The Open Letter To PETA By Kelis is Bu*****t!

Note: This is a response to Kelis' open letter to PETA, which we wanked about here on ONTD.

Wow, I just read Kelis' open letter to PETA and to be honest, its such BS I don't even know where to start so let's break it down one ignorant sentence at a time. She seems to like the word "rodent"- personally I have no issues with those little critters but if there's a dirty pest here, it's Kelis herself. Now to dissecting this hateful letter...Here it goes...In her letter she writes,

(1) "There is no humane way to kill anything, let me start there. It¹sunfortunate but it¹s part of life."

(2) "With that being said, I would eat pterodactyl if you found some and you told me it was meaty and delicious."

(3) "I found out that the founder Ingrid Newkirk is completely batty. I had a feeling but she far exceeded my expectations. I mean certifiably insane! Lol this chicks will is nuts, google it it¹s a riot! Beyond the fact that I think she¹s a diabetic, which means she needs insulin, which is taken from lab pigs (I know this because my sister happens to be in veterinary school), which would be completely hypocritical. It¹s like don¹t abuse animals unless it can help me."

A&E to Jackson Bros -- The Offer's on the Table

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon, and Tito may be as tired of their A&E show as everybody else in America -- we're told the network has already offered them a second season ... but so far, the bros. haven't bitten.

TMZ spoke with a rep for A&E, who confirmed the offer and told us the network would gladly have MJ's male siblings back for another round of "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" -- which airs its last episode this Sunday.

But there's one problem: we're told the brothers haven't responded to the offer yet.

It's unclear why the brothers wouldn't jump at the chance for a paycheck ... but then again, it's the Jacksons ... so nothing is ever as it seems.

I didn't watch the first season, so chances are I wouldn't watch a second one. So, ONTD, did you watch the first season? & would you tune in to a second season were the brothers to sign on to it?

La Toya Jackson Wants Simon Cowell's Seat

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
La Toya Jackson is next in line to fill Simon Cowell's shoes on "American Idol" -- that's if La Toya Jackson has anything to do with it.

We're told MJ's sister and former "Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe cozied up at a housewarming party for Kathy Hilton in Bel Air recently -- before Simon broke his big news -- and the topic came up of La Toya possibly guest-judging on the show.

But now that Simon's out of the picture, La Toya wants more.

We spoke to her and she tells TMZ: "I would LOVE to be a judge on 'American Idol.' I would love to have a chance for the public get to know the real me. I would be thrilled."

Cheryl Cole to perform on Brit Awards

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cheryl Cole has been confirmed to perform at the Brit Awards next month.

The Girls Aloud singer, who topped the chart with debut solo album 3 Words in November, will sing live at the annual music ceremony on February 16.

Lady GaGa, Kasabian, JLS and Robbie Williams will also perform at the event, which marks its 30th anniversary this year.
Meanwhile, Dizzee Rascal and Florence and the Machine are expected to team up to perform a mash-up of their two recent singles, dubbed 'You Got The Dirtee Love'.

"It's an exciting lineup," said Ged Doherty, chairman of the Brits Committee. "These acts are young, vibrant and hugely talented. Each brings something different to the Brits party. With Robbie Williams already confirmed and more surprises in store, Brits 30 will be the music event of the year."

The Brits nominations launch takes place on January 18. The event will be broadcast on ITV2 on January 19 at 8pm.
Girls Aloud's 'The Promise' scooped the 'Best Single' prize at the Brit Awards last year. Cole later revealed that receiving the gong was a highlight of her music career.

The Cooper-Zellwegers move in together

Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have reportedly paid out more than 3.1 million pounds for their first joint home. The couple, who have been dating since last summer, were rumoured to be looking for a love nest towards the end of last year, reports the Daily Express.
According to RealEstalker, the stars have now found a three-bedroom property in Pacific Palisades, California. The property will reportedly undergo renovation before the couple moves in.
The move marks the first time that Zellweger has lived in LA since she relocated to New York State in 2004.

Pushing Daisies rises from the dead. Sort of.

If you were a fan of ABC's canceled Pushing Daisies, you know it centered on a lovelorn pie maker who could raise people from the dead.

Well, looks like the show itself is rising from the dead. Sort of.

Chi McBride, who played detective Emerson Cod, told us that series creator Bryan Fuller has begun writing the graphic novel follow-up about which we first reported last year, and McBride has actually seen the first few pages.

"Bryan's doing a graphic novel," McBride said in an interview last week in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting his new Fox TV series Human Target. "He sent me a couple pages. It was off the hook. It's really good."

The story of the graphic novel makes liberal use of the show's re-animation concept. "Well, it's a whole thing about a whole bunch of corpses coming to life," McBride revealed. "That's all I know so far, but Bryan was kind enough to share the first few pages. It really looks good."

Tonally, McBride said Fuller has given the graphic novel more edge than he could on prime-time television. "It seems a little darker, which is a lot of things that Bryan couldn't do," McBride said. "There's one particular story that I hope he does called 'The Head.' I wished he could've done it during the series. It was awesome."

The show was noted for its surreal visual style, with dandelion cars and pie-shaped restaurants. McBride said it translates well into comic form. "Yeah, it does, but I haven't seen it completed, so I want to see how it comes out. [It's] pretty cool, pretty cool. It's kind of fun to have that down there, because that's around somewhere for all time, just like TV."

McBride added that the graphic novel serves as a good reward to the viewers who stuck by the show, even though there weren't enough to keep it on the air. "It is tough to let go of something you really like," McBride said. "We had an extremely loyal fan base, so I'm glad they're going to be able to get something to continue on and more so, wrap up the continuation of these characters' lives."

We're stoked! Will you be reading it?

What say you, PD fans? If it's good enough for Emerson Cod, then it's good enough for me.

Live - Conan O'Brien Supporters Rally in the Rain

Image and video hosting by TinyPic We're live at Universal Studios in Hollywood, where Conan O'Brien supporters are gathering -- in the rain -- to protest NBC's mistreatment of their giant, red-headed late night hero.

The protest -- which gained a lot of support on Facebook -- was set to start at 12 PM PT, but a bunch of Conan's brave, raincoat-clad faithful have been hanging around near the "The Tonight Show" studio for hours.

So far, Jeff Zucker is not one of those people.

We're told "The Tonight Show" has handed out doughnuts and coffee to the supporters.

BTW: Conan rallies are also set to go off today outside of NBC studios in Chicago and 30 Rockefellar Center in New York City.

Did Bill Paxton really just say that?

One of The Golden Globes most memorable moments was Michael C. Hall's victory in the Best Actor, TV Series Drama category for his wonderful work on "Dexter." Not only was this win long overdue, but the timing was even sweeter following last week's admission that Michael's been receiving treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

However, at least one person in the Shrine Auditorium might have felt that sympathy factored in to Michael's win, his category rival, Bill Paxton. I'm no lip reader, but it looks suspiciously like the "Big Love" loser says something about "the cancer card" when the camera cuts to him during Michael's walk to the podium.

Here is the video:

What do you think ONTD? It does look like he's saying "cancer card" at the end there but idk

Edit: Okay so apparently this was discussed before in comments or whatever, I didn't see it, so sorry.

The horror! A woman who doesn't shave her legs! Let's stone her

The internets are going nuts over this photo of Golden Globe winner Mo'nique, who is well-known for not giving a bleep about shaving her legs. Here are some examples of the outrage:

"Ewwy, come on, you're dressing up and going to an awards show, couldn't you at least shave, wax, whatever for once in your life?"

"She's shoving it in our face and its inappropriate."

"Fowl and disappointing...I'm a Mo'Nique fan but now everytime I see her I'll never get this picture out of my mind."

Badass motherf'er KINGSLEY to make his B'wood debut with the badassiest of all motherf'ers BACHCHAN

Ben Kingsley to make Bollywood debut in ‘Teen Patti’

British actor Sir Ben Kingsley—best-known for his Oscar-winning performance as the famous Indian independence leader in Gandhi (1982)—will appear in his first Bollywood film, Teen Patti, set to release on February 26.

Kingsley, 65, is part of a star-studded cast that includes Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan as well as such prominent Indian actors as Irrfan Khan, Boman Irani, R. Madhavan, and Sushmita Sen. Ajay Devgan makes a special appearance.

In the thriller, Kingsley plays a world-famous mathematician who meets Bachchan’s character, an obscure Indian math genius, at a casino in London, and the two scholars of probability become embroiled in Mumbai’s underground poker scene.

Kingsley is also set to play the emperor who built the Taj Mahal opposite Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will play the emperor’s beloved wife, in Taj, a film about the legendary lovers. Shooting for the film is scheduled to start in July, primarily in the Indian city of Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located. Taj is expected to release in 2011.

tl;dr So basically this is "21" with adults, and has Gandhi, the quintessential Young Angry Man, the cop from Slumdog Millionaire, the cop from Don, the hot teacher from Main Hoon Na, AND the Indian Othello in it.

Also, please recommend your favorite B'wood movies. I just started watching them regularly, and need to know what to Netflix. I seem to be enjoying the epic love stories like Veer-Zaara and Parineeta (see icon), but I'm open. Thanks!

LC Doesn't Give A Fuck About Heidi's Surgeries.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As her costars express surprise and concern about The Hills's Heidi Montag – who made the shocking decision to overhaul her body with 10 surgeries in one day – castmate Lo Bosworth points out that the real danger lies in the message she's sending.

"I hope that girls don't read the article, look at the decisions that Heidi made, and think that's normal," Bosworth tells PEOPLE. "She was quoted as saying that [practically] every celebrity in Hollywood has these procedures done, every day . . . And that's just not true. I would never want young girls to read that and think it's the standard that they need to be measured by."

Still, the fellow 23-year-old is not anti-cosmetic surgery. "I am not against it," Bosworth said while perusing the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge with her pal Lauren Conrad (who had no comment on Montag's surgeries). But for Bosworth, moderation is key.

"If some wrinkles come across my face, sure, I'll get a little Botox, it's not a big deal," she says. "I think you should do what you want to do to take care of yourself. I just hope that the girls who look up to us and watch us don't look at what Heidi did as the only way to be successful and beautiful."

Quentin Tarantino Gushes About 'Avatar' At The Golden Globes

'If I could go into a time machine and think like that and be able to do what he could do, that would be great,' director says of James Cameron's blockbuster.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Quentin Tarantino and James Cameron faced off in both the Best Director and Best Motion Picture - Drama categories at Sunday's Golden Globes. Each time, Cameron and his alien love story triumphed over Tarantino and his Nazi-scalping American soldiers. As "Inglourious Basterds" director Tarantino told MTV News at the show's red carpet, the win for Cameron's "Avatar" was well-deserved and he kind of wishes he could've pulled it off himself.

"I'm not James Cameron and I could never think like that — I don't think he could think like me either — but if I could go into a time machine and think like that and be able to do what he could do, that would be great," he told us.

It was a rough night for Tarantino. In addition to losing out twice to "Avatar," the writer/director also fell in the Best Screenplay category, as Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner won for "Up in the Air." "Basterds" wasn't completely shut out during the show, though — heavy favorite Christoph Waltz took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for his turn as a cold-blooded Nazi officer.

"Avatar" and "Basterds" will surely face off again in March at the Oscars. Nominations for those awards will be announced in early February and both films are expected to nab multiple nods. Even if Tarantino again is bested by "Avatar," the director is very much looking forward to another awards show coming later in 2010.

"[Y]ou know what I'm looking forward to next year?" he told us late last year. "I'm looking forward to Christoph Waltz winning Best Villain at the MTV Movie Awards!"

Double dud: Maria Sharapova and her new dress flop in Australia

Maria Sharapova was the talk of day one at the Australian Open even before her upset loss to Maria Kirilenko. The Russian beauty, whose signature has yet to dry on a $70 million contract extension with Nike, debuted a new dress for her first (and only) match at the first Grand Slam of 2010. Reviews were on par with Sharapova's disappointing performance on the court:

Busted Racquet: "The chiffon-thingy makes her look like The Little Mermaid circa 1968. Either that or Lillian Gish."

Busted Racquet's fashion plate friend: "It's bad camo negligee."

Forty Deuce: "I'm thinking it was cross-marketing."

Opponent Maria Kirilenko: "It was blue, I think, like POWERade."

Selected reaction from Twitter: @paulavergara: "I'm guessing Sharapova signed off on her dress design over the phone/sight unseen."

@GoToTennis: "As much as I hate Sharapova being upset in the first round - I'm relieved that her dress is out of the tournament."

@ant_cee "Sharapova's AusOpen dress looks like she got caught in some curtains en route to the court."

@exodusrex: "uhm...i was pulling for sharapova tonight, but there's 1 upside to her loss: i don't have to see that dress again."

@alejrocha: "She crashed into a peacock."

@TruBlu: "that hideous dress was a portent of things to come."

MTV's Angry Grandpa Stirs Up Controversy

"The Angry Grandpa," the XXL-patriarch of a trailer park livin' southern family has caused quite a bit of controversy with an aborted public service announcement on his web program, appropriately titled "The Angry Grandpa Show."

Before the 2nd episode kicks into high gear with Grandpa cracking a tooth during Sunday supper, the producer of the web show (one of Grandpa's sons) tries to get a PSA from TAG about a Haitian relief fund. When TAG realizes the PSA is about Haiti, he stops production. "I have nothing against those people," Grandpa says, "but how can I give a dollar when I ain't got no money in my pocket for myself?"

Grandpa, whose videos are a sensation on both MTV:Pranked and several shows on Tru-TV, commented this morning, "hey, God bless those people, but God needs to bless me, too. I am sorry they're out on the street, victims of the earthquake, but I'm about to be out on the street, a victim of the economy! I can't help someone else when I can't even help myself. This is all the fault of Congress, those no-nothin' blowhards all need to be fired. And then they should lose their Cobra insurance, so they know how the rest of us are trying to survive."

"The Angry Grandpa Show" airs exclusively on the web, with new episodes launching Sunday nights at Midnight on The Heyman Hustle Website. You can find this latest, controversial episode HERE

MTV and Tru-TV spokespeople were not available for comment at the time of publication.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Feels Bad He Mocked Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi'

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino feels bad he mocked his Jersey Shore costar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's "rolls" on last week's episode.

"I regret saying it because I have a sister and a mother, but at the same time, everything happened so quickly and that is what happened," The Situation, 27, told UsMagazine.com at the GBK Gift Lounge in West Hollywood Friday.

The Situation explains that tension had been building up -- and came to a head while the cast was having dinner in Las Vegas together.

"We were getting on each other's nerves," he says. "It just so happened that previously Snooki had said something to me and I immediately said something to her."

On the show, Snooki, 21, stormed out of dinner and admitted she'd battled an eating disorder. But she has since said she has no hard feelings -- and even occasionally "hooks up" with The Situation.

Check out the Golden Globe's craziest fashion faux pas

"It's not awkward at all," Snooki told E!'s Chelsea Handler. "If I wanna make out with him right now, I can. It's not weird."

The Situation also opened up to Us about all the star attention he's been receiving since appearing on the MTV hit -- like hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio at Hollywood hotspot Voyeur last week.

"Leo recited one of my lines from my show and that was so awesome," he said. "Everything is going so fast right now and we are meeting so many different people. I am shaking every hand and kissing every cheek, I am just being respectful."

TV Ratings Sunday

Some people watched this.

Nobody beats playoff football, not even rain soaked celebrities, as CBS got an overwhelming boost by the Jets/Chargers NFL Football playoff game in the first hour of primetime.

With the time-zone adjusted (and likely very close to the final) numbers in, the 67th Golden Globes scored a 5.4 adults 18-49 rating which was up 10% from the 4.9 rating last year. It’s average viewership hit 16.9 million, up 14% from last year’s 14.9 million, but still well down from most recent pre-strike years.

The series premiere of Fox’s Human Target was at least reasonably near the scoring rings with a 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. How it does in its regular timeslot will determine its future though. The return of Jack Bauer and 24 came in with a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating, down 12% from last season’s premiere. How much of that decline is due to Fox extending into the 10pm hour last night is hard to say.

Against the female demo targeted Golden Globes, ABC’s dramas were pushed down to series low original episode ratings, with Desperate Housewives 3.7 rating down 21% from last week, and Brothers & Sisters' 2.7 rating down 23% from last week. Housewives was down 27% from the episode that aired opposite, and out-rated, the Golden Globes in 2009.

CBS’ AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Jets and the Chargers and its post game extended to 8:07pm Eastern.

I watched the Golden Globes. What did you watch, ONTD?

It's a great day for America, everybody

Farrah Gets What She Deserves...

One of the young mothers from the MTV reality show "Teen Mom" was allegedly choked and then hit by her 54-year-old mom this weekend -- and mom is now facing domestic violence charges.

The Council Bluffs Police Department in Iowa tells TMZ Debra Danielson -- the mother of 18-year-old "Teen Mom" Farrah Abraham -- was arrested at around 1 PM on Saturday for suspicion of domestic abuse/serious assault.

According to cops, Farrah and Debra started arguing over childcare issues when Debra allegedly threw an MTV shirt at her daughter ... which landed "on or near" Farrah's baby, who started crying.

That's when Farrah claims she went off on her mother -- who then grabbed Farrah by the throat. Farrah told cops she pushed her mother's hand away from her throat, causing her mother to strike her on the right side of her head and mouth.

In the report, officers say they observed multiple cuts on the right side of Farrah's lips.

The story was first reported by the The Daily Nonpareil.

Honestly I don't know how it's taken her mother this long to choke this bitch. And it was a shirt that landed on OR NEAR the baby. STFU Farrah. Like you give a shit about that baby anyway. Her parents need to stop enabling her and kick her out on her ass and let her see how hard it is to actually be a mother.

I would like to thank the great people of ONTD for making my little post such a great success. You guys are awesome. <3

Vivienne Westwood Menswear Fall 2010

Mods: cut included (crosses fingers)

Darlings, you just can't make this shit up.

"Last night the press release for Westwood’s menswear collection, for Milan Fashion Week, declared: “Perhaps the oddest of heroes to emerge this season, Vivienne Westwood found inspiration in the roving vagrant whose daily get-up is a battle gear for the harsh weather conditions . . . Quilted bombers and snug hoodies also work well in keeping the vagrant warm.”

Yes. The homeless.
Of course, in the candy-colored world of Vivienne Westwood, homeless people are all young with great bodies, high cheekbones and flawless skin, and they all have super-styled hair and brightly colored clothes. And sometimes they'll walk around in big goofy hats or even teddy bear heads! Sometimes even a crown because they are homeless and therefore crazy.

The sighting comes after a big night the previous evening for Miss Barrymore, as she won Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her work on “Grey Gardens”. Telling the crowd that she wasn’t prepared to have to take the stage, the 34-year-old said, “The thing I didn’t do getting ready was prepare a speech.” Miss Barrymore later said, “I thought I was going to pass out on stage,” adding of her support system, “I have a great date. Jay Leno pretty much says it's NBC's fault

Jay Leno just finished his monologue tonight where he addressed the Conan O'Brien situation head-on, saying that in 2004 NBC didn't have faith Jay could remain #1 in the ratings.

Jay explained that NBC execs came to him five years ago and told him they wanted to give "The Tonight Show" to Conan because he was getting other offers. When Jay pointed out he was #1 in the ratings, Jay said the exec told him, "We don't think you can maintain that."

Leno said the network guaranteed him two years on the air. He said the network knew he'd get killed during the main TV season, but thought he'd excel against summer re-runs.

Jay said when the network approached him about doing a half-hour show at 11:35 PM, he was hesitant but said getting beat in the ratings humbled him.

He asked the network exec, "Do you think Conan will go for that?" The exec said yes.

Leno repeatedly complemented Conan, calling him a "gentleman" and saying, "Don't blame Conan O'Brien."

At the end of the day, Leno said, neither of them were delivering the ratings they should have been.

Amanda Seyfried Speaks; Remains Gorgeous While Doing So

Amanda Seyfried on Getting Tipsy for Love Scene
You wouldn’t think that two young actors like Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried would have trouble bringing the heat to their big screen love scenes but that’s the impression we got from our recent interview with Seyfried for the upcoming drama, Dear John. Of course, it doesn’t help that the scene in question is taking place in a barn and a crew of union workers is hanging on every move so it made sense when the actress told us that, in order to get things rolling, she needed to get just a wee bit “tipsy.”

I'm in the middle of Season 2 now, so yes, I was a little spoiled, but it's okay. I didn't see this posted and made sure to look it up to see that it wasn't. Anywho, the article might contain some old information but I thought it had some good stuff. Hope you enjoyed it :)

ETA: ilouboutin posted 2 possibly new pics that were in the source, so I decided to upload them :) I know it's a lot of text... so enjoy!

stranger bitch has a new album coming

The singer/songwriter capped 2009 with two Grammy nominations: best new artist and best rap/sung collaboration for "Knock You Down," featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo. Now Hilson is getting busy in the studio recording the still-untitled follow-up to her gold-certified solo debut, "In a Perfect World." Aiming for the Memorial Day holiday as a target release date, Interscope urban music head DJ Mormile promises that the three guiding lights behind Hilson's first album-Timbaland, Polow Da Don and Danjahandz-are back onboard. "They're the cornerstones," says Mormile, who also notes that West, Will.i.am and emerging songwriter/producer Jeff Bhasker will also be involved. And signs are pointing to fellow newcomer Drake being a featured guest as well. "We're just getting into this," says Mormile, who hopes to have a first single out in March, if not sooner. "But we already have an idea of what we want to do. This album will continue the evolution of Keri, building off the hits 'Knock You Down' and 'Turning Me On,' which helped define her. This new album will be 'Turning You On' times 10."

tbh, her first album sucked and i was expecting so much more.  i hope i will like the new one.

Attention Glee glam squad: You might want to stock up on some supersexy hair nets and low-cut aprons (if such a thing exists).

Executive producer Brad Falchuk confirms that Jennifer Lopez is in talks to come on the show this season as a cafeteria worker.

"Discussions are ongoing and we haven't gotten into the episode(s) she'd be appearing in," Falchuk tells me.

So it could be more than one episode? Mayhaps.

The Immaculate Mo'Nique Hopes Golden Globe Win Will Raise Molestation Awareness

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Winning the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture isn’t just about getting props in the entertainment community for Sunday night’s recipient Mo’Nique. Instead, the comedienne-turned-actress tells Pop Tarts she hopes that her coveted golden statue for “Precious” will bring more awareness to the prevalence of child abuse.

“I think for so long we have swept it under the carpet. For so long, when it is time to deal with that issue, and when it is time to deal with molestation inside the home, we walk away from it and we don't address it,” she said backstage. “So, oftentimes we live [with] those demons and are not really dealing with it. So we continue to have a damaged life, and it is time to stop that. It is time for us to heal and be survivors and no longer be victims.”

Bill Murray Joins Megan Fox And Mickey Rourke On Passion Play

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bill Murray replaces Toby Kebbell

After some run-of-the-mill though cherished comedies in the 80's and 90's, Bill Murray's career took an interesting turn in his much lauded performance in Lost in Translation. Ever since then pretty much every role he's chosen has been unique and yet perfect for the actor (even his turn as Garfield was genius casting even though the movie itself sucked). Murray keeps his interesting choices coming as Heat Vision reports that he has been cast as the villain in Mitch Glazer's romantic thriller Passion Play, which is shooting in New Mexico. Murray joins Megan Fox and Mickey Rourke in, quite literally, one circus freak of a story.

The period story tells the tale of a down-on-his-luck jazz trumpet player (Rourke) who forms a bond with a winged beauty (Fox) who's now part of a sideshow attraction at a carnival (see photo above). He finds some sort of redemption in his life when he saves this "angel" from a seedy gangster named Happy (Murray) who's intent on keeping them apart. Glazer (who also wrote the screenplay) worked with Murray as writer of the holiday comedy Scrooged. The concept itself doesn't exactly sound like the most subtle of dramas, with the metaphor of an angel bringing about redemption, but with a cast like this, I can't help but be intrigued.

This project is already shooting, and that photo at the top is actually from the set in New Mexico. Murray was hired to replace Toby Kebbell as the murderous mobster in this film. Quite a huge age difference for the character, but I'm sure they can make it work. We'll be following this project as it continues shooting.

Insensitive Assholes @ The New York Times

The Time's Moment blog was tweeting from the Golden Globes about all the going's on inside of the Golden Globes and had this very rude and insensitive comment:

"Is Michael C. Hall playing Bob Marley in an upcoming movie? Don't get the hat or what he is hiding under it."
After most likely being attacked with tweets from fans and people who actually know shit, the writer responded:
So sorry that Michael C. Hall has had cancer. Thanks for clarifying why he is wearing a knitted skull cap.

When you're working for an official news magazine and commentating on such a large award show not only should you know important facts like a cancer patient who is one of the largest television actors at the moment, but knowthe nominees at least.

Paranormal Activity 2 is going to be uglier than the late night battle.

'Paranormal Activity 2' rushing to theaters with 'Saw VI' director

Showing that Paramount intends to rake every dollar out of "Paranormal Activity" that it can, the studio has hired screenwriter Michael R. Perry and director Kevin Greutert to bring "Paranormal Activity 2" to theaters.  And not only is it coming, it's coming quick.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio intends to have the sequel face off against the next "Saw" this Halloween weekend.

While Oren Peli won't be directing the he told the trade "These guys get it, an the fans won't be disappointed."

Peli, who is producing alongside original partner Jason Blum, is putting a lot of confidence in Greutert, who edited the first five "Saw" movies and directed the sixth.  Perry, is a longtime TV writer ("The Guardian") who made waves on 2009's Black List (a competition where agents and execs select their favorite spec scripts).

No word on whether "Paranormal Activity 2" will be the film's actual title or what the storyline will be, but don't expect a massive increase in budget.  Peli has kept busy with "Area 51" which Paramount will release later this year.

The last time a phenomenon like "Paranormal" rushed out a sequel was a decade ago when "Book of Shadows: The Blair Witch Project 2" was a massive disappointment without the original filmmakers involved.  Peli and Blum appear to be involved to make sure that scenario doesn't repeat itself.

Are you up forward to another "Paranormal Activity"?  Share your thoughts below.

The first one wasn't even scary. Fuck that noise.

Michael Jackson's choreographer eyes 'big number' with Cebu dancing inmates

After making their tribute to the late "King of Pop" Michael Jackson following his death last year, inmates at a Cebu penitentiary got to meet - and learn from - the superstar's choreographer, who is supposedly planning a "big number" with them.

Radio dzBB's Cebu affiliate reported on Tuesday that Travis Payne was in the city for a two-day visit.

The report also cited Byron Garcia, Cebu capitol consultant on security matters, as saying that Payne is planning a "big production number" with the inmates.

However, Garcia did not elaborate on the matter.

DzBB's report also said that the dancing inmates of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center learned "The Drill" from Payne for two days.

"The Drill" was the last choreography Payne and Jackson collaborated on before Jackson died in June 2009.

Shortly after Jackson died, the inmates performed a tribute dance number based on Jackson's hit "Thriller." The video of the dance was uploaded to video sharing site YouTube.

The inmates gained fame for their choreographed dances of many hit songs. Videos of their dances are uploaded to YouTube.

The above video is the choreography for 'The Drill' from This Is It. I'm excited to see a sea of people perform it.

Brad & Matt For Happy Feet 2

Brad Pitt and Matt Damon will reportedly lend their voices to Happy Feet 2, a 3-D sequel to the 2006 animated film.

The two haven’t starred together since the Ocean’s movies, but are now signed up to voice unknown characters in the animated film directed by George Miller, according to Movieline. Although Warner Bros. has not officially announced this, Movieline reports that Brad and Matt have already begun recording for the movie last week.

Elijah Wood and Robin Williams, who voiced starring roles in the first hit movie will return for their roles. Happy Feet 2 will be released on November 18, 2011.

But who's gonna replace Brittany Murphy?

Neil Patrick Harris to Guest-Star on Glee

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Remember that giant scoop I told you (via Twitter) I had gotten at the Golden Globes? This is it: Neil Patrick Harris is nearing a deal to appear in the May sweeps Glee episode that’s being helmed by his Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog director, Joss Whedon.

In retrospect, maybe I should’ve called this particular scoop “ginormous.” I think it’s warranted, don’t you?

Anyway, Harris wants to do it, and Glee creator Ryan Murphy sure as hell wants him to — he’s creating a role especially for the How I Met Your Mother scene-stealer. And yes, the part includes a little song-’n'-dance. In fact, the gig not only would reunite Harris with Whedon, it’d also reteam him with Zachary Woodlee, who choreographed the musical number in HIMYM’s recent 100th episode.

The one possible snag — and there’s always one, isn’t there? CBS has to OK its MVP’s appearance on Fox’s breakout hit. But at least since HIMYM and Glee are both produced by 20th Century Fox, so there’s no conflict on their end.

So what do you think? Stoked, or stoked beyond belief? Try to describe your level of anticipation below. I know I can’t describe mine. At least not adequately.

I love Glee sfm, but they're using way too many guest stars
