King Kong actress Naomi Watts couldn't stop smiling as she got down to the serious business of playtime with her sons Sacha and Sammy in a Sydney park.
And her sunny mood was infectious. Two year-old Sacha – full name Alexander Pete Schreiber – was giggling with glee as his mum tickled and chased after him.
Naomi, who has passed her light blonde hair colour on to her boys, is clearly enjoying being back on her home turf for her winter break.
The 41-year-old, who is based in LA with her partner Liev Schreiber, also treated Sacha and his one-year-old brother to a visit to the beach.
There was no sign of Wolverine star Liev, however. The actor is understood to be in New York for previews of Broadway show A View from the Bridge, in which he's appearing with Scarlett Johansson.
During promotional interviews for the show, he has spoken about how having children has affected his and Naomi's lives with regards to work.
"Kids make a big difference. You want to be there all the time, and when you're both working, it's hard," he told America's Time Out magazine.
"You gotta negotiate with each other and support each other in that regard.
"I think it's harder when both of you are really busy. Like in any profession, it's difficult. You want to make sure you have time to invest in your family. It's a challenge but it's worth it."

The return of the HBIC of Wisteria Lane
So we're like those people who sell oranges on the side of the road?
Here’s Katharine McPhee, who once ruled this website along with her killer legs, performing on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and dropping some serious cleavage while doing so. Hoochie mama! As I said, I was once infatuated with McPhee’s killer pair of legs, but they’ve been officially overshadowed by her fantastic cleavage, and I can smell a Katharine McPhee comeback in the air (well, at least here on Popoholic) if she continues to give shwingtastic performances such as this one. Enjoy the pictures and check out the video to see everything in motion. Cheers.

Earlier today an alleged copy of the script for Eclipse leaked online. It's made it's way in several Twilight communities on Livejournal and elsewhere, so those who want to find it - it's not hard.
It's hilariously bad (not a surprise) but seems pretty spot on, and similar to the other movie scripts.
The best part and what makes this news-worthy?
Every page is watermarked with Jackson Rathbone's name. He is one of the main cast members and plays Jasper Hale in the movies... So, I bet Summit isn't too happy about this.

Marc Jacobs and his boyfriend Lorenzo Martone weren't only in St. Barts to take topless pictures for their Facebook pages, they were also there to get married! Guest of a Guest reports that after being engaged since March of last year, Marc and Lorenzo became husband and husband in a private ceremony. There's no picture of the actual ceremony, but I'll be disappointed if they didn't wear matching dick huggers. Let's just say they did...
After the ceremony, Marc and Lorenzo celebrated their new marriage at a reception hosted by fancy art person Larry Gagosian. And of course, even Marc's wedding topper had his nipples out.
You better believe that after the premium Andre started flowing, ho after ho took pictures of themselves doing nasty raunchy shit with Marc's topper. They turned that topper into a versatiler. The places that topper has been! But I would've done the same thing, which is exactly why I never get invited to weddings anymore.
Tila exclusively tells In Touch of Casey's tormented life
Just before Casey Johnson’s death, fiancée Tila Tequila exclusively tells In Touch about the horrible time Casey endured because she was tormented and teased by friends. “They are all just mean girls who pick on her,” said Tila. “I wish they would go on with their lives and leave us alone because we don’t have time for that pettiness.” Casey’s bitter fights with ex-girlfriend Courtenay Semel, daughter of former Yahoo chief Terry Semel, resulted in her hair being set on fire last October. “Courtenay is a crazy vile woman and she is the most evil person,” adds Tila. “She would bad mouth Casey all the time. I have text messages telling me that Casey is broke.”
Casey and Tila were engaged in December when the Johnson & Johnson heiress gave Tila a 17-carat diamond ring. Tila then goes on to say when she met Casey, she was surprised by how sweet Casey was. “I was so shocked because I thought she was going to be the crazy person that Courtenay was telling me. But she is the sweetest, cutest, most sensitive woman I’ve ever met in my life.” Casey was found dead at her Hollywood Hills house Monday morning, and police officials believe she had been dead for several days when the body was discovered.
he Beckham’s spent Christmas at Beckingham Palace in the UK prior to David rejoining Italian soccer team AC Milan.
The Beckhams sans David were spotted leaving Heathrow airport on Sunday enroute to LA.
Victoria is the latest celebrity to jump on the fur loving trend, by looking super dupa fly wearing an Isabel Marant Fall 2009 fur coat paired with a grey tank top, Stella McCartney ombre jeans, a grey fedora hat and Brian Atwood suede peep-toe ankle boots.
This is the second time Victoria has been seen wearing the coat.
She was first spotted wearing it in London when the Beckham’s went to see the play “Jersey Boys” at the Prince Edward Theater before Christmas.
I love this airport chic look, but I’m tiring of reading that Victoria doesn’t wear real fur.
Like her Antonio Berardi fur jacket this is as real as it comes.
I laughed out loud at the suggest on one Victoria Beckham forum that Victoria has designers custom faux fur pieces for her.
This is a woman who own a Himalayan Birkin which is made using the skins of 3 crocodiles. Plus she’s even carrying a new burgundy crocodile Birkin - a Christmas gift from David I’m guessing.

On "Hannah Montana," Brooke Shields plays Miley Cyrus' dead mother, but rumor has it that off-screen she is playing the role of Miley's high school guidance counselor.
Apparently, Shields' motherly instincts kicked in when the young starlet told her last year that she was planning to skip college. Even though toothpaste commercials don't require knowledge of French literature, Shields explained to the Miles that she is a better person for getting her degree from Princeton.
Now, the word is that Cyrus may be considering following in Shields' footsteps and applying to some Ivy League schools in 2010. I somehow can't see Miley Cyrus studying Proust, but I get Shields' point. An education never hurt anyone, especially a young rock star/actress who has been known to bare her midriff and make ignorant remarks. Even though many college grads do not end up doing anything remotely related to their undergrad degrees, the experience is about personal growth ... right?
But this begs the question: Do young starlets really need a college education if they're already successful? Let's compare Ivy League stars with their School of Life counterparts to see if a diploma really makes a difference.

His rep is still trying to confirm what happened -- but people who were with Coleman told the rep there were signs of a seizure.
Coleman was in Los Angeles doing interviews to promote a new movie. He did several interviews before being taken to the hospital.

Coleman was asked simple questions like "What month is it?" and whether or not he knew the name of anyone in the room -- Coleman was "foggy" and did not know the answers.

Artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood is expecting a baby with Aaron Johnson, the star of her debut film Nowhere Boy.
Taylor-Wood, 42, and Johnson, 19, began their relationship while making the John Lennon biopic last year and confirmed their engagement last November.
A spokesman for the pair told the Evening Standard on Wednesday: "We can confirm that Sam is pregnant with her and Aaron's first child. Both are very, very happy."
Taylor-Wood is already a mother to two daughters - Angelica, 12, and Jessie, three - from her 11-year marriage to art gallery owner Jay Jopling, who she divorced in 2008.
Speaking to the Guardian in November, Taylor-Wood explained she was uninterested in the 23-year age gap with Johnson, who has the lead role in Matthew Vaughan's upcoming action-comedy Kick-Ass.
"I've always lived my life as fearlessly as possible," Taylor-Wood explained.
"And going through all the crap I've been through, I don't really listen to other people's opinions, just follow my heart and my instincts."
I don't really know who these people are, but the post about them getting married got a lot of replies, so I thought some might be interested in the reason for their shotgun wedding.
Former Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams will see her name in lights next month when she high-kicks her way into the starring role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.
Williams, 29, will play the wannabe star-turned-murderess for a limited run in the hit musical from Feb. 8 to March 28.
Williams will be taking over from Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who debuted in the revival on Dec. 1. (A winner of six Tonys, this production of Chicago has been running on Broadway for 13 years.)
Williams first played Roxie last year in London's West End production.
Williams, who won three Grammy Awards while she was with Destiny’s Child, has since released three solo albums and in 2003 made her Broadway debut in Aida, replacing fellow singer Toni Braxton. She also performed in the national tour of The Color Purple.
At 40, Jennifer Lopez isn't slowing down. If anything, she's embracing life and not letting anyone hold her back. "What, because I have kids and a husband now I'm not supposed to be me? I'm a more heightened me if anything. Hyper J.Lo. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now," Lopez reveals in the February issue of ELLE. After the jump, Lopez gets candid about motherhood, in vitro fertilization and what it's like competing with twenty-something pop idols as a 40-year-old mom.
On why she never considered in vitro fertilization: "When it comes to family and relationships, I'm quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don't mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it's not, it's not going to."
On the merit of her romantic comedies: "I think 'Maid in Manhattan' and 'Monster-in-Law' are very layered movies. And that's why they're so successful. People don't like sh--ty romantic comedies. Nothing that's sh--ty is going to make $100 million."
On competing with twenty-something pop idols as a 40-year-old mom: "This is what I do--what, because I have kids and a husband now I'm not supposed to be me? I'm a more heightened me if anything. Hyper J.Lo. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now. And that doesn't mean material things; it means to explore more, to think more. Being an artist doesn't start because you're 21, and it doesn't end because you're 51. You are who you are until the day you die."

It all went down at the grand opening of Vanity nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel -- which was hosted by Diddy. We're told Floyd Mayweather rolled over to the party to see Diddy, when he literally ran into rapper Rick Ross.
Sources tell TMZ one of the men "bumped" into the other man and their entourages immediately became "confrontational."
But as things started to heat up, we're told Diddy swooped in between the guys and calmed everyone down.
We called Mayweather's camp for comment and his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., told us there's been beef between Floyd and Ross for a while because Ross has allegedly been, "talking s**t."
We're told both Mayweather Jr. and Ross eventually went back in the club and partied the rest of the night away without incident.
Calls to Rick Ross were not returned. No comment from Camp Diddy.
Forget that undeniably lovable -- but undeniably similar -- Michael Cera we saw in fan favorites like 'Superbad,' 'Juno' and 'Arrested Development.' We're about to see an entirely new Michael Cera in January's 'Youth in Revolt.'

Of course, this is his character's fictional alter-ego, Francois Dillinger, a Frenchman in tight clothes and with a towering libido. (Cera also plays Nick Twisp, the typical lovestruck namby-mamby we know and love, who falls for Portia Doubleday and is committed to winning her over by showing his rebellious side.)
Moviefone caught up with the real Michael Cera to talk about his 'Youth'-ful roles and future endeavors -- yes, including that 'Arrested Development' movie.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wasn’t the only Jersey Shore cast member involved in a physical altercation on the reality show. Her costar Ronnie Magro was arrested in September after getting into a fight with another man in front of MTV’s cameras.
According to Thomas Boyd, the police chief of Seaside Heights, N.J., where the MTV hit was filmed, Magro — who also goes by Ronnie Ortiz-Magro — was arrested Sept. 4 (under the name Ronnie Ortiz) for aggravated assault for striking a man with a closed fist. Footage of the altercation will air in a future Jersey Shore episode.
Magro, 24, tells PEOPLE that he received a letter in the mail saying that the charges have been dismissed, but adds that he did spend a few hours in jail, had a mug shot taken and paid about $600 for bail.
“I definitely felt out of place,” he says of being behind bars. “It’s definitely a place I never want to go back to again. Definitely a lesson learned.”
However, Mike Mohl, chief of detectives with the Ocean County prosecutor’s office, says the case is now with prosecutors and is under review for further action.
Still, Magro places much of the blame on the other party, who he says provoked him while he was walking home from a bar with Snooki and their costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. Magro says that the other person involved in the fight was being disrespectful to his friends, shouted “racist” remarks at their African-American security guards and might have spat on him.
“I really don’t feel bad for the altercations that I did get into in Seaside because I’m really not a person who likes to fight,” Magro tells PEOPLE. “He was just being a drunk jerk, saw the camera … [and] I think he chased us down like two blocks or something like that. At that point, you’re like, ‘What am I gonna do?’”
Magro, who also gets into a separate brawl on the Jan. 7 episode, says he was acting in self-defense. “You’ll see throughout the show, we do go out and if we do get into an altercation,” he says. “It’s us just defending ourselves or reacting to somebody else.”
Does Magro have any regrets? “People [were] out of hand,” he says. “I regret getting arrested. I don’t regret having the fight.”
They’re known for getting celebrities to endorse their anti-animal cruelty campaigns, but it seems PETA has gone too far with their new ads.
According to a report, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization used First Lady Michelle Obama’s picture on a new poster, placing her alongside animal rights advocates Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Underwood, and Tyra Banks.
Unfortunately, they never got Mrs. Obama’s permission to do so, and now the White House is up in arms about the whole ordeal.
PETA president Ingrid Newkirk told press, “The fact is that Michelle Obama has issued a statement indicating that she doesn’t wear fur, and the world should know that in PETA’s eyes, that makes her pretty fabulous.”
Natalie Portman covers February's Elle UK, and in her interview she discusses the sorts of roles she doesn't like to take on--overtly Jewish characters, one-dimensional girlfriends and sex bombs. Earlier this year Jerusalem-born Natalie broke one of her rules and played a Hasidic bride in 'New York, I Love You.' She now stars in the war drama 'Brothers' opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.
On playing Jewish characters:
"I've always tried to stay away from playing Jews. I get like 20 Holocaust scripts a month, but I hate the genre. That was the first thing to come my way (New York, I Love You) that really intrigued me."
On rom-com roles:
"It wasn't that I didn't want to do comedy. It's just that I would only get offered girlfriend parts in guy comedies, which aren't exciting to me, or those offensive roles in romantic comedies where the woman has to have a join fashion so that she can have nice clothes, and her goal is always marriage."
On her role as a precocious 12-year-old in 'Leon' ('The Professional'):
"There was a lot of controversy about the whole Lolita thing. My parents were super-protective about it, but I got a lot of weird letters. It was really upsetting. I didn't want to be seen as a sex object, so I went in the opposite direction. I'm definitely not a prude about sex or nudity, I just don't want to do something that will end up as a screen grab on a porn site."

The Oscar-winning actress has revealed Henry is fascinated with ladies' chests, but thinks her boobs are the best. You're onto something, kid.

The 'Lovely Bones' star also revealed she hopes Henry won't follow in her thespian footsteps, despite catching the acting bug after seeing her perform in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' on the London stage last year.
She told Esquire magazine: "His dad brought him in after a matinee to watch the curtain call and he figured out bowing and getting claps. So, yesterday, he put on his policeman's outfit and bowed. That was the show. I hope he's not an actor - I'd dissuade him as hard as I could."
Who's your celebrity wife/husband/life-partner, ONTD?
Anyone who did a post-turkey Twitter check on Christmas day (and really, who didn't?) heard the news that actor Charlie Sheen had been arrested for allegations of domestic violence. We've heard the 911 call from his wife, Brooke Mueller, and the reports that the couple was drinking all night. We heard about the knife. A scandal like would ruin the career of plenty of celebs. Tiger Woods is practically hemorrhaging endorsement deals.
But the public seems to forgive Sheen, no matter how many times he screws up. He's dated porn stars, slept with prostitutes, been in and out of rehab and been accused of domestic violence and porn addiction. And still, people watch his shows, buy tickets to his film and leave comments about how much they love him under stories about his arrests. So, will the most recent Sheen scandal ruin the 'Two and a Half Men' star's career? Probably not. At least, not if you look at the way things have gone for him in the past.
In 1995, he admitted to using Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss' call girl service 27 times. He was sued by a woman who alleged that Sheen struck her in the head for refusing to have sex with him. He also admitted in videotaped testimony at the 1995 federal trial of Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss that he ordered her call girls at least 27 times, running up a tab of more than $50,000. In 1996, he shows up on the hit show 'Friends'.
On May 22, 1998, Sheen was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after consuming excessive amounts of drugs and alcohol, prompting his father Martin Sheen to make a public statement about his health. In 2000, he was cast as the new lead on 'Spin City,' winning a Golden Globe for his performance.
In 2005, his pregnant wife Denise Richards filed for divorce, alleging that Sheen was violent and addicted to gambling, prostitutes and porn. 'Two and a Half Men' continues to rise in the ratings. And they remain strong, even after his controversial statements about the 9/11 attacks this past September.
So, why do people continue to forgive Charlie Sheen? Our guess is, the public is willing to forgive stars who make fun of themselves. Hey, we forgave Hugh Grant his prostitute scandal after his appearance with Jay Leno and Rob Lowe's jokes about his sex tapes certainly didn't hurt his career. (Tiger, are you listening?) Sheen continues to make jokes about his past. He's playing a fictionalized version of himself right now. And as of yesterday, he was back at work on 'Two and a Half Men,' which, despite the scandal, blew away the competition with stellar ratings this past Monday.
But will allegedly pulling a knife on the mother of his children be the last straw? Domestic violence is no joke, and whether or not Sheen is charged, he'd do well to use this as an opportunity to start a discussion about domestic violence and addiction.
I had honestly forgotten about all this shit he's gotten away with, kind of crazy to see it all lined up like that. Lilo clearly needs a better publicist..
Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl in Glamour Magazine.
Seems like everyone I know is getting a little hot and bothered about Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford these days. (Even Smitten’s own Shallon Lester has admitted to having, um, a little crush on the blue-eyed, baby-faced star.) And if you take a quick look at these pictures from our February issue, you’ll see why.
Since the show is on hiatus until March 8th, I thought you might need a little
Chace GG fix to get you through the winter. Without further ado, here’s a little sneak peek at my interview with him—during which, for all you die-hard GG fans, he ate a burger and fries from Sonic. You know you love it—and him!
GLAMOUR: Is it hard to believe this is your life?
CHACE CRAWFORD: It’s incredible. No one had to twist my arm for this shoot!
GLAMOUR: Your costar Penn Badgley has said you’re one of the most positive guys he’s met. What’s your reputation on set?
CC: A diva. Just completely out of control. [Laughs.] Really, I’m pretty laid-back, always cracking jokes. Sometimes people will say something to me like, “You’re actually funny!” I’m like, “Thank you?”
GLAMOUR: Ha! So have you ever dated a girl as high-maintenance as Blair Waldorf?
CC: I’ve never even come close to meeting someone that high-maintenance!
GLAMOUR: Are you looking for a girlfriend?
CC: I’m 24 [and] in New York City, so I’m not exactly coming home every night plucking the violin strings. But when it happens, it happens.
GLAMOUR: Do you Twitter or Facebook?
CC: No. I even start to resent my phone because I’m on it so much.
GLAMOUR: Is it true that you were a parking valet in college?
CC: Yeah. But I never learned to drive stick before that. I said to my best friend, who got me the job, “Bro, you’ve got to take me out to a parking lot right now.” He goes, “What car?” I’m like,“Yours!”
GLAMOUR: In school you studied broadcast journalism; were you hoping to be the next Matt Lauer?
CC: No, although Matt Lauer would’ve been nice—or Anderson Cooper!
GLAMOUR: Did you do any acting growing up?
CC: I was really good at impersonating all my teachers.
GLAMOUR: Ever worry about what you’ll do if the show’s success fizzles out?
CC: Well, my grandparents tell me, “You have such a great apartment. We hope you can keep it!” “Yeah, me too, Granddad. Thanks.”
GLAMOUR: You’re going to be filming the remake of Footloose. Do you see Dancing With the Stars in your future?
CC: That’s what my mom asked! I hope not!
So ladies, what do you think? Did your crush increase tenfold? Surprised by his previous valet gig? Have you had any crazy “I don’t know what I’m doing” jobs before? Feel free to pour your heart about GG and CC—we’re all friends here after all.( Collapse )( Collapse )
The tweets had fans of Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy salivating. With both bands in between projects at the moment (will this be the year we finally get the new Blink record?), speculation was rampant about what the two were up to. Well, we have the answer.
In an e-mail to MTV News, Wentz revealed that he and Hoppus had completed a song for the soundtrack to Tim Burton's upcoming "Alice in Wonderland," the same soundtrack that features a new song from All Time Low.
"We did a song for 'Alice in Wonderland,' [and we] might do a few more depending on when [Mark] goes in with Blink. [It] sounds nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy. Mark understands songwriting on a completely different level. It's awesome to have a chance to sit in a room with him and watch him work out a melody."
Wentz added that, though he and Hoppus plan to record more songs, this isn't the beginning of some new supergroup. It's more like two friends getting together and jamming. After all, both of them have rather open schedules at the moment.
"It's just for fun. It's not a band or even a project at this state," Wentz wrote. "I think between me getting Starbuck's on TMZ and him gearing up for a summer of Blink, we have a lot on our hands."
A spokesperson for Walt Disney Records — who will be releasing the soundtrack — told MTV News that at the moment, no track list has been confirmed but an announcement will be made "in the coming weeks."
I'm... rather intrigued to hear what it sounds like.
Universal Pictures has announced that Grammy Award winning producer Pharrell Williams will write original music for their upcoming 3-D CGI feature "Despicable Me." In addition to composing original songs, Williams will also contribute to the orchestral score, collaborating with Hans Zimmer and Heitor Pereira.
"I love cartoons and animation, and I've never seen such incredible 3-D CGI," Williams said. "To score 'Despicable Me' along with Hans and Heitor and write original songs for the film is a dream come true."
Speaking about Williams' involvement, as well as his collaboration with Academy Award winning composer Zimmer, producer Chris Meledandri said, "Pharrell is one of the most important contemporary songwriters, Hans is one of the truly great film composers and Heitor is the next generation of Hans' protégés. This is an extraordinary teaming of talent. With every note they write, our film is being enriched."
"Despicable Me," which features voices by Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, Miranda Cosgrove, Jack McBrayer, Mindy Kaling, Jemaine Clement and Julie Andrews, arrives in theaters on July 9, 2010.
Here's the "Despicable Me" trailer, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Dear John actress Amanda Seyfried shows off her gorgeous smile on the February 2010 cover of Lucky magazine, on newsstands nationwide this week!
The 24-year-old beauty, who rocked a cashmere swearer by Rebecca Taylor on the cover, spoke about her work schedule and how she’d like to decorate her place.
On working all the time: “I keep jumping from project to project. But I can’t stay still right now; I feel too inspired!”
On her decoration inspiration: “I want my apartment in New York to feel very English. Like when I wake up, I could be Keira Knightley on the set of Pride & Prejudice.”
Amanda Seyfried makes dressing comfortably a high priority—but without sacrificing style and originality. "I love Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang," says the 24-year-old actress. "But I'm much more likely to buy leggings or drop-crotch sweatpants from them than an elaborate, low-cut piece. They both make casual clothes that have a little something extra going on—which is what I want."

Angel Fight! The winged, prissy Gabriel goes up against humanity's only hope, a single fallen angel with a gun. Can you even shoot an Angel? Apparently yes — check out the latest ultra-violent clip from Legion.
Legion takes place in lonely little truck stop( subtly named Paradise Lost), where a young pregnant waitress is giving birth to an all-important child. Somehow God is mad at hell at humanity and sends just about every Angel he's got to erase our species, just like the previous great flood. But blond Angel Paul Bettany has defected and ripped off his wings to fight on our side. Which means going up against Gabriel. Legion will be out in theaters Jan. 22.

Warner Bros. and Netflix on Wednesday announced a dramatic pact that will delay new releases reaching Netflix's online rental customers for 28 days, while boosting the number of Warners' catalog titles Netflix will be allowed to offer.
The deal is sure to have broad ripple effects in the home entertainment industry. But for now, the 28-day policy will apply only to Netflix.
As part of the agreement, Netflix will get its delayed rental titles on less expensive terms than previously. Warners -- which says it's instituting the changes to help protect revenue from disc sales -- estimates that the policy shift will end up being revenue-neutral for the studio.
"These new agreements build upon the strong relationship we have had with Netflix for nearly 10 years," Warner Home Video president Ron Sanders said. "The 28-day window allows us to continue making our most popular films available to Netflix subscribers while supporting our sell-through product."
Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos called the pact a "win-win" for both companies.
"We're able to help an important business partner meet its objectives while improving service levels for our members by acquiring substantially more units than in the past after a relatively short sell-through window," Sarandos said. " At the same time, we're able to extend the range of choices available to be streamed to our members."
This news came out of nowhere when it hit my inbox this morning, making good on a Twitter promise that there would be a "big announcement" from SHOOTER JENNINGS today...
Legendary genre author and FANGORIA contributor STEPHEN KING will be appearing on Jennings' forthcoming concept album, BLACK RIBBONS - due out March 2nd on Black Country Rock/Rocket Science Ventures. King will provide the voice of "Will O' The Wisp," a late-night talk radio host who is in the last hour of his final broadcast before the airwaves are overtaken by "government-approved and regulated transmissions."
Read more from the official announcement below:
With nothing left to lose, the radio host lets loose with a series of rants, punctuating his diatribes with selections from the discography of (Jennings' new band) Hierophant. Throughout the album's 14 songs, Will O' The Wisp flits in and out, painting an apocalyptic picture of what America could become in the not-so-distant future, while offering his loyal listeners-from whom he is about to be permanently cut off-the unvarnished truth.

Cheryl Cole has denied rumors that her marriage is in trouble.
The 'Fight For This Love' singer triggered speculation that her relationship with footballer Ashley was on the rocks last year after she was spotted without her wedding ring during several episodes of The X Factor.
However, the 26-year-old has now shot down reports of a rift with her husband, insisting that she only took off her ring as a "fashion statement".
Cheryl told Glamour: "Do people really think I'm going to have an argument and take my ring off? It was a fashion statement more than a marriage statement. As my wedding ring is yellow it doesn't go with everything."
The Girls Aloud star went on to admit that the constant claims about their marriage had taken its toll on the pair. She added: "[Ashley] broke down about it all. He called me from the garage and said, 'I feel sick. I'm on the cover of every magazine because apparently I've made you cry'.
"My family love Ashley but even people really close to me are starting to believe that there's a rift between us."
I wouldn't want to wear that ring either...It's huge, yellow, and ugly.
Starring Kevin Bacon, this segment was cut from 'New York I Love You' along with Andrei Zvyagintsev's shortfilm. Dialogues are in Russian.
Erik Chopin is one of the most well-known and recognizable "Biggest Loser" contestants ever, but it's not because of the weight he lost. It's because of the nearly 200 pounds he gained back after winning Season 3.
Discovery Health takes us inside Erik's struggle in the new show, "Confessions of a Reality Show Loser," which premieres tonight at 9. I honestly think this show will be more gripping than "The Biggest Loser," because it will show what it's really like for these people to deal with a whole new life in the limelight, and what it's like to be a whole new person outside while still battling demons on the inside.

Over eleven minutes, the Knife introduce their most recent costume with "Colouring The Pigeon," the first sounds from their operatic composition Tomorrow, In A Year, composed in collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock. The piece was commissioned by Hotel Pro Forma, to accompany the Danish performance art group's opera based on Charles Darwin's On The Origin Of The Species. Which works out, because Karin and Olof were already all about birds anyway. "Pigeons" is a master blast -- it's less obviously electronic than the Knife of the naughts, freely incorporating operatic elements as per the assignment -- strings, bel canto vocalisms -- but as soon as Karin jumps in after the hockety, harmonized vocal intro, and the various, sublimely eerie instrumental arpeggios color the remains, the Dreijer signature is bold on this one, even if it's on a mask geared for a different sort of theater. This is a big one, must-download:

Kings Of Leon: 'We're not recording with Leona Lewis'
Kings Of Leon have denied that they are set to record with Leona Lewis, despite some reports alluding to a possible collaboration.
It was claimed that the Followill clan were going to join the former X Factor winner in the studio because they were "big fans" of the singer. It was also claimed that Lewis will be working with Robbie Williams.
However, drummer Nathan Followill has denied the claim.
"Contrary to reports out there Kings Of Leon are not writing or recording with Leona Lewis," he wrote this afternoon (January 6) on Twitter.
The band are currently taking time off after touring extensively last year.

I sense a new gay anthem
By JIM DWYER
In the bitter cold on Monday night, a man and woman picked apart a pyramid of clear trash bags, the discards of the HM clothing store that reigns in blazing plate-glass glory on 34th Street, just east of Sixth Avenue in Manhattan.
At the back entrance on 35th Street, awaiting trash haulers, were bags of garments that appear to have never been worn. And to make sure that they never would be worn or sold, someone had slashed most of them with box cutters or razors, a familiar sight outside H & M’s back door. The man and woman were there to salvage what had not been destroyed.
He worked quickly, never uttering a word. A bag was opened and eyed, and if it held something of promise, was tossed at the feet of the woman. She said her name was Pepa.
Were the clothes usually cut up before they were thrown out?
“A veces,” she said in Spanish. Sometimes.
She packed up a few items that had escaped the blade — a bright green T-shirt that said “Summer of Surf,” and a dark-blue hoodie in size 12, with a Divided label. The rest was returned to the pyramid.
It is winter. A third of the city is poor. And unworn clothing is being destroyed nightly.
A few doors down on 35th Street, hundreds of garments tagged for sale in Wal-Mart — hoodies and T-shirts and pants — were discovered in trash bags the week before Christmas, apparently dumped by a contractor for Wal-Mart that has space on the block.
Each piece of clothing had holes punched through it by a machine.
They were found by Cynthia Magnus, who attends classes at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York on Fifth Avenue and noticed the piles of discarded clothing as she walked to the subway station in Herald Square. She was aghast at the waste, and dragged some of the bags home to Brooklyn, hoping that someone would be willing to take on the job of patching the clothes and making them wearable.
A Wal-Mart spokeswoman, Melissa Hill, said the company normally donates all its unworn goods to charities, and would have to investigate why the items found on 35th Street were discarded.
During her walks down 35th Street, Ms. Magnus said, it is more common to find destroyed clothing in the H & M trash. On Dec. 7, during an early cold snap, she said, she saw about 20 bags filled with H & M clothing that had been cut up.
“Gloves with the fingers cut off,” Ms. Magnus said, reciting the inventory of ruined items. “Warm socks. Cute patent leather Mary Jane school shoes, maybe for fourth graders, with the instep cut up with a scissor. Men’s jackets, slashed across the body and the arms. The puffy fiber fill was coming out in big white cotton balls.” The jackets were tagged $59, $79 and $129.
This week, a manager in the H & M store on 34th Street said inquiries about its disposal practices had to be made to its United States headquarters. However, various officials did not respond to 10 inquiries made Tuesday by phone and e-mail.
Directly around the corner from H & M is a big collection point for New York Cares, which conducts an annual coat drive.
“We’d be glad to take unworn coats, and companies often send them to us,” said Colleen Farrell, a spokeswoman for New York Cares.
More than coats were tossed out. “The H & M thing was just ridiculous, not only clothing, but bags and bags of sturdy plastic hangers,” Ms. Magnus said. “I took a dozen of them. A girl can never have enough hangers.”
H & M, which is based in Sweden, has an executive in charge of corporate responsibility who leads the company’s sustainability efforts. On its Web site, H&M reports that to save paper, it has shrunk its shipping labels.
“How about all the solid waste generated by throwing away usable garments and plastic hangers?” Ms. Magnus asked in a letter to the executive, Ingrid Schullstrom. She volunteered to help H & M connect with a charity or agency in New York that could put the unsold items to better use than simply tossing them in the trash. So far, she said, she has gotten no response.
On Monday night, Pepa’s shopping bag held a few items. She pointed to her gray sweatpants. “From here,” she said.
How about coats?
“Maybe tomorrow,” she said.
I know this isn't celebrity related but I know a lot of people here shop at h&m and might care about their recent actions.
With her divorce to Jon finally behind her, Kate Gosselin started off 2010 by spending some serious quality time with a new guy — and their date lasted until the wee hours of the morning. Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, who has tended to the tresses of Angelina Jolie and Anne Hathaway, spent nearly 20 hours last week meticulously adding hundreds of extensions to Kate’s hair. Luckily, they both agree that their time together was a smashing success. “Kate was an absolute sweetheart, I loved her,” says Gibson, who also appears on the TLC show What Not To Wear. While he knew that transforming the look that launched a thousand Halloween wigs would be a challenge, Gibson reveals it was the super-short, spiky hair in the back of Kate’s notorious former hairstyle that proved most daunting. “Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time. But in all those hours, she didn’t complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested, and willing to try just about anything.” Well, with one notable exception: At first, Gibson reports, Kate was reluctant to let go of the thick, jaw-length shock of hair in the front of her face in favor of bangs. “She wasn’t sure about bangs,” says Gibson, “But I find many women have that one thing they’re afraid to let go of, that one ‘security blanket’ part of their look, whether it’s a fear of going shorter or darker or something. But once they finally let go and embrace the change, they always love it.” Indeed, Kate gave in on the bangs and was thrilled with the sleek, layered look Gibson achieved. “It’s good to have hair again,” she says. “I know this will be more upkeep than my old look, but I’m ready for it. I’m just grateful I don’t have to go through the awkward growing-out process of short hair. I get criticized for everything I do enough as it is!” To see more of Kate’s brand-new look — and to hear more about how her kids are doing, what she thinks of the latest Jon drama, and whether she’s ready for romance — pick up the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

Charlie Sheen is no longer a good fit for Hanes undershirts.
The actor's Christmas Day arrest on domestic violence charges sent his sponsor scrambling to pull commercials featuring him and basketball star Michael Jordan over the holidays.
The ads for the "Comfortsoft" line of Hanes undershirts were last scheduled to air on Jan. 1 of this year, according to a Hanesbrands spokesperson, but after the arrest most of the commercials disappeared.
"We suspended the commercials on Dec. 28," spokesman Matthew Hall says. "Some were seen on the 25th, 26th, 27th as we could not reach the networks over the holiday weekend."
Sheen's contract ends in the middle of this year, although there were no other commercials planned. "We do have a print ad in some trade publications using Mr. Sheen that are scheduled to run this spring," Hall says. Because of publishing schedules, those ads could not be changed.
Sheen had been contracted with Hanes for a year; Jordan has been a longtime celebrity spokesperson for the brand. Prior to Sheen joining Jordan in commercials, a popular string of them with Cuba Gooding Jr. ran for two years; Sarah Chalke also had ads that ran for a year.

The former model, who lost part of her left leg in a traffic accident in 1993, is in rigorous rehearsals for "Dancing On Ice," which hits the small screen in the U.K. later this month.
But she is already nursing some nasty injuries after a series of falls on the rink.
Mills tells the Mirror, "I've snapped off my rib doing a lift, I had eight lessons and was flat on my back for 10 days after a fall, and I nearly had to drop out.
"I fractured a rib, tore my rotator cuff, then shifted out my pelvis. There is not much left to break. ... My doctor thought it was ridiculous and said: 'I think you should pull out.'"
However, the 41-year-old is determined to participate in the show -- as long as her injuries aren't too serious.
She adds, "I woke up and thought, 'I'm doing this for charity,' and I saw my boots and sparkly catsuits and thought, 'I've got to do this'. If I puncture a lung I guess I will have to give up."

It's time again for everybody to give input on the most memorable, best, funniest, craziest, etc. posts from the year that just was.
If you missed last year's shenanigans, here are some relevant links:
Now that you have an idea of how things worked last year, please note that it MAY be a bit different this time around.
The purpose of this entry is for you all to discuss what posts you think should be considered. How you discuss this is up to you. You can post links to posts, you can ask for links, you can say "Does anyone remember..." or "Wasn't it so funny when...", you can pitch your own posts--this is basically an ON TOPIC free for all. DO NOT go OT, please.
In a day or two, I'll make a second entry. That entry will consist of a list of posts in the comments (one thread per post). I'll probably screen comments while I input everything, then unscreen them. What you'll do then--and this may change, but it's what I have in mind for now--is reply to any thread that contains a post you think should be considered for our Top 20. Depending on how many posts get a ton of "votes," the third post will either be the results (based on the number of responses to threads from the previous post) or a runoff/poll/whatever to break things down further.

For the record, Rawlinson adds that getting her boobs re-enhanced after her track career is over is not out of the question.
On Monday, in a prank as brazen as it was odd, the Web site of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was hacked by a dissident who also happens to be a Michael Jackson fan.
A message posted on the site addressed God, who had taken Jackson from the Earth in 2009, suggesting that he should take Ahmadinejad in '10.
"Dear God, in 2009 you took my favorite singer — Michael Jackson, my favorite actress — Farrah Fawcett, my favorite actor — Patrick Swayze, my favorite voice — Neda [a reference to Neda Agha-Soltan, an Iranian who was killed during last year's protests of the country's presidential election]," the message read. "Please, please, don't forget my favorite politician — Ahmadinejad, and my favorite dictator — [Iranian cleric Ali] Khamenei in the year 2010. Thank you."
Ahmadinejad's site has since been taken offline — either intentionally or because its servers were overloaded by visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of the hack — but screen captures of the hack quickly spread throughout the Internet, as commenters marveled at the audacity of the attack and its message.
The hack comes in the wake of last year's election protests, in which Iranian students and others took to sites like Twitter — which the Iranian government reportedly attempted to ban — to post footage of marches and convey their outrage to the rest of the world. In December, a group calling itself the "Iranian Cyber Army" attacked Twitter with a hack that redirected users to a site that claimed, "We control and manage [the] Internet by our power."

We've known for two months that Danny Boyle's next film will be 127 Hours, based on the true story of a mountain climber who got stuck under a boulder and had to do terrible things to survive. And now we know which lucky (?) actor will play the guy: James Franco.
That's the word from industry publication Production Weekly, which tweeted earlier today that Franco has the part, and that filming will begin in early March in Utah. The mountaineer, Aron Ralston, was climbing in southeastern Utah in 2003 when a boulder came loose and crushed his arm against the wall of the canyon, pinning him there for several days. Probably something like 125 or 130 hours total, I'm guessing. (You can read all the gruesome, bone-sawing details on Ralston's Wikipedia page.) Anyway, while there are no specifics yet, one assumes Boyle will be shooting in the same general area where the incident happened, which isn't too far from where John Ford used to shoot a lot of his Westerns.
The big question is how a film that is basically a one-man show -- in which that one man is trapped under a rock most of the time -- will be interesting to watch. Franco is a good actor, but does he have the intensity and charisma required to hold our attention when he's the only person on the screen? A lot will probably depend on what the screenplay (which Boyle is writing with his Slumdog Millionaire collaborator, Simon Beaufoy) gives Franco to do while he's lying there. If it involves a lot of grinning and squinting, perfect!
Could be interesting. I'm thinking lots of flashbacks.
An early version of the "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" screenplay that belonged to star Jackson Rathbone leaked online on Tuesday. Sources reportedly confirmed to both Deadline Hollywood and EW.com that the PDF file making the rounds on the Internet is real, but it was not the version used to film the third movie in the vampire saga.
Summit has not provided any further information about the leak, how the script was lost in the first place or how anyone got their hands on the script, which is watermarked with Rathbone's name across each page. A rep for Rathbone hadn't gotten back to MTV News at press time regarding any further information about the found script.

ABC insiders may soon want to tell President Obama to get "Lost."
The White House is finalizing plans for this year's State of the Union address and is said to be mulling two dates for the speech, according to a person familiar with the matter: Jan. 26 and Feb. 2.
So what's wrong with that? Well, Jan. 26 would mean an interruption of "American Idol" -- though Fox likely planned for that (or would simply tell the White House to take a hike, as it has before).
But Feb. 2? Other than the fact that it's a holiday (Groundhog's Day/TV MoJoe's birthday), that's the date ABC months ago staked out for the premiere of the final season of "Lost."
The NBA has suspended Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas indefinitely.
In a statement, NBA commissioner David Stern said:
"Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game ... Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA."
Arenas is under investigation for bringing guns to the Verizon Center (where the Wizards play) and allegedly getting into a standoff with teammate Javaris Crittenton.
BTW -- Today is Gilbert's 28th birthday. Happy birthday!
what is it with athletes and dumb crap they do?
A video of a 16-year-old Beyoncé Knowles has surfaced where she gives advice on success.
"Keep God first. That’s the main thing. Pray every night…and be serious with your prayers.
Stay humble. If you ever meet me and I have a little attitude just slap me! Just Slap me right back into shame..
If you want to do something, put your mind to it. Focus on that one thing. Don’t worry about everybody else trying to distract you and keep you far from your dreams. It’s alot of haters out there that’s going to try to keep you from your dreams but don’t listen to them. Just keep focused on what you are trying to do and I promise you, you gonna get it. If you work hard at it and keep God first."

This week we saw our favorite incompetent teen mom Farrah get owned by her dad and her date for her lax parenting. Amber stayed in a seedy hotel drowning her sorrows in Oreos and juice before being wooed again by a repentant Gary who came bearing the gifts of candles and meatloaf from Cracker Barrel (Seriously, I’m not making this up). Catelynn went to a retreat for women who gave their babies up for adoption. Maci continued to deal with her lame boyfriend Ryan who can’t be bothered with her or his son.
Next week -- Maci takes dumbass Ryan to task for not taking care of his son Bentley.

Are you shocked? Even if you are not, the magnitude of the game's success was still a little alarming.
Within its first day on the market, it broke one million units, becoming the best-selling PS3 game in Japan. According to Media Create, the game had reached 1,501,964 units by the end of the week, which more than doubled the life-to-date totals of the platform's previous bestseller, Metal Gear Solid 4. It did so in just four days.
As you also might have expected, these unprecedented sales also boosted PS3 sales in the region for the week. The platform's sales leaped, much like a gazelle would leap, from 75,086 units sold to 237,086 units (an increase of 215.75 percent). That's an impressive upshot -- but we're not sure it deserves any gibberish exclamations.
Final Fantasy 13 will be released on March 9, 2010 in Europe, USA and Australia

What all the fuss is about -
Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea has launched his own range of affordable instruments. (I don't think they're out yet.......I tried looking around for a site with more info.)
The bassist, who teaches at his non-profit Silverlake Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, noticed that the children were struggling to afford proper instruments and decided to do something about it.
"I found that a lot of the kids I was teaching were coming in with inexpensive basses, which were pieces of shit." Flea told Kerrang! "The necks were warped and were falling apart. They were like toys. I wanted to make something that kids could afford but were quality, play well and last a long time."
He added: "I had been adding my name to established bass models for many years, but I thought, 'Fuck it, I'll make my own bass! I'll make it bitching and it'll be cool!' I just want the kids to rock!"

Barnes added that he remains hopeful that a collaboration with Beyonce will also materialise after she revealed she was a fan of the band.
