latoya jackson is fearing for her life, y'all.

La Toya Jackson
is living on the edge - she feels someone is out to kill her.

The singer feels that her life is in danger because she knows loads of information on the death of her brother Michael Jackson.

Sources believe that La Toya thinks she has been targeted for death by the same people who killed Michael because he is worth more dead than alive.

“La Toya is convinced someone paid Michael’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, to kill him because they stood to gain up to $1 billion from his death,” a source said.

La Toya feels that she may be next without any problems. “La Toya has been telling pals she can name the mysterious people Michael’s doctor was working with when Michael died. She is convinced they killed her brother and wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to kill her as well.

“She says too many people have got too much to lose if the truth gets out. She fears for her life.”

And it’s not just herself she’s worried about - but the whole family. “She says her information is explosive and that Dr Murray did not act alone in Michael’s death,” said the insider. “She’s extra cautious now of the people she talks to and the places she goes.

The singer is also taking all precautions. “She only goes to crowded restaurants and refuses to go the supermarket when it’s dark outside.”

Back in September during an interview with Barbara Walters, she first told of her fear of Michael being murdered.

“When I found out he had actually passed, I said, ‘No. I wasn’t an accident. Michael was murdered’,” she said.

“I don’t think we’ll find a person as talented, a person who thought the way he thought… a person with the heart that Michael had,” she added. “People aren’t that way anymore. He was special. He wasn’t God, but he was certainly god-like. He was the closest thing to a god that I knew.”

Britney Settles with Treadmarked Papper

Team Britney Spears has reached a financial settlement with the paparazzo who accused the pop star of intentionally driving over his foot with her Mercedes back in 2007.

Rick Mendoza, who was working for TMZ at the time, had argued that Brit's people "should have known ... Britney was not in the mental, emotional and/or physical condition to operate the subject motor vehicle in a safe and reasonable manner."

The terms of the settlement were not released -- but Mendoza had originally demanded more than $200,000 in damages.

More casting news to report from the upcoming Facebook film entitled, The Social Network. The David Fincher production already features Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg, and Andrew Garfield as the main characters in the adaptation based on the book, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal. It appears that six more actors have joined the cast, and for the most part they’re all under 25.

In The Social Network, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield will play Facebook co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin, while Timberlake will star as Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster and the founding president of the site. Now, here’s the latest casting rundown:

My friend was on the set of this yesterday at Wheelock College in Boston. She said that Jesse Eisenberg was ridiculously nice and Andrew Garfield's head is too small for his body. She had an "I <3 ONTD" sign all ready to go and everything, but they shooed her away. :(

50 Cent still thinks he's relevant... LOL.

After years of delays, 50 Cent’s new album, Before I Self Destruct is finally set to see the light of day on Nov. 23 — the same day as new releases from Justin Timberlake and Rihanna hit stores, and just a day before drop dates from Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert.

But the New York rapper isn’t worried — mostly because he says he does not consider those pop stars his competition.

Patrick Bateman was based on Tom Cruise

Director Mary Harron discusses Bale's inspiration for Patrick Bateman in American Psycho in a new interview with Blackbook magazine.

How did you and Christian Bale develop his character in American Psycho?

It was definitely a process. We talked a lot, but he was in L.A. and I was in New York. We didn’t actually meet in person a lot, just talked on the phone. We talked about how Martian-like Patrick Bateman was, how he was looking at the world like somebody from another planet, watching what people did and trying to work out the right way to behave. And then one day he called me and he had been watching Tom Cruise on David Letterman, and he just had this very intense friendliness with nothing behind the eyes, and he was really taken with this energy.

Jimmy Mulville, the boss of independent production company Hat Trick, has revealed via Twitter that his company is working on piloting Have I Got News For You in America.

Unlike the UK where it is one of the most prevalent and popular forms of TV comedy, the panel show format is currently almost non-existant in the US. Topical satire on American TV is more commonly delivered in a scripted format via programmes like The Daily Show. Thus, it remains to be seen whether HIGNFY will work in the States. (IT WONT) It should be noted Hat Trick does have some experience of exporting formats - in the 1990s they exported Whose Line Is It Anyway?, which became a big hit for the ABC network.

Robbie sets another new world record

Comeback king Robbie Williams has set a new world record after playing his first full gig for three years.

The chart star returned to the stage with a sell-out show at the BBC Electric Proms at London's Roundhouse on Tuesday night.

The show was also being screened by more than 250 cinemas across 23 countries to set a new Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous cinematic screenings of a live concert.

Williams, who is at number two in the charts with latest single Bodies, was previewing tracks from forthcoming album Reality Killed the Video Star, as well as classic tracks, accompanied by a string section, horn section and a full band.

Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday said: "It's been a few years since we've seen Robbie in the record books, so it's great to see him back on stage and breaking records.

"Robbie's been a multiple Guinness World Record holder thanks to his phenomenal chart successes in the past, and I'm sure this new record for most simultaneous cinematic screenings of a live concert will be the first of many more to come."

Whitney Houston’s a Lesbian Says Bobby Brown

Jealous ho said what? Bobby Brown has used the old “the pen is mightier than the sword” routine to strike claims of ex wife’s bisexual tendencies. He wrote about his sham of a marriage to Whitney Houston in his new memoir “Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But…” Brown suggests that their nuptials were just a cover for Houston being a lesbian.

“Our marriage was doomed from the very beginning… I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children,” he writes.

“The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image . . . In Whitney’s situation, the only solution, was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not.”

Meh… I was hoping for more supportive evidence like Whitney likes to wear flannel and hit Home Depot or dress as an Asian drag queen and sings “I’m here, I’m queer, I’m Whitney Houston!”

Tune-in alert: 'Dollhouse' is touching (and delightfully twisted) in coming weeks

At this point, you may be thinking, "Ryan, shut up about 'Dollhouse' already. Write about 'Desperate Housewives' or 'CSI: Des Moines' or something."

Well, no such luck. I'm writing about "Dollhouse" again, even though I have a ton of work to do because I'm taking next week off. When the next two episodes of the Fox show landed on my doorstep Tuesday, I thought I might be able to watch them. But I was doubtful I'd have enough time to write about the episodes.

But I watched "Belonging" and "The Public Eye" Tuesday night and I just had to post a few thoughts about them (and I've tried to make what's below as spoiler-free as possible). The episodes are fantastic. They're up there with the best episodes "Dollhouse" has ever made.

Precious director's next gig: Miss Saigon?!

In what would be her first film producing project since leaving the CEO slot at United Artists in 2008, Paula Wagner is mobilizing a screen version of “Miss Saigon” as a directing vehicle for Lee Daniels.

Daniels, who has drawn festival acclaim for “Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire,” has alluded to the possibility in red carpet interviews, but his reps say it’s one of several possible next projects. And movie transfers of big musicals are tough to pull off.

Still, Wagner is moving quickly under her newly formed Chestnut Ridge Productions banner.

She will produce the film with Cameron Mackintosh, who produced the original Broadway musical.

A screenwriter is about to be set, and financing discussions are underway with an eye toward getting the film into production next year for 2011 release, sources said.

The movie will be faithful to Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil’s tale of the tragic love story of a Vietnamese bar girl and an American soldier before the fall of Saigon in 1975. “Miss Saigon,” which opened on the West End in 1989 and played on Broadway for nearly ten years, has been performed in 25 countries.

Wagner was Tom Cruise’s longtime CAA agent before becoming his partner in Cruise/Wagner Productions. After producing the “Mission: Impossible” trilogy and other films, they agreed to steer UA for ex-MGM topper Harry Sloan.

Wagner is separately developing a stage musical about the rise of hip-hop pioneers Run-DMC.

Three White Collar Reviews

From Variety
There's nothing new under the sun, but USA seems to get more mileage out of its retreads than most. Neatly in tune with the breezy charms of "Burn Notice," "White Collar" recycles the outlines of "It Takes a Thief," as a high-tech criminal/con artist grudgingly teams with the FBI investigator who put him away. Squabbling shotgun marriages have been a staple of TV, and the series gets nice chemistry initially out of Matt Bomer and "Carnivale's" Tim DeKay. USA's run of good fortune might run dry, but with "White Collar," the channel looks dressed for success.

Bottom Line: This sounds like the typical USA show. If you enjoy Psych, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight etc etc, you'll enjoy White Collar—which, speaking for myself, I do. And it'll give me something to watch now that Psych is on winter hiatus. :'(

Joseph Wiseman, Actor: 1918 – 2009

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

NEW YORK — Joseph Wiseman, an actor who played the sinister scientist and title character of Dr. No in the first James Bond feature film, has died. He was 91.

Wiseman, who had been in declining health, died Monday at his home in Manhattan, his daughter, Martha Graham Wiseman, told The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

A screen and stage actor, Wiseman's film credits include "Detective Story" (1951) and "The Unforgiven" (1960). He also had guest roles on television shows "Law & Order," "The Streets of San Francisco," "The Twilight Zone" and "The Untouchables," according to The New York Times.

He is likely best known, however, for his villainous role in "Dr. No," the first in a long string of James Bond movies. The 1962 film introduced Sean Connery as James Bond and also starred Ursula Andress.

Wiseman was born in Montreal on May 15, 1918. He moved to the United States with his family when he was a boy.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Wiseman started acting when he was a teenager, getting his start in summer stock.

In 1938, he was given a small part in his first Broadway play, Robert E. Sherwood's "Abe Lincoln in Illinois."

Wiseman's other Broadway credits include "Joan of Lorraine" (1946), "Antony and Cleopatra" (1947), "Detective Story" (1949); and most recently in the stage adaptation of Abby Mann's film "Judgment at Nuremberg" (2001).

"Stage acting was what he wanted to be remembered for," Wiseman's daughter told the Los Angeles newspaper.

TV Ratings Tuesday: CBS Wins; Biggest Loser & Shark Tank Hit Highs

The NCIS, NCIS:LA siblings were both up on Tuesday and lead CBS to the overall ratings victory for the night. The finale of Shark Tank went out with a series high, and Biggest Loser won the 9pm hour with a series high rating.

ABC, NBC and CBS were all up overall vs. last Tuesday night. All three generated ratings gains in their 8-10pm hours, but fell in their final hour (except for NBC which was flat at 10pm).

Fox’s ALCS Game 4 between the Yankees and Angels averaged a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating during primetime, that’s up 24% from the comparable NLCS Game 4 last year (10/13/08) between the Dodgers and Phillies which averaged a 2.5 rating during its entire length.

Rosie Confirms Kelli and Her Are Having Issues =/

Rosie O'Donnell has confirmed to Lifeline Live that she and partner Kelli Carpenter, 42, are on the rocks.

In an interview at her Nyack, N.Y., compound Tuesday, USA TODAY's Ann Oldenburg asked if the two had split -- she has been hinting at it in her blog -- and O'Donnell didn't deny it, saying, "We're a family. We will remain a family forever. And we are working on our issues."

O'Donnell, 47, wouldn't go into detail about whether Carpenter had moved out of their Nyack home and into Manhattan, as the National Enquirer reported in August. (She was not around during the interview.)

"We're a family, we remain a family and we're working on the issues," O'Donnell reiterated, noting that there are four children whose well-being comes before anything.  The couple married in San Francisco in 2004 and have three adopted children -- Parker, 14, Chelsea, 12 and Blake, 9, as well as Vivienne ("Vivi"), 6, whom Carpenter carried.

"They're adorable and wonderful and they are by far a priority," O'Donnell said. "Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties," she said, tears collecting in her eyes. "But everything's fine and everybody's good and we're still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we're friendly and everything's all right."

I don't like any of this one single bit. I hope Ro and Kel work things out and are able to stay together.

My post from last night about Kelli having a Facebook Rosie didn't know about.

'Glee,' A Show About Live Singing, Really Needs More Live Singing

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Seven episodes in, there has been a fair bit of grumbling that Glee, Fox's crazypants series about a misfit high school vocal ensemble, has gone off the rails. Perhaps that's why it was so delightful last week when the group, mingling again after having been split in two in a faculty power struggle, eased into a casual singalong of Nelly's "Ride Wit Me."

Part of it was that it showed the kids relaxed and having fun, rather than struggling with pregnancy, coming out, crippling self-doubt, crippling self-aggrandizement, etc. But part of it was that, for the first time in a long time, it sounded like they were singing.

TR Knight and his baby bf split

Former "Grey's Anatomy" star T.R. Knight has split from his boyfriend of almost two years. The 36-year-old actor is blaming his hectic schedule for the unfortunate breakup from Mark Cornelsen.

A close friend of the actor revealed the news to In Touch Weekly, saying his relationship with Cornelsen came to a "natural end" and there are no hard feelings.

The source added that the two still care about each other and although 36-year-old Knight asked his 20-year-old ex to move out of their shared apartment, it doesn't mean he has given up hope for a family in the future.

Knight is currently focusing on his role in the musical "Parade" at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. He will play Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager accused of raping and murdering a thirteen-year-old employee.

The musical opens on October 24, but started the previews September 24.

What makes a movie villain great?

While watching Michael Mann's Heat, I discovered the "cup of coffee test" for screen villains. I found myself thinking again of that great scene in which the cop (Al Pacino) and the villain (Robert De Niro) sat down to share a cup of coffee. It was a simple gesture, with no chasing or guns or shooting. Just talking. But it demonstrated on a thematic and visual level that this hero and this villain were actually very close to one another. They were very similar people, with similar natures.

I started applying this test to almost every movie. Collapse )

Celebrities Spawn Copycat Suicides, Study Confirms

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Results of a new study from Queen Mary, University of London, warn against glamorizing celebrity suicides in the media.

Dr Alex Mesoudi, from Queen Mary's newly established Research Centre for Psychology, has found evidence that the increasing reach and influence of the media, combined with a growing number of people assigned celebrity status, could increase the probability of widespread suicide pandemics. The study is published in the peer reviewed journal PLoS ONE.

Copycat suicides occur when one person's suicide is at least partly caused by exposure to another person's suicide. Sociologists have proposed that clusters of suicides around the same time or geographical area may be caused by this copycat effect.

Quentin Tarantino's Love Letter for 'Bright Star' Uncovered by Moviefone

Quentin Tarantino isn't exactly the touchy, feely type. And he's not usually one for period pieces -- especially of the corset-ripping romantic variety -- unless they involve a badass brigade of Jewish soldiers scalping Nazis, of course. After all, he's the brilliant, twisted mind behind such blood-soaked, expletive-laden, corset-free masterpieces as 'Reservoir Dogs,' 'Pulp Fiction,' 'Kill Bill' and 'Inglourious Basterds.' That's what makes this bit of news so, for lack of a better word, awesome.

Moviefone exclusively has obtained the text of a handwritten note from Tarantino to filmmaker Jane Campion -- a "Dear Jane" letter, one might say -- passionately scrawled in red ink and expressing in superlatives his unbridled love for Campion's latest film, the romantic period piece 'Bright Star.' In theaters now, 'Bright Star' features Ben Whishaw as Romantic poet John Keats and Abbie Cornish (in a turn that's generating Oscar buzz) as Fanny Brawne, the free-spirited, fashion-forward younger woman who tamed Keats' heart and inspired his most renowned poem.

"My favorite film of yours," Tarantino writes. "I don't like period pieces like that. I loved this!!! Never has heartache been so realistically and movingly portrayed as Abbie taking to her bed ... The lovers kisses ... Abbie and Ben ... touching ... Brilliant. I loved it!!!" The note is signed, "Love - Your fan - Quentin Tarantino."

Sounds like Q.T. is more of a softie than we thought.

Jackson's Will -- Randy Says Not MJ's Signature

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Randy Jackson claims Michael Jackson could not have signed his 2002 will, because he was 2,475 air miles away from the place the document was supposedly inked.

According to the will, it was signed on July 7, 2002 at 5:00 PM in Los Angeles. Randy Jackson tells TMZ he has proof MJ was in New York from July 5 through July 9
, on a campaign against Sony honcho Tommy Mottola, claiming Mottola had a thing against Black artists.

The lawyer for the estate, Howard Weitzman, tells TMZ the witnesses to the will were face-to-face with Jackson when he signed the document. Weitzman would not say if the will was signed in L.A., even though the document refers to Los Angeles.

UPDATE: TMZ spoke with Al Sharpton's rep, Rachel Noerdlinger, who confirms Sharpton and Jackson were protesting Mottola in NY together in 2002 on July 6th and July 9th.

As the for the key date -- July 7th -- Sharpton's rep released the following curious statement:

We have reason to believe that Michael may have been in NY on the 7th and Rev. Sharpton will address this after he discusses it with the Jackson family.

I'd like Randy to stop running his mouth.

Reports that MTV Hills star Lauren "Lo" Bosworth will be headlining the movie adaptation of Lauren Conrad's best-selling novel L.A. Candy couldn't be any further from reality.

"I jokingly said, 'Oh, Lo is going to star in it,'" Conrad, 23, told Usmagazine.com Tuesday at Lucky magazine and Madewell's Fall 2009 Denim Tour in Hollywood. "People reported that Lo was going to star in the movie, and I was totally kidding!"

She told Us she is "excited" to be an executive producer. "It's my new hat," she said. "I like hats, and I get to wear lots of them!"

She said she never intended for her book to hit the big screen.

"I was just hoping that the book did well," she said. "It's a little surreal, but it's cool!"

Life off The Hills "is nice,"
she said. "I'm a different kind of busy. I have more stress and deadlines at work than I do in my personal life."

At work on her third book, she said she hasn't had time to watch the current season of The Hills with Kristin Cavallari.

"I barely watched it when I was on it. I have commitment issues with shows," she said.

Conrad - who is dating My Boys actor Kyle Howard - added that she'll never star in another show about her personal life.

"I closed that door," she said. "We have been talking about some different stuff that's more fashion-related, so we'll see."

As for Stephanie Pratt (who was busted for DUI Oct. 18)?

"I just sent her well wishes," Conrad told Us. "She is doing fine."

Pete from Smallville gets arrested

'Smallville' star Sam Jones was arrested Wednesday morning after cops say he was part of a conspiracy to deal more than 10,000 pills of oxycodone, TMZ reports. Jones has been charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and if convicted faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

DEA agents who claim Jones was a "co-conspirator" in a series of major drug deals in 2008 took him into custody on Wednesday morning. Jones is due in federal court in L.A. on October 21.

Jones played Clark Kent's best friend on the show 'Smallville.'

Silversun Pickups Do Their Best Gollum Impression (New Interview!)

Well, the Voodoo Experience Music Festival seems to be right around the corner, and the Silversun Pickups are one the most highly anticipated acts to be seen there, on opening night (Oct. 30). They recently came through Toronto, so of course we took the opportunity to catch up with Brian Aubert (lead vocals, guitar) and Nikki Monninger (bass, vocals).

It's been a somewhat surreal experience for the band, but all in good manner. Video speaks for itself in this case. Hear and see it straight from the source. - The Waster

Commentary: My favorite part is when Brian (the singer) does his Gollum impression lol! Plus, there's some killer live footage of the band. I love their video for "Substitution"...can't wait to see them next time they come to SF!

P.S. Eagles of Death Metal, The Antlers, Amazing Baby, Peter, Bjorn and John...more awesome band profile videos by The Waster can be found here. Showin em some luvvv! :)

jon gosselin thinks people will pay to hear him speak

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
What Jon Gosselin wants: $10,000 to $12,000 for a radio appearance.

What he doesn't want: Octomom Nadya Suleman.

Reps for the reality dad, 32, demanded "10-12K" to guest-host the MJ Morning Show, a radio show based in Tampa, Fl., TMZ reports.

Why such a hefty fee? The rep explained that Gosselin is "quite funny, sharp witted and interesting" and his appearance would be a "high point for the show." The station had already offered two first-class plane tickets and hotel room plus limo service for their would-be guest star, and turned down Gosselin's five-figure request.

Meanwhile, the father of eight is drawing the line when it comes to his love life. After Nadya Suleman, 34, revealed her crush on Gosselin to RadarOnline ("I think he's hot!" she chirped) Monday, Gosselin didn't respond in kind.
Gosselin is currently involved with Hailey Glassman, 22.

has he ever been sharp witted or funny on the show? ever?

Lauren Conrad gets the last laugh as MTV viewers head for the Hills

Collapse )

Judging by recent ratings of MTV’s reality show “The Hills,” Lauren Conrad is getting the last laugh.

Conrad, who had been the focus of the series since its debut in 2006, apparently took a good chunk of its audience with her when she left the show earlier this year.

Her replacement as star of “The Hills,” Kristin Cavallari, who constantly bested Conrad when both of them were high-school romantic rivals on MTV’s “Laguna Beach,” isn’t the ratings draw MTV hoped she would be.

Eliza Dushku recently starred in Bethesda and A2M's "WET," an action game with '70s, Tarantino-esque style. Dushku played Rubi, a no-nonsense gun for hire who runs afoul of some pretty unsavory characters. Given its movie-inspired roots, seems like it'd be a perfect fit for a big screen flick. Check out the video of Dushku talking with MTV News regarding the role and her thoughts on maybe doing a movie based on "WET."

"This video game 'Wet' I just did, she's got a working class Lara Croft thing going on, and she's pretty kick ass. She travels the globe, she's in Hong Kong and she's in the UK and she's a gun for hire and she's got two samurai swords. She's pretty vicious. So that's been something that maybe could turn into a live-action Dushku vehicle."

Sounds like it's something she's definitely into doing. And hey, we'd have no problem with it either!

We've been through this already, but it bears repeating because it keeps happening: In 2009 Iggy Pop somehow became the king of oddball duets (often with younger ladies). He's also the best part of this campy video for Jemina Pearl's Break It Up lead "I Hate People" even though he doesn't physically show up for the shoot. The clip -- situated in a very hip diner employing both a nervous, bespeckled Thurston Moore and a burnt-out Pearl -- follows a she-works-hard-for-the-money storyline to its conclusion. Jemina can take it from there.

Kanye West Not Dead

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It'll take more than a death hoax to keep Kanye West out of the news.

False reports hit the Internet late last night that the rapper died in a "bizarre car crash in Los Angeles involving two luxury cars." While the tall tale never made its way to credibly news sources, it spread like wildfire on Facebook and Twitter, where "RIP Kanye West" became the No. 1 trending topic.

Thankfully, the star's girlfriend, Amber Rose, put the rumor to rest.

"This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much," she tweeted. "Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It's totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. U wouldn't want someone to say that about u Or someone u love it's not funny. #LongLiveYeezy!!!!!"

Of course, the main reason this story has become so popular so fast is likely thanks to Taylor Swift. People by the thousands are retweeting versions of "Whoever started the RIP Kanye West hoax, I'm happy for u and Imma let you finish…but Balloon Boy had the best hoax of all time!"

Aw, snap!

The Top 10 Women with More Boobs than talent

"Big breasts are a staple of the entertainment industry and will win out over talent every time. Whether they're real or fake, it seems the bigger the breasts a woman has, the less talent she'll need to have a career and a place in the spotlight."

10. Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson definitely has a set of lungs on her and can belt out quite a tune. Sadly, these days Ms. Simpson is better known for her MTV reality show Newlyweds (which was on years ago) and her subsequent shambolic love life. No one pays attention to Ms. Simpson’s music anymore. Her last couple albums have bombed, her acting career never took off, and her recent switch to country music was not well received.

But the one constant through this entire period have been her ample bosoms. Like her career, Jessica’s breasts have experienced their ups and downs – usually as a result of Jessica’s fluctuating weight. In fact it seems Jessica’s breasts have gotten larger as her talent and place in the spotlight has dwindled.

Juggalos Try To Clean Up Their Bad Reputation

Jessey Sanders and friends were hoping to clean up two things Tuesday afternoon: graffiti-stained walls, and their reputations.

“All I’ve wanted to do, for the longest time, is just clear our name,” Sanders said.

Shortly after 1 p.m., after a brief rainfall threatened to put a hold on their plans, Sanders, 24, and about eight others gathered at Haymore Plaza on Fry Boulevard to repaint outer walls of a couple businesses that had been tagged with gang graffiti.

For Sanders and his friends, this was a chance to get out into the community and disspell a number of false notions about juggalos like them.

The term juggalo is used to refer to anyone who embraces the music of the Insane Clown Posse, a rap duo. In recent years, reports of criminal activity in areas perpetrated by people identifying themselves as juggalos has created a stigma, Sanders said.

“There are bad juggalos out there, people that make us look like gang members,” he said.

“We may look different,” said Sanders, who sports arm-length tattoos feature various Insane Clown Posse imagery, as well as a tattoo on his face, “but we’re just not afraid to hide our personality, or be who we are.”

Bryan Pierce, 19, said many people assume the worst when they see a juggalo.

You really can’t judge a book by its cover, and that’s really what a lot of people are doing,” Pierce said. “We’re just people. We don’t like to be looked down upon as bad people, or as a gang, just because of the way we look.”

Though some of Sanders’ friends say they have experienced incidents of being approached by law enforcement for their appearance, most say that local law enforcement has treated them with respect.

“I’ve been stopped a couple times and talked to by a few officers before,” said Kyle Bartes, 24, “and they’ve never cared or said anything” about his appearance.
Juggalos are technically considered a gang in Arizona, but most of those who identify themselves as such are not involved in any illegal activity, Sierra Vista Detective Jeremy Wolfe said.

“The majority of these guys are just followers of the band. If someone came into Sierra Vista, or any town, and said they were a Crip or a Blood, they’re telling you that they are a gang member,” Wolfe said. Juggalos are simply identifying themselves as fans of a musical group.

“We’re more of a family,” said Bartes.

Sanders agreed, saying “These guys are all really good friends of mine. We consider each other the same as brothers.”

Paparazzi Are Scum, Sky Is Blue, Pope Is Catholic

Jackson Kids Involved in Car Accident

TMZ has learned Michael Jackson's kids were involved in a car accident moments ago in Sherman Oaks.

We're told a paparazzo -- not ours -- was following the Jackson car when the pap's gold Yukon rear-ended the Jackson car near the off-ramp of the 101 Freeway near Katherine Jackson's Encino home. Our sources say the accident wasn't severe and the kids are okay.

Story developing ...

UPDATE 5:15 PM PT: Joe Jackson tells us he spoke with Katherine and the kids are fine.

UPDATE 5:30 PM PT: Witnesses tell TMZ the driver who struck the Jackson car fled the scene after impact. In California, leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging information is a crime. The D.A. could file a felony hit-and-run charge if the evidence is there.

UPDATE 5:45 PM PT: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the car that was hit was a Jackson security car, which was following the car carrying the Jackson kids. The kids were NOT in the car that was struck by the paparazzo.

Cops also tell us a hit-and-run report was taken on the scene around 2:20 PM near the crash site in Sherman Oaks -- just a few miles from the Jackson home in Encino.

UPDATE 6:00 PM PT: Sources close to the Jackson family tell us Grace Rwaramba -- the kids' nanny -- was driving the car with the kids inside. We're told the Jackson caravan was on the way to karate class, but the paparazzi gave chase ... and that's when one papper allegedly smashed into the back of the Jackson Escalade that wasn't carrying the kids.

So apparently Idina Menzel eats her own placenta...

Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel used a doula for the birth of their son Walker Nathaniel.

Once their son was safely delivered and dad had cut the cord, the couple’s attention was redirected toward baby boy’s placenta — the doula inquired as to whether the new parents planned on taking advantage of what it had to offer.

“She asked us if we wanted the placenta afterwards, because there are crazy nutrients,” Taye recalls. “During one of the classes, very casually, she said, ‘We can make the placenta into tablets you can take each day.’ And I look at my wife, ‘Are you crazy?’”

For Idina — who showed interest in the pills and had them made — the unique opportunity was no laughing matter, leaving Taye to ponder the placenta’s final fate.

“My wife was serious, she wanted to be prepared on every front. I’ve been afraid to ask her [if she's been taking them].”

So ONTD Poll Time -- Would to eat your own placenta... bit by bit? I get it is suppose to help prevent PPD and all that jazz, but it just seems nasty.

Fever Ray “Stranger Than Kindness” Video

This cover of Nick Cave and Anita Lane’s 1986 song about hotel sex with strangers (at least that’s what I think it’s about) will appear on a three-disc deluxe edition of Fever Ray’s eponymous debut, out November 24 on Mute. If three discs sounds a bit much for a band just starting out, consider that Fever Ray’s Karin Dreijer Andersson is still probably best known as one half of Sweden’s The Knife, which put out Pitchfork’s favorite album of 2006. She’s known for her ghoulish stage antics—goblin masks, face paint, fake blood—as much as she is for her erotic and macabre music.

So it should come as no surprise that Fever Ray’s music videos are spooky as hell, too. The video for “Stranger than Kindness”—which happens to be directed by Andreas Nilsson, the mastermind behind the Knife and Fever Ray live shows—is inhabited by the same ashen bird masks, lasers, and dim, flickering lamps as her live show. But it doesn’t take place in your local PBR-soaked venue. Instead, Nilsson leads us through a dark, windswept field populated by unidentifiable creatures, then into an abandoned house filled with lamps, a face-painted Andersson, and costumed strangers lurking in the shadows.

Welcome the Newest Member of "The Shit List": Bernard Hopkins

Bernard Hopkins becomes the latest boxer to obsess over "no homo". The former middleweight world champion lashed out against mixed martial arts and the very popular Ultimate Fighting Championships, slamming the admittedly homoerotic sport as gay "pornos" and criticizing fighters for their square cut shorts.

Hopkins says: "I don’t want to watch two grown men wrestling with panties on. I’m from the hood, we don’t play that. To me, I’m not buying a ticket to watch two grown men with panties on, sweating, [with] nuts in their face. That’s not me. To compare that to boxing is ludicrous. It’s a porno."

'Cuz of course there is nothing homoerotic about two guys stripping to their underwear, staring nose to nose, then hugging and sweating for 12 rounds. If you say so, hon.

Glee gets revenge on NBC

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"Glee" cast members were invited to perform at the Human Rights Campaign dinner attended by President Obama, and they'll get to perform the national anthem at Game 3 of the World Series (because "Glee" and the World Series both air on Fox -- but still, it's a pretty big deal). And show creator Ryan Murphy is fawned over regularly by publications such as Entertainment Weekly where he will soon be quoted calling the show a cultural phenomenon.

And yet, Murphy is not happy. He's still brooding over NBC's decision not to promote a broadcast competitor's new series (which, if it's a cultural phenomenon, would seem to hardly need NBC's help, right?) by allowing the "Glee" cast to perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade -- the broadcast right to which NBC shells out millions of dollars annually.

So Murphy is creating an episode of "Glee" in which the glee club is denied a spring festival float by their No. 1 enemy, cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester.

This, according to The "Glee" Fan Club at Entertainment Weekly.

Rihanna May Have Released 'Russian Roulette' For 'Shock Value,' Producer Says

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Rihanna may be playing a dangerous game on her first single, "Russian Roulette," but the man who produced the eerie ballad, Chuck Harmony, explains that when he and songwriter Ne-Yo sat down to
conceptualize the feel of the track they wanted to take Rihanna's musical vibe to a new level. They didn't want to rehash what fans expect of the singer.

"We wanted to give her a movie. We didn't want to just give her a three-minute song," Harmony told MTV News. "I felt musically like everybody was gonna give like that 'Disturbia,' 'SOS,' kind of pop, uptempo stuff, and I really wanted the song that me and Ne-Yo did to stand out."

Ne-Yo co-wrote the track with Rihanna, but when he sat down with Harmony, the producer said the two guys knew that the song should be "something a little darker, something a little edgier, something a little more morbid. Just to try it out."

They recorded the track over the summer, and when it came down to picking a single for Rated R, out on November 23, it was an easy choice not only for the label but also for the singer.

"Rihanna phoned in to Ne-Yo to tell him that it was one of her favorites," Harmony explained. "I think overall she was comfortable with the vibe of the song and comfortable with the lyrical content of the song. She loves the song."

While he didn't go into details about what he thinks the song might be about, he did say that no matter what song Rihanna released as her comeback single people would immediately think it was about Chris Brown.

"Because that's the newest situation," Harmony explained. "Whatever she came with, if she came out with 'I still love you' that would have been about Chris Brown. If she came out with 'I hate your dog' that would have been about Chris Brown, too. It's just a natural reaction for people to associate 'cause she's been so tight-lipped."

Harmony is aware that the reaction has been mixed from fans who've heard the track. But he thinks singles should be about showing artistic growth, not feeding people the music that they expect.

"As a producer, I feel that's what's wrong with the music business, their first singles don't shock people," he said. "You're in a whole other space in life, so your first single should reflect that growth or that setback. I think with 'Russian Roulette' she's digging much deeper into her emotions. I knew she was going to another place an artist.

"If I had to speculate, I would speculate that [she released it] for shock value,"
he continued. "'Russian Roulette' is the kind of song that when you hear it you're gonna talk about it — whether you like it, you talk about it. It's so unexpected, from the tempo to the title to the feel."

Oh Shit Our Fav Artists Are Brainwashing Us, Y'all

Along with her new album, Beyonce has presented her fans to a new alter-ego named Sasha Fierce. The singer affirms that this new persona is the fun, more sexual and more aggressive side of her. This is however the “general public” version of the story. The esoteric meaning revealed by the symbols surrounding this new persona is much deeper: Sasha Fierce is a symbolic representation of an artist taken over by evil to obtain success.

weezy is going to jail

Lil Wayne will be forced to plead out to a jail term in New York City on Thursday, according to sources with AllHipHop.com.

The rapper is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York.
The 27-year-old now faces 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.

"Wayne is going to plead guilty," a source close to the case told AllHipHop.com, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. "The date is coming up and he's going to do it tomorrow."

Wayne is rumored to be willing to accept the deal to avoid a long term in jail over the gun. The same source said the term will begin in February of 2010 under the terms of the deal. "If he doesn't plead, he goes to jail for a long time," the source said.

"They told him that if he doesn't plead tomorrow, it will go to trial and then he faces a far longer jail term," the source continued.

A small amount of DNA may have changed the landscape of the case, according to a report by the Associated Press. There is a "minuscule" amount of the rapper's DNA on the gun, reports say, and that has strengthened the case for the prosecution.
Another hearing is set to resume tomorrow, where the rapper will reportedly announce his next move.

AllHipHop.com was unable to obtain comment from representatives for Wayne at press time and the rapper didn't speak to the media at a court date earlier today.

Lil' Wayne has another trial looming in March over felony drug and weapons charges from a January 2008 police raid.

Heather Graham is perfect, supports the public option

In a new frontier of the public option debate, progressives are getting a hand from movie star Heather Graham to pitch the much-discussed health care reform provision.

The actress is starring in a new television ad put out by the progressive advocacy organization, MoveOn.org, in what the group is calling a broader, week-long effort to target insurance companies.

Obtained exclusively by the Huffington Post, the spot casts Graham as a "public option" sprinter in race against "bloated" private insurers from CIGNA, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health and Humana.

I love this woman and I love how every once in a while she does something to show that she has some intelligence amidst all the batshit crazy. And for everyone who doesn't know, the public option would mean that people who didn't have health insurance could buy it from the government. So naturally the insurance companies are working to kill it as hard as possible.

Mistrial in Travolta Extortion Case

Mistrial in Travolta Extortion Case

The judge in the John Travolta extortion case has declared a mistrial, reportedly because of jury misconduct.

Justice Anita Allen released the jury and declared a mistrial after learning that a member of Parliament announced at a political convention that defendant Pleasant Bridgewater -- a former Senator -- had been acquitted by the jury.

It's unclear if jurors had actually reached a verdict. There's an unconfirmed report that one of the jurors may have communicated information to the Parliament member who spoke out.

No word on whether the jury may have reached a verdict on Tarino Lightbourne.

CW Orders Full Season of Vampire Diaries, Five More Melrose Place Eps

Score one for the vampire people! (And the incredibly good-looking West Hollywood-living people?)

CW just picked up a full season of the breakout freshman hit The Vampire Diaries, and the network has also ordered five more episodes of Melrose Place.

Why did Vampire Diaries get a full season while Melrose Place didn't? Here's what we're hearing...

Diaries has been an unqualified hit for the CW—it's easily the network's top show. Melrose's ratings, meanwhile, are just marginally ahead of already canceled The Beautiful Life. In fact, a repeat of the canceled CW series The Game that aired on BET the other night beat out an original episode of Melrose Place. Sad but true.

So why keep Melrose on at all? Well, Melrose comes with endless publicity in the form of returning original MP stars like, oh, Heather Locklear, and insiders remain enthusiastic about the production quality and big upcoming storylines like a major character death and backstory reveals for fan faves like Katie Cassidy's Ella.

Sorry guys but I doubt Melrose Place is going to have a second season. RIP.

Shanae, Katie and Jenna are ~Elle Women in Hollywood~

Shenae Grimes shows off her wild side in a pair of leopard print booties as she poses with fellow actresses Katie Cassidy and Jenna Dewan at the Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute in Beverly Hills on Monday (October 19).

Although things have gotten juicy on 90210 this season for 19-year-old Shenae, who paired an American Apparel black with tights and Brian Atwood booties, she may not be the only one dealing with drama on screen.

Jenna, who appeared on her first Melrose Place episode with Katie on Tuesday, told E! that she would love to duke it out with her on screen.

“I would love to have a bitchfest with Katie Cassidy [Ella],” Jenna said. “I’ve known Katie for years, so we would have really good chemistry.”

Validity of DNA test argued in Lil Wayne gun case.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Lil Wayne's gun possession case is putting a leading edge of DNA science under a microscope.

As the Grammy-winning rapper sat in a Manhattan court on Wednesday, a hearing began on a debated, highly sensitive DNA profiling technique used to tie him to a gun found on his tour bus in 2007.

Proponents see the process, sometimes called low copy number DNA profiling, as a powerful tool for closing cases by identifying people from the DNA in just a handful of cells. Skeptics question its reliability.

For Lil Wayne, it could be a crucial piece of a case that carries a minimum 3 1/2-year prison term if he's convicted. He has pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges. The hearing on the scientific status of the DNA technique is expected to extend for days; his trial is due to start Jan. 20.

Prosecutors say small amounts of DNA found on the loaded weapon connect it to the platinum-selling artist. Defense lawyer Stacey Richman says the gun wasn't Lil Wayne's, and the testing technique is too problematic to prove otherwise.

The dreadlocked rapper at times watched attentively through black-rimmed eyeglasses Wednesday as the hearing drilled down on forensic science that operates on a trillionth-of-a-gram scale.

Monty Python celebrates 40 years of silliness
By Doug Ganley

NEW YORK (CNN) -- It's been a Monty Python world lately -- and we're not even talking about the absurdity and silliness of current events, such as balloon boys and confessional celebrities.
Surviving Pythons Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam and Eric Idle attend IFC event.

No, it's a Python world on TV, with the lads being showcased in a multipart IFC documentary -- which started this week -- and re-airing of their classic TV episodes and movies.

Last week, the paparazzi were out in New York to see the group, a bunch of self-confessed silly old men.

The five surviving members of Monty Python made a rare joint appearance at the premiere of the IFC documentary series, "Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer's Cut)."

Amy Winehouse's dad says junkies should get free heroin

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Singer Amy Winehouse's dad yesterday warned MPs that alcohol is leading people on to heroin and cocaine. Mitch Winehouse, whose daughter has a history of drug and booze problems, said most addicts started out by abusing alcohol. He added: "They go hand-in-hand. In most cases the addict was a heavy drinker beforehand and it led through to the heavy drugs."

The former cabbie, appearing before the Home Affairs Select Committee, said he supported calls for addicts to be given free heroin on the NHS.

He said it would enable their drug use to be monitored and would stop them turning to crime to fund their addiction.

He said: "Our communities are safer, they suffer less. We are not being vandalised, robbed or burgled." Mitch said his 26-year-old daughter has been sober for a year. He added: "She's just somebody who's been very ill."

Alcohol watchdog Balance yesterday claimed some parents are buying their children booze then driving them to a park to drink with friends - just so they can have a quiet night in. <~ LMAO what kind of foolish motherfuck??

We assume she wasn't on the phone with Maria Shriver, who surely would have told Brandy about the consequences of driving while talking on a handheld.

I love Brandy, but she is a mess lately. I would never let her drive me anywhere. Why do my favorite celebrities have problems driving? :(

btw everyone, Brandy did not CAUSE the accident, as TMZ would have you believe. She was INVOLVED in the accident.

Lindsay Lohan to dad Michael Lohan: Stop lying and 'try to be a real father'

Lindsay Lohan's had it with her daddy dearest.

Hot on the heels of Michael Lohan announcing plans to seek a conservatorship over his famous daughter to protect her from her damaging behavior, LiLo is finally speaking out.

"I'm so hurt that someone who calls himself my father needs to use the press to communicate with me,"
the actress told Usmagazine.com.

Just when a Los Angeles Superior Court judge spared Lindsay jail time by extending her probation from a 2007 DUI arrest, Michael Lohan appeared on "The Maury Povich Show" Friday to reveal her addiction to prescription pills.

"There's nothing left of her," he said. "I was out in L.A. with her about three weeks ago when she got robbed. She called me up at 3:30 a.m. and said, 'Daddy, come out here.' I flew out and couldn't even look at her. I had to go outside and cry. When I hugged her, it's just a hollow, hollow person."

The 23-year-old starlet claims she has severed all ties with her dad since the August burglary.

"I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months," she said. "It's so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies. He should instead try to be a real father."
