Hold the phone- Brittany Murphy would not approve.

Chris Cornell + Craigslist yank wedding video with Brittany Murphy

Rocker CHRIS CORNELL is reportedly fuming after video footage showing tragic actress BRITTANY MURPHY partying at his wedding surfaced online.

Clips from the Soundgarden star's 2004 nuptials to his wife Vicky, whose maid of honour was the late Clueless star, were said to have been put up for sale on a website.

Cornell, who alleges the video was stolen, has threatened to sue the online ad site and even asked its owners to hand over the details of the person selling the tape, according to the New York Post.

A source tells the newspaper, "The video features behind-the-scenes wedding moments, many of Brittany Murphy."
The ad has since been removed.

Murphy died after suffering a cardiac arrest early last month.

A bit more from the New York Post:

Well-done Mr. Cornell, well-done.

Also, we need a Brittany Murphy tag, y/y? Forget the tag- geez! :) I just like organizing stuff, and it being easy to tell if an article has been posted.  So back to Chris Cornell being awesome for yanking the video...

ETA: So why a tag? Because Brittany has 4 movies that have yet to come out, possibly an album, plus toxicology results and official cause of death to be determined.  Lots of posts.  And if 'N Synch, Al Roker, Haylie Duff, Xzibit and Star Jones all merit having tags, why not Brittany?

Justin Timberlake: Most Charitable Star of 2009

Stepping out for a midday meal, Justin Timberlake was spotted out for lunch at BLD restaurant in Los Angeles, California on Monday (January 4).

Looking stylish in black longsleeve shirt with crisp blue jeans and a black fedora cap, the “SexyBack” stud did his best to ignore paparazzi while meandering back to his nearby car.

Jughead's Revenge To Reunite !

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Los Angeles, CA's Jughead's Revenge will reunite to play shows for their 20th anniversary in early 2010, likely in March. Frontman Joe Dorethy commented on the reunion:

"We have been in rehearsal for a couple of weeks now, but we weren't going to announce anything until some shows were booked for March. Guess the cat's outta the bag. When everything comes together we'll post it all over here. Hope to see you in March."

Jughead's Revenge had been on an undetermined hiatus since 1999. Following their hiatus, a lawsuit with Archie comics (which has since been resolved) was filed, leaving the band to change their name to Jugg's Revenge.

It is currently not known whether or not they have plans for a full-scale tour or to record new material. Last year, Nitro Records digitally reissued the band's material. [You can listen to some of their música here].

Jessica Szohr For Teen Vogue February 2010

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jessica Szhor is the last main member of the “Gossip Girl” cast to have a solo Teen Vogue cover.

Her February 2010 cover sees her wearing one of my favourite looks from the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2010 collection. I also loved the red Versus safety-pin dress below.

The self-proclaimed “jeans and tee shirt girl” is refreshingly down-to-earth in her interview.

She opens up about her modest attitude towards fame, her relationship with Ed Westwick, and her big screen debut this April in the spring-break thriller “Piranha 3-D.”

The Saturdays Sizzle In FHM

Here’s the UK girl group, The Saturdays, looking really hot in lingerie and getting quite naughty with one another in the February issue of FHM magazine. Ok, I’ll admit that I’ve never seen nor heard of these girls before today, but they’re definitely on my radar now (especially the short-haired brunette), and I couldn’t care less if their music is any good (it’s probably rubbish), because their sleepovers looks like a freaking blast. Enjoy!

B2K Singer Popped for Domestic Violence

J-Boog from B2K -- aka Jarell Damonte Houston -- was arrested for domestic violence at his L.A. home yesterday -- TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Boog was arrested late afternoon for "corporal punishment on a spouse" as well as for outstanding warrants relating to an allegedly bad driving record.

Neighbors tell TMZ they heard screaming in the house earlier in the day -- and when cops finally showed up, they rolled deep with 6 or 7 squad cars.

We're told police stayed for about an hour. No confirmation on who else was involved.

J-Boog -- who is unmarried -- is reportedly still dating his baby mama.

Tiger Woods Sex Tape?

Someone is shopping what she says is a Tiger Woods sex tape, and Vivid Entertainment is in the market.

Steven Hirsch, head honcho of Vivid, tells TMZ a woman approached him two weeks ago, claiming she had a sex video of Tiger Woods. She said it was shot approximately two years ago.

Hirsch tells TMZ his people have seen 30 seconds of the video but is not confirming it's Tiger on tape -- he says he's still trying to ID the players.

Two things. First, Tiger's lawyers have already put out a threatening letter, stating they will go after anyone who tries to publish nude photos or videos of Tiger Woods.

Thing two. There is no way such a video could be legally released without Tiger's John Hancock. Good luck with that.

Roman Polanski Hearing Scheduled in Los Angeles

A hearing in Roman Polanski's decades old sex case will take place later this week.

Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini confirmed to ET that a hearing will be held in Los Angeles on Wednesday and will be a status update in the case. According to the Associated Press, this will mark the first time the case, stemming from an incident in the 1970's, will return to court since Polanski's request to have it dismissed last month was denied.

The film director is currently on house arrest at his Swiss chalet after being arrested in Zurich on September 26, 2009 for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. After pleading guilty, he fled the U.S. in 1978.

According to the AP, the appeals court said the case could conclude if Polanski's attorney agreed to reaching a sentence without the defendant being present or if he reverses his resistance to being extradited to the United States.

Sandra Bullock to Deliver SAG Tribute to Living Legend Betty White

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Here's a proposal Golden Girls star Betty White can't refuse: accepting her Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award from Sandra Bullock.

The hand-off will take place at the16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, to be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 23, from Los Angeles's Shrine Exposition Center.

The two starred together in 2009's box-office hit, the romantic comedy The Proposal. White played the spiritual Alaskan grandmother of Bullock's love interest (and coerced fiancé), Ryan Reynolds.

White, 87, can practically boast of a lifetime on TV. Her six decades' worth of work – which have resulted in 18 Emmy nominations and six actual awards, so far – include her riotous turn as happy homemaker Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973-77) and as the often-vague Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls (1985-92). She also rode the early I Love Lucy domestic-sitcom bandwagon as the star of 1953's Life with Elizabeth.

Her next role will be in the Disney feature You Again, with Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and Kristin Chenowith. Offscreen, White is a passionate animal-rights activist, affiliated with such groups as Actors and Others for Animals and the Morris Animal Foundation.

Bullock, 45, is also up for a SAG Award – named The Actor – for her leading role as the real-life Leigh Anne Tuohy in another box-office hit from last year, The Blind Side.

Past recipients of SAG’s Life Achievement Award include James Earl Jones, Julie Andrews, Clint Eastwood, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Angela Lansbury and Robert Redford – of whom White, as the man-hungry Sue Ann Nivens, once made a highly quotable remark.

She said that when she dies, she wishes to be cremated and have her ashes thrown in Robert Redford's face.

Lindsay Lohan Claims Friend Robbed Her

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Sounds like Lindsay Lohan's New Year has gotten off on the wrong foot.

While celebrating 2010 on the island of St. Barth's, the 23 year-old star discovered that she was ripped off by her longtime best friend and sidekick Patrick "Pootie" Aufdenkamp.

A friend close to Lohan tells UsMagazine.com, "Patrick stole Lindsay's sketches for her new 6126 clothing line." WWD reported Dec. 30 that Lohan's 6126 leggings line would be expanded to become a full clothing collection for fall 2010; her role as artistic advisor for fashion house Emanuel Ungaro, despite a rocky start, is also ongoing.

Lohan tells UsMagazine.com that Aufdenkamp has been her "best friend" since she was 16. He has frequently been photographed with the actress, and was present at many meetings related to her new fashion line.

"He is now running off trying to do his own line," a Lohan pal says incredulously, "And telling people he's going to fashion market week in NYC on February 18 to debut his line."

Adds the Lohan source, "It's horrible. He was her best friend. He has always used her, and she's been warned to never trust him. Lindsay is a good friend and likes to see the good in people. She didn't want to believe how bad Patrick's energy was, and how false his friendship has always been with her."

Lohan herself spoke to UsMagazine.com exclusively about the sad incident. "I should've known better," she said, noting that the friendship with "Pootie" has ended. "But new year for me and a new beginning! Health, happiness, success and love!"

A rep for Aufdenkamp could not be reached for comment to UsMagazine.com.

Larry Flynt Wins Case Against Nephews

As previously reported, a jury of his peers recently sided with Larry Flynt in his lawsuit against his nephews, Jimmy Flynt, Jr. and Dustin Flynt, finding that the nephews did not have the right to cash in on their famous uncle’s last name. The jury found that the name Larry Flynt was a valid and protectable trademark owned by the famous adult business mogul. On December 28, 2009, United States District Court Judge, A. Howard Matz, made it official when he handed down a permanent injunction that prohibits Jimmy, Dustin or any company owned by them from using the name Flynt in isolation on any adult products or services. In addition, the injunction also requires Jimmy and Dustin to turnover any “Flynt” websites utilized by the nephews, place a disclaimer on any of their websites and products, and to destroy their inventory of materials that bear the name Flynt in isolation.

'Blossom' back to teen TV

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Mayim Bialik -- the quirky, never-without- a-hat teen who won fame as TV's "Blossom" in the early '90s -- believes she is a total stranger to today's under-20 crowd.

That's the kind of thing that can hurt a comeback.

"Kids have no clue who I am," she says with a shrug. "When I do personal appearances at colleges, I have to sort of backtrack and say, 'In case you didn't know, I was on after 'The Fresh Prince' for five years.' "

Bialik, 34, took herself off Hollywood's radar for much of the past decade to pursue a PhD in neuroscience and start a family.

Now the mother of two -- Miles, 4, and Fred, 1 -- is back at work and hoping to reconnect with her longtime fans and their kids. In the next few weeks she will start recurring guest roles on " 'Til Death" and "The Secret Life of The American Teenager."

"I am trying to see if the industry would like to see me as an adult actress and not as a teenager," she tells The Post.

The Truth About Celebrity Tweets

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Celebrities including Nicole Richie, Kim Kardashian, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge can reportedly earn up to $10,000 per Tweet for companies including Sony and Nestle.

According to Ad.ly, a company that connects Twitterers and advertisers, Kim and Soulja Boy earn that figure when they endorse products via Tweet, says E! Online.

Alias actor Greg Grunberg who donates his Tweet fees to charity, earns in the four figures per paid Tweet, Ad.ly’s CEO Sean Rad tells the Web site.

Who are the ultimate paid Tweeters? According to Rad, the most lucrative would be Britney Spears or P. Diddy who could earn up to $20,000 per Tweet.

So, how can fans tell when a star is Tweeting for money and not just sharing information with their followers?

E! Online says that a new regulation requires celebs to disclose whether a blog post or social media post was driven by any kind of cash incentive and violators could face fines up to $11,000.

Tweets arranged through Ad.ly all include language indicating that the communication is an ad, but if the stars Tweet for cash on their own and fail to disclose it they’d be in breach of the regulations.

Rosie says cute things about Tracy

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Rosie O’Donnell is giddy over her new relationship with Texas-based artist Tracy Kachtick-Anders.

“Did anybody hear I have a new girlfriend?” O’Donnell cooed on her Sirius show "Rosie Radio" on Monday.

O’Donnell said she met up with her new gal pal down in Miami last week for a mini holiday, where the pair was snapped by paparazzi holding hands. She described the relationship as "yummy" saying, "I love it all. ... It's almost too good to be true!
“[She’s a] lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely person named Tracy, who has six children. So she was in Miami with her kids, and we had a great time. We went out to … see a movie … and walk around Lincoln Road and there were lots of people taking photos of us. And then people following us in the car taking photos,” O’Donnell said. "I had no idea that it [news of the relationship with Tracy] would be on CNN. It’s odd for me … and quite odd for Tracy."

The former talk-show host admitted that because she never really dated anyone once she got famous (she began her relationship with her former partner Kelli Carpenter in 1997) that she wasn’t prepared for the kind of attention that comes from a new celebrity coupling.

“I felt like Madonna for a moment. Truthfully I’m not really that kind of famous where people follow me,” O’Donnell said.

Kathy Griffin Banned From CNN?

Following her very controversial F-bomb-dropping New Year's Eve hosting gig, CNN executives have decided Kathy Griffin will NOT be getting a 2011 invite. "She was a total embarrassment to the network that calls themselves 'The Most Trusted Name in News.' Even Anderson (Cooper, her co-host) thinks it's time to say goodbye to Kathy," a CNN insider tells me.

Not only did the potty-mouthed redhead drop the F bomb on live TV, she also made not-so-funny jokes about needing a "bump" of cocaine and asked Cooper if he pleasured himself while looking in the mirror. As sexy as the Silver Fox is ... that's just too much, Kathy.

Even worse than the comedienne's desperate need to shock was the fact that the show was a ratings bomb, as it fell far behind the family-friendly 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' on ABC.

Still, CNN publicist Shimrit Sheetrit tells me: "No decisions have been made yet regarding next year's show."

Ausiello: 'Ugly Betty' Pretty Close to Betty-Daniel Romance

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Remember earlier this season… that near-kiss Ugly Betty choreographed for our title heroine and Daniel that we wrote off as a sight gag? Yeah, um, suddenly, it’s looking a lot more like foreshadowing. In fact, series creator Silvio Horta confirms for me that he may take a page from the show’s source material and explore a romance between Betty and her boss.

“We’ve been batting around the idea,” he confesses. “It is not outside the realm of possibility that something [could] happen, but we’re not sure yet.”

A lot of Horta’s indecision stems from the uncertainty of Betty’s future. While he’s encouraged by ABC’s decision to move the show to a night when folks actually watch TV — Betty debuts in its new Wednesday timeslot this week — the creatively resurgent comedy is still fighting for its life.

At least if Betty does hang up her glasses for good in May, Horta is confident that ABC will give him time to script an appropriate ending… maybe even, as rumor has it, one that would allow Betty to ride off into the sunset with ex-love Henry (Chris Gorham). “I think there is a place for him to come back in some way,” Horta says. “But I don’t know if them being together at the end is what’s going to happen.”

Whomever Betty ultimately ends up with — Daniel, Henry, Gio, Matt or no one at all — one thing is certain: Half the audience will be seething. “There’s a chunk of people who won’t be happy with whatever we do,” Horta sighs. “You’re always going to piss somebody off.”

What scenario would piss you off? Or most piss you off? And which would make you cry tears of joy? Sound off below! And check out Ask Ausiello later this week for more scoop from Horta, beginning with an answer to this question: What’s up with Betty and Matt?

Korean Actress Lee Na-young in transgengendered role for "Lady Daddy"

Actress Lee Na-young, a symbol of cheery Audrey Hepburn-esque grace and femininity, was thrilled to have her looks compared to male stars such as Jung Woo-sung.

In the upcoming family comedy ``Lady Daddy,'' the screen beauty dons a ``handsome look,'' complete with a necktie and mustache. She plays the role of Ji-hyeon, a charming photographer whose perfect life is disrupted with the sudden arrival of a young boy who claims she fathered him, before her sex-change operation. Ji-hyeon is forced to spend a week with the boy, and tries to fulfill a ``more conventional'' role as a dad while her boyfriend, played by Kim Ji-suk, grows suspicious.

In a press conference Monday in Seoul, Lee expressed appreciation for comparisons to pretty-faced actors. ``But I'm afraid fans (of the male stars) might not like it, but it's the best compliment for me,'' the 30-year-old actress said shyly.

The unconventional role, moreover, fulfills her longtime personal wish of playing a man onscreen. ``I've always wanted to play a male character. Ever since seeing Cate Blanchett impersonate Bob Dylan in `I'm Not There' I dreamed of not simply dressing up as a man but playing a real man,'' she said.

It was challenging, however, to cast off prejudices for her role. Lee said she initially thought about such details as shaking a leg like a man, or the way she would sit or cry, but eventually felt no need.

``My character onscreen is a very feminine transgender so she doesn't need to possess such masculine habits. So when her son comes knocking at her door, she awkwardly disguises herself as a man. It wasn't too difficult to pull off because I thought a clumsy attempt to act masculine would be natural,'' she said.

On TV, that is.

Word is, Gladys has a secret which will create some sort of trouble for Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

PGA noms give some love to Trekkies, Prawns, Hans Landa, and overweight Asian children

LOS ANGELES – Science-fiction scored big with the Producers Guild of America, with "Avatar," "Star Trek" and "District 9" taking three of the 10 nominations Tuesday for the group's top film honors.

The group representing Hollywood producers also handed best-picture nominations to the animated blockbuster "Up," the World War II hit "Inglourious Basterds" and the critical favorites "The Hurt Locker," "Precious: Based on the Novel `Push' By Sapphire," "Up in the Air," "An Education" and "Invictus."

The Producers Guild followed the lead of the Academy Awards and doubled its best-picture field to 10 nominees this season.

"Up" also is nominated for best animated film, along with "9," "Coraline," "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "The Princess and the Frog."

The guild picks typically are a good forecast for the eventual best-picture lineup at the Oscars, whose nominations come out Feb. 2.

If Oscar choices run the same way, the show will gain the mass appeal organizers had sought to bring to Hollywood's biggest party. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences doubled the best-picture field last summer, hoping to bring a broader range of films into the awards fold, including the sort of blockbuster fare the Oscars often have lacked in recent years.

"The Dark Knight," 2008's biggest hit, earned a best-picture nomination a year ago from the Producers Guild but was overlooked for the top Oscar category. Its omission was cited as a factor in the decision to expand the best-picture field, Oscar organizers saying they felt there were more than five films deserving nominations.

TV ratings for the Oscar show, on a general decline over the last few decades, usually climb in years when huge hits are in the running. The Oscars had their biggest audience ever when "Titanic," the modern box-office king with $1.8 billion worldwide, dominated the ceremony 12 years ago.

"Avatar" is "Titanic" director James Cameron's first narrative film since then. The sci-fi epic has topped $350 million domestically and shot past the $1 billion mark worldwide, and it appears headed to the No. 2 spot in the record books globally, behind "Titanic."

The Producers Guild lineup includes four other big hits — "Up" and "Star Trek," both $200 million smashes, and "District 9" and "Inglourious Basterds," which topped $100 million each.

The other nominees present a mix of star power and critical raves. The recession-era comic drama "Up in the Air" has been an adult-audience favorite with plenty of box-office potential left and the celebrity appeal of star George Clooney.

The Iraq War drama "The Hurt Locker" has dominated key honors from critics groups and did solid independent-cinema business. The teen dramas "Precious" and "An Education" and the South Africa tale "Invictus," directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon, also have been strong arthouse earners featuring some of the year's most acclaimed performances.

Other Producers Guild nominees Tuesday:
• Documentary: "Burma VJ," "The Cove," "Sergio," "Soundtrack for a Revolution."

• Long-form television: "Georgia O'Keeffe," "Grey Gardens," "Little Dorrit," "Prayers for Bobby," "The Prisoner," "Taking Chance."

NOOOOO: James Bond Delayed Due to MGM Woes

It's going to be a little longer before 007 steps in front of cameras again. According to Total Film (and passed along via MI6), Bond's 23rd adventure has been delayed by MGM's financial woes. After all, someone has to pay for all those new gadgets and when the home office is on the block, where do the new ones come from? While both Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench have hinted that the film will begin filming in late 2010, and will aim for a 2011 release, Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli hinted that the shooting schedule can only be decided once MGM settles its accounts. "Well, our timeline's a little up in the air what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible. We just don't know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it's uncertain."

And if you've been sitting here since Peter Morgan took the screenwriting job last summer, dreaming of a script that's at least a draft or two in, guess again. Wilson said it was far too early to start talking about where Bond will end up after he found his solace. "Well ... we've hired the writers and we've been working with them but it's just too early to say anything. You know, often at this stage, I find myself saying, 'Oh, we're gonna do this and that', then six months from now you'll say, 'That isn't in the film at all - you told me it was ...' I think we're at the stage where a lot of ideas are floating around that sound very good, but whether they make the final cut, who knows?"

Well, at least they're taking their time. Meanwhile, there's nothing for Bond fans to do but spend their time dreaming of him in those tight blue trunks (surely he spends his hiatus in them), or fantasizing about who they'd like to see as a Bond girl.

OH, BALLS. I can't wait for another one. He's the best Bond, for my money.

Redmond O'Neal Arrested Again, Back In Jail

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

LOS ANGELES -- Redmond O'Neal, the 24-year-old son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett, is back in jail after being arrested for a probation violation.

O'Neal was taken into custody on December 29th, after he returned to the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Pasadena following a 24 hour pass, according to police officials. It was the first time O'Neal had been given a pass out of the facility since arriving at the treatment center in September.

He was booked for a probation violation, a felony charge, and sent to Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles, according to Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. He remains jailed without bail.

"It's a drug-related violation," according to O'Neal's attorney, Richard F. Pintal.

At a hearing Tuesday morning, L.A. Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan ordered O'Neal to remain jailed pending a February 2nd hearing. In November, Judge Tynan warned O'Neal that he would go to state prison for six years if he violated his probation.

"It actually strikes me that you haven't got a clue as to what recovery means. It is a lifelong commitment and it's grinding, hard, painful work," Tynan said after reading a letter Tuesday from O'Neal that was sealed from the public.

"You've got one responsibility and that's to yourself -- to get clean and sober," the judge told him.

O'Neal was admitted last April to a drug court program in connection with two drug-related cases -- one involving possession of heroin and methamphetamine and the latter involving possession of methamphetamine. The cases would be dismissed if he successfully completes the program.

He was sentenced in a third case to a minimum of a year in a residential drug-treatment program and three years probation following his no contest plea last September to a felony drug charge stemming from his arrest in a visitors' parking lot at a county detention facility in Castaic.

O'Neal's mother died June 25 after a long battle with cancer. He was temporarily released from jail so he could attend her funeral, then moved into a drug rehab program.

Fawcett left nearly all of her $6 million estate to her son. She appointed two trustees "to make sure the money supports her son's journey into sobriety, rather than giving him the means to destroy himself," according to her will.

World Premiere of 'This Addiction' single by Alkaline Trio

As well as Matt hinting at a tour of some sort with The Horrors:

You can also listen to a HQ version here (if you can figure out how to get it to work) as well as pre-order the album of the same name, slated for release on February 23rd.

I love it! It sounds like something that would be on an upgraded version of FHTI.

Alec Baldwin and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera? uh, no

On the next season of 30 Rock, Jack Donaghy will have a fling with a right-wing CNBC talking head. On the last season of Alec Baldwin's mixed-up life, he hit on this real right-wing CNBC talking head. Art imitates life!

The 30 Rock plotline will involve Donaghy getting mixed up with a conservative CNBC analyst played by Elizabeth Banks, who describes her character as "Sean Hannity in a skirt". The affair begins after Donaghy makes a CNBC appearance, which was actually filmed at NY1's studios.

The real-world precursor: A CNBC source tells Gawker that Baldwin once approached CNBC's Michelle Caruso-Cabrera through an agent, to ask her out. Caruso-Cabrera is known for thinking that off-shore tax shelters "help prevent tyranny" and for the way she looks in a sweater, which is very, very pretty. Our source says Baldwin's agent told Caruso-Cabrera that Baldwin wanted to meet her; the proposition resulted in a phone call with Baldwin during which Caruso-Cabrera mentioned her right-wing politics, which fizzled things rather quickly. "She told him she was a conservative, and never heard from him again," our source says. Unlike the 30 Rock version, Baldwin's interest wasn't sparked by an on-air appearance—he just called her cold. Which leads us to believe that he spends his days watching cable news nd trolling for tail. CNBC's not a bad place to start.

We've asked Caruso-Cabrera and a rep for Baldwin for comment; we'll let you know if we hear back.
UPDATE: Matthew Hiltzik, Baldwin's publicist, said he has no comment.

ETA: A “CNBC expert,” however, claims that’s not how the whole thing went down. He says that it was actually Michelle who turned Baldwin down, because “she thought he was a fat fuck and kind of a dufus.”

Shia LaBeouf makes his way out of a medical building on Monday (January 4) in the Santa Monica, Calif.

The 23-year-old Transformers actor was well hidden behind an interesting hat with a green sword symbol on it.

Shia was reportedly set to star in director John Hillcoat’s (The Road) upcoming film, The Promised Land, but the film has fallen apart due to financial issues. “My own new project – with a much-loved script by Nick Cave and a dream all-star cast – has fallen apart,” Hillcoat wrote for The Telegraph. “The finance company that we began The Road with has also fallen apart, having to radically downsize to one remaining staff member. The great divide has begun, with only very low-budget films being made or huge 3-D franchise films – the birth of brand films such as Barbie, Monopoly: The Movie – who knows what’s next, Coca-Cola: The Movie?

I end the year appropriately – gazing into the apocalypse of my own industry.”

FORMER Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss has sparked upset by exclaiming "thank god for abortions" during a conversation about babies.

The 44-year-old was chatting to born-again-Christian Stephen Baldwin and ex Dynasty star Stephanie Beacham when she let slip her views.

And in comments that have sparked outrage on internet forums, she said: "I hope I never have babies. That would kill me. Every minute I'd be, 'Is the baby OK?' I'd worry too much.

"Thank God for abortion. I don't mean to offend anyone but I wouldn't be a good mother. I shouldn't have kids."

One viewer, who named themselves Inone, said: "Made me gasp then. Right in front of Stephen as well."

Another, Niamhxo, wrote on the official Big Brother wall: "That's a horrible thing to say if she was serious."

Petite Anna Friel is dwarfed by her tall co-star after another vintage exit from the theatre

At 5ft 2in Anna Friel is used to people towering over her.

But her 6ft 4.5in co-star made her look even more dainty than usual last night.

As Anna left the Haymarket Theatre in London, where she is performing in Breakfast At Tiffany's, she held the hand of actress Gwendoline Christie.

Gwendoline is more than a foot higher than Anna but the mismatched pair are obviously firm friends, holding hands as they walked out.

Gwendoline has talked about her height, saying: 'My parents treated my height as a wonderful thing to be celebrated, but also normal.

'I love being tall as you literally look at life from a different perspective: it's easier to breeze through life's turmoils; there's more room to breathe.'

Robsten Enjoy Mysterious Island Getaway

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart quietly welcomed 2010 together on an island off the south coast of England – a visit that made for an exciting evening for some young locals.

Pattinson, 23, and Stewart, 19, were spotted by a young fan on New Year's Eve in Ventnor, a seaside resort on the Isle of Wight, 80 miles south of Pattinson's family home in west London. The New Moon costars happily posed for photos with the fan outside a grocery store – before vanishing like, well, vampires.

After the pics appeared on a local blog, word spread quickly, and young fans scoured the island looking for the duo. "All the young girls have been trying to find him," said store manager Jez Harmer. "They have been out on a hunt."

But they turned up no clues about where Pattinson and Stewart – who have been coy about their relationship – might have gone. "It's literally a mystery," Harmer said.

British celebrities like Kate Moss, Russell Brand, Peaches Geldof and Amy Winehouse have all paid visits to Ventnor, says Ventnorblogger Sally Perry.

"Well-known artists and musicians have found that they can live normal lives in Ventnor, away from the media glare," she said. "So others tend to follow suit by choosing our lovely town for their special getaways."

Heroes gets faceraped in the ratings by football and The Bachelor

FOX wins the night with The Fiesta Bowl, followed by ABC with the premiere of The Bachelor and CBS with reruns.

The premiere of Conveyor Belt of Love came in second to Boise St. vs. TCU in the 10pm hour.

There was two hours of Heroes on NBC and with the Fiesta Bowl I’m not sure anything can be read into the fate of Heroes once it moves back to 9pm next week, but last night it fared worse in the 9pm hour than it did in the 8pm hour.

The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love from 8-10pm drew an average audience of 9.5 million viewers and a 3.3/8 in Adults 18-49 and was up over its season premiere a year ago in both total viewers (9%) and Adults 18-49 (6%) and was its highest with young adults since April 2007 and was the 2nd most-watched opener of the show in 9 seasons. Outside of the Fiesta Bowl, it was number one with adults 18-34 for the night.

From 8:30pm-11 The Fiesta Bowl averaged a 4.4/11 with adults 18-49 and 13.1 million viewers, but again these are preliminary non time-zone adjusted numbers that are subject to move revision than normal.

As ever, CBS had strong performance from repeats of its Monday night lineup, particularly The Big Bang Theory.

Martin Lawrence producing comedy for black viewers

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Martin Lawrence is returning to TV, executive-producing an African-American comedy for cable network TV One.

"Love That Girl!" -- set to premiere January 19 -- is the latest effort by independent producers to serve an audience on cable that's been largely neglected by studios and broadcasters since the merger of the WB and UPN.

Without so much as a pilot order, writer-director Bentley Kyle Evans ("Martin," "The Jamie Foxx Show") shot four episodes of "Love That Girl!" on a shoestring budget of $1.2 million.

Evans called in favors from friends and colleagues to shoot the episodes over five days in a converted warehouse. Although self-financing a pilot has become more common as producers struggle to break though an increasingly consolidated studio landscape, producing four entire episodes is rare.

"Girl!" is described as a sexy comedy following a young divorcee who returns home to Southern California and takes a job in her father's real estate business and lives with her unemployed brother. It stars Tatyana Ali ("The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "TV One Access").

"It's great to be back in the television game and working with a network like TV One," Evans said. "If executed properly, this will represent a whole new model for producing and delivering quality scripted series to the television market at a reasonable cost."

TV One will show "Girl!" over a three-night period starting January 19. This will mark the first original scripted program to air on TV One, which is available in roughly 50 million homes and typically features specials and syndicated programing, including repeats of "Martin," one of the network's top-rated shows.

If the episodes hit a certain rating, the network will pick up 13-26 additional half-hours. In addition to Lawrence, Evans and Jeff Franklin ("Full House") are executive producers, as are Raphael Saadiq and Trenten Gumbs. In recent years, black comedies have experienced a revival on cable, with TBS drawing large audiences from Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns."

"Payne" likewise had a modest launch, first being tested on several local stations before moving to nationally distributed TBS.

Bigelow's Ex Cameron Convinced Her To Film The Hurt Locker

Hollywood filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow almost passed up the chance to direct award-winning war film The Hurt Locker - until her ex-husband James Cameron convinced her to take on the project.

Bigelow is already generating Oscar buzz with the hit movie, but Cameron confesses his ex wanted to make a film adaptation of Erik Larson's book, The Devil in the White City, when the project came along.

The Avatar director, who says the pair are still friendly after their 1991 split, admits he advised his ex to drop the other film during a chat.

Cameron tells USA Today, "I encouraged her to do The Hurt Locker, because she had gotten that script and let me read it just for comment. I said, 'Jump out of White City and do this film!'"

Don't take science advice from Gwyneth Paltrow

Vinegar shots aren't a magic potion for weight loss and soda pop does not cause wrinkles, no matter what celebrities say, a British science charity declared on Monday.

"The body, including the liver, is a well-oiled detoxing machine which will not be improved by vinegar, whether it be organic, apple cider, unfiltered or your bog standard malt vinegar," said dietician Lucy Jones in the 2009 Celebrities and Science report of the Sense About Science charity trust.
Actress Megan Fox, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and model Cindy Crawford have all promoted the benefits of vinegar. Fergie told CosmoGirl last year: "I do vinegar shots. It has to be organic apple cider, unfiltered. I've noticed a difference on my stomach."

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow ran afoul of science by advocating organic, local foods that are not exposed to pesticides. "When I read about what pesticides do to small animals, I thought, why would I expose my child to that?" she told Good Housekeeping magazine.

Both scientist Dr. John Cherrie of the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Edinburgh and Professor Alan Boobis, a toxicologist at the Imperial College London said Paltrow was missing the point. "It's the dose that makes the poison," said Cherrie.

"Experimental animals," added Boobis, "are exposed to doses substantially greater than those to which consumers will ever be exposed."

Top Model judge rejects plus-size wannabes

Australia's Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson (not pictured) has slammed Australia's plus-size modelling industry, labelling it "non-existent" and declaring no curvy model wannabes will win the reality show on her watch.

Dawson dealt the blow to aspiring plus-size models as hundreds of teenage girls crowded into Chadstone shopping centre in Melbourne's south east today to audition for the sixth series of the Foxtel show.

"There is no market for plus-size models in Australia.... it would be tokenism to put a plus-size girl through just for the sake of it," Dawson told ninemsn.

Dawson said despite the recent shift in the media towards positive coverage of plus-size models the fashion industry in Australia had still not caught up.

"I would like someone to name a plus-size model in Australia because I can't," she said.

"We could have a plus-size model win the competition and she would end up doing catalogues for Target."

Collapse )

I can see what she's trying to get at - despite the average size of an Australian woman being 12-14, I don't see much advertising going on with plus sized models. But instead of making these sort of derogatory remarks about it, maybe she could at least start doing something about it - like by being more open minded about accepting plus sized models into the competition.

The new season of No Reservations begins January 11th on the Travel Channel. In the preview teaser, he’s seen in Panama burning tons of cocaine, an integral ingredient in many American restaurant kitchens. I asked him to describe that situation, considering he was a former user. He said that we’d all “just have to watch” but it was a lot of smoke, fire, and probably some tears. He then continued, “They actually told us to burn our shoes. The entire crew was each walking around with an eight-ball in the grooves of their shoes.”

Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ breaks U.S. box-office record

CHICAGO - The coming-of-age comedy, 3 Idiots, starring Aamir Khan, has set a U.S. box-office record for Bollywood films. Since its December 23rd release, it has earned $4.8 million from nearly 120 American theaters. The film collected $2.2 million during its opening weekend here and ranked 12th at the American box office that week. Worldwide, it has earned $52 million so far—also a box-office record for Indian movies—and it’s still showing to packed theaters in its domestic market. Indian films gross considerably less than American films because ticket prices in India are much cheaper.

3 Idiots, which tells the story of three friends struggling at a competitive university, breaks the previous Bollywood records of $49 million in worldwide revenue—also set by an Aamir Khan-starrer, the psychological thriller
Ghajini, which released in December 2008—and $3.7 million in U.S. revenue—set in 2007 by Om Shanti Om, a campy spoof about the Indian film industry, starring Shahrukh Khan.

Shahrukh Khan’s films have historically dominated the U.S. market—and he may reclaim the top spot here soon. His upcoming film,
My Name Is Khan, which is set in the U.S. and was filmed in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento, is expected to release on February 12. The film—about a man with Asperger syndrome who is wrongly accused of terrorism—is being distributed in North America by Fox Searchlight Pictures, which distributed the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), both starring Shahrukh Khan, are among the all-time highest-grossing Bollywood films in the U.S.

As someone who barely ever watches Bollywood unless SRK is in it, I can say that this movie is actually VERY good. Bollywood is really taking steps in the right direction. It was very inspiring and well made, so Kudos to them.

Bad news for magic fans hoping for Siegfried and Roy's return to the stage: not gonna happen. Siegfried Fischbacher is quoted in Tuesday's edition of German magazine Neues Blatt as saying that "Roy and I miss our audience. But there will not be a comeback."

The duo gave their final performance last February after a five-year hiatus. That break, of course, came after Roy Horn was mauled by a white tiger named Montecore during a performance at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

Siegfried says Roy is still battling the long-term effects of the vicious attack, which left Horn in critical condition with severe blood loss.

"It is a miracle that he can stand on his own feet again and enjoy life," Siegfried said of Roy who is partially paralyzed.

The two performers, who are originally from Germany and live in Las Vegas, are getting used to their new life as retirees. "We like it," Siegfried said.

Battery charge against Gerard Butler dropped

LOS ANGELES – A judge has dropped a misdemeanor battery charge against Gerard Butler.

Superior Court spokeswoman Mary Hearn says the charge was dismissed at a hearing Tuesday after the actor completed community service.

Butler could have faced up to six months in jail if convicted
. His attorney, Blair Berk, declined to comment.

City prosecutors say the Scottish-born star of "300" had a run-in with a photographer on Oct. 7 after leaving a premiere party for the film "RocknRolla."

His manager has said Butler was forced to have his driver stop the car after the photographer sped through red lights and almost struck two pedestrians.

City Attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan says prosecutors are "satisfied" with the outcome.

Law & Order: SVU is once again living up to its title as the most stunt-casting-obsessed series on television. Sharon Stone is joining the cast for a four-episode arc beginning in April.

The Oscar-nominated actress will play a former cop-turned-prosecutor who will (presumably) go toe-to-toe with Benson, Stabler, and the gang.

“It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon’s wattage and importance joining SVU,” raves SVU boss Dick Wolf.

This isn’t Stone’s first flirtation with the small screen. In 2004, she won an Emmy for playing nutjob attorney Sheila Carlisle in three episodes of ABC’s The Practice. And the following year she recurred on Showtime’s Huff as a high-powered PR exec.

Thoughts? Did SVU top themselves? Who should SVU’s next dream hire be? Sound off below!

Controversy over Chloe Moretz swearing in Kick-Ass red band trailer

The Kick-Ass movie trailer is starting to make the rounds on the internet, and although many fans are looking forward to this movie, as it's based on a popular comic book, many discussion threads are starting to pop up about whether it's appropriate for the 12-year-old star Chloe Moretz to be swearing so much in the film.

Chloe Moretz plays Hit-Girl in the movie, which also stars Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Mark Strong, and is directed by Matthew Vaughn, and in the movie Chloe uses the f-word and the c-word while shooting people in the head and cutting off limbs.

This is along the lines of the comic series, which is extremely violent, but some parents and groups are starting to get upset about the implications of so much swearing, so young, in a movie. The movie however, will be rated-R, but with so much available on the internet already, many are asking the question 'is Hollywood pushing the envelope too far?'

JLo: I could've won an Oscar

In a fairly honest interview with Latina magazine, pop star, actress, and mother Jennifer Lopez opens up about what it's like to be her. We especially enjoyed the parts where she daydreamed about winning the Oscar for her role in the critically dismissed El Cantante the way, well, any normal person with big dreams would:

"I feel like I had that [Oscar-worthy role] in El Cantante, but I don’t even think the Academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great ... Well, it is a little bit frustrating. It was funny; when the Oscars were on, I had just given birth on the 22nd, and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins — I couldn’t have been happier — but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?’ ‘Thank you so much! I just want to thank the Academy!’ But we joked about it. It’s all good.”

Maybe She Did It For The Money?

The NY Post Slams Beyonce for Performing For Terrorists

The NY Post wrote a scathing piece today slamming burlesque singer Beyonce for performing a private 1-hour concert for the son of Muslim Libyan terrorist, Moammar Khadafy.

This is more evidence that celebrities will do anything for money and fame.

Beyonce performed for an hour on New Year’s Eve at a party thrown by terror-backing Libyan dictator Moammar Khadafy’s son, Hannibal, who has a long record of violence against women.

Some vacationers on the island were aghast. DJ Sam Young tweeted: “Jigga [Jay-Z], Beyonce & Usher were @ Nikki Beach performing for Khadafy family, WTF?” Read More…

Apparently, Khadafy’s son Hannibal beat his wife to a pulp inside their hotel room over the Christmas holidays. The wife suffered a broken nose, among other injuries, and had to be hospitalized.

The criticism is so damaging that Beyonce’s camp at first denied that Beyonce received a $2 million fee to perform. Then they denied that Beyonce even performed. But music magnate Russell Simmons already tweeted the pics from the concert and confirmed that she was there performing. It remains to be seen how this one will play out.

Thanks to loyal reader Gina for the tip!

For Ke$ha, Time Is Now. (New Photoshoot)

Like many musicians in Los Angeles, Ke$ha survived her lean early years by snacking on the free food offered during happy hour at myriad dive bars. But her situation was a little different. She was scavenging at the same time her voice was all over the radio — she sang the chorus hook of Flo Rida’s Right Round, one of the biggest pop singles of 2009.

“We were both working with (producer) Dr. Luke and it was an accident I was even on it,” said the young San Fernando Valley native, born Kesha Sebert, whose debut album, Animal, is out on Tuesday. “I never made any money off it, that’s why I put the dollar sign in my name as a joke. But I was happy being in that bar with two dollars in change wearing clothes I found in the garbage surrounded by people who love me.”

Ke$ha should soon be able to treat her friends to a few rounds of PBR. Her single TiK ToK, a rapturously dumb electro-pop banger was downloaded 610,000 times in its first week, the highest total for a female artist in one week since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking the figures.

Her album, Animal, which already is a top-5 iTunes album as a pre-order, tackles the evergreen topics of stalking boys who don’t like her and whether rad boots are preferable to male company. It’s all part of a master plan, she says — winning equal rights for women to abuse boys in songs the way dudes have done for decades.

“I’m just talking about men the way they’ve talked about women for years,” she said. “If you listen to LMFAO, it’s all about how women are pieces of meat. I find that stuff funny, so I want to do it back to them.”

Merman Jason Statham Co-Star Sylvester Stallone Breaks Neck

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Movie action hero Sylvester Stallone broke his neck while filming a fight scene during his new film The Expendables.

The star revealed to FHM magazine he suffered a hairline fracture and needed to have a metal plate inserted in his neck after a "vicious" fight between him and wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin in the movie, which also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and British actor Jason Statham.

"Man, it was seven guys, kicking each other's ass, one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy," Stallone said.

"Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not joking. I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards.

"I now have a metal plate in my neck."

The Expendables follows a secret team of special military operatives who work together to overthrow a dictator in South America. It is due for release in the middle of 2010.

Did Diabetes Play a Role in Casey Johnson's Death?

Police investigating the death of Casey Johnson say that although the Johnson & Johnson heiress had a well-known drug abuse problem, she may have died from not taking her diabetes medication.

Johnson, who was diagnosed with diabetes as a child and had worked with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, told the New York Observer in 2000 that she gave herself insulin shots every day.

"She was still suffering from diabetes and she was still on diabetic medications," a police source with knowledge of the situation tells PEOPLE. "The speculation is she came home after a night of partying and passed out without taking her meds or her insulin and that was the end of her."

Police say there was no sign of foul play and, although Johnson, 30, had battled drug problems in the past, there were no obvious signs that she took any illicit drugs before her death.

An autopsy was imminent, although a conclusive report might take several weeks pending the results of toxicology tests.

The source also notes that Johnson has had some wild ups and downs in her life over the past few months. She had become engaged last month to reality star Tila Tequila. And about five weeks ago, she was arrested on suspicion of grand theft for allegedly stealing from a fellow Hollywood party girl.

Johnson, who leaves behind a toddler daughter Ava whom she had adopted, was the great-great granddaughter of the founder of the pharmaceutical giant, and the daughter of New York Jets owner Robert Wood Johnson.

Kanye West writes a blog post without capslock, feeds homeless people in the meantime

I wanted to believe that a publicist wrote this but I do think it's him. I am most saddened that Our Lord Yesus Christ has turned from capslocking, but hopefully he will return to the path of the light and of the lulz. Yet while all of his loyal followers await that joyous day, he's working on new music and we should be thankful for our blessings.

If Bill Kraulitz gave birth to its baby with Corey Feldman, it would look like this dude

I'm looking forward to the bad auditions for the lulz but I doubt anyone will top James Lewis from S7 for the worst audition.

EXCLUSIVE: Taylor Lautner Is Now Hollywood's Highest Paid Teenage Actor

By Nikki Finke

I've just learned that Taylor Lautner is now being paid per ab. That's right, the 17-year-old co-star of the Twilight Saga franchise who's famous for his buff physique that is making girls scream when he takes off his shirt in New Moon, is getting $7.5 million for his next pic. The project is Paramount's Northern Lights, a Tom Cruise vehicle to be directed by John Moore (Max Payne) with a start date of April 1st. The logline says the pic is about "a gifted, young, aerobatics pilot who faces off with his controlling, billionaire father and falls in love with a gifted, female pilot). That shitload of money negotiated by WME now makes Taylor Lautner into the highest paid teenage actor around. (I'm told that neither Zac Efron nor Miley Cyrus have ever gotten a salary even close to that for their films. Amazing!)

Production on 'Spiderman 4' delayed indefinitely

A holiday hiatus has turned into an indefinite vacation for "Spider-Man 4."

A Sony source confirmed that the studio is postponing production on the fourth installment of its superhero franchise, which was scheduled to begin lensing in February. Word began circulating among fanboys in mid-December that pre-production had ground to a halt on "Spidey 4" due to script problems with the Sam Raimi-helmed tentpole. At the time, the studio insisted that crew members were merely taking a two-week Christmas break.

Move echoes that of another Sony tentpole that was postponed due to script problems. In November 2007, Sony put "Angels & Demons" on ice until screenplay issues could be resolved. That film was originally slotted for a Christmas 2008 bow. Instead, it opened May 15, 2009.

In the case of "Angels & Demons," the script was rushed because of the looming WGA strike. With "Spider-Man 4," the studio has been fielding drafts of the script for years, with everyone from David Koepp to James Vanderbilt taking a crack at it. Alvin Sargent is currently retooling the story.

Sony still has "Spidey 4" skedded for May 6, 2011, though that date has become highly unlikely. The postponement would leave the first big weekend of next summer up for grabs by other studios.

"We'll try, but I think making May is a real question," the source said. "We will not start until we have it right. The feeling is we are not going to rush it to make the date."

Sam Mendes to direct next Bond movie (maybe)

It's Mendes. Sam Mendes.

The British helmer is in negotiations to direct the 23rd installment of the venerable James Bond franchise.

Production is being fast-tracked and could begin as early as June with an eye toward a 2011 release. Plans for the film are moving forward despite a possible sale of MGM. Sony co-produced and distributed the most recent installment of the 007 series with MGM.

Bond regulars Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing, along with "Frost/Nixon" scribe Peter Morgan. Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007.

The film will be Mendes' first action-heavy project, though his 2005 effort "Jarhead" was set amid U.S. war in Kuwait. Mendes' most recent directorial effort, the road-trip dramedy "Away We Go," grossed $10 million domestically last summer.

Marc Forster directed the previous Bond film, 2008's "Quantum of Solace," which grossed $586 million worldwide.

Earlier today I posted that there's a delay because of MGM problems...so IDK how that will work. But I LOVE him, so I think this is

Sean Penn Returns to 'The Three Stooges' Movie

The retirement is over! Remember when Sean Penn left Hollywood and the remake of The Three Stooges to focus on his family? Only a few months later, the divorce was final, and now that it's the New Year, Sean Penn is looking to get back to work. The Boston Herald reports that he's back on to play Larry in the Farrelly Brothers remake, which is still going forward. "We got him back. He always said he wanted to do it after, you know, taking care of his family," says Bobby Farrelly

As the Herald writes, there were rumors that Penn would be replaced by Paul Giamatti, but that was a no-go and without stars, the film couldn't kick into gear for its August start date. Now the brothers are shooting Hail Pass with Owen Wilson next month, and then, presumably, will focus on The Stooges. ...if they get the rest of the cast in place.

Larry is good and set, and with Penn back on, Benicio Del Toro is still keen to play Moe. That leaves the one final -- and many would argue -- most important Stooge left ... Curly. Bobby Farrelly says Jim Carrey isn't interested, so who could it possibly be?

He retired? I missed that. He should totally call up Johnny, though. They're friends and he'd so do it.

Anna Kendrick casting news!

Anna Kendrick has signed on to her first film since earning kudos for her breakout role in "Up in the Air."

The actress will join James McAvoy and Seth Rogen in the untitled Mandate dramedy formerly known as "I'm With Cancer," which has also found a new helmer in Jonathan Levine ("The Wackness"). He replaces Nicole Holofcener, who dropped out because of personal reasons.

McAvoy toplines as Adam, a 25-year-old who learns he has cancer -- a character based on the real-life experiences of Will Reiser, who was diagnosed with cancer in his mid-20s and successfully battled the disease over several years. Reiser wrote the screenplay, which marks his debut feature project.

Kendrick will play a young psychologist assigned to handle Adam's case despite her lack of experience.

Film begins lensing in next month in Vancouver.

Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin are producing. Reiser is exec producing alongside Mandate prexy Nathan Kahane. Mandate's Tendo Nagenda is co-producing.

Mandate International will be handling international sales at next month's European Film Market in Berlin.

Levine is best known for the Gotham-set coming-of-age pic "The Wackness," which he wrote and directed.

Levine is repped by CAA, the Nervik Co. and attorney Todd Stern.

Kendrick, who most recently earned a Golden Globe nomination for "Up in the Air," will next be seen in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "Eclipse," the third installment in the "Twilight" franchise. Both films are set to be released this year.

Kendrick is handled by CAA and attorney Todd Rubenstein.

Resolved: source.

Glad she's continuing to get work, which should surprise no one. Oscar nomination looks likely for her as well. And James McAvoy is awesome, so... ;]

Jeremy Piven's Scar

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The "Entourage" star tells us he got banged up bad doing theater work back in the day -- so bad it left big scars on the back of his head.

Piven -- who was photographed in Hawaii -- tells us on December 17, he went under the knife for a "scar minimizing procedure." We never heard of it either, but supposedly it reduces the scarring. But Piven says he had no idea post-op scarring would be so prominent.

So what's Jeremy gonna do? He says he was thinking of shaving his head but can't because of continuity problems with "Entourage."

Our advice -- chicks dig scars.

this would be awesome if it was straight down the middle. like a penis.

Entertainment Weekly's 10 to Watch in 2010

Alia Shawkat, Jay Baruchel, and Mia Wasikowska aren't household names. But they're just a few of the people you should keep your eye on in 2010.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Where you've seen him: In a word? Everywhere. Since his first big break as the lead in Judd Apatow's short-lived Fox comedy Undeclared, the 27-year-old has nailed stand-out supporting roles in a string of hit movies, including Million Dollar Baby (2004), Knocked Up (2007), Tropic Thunder (2008), and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009).

Big in 2010 because: He'll voice the lead character in Dreamworks' 3-D animated adventure How to Train Your Dragon (out in March), and then play an average Joe dating a hottie in She's Out of My League (also March) before co-starring with Nicolas Cage in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced live-action adaptation of The Sorcerer's Apprentice (July).

Street Buskers on Grafton Street in Dublin Christmas Eve

If you were doing some last-minute shopping on Grafton Street in Dublin on Christmas Eve 2009, you may have stumbled upon some musicians busking to raise money for a local charity. Look closely and you'll notice among the buskers are an Oscar winner and a Grammy winner. In just under two hours, more than €2000 had been raised.

Three days earlier, Glen Hansard had revisited his busking roots and shown up on Grafton Street along with Noreen O'Donnell (a former member of Hansard's band The Frames) and multi-platinum-selling Irish artist Mundy, for an hour-long busk which raised €812 for the Dublin Simon Community. You can see them playing Mundy's big hit before the gardai shut things down. This inspired Glen to post to twitter and his other band's website, urging people to get out and busk for a few hours on Christmas Eve to raise some more money.
