“Meeting him was vampiric. He sucked my blood,” laughed Weisz, remembering their introduction. “Wait, is he the vampire? He is the vampire, right?”
Yes he is, Rachel. And in “Unbound Captives,” Pattinson is eager to portray a teen living in the Western frontier who was kidnapped by Comanche warriors at a young age; Weisz is slated to play the mother on a mission to get her son back. Co-starring alongside Hugh Jackman, Pattinson told us recently that “Captives” offers him a character who “can’t really be more different from Edward,” the leading man of “Twilight.”
“It’s an independent movie, and they are raising the money, so hopefully it’ll happen,” Weisz said of the flick, which will mark the writing and directing debut of veteran actress Madeline Stowe. “I don’t know if it will [be made], but yeah, I’m very excited.
“It’s a great screenplay, and [Pattinson and Jackman] are both great actors,” Weisz added of why she is attached to the film. “I like to work with all kinds of talented people, whatever the age.”
Weisz — who can be seen later this month in director Peter Jackson’s drama “The Lovely Bones” — said another reason she’s eager to work with RPattz is his mystique.
“He wasn’t star-struck. He’s got a whole rebel vibe, right? Yeah, that was his vibe,” she said of their meeting. “He’s kind of iconoclastic. He’s flaunting authority. Yeah, pretty cool.”
Also, Hitfix talks about Grey's Anatomy and about Elizabeth and others being on the show:
And just because we may have known that Sandra Oh or Sara Ramirez were powerhouses or that Jessica Capshaw had the genes to be a decent actress, did we know that they could be this good?
That's an amazing amount of assembled talent and an amazing amount of high quality material to allow those actors to thrive (mostly). And that's saying nothing of extended guest turns for people like Kate Burton and Elizabeth Reaser or the top-notch co-stars who have popped up for a single episode or a multi-episode malady.

Typically, I would be bummed that Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy and Britney all topped Muse's plays. (And Taylor Swift had 1/3 of Muse's listeners, wtf. Are Taylor Fans fucking crazy obsessed?) But I hated The Resistance, so I am pretty indifferent towards it. I can't wait to see them live this spring though. :')
Next week’s release of Rob Marshall’s “Nine” will cap off what is surely one of this decade’s most notable cinematic trends: The return of the movie musical. Outside of animated films, the movie musical had essentially been considered dead for nearly two decades. There had once been a time when musicals routinely won multiple Oscars and would even find themselves among the year’s top grossing films. There were five musical Best Picture winners out of eight nominees between 1958 and 1969, one of which - “The Sound of Music” - grossed the present day equivalent of $1,022,542,400 dollars. And while the 1970s and early 1980s brought a few notable examples (“Grease” wasn’t exactly an Oscar favorite, it grossed over $500 million when adjusted for inflation), between 1984 and 2000, only one live action musical (“Evita”) received an Oscar nomination or grossed over $15 million domestically.
But then came the 2000s. First, two innovative indies - Lars Von Trier’s “Dancer In The Dark” and John Cameron Mitchell’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” - drew international acclaim and managed to rake in reasonable specialty box office. Then came Baz Luhrmann’s “Moulin Rouge!,” which managed a $57 million gross - the highest any musical had seen since 1982’s “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” - and received 8 Academy Award nominations, including best picture. Hollywood took notice, and from that point forward, big-budgeted, star-studded musical “events” seemed to meet us every year. While overall, they didn’t find a perfect financial or critical record (“The Producers” is the best example of both), they certainly spiced up the mainstream cinematic landscape, and often found themselves major fixtures during awards season. So, in anticipation of “Nine,” let’s run down the twelve films that led up to it and how they ended up fairing come awards time. We’ll end off with consideration of how “Nine” - which I got a chance to see last night when it opened the Dubai International Film Festival - might play out.

Asked if it was his worst error in the last decade, he replied: “OK, yeah. I suppose that has to be the prime contender.”
But the former Beatle, who has a six-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with former model Miss Mills, refused to criticise his ex-wife in an interview with Q magazine.
He said: “I don’t want to down anyone. These things happen. I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it.”
Although Sir Paul avoided mentioning Miss Mills, who walked away with a £24.3 million settlement after they divorced last year, he did reveal he is happy with Nancy Shevell, his new girlfriend, according to the Daily Mirror.
He was asked to name “the best things about this century” and said: “Just being with my children. And having a new girlfriend. That is very nice, thank you.”
Despite the acrimonious divorce, Sir Paul, 67, insisted he has had a good time for most of the past 10 years, saying: “I’ve managed to feel quite fulfilled this decade.”
He also dismissed rumours he will retire soon. “I have too much fun,” he said. “Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch TV? No thanks. I’d rather be out playing.”
Miss Mills’ divorce deal was made up of a lump sum of £16.5 million plus assets and property, worth around £7.8 million.

The 24-year-old Twilight hunk - and former Abercrombie model! - weighed in on what he loves to see on a girl. Here’s what Kellan had to say:
On not showing everything: “It’s nice to see bits and pieces of a woman exposed. As a guy, you get that mystery — especially when a dress or top isn’t too snug.”
On layering: “Layers add excitement. I think, Once I take the sweater off and I’m able to touch her arms, how soft are they going to be?”
On wearing comfy clothes: “The coolest part about seeing a girl wear something comfortable is the smile that you can just feel coming through from inside her.”

As the Blind Side crosses the $130 million mark (and counting), studio executives throughout Hollywood are ordering their assistants to send their congratulations to Bullock’s doorstep — often in bubbly, liquid form. “No one really drinks in our house, so we don’t really do anything with that,” the actress says, pulling her long hair into a loose pony tail. “But we get a lot of champagne!” The Blind Side comes just five months after Bullock made her long-anticipated return to her romantic comedy roots in The Proposal, which surpassed everyone’s expectations by going on to rake in $314 million worldwide.
The 45-year-old is enjoying the best year of her acting career, which may bode well for everyone who wants to see more well-told stories about grown women up on the big screen. “Sexism is everywhere. Ageism is everywhere. But you know know what? It’s about making money. Look at what Sarah Jessica Parker did with Sex and the City. Look at what Meryl Streep is doing” — she pauses to laugh — “every other week! The proof is in the pudding. I didn’t have the ‘Oh my God, I’m not working because I’m 40.’ I was working when I was 40. I’ve never had this many opportunities in my lifetime.”
The 42-year-old Australian actress was joined by costars Penelope Cruz and Fergie at the premiere.
The movie is about film director Guido Contini, played by Daniel Day-Lewis, who tries to find peace in his life while engaging in relationships with his wife, mistress, muse, agent, and mother.
Nine hits theaters on December 25.

After a rough, rough year for the eight Gosselin kids -- their parents Jon and Kate Gosselin will divorce imminently and their hit reality show is no more -- at least they can look forward to a visit from ol' Saint Nick come Dec. 25. Well, not exactly.
"They don't believe in Santa Claus," a Gosselin pal reveals of 9 year-old twins Mady and Cara and 5 year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aeden, Collin, Leah and Joel. "Mady and Cara ruined it for the sextuplets," the source explains, "and told them a few years ago that Santa wasn't real, and that their presents come from Mommy and Daddy."
Sadly, the holiday anti-cheer has also spread to little ones outside the family's Wernersville, Penn. compound, the source reports: "The sextuplets are the ones at school who tell the other kids there's no Santa Claus."
Whether or not the eight kids leave out cookies for Santa, Christmas season has arrived at the Gosselin home: the transitioning brood has set up a twelve-foot tree, decorated with white lights and a big star on top, in the family room at the back of the house.
'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam talks about his screenplay for 'Vlad' (sorry, no vampires)
Yes, Vlad the Impaler, a 15th century badass whose penchant for brutality and fighting at night were meant to strike fear in the heart of the Ottoman Empire and give his outnumbered forces an advantage on their home battlefield, was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. And yes, the Vlad screenplay, written by Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, will be produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Summit Entertainment, the studio behind Twilight. But no, you will not be seeing vampires. In fact, that was a non-negotiable point for Hunnam, who became fascinated with Vlad, a national hero of Romania, when he spent five months traveling the country during downtime filming 2003’s Cold Mountain.
It wasn’t until Hunnam (who’d previously starred in the UK Queer as Folk, 2002’s Nicholas Nickleby, and Fox’s Judd Apatow series Undeclared) became frustrated with the sort of roles he was being offered that he finally sat down three years ago to write his first script. Development has been staggered — interrupted by both the writers’ strike and Hunnam’s casting as Jax on FX’s Anarchy, which just received a third season order — but this week comes news that in-demand music video director Anthony Mandler is in line to helm the film after wowing execs with a reel reminiscent of Zack Snyder’s 300. Here, Hunnam tells us about the film’s plot (he’s the hottest history teacher you’ll ever have) and who he’d love to see cast as Vlad (Colin Farrell or himself?).

Amanda Peet is pregnant again!
The actress, 36, and her husband of three years, screenwriter David Benioff are expecting their second child, her rep tells Usmagazine.com exclusively.
In 2007, Peet -- who recently appeared in the sci-fi flick 2012 -- welcomed daughter Frances "Frankie" Pen, whom she named after her mother, Penny.
Peet has said motherhood is not what she expected.
"One surprise of motherhood for me was how little control I have," she told Cookie magazine last summer. "I thought it would be an extended, blissful romance with me at the helm, cuddling this little creature to life. It's been bittersweet and humbling to let her lead, and to try not to be perfect myself."
Last month, Peet told Parade she hopes her daughter doesn't grow up too fast.
"I'm trying not to think about what the world will be like when she grows up," she said. "I think more about when is she going to start drinking and wearing a G-string and how can I stop those things from happening."

The Daniel Day-Lewis interview is set for Friday and then it's set for Saturday. It's at 3.30pm; it's at 1.15pm; it may not happen at all. Inside the swish London hotel, the press handlers are all hunched over their clipboards while Italian journalists keep tripping over TV cables in the corridor. Eventually, a pair of publicists forge through the melee to assure me that yes, the interview will indeed take place – but not right now. "Can we bring you some food while you wait?" asks the first publicist. "There's no food," says the second.
By this point I'm starting to wonder whether the Nine press junket might be some ornate PR stunt by the Weinstein Company, a fiendish simulacrum of the film itself. Nine casts Day-Lewis as a movie director in crisis, blinded by the flashbulbs and hounded by the press, and I have the sense that we are playing the whole thing out again today. This impression only grows when the actor is finally ushered into the room, where he slumps into his seat and proceeds to quote a line from the script.
BRITISH model Jourdan Dunn has given birth to a baby boy, VOGUE.COM can exclusively reveal. The baby was born at midday on Tuesday December 8 and weighed just over seven pounds. The model and her partner haven't yet decided on a name.
"Jourdan is really well and super happy," a spokesperson for her agency, Storm, revealed today. "She is due to get home from the hospital with her little boy today."
Jourdan, who has been with her boyfriend for the past five years, was picking up her Model of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards this time last year - and it seems fashion is keen to get her back as soon as possible. Industry rumours suggest that Dunn's baby was approached to make his modelling debut before he was even born, with brands keen to photograph him alongside his famous mother.

It looks like Holly Madison has finally found love in Sin City. According to new reports, the former Girl Next Door is dating Paris Hilton’s ex, Benji Madden.
Life & Style is reporting that after months of flirting with each other on Twitter, Holly and Benji are officially a couple. Holly spilled the news herself on Dec. 3 at the opening of the Crystals Retail and Entertainment District, saying, "You can say I'm hanging out with someone I have a crush on.”
But Holly is making sure she doesn’t get too ahead of herself. She continued saying, "[Benji] is just someone I have a crush on...for now!" Eyewitnesses also caught the lovebirds grabbing a coffee at Starbucks, and said they were definitely acting like a couple. "It was obvious something was going on between them," says an eyewitness. "Benji stood next to Holly with his arm around her. He was rubbing her lower back and the top of her butt, and she was hanging on his shoulder. They were laughing and flirting the entire time. They couldn't take their hands off each other!"
Benji definitely seems to have a type! What do you think of this new couple?

Kumail Nanjiani has had quite the year. Aside from being featured in New York's "Ten Comedians to Watch" feature this past March, he's performed on the Late Show with David Letterman, sold a sitcom idea to NBC, and even roasted Willem Dafoe when he hosted the Gotham Awards just a few weeks ago. However, all of this pales in comparison to the recent evening in which his stand-up set at New York City's Slipper Room was interrupted by none other than the same man who recently threatened to "forcefully sodomize" your friendly Vulture editors, Mr. John Mayer.
While we had heard some word of Mayer's bizarre stand-up appearance bubbling around, it wasn't until we attended last night's Get Off Your Knees comedy night at the Bell House in Brooklyn that we realized how deep the story went. After an opening set from his Michael and Michael Have Issues co-star Michael Showalter, Nanjiani took the mike and proceeded to tell the crowd of 200 or so attendees about the incident in which John Mayer showed up at the Slipper Room unannounced last Tuesday night and asked the evening's emcee, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's Seth Herzog, if he could do five minutes of stand-up. According to Nanjiani, who was originally scheduled to take the stage when Mayer showed up, Mayer then proceeded to bomb for not five minutes, but for twenty, eating into Nanjiani's performance time. Which would have been fine, except Mayer then decided to come back out onstage AGAIN in the middle of Nanjiani's set. This is when things got weird.

It turns out that this is not the case. MTV News' Josh Horowitz spoke with Cameron and producer Jon Landau on the red carpet at the London premiere of "Avatar," and the project in question has nothing to do with space-age samurai. The actual plan is to remake sci-fi classic "Fantastic Voyage," in 3-D, with Cameron taking on the role of producer.
In the original, a small team attempts to save the life of a nearly-assassinated diplomat through a uniquely invasive surgical procedure. The magic of science allows the doctors to be shrunken down to microscopic size and injected into the ailing diplomat's body. Piloting a specialized submersible craft -- also tiny -- the team attempts to repair with the diplomat's condition -- a blood clot in his brain -- on a cellular level.
The original hit theaters in 1966, long before digital effects were a factor in Hollywood filmmaking. One can only imagine how cool (and gooey) the diplomat's computer generated innards could be made to look with today's techniques. Add 3-D to that mix and... well... count me as excited. Stay tuned to MTV.com for additional updates... more to come when the Movies team returns from their trip across the Atlantic.
this is totally a movie that could use a remake..
One of the big questions this Oscar season surrounds the chances of such sci-fi genre fare as Avatar, Star Trek and District 9 to land on Oscar’s best-picture Top Ten List. I did into that question here and come up with some surprising answers.
The bottom line is, in order for these films to make it into major Oscar contention, they will have to be among the voters’ top choices. And in order for that to happen, they will need to be critically-hailed game-changers that move them out of mere genre status. If Avatar (which I will see Thursday night) becomes a game-changer like Star Wars, it will do fine. District 9 could use some help from critics’ groups. And Star Trek will probably have to settle for technical noms, with an outside shot at an adapted screenplay slot (a tough category).
IMO sharlto copley better get an oscar nomination!!!
It could have been her most compelling performance in years – but Liza Minnelli has cancelled the show. It has emerged that the 63-year-old singer has unexpectedly settled a long-running and expensive legal battle against her former driver, just days before she was due to appear in a New York court to face accusations that she'd beaten him while drunk and forced him into sex.
Ms Minnelli struck a deal with M'Hammed Soumayah, who was her chauffeur for over a decade before being fired in 2004, to drop a lawsuit in which he sought a total of $100m [£62.5m] for assault and battery, breach of contract, personal injury, and multiple counts of sexual harassment. The terms of the deal are confidential, said presiding judge Paul Feinman, adding that "the entire action has been settled and discontinued". The deal was reached on 13 November, four days before Ms Minnelli would have been required to give evidence under oath.

Chris Brown's third studio album Graffiti is poised to earn the title of being next week's top debut on the Billboard 200.
Projected to arrive on the chart with close to 100,000 copies moved, Brown's anticipated album is expected to top totals from hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, BG and Clipse.
Featuring the hit singles "I Can Transform Ya" and "Crawl," Brown's Graffiti arrived in stores Tuesday. Since its release, Graffiti has garnered mixed reviews from sources including The Los Angeles Times, Slant Magazine and Entertainment Weekly, the latter of which gave the album a 'B-'.
Graffiti follows Brown's mega hit sophomore effort Exclusive which spawned the singles "Wall To Wall," "Kiss Kiss," "Take You Down," Forever," and "Superhuman". The album also aided Brown in snapping up Artist of the Year at the 2008 American Music Awards.
Graffiti is now available in stores and at digital retail.
A couple weeks after “Star Trek” opened with a $75 million first weekend and Chris Pine went from largely unknown actor to global superstar, the 29-year-old actor found himself a target of the paparazzi, who convinced there was something going on between him and “The Hills” star Audrina Patridge.
A couple weeks ago, MTV News honored Chris as one of the people we’re most thankful for in 2009, and during a wide-ranging conversation about the “Trek” franchise and the future of his career, talk inevitably turned to one thing Chris ain’t so happy about in 2009: those pesky photogs that targeted him earlier in the year.
“I certainly despise them with all my soul,” he said.
As prepared for the intrusion as he was before the blockbuster success of “Trek,” Chris admitted there’s truly no way to prepare for the reality of paps staking out your home and waiting to snap snap snap as soon as you emerge into daylight.
“In terms of the private life stuff, I understood what would or could happen because of my involvement in something so big, but you don’t really understand it until it starts happening and people are waiting outside your house,” he said. “And I live in an apartment on a busy street. It was pretty brutal when the movie first came out, and then it dies down and the paparazzi lose their interest and go after the next flavor of the day.”
For all the hassle of increased media attention on his personal life, Chris characterized the tabloid spotlight as a fair trade-off, or as he put it, “the deal with the devil you make.”
“I would say that artistically it’s been everything I wanted,” he continued.” ‘Star Trek’ has afforded me the luxury of choice in terms of what I want to do and where I want to take my career,” he said. “I don’t know how long that will last for, but certainly right now I’m enjoying that immensely.”

Katie Couric has a sense of humor about the photos that hit the Internet showing her dirty dancing at the after-party celebrating her debut as "CBS Evening News" anchor.
"Actually, my assistant and I are now planning a pairs figure-skating dance routine based on them," she joked to Page Six at the launch party for Dan Abrams' new site, Mediaite. "It wasn't actually the image I was trying to project, but I'll go with it," Couric said.
Abrams, who's adding three sites to his stable, responded to questions about whether he was positioning himself as a competitor to the Gawker Media empire, saying: "I know [Gawker publisher] Nick Denton. I like Nick Denton. I'm no Nick Denton." Also at the Plaza for the party were Ann Curry, Dan Rather, Cosmopolitan editor Kate White, Hearst's Cathie Black, and Times business reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin.

MTV axes 'It's On with Alexa Chung'
MTV live talker "It's On With Alexa Chung" will not be returning after its second-season finale Dec. 17.
Series, hosted by the British TV personality, featured interviews, musical guests and pop-culture news along with an interactive component. Having debuted as an hourlong show in June, it returned for its second season Oct. 19 as a half-hour in a new 3:30 p.m. timeslot.
MTV programming prexy Tony DiSanto told Daily Variety the cabler is "100% committed" to a studio-based, live pop-culture show with music and interviews, but indicated that the network is still searching for the right formula.
"The difference between these (and scripted shows) is you have to develop these on the air," said DiSanto, adding that "we make the changes until we settle on the show that's what we want."
Steve Tseckares, hired by MTV last month as senior veep of special programming and production, said that a revamped program would premiere in January. Until then, MTV will air a mix of repeats and specials in the timeslot.
Chung's contract with the network expires early next year, and MTV is "leaving it open" as far as future plans with her.

Score one for the wife vs baby mama debate. I'm gonnna go out on a limb and say if Kelis hadn't been married to Nas, she probably wouldn't have just been awarded $51,000.00 a month in alimony. According to court documents released yesterday, Nas' permanent support order is for $10,647 a month in child support and $40,454 a month in spousal support.
For that, Nas still had to request overnight visits with his son, which is now under review. But to her credit, Kelis, who recently signed a record deal with Will.I.Am's label, says she tried to reconcile with her husband back in September but it didn't work out.

[Trevor] Neilson's specialty wasn't deciding where philanthropic dollars could be spent most effectively; it was advising benefactors on how to use their giving to enhance their public image. This became clear when Jolie launched her thinly veiled broadside on Madonna over the adoption of baby David. Assuring the media that she was 'horrified" by the attacks on the singer, Jolie proceeded to dig the knife in. 'Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where [David] was born," she sniffed. 'In that country, there isn't really a legal framework for adopting. Personally, I prefer to stay on the side of the law." Of course, Madonna had in truth adopted the baby legally and had not flouted any of Malawi's laws, as Jolie implied. So why did she appear to undermine the humanitarian efforts of another celebrity? The answer is Trevor Neilson.

Pee-Wee Herman: ‘Taylor Lautner’s Playing [Me] In The Movie’
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Will a “Twilight Saga” star be stepping into Pee-Wee Herman’s white wingtips?
“Taylor Lautner’s playing Pee-Wee in the movie. That’s what I understand,” Paul Reubens, in character as Pee-Wee, joked to Access Hollywood on Monday.
The “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” star is making a comeback with a new stage show in Los Angeles, debuting at Club Nokia in January – and he added that a pair of movies are in the works.
“There’s going to be at least two new movies. Most people don’t know about it, yet, including all the studios,” he laughed with his trademark “ha-ha.” “I’m sure there will be in my lifetime.”
As for the reason to resurrect his famous character, Paul said he just felt Pee- Wee calling.
“I just got up one day and felt like I’m gonna come back, that was it,” Paul said. “I just felt like, ‘Not doing that much, might be fun to rehearse a show for weeks and weeks and weeks.’”
In the meantime, the funnyman has been involved in scientific pursuits.
“I’m involved a lot with the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, space exploration,” he said. “We just discovered water on the moon, I’m sure you’ve heard about that. In my spare time.”
Held at Tinseltown hotspot Voyeur, the party was held as a precursor to a Kenna-led climb up the world’s highest freestanding mountain, which sees celebrity participants including Isabel, Jessica Biel, Lupe Fiasco and Jimmy Chin.
Isabel states that she hopes her participation will help to “raise awareness of the global clean water crisis.”

The 33-year-old world Number One told wife Elin he "will do anything" after being linked with a string of women.
Elin, 29, has agreed to stay with the billionaire star for the sake of their two young children.
But she has given him the stark ultimatum: "It's golf... or me."
Leggy Swede Elin has drawn up a strict list of rules for Woods to follow if he wants to win her back.
And the beauty, who would pocket up to $100million if she walks away, is insisting he puts their marriage and two kids before his golf career.
A friend said: "The easy thing for Elin to do would be leave him, take the children and get a divorce. She'd never worry about money again.
"She was close to walking out for good. She decided to stay for the kids' sake - but on her terms.
"They have agreed to try and rebuild their marriage, but Elin will be the one calling the shots. It will be a long time before he's travelling the globe playing golf unless Elin's by his side.
"Tiger will have to work long and hard to ever get her to trust him again. Quitting golf shows he is willing to sacrifice something he loves so much to protect his family."
Last night it was understood Elin had refused to let Woods tour until he regained her trust - or until daughter Sam, two, and ten-month-old son Charlie were old enough to tag along with them.
Former swimwear model Elin had been ready to ditch Woods after he was linked with a string of other women.
At the last count, he was said to have had TEN flings, with his conquests including two porn stars, a restaurant waitress and a nightclub hostess.
And last night reports in America suggested Woods was terrified that he might have fathered a LOVECHILD with one of his alleged mistresses.
Some of the women have said he didn't use protection.
It was even claimed by one Las Vegas insider that Woods has paid off a pregnant mistress - and was desperate to seal the silence of one girl, 34-year-old New York nightclub worker Rachel Uchitel, because she "knows too much"
Meanwhile the billionaire golfer was urged to copy David Beckham to repair his public image.
British golf agent Andrew Chandler said the planet's richest sportsman should study how the England ace handled accusations that he cheated on wife Posh with personal assistant Rebecca Loos.He said: "Beckham had a very strong wife who stood by him. The circumstances with Tiger might be different, but I think he'll get his life back on track."

We called the "angels are the new vampires" trend months ago, and already the facts are stacking up to bolster our claims. Disney's purchase of Lauren Kate's tween againsty angel book Fallen adds fuel to the sexy angel fire.
THR reported that Disney has picked up the rights to the brand new YA series Fallen. The first book is already out and there are three more yet to come, all of which Disney now own.
The story is strikingly similar to Meyer's vamp series. A misunderstood girl meets a mysterious boy that she's strangely drawn to. What's his ace in the hole? Why he's a fallen angel, doncha know, hence the title. Plus there's another angel, also fallen, that she's also drawn to, and they fight over her, as men are wont to do. Sign me up. And while we're at it bring on Legion, Hush Hush and Going Bovine.

In a recent interview, Natalie told press that she took the “Black Swan” gig in an effort to explore a more adult acting genre.
“I’m trying to find roles that demand more adulthood from me because you can get stuck in a very awful cute cycle as a woman in film, especially being such a small person. I’m a really late bloomer. In my own life, it’s only been the last couple of years where I’m like, I’m an adult.”

Until 2004, Daisy was believed to be the daughter of Pearl's ex-husband Bronner Handwerger, but a paternity test revealed that her godfather, Gavin Rossdale, was in fact her biological father.
Pearl wrote about the situation in her book, All That Glitters, where she revealed that Daisy was the product of a one night stand between herself and Rossdale. Gwen Stefani was reportedly furious about the situation which was said to cause some difficulty in their marriage.
Until now, Gavin had reportedly severed all ties with the Lowes. It looks like the families are making amends over the holiday season!

"Chuck" already has a huge online fanbase. Now, NBC is hoping to harness the power of the nerd masses to help hype the show's return.
The network tonight is launching "Mission: Chuck Me Out." a social media-based game in which Chuckaholics can win prizes and other rewards by spreading the gospel according to Bartowski.
Using the already existing Chuckmeout.com site, fans can sign up their Twitter, Facebook and MySpace campaign for the game. Then, every time they preach "Chuck" or get friends to watch a clip of the show or otherwise pimp the series, they'll earn points.
Fans with the most point each week between now and March 8 will win "Chuck" gift packs which include goodies such as signed DVDs. The grand prize winner with the most points at the end of the game-- we're already betting Newark Star-Ledger TV critic Alan Sepinwall will be said superfan-- will have their photo featured during one of Mr. Bartowski's on-air memory "flashes."
"'The fans of 'Chuck' have been incredibly passionate and supportive of the show," said Adam Stotsky, president of NBC Entertainment marketing. "We want to reward this loyalty and activate further social conversation about the incredible new season."
"Chuck" has had a particularly strong relationship with its fan base.
When it seemed as if NBC might not bring the show back for a third season, the online Nerd Herd rallied to prove their economic power by organizing an effort to get fans to stop by Subway on the same day.
Subway saw a sales spike and ultimately signed on for a significant product integration deal credited with helping the Peacock opt to renew "Chuck."
Networks are increasingly turning to social media-based games to help promote their shows.
Over the summer, for example, Fox gave "Glee" diehards a chance to rack up points by singing the praises of the musical dramedy. And NBC helped pump "Community" by offering viewers a chance to watch the pilot earley by talking up the show to their online buddies.
"Chuck" returns with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, Jan. 10 and moves back to its 8 p.m. Monday slot Jan. 11.

'Toy Story 3' Photo Exclusive
It's been 10 long years since Woody, Buzz Lightyear and co.'s last big-screen adventure in the 1999 smash hit 'Toy Story 2,' but don't fret: They're set for more cinematic hijinks in next summer's 'Toy Story 3.' As you can see by the exclusive image above, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head and the rest of the gang look as good as ever despite the passage of a decade both in real and movie time.
Unfortunately for the toys, their owner, Andy, has changed; he's grown up and shoved off for college, leaving his once-beloved possessions packed away for storage in the attic. One thing leads to another, however, and the close-knit group of toy friends find themselves stranded at a day-care center, where they must survive mistreatment at the hands of careless children until Woody can find them a new home.
