Flight attendants had to undress pop's wildest fashionista, Lady Gaga, after her designer outfit brought on the early stages of deep vein thrombosis.
Gaga boarded the 8-hour flight in London wearing an outfit made of black and yellow tape and giant blue heels, designed by her mentor, the late Alexander McQueen.
But the tape was wound so tightly around her legs they began to swell mid-flight, forcing cabin crew to step in to avert a medical emergency.
"The outfit was so cumbersome she needed help changing out of it," an unnamed airline source told the UK's Sun newspaper.
"She was particularly miffed about ditching her heels.
"She was wearing them in memory of her friend Alexander."
It is unclear what she wore for the remainder of the flight.
Billy Corgan on John Mayer: “He’s Trying to Destroy His Career”
After reading John Mayer’s controversial recent interviews, Billy Corgan is convinced Mayer is trying to self-destruct. “He’s trying to destroy his career,” Corgan told Rolling Stone’s Brian Hiatt in an interview outtake from RS‘ revealing new Corgan feature in the new issue, on sale now. “Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction… some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up. Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, it’s hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground — speaking as somebody who’s done it.”
Corgan also responded to Mayer’s comments on their mutual friend Jessica Simpson (”sexual napalm,” Mayer called her). “As far as it pertains to her. I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’s feet like that — there’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on. There’s things that should just be left alone.”

Group of 57 Canadian musicians record K'NAAN's song, with new lyrics, as a fundraiser for charities
It's fitting that K'NAAN's hit, Wavin' Flag, has become the theme song for Young Artists for Haiti.
"My song Wavin' Flag seemed like the right feeling for what was going on in Haiti," said a soft-spoken K'NAAN, on tour in Europe.
The Canadian hip-hop artist's signature tune was reworked and recorded by a cross-section of 57 of today's biggest Canadian music stars. Calling themselves Young Artists for Haiti, they included indie favourite Emily Haines, superstar Avril Lavigne and rising rap star Drake. They gathered on Feb. 18 in a Vancouver studio to record the song in an effort to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
A new version of Wavin' Flag, which includes new lyrics specific to Haiti and is produced by Bob Ezrin, was to be released today.

It's not as bad as I was afraid of (Avril and Bieber? Gross.) or as good as I hoped (K'naan, Serena Ryder, Hawksley), but good for them. I just love Wavin' Flag, though.
Marvel Studios has zeroed in on Hugo Weaving to play the villainous Red Skull in “Captain America.”
Joe Johnston is directing the movie, which remains in search of the actor to play Steve Rogers, Captain America’s alter ego.
In the Marvel comics, Red Skull has been Captain America’s archenemy since 1941, when he engaged in espionage and sabotage as Hitler’s right-hand man. In his final battle with the superhero, he was buried under the rubble of a bombed building but — as would occur later with Captain America — fell into a state of suspended animation. Both were revived in modern times.
The character was the villain in the low-budget 1990 “Captain America” movie.
The dealmaking with Weaving is in a delicate stage that will play out in the next day or so. Agencies grouse that Marvel plays hardball in the negotiating process and also demands multi-movie commitments, though the latter usually applies to actors playing its heroes.
If a deal happens, it would reunite the actor with Johnston, with whom he worked in the recent horror thriller “The Wolfman.” The CAA-repped Weaving already is known to genre fans as bad guy Agent Smith of the “Matrix” movies and elf ruler Elrond of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
I can actually see him fitting into the role rather well, tbh.

Biggest Loser Asia finally weighed in its loser and David Gurnani of Jakarta, Indonesia tipped the scale to become the first Biggest Loser of Asia! The 25-year-old shed a total of 83kg, beating three other finalists to the grand prize of US$100,000 and a brand new Renault car.
David says, "I never thought that I would say this, but it feels great to be a loser. Asia's Biggest Loser!" After a 13-week in-camp contest, the top four went home for two months to continue losing weight on their own. As soon as David returned home, he trained from eight to ten hours a day and watched his diet. So how's he going to spend his money, you ask?? "I'm thinking of buying a house with the money, because I'm planning to get married by the end of this year. I also want to go for a short holiday before getting back to my normal life."
The other three finalists did pretty well too. First runner up, Filipino chef Carlo Miguel, weighed in at 83kg. He shed a total of 49kg from his initial weight of 132kg. "It wasn't easy but I got it done," Carlo said.

Supermodel Rie Rasmussen gave a furious tongue-lashing to fashion photographer Terry Richardson at a Paris fashion event and accused him of exploiting young models.
Bisexual beauty Rasmussen -- a vocal advocate of women's rights -- told Richardson she believes he abuses his power to put young girls into compromising positions. Horrified Richardson quickly fled the March 8 party at club Le Montana in St. Germain and called her agency, One Management, the next day to complain, she told us.
The model and artist -- in Paris for the release of "Human Zoo," which she directed -- told us she was upset Richardson used her picture in his "Terryworld" book alongside shots of half-naked young girls depicted as performing sex acts.
"He takes girls who are young, manipulates them to take their clothes off and takes pictures of them they will be ashamed of. They are too afraid to say no because their agency booked them on the job and are too young to stand up for themselves. His 'look' is girls who appear underage, abused, look like heroin addicts . . . I don't understand how anyone works with him."
Rasmussen said: "I told him what you do is completely degrading to women. I hope you know you only [bleep] girls because you have a camera, lots of fashion contacts and get your pictures in Vogue. Instead of arguing with me, Terry ran out of the bar. Then the next day, he called my agency and complained I called him names in front of clients in Paris. It was the most cowardly thing I have ever seen."
New York-born Richardson -- seen mugging with President Obama on his Web site -- has photographed Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan and Jay-Z.
Richardson said in 2004: "I don't like to exploit anybody. Everyone has fun on my shoots." Richardson, his agent, manager and assistant did not return calls or e-mails. A rep at his agency, Art Partner, told us: "I don't know anything about this. Terry is on a plane from Paris."
Still chilling out overseas, Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving the Park Hyatt Vendome hotel in Paris, France yesterday (March 11).
The “Georgia Rule” actress looked a bit cranky in her all-black ensemble as she made her way to the French television show “Le Grand Journal.”
And it sounds like LiLo is back to ignoring her father after his most recent comments that she needs to get into rehab again.
Lindsay explained, "I'm not really speaking to him. Him saying those things is the last thing that's going to get me to speak to him and I've told him that. He's nuts. He is someone who is crying out for help and attention. He is the one who should be in rehab. He has been on and off like this my whole life. The real issue here? I don't condone that he has never paid child support. He has never stepped up. It's not fair, my mom has been such a great mother and has done such a great job raising us."

Figure skater Evan Lysacek may have won an Olympic gold in the Vancouver games, but he still has something to prove on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
“I’ve been criticized my whole career for being robotic, cold, stiff on the ice. People have said — direct quote — that I have ‘no dance ability on the ice whatsoever,’” he tells PEOPLE. “So [DWTS] is my opportunity to prove them wrong. I just achieved my lifelong dream, now I’m already ready for the next challenge.”
To conquer that challenge, Lysacek says he’s willing to make a certain sacrifice and participate in a DWTS ritual that he wouldn’t normally enjoy: “Spray tans! I usually don’t like to have them because I don’t like the smell of it, but I have had it before,” he says. “Spray me up, baby! I’m going full-force on this show. I’m not going to hold anything back.”
Apart from the cosmetic approach, Lysacek will work hard to follow in the footsteps of fellow figure skater and Dancing with the Stars season 6 champ Kristi Yamaguchi. “I’m a little nervous as it gets closer, because Apolo [Ohno] and Kristi were so good, I think people are going to expect me to be good right off the bat,” he says. “Kristi actually really is a good dancer! I know I’m not a good dancer, but I’ll definitely work hard.”
And he’ll be working overtime as well, traveling nationwide with Stars on Ice while shooting DWTS. Still, Lysacek says he is looking at the show as an opportunity to have some fun. “The last year has been so intense, and I felt like every step I took was so important,” he says. “This is just going to be fun, and obviously it’s a challenge so it’s going to satisfy that side of me. And even if I do feel some pressure and I’m nervous, there’s someone right next to me to hold my hand literally throughout the dance.” –Lisa Ingrassia

Compared to its special 2 hour “baby” episode last week, The Office fell 19% to a 3.8 rating. Only 30 Rock was up (4% vs. its last original episode on 2/11) to a 2.9 rating.
ABC was mixed, the original Grey’s Anatomy at 9pm was down 3% from last week to a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating, while Private Practice was up 7% to a 2.9 rating. Next Thursday 2 hours of FlashForward starts the night.

Clive Owen Joins Jason Statham in The Killer Elite
It would seem the action movie gods have shined upon me today, providing some potentially awesome material for my first post here at Screen Rant.
We’ve known for a while that British action star Jason Statham is set to star in an upcoming thriller called The Killer Elite. The film is based on Ranulph Fiennes’ novel “The Feathermen,” and follows “a group of former British special forces members who are being hunted by assassins. Statham will play a former Navy Seal who is forced out of retirement to save his closest friend.” Now The Daily Mail is reporting fellow Englishman Clive Owen has joined the cast, presumably as the friend to Statham’s character.
The last few years of Owen’s career have been interesting; he starred in the critically acclaimed Children of Men, Inside Man, and Sin City, but has also shown up in some questionable films like Derailed and The International. There have also been some strange projects along the way – Shoot ‘Em Up, anyone? – and recently it seems as if Owen has lost a bit of the edginess so wonderfully displayed in films like BMW’s The Hire series. Perhaps joining forces with the reigning bad-ass of Great Britain will rejuvenate him a bit.
Statham has carved out a niche for himself as a genuine action star, ushering in a new breed of post-John McClane era heroes with a mixture of martial arts and tough guy machismo. It only helps his case that he does most of his own stunts (including driving) in the Transporter series and films like The Bank Job and Crank, and I would be hard pressed to find someone with an equal command over the genre as he has now. His upcoming role in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables, perhaps the most insane collaboration of action stars past and present, is proof positive of Statham’s position in the hallowed halls of action stars.
This new collaboration of the two actors will see a return to characters similar to those they’ve both played before. Statham, an ex-Navy Seal in The Killing Elite, played ex-special forces soldier Frank Martin in The Transporter and its two sequels. Owen has also tread this familiar ground, himself playing an assassin in The Bourne Identity.
The Killing Elite was previously scheduled to begin production last fall, but supposedly the filmmakers have chosen to shoot the film in Australia sometime this year. No word yet on the official start date for the project.
Here’s the part where I toss the conversation to you. Are you excited for The Killing Elite? Does the prospect of Statham and Owen side by gun-toting side have your action glands salivating? Let us know in the comments section.
The only way this could get better is if Gerard Butler joined the cast and Guy Ritchie was going to direct it.
So now that it's finally here, what else can really be said about the "Telephone" video? To be honest, I'm not sure. It is electric and excellent and alive. It is certainly the best big-budget clip since, well, Gaga's last big-budget clip and probably the best video you'll see all year (well, either that or OK Go's new one). It more than lived up to the hype, which, frankly, few thought it would. But, perhaps most notably, it is an event. You will remember where you were when you first saw it. And when was the last time you could say that about a music video?
With "Telephone," Gaga has entered the rarest of pop stratospheres, up there with the Madonnas and the, gasp, Michael Jacksons. I'm not comparing talent, just ability: ability to wow, to enthrall and put on a show — one I can only hope is continued sometime very soon. (Source)

"We went with Nintendo as they have huge appeal for families and Doctor Who is very much a family brand. The Wii console is key for us as it's something families play together."
The BBC is apparently keen to monitor the game closely and has rejected anything too violent.
The insider continued: "BBC Worldwide, which licenses BBC shows, has been trying to find some way of doing it. But you can't have Doctor Who blowing things to bits with a laser gun. That would massively change the nature of the show."

Wonder how Jessica Simpson maintains her million-dollar smile?
So does she. "I don't brush my teeth," she told iheartradio Thursday. "No, really!"
"I just use Listerine -- and sometimes I'll use my sweater," she claimed, bursting into laughter.
"I do brush every now and again, but my teeth are extremely powerful. Fine, maybe when I'm 60 I'll all, "ow!"
The singer adds that she loves "anything fried," and that her nutrition habits weren't always the best. "Growing up in Texas for me, fish was a fish stick. We weren't really the healthiest of people. [My mom] didn't force me to eat healthy."
Simpson, 29, opened up yet again about her ex John Mayer's raunchy comments regarding their sex life. "Maybe in his mind he was thinking about giving me a compliment but he wasn’t," she quipped.
"In relationships, in general, going through a divorce and going through very public break-ups ... you don’t want to disappoint people who are rooting for you to be successful in love. I just have to find the right man."
That is fucking disgusting bitch.
FlashForward fans will not have to wait long to find out the answers to the show's mysteries when it returns next week, unlike in LOST, says Sonya Walger, who stars in both hit shows.
In FlashForward, which debuted last fall, the characters cope with the aftermath of a mysterious global "blackout" that rendered them unconcious and later left them with what appear to be visions of the future, six months from then.
All right, so we all had a chance to watch Lady Gaga's "Telephone." Now it's time to discuss the deeper meaning behind it.

What do you think is the ~deeper commentary~ of the Telephone video?
I enjoy the video, but I'm not sure I see how it's commenting on how we're 'inundated with technology' or what kind of country we are...unless it's ~consumerism or something. I didn't really see that as the central theme, though.
On a recent Monday night at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Manhattan, the comedian Leo Allen came out to kick off his stand-up showcase, “Whiplash,” and was startled at the packed 150-seat theater. “People are sitting on the floor,” he said, gazing at the cross-legged spectators. “They think Chris Rock’s going to be here or something.”
But the audience members knew who they were there to see: Donald Glover, the 26-year-old actor, writer and comedian who stars on “Community” on NBC and whose videos are an Internet sensation. Johnny Weir Responds To ‘Stars On Ice’ Tour Exclusion: ‘I’d Love To Have My Own Show… Maybe Getting Lady Gaga’
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Figure skater Johnny Weir is speaking out about being left out in the cold from the “Stars on Ice” tour.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) broke news on Thursday that the two-time Olympian was allegedly deemed “not family friendly” by the tour’s sponsors.
Johnny Weir spoke to Billy Bush for “The Billy Bush Show” and Access Hollywood on Friday morning to address his exclusion.
“It is for real,” he told Billy. “I’ve never been invited to do ‘Star on Ice’ before, which is the only figure skating tour in the U.S., and it’s disappointing that I can’t perform for my American fans… all because I’m not ‘family friendly’ enough.”
The three-time U.S. National Champion said the hardest part about not skating on the tour would be missing his devoted fans.
“I totally understand that I am a little outrageous in some ways… I’m a little un-P.C., but I really wish I had the chance to perform for the American fans,” he continued.
But Johnny has a possible backup plan with another irreverent performer in mind.
“Maybe right now, just artistically and creatively, I’d love to have my own show and my own tour and involve some big musical acts, like maybe getting Lady Gaga” he said, explaining that if he found sponsors he would create an all-inclusive event. “Nobody would be too un-family friendly for my show.”
He dismissed the idea that he was excluded because of his flamboyant style or perceived sexuality and noted that ice-skating is always going to be flashy.
“I don’t like to look at boundaries as far as sexuality is concerned. I don’t like to look at things based on a person’s sexuality,” he continued. “Anytime you get men in glitter it’s flamboyant occasion!”
When contacted by Access, a rep for “Stars On Ice” said, “We are disappointed that there is untrue and inaccurate information being disseminated. Please be assured that the ‘gender identity and sexual orientation’ of cast members has never been a consideration in the selection of tour performers. ‘Stars on Ice’ recognizes Johnny Weir is a talented athlete and we appreciate the contributions he has made to the international figure skating community throughout his career.”
The rep said there simply is not enough space on the tour.
“The current cast of the ‘Stars on Ice’ tour includes very talented performers including the Olympic Gold medalist, Evan Lysacek and the current U.S. National Champion, Jeremy Abbott, the statement continued. “While ‘Stars on Ice’ wishes it could accommodate many more talented skaters as part of our cast, the fact is we cannot sign every skater… be assured that the comments mentioned regarding the ‘Stars on Ice’ tour are simply not accurate.”

Apparently he was asked over and over again what he thought of the Twilight's main vampire and finally says he eventually made a silly remark that he considered him "the Slim Fast, Diet Coke of vampires", which he insists was a joke. "I upset every 14-year-old on the planet that day," he says also explaining that he got hate mail in response. Then he launched into an imitation of a 14-year-old girl, which is pretty funny, but is probably not going to make things better.
Twilight and True Blood are both vampire stories, but I never really thought of them as having the same audience. Am I wrong? Any Twihards out there who will no longer be watching True Blood over these comments?
At least fiance Anna Pacquin still likes him. Here's the couple doing one of those annoyingly-cute couple gym days, sipping on coconut water and it looks like maybe about to make a run for it at the end there. The angry Edward fans must have found him...

lol @ idiots sending hate mail.
With the copious shots of Lady GaGa’s barely covered vagina, this was bound to happen sooner or later. The good viewers of middle-America have come together at their annual meeting to decide that they don’t like the sight of vagina. More specifically Lady GaGa’s vagina, without much in the way of material to cover it, when she was at the Grammys and performed with Elton John. Furthermore, they don’t like crotch-grabbing. Specifically, they don’t like the sight of Beyonce grabbing her crotch. Weirdos. I’d pop some popcorn in the microwave before setting about reading the hilarity found over at TheSmokingGun.com. If the Adam Lambert gay kiss complaints were anything to go by, these are going to be a steaming pile of vagina-hating hilarity. There are approx. 10 pages of complaints, starting with one that whined about her kiddies seeing GaGa’s GaGa a.k.a. “frontal crotch area” (as opposed to the back crotch area?). Oh, another point, the woman on page one seems to not know how to use her remote. She paid for CBS, so she was determined to leave it on and get her money’s worth.
So, what you drinking tonight ONTD?
Looking chic in all black, "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe rocked a pair of leopard print sneakers while strutting through Santa Monica on Thursday.
While I was flipping through a few channels last night, I noticed at least three shows were covering Howard Stern’s comments on Gabby Sidibe being too big to be a Hollywood actress. Her mother was on Inside Edition and had a few things to say about the whole debacle:
Get a life. He can see, you can see, I can see Gabby is a big girl. She’s a big woman, so what’s wrong with that? She’s not like everyone else in the world. I don’t see him giving jobs out to anybody, so why should we care what he says? He might not hire her, but someone else will.”
Whoopi Goldberg added on the view:
Before you just dismiss her because of her size, take a look at her talent and maybe some writers will write some stuff for her. She’s a wonderful actress and that’s all you need to know
When Gabby’s mother was asked if the comments hurt her daughter’s feeling she responded “I hope not. Because you are going to be who you are no matter what anybody else has to say about it. They didn’t make you so don’t let them break you.
Go behind the scenes as Julianne Moore reprises her role as Frannie Hughes on ATWT. She first airs April 3.
this is more amazing than it looks, it's completely and totally amazing.
Awhile ago it was announced that Degrassi: The Next Generation would have 48 episodes next season. But just today Stephen Stohn, the show's execute producer announced the first 24 episodes will be shown THIS summer on a daily basis, and the other 24 will be aired like a regular season.
FROM HIS TWITTER:
@stephenstohn: The secret is…… not just (and some of you had guessed this) that there will be 48 episodes, twice as many as we’ve ever done before… ...just to be perfectly clear, 48 half-hour episodes... …which is pretty amazing in and of itself… ...but also... the first 24 episodes will be broadcast on a DAILY basis this summer … …a new episode each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week for six weeks… …with the final 24 episodes being broadcast in the more normal weekly format in the fall, winter and spring…
DEGRASSI WILL BE RAPING YOUR SUMMER!!!

A LOT has been said in the past 24 hours about the snaps of NADINE COYLE's freakishly skinny legs.
Chat... Gordon Smart with Nadine Coyle
I suggested in Bizarre yesterday that the GIRLS ALOUD stunner should get herself home to Ireland for a plate of Irish stew to get her pins beefed up a bit.
But when I bumped into her yesterday in London's Air Studios she was keen to point out that she loves her grub and that my picture yesterday didn't tell the true story.
Nadine, who lives in LA, is here to record tracks with producer GUY CHAMBERS.

Shit just got real. Nadine has lost her mind.
