine looking” — though their skating styles and costumes might be “artistic” enough to make Elvis Stojko gag.

Johnny Weir has said he’d like to launch his own show. With Champions on Ice gone, there is definitely room for a 2nd show that has more fire to it — especially if Stars on Ice goes even more conservative.

Jessica Simpson Can't Expect People To Not Have Opinions

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jessica Simpson talked to USA Today and actually gave a very level-headed view on celebrity and how she handles it, especially criticism.

"Right now I'm so numb to it I wouldn't take offense," says Simpson, who takes viewers on a journey of personal discovery through her VH1 show, The Price of Beauty ."I've allowed my life to be public, and that is my responsibility. I can't expect people to not have opinions on how you live your life."

Jessica made 'The Price of Beauty' as a response to all the criticism she's received over the past year about her appearance.

"At the time I just didn't talk about it at all. I just didn't want to give it any attention," Simpson says. "I thought the best way to do it was to discover beauty by myself. I think the world kind of gave me this favor. I don't think I would have been as receptive to the idea of this show until now."

LONDON — Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet has split from her film director husband Sam Mendes, a British law firm said Monday.

The 34-year-old star separated from Mendes at an unspecified point earlier this year, Shillings law firm said. It wasn't clear whether divorce proceedings have begun. The pair have been married since 2003 and have two children.

In a statement e-mailed to journalists, the law firm said the split was "entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement."

"Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children," the statement said.

A call and an e-mail seeking further comment were not immediately returned.

Love says daughter attacked her

Photobucket

Courtney Love has spoken out about her high-profile bust-up with daughter Frances Bean - insisting the teenager punched, bit, and scratched her during a frenzied attack.

Frances, Love's daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paternal grandmother and an aunt in December after a falling out with her mother.

A judge later slapped a banning order on Love, preventing her from contacting Frances until a further hearing in April.

The Hole rocker is adamant her feud with Frances is over - and she will have her daughter back in time for her 18th birthday in August.

But she has also revealed details of the argument that sparked their split - insisting Frances attacked her.

Love says, "I was talking on the phone. Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, 'Why was I born?' Then she bites and scratches and pulls on my hair. She punched me. I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise."

Do you know what's worth fighting for?

Billie Joe Armstrong graces the cover of Out, talks about life and career, is awesome.

"American Idiot,” the song, is the opening shot of Green Day’s own “Howl.” Much like the poem by queer beatnik Allen Ginsberg, the taut, tense explosion of punk rock politics decries the loss of a generation to drugs, war, hopelessness, and the “sub-liminal mindfuck” of a nation ruled by infomercials and imbeciles.

Fifty-five seconds into the three-minute manifesto, Billie Joe Armstrong delivers a different kind of mindfuck: “Maybe I am the faggot America,” he sings, and for six years every kid at the band’s stadium-sized shows has sung right along, fists in the air.

Maybe he is, and maybe he isn’t, but he makes one thing clear: “I’m not a part of a redneck agenda.” To paraphrase our former idiot-in-chief, you’re either with us or you’re with them. Armstrong is with us.

If American Idiot, the Broadway rock opera based on Green Day’s last two albums, is not quite a call to arms, it is undeniably about surviving the worst our world offers us in the name of the American dream. “It’s about moving two steps forward and three steps back,” Armstrong says. “There’s always a lesson somewhere on a path to nowhere.”

Read the whole thing here, he is lovely and smart and magnificent.

ABC Should Stop Spoiling 'Lost'

Every promo for Lost's final season promises that answers will be revealed. What they don't tell you is that the answers are being revealed in official ABC press releases.

I've never been a fan of Lost spoilers, but I always assumed reading official press releases and watching video clips released by ABC wouldn't count as spoilers. That changed this season.

The guest cast lists from the official ABC press releases are incredibly spoiler heavy. Fans know in advance what familiar faces will be appearing in the episode, thus ruining the surprise.

Anyone who read the release or watched the opening credits of "Dr. Linus" knew Alan Dale would show up, and since it didn't happen in the first 59 minutes of the episode, the final reveal of Charles Widmore in his submarine was far less surprising.

Shocker: Kate Gosselin's a bitch?!

We already got a glimpse of Kate Gosselin's less-than-charming demeanor on her reality show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8." Now the attitude is back in full force, and the reality star has already earned the title of "total diva" on the set of "Dancing With the Stars."

Gosselin is snubbing other contestants and behaving coldly to crew members, sources told the New York Post. Word of her diva-esque behavior got out, prompting Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir to pull out of talks about appearing on the show. He reportedly did not want to have to work with Gosselin.

"Kate doesn't want anything to do with other contestants," a "DWTS" source said. "While there's a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, Kate has set herself apart. ... She wants to be queen bee."

Maybe it was the special treatment Gosselin got from "DWTS" that went to her head. The show is allowing her to rehearse in Pennsylvania with her partner in a makeshift studio in her basement so that she can be near her kids.

We can see if Gosselin's performance on the dance floor is worthy of her diva behavior when "DWTS" season 10 premieres, Monday, March 22 on ABC.

"Sometimes when I'm alone, about to go to sleep, that's when I feel too comfortable and I say things that are too personal," she explained.

"I feel safe and it's like, 'Oh, it's early, nobody is listening'. I talked to my therapist about that. She said sometimes when you feel like the world is too much, you go to the internet, you have a meltdown, you go online and you talk and you feel like you're entertaining everyone and you get a temporary high, right? Like a drug."

Tequila added: "And she said when I'm done, the high comes down and and I get this huge backlash from the media - like, 'Oh my God, what are you doing?'"

Tequila, who is currently "pregnant", recently revealed that she is planning to leave Los Angeles.

Ben Stiller: 'I'm Beginning to Feel Grown Up'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Ben Stiller is taking a break from big budget action comedy after his appearance in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

Now, he's starring as the title character in Greenberg, an independent bittersweet dramedy directed by Noah Baumbach [Squid and the Whale], playing a 40-something misfit at a crossroads in his life. Stiller felt a connection with Greenberg's angst and his plan to bring Zoolander back to the screen.

Photo Op with Lenny Kravitz!

Khloe blogs:
Last week Lamar and I went on Lopez Tonight and Lenny Kravitz was there and he asked for a picture with us! I wanted one with him but I was too shy to ask. So thank goodness he asked first! LOL I can't believe he even knew who I was. He told me he watches every episode of our show! Who would have ever thought that someone like Lenny Kravitz would be a fan?! I'm not sure if he was serious or not but I guess I have the picture to prove it! Hahaha.

I love his music and his performance in Precious was phenomenal -- he's SO talented and so sweet and down to earth. It was really awesome to have the opportunity to meet him.

'SATC' mastermind Michael Patrick King talks gay wedding and Liza!

With a Swarovski-encrusted veil of secrecy perfectly draped and belted over "Sex and the City 2," fans have more questions than Charlotte on a first date. Thankfully, your PopWrap pals cornered Michael Patrick King, AKA the man with all the answers at Saturday's GLAAD Media Awards.

Thankfully the writer/director of both the first and second films revealed the reasons behind some of the sequel's most controversial plot points!

PopWrap: How do you describe the film?
Michael Patrick King: It's a far away journey with a big heart. At the same time, it's a big party. I figured in this economy and this climate, everyone wanted to have fun. It has an old-fashioned sense to it, almost like an MGM musical, but also has the feel of a road picture. I think fans will be surprised of the journey these characters go one. What the ladies experience after their happily ever after.

PW: Anyone with a DSL line knows part of the film takes place in the '80s, how did that idea come about?
MPK: One of the themes of this film is time -- past, present, future. Who you were, who you are, who you will be. So I thought, well, it's about evolution and I'm always trying to find something new, something the show hasn't done before. I never want to repeat myself and we never showed the moment of how the girls met, so I thought, let's try that.

MTV: 'Iamamiwhoami': Is Swedish Singer Jonna Lee Behind Viral Campaign?

Her management denies involvement, but some eagle-eyed fans beg to differ.

Back in January, amid much speculationto the contrary, a rep for Christina Aguilera denied that her client had anything to do with the ongoing "Iamamiwhoami" viral campaign, telling MTV News: "It's 100 percent not her ... not sure why people think it is."

And yet, despite that denial (and a second one issued just last week), Aguilera's name kept being mentioned in connection with the maddeningly complex campaign, even as mysterious packages were sent to MTV News and more and more Iamami videos were released.

But on Sunday, with the debut of the seventh Iamami clip, all that speculation may finally be over. We might finally know the person responsible for the engrossing (and pretty gross) viral campaign: Jonna Lee, a singer/songwriter from Sweden.

In a lengthy post on celebrity-obsessed LiveJournal community Oh No They Didn't, a pair of keen-eyed readers noticed the similarities between Lee and the muck-smeared heroine of the Iamami video series — the nose, the teeth, the eyes — similarities no amount of masking tape (which our heroine covered herself in for the latest vid) could hide. Also strangely similar is an electric organ seen in the new video, which also makes an appearance in a "making of" clip for Lee's latest album, and Lee's backing musicians, who look very much like the guys featured in the newest Iamami video.

And given all those similarities, it seemed like the mystery was finally solved. Only, perhaps it isn't. Because Lee's music only bears a passing resemblance to the ethereal, downright eerie electronic stuff being unveiled in the viral videos (her latest single, "Something So Quiet," is perhaps the closest match). And, according to her management, she has nothing to do with Iamami.

"If Jonna is involved in this, we have no knowledge of such," Jamie Jaffe, who works for Lee's North American management team, Philadelphonic
, told MTV News in an e-mail Monday (March 15). "The only upcoming projects we are aware of are the development of her third album and her upcoming SXSW performances."

The LA Times Interviews Jayden Chunks Tequila's Mom...

Tila Tequila had looked everywhere, but she could not find her pills.

"I need to take my medication. My happy pills," she said, as she pushed aside some of the empty Red Bull cans that were strewn about her Studio City house. She wouldn't name the medication but explained, "Just so much has been going on, my doctor has been giving me stuff to help me cope."

It was a late, very rainy evening in January, and the 28-year-old reality television star and tabloid mainstay -- born Thien-Thanh Thi Nguyen -- had not had a good day. Only a few moments earlier, she'd opened the door to her home to find that her dog, Onyx, had chewed up a pair of her Lucite heels. She chained him to a stripper pole. With a Swiffer mop from the kitchen, she tried to brush aside the pieces of chewed up shoe, but the Velcro mop affixed itself to her rug instead. "I don't know how to use this thing," she said, tossing it aside in frustration.

She was trying to clean up before being photographed, a prospect she found irritating, although she had previously agreed to it.

"What is this for again?" she said, sitting down at her piano, which was covered in Christmas tree lights and vases of roses. "I'm not gonna do like a model, Maxim thing. That's not who I am anymore." Instead, she had opted to play a tribute song to her late fiancée, 30-year-old Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, who died in January from diabetes complications.

"Summertime," Tequila sang, her eyes closed, "summertime has gone away."

Trump doesn't pay employees, cheats at golf, will probably sue me for this headline

Last night, tens of viewers watched as Donald Trump attempted to inject some life into the season premiere of his """Celebrity*""" Apprentice by reigniting his old and tired feud with Rosie O'Donnell. Ro's friend Cyndi Lauper is a contestant this season, and Rosie came up a time or two in the first ep.

This morning on her radio show, Rosie played clips from last night's show and told amusing stories about how she came to know The Donald, rehashed The View incident that started their feud, and detailed exactly how many times his companies have indeed been on the brink of bankruptcy. Then she took phone calls from listeners who have been personally victimized by The Donald. Hilarity ensued.

It's 30 or 40 minutes but really funny.

Rielle Hunter Poses for GQ

Having an affair with a married politician, having a baby with him, accepting money from the politician's supporters—those are just the kind of things that could happen to anybody, really. We all make mistakes. But Rielle Hunter, sexily posed on her toddler's bed, reveals more than just her underwear. It's hard to argue that the photoshoot is anything but poor judgment on every possible level. It's a poor parental call: Your daughter will have to burn those toys and the bedspread, but the memories—not to mention the picture—will digitally stalk her forever. It's a poor PR call: The few die-hard romantics who believed in the "magnetic force field" that Ms. Hunter says drew her to John Edwards may be tempted to reconsider, given this fresh evidence of general foolhardiness. And it's just a poor call overall: Kermit, maybe. Barney—well, it's a huge stretch. But no one will ever make Dora the Explorer sexy.

Exclusive: Paula Abdul in talks to headline 'Star Search' reboot for ABC!

This just in: Paula Abdul is straight up headed back to TV!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the ex-American Idol judge is finalizing a deal to headline an updated version of Star Search, the great-granddaddy of all televised singing competitions, for ABC. Abdul’s role is still being defined, but I hear it will likely include some combination of hosting and judging. An ABC rep refused to comment.

The Alphabet network had been wooing Abdul since last summer when she officially announced her departure from Idol. There was talk of her joining Dancing With the Stars in some capacity, but a deal never came to fruition. It’s not clear if Abdul’s Star Search gig would preclude her from joining former colleague Simon Cowell as a judge on the forthcoming US version of his UK monster hit, The X Factor, which is slated to debut on Fox in the fall of 2011. (Star Search is being targeted for this summer.)

This isn’t the first time that Star Search, which premiered in 1983 with host Ed McMahon, has been resurrected from the TV bone pile. In 2003, CBS brought the show back with Arsenio Hall in an attempt to capitalize on the massive popularity of the then-new American Idol. The revival was axed in 2004.

Drake Introduces 'Drake The Artist' In 'Over' Video

While filming a video for his song "Over" on Friday in Los Angeles, Drake stood in front of an all-white backdrop wearing a white tee and white sneakers. What does he do in the clip? He does him.

"This is my first video," the Young Money franchise player said, sitting in his trailer. "I've shot a lot of videos before, but this is my first attempt to establish myself as Drake the artist. Shooting the other videos I've done has been great. I really don't care what other people think about them, they were great experiences for me. I've learned a lot from them. Today, I'm shooting with somebody I really look up to and respect. I'm shooting with Anthony Mandler."

Mandler, who has also made videos with Jay-Z and Rihanna, worked with Drake before on Mary J. Blige's "The One."

"We talked colors, we talked epic, emotion-evoking visuals," the 23-year-old Toronto native said of the collaborative "Over" video. "The story is actually interesting. The song is so aggressive, and it's sort of a love story in the video. It has a lot to do with the album [Thank Me Later]. The album is about finding love, feeling 'Have I sold my soul' as far as 'Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? Will I ever find that pure love?' Those elements are in the video. I look strong, I feel great, my knee's feeling great. I'm jumping around, doing all kinds of stuff."

he song "Over" touches on Drake reaction to fame and stardom. " 'Over' was definitely a choice of mine," he said of releasing it as a single. "I've got a lot of great songs on the album. A lot of songs that sound familiar but are brand-new. I still got the same emotions of the songs you love, whether it be 'Say Something' or 'Best I Ever Had' or 'Bedrock.' For people who enjoy what I've done in the past, I've got a lot of songs to cater to them. But 'Over' was a song I did for myself.

"We took a trip to Jamaica, where I did a lot of work for my album," he elaborated. "There was this calm before the storm, and 'Over' represented the storm to me. It's the moment. I wanted to emerge at first from this album and just let people know 'This is how I'm coming out in the public eye. I'm ready for anything.' Then when you get the album, it's like, 'Oh, he's still human. He's still thinking the same way.' I wanted people to understand I could have lost it. 'Over' could have been my entire album. Just 'cause that's what this industry and game will do to you if you lose yourself."

'Cap Am' update: Channing Tatum and Keira Knightley approached

Add Channing Tatum to the list of names of actors being considered for the role of Captain America.

Tatum now joins Wilson Blethel and Mike Vogel, who have screen-tested, plus Chris Evans, who has read for the part. Marvel is also still keen on Garrett Hedlund.

At this stage, Tatum, who just wrapped filming on the Steven Soderbergh action flick “Knockout,” has only been approached for the role and has not seen a script. The actor played Duke in “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” but despite that movie doing modestly at the box-office, fanboy reaction was muted and its viability as a franchise is set on neutral.

Tatum certainly has the heft for Captain America, but can he play the 98-pound weakling alter ego Steve Rogers was before taking the super-serum which turns him into a perfect human specimen? This could be Tatum’s chance to pull a “Machinist” -- Christian Bale lost 60 pounds for the role which, while attracting some heat from health groups, received acclaim for his performance in that movie.

Casting for other roles in the Captain America movie is just as hot.

Hugo Weaving’s deal is still being worked on, though not much movement has occurred since last week.

And the search is on for the female lead. Details for the part are being kept secret for now but it is rumored to be his flame Betsy Ross (ironically, named after the woman who is credited with creating the American flag). Keira Knightley was approached last week but the studio is also looking at other actresses.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Former Protege Telling Michael Jackson's Kids 'I'm Your Father'

Michael Jackson’s former protégé, Omer Bhatti, has been living with the Jackson family and telling Michael’s three children that he’s their father, RadarOnline.comhas learned exclusively.

Bhatti, a 25-year-old Norwegian rapper, was rumored to be Michael’s son and showed up on the Jackson scene in 1996.

Sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that Bhatti has even told Jackson’s children, “Call me Michael” and introduces himself as Michael.

It’s a shocking rare behind-the-scenes look at what is really happening at the Hayvenhurst compound where Jackson’s children live with their grandmother Katherine and as many as 14 others at any given time. California’s Department of Children and Family Services has visited the home several times recently and has an open investigation into the situation.

“Omer has even told the children he has changed his name from Omer Jamal Bhatti to Omer Michael Bhatti,” a source with extensive knowledge of the situation told RadarOnline.com.

“He has infiltrated the Jackson family in a way that many find to be disturbing and detrimental to the children,” the source added.

At various times Bhatti has told Blanket, Paris and Prince that he is their father, that their father sent him to take care of him and that he is a real Jackson.

Some see him as a 25-year-old man exploiting the raw emotions and confused mental state of Michael’s children.

He is also living off the Jacksons’ money.

As a child he dressed identical to Michael, who seemed to revel in the confusion and controversy Omer’s appearance generated. Michael even told some people that Omer was his son.

But others say that since Michael’s death, Omer has latched on to the family and is manipulating Michael’s children constantly.

“Prince has been particularly vulnerable to Omer and his claims,” the source said. “He’s starting to believe Omer’s claims that Michael is his father.”

TITANIC to be re-released in 3D by 2012

Moviemaker James Cameron has confirmed he will bring Titanic back to the big screen in 3D.

The director recently joked about updating the 1997 blockbuster using the same technology, which brought his Oscar-winning epic Avatar to life.

And now he has confirmed he is serious about plans to re-release the historical film in 3D - but the new version won't hit cinemas until 2012, to mark 100 years since the legendary ship sank.

He tells USA Today. "We're targeting spring of 2012 for the release (of a 3D version of Titanic), which is the 100 year anniversary of the sailing of the ship."

Cameron also revealed he will be putting Avatar back into movie theatres by releasing a director's cut later this year.

He adds, "The wildcard is that we might be re-releasing the movie this fall. It's kind of gotten stomped out (in theatres since the release) of Alice in Wonderland. The word we're getting back from exhibitors is we probably left a couple of hundred million dollars on the table as a result. The question is the appetite still going to be there after the summer glut of movies. We're going to assess that. We're talking about maybe adding in additional footage and doing something creative."

Avatar made movie history this year by overtaking Titanic as the best-selling international movie release of all time.

Miley Cyrus: Fuck the Internet, y'all.

In a swank Santa Monica hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean this weekend, Miley Cyrus spoke to reporters about her upcoming film, The Last Song — the latest romantic weepie from best-selling author Nicholas Sparks, and the first for which he also wrote the screenplay. Also a first for Sparks: Song was conceived and specifically written for Cyrus, who was looking for a project to help her break out of Hannah Montanadom and graduate to more mature roles.

“It’s interesting to leave my security blanket behind. It was such a huge deal in so many kids’ lives,” Cyrus said about the upcoming Hannah Montana finale. But as for revisiting the character in another film, she made it clear where she stands. “[Hannah’s] wig is,” she whistles, “out. One will be in a museum, and one will be… burned, or something.”

I admitted to having developed a guilty pleasure addiction to her Twitter feed, and went into Miley tweet withdrawal when she abruptly pulled the plug in October with a message reading, “FYI Liam doesn’t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason.” (Liam, or course, refers to her Song co-star and now boyfriend, handsome Aussie discovery Liam Hemsworth.) So what, exactly, was that reason?

“I was kind of, like, tired of telling everyone what I’m doing,” Cyrus told Movieline. “I hate when I read things and celebrities are complaining like, ‘I have no personal life.’ I’m like, well that’s because you write everything that you’re doing.”

“So I was that person who was like, ‘I’m so sad. I have no real, normal life, everyone knows what I’m doing.’ And I’m like, well that’s my own fault because I’m telling everyone,” Cyrus said. “And then I’d tweet, ‘I’m here,’ and I’d wonder why a thousand fans are outside the restaurant. Well, hello, I just told them. So I’m just, like, kind of thinking doesn’t really make a lot of sense. Everything I’m saying is not really going with what I’m putting on the internet.

Asked if the change has been for the better, Cyrus took a moment to consider, then said, “I’m a lot less on my phone, I’m a little bit more social. I have a lot more real friends as opposed to friends who are on the internet who I’m talking to — which is like not cool, not safe, not fun and most likely not real. I think everything is just better when you’re not so wrapped up in [the internet].”

“I just think it’s kind of lame,” Cyrus continued. “I feel like I hang out with my friends and they’re so busy taking pictures of what they’re doing and putting them on Facebook that they’re not really enjoying what they’re doing. You’re going to look back and have a million pictures, but you’re not going to be in any of them. Because you’re not having fun, you’re too busy clicking away. So I think just enjoy the moment you’re in, and stop telling people about it. Just enjoy it.”

Does she realize she sounds like a mom when she says stuff like that?

“Yes, I do,” she answered, smiling. “I’m telling kids, don’t go on the internet, it’s dangerous, it’s not fun, it wastes your life, and you should be outside playing sports or something.”

Sony in $250 million deal with Jackson's estate

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Sony Corp has reached a deal with Michael Jackson's estate that could be worth as much as $250 million, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the situation.

The report said the deal, coming months after Jackson's death, is the most lucrative recording contract ever signed. It guarantees the estate at least $200 million, according to the newspaper's web site, and involves 10 albums over seven years.

The deal will combine a mix of previously unreleased songs and new packages of familiar ones, according to the report.

Sony has sold about 31 million of Jackson's albums worldwide since his death on June 25
, the report said. It added that the advances Sony will pay are to be offset by sales of albums as well as revenue generated by licensing Jackson's music.

Sony's deal with the estate retroactively covers the soundtrack album to "This Is It." It also covers a number of other releases, some of which have been planned and others that still must be determined, according to the Wall Street Journal.

One album of previously unreleased songs is likely to hit stores before the end of this year, and another collection is due out later, it said.

Michel Gondry and Björk Plot “Scientific Musical”

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Early last month, we rhetorically asked, “What are Michel Gondry and Björk building in there?” A question inspired by an exciting, yet über-cryptic, tidbit in an Entertainment Weekly Q&A with the French director. All we honestly knew at the time was that — as Gondry offered — “it’s very undefined, so it’s hard to give more precision.” </p>

The Playlist caught up with the director/writer/genius at SXSW this week, however, and wrangled another choice quote from the man for us to obsess over. Now the project sounds a tad more, um, defined: “We have a very ambitious project, a sort of scientific musical,” said Gondry. “[It’s a movie], but maybe more for museums. Like a 40 minute IMAX project in 3D.”

That rules out an Icelandic venture capital endeavor, Science of Sleep sequel, or Björk cameo in The Green Hornet, sure, but a “scientific musical” is a better fit for the pair behind such profound prior work in the music video genre, I’d say.

DanRad: "My mind always leaps to the gutter..."

Since people were ready to lynch   [info]catastrophicbb over the fake bitch/no HP trailer, I thought a little DanRad goodness could bring a smile.

Dan talks about the woes of trying to chat up girls wearing a schoolboy uniform, aging (and growing taller) for the epilogue, having a laugh at Twatlight (which he hasn't seen at all) and chats about Rob Pattinson"I hate him, we've established that..."
Dan as "Edmund" in The Simpsons spoof of Twilight will be awesome! Autumn can't come fast enough.

With the UK General Election taking place any Thursday between now and 3rd June, the British media is full of political speculation.

Vogue has a long article about which party various people in the arts will be supporting, including this quote from a list of supporters of the Liberal Democrats...

"...So too is Daniel Radcliffe, who calls me after a day of submersion in a water tank on the set of the final Harry Potter1. "I'll be voting Lib Dem, without a shadow of a doubt. Nick Clegg rang me and we had a good chat. He's seriously impressive," he says between bites of a ham-and-brie panini in his dressing room. "Politics are so dull, boring, placid and anodyne at the moment. I was brought up in a left-wing house, but now everything is centre. My generation is genetically engineered to have a distrust of politicians. Do you know what leaves me cold? Those awful attempts to pander to the young. I feel like shouting, 'I don't want you to listen to the Arctic Monkeys!'"
