Courtney Love: Post-Concert Oblivion

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Looking plenty worse for wear, Courtney Love was spotted tripping down the street in London, England following her concert last night (February 17).

The “Malibu” songstress performed with her band Hole at the Shockwaves NME Awards Show 2010 at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and appeared to have partied a little too hard afterwards.

In related news, Courtney recently told press that while she may have tweeted about suicide (after losing custody of her daughter Frances Bean Cobain), she’s not a danger to herself.

“I don’t take anything that isn’t prescribed to me. Cocaine, narcotics – those would be tantamount to suicide, and I’m not suicidal.” Love also noted that living without her daughter is excruciating. “I’m lost in a f***ing nightmare maze.”

Flavor of Love Contestant ‘Hotlanta’ Arrested For Child Cruelty

I’m officially convinced that VH1 has no screening process whatsoever.

TMZ reports: One of the stars of the VH1 show “Flavor of Love” was arrested in Georgia — after cops say “Hotlanta” got violent in a mysterious incident involving a child.

Hotlanta — aka 29-year-old Nicole Essigmann — was arrested in Cobb County on January 30th on two counts of simple battery and one count of cruelty to children.

Essigmann — listed at 5′4″ and 130 lbs — was in custody for one day before a company called “Bond James Bond” helped her front the $2,500 bond.

Wanna cheap chick? Better go down to Freaknik

“Freaknik: The Musical” set for Adult Swim March 7

An Adult Swim publicist sent me new art today and more details about the previously reported “Freaknik: The Musical” one-hour animated special on the network. It’s set to air March 7 at 11:30 p.m.

T-Pain spoke to Associated Press
recently about the show, too.

“You can’t do what you want to do, you can’t be as silly as you want to be (and) people won’t take you seriously in music,” T-Pain said in a telephone interview from Los Angeles Wednesday.
“It was a gift … I always wanted to do a cartoon and I didn’t know it would be this good,” the 25-year-old said, who executive produced the special.

The special will feature voices including Andy Samburg (of “Saturday Night Live”), funk legend George Clinton, R&B singers Cee-Lo and Kelis and rap stars Big Boi, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Lil Jon. The article notes that T-Pain has worked on the show for two years.

From the latest press release:

Ten years after the city of Atlanta shut down Freaknik, the biggest spring break party known to man, a group of kids searching for fun successfully resurrect the spirit of Freaknik, who appears in the form of a party ghost voiced by T-Pain. Students from all over America once again descend on Atlanta to perform in Freaknik’s Battle of the Trillest.

“Back in the ’90s, Freaknik was Atlanta’s version of the ultimate block party,” says T-Pain.  “It was Mardi Gras meets spring break at your crazy cousin’s bachelor party and anything could happen.  A decade later, I’m bringing it back for people like me, who didn’t get to experience it the first time around.  We’ve recreated Freaknik’s vibe and energy with amazing animation, new music and an all-star cast of characters.”

Many in Atlanta don’t remember Freaknik with such fond memories. The party, once it blew up in 1994, became a Bacchanalian Spring Break-style party that jammed up roads and created chaos. The city shut it down completely by 1999.

Front Row @ New York Fashion Week

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Kelly Osbourne and AnnaLynne McCord spiced up the front row at Fashion Week.

Kelly wore a ‘Wilma Flinstone’ inspired asymmetrical Jeremy Scott Spring 2010 dress to the designer’s Fall 2010 presentation.

She look so cute with that black bow in her hair.

At this point I’m not sure if AnnaLynne is wearing a dress or she just has glitter sprinkled on her.

She wore her tiny dress to Jill Stuart’s Fall 2010 presentation.

Demi Moore and Natalie Portman were more covered up when they were seated front row.

Demi wore a crushed eggplant dress front row at Donna Karan, whilst Natalie looked divine wearing a black and white Rodarte Fall 2008 dress.

This is still one of my favourite Rodarte collections.

Adrienne Bailon and Sophia Bush both wore Tadashi Shoji looks from the designers Spring 2010 collection during Fashion Week.

Adrienne wore her navy asymmetrical dress to the designers Fall 2010 presentation, wheras Sophia wore her stunning cream and peach crinkled cap sleeve dress with illusion beaded lace insets to Alice + Olivia’s Fall 2010 presentation.

Heavy Rain - convergence of movie and video game

Heavy Rain is an upcoming Noir game for PS3. The game tells the story of 4 characters who attempt to uncover the identity of a serial killer who's been killing children by drowning them in rain water before leaving an Orchid and an Origami paper on their dead body. The playable demo was recently released on Playstation Network (PSN) and features 2 of the 4 main characters: Scott Shelby, a PI and Norman Jayden, an FBI Agent.

The interesting thing about this game is that it plays a lot like an interactive movie where your choices determine the action of the four characters. It's said that there are 20 endings overall which means whatever you do in the game, it'd affect the ending of the game.

Ashley Greene and a brunette Tom Felton signing autographs in Berlin

Ashley Greene signed autographs yesterday as she arrived at her hotel in Berlin, where she's currently filming The Apparition with Sebastian Stan of Gossip Girl. We recently got a peek at another one of her projects, Warrior, with Twilight buddy Kellan Lutz. Ashley and Kellan will reunite again soon when they get down to work on the first installment of Breaking Dawn. They've both stayed busy between turns as Cullens, with Kellan brushing up on his reading and doing Fashion Week while Ashley showed off her figure in Sports Illustrated

Here are pics of a non-Draco looking Tom Felton, her co-star in The Apparition, outside the same hotel. I was going to add in that HBP got nominated for some Saturn Awards, but they were only technical.

The First Openly Gay Ex B-Ball Player Discourages Young Gay Athletes From Coming Out

Ok Americans he's BRITISH, so when he says "Football" he means "Soccer."

Last week it was announced that the Football Association was postponing the launch of a short film intended to herald the organisation's new anti-homophobia initiative. Not a single prominent player had been prepared to support it.

Never mind no one in football ready to come out as gay, no one was even willing to reveal themselves as tolerant of the cause. Which came as no surprise to John Amaechi.

The former basketball player – in the Nineties the highest paid British team sportsman – came out as gay in 2007, the first NBA professional ever so to do. And the response to his own decision has made him aware of what it takes publicly to announce homosexuality.

"I personally have spoken to 10, 12 current professional footballers who are gay, they exist, I promise you," he says. "As it happens none of them have asked me if they should come out. But if they did, I would tell them not to. I'm not a gay right activist.

"I don't insist that they be a Joan of Arc. Why? Because that is what would happen: they would get burned at the stake. And how does that help anyone?" Isn't that a little dramatic?

"Not for a young player, who is not yet established it isn't. The fact is, you're more likely to be hit by a meteor than to make it as a Premier League footballer, so why add another reason why you might not make it?"

Collapse )

"If nothing else, three of the States I worked in – Florida, Utah and Texas – were among the 32 where you could be fired for being gay. Gay activists often tell me if I'd come out while playing I'd have made more of a difference. It perhaps suits me not to believe that. But I honestly think I would have lost my job and what good would that have done? We don't need any more martyrs."

It was always a public announcement Amaechi resisted. His family had known for years he was gay. His team-mates had long sensed he was not as they were.

"They knew," he says. "For a start I was different because I was a Brit and because I was smart, which is not something to be in a locker room. So they weren't really surprised there was something else about me. Someone might ask me: 'Hey you never talk about women'. And I'd say: 'Yeah there's a reason for that.' And that was all that needed to be said."

Collapse )

"In the locker room nudity and frankly homoerotic activity is the norm. I found that more disturbing than encouraging, all that arse slapping. I didn't like to join in, which oddly made me different. I had to keep quiet while they slapped each other's arses.

"I'm sure that is going on in Premier League dressing rooms right now. It is frustrating, exhausting and an anti-cohesive way of going about things. I'm convinced the sense of resentment that built up within me was part of reason I wasn't as good as I should have been."

Which is the principal reason why he believes things have to change: so that people can get better at their jobs. Since leaving the sport, as well as promoting basketball in his own centre in Manchester, as well as sitting on 2012 advisory boards, Amaechi qualified as a behavourial psychologist.

His practice is in the workplace, helping companies improve their performance. And he is convinced that tolerance has hugely beneficial knock-on effects.

Collapse )

"Are you sure? In the locker room being sexually considerate – that is, not sleeping with everything female that moves – is gay. Having non-sexual friendships with women is gay. Being nurturing and considerate is gay. Having a friend who is gay is gay. Choosing not to drink until you puke is gay. In football, even reading a broadsheet or using words with more than three syllables is gay."

So how can football change? If he does not encourage gay players to take the initiative, what then?

"Football needs to grow up, accept its failings, and change. It starts at the top: the FA has to reflect wider society. I know it threatens their existence because it means certain blazerati would have to go. But it would make them better as an organisation.

"I'm not interested in people hugging and getting along. I'm a psychologist who is interested in making institutions better. Perhaps if they realised if they did this they would win the World Cup they would do something about it."

Fantasia Barrino Received Racist, Threatening Letter at "The Color Purple" Set

Fantasia Barrino -- High Alert After Hate Mail

Posted Feb 20th 2010 8:45AM by TMZ Staff

Fantasia Barrino is under a self-imposed lockdown -- after the "American Idol" champ received a threatening letter.

It all started last night at the Pantages Theater in L.A. -- Fantasia was reading her fan mail after a performance of "The Color Purple."

Fantasia's manager tells us Barrino became alarmed over a disturbing letter loaded with racial slurs -- including the n-word -- and a line that read, "go back where you came from and die."

We're told the person who wrote the letter claims he used to work as a security guard for Fox while Fantasia was on "A.I."

Fantasia's manager tells us the singer immediately contacted theater security -- which then contacted the LAPD.

In the meantime, we're told the theater has "beefed up" security around Fantasia -- and all over the venue -- and will be screening anything sent to Barrino's dressing room before it gets to her.

Fantasia tells TMZ, "I will not be defeated by one isolated person's hatred."

Cheech & Chong Confirm that 'Up in Smoke 2' is on the Way « FirstShowing.net

I received an email from a reader named Brandon tonight linking to a YouTube interview with legendary stoners Cheech and Chong talking about all things geek, movies, and, well, Cheech and Chong. But at one point (about 1:02 in) they talk briefly about what they've got coming up for movies and Chong says there's three things: a concert movie, out on 4/20, called Hey Watch This! (pre-order on Amazon); an animated feature, "a bunch of those" Chong says (not just one movie), but the first one will get released "sometime after 4/20"; and lastly, they reveal that "we're also working on a movie movie, Up in Smoke 2." Hell yes!

They both go on to joke that they're going to call the sequel "Avatar 2: Escape from Guantanamo," which doesn't really make sense, but whatever. The big news coming from this interview is that their are a "bunch" of animated movies on the way, as they're just animated sequences of clips from their old stand up shows, so they have plenty to pull from. The other big news is that they are apparently working on a sequel to Up in Smoke, which I would say is the most popular of the Cheech and Chong stoner movies. I'm sure this has been rumored for years, but this is the first time we've heard either of them mention it. Heard anything?

The original Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke, released in September of 1978, is the infamous stoner movie that first introduced Cheech and Chong to the world. It was actually a fairly big success, too, earning around $44 million total (which was impressive for the time). The plot follows "two stoners" who take a van made entirely out of marijuana from Mexico to LA. Sure, I know they followed that up with plenty of other movies that could be called sequels, but I think they want to make a direct sequel or a "revisit them 35 years later" kind of thing. Who knows? But I can't wait to see it. Glad to see Cheech and Chong back in action!

Kristen Stewart Says 'Twilight' Role Is Harder Than People Think

'It's so hard to compare roles — [but playing Bella] was difficult for other reasons,' actress says.

By Larry Carroll

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Ever since she broke through playing Jodie Foster's tough, imperiled daughter in the 2002 hit film "Panic Room," moviegoers and critics alike have been quick to praise Kristen Stewart's acting skills. Now, the 19-year-old actress is back in theaters next Friday (February 26) with "The Yellow Handkerchief," a romantic drama she was cast in after Foster recommended her to the film's producer, six-time Oscar winner Arthur Cohn. But when it comes to which role was tougher to play — her "Handkerchief" rebel Martine or "Twilight" icon Bella Swan — KStew and Cohn disagree.

"I followed Jodie's advice because she's a great actress and director," Cohn said of casting Stewart in "Handkerchief," a love story featuring old and new romances blossoming side by side. "Kristen had an enormous sensitivity for an extremely difficult part. With all respect to 'Twilight,' I think this part was infinitely harder to pull off."

Making matters more interesting, Kristen was only 15 when she landed the role. It wasn't until "Handkerchief" hit Sundance in 2008 that she was even cast in the "Twilight Saga" films. But with all due respect to her producer, Stewart disagreed with his thoughts on which role was more difficult to pull off.

Wyman bored of modern bands

Former Rolling Stones star Bill Wyman dislikes modern music, insisting albums by rock bands such as the Arctic Monkeys are disposable.

The rocker, who played bass guitar with the Paint It Black hitmakers from 1962 to 1992, isn't a fan of the current crop of guitar groups topping the charts.

And he's convinced modern acts will fade away unless they start making more memorable music.

Wyman says, "I can't say I'm impressed by any of the music at the minute. There's nothing new and it doesn't excite me. I can't see bands like the Arctic Monkeys having staying power. Society constantly wants new music so no one will be around long."

10 things you need to know about Clash of the Titans

Last August, a handful of supremely lucky reporters hopped on a bus from London headed for just one of the many sets of 'Clash of the Titans.' Over at Longcross Studios in Surrey, we ventured forth into the armory and the huge wardrobe department, peeked at Charon and his boat across the river Styx, and sat down with stars Sam Worthington (Perseus), Gemma Arterton (Lo) and Mads Mikkelsen (Draco), as well as producer Kevin De La Noy.

We also managed to sneak in some time with director Louis Leterrier on one of the sets full of extras who were soon to be terrified by the Kraken as we cowered in the background. Here's what you need to know before heading into the theater this April, besides, of course, that now you'll be able to see these Titans in 3D.

1. We have seen Bubo, and he is marvelous.
Although the prop masters hedged on whether or not the Bubo we saw would make an appearance in the movie, it seemed obvious that the ornate new Bubo, who can move his head, wings, eyes and beak, was ready for his close-up. (In fact, Film School Rejects got the scoop from the film's screenwriters that Bubo is in the movie after all.) On set, Leterrier and Worthington both indicated that the iconic owl was somehow involved. Worthington noted, "Bubo's not necessarily liked," and Leterrier later added, "Bubo came onset one day, and it was quite tense between us. I must say this, I begged Sam not to destroy Bubo."

2. Pegasus is a diva.
Bubo isn't the only one with an attitude. Worthington admitted the horse playing Pegasus was rather hard to wrangle. "I can't get near the f**king thing without it eating me. It tries to bite me. It's got an attitude problem. It's done more movies than me. It's done 'Alexander' and f***ing 'Prince of Persia,' so it's all f***ing hot s**t now, isn't it. It doesn't come out of its trailer, mate." This translated into an interesting dynamic between them in the movie, in that Pegasus reflected Perseus' own anger and confusion. On the other hand, Arterton asserted that the horse loved Worthington. Only Pegasus knows the truth.

Elton slammed over gay Jesus claim

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sir Elton John is facing a backlash from conservative Christian groups after stating in an interview that Jesus was a gay man.

In the Parade magazine interview, to be published in America on Saturday, Sir Elton said: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems - on the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him, Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving."

He went on: "I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East - you're as good as dead."

Stephen Green, director of Christian Voice, described the gay claim as "rubbish".

He said: "The Bible says Jesus was without sin and that rules out homosexuality. This is a desperate cry for attention." (lol u mad huh)

Mike Judge, of the Christian Institute, dismissed the star's views, saying: "Had a senior political figure made these comments, I would have had an opinion. But this is Elton John and I don't think anybody takes him seriously."

The 62-year-old music legend also opened up to US magazine Parade about the "life-threatening downside" of fame and his relationship with partner David Furnish.

Simon Cowell and his beard girlfriend walking post

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Simon Cowell's relationship with his new girlfriend is obviously going from strength to strength.

Days after allowing himself to be photographed taking Mezghan Hussainy into his new home in Beverly Hills, the couple have been pictured actually touching.

The lovebirds strolled arm in arm round the neighbourhood, chatting to passers-by, before retiring into the $14 mansion and sticking a do not disturb note on the intercom.

The polite message read: 'Do not press the intercom before 12pm. Thank You.'

No doubt Cowell, 50, and Hussainy, 36, are continuing the getting-to-know-you process with a nice, long lie-in.

Indeed, things are said to be progressing so well that reports in The Sun today claim the couple are planning to marry sooner rather than later.

The mogul's mother, Julie, 84, has already given her blessing to the match-up, saying she was 'delighted' he was finally settling down.

She said yesterday: 'I feel as a mother, and like all parents do, that when their sons get to a certain age, particularly 50, we want to see them settled with a good woman.'I could never really see Simon being committed like he is now.

'I would never have imagined that he would get married. I think turning 50 made him realise it was time to get married and start a family.'

Julie - whose husband Eric, Simon's dad, died in 1999 - also revealed that Mezghan, who Cowell reportedly called 'The One' this week, moved her things into his Beverly Hills home.

And now, the X Factor and Britain's Got Talent judge has been speaking to the make-up artist's mother and father, Mary and Syed.

A friend told The Sun: 'He's met them before. They like him and think he's a great guy.

'He's certainly someone who can look after their daughter - he has a history of treating women well - and he's not short of a bob or two.'

The paper hints that a wedding could be possible as soon as this summer - in between filming his two big British shows.

Favourite destinations for such an event seem likely to be Barbados, LA or Miami.

He and Hussainy only stepped out publicly together for the first time earlier this month, after six months of secrecy.

The couple were seen having dinner at Mr Chow's in Knightsbridge earlier this week - and she was sporting a huge diamond ring he had given her during a meal on Valentine's Day.

However, a report in the Daily Star claims Cowell denied the couple were engaged.

The make-up artist - who first met Cowell on the set of American Idol in 2003 - is known for liking older men.

She was 20 when she wed rug salesman Ahmed Shah Zahiri, 13 years her senior, in the early 90s. They divorced eight years later.

Hussainy escaped Afghanistan when her parents fled during the dark years of Taliban rule.

Shaun White: Oprah, 2014 Olympics, love life (or lack thereof), and more.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Shaun White was phone by Oprah, who wanted him on the show TODAY. So, the “Flying Tomato” hopped on a plane and flew to Chicago where he spoke with the famed talk show hostess during her final season on air.

Who would have thought that Shaun White would be on Oprah?

What did America’s favorite snowboarder have to say to Oprah and her audience today? For starters, he hinted at the possibility of attending the 2014 games in Russia to try for his third straight Olympic gold medal in the men’s half-pipe snowboarding competition. He didn’t say straight up if he would attend, but mentioned “why would I not want to experience this again?”

Wouldn’t that be wonderful? It wouldn’t be all that surprising, given that he’s still young and he’s a very competitive athlete.

What else did he have to say? For starters, he spoke about his trademark move: The Double McTwist 1260. He said that he has been working on the move for 2 years, and has taken countless falls along the way. However, he perseveres and even used the move in other games. Why? He didn’t want to save the move for the Olympics, and then mentally psych himself out.

What about Shaun White’s love life? We all know about figure skater Evan Lysacek’s love life – but what about the “Flying Tomato?” He told Oprah he doesn’t have time, and is on the road a lot.

He also says he would like to meet President Obama.

Lilley is notoriously secretive about his works-in-progress.

But one canny photographer managed to snap this shot of Lilley, with blonde curly hair and in surfing mode, in front of the Torquay Surf Club yesterday. Around 200 locals have reportedly been drafted as extras on the show.

It is the first Australian project in which HBO, renowned for series such as The Sopranos and Sex and the City, has taken a stake. HBO also screened Lilley's award-winning 2007 series Summer Heights High, which remains Australia's best-selling local comedy TV series on DVD.

Like Summer Heights High and his earlier series We Can Be Heroes, the news series is being shot in a mock-documentary style.

According to a press release put out by the ABC late last year, Angry Boys ''explores what it means to be a 21st century boy by putting the male of the species under the microscope''.

Public shools are so random.

Only one car for golden boy Evan Lysacek: Aston Martin
Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — After his dramatic victory in men's figure skating on Thursday night, Evan Lysacek is the man with the golden medal. Now he wants to be The Man With the Golden Gun.

Lysacek's Olympic glory has given him the perfect excuse to indulge two of his favorite interests — cars and James Bond.

The American admitted exclusively to Yahoo! Sports that he plans to reward himself for his Vancouver exploits with a top-of-the-range Aston Martin DBS sports car, the vehicle of choice for the last two Bond films starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007.

"Aston Martin all the way, baby," Lysacek told me, rubbing his hands together. "Got to be the DBS. Just like Bond."

Lysacek currently drives a Range Rover and considered switching to a Bentley Coupe before eventually deciding on the Aston Martin, which starts at $269,000. After attending the Closing Ceremony and fulfilling some promotional obligations in Los Angeles, he will make time to visit a local dealership.

"We know how much Evan likes his luxury cars, and he will enjoy taking a tour of a showroom and test driving the DBS," said Gary Briggs, executive salesman of Aston Martin Newport Beach in Southern California. "The DBS has typical understated elegance and is very much the gentleman's sports car. It is a fine choice for an Olympic champion."

Lysacek can live the Bond lifestyle better than most. After all, he even has a villainous Russian nemesis in Evgeni Plushenko, the deposed Olympic champion who tried to belittle Lysacek for his refusal to perform a quad jump.

I guess he wasn't jokoing when he told Maria Menunous that he'd get a sportscar if he won the gold
and lol at the Bond analogies

Cameron Shanks 2D to 3D: "Studios think they can just turn movies into 3D and it's going to work."

Speaking of James Cameron and the whole 2D-to-3D, last minute conversion thing...

The "Avatar" director is not down with it, calling it a cheap move that audiences will see right through. "It's typical of Hollywood getting it wrong," he told MTV recently. "We do a film that is natively authored in 3D, shot in 3D, and so they assume from the success of that they can just turn movies into 3D in 8 weeks... throw a switch and that's gonna work somehow."

People are not willing to "accept inferior forms" of 3D Cameron says, noting that the Grammys botched their attempt earlier this year. The always candid director adds that he wishes films like, "Clash of The Titans" (which did the 3D conversion recently) well, "but it's just not the way to do it. If you want to make a movie in 3D, make the movie in 3D."

His best quote might be, "It [also] should be a filmmaker driven process, not a studio-driven process. Now it's being crammed down from above and now people are being told to make movies in 3D, when it should have been the other way around." Now that's an attitude. We forgot James Cameron is kind of like the Sarah Palin of filmmaking.

Cameron also clarified, he didn't actually meet with Marc Webb about 3D "Spider-Man," he just wouldn't mind offering some advice. "It's more like, 'Just don't make the same dumbass mistakes we made for 10 years! Save yourself that.' "

Ironically, he is okay with another medium that just doesn't feel like it can do 3D justice at all. The filmmaker also says that a 3D "Avatar" DVD will hit stores later this year (as will 3D DVD players, Sony has launched their 3D Blu player and its currently available for pre-order), but it will be a bare-bones version and a special edition will come "down the line."

No offense, but the day we're sitting at home wearing 3D glasses is the day we've given up on everything.

Annie Lennox: 'Gaga is groundbreaking!'

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

I have to say that I am completely entranced by Lady Ga Ga... She is completely off the scale on just about every level, and I’m just loving it!
She has the most ENORMOUS stamina and chutzpah, to carry off her massive persona...and I can tell you, that it takes f........g HOURS and a TEAM to make up and dress up on a daily incarnation like that!!!
She’s amazing...innovative..out of the box...and ground breaking at every level!
She has smashed the “cookie cutter” tedium, and brought it all into an entirely different level!

I saw her giving an interview with Cyndy [sic] Lauper on the subject of Women and Aids..performing live at the piano with Elton, and she’s all over You Tube in all kinds of colors, shapes and forms.
Wow!! She’s the real deal..love it love it!

Do you agree with Annie, ONTD? Is Gaga really groundbreaking? I love Annie & I like Gaga, but I'm not sure she's doing anything really new.

It looks like life is imitating art for Mark Indelicato. The adorable actor will intern at Teen Vogue when his series ends this spring. Already a TV darling, the star would like the cameras to follow his foray into the real-life world of fashion.

“I want to have a reality show about it. My boss said he’s determined to make me cry. He said it makes good TV,” Mark told In Touch at Joonbug.com’s Style 360 kickoff party with a fashionable farewell to ABC’s Ugly Betty in New York on February 13.

The 15-year-old student at New York’s prestigious Professional Performing Arts School will miss his co-stars as the comedy wraps up its fourth and final season, but he remains optimistic about the future. “I think we’ll all go to bigger and better things, and it’ll be perfect — everything is going to be fabulous,” he happily added.

For those who ask 'Why are the Kardashians famous?'

The Kardashian phenomenon
The sisters have created an empire despite their lack of traditional talents that lead to stardom. And it's not all sex appeal and scandal -- their tight-knit family seems to be part of the draw.

When a reality show about the Kardashian sisters of Calabasas debuted in fall 2007, most people had never heard of the family and what was known could scarcely be considered positive.

Their late father, a lawyer, helped O.J. Simpson win acquittal at his murder trial; middle daughter Kim palled around nightclubs with Paris Hilton; and a graphic sex tape featuring the brunet and a former boyfriend ended up in the hands of a porn distributor.

Two and a half years later, the Kardashians are an inescapable cultural and commercial force. Their series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which concludes its fourth season Sunday on E, has shattered viewership records for the cable network and spawned a spin-off show. Kim Kardashian.com is the world's most popular official celebrity website, according to its operator. Checkout-aisle magazines and gossip blogs cover the smallest details of the sisters' lives. And Madison Avenue calls on the family to sell mainstream America everything, from diet pills and orange juice to NASCAR and fast food.

Their popularity comes despite the fact that the sisters lack the talents that traditionally lead to superstardom and, some believe, partly because of it.

Daily Telegraph - Alexander McQueen Was No Genius

Hosted by imgur.com

Reading the reports of Alexander McQueen’s death you would think we had lost an Oscar Wilde or a Jimi Hendrix. “He was a genius,” says Katharine Hamnett. “What a terrible tragic waste.” “His brilliant imagination knew no bounds,” says Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman. I’m always skeptical when the word “genius” is bandied about by the fashionista — more or less everything is “genius” in their world, as in, “Love that belt, darling. It’s genius.” I oversaw an Alexander McQueen fashion shoot for Vanity Fair’s Cool Britannia issue in 1996...

Pickle 'more popular than Nickelback'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A Facebook group has achieved its goal of getting more online fans for an ordinary pickle than for Nickelback.

The social-networking group, titled 'Can this pickle get more fans than Nickelback?', was started on February 8 to voice popular disdain for the US CANADIAN rockers.

Nickelback currently have 1,413,167 Facebook followers, although their total was surpassed yesterday when the pickle managed to climb to 1,414,000 fans.

Meanwhile, a similar attempt on the site to get a sausage roll more fans than Cheryl Cole has so far only accrued around 1 million followers.

Kirsten Dunst's New Cosplaytastic Music Video

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and (well you get the picture) for things to turn around for Kirsten Dunst. I've loved Kiki long time. Somewhere in the middle of building a rep as one of our best young actresses the public began to turn wildly against her, spurred on by uncontrollable Gyllenhaalism (how dare she dump him?) and snowballing Mary Jane Watson fatigue.

So I'm totally happy to point you to this video "Akihabara Majokko Princess", a collaboration between artist Takashi Murakami and director McG in which Kiki sings "Turning Japanese". Pointed you towards paparazzi shots of this online awhile ago and have been waiting for the actual video to show up. Click on any of the pics in this post and it'll take you there (but be patient... it configures a bit strangely. And it's a bit NSFW since Murakami loves cartoon nudity)

Her voice is processed here but if you've ever watched the end credits of The Cat's Meow you'd know that she is one of the actual movie stars that they should look at for film musicals. In other words, girl can sing. You can read an interview about this project here. I love it when celebrity actors do weird left field projects inbetween movies. Not that she has all that many movies in the works...

But things will turn around. They will. They must.

Raekwon on 'Wu-Massacre,' the future of the Wu-Tang Clan, his label dreams, and more: The Music Mix Q&A

Last fall’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Part II was a milestone for Raekwon. The long-promised sequel to the Wu-Tang Clan member’s 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx drew stronger reviews than he’d seen in many years and hit the Billboard 200’s top five the week of its release. Considering the six-year pause that preceded Cuban Linx II, you might expect Rae to be resting on his laurels right about now.

Hardly. He returns March 30 with Wu-Massacre (pictured), a full-length collaboration with his Wu brothers Method Man and Ghostface Killah; after that, it’s back to work on Rae’s next solo album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang. To take a breather from recording might risk losing momentum, which he’s simply unwilling to do. “Right now, I’m tired as hell,” Raekwon admits, sitting at a conference table at EMI Records’ NYC office with a red-and-blue New York Giants hoodie pulled low over his forehead. “But it’s a job.”

Don't worry. Roman Polanski's career is fine.

Roman Polanski may not have been in attendance at the Berlin International Film Festival, but that didn't stop him from winning the Best Director award for his film The Ghost Writer. The Hollywood Reperter seems to think the award, which was given by a panel led by Werner Herzog, was less about the film than "a signal of solidarity with the director." Holed up in his Swiss chalet, Polanski sent a statement through one of his producers: "Even if I could come, I wouldn't," Polanski said. "Because the last time I went to a festival to accept an award, I ended up in jail."

Musicians meet secretly in Vancouver for Haiti benefit single

40 vocalists and performers to record K'naan single Wavin' Flag

Canadian musicians are waving the Maple Leaf for Haiti, secretly recording a benefit single for the earthquake-ravaged country.

Famed Canadian music producer Bob Ezrin is spearheading the project, which will include Somalian-born Canadian rapper K'naan, performing the K'naan hit song Wavin' Flag . The recording is taking place Thursday at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, which was founded by Bryan Adams. The new Olympic anthem-in-the-making was recorded on the fly amidst all the excitement of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

“They've pulled this together so quickly,” Adrienne Kakoullis of Holmes Creative Communications said Thursday afternoon. “They're in the studio right now.”

Although details are still sketchy, she confirmed that about 40 Canadian vocalists and performers had gathered to record a new version of the song Wavin' Flag .

Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, Feist, Nickleback, Emily Haines, Ron Sexsmith and Colin James are just a few of the Canadian performing artists currently in Vancouver for the Olympic Games who may have lent their voices to the super-group recording which sounds similar to We Are the World , the 1985 charity single for African famine relief. Diana Krall is also in town, as is Broken Social Scene.

Comedians Parody Iconic Cheryl + Beyonce Performances For Charity

Katy Brand and Rufus Hound have been voted into the final of this year’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief. The comedy based show returned to our screens tonight and delivered some hilarious performances from stand up comedians, actors and sports personalities.

We have a full run down of tonight’s show here and there is no doubt that Katy Brand’s routine to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ and Rufus Hound’s ‘Fight For This Love’ stole the show for us. Rufus looked amazing in his full military regalia and as Jason Manford said: ‘If it wasn’t for the beard….I so would!’

Katy looked amazing (LMFAO OKAY SOURCE) in her skintight black leotard and proved that she really should wear a bit more slap in future. She looked smoking hot tonight and she pulled off some fabulous moves and butt slapping action.

Who were you rooting for tonight and do you think the judges made the right decision in putting through Katy over the Holby/Casulaty gang? Leave your comments below.

Naomi poses with her boyfriend....and his wife and child

THIS IS the picture no one thought possible - Russian billionaire Vladimir Doronin, his supermodel girlfriend Naomi Campbell PLUS his wife and daughter posing TOGETHER and smiling for the camera.

Just months ago we reported that Vlad's missus and childhood sweetheart Ekaterina got angry at the very mention of Naomi's name after her hubby fell for the model at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.

Last March we revealed how London-based Ekaterina told pals: "This is just a ridiculous affair. Naomi's deluding herself if she thinks she can take my husband."

But other friends insist Mr and Mrs Vlad had been drifting apart and hadn't lived together properly for 10 years. And last month Naomi moved into the property magnate's Moscow penthouse.

When Vlad's in London he regularly visits Ekaterina and 13-year-old daughter Katia - and recently introduced Naomi.

That led to her inviting the girls to her Fashion for Relief fundraiser for Haiti earthquake victims on Thursday - scene of our cosy family photo.

Vlad, 47, explained: "I've maintained a good relationship with my wife and Katia, and was very pleased they were able to join me in supporting Naomi."

Naomi, 39, added: "It was a really special night and lovely to be together, we had a great time."
