Michelle Phillips, the ex-wife of the late John Phillips, says her stepdaughter Mackenzie Phillips is lying about having an incestuous affair with her father.
I spoke to Michelle this morning by phone; she has not read Mackenzie’s book, published today, called “High on Arrival.” Michelle Phillips says that in 1997, Mackenzie told everyone in their extended family that she and her father, Michelle’s famous former husband, had had a sexual relationship.
“She told me, then she called me back and said, ‘You know I’m joking,’ ” Michelle told me. “I said it wasn’t funny. Mackenzie said, ‘I guess we have different senses of humor.’ ”
Michelle and John Phillips were the foundation of the great ’60s singing group the Mamas and the Papas, along with Cass Elliott and Denny Doherty. Their repertoire of sunny hits included “Calfornia Dreamin’,” “Monday Monday,” and “I Saw Her Again Last Night.” Mackenzie and her brother were born before the group formed, and before Michelle and John were married. Their brief marriage ended in 1968, with Michelle — a beauty — going on to several well-publicized romances and a successful acting career. John’s career, however, had no traction after the Mamas and the Papas, and his life devolved into a drug-fueled catastrophe.
Mackenzie alleges in her book that she and John had sex for the first time when she was 19, on the eve of her own first marriage. Four years later, she writes, they had a full-blown affair.
Mackenzie writes: “My father abused me but he wasn’t a monster. He was a tortured man who led a tortured existence.” She adds that she waited until now to admit this because she didn’t want to wreck his legacy.
Michelle Phillips responded, when I read her that: “She’s really protecting his legacy now, isn’t she?”
It’s not like Michelle Phillips hasn’t been critical of John in the past. She told me: “John was a bad parent, and a drug addict. But [expletive deleted] his daughter? If she thinks it’s true, why isn’t she with a good psychiatrist on a couch? I think it’s unconscionable that Oprah would let her do her show. I have every reason to believe it’s untrue. Oprah should be more judicious about who she has on her show.”
Michelle added: “Mackenzie has a lot of mental illness. She’s had a needle stuck up her arm for 35 years. She was arrested for heroin and coke just recently. She did ‘Celebrity Rehab’ and now she writes a book. The whole thing is timed.” Michelle said it’s particularly ironic since her own daughter, Chynna, of Wilson Phillips fame, Mackenzie’s half sister, is releasing a new album this week.
“Mackenzie is jealous of her siblings, who have accomplished a lot and did not become drug addicts.”
Demand among male shoppers for pantyhose has apparently been soaring over the past five years.
Selfridges in London has now responded with a range designed exclusively for guysized legs.
The tights, dubbed mantyhose, are made by lingerie brand Unconditional and are a tough 120 denier thickness.
They come in black, beige and charcoal - but unfortunately not green, a la Errol Flynn - and will cost £70 ($150 USD).
David Walker-Smith, Selfridges' director of menswear and beauty, added: 'This winter the city's most stylish men will have a secret weapon hidden in their trousers.
'The "mantyhose" are extremely versatile and we expect men to be wearing them not only as a way to as a way to give legs an extra boost of warmth on the chilliest nights, but as a true style statement.'
Screen Gems has set Stanley Tucci to star alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera in "Burlesque," the musical to be directed by Steve Antin.
Antin wrote the script, which was revised by Susannah Grant.
Donald De Line is producing through his De Line Pictures banner. Production begins Nov. 9, and the pic is set for a Thanksgiving release next year.
Aguilera plays an ambitious small-town girl with a big voice who finds success in a neo-burlesque club reminiscent of the nightclub in Bob Fosse's "Cabaret." Tucci will play the manager of the Sunset Boulevard club and the best friend and confidante of Tess (Cher), a former dancer who takes the young girl under her wing. Pic marks Cher's first movie starring role in a decade.
Tucci is coming off "Julie and Julia" and "The Devil Wears Prada." He most recently starred for Screen Gems in the comedy "Easy A" and also stars in the Peter Jackson-directed "The Lovely Bones."

Amanda Holden is seen here demonstrating a novel way of wearing your shoes.
The Britain's Got Talent judge stripped down to a pair of leopard print knickers and kept her modesty intact by placing a pair of silver stilettos over her bosom.
Amanda was pictured in the racy pose as part of a charity campaign to raise funds for research into women's health issues.
And famous faces including Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole and the Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown will be delving into their shoe closet for an eBay auction of stars' stilettos.
The 77-year-old actress was close friends with the late pop icon and wants her final resting place to be alongside Michael at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn cemetery.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "After sitting through Michael's funeral service at the Great Mausoleum, with its magnificent stained-glass windows and replicas of Michelangelo's artworks, she later told friends, 'I felt a sense of peace there that I've never experienced before.' "
Elizabeth is said to be searching for a plot next to Michael - who died on June 25 of acute Propofol intoxication.
The actress - who uses a wheelchair because of scoliosis, which causes abnormal curving of the spine - did not attend Michael's public memorial service in Los Angeles, held in July, as she was too overcome by grief.
She said at the time: "I've been asked to speak at the Staples Center. I cannot be part of the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word."
In the immediate aftermath of his death, she released an emotional tribute to the 'Billie Jean' singer, saying: "I loved Michael with all my soul and I can't imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together.
"He will live in my heart forever but it's not enough. My life feels so empty. I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other.
"It was the purest most giving love I've ever known."
I don't know how much truth is in this because it is the National Enquirer, but that's really sweet if so. They had such an adorable friendship
Actors dream that a big break will come along that will catapult them into that kind of Hollywood A-list fame that will ensure they'll never again have to worry about their next job.
For most actors, the call never comes. But for Christoph Waltz, who garnered awards and praise the world over for his portrayal of a Nazi in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, which was just released in Israel last week, that call did come. Twice.
The Austrian-born Waltz, who won the coveted Best Actor Award at last year's Cannes Film Festival for his work in the movie, has had a 30-year career in film, television and stage in Germany and Austria. The role in Inglourious Basterds was a career breakthrough for him. But just last week it was announced that he was stepping into the film The Green Hornet.

First comes love, then comes marriage… could a baby be next for Alyssa Milano?
The 36-year-old actress tells US that life has been “blissful” since she and Hollywood agent David Bugliari tied the knot last month.
"It doesn't really feel any different yet," Alyssa says of married life. "I think kids would probably change the dynamics, but for right now, not too much has changed. Which is good."
Joking that her "mom has been on my case since I was 24" to give her a grandchild, Alyssa says she and David plan to just “go with the flow.”
"I don't think we are going to plan it," she says. "I think we are just going to go with the flow. So we'll see what happens. But I am [getting older]. Gotta get on it!"
Universal Pictures has added Barbie to its star stable.
The studio has made a deal with Mattel to build a live action film around its signature toy line. Studios are placing a premium on building films around well-known concepts. Universal brass feels it has landed the queen of globally branded toy figures.
Laurence Mark will produce.
According to Mattel, the 50-year old Barbie has 99% worldwide brand awareness, is the number one girls property in the toy industry, the top doll property in the U.S. and the number one worldwide property in the traditional toy industry.
“Barbie is the most famous doll in history, a unique cultural icon in the world of brands,” said Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger. “So many representations of Barbie frequent pop culture, but never before has she been brought to life in a motion picture. We’re grateful to Mattel for entrusting us with this extraordinary opportunity.”
Mark said the next step will be to canvas writers and decide a creative take for a family-friendly movie. Mark, who just produced “Julie & Julia” and is currently in production on the untitled James L. Brooks-directed comedy that stars Reese Witherspoon and Jack Nicholson, was one of several A-list producers who met with Mattel and U execs. Mark said he felt fortunate to get the job and said there is no shortage of plot possibilities, since Barbie has held more than 120 jobs over the years.
“Barbie may be the most popular girl in the world, and has always been a wonderfully aspirational figure, so we must do her proud,” Mark said.
The executive producers are Barbie general manager and Mattel senior veep Richard Dickson, and Rob Hudnut, who is vice president of Entertainment for Barbie. The brand managers will clearly be hands on in determining how Mattel's star asset translates to the screen.
Asked why there had never before been a live action feature (there have been 16 direct-to-video animated titles, selling 75 million units worldwide, per Mattel), Dickson called the U deal the logical next step in expanding the brand’s reach. In the past several years, Barbie has expanded into areas like fashion shows, merchandise, and online ventures that include Twitter, Facebook, even Barbie’s own YouTube channel.
“The brand wasn’t ready for a movie,” Dickson said. “In the last 10 years, Barbie has evolved from a toy into an intellectual property. We’ve already had enormous success in the entertainment industry. Barbie has a proven track record in home entertainment, there have been live stage shows, live symphonies and other non-traditional forms of entertainment. There is a flagship store in Shanghai. There are a lot of ways we are already communicating with Barbie’s audience, and there is a richness to the brand as an entertainment property.”
While Universal and Mark will want to move ahead aggressively, Dickson said no timetable has been set for Barbie’s big screen debut.
“The utmost concern is to make sure every detail is right,” Dickson said. “Rather than a timetable, I’m more interested in making sure we deliver the right product.”
The Barbie deal was made by CAA, which previously placed at Universal and Playtone Mattel’s “Major Matt Mason,” a potential star vehicle for Tom Hanks. The most recent deal is an as-yet-to-be-launched Mattel monster toy line that will be turned into a musical by that reunites “Hairspray” producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who’ll write the original score.
RIP original film ideas.
Also, if Kristin Chenoweth isn't cast as Barbie, then I offically give up.

My Living Nightmare Of Encouraging Kids To Read Is Over

After 26 long years, I can finally rest easy. Twenty-six years I spent standing in front of a camera, gritting my teeth, and shilling the latest works of every hack children's book author imaginable. For 26 years, I've told kids they could open a magical door to another world just by reading a book, when the only door it ever opened for me led to a soul-sucking career in the horrifying abyss of public television.

In The Kind Diet, actress, activist, and committed conservationist Alicia Silverstone shares the insights that encouraged her to swear off meat and dairy forever, and outlines the spectacular benefits of adopting a plant-based diet, from effortless weight loss to clear skin, off-the-chart energy, and smooth digestion. She explains how meat, fish, milk, and cheese, the very foods we've been taught to regard as the cornerstone of good nutrition are actually the culprits behind escalating rates of disease and the cause of dire, potentially permanent damage to our ecology.
Yet going meat- and dairy-free doesn't mean suffering deprivation; to the contrary, The Kind Diet introduces irresistibly delicious food that satisfies on every level, it even includes amazing desserts to keep the most stubborn sweet tooth happy. Alicia also addresses the nutritional concerns faced by many who are new to a plant-based diet, and shows how to cover every nutritional base, from protein to calcium and beyond.
Alicia knows that changing life-long dietary habits is a process, and that each person progresses at a different pace. For that reason, The Kind Diet encompasses 3 separate levels, from Flirting to Superhero. Flirts learn to dip a toe into the vegan pool, reducing their meat-eating and swapping out a few key foods for plant-based substitutes to see quickly how even small changes can reap big results. Vegans get to experience the life-altering effects of forgoing animal-products entirely, while still enjoying many convenience foods and meat substitutes in addition to the wonderful grains, vegetables and fruits thatform the core of that diet. True enlightenment comes with the Superhero program, based on the principles of macrobiotics and built on a foundation of whole grains, vegetables, and other yummy foods that Alicia describes in detail.
Whether your goal is to drop a few pounds, boost your energy and metabolism, or simply save the world, Alicia provides the encouragement, the information, and the tools you need to make the transition to a plant-based diet deliciously empowering. The Kind Diet is set to hit stores in the October 13.

Renee Zellweger won't be piling on the pounds to reprise her role as Bridget Jones -- the actress is reportedly planning to don a fat suit for filming.
The petite star has signed on for a third film about the hapless diary-keeper, after the first two movies grossed more than $544 million worldwide.
But instead of embarking on a high fat diet as she did for the 2001 and 2004 pictures, Zellweger will turn to the wardrobe department to make her appear larger.
A source tells Britain's Reveal magazine, "Renee will be wearing a fat suit in the third film as it took her a while to lose the weight last time. She's also thinking about the effect quickly putting on and then losing 30 pounds has on her body."
Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are also expected to return to the movie franchise. The upcoming film is rumored to chart Jones' quest to have a baby in her 40s.

Sam Raimi is taking "Refuge."
The genre maestro has signed on to produce a supernatural horror pic of that name, based on a pitch from up-and-coming British director Corin Hardy. The project has been set up at Mandate, where Raimi's Ghost House Pictures has a deal.
"Refuge" centers on a remote town terrorized by a Yeti, the mythological creature native to the mountains of the Himalayas. Hardy will direct from a script by fellow British writer Tom De Ville; both are repped by Paradigm's Marc Helwig and Trevor Astbury.
Jason Blum, Nathan Kahane and Steven Schneider will produce.
Meanwhile, Blum's Blumhouse Prods. will finance a short film with the same premise as the "Refuge" feature. Hardy and De Ville will work on that as well. The idea is to offer a teaser that can help Hardy refine his vision even as the script is being developed.
Genre auteurs are increasingly taking on projects from young directors and shepherding them through the indie and studio system as both producers and mentors. Guillermo del Toro, for instance, has taken on that role with Juan Antonio Bayona and other Spanish newcomers.
The CAA-repped Raimi, who is next set to shoot "Spider-Man 4" as well as an adaptation of the video game "World of Warcraft," is involved in a number of projects as a producer, including the vampire comic book adaptation "Priest" at Screen Gems.
Jenny Wood at Elevate manages Hardy -- a music video director for bands such as Prodigy and Keane -- while Independent's Hugo Wood reps him in the U.K.
‘Official Michael Jackson Opus’ uses new tech
Deluxe book will feature interactive media that delighted late ‘King of Pop’Michael Jackson’s shocking passing June 25 robbed fans of the chance to see the iconic entertainer perform at his planned 50-concert stand in London this summer. But at least another project Jackson was working on at the time of his death will come to fruition: a mammoth, groundbreaking coffee-table book on his life.
The “Official Michael Jackson Opus,” produced by the London-based luxury publishing company Kraken Opus, will debut in all its 13-by-18-inch, 380-page glory this December. Kraken Opus CEO Karl Fowler told Al Roker live on TODAY Wednesday that the book is a comprehensive look into Jackson’s life as the late “King of Pop” himself saw it. Nic Cage Ditches 'Green Hornet' Because It Lacked Humanity
Nicolas Cage told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival that he decided to drop out of Michel Gondry's adaptation of The Green Hornet because he wasn't satisfied by the way his character, the Green Hornet's nemesis Chudnofsky, was written. According to Cage, the character lacked "humanity" and any sort of background as to why he was a bad guy, and that he "wasn't interested in just being just a straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly."
It's a bit hard to take Cage's explanation seriously, since he was at the festival to promote his new movie, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, directed by Werner Herzog. As Eugene Novikov wrote in his review of the movie, Cage's character is the self-serious yet off-the-wall type we've come to expect from the actor.
Bad Lieutenant has several of the year's highlights, including a tour de force in which Lieutenant McDonagh stops a pair of youngsters on their way home from a club, confiscates their drugs, snorts them, and has sex with the girl while forcing the guy to watch. (You have to imagine this performed in a full-on Nic Cage-ean fury for the full effect.) He's one bad Lieutenant indeed, though the movie makes clear that he has an honest streak: he'll pocket all the dope he can, but -- unlike his partner, played by Val Kilmer -- he stops short at, say, murdering a drug dealer in "self-defense" to pocket his money.
He also points a gun at a grandmother, smokes crack, and hallucinates an iguana. Let's not forget his tour de force of beating up women in the absolutely unnecessary remake of The Wicker Man. But a comic book character bad guy -- no way!
Instead, Christoph Waltz from Inglourious Basterds will be taking over. Ironically enough, Waltz's ability to bring an eerie humanity to his character Col. Hans Landa (aka the Jew Hunter) won him the Best Actor award at Cannes and has Oscar watchers already placing bets on a Supporting Actor nomination. Although I'll miss Nic Cage's hysterical outbursts in The Green Hornet, chances are good that Waltz will be a better baddie.
I checked, but didn't see this posted. I kinda think they got rid of him the moment Christoph Waltz said yes. His casting gave the movie another popularity boost after all. And Nic Cage signs up to everything as long as the paycheck is right. His other movie sounds...interesting o_O Anyone seen it @ TIFF?

Now that he’s facing formidable opposition from Sir Elton John and Captain James Blunt, Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien has finally spoken out about the pseudo showdown between the Featured Artists Coalition and Lily Allen’s “It’s Not Alright” blog (which has been either hacked or mysteriously deleted by Allen in the past 12 hours).
“I completely agree with Lily Allen,” O’Brien told BBC World Service (via NME). “We’re [Radiohead] certainly not going to suffer. A lot of people have downloaded our music for free, but ultimately we don’t suffer as much as a small band.”
O’Brien maintained his stance that the government should not be allowed to disconnect alleged illegal file-sharers, but insisted that what he and “people like Lily Allen are saying” to music pirates is: “Listen, if you want a great vibrant music scene and your favorite bands to be able to carry on doing it, you have a responsibility to pay for some of the work that they’ve produced.”
Sounds like a bit of damage control to me, but it’s still nice to see these two finally agreeing on something. Teaching the public responsibility could be an impossible task, though. Trent Reznor learned that the hard way.
Ed's classy, as usual.
tl;dr - He's saying that people should pay for some of the artist's work if they enjoy it but, if they don't, they shouldn't be disconnected.
"Everybody loves buffalo chicken!" Rachael Ray hollered as she dished up chicken wings, lasagna and pizza on Tuesday's episode of "Good Morning America."
The celebrity chef and talk show host seems to have lost none of her trademark vocal vigor despite minor surgery in July to remove a benign cyst growing on one of her vocal cords.
Ray's voice had been weakening to the point where, according to her publicist, Charlie Dougiello, she would end the work week barely able to speak.
Ray was scheduled to have the cyst removed last December but opted to try vocal therapy, hoping the cyst would disappear without surgery.
"Her doctors felt that with some vocal coaching and therapy, they could reduce the size of the cyst and have it eventually disappear," Dougiello said. "She went to vocal therapy and learned techniques on how to use her voice differently."
While it may be possible to manage small cysts with vocal therapy and prolonged rests -- in other words, not speaking -- doctors say the definitive treatment is surgery.
I'm so glad we will continue to hear Rachael's beautiful voice!!

As first time mom Katherine Heigl nests with her newly adopted baby girl, her Ugly Truth costar Gerard Butler raves that she will be a natural at motherhood.
"She will be an amazing mom," Butler told PEOPLE at the premiere of his new film Law Abiding Citizen in New York City Wednesday. "She's incredibly responsible, smart and loving. This is a huge deal for her and she's going to take to it like a duck to water."
In fact, the Scottish actor, 39, said Heigl used her maternal instincts on him while working together. "She mothered me," he said. "Anytime I was feeling under the weather or was having a hard day, that's when she was amazing. She would always come and check on me. I think she's naturally a caretaker in the best way."
Heigl, 30, and her musician husband Josh Kelley, 29, recently adopted 10-month old Naleigh from South Korea after a six-month long process.
"It's great that she did that," Butler said of Heigl's decision to adopt a special needs baby. "It's just a testament to her character and to her personality that she went out of her way to do that. It's a beautiful thing."

Renée Zellweger, Bradley Cooper's Case 39 Finally Coming Off Paramount's Shelf
Funny: We were just talking yesterday about how director Christian Alvart’s Pandorum and Case 39 might make for a great double feature of Bad Movies We Love — if, that is, the latter film ever found its way off the Paramount shelf where it’s rested for more than three years. Then, no sooner had we looked back on a year of high-profile dumpings then the ‘Mount gave us our first burial of 2010: Case 39! Small world!
The studio on Wednesday announced that the Renée Zellweger thriller — which was shot way back in 2006 — would open Jan. 1, 2010 in the US (it’s already trickled out here and there internationally). The film has been idling in the closet long enough now that co-star Bradley Cooper can possibly supply a little more cachet than original male lead Ian McShane; the story concerns a social worker (Zellweger) whose attempt to save a young girl from abusive parents turns into a psychological horror show. Hats off to the studio for finally finding an angle to deliver this one’s underwhelming promise, and many thanks in advance for the scathing-review fodder that Movieline readers enjoy so much. Can’t. Wait.
With just a little over two weeks before its release, Michael Bublé fans are eagerly anticipating his new album, 'Crazy Love.' The effort, which takes its title from a Van Morrison song, is the singer's first since 2007's 'Call Me Irresponsible,' and if this behind-the-scenes video is anything to go by, this could be Bublé's most exciting record yet. "This record was done different from the very start," he says. "I went back to the way my idols made their records." To learn more about how Bublé made 'Crazy Love' -- and to catch a peak at some of the album's songs -- check out the exclusive video below.
Wonder how Buble feels about the Blunt/Krasinksi engagement...
The 23-year-old actress sounded off on her recent rise to fame: "I think that I'm really overexposed. I was part of a movie that [the studio] wanted to make sure would make $700 million, so they oversaturated the media with their stars, I don't want to be in magazines every week and on the Internet everyday. I don't want to have people get completely sick of me before I've ever even done something legitimate."

“Did it excite you?” That’s 23-year-old Amanda Seyfried, taking a break from lunch—tonno salad served at a café in Italy, where she’s on location filming with Vanessa Redgrave—to talk about a less highbrow project: her new teenage-vampire movie, Jennifer’s Body. Specifically, she wants to know what I thought of the moment when she and her co-star, Megan Fox, kiss. You probably know the scene: Teasers for it comprise the film’s entire marketing strategy. “There may be one trailer where it’s literally two full minutes of us making out,” says Seyfried. (Attention, producers: Why have we not seen this yet?) “A lot of people in the world want to make out with Megan Fox, and she’s good. She has a lot of lips. We both have a lot of lips. It was very feminine.” Noted. We should point out, however, that it’s not as though the Pennsylvania native needed a lesbian kiss to juice her career. After years of superb but little-noticed performances in projects like HBO’s Big Love—Seyfried does more with an aecting pout than most actresses can do with a ream of dialogue—Mamma Mia! took her face global. (Yes, that was her singing live at the Oscars.) Still, getting it on with Fox, gratuitous as it was, turned out to be good preparation for Seyfried’s next project, Chloe, in which she plays an escort who seduces both Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore. “I had to make out with Julianne,” Seyfried says. “I was like, ‘I’ve already done this! Magic, Hosting and a Broadway Rumour
Neil will host “It’s Magic”, part of a week long celebration of the Magic Castle’s 100th anniversary. “It’s Magic!” will take place on Sunday, October 8th, at 7:00pm at The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Tickets cost between $25 and $67.50, visit Ticketmaster to purchase.
Neil’s hosting gig at the Emmys saw the ratings rise almost 10%, similar to the ratings high achieved when he hosted the Tonys back in June. And the glowing reviews have continued to roll in over the last 48 hours; they now include NPR, Time Magazine, eonline, TV Guide, and Hugh Jackman.
Charity Folks are running an auction to win the chance to visit the set of HIMYM and meet Josh Radnor, to benefit Young Storytellers. The bidding currently stands at $1,500 and the auction runs for another 7 days. To find out more about Young Storytellers, visit youngstorytellers.com.
And finally, according to Roger Friedman of The Hollywood Reporter, Neil is set to join the cast of David Mamet’s “Race” on Broadway this winter. Rehersals begin on October 19th, previews run from November 17th and the play officially opens on December 6th, but there’s no official confirmation one way or the other yet, and we would suggest taking it with a pinch of salt at the moment as it would obviously seriously interrupt with Neil’s HIMYM commitments.

The kids' music landscape is pretty bleak for the most part, filled with obnoxiously cute dinky folk music and tinkly Casio lullabies and the Wiggles. So the folks behind the Nickelodeon show "Yo Gabba Gabba!" are doing god's work when they bring deliriously technicolor art-school fantasias like this and this into our living rooms.
As a bonus, the show regularly features appearances from musicians who generally don't have anything to do with the whole rugrat circuit, including the Shins, of Montreal, the Roots, Chromeo, Mark Kozelek, Biz Markie, and I'm From Barcelona. All those folks will soon turn up on the compilation Yo Gabba Gabba! Music Is Awesome!, due October 20 from Filter. Check below for that tracklist. There will also be an iTunes deluxe edition with bonus songs.

Jennifer Aniston broke down after a love scene reminded her of Brad Pitt.
The Hollywood actress - whose marriage to the 'Inglourious Basterds' hunk ended in 2005 - was apparently so distraught about the romantic scenes with her 'The Bounty' co-star Gerard Butler, she fled to her trailer in tears.
She reportedly told her assistant: "I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me."
On set sources claim this wasn't a one-off incident and the 40-year-old actress - who has remained single since she was dumped by singer John Mayer earlier this year - was "very fragile" during the last few months of filming.
The source added to the New York Post newspaper: "While she enjoyed flirting with Gerard on set and put a brave face on every day, privately she is still very fragile."
During production, Jennifer was romantically linked with Gerard, 38, after they were seen holding hands while on a dinner date in New York. When Jennifer and Brad's five-year union ended, there was speculation this was down to his growing closeness to his 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie - with whom he now raises six

Lamest Saved by the Bell Tell-All Ever
This isn't exactly the best week to come out with a tell-all. There's just no way to compete with Mackenzie Phillips' dramabomb, but Dustin "Screech Powers" Diamond does his best.
And honestly, even if there wasn't some '70s actress talking about her incestuous affair with her father all over the place, Diamond's Saved by the Bell tell-all, Behind the Bell, would still be a pretty big fail.
Turns out the eternal Bayside High nerd was quite the outcast offscreen, too. In the Us Weekly preview of the book, Diamond speculates about a lot of things he thinks happened but never witnessed because no one wanted him around.

Randy Quaid arrested in Texas on Calif. warrant
MARFA, Texas — Actor Randy Quaid and his wife have been arrested in West Texas for allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 California hotel bill.
Quaid and his wife, Evi, were taken into custody Thursday afternoon, according to Santa Barbara County sheriff's officials, who said authorities in West Texas informed them of the arrest. A statement from the California agency said it was told by the Presidio County Sheriff's Department that Evi Quaid was restrained after a brief struggle.
Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez declined to respond to questions from The Associated Press.
Presidio County authorities said earlier Thursday that the two were in custody in Marfa but the department wasn't releasing other details.
Santa Barbara County's sheriff's spokesman Drew Sugars says the warrant for Quaid and his wife set bail at $20,000 each. The felony warrant is for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
He says detectives haven't been able to interview the actor yet.
A message left for Randy Quaid's commercial agent, Steven Arcieri, was not immediately returned.
Marfa, a remote West Texas town, is no stranger to Hollywood attention.
More than 50 years ago, filmmaker George Stevens settled on the area for his epic Texas oil tale "Giant," which starred Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean. (Stevens won a best director Oscar for "Giant" in 1957, the only win of that film's 10 nominations).
More recently, "There Will be Blood" and "No Country for Old Men" were filmed in the desolate town of 2,100, founded as a railroad stop in 1883.
When it seemed as if “The Diary of Anne Frank” was going to be remade, that sounded like it could be a Disney movie.
But when adapted by provocateur playwright and filmmaker David Mamet as a pro-Israel exploration of anti-Semitism movie set in contemporary times – the project became less likely to be made by the Walt Disney Company.

We're With the Band: Panic! at the Disco
By Erin Clements
Since swaggering onto the scene in 2005 with their platinum-selling debut album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Las Vegas–bred pop-punkers Panic! at the Disco have won a VMA (for their high-energy hit “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”), lost three members (most recently, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker, who left in July to form the Young Veins), and overcome creative differences over punctuation (note the 2008 disappearance and 2009 reappearance of the exuberant exclamation point in the band’s name). Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith, both 22, who recently wrapped a summer tour with Blink-182, gave us the lowdown on “New Perspective,” their latest single.
Tell me about “New Perspective,” which is featured on the Jennifer’s Body soundtrack.
Brendon: We wrote it about a year ago, before people at Fox wanted to use it for Jennifer’s Body. We had a rough demo, and when they were like, “Hey, we want to use one of your songs,” we sent them that one. They told us that basically the movie’s about this possessed girl who eats boys. And the song’s not really about that. But it worked out.
How does the song fit into the movie?
Brendon: It’s a scene when they’re getting ready for prom.
Spencer: There’s a guy in the movie who—well, I can’t give anything away, but he’s a nice dude and he’s getting ready for his big night, but then things go pretty badly.
What were you two like in high school?
Brendon: I would’ve been classified as a spaz. And I still kind of am.
Spencer: I never went to football games or any of that stuff, but the guys in the band all went to different high schools. So it seemed like our whole scene existed outside of high school. I was just waiting for the day to be done to move on.

It feels like we've been waiting for ages for Chicago's Kid Sister to release a proper LP. got her toes done up
It is morning, and 21-year-old Elly Jackson – or La Roux, arguably the bigest new pop star of the year – is on the Eurostar to Belgium, where she is heading to appear on a TV show. She is grateful for the coffee her press officer has bought her, but wonders if anything stronger is available. "Have you got my gak as well?" she laughs.
The hit singles and No 1 album have, evidently, not made her clam up for fear of adverse publicity. Within minutes of our meeting, she has dismissed Take That as "gaylords" and compared today's chart acts unfavourably with their 80s forebears.
"George Michael wrote Careless Whisper when he was 17," she says. "I didn't see Tinchy Stryder writing a song like that when he was 17, but he still gets the same praise." She blames a culture that shuns criticism for the drop in standards. "It's the media," she says. "Everything is 'amazing, brilliant'." Radio DJs, she contends, are "not allowed to slag anything off", and any negative opinions are kept private.
She says she doesn't want to "start a hate war" with anyone, but she does wish she could be more truthful about other artists. "I can't possibly like everything – how ridiculous is that?" she says, reasonably enough. But still people recoil when she speaks her mind. "They're like, 'Really, Lady Gaga's not your thing?' Have you listened to my album? Of course it's not my thing!"

Nicole claims in her suit, "In an intoxicated and uncontrollable rage, defendant Francis, who weighs over 200 lbs, physically attacked plaintiff Nicole, approximately 115 lbs, by pulling on her hair from behind to gain maximum control over her person and then violently shoving and/or throwing her to the ground of the nightclub like a rag-doll."
Nicole claims she suffered all sorts of injuries from the fight, including a "black-eye, swollen face, bruised ribs, sore and bruised abdomen region, bruised arms and legs, ripped-out hair, and utter emotional distress and humiliation."
She's suing for $1 million plus punitive damages.
UPDATE: TMZ has just received the following statement from Joe Francis:
"Jayde Nicole is an absolute and total liar. Her prior statements about the incident are not only slanderous and defamatory, but actionable.
It is so interesting that Jayde Nicole would hire the same attorney (Ron Richards) who represented the double murderer who kidnapped me from my Bel Air mansion at gunpoint in 2004, for which he is now serving 11 years.
The only thing that Jayde Nicole is famous for is having a tattoo of the word "respect" above her vagina ... for which we all know she has none of."
Francis added, "Jayde have you seen a picture of me lately? I'm 175 lbs. soaking wet."

Promising that “I’m going back to doing what I do best,” Bob Weinstein has unveiled several films to be released by Dimension over the next year, many in 3-D.
“Scream IV” will start production in April or May as the first of a new trilogy and the company is talking to Wes Craven to direct, Weinstein reports. Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette will star.
Robert Rodriguez is writing “Spy Kids IV,” which he will direct in 3D. The movie will be made in partnership with Disney and will start shooting in March 2010, Weinstein said.
In addition, the company wants to shoot “Halloween III” in 3-D, aiming to release it in October 2010. Dimension also is remaking the cult classic, “Children of the Corn.”
“I’m heading back to my franchise films,” Weinstein declared, citing plans to shoot sequels to “Hellraiser” and “Scanners” in 3D. Also on the slate are “Short Circuit” and “American Werewolf in London.” “These films are our strength and we are committed to doing them in style.”
The first three “Scream” pictures registered grosses of roughly $100 million a piece in the U.S.
Weinstein also said that “The Road” will open wide on November 25th in some 800 theatres.
In response to a query, Weinstein said “there is no question that financing is readily available to produce and market these films.” He added: “I am eager to expand our scope in the 3D business.”

Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds surpassed Pulp Fiction at the box office and is now the filmmaker’s highest grossing film ever. Inglourious Basterds has now grossed over $108 million in North American box office receipts since its initial release on August 21, 2009.
Pulp Fiction, previously Tarantino’s best North American performance, took in $107,966,120 in its North American release. Inglourious Basterds is an international success for TWC and its partner, Universal Pictures. The film opened at #1 in the US and around the world on August 21, 2009.
“We have been Quentin’s biggest fans since the beginning. It was extremely gratifying to see Inglourious Basterds put up such huge numbers. It is a kick ass film from a director who always keeps me and audiences on their toes, said Harvey Weinstein in response to the new benchmark.
Weinstein credits the success to a first rate film and an innovative marketing plan. The film was the first to make use of Twitter and other social networking sites in such a direct fashion, even involving Twitter in the film’s LA premiere. “It was great working with Biz Stone at Twitter on ‘Inglourious.’ It took the campaign to another level,” says Weinstein.
According to Variety, and Kevin Williamson's twitter, Neve Campbell will return for Scream IV. Dimension Films are currently in talks with Wes Craven, the director of the first Scream Trilogy, to direct this film. The script is due by Thanksgiving Day, and filming is slated to begin in March 2010.
also, being produced is Halloween III in 3-D and a remake of Children of the Corn. Bob Weinstein is heading back to the franchise mold with plans to also shoot sequels to Hellraiser and Scanners in 3-D as well as remakes of Short Circuit and American Warewolf in London.

Milo, 32, was last romantically linked to his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere, 20.
Jaimie, 25, is most popular for her role as cloned human Jessi XX on the sci-fi show Kyle XY. She was just cast opposite Chris Hemsworth in the superhero flick Thor as one of the thunder god’s loves. Jaimie will play Sif, a skilled Asgardian warrior who can hold her own against any man.
After the Thor news was announced, Milo tweeted Jaimie: “Congrats to @JaimieGirlXO, very well deserved.”
You've likely read the tabloid reports or watched the explosive footage on TV: On Wednesday, Oprah Winfrey aired an exclusive interview with Mackenzie Phillips in which the "One Day at a Time" star reveals that her father raped her. She says John Phillips, the deceased cofounder of the Mamas and Papas, first sexually assaulted her on the eve of her wedding at the age of 19. In the years that followed, she described waking up many times "after drug-fueled events with my pants around my ankles and my father sleeping beside me." Eventually, she said, the rape turned into a consensual relationship. Several feminist bloggers have responded in disbelief.
A couple of things are clear: The blackout incidents Mackenzie describes are clearly rape, and the concept of transitioning from repeated sexual assaults to a consensual sexual relationship with one's attacker -- regardless of whether they are a close relative -- is a a psychologically thorny one that she rightfully compares to "Stockholm syndrome, where you begin to love your captor." But the larger question Mackenzie's story raises is whether it's ever possible for father-daughter incest to be consensual when both parties are adults.
In asking that very question, Anna of Jezebel mentions the author Kathryn Harrison, who detailed her incestuous relationship with her father in "The Kiss." She writes:
It's clear from that book that the ties of love, obligation, and power that bind a father and daughter change the whole concept of "consent." Harrison didn't grow up with her father, and their incest began when she was an adult — like Phillips, her story is not the (relatively) familiar one of child molestation. But it does call into question whether even an adult daughter really has free choice in having sex with her father. And even if she does, it's hard not to see his role in the act as a very serious form of abuse.
On the Huffington Post, Alex Leo responds to Phillips' description of the relationship's eventual transformation: "Nope. Not consensual. Not even close. Whether this is the media's understanding of her lack of outward protest or her own internalization of such heinous events, it's not true. She could not have given consent." She aptly notes the specifics of this case: Phillips was raped by this man, her own father, when she was incapacitated from drugs at the young age of 19. Leo adds that "she was in no way capable of saying no to a man who had so much influence over her" and, I would add, supplied her with drugs. Then she turns to the broader question of consensual incest: "I doubt incest victims ever are ever capable of consent with their abuser." On a similar note, Melissa McEwan of Shakesville says, "I'm not sure that a 'sexual relationship' with a parent can ever be truly consensual."
It is no doubt an appealing argument, first and foremost because of the near-universal incest taboo, which is firmly rooted in legitimate concern about the high health risks of reproduction, and a desire to protect the security of the family unit and the innocent bond between parent and child. The degree of meaningful consent also seems questionable: There is an inherent power imbalance between father and daughter, and the potential for children being destructively "groomed" -- through emotional manipulation or an inappropriate physical relationship -- until they are of legal age. As with all discussions of sexual consent, the issue of age quickly arises: When exactly is a woman mature enough to be able to make such a decision about the man that brought her into this world? And, finally, there is no question that most adult women would see a sexual advance from their father as a supreme emotional betrayal.
All that said, I have a hard time agreeing with the argument that adult father-daughter incest is always, without exception, rape. Unfortunately, sex can be fraught with pressure and indirect coercion -- because of a power imbalance or manipulation. Emotionally unhealthy and profoundly destructive sexual relationships abound: Are all of these varied situations necessarily rape? I don't think it's that straightforward. Our visceral reaction to this cultural taboo warps the debate.
Whatever to that last part. I still think it's rape. And sorry to all the Star Trek fans I confused.
she looks different. not bad, just different.

Justin Long, take note.
"Sexual love is secondary to me right now," Drew Barrymore says in a new Parade magazine interview. "I've spent a lot of time in my life dedicating myself to love or the pursuit of love or the understanding of love. But for the last few years, my life just hasn't been about that for me."
The twice-married star, 34, adds that she's "stopped believing in happy endings."
"I've started believing in good days," she says. "At the end of my movie, there's honesty. There's truth. There's peace. What tomorrow will bring is still in question. There is a joy that's earned by failure or triumph. All those things add up to teach us, if we are open to it."
She also sheds light on her relationship with her estranged mother, Jaid.
"I believe she will see the film," she tells Parade, referring to her directorial debut, Whip It. The dramedy, starring Ellen Page, centers on a girl's rocky relationship with her mother.
"I believe she does feel pride in me," Barrymore says of her mother, to whom she became legally emancipated from in 1991.
"I used to pull a lot emotionally from all the stuff with my family, but I did not do this movie to cleanse myself of the mother-daughter debacle that happened in my life," she continues. "I have been much more objective about my childhood and my relationship with my mother in these last few years. I used to be more attached to all that. I won't deny that the baggage was there at one point."
Learning to let go of that emotional baggage has made her feel like more of an adult.
"I've always wondered what it felt like to be an adult, because I've always had to mother myself," she says. "I think maybe I finally am one."
