AND TO THE HATERS: You won't look anywhere near this good at 53. Or right now, frankly.
In less than a year Robert Pattinson has gone from “that handsome guy who played Cedric Diggory” in the Harry Potter films to the world’s most desired movie star.
But now, on the cusp of even bigger success with the impending release of New Moon and Eclipse currently being filmed in Vancouver, it may all slip away from R-Pattz, thanks to his recently accelerated romance with his on-and-off-screen girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
Because it’s not only his legions of female fans who might be disappointed to see Rob taken off the bachelor block by Kristen — there’s also the folks behind the Twilight films.
A real-life romance between the two would subvert New Moon’s entire story line, in which Bella falls for hunky werewolf Jacob Black, played by 17-year-old Taylor Lautner, and the studio brass want the Bella-Jacob spark to appear equally as plausible as the Bella-Edward relationship.
“The producers took Rob and Kris aside and told them to keep their relationship under wraps for a few more months,” an insider tells OK!. “But they’re so much in love, they can’t keep their hands off each other.”
It’s made life a bit of a pressure cooker for the two young superstars. “They’re crazy about each other, and they want to shout it from the rooftops,” says an Eclipse set insider. “But they’re also part of this massive machine called Twilight and producers have this thing timed with scientific precision. They don’t want Rob and Kristen to tell the world about their relationship until the time is right.”
Adds the source, “Rob’s whole world is Kristen. I’m surprised he even knows his lines because he’s so absorbed with her. He has no time whatsoever for his guy friends and has cut virtually everyone off so he can spend every waking moment with Kristen. He’s all about his woman.”
Regardless of whether he’s jeopardizing his career by moving toward marriage with Kristen, Rob is clearly ready and willing to take the risk. “Trust me; he generally does what he’s told by producers,” one source tells OK!, “but this kid has a strong will of his own, and if he wants to walk around Vancouver with Kristen in front of the world, he’s going to.”

Annie Leibovitz has been sued -- again -- for passing off another photographer's work as her own. She allegedly stitched a portrait she took onto a background he took and passed it off as her own shot. Which gave us an idea! Italian photographer Paolo Pizzetti sued Leibovitz last week for copyright infringement.
According to Bloomberg, Leibovitz hired Pizzetti last year to scout locations for a calendar she was shooting for the Italian coffee company LavAzza. Leibovitz did indeed shoot photos for the calendar, which was supposed to be themed "The Italian Espresso Experience," but she couldn't actually make it to Italy to photograph the models. No problem—she just shot her models in New York and then pasted them onto photos taken in scenic Italian backgrounds. No muss, no fuss, the check cleared.
But Pizzetti wasn't in on the joke, apparently, and was shocked to find his background shot actually in the calendar—that's the photo at issue. Our reaction: Who knew how easy it is to be a celebrity international photographer? You don't even have to go anywhere! And while we were waiting for news from the passing of today's deadline for the repayment of Art Capital Group's $24 million loan to Leibovitz (spokespersons for both Art Capital and Leibovitz had no comment on the deadline), it occurred to us that photoshop-whoring some of her more iconic shots could, with the click of a mouse, make those money troubles go away. We thought we'd get her started.

Rachel Zoe set to debut affordable clothing line
Brad is obviously ecstatic about this news
Celebrity stylist and star of her own reality TV show, Rachel Zoe is set to launch her own line of clothing September 12 on the QVC channel at 8p.m. The items she has designed look similar to clothing she puts on clients such as Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, and Cameron Diaz (Us Weekly). Rachel is known for pouring her lithe frame into luxurious fur coats and vintage fur vests, which will be featured in the clothing line as well - only it will be faux fur of course!
Rachel Zoe items will range somewhere in between $30 to $150. This line is a plus for Rachel Zoe fans that have been trying to emulate her signature looks that she dresses her clients in as well as herself. The one person Zoe told Us Weekly she would "die" to see in her clothing? Michelle Obama! I can't quite picture the First Lady in huge cocktail rings, over sized sunglasses, and a fur vest - but you never know when it comes to Rachel Zoe. You can preview the items before the QVC broadcast by going to www.qvc.com.
I dont really care about her so can we just talk about Brad?

AMY WINEHOUSE's long-suffering dad Mitch is sick with worry - after finding her back in bed with her no-good ex-husband.
He went charging round after the singer's security guard told him Amy was with druggie and former jailbird BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL.
The former cabbie, 58 - who suffers with heart problems and high blood pressure - threw Blake out of her home at Hadley Wood, North London, and allegedly threatened to "punch his lights out".
A source said: "Mitch hates the fact he's reappeared - it's making him ill. It'll force him into an early grave.
"Blake begged Mitch not to hit him when he chucked him out. Mitch was absolutely furious, he still is.
"He can't believe Blake has wormed his way back into his daughter's life."
Back To Black singer Amy's night with Blake was the first meeting between the pair in 14 months.
Our source said: "He thinks it's the worst scenario for Amy. Just when she's starting to sort herself out, the man responsible for dragging her into the gutter is crawling back into her life. Mitch is praying history doesn't repeat itself.
"He is dreading the day he finds his daughter is back on hard drugs because of him. He's worried sick."
Mitch featured on Sky documentary Saving Amy last month. In the show, he said the pair "would kill each other if they got back together".
Amy and Blake wed in secret in Miami in 2007 and divorced last month.
Blake has been in a rehab centre at Sheffield battling his addiction to heroin and other Class A substances.

Kate Moss stormed out of the GQ Awards in London on Tuesday night.
It is thought the supermodel was upset about a risque joke made by presenter James Nesbitt.
She left declaring she would never return.
A host of people including boyfriend Jamie Hince tried to calm her down while she hid backstage.
It all kicked off after she presented pal Lily Allen with her award for Woman of the Year.
Here's a video of her interrupting Dizzee Rascal's interview whilst 'storming out'...
LMAO at Dizzee.
I can't seem to find the video of her actually screaming obscenities at someone and storming off declaring she would "never come back to these awards" that they keep showing on tv this morning.
Lots of win in this film: Bateman, McBride, J.K. Simmons. I can't wait to see it!

Cheryl Cole ‘Fights With Husband Over Simon Cowell’
Cheryl Cole has come to blows with husband Ashley Cole — and it’s all because of her close relationship with fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell, it has been claimed.
The couple’s three-year marriage is in trouble as the Chelsea soccer star feels “out in the cold and jealous” of the time Cole spends with the millionaire music mogul while filming for the latest series of the UK TV talent competition.
“When the papers were writing about how well they got on during last year’s show, Ashley saw the funny side and thought it was sweet Cheryl was in awe of Simon,” a source said. “Now the series is back and they’re working together again, he is growing irritated again, he is growing irritated by what he sees as her over-reliance on him.
“He likes Simon and can see why people value what he thinks about the music business and TV, but it is grating on him that Cheryl won’t do anything without seeking Simon’s opinion first.”
Is there trouble in paradise? Or will Cheryl & Ashely fight for this love?

Last last week, actress Maia Campbell was ridiculed after a video of her sitting in a car circulated the internet. Some sites contributed her odd behavior to drugs while others claimed she suffered from schizophrenia. A friend of her mother Bebe Moore Campbell reached out to the website Black Web 2.0 and revealed that Maia had actually been diagnosed with bi-polar/manic depression and since substance abuse is involved, she has symptons that are similar to schizophrenia. She also revealed that your prayers have worked as Maia Campbell is currently in treatment:
Maia is in treatment. And she said that there is hope for Maia’s recovery but the prayers of “50,000,000″ people can make the difference, because Maia doesn’t like to stay in treatment, and her treatment involves drug withdrawal as well as treatment for her disorders. She asked me to tell you that Maia’s disorders are exasperated and sent out of control by substance abuse. Pre-existing and early onset bi-polar, clinical depression and schizophrenia can be sent out of control by marijuana (the worst culprit), alcohol and of course, synthetic and street drugs. Maintain your hope for Maia’s recovery. Nancy said, “She can use her beauty, talent, and celebrity for the good of others.”
The-Dream and Christina Milian are officially making sweet music together. The pair were married in Las Vegas over the Labor Day weekend, MTV News has confirmed.
"It was the first of three ceremonies," a source close to The-Dream revealed exclusively to MTV News on Tuesday (September 8).
According to the source, The-Dream and Milian are set to get hitched yet again overseas in Rome very shortly. Then the singers will renew their vows Stateside on their first wedding anniversary in front of family and friends who won't be able to make the trip to Italy. TMZ reported the couple wed on Friday, September 4.
The report indicated the Grammy-winning songwriter and Milian rented their formal attire, a tuxedo for him and a dress for her. But the source close to The-Dream shot down the information, calling it 100 percent false. Instead the now-married entertainers were dressed appropriately for the occasion, they said.
The-Dream and Milian first turned heads earlier this year in January when the Cuban star appeared alongside the Atlanta native at a listening session for his sophomore album. Later that same night they appeared very comfortable with each other at a birthday celebration for a Def Jam Records executive in Manhattan. When pressed about the relationship the next day, The-Dream denied the budding romance to MTV News, saying it was a business union; he signed her to his label imprint in a partnership with Interscope Records.
"Yeah, it's a new Radio Killa thing that we have," he coyly said at the time. "Um, actually, what happened was, I think about a month ago, I think I sat with her. It was one of these things where you try to grow an artist, you can either grow them from the ground or you can come in and say, 'This artist needs this, that's all.' And that part of me I have, which is what she didn't have."
The singers' whirlwind relationship caught the rapt attention of the blogoshpere, as pictures of the couple have appeared online almost daily. They also graced the cover of the final issue of Vibe magazine. Although the pairing was labeled a publicity stunt, the source, who attended the Las Vegas ceremony, said The-Dream and Milian are the real thing.
"Anyone can tell just by looking at them together," the source said.
Tila Tequila is firing back after San Diego Chargers' linebacker Shawne Merriman dismissed reports that he assaulted the MTV reality star.
On Monday, his lawyer denied claims that he "choked" Tila Tequila (real name: Tila Nguyen), 27, and tried to prevent her from leaving his San Diego-area home this past weekend. His lawyer insisted Merriman, 25, was only trying to keep an "extremely intoxicated" Tila Tequila safe.
But in a statement last Tuesday, her attorney Alan Gutman slammed the NFL star's "fantastic story."
"Shawne Merriman and his advisors have decided that the best defense is a good offense, attacking Tila Tequila in the press with a lot of calculated spin to cover up his illegal and indefensible actions," the statement began.
"Fortunately, we as a society will not tolerate a 6-foot-4-inch, 270-pound all-pro NFL linebacker physically assaulting a young lady who is 4 feet, 11 inches and 93 pounds. It is never justifiable to brutally assault, choke, strike and imprison a woman.
"Once the truth is fully revealed, Mr. Merriman's fantastic story of how he was trying to keep Ms. Tequila safe will be completely discredited," the statement concluded. "No one, especially a woman, should ever have to endure what Mr. Merriman did to Tila Tequila."

Not one to be content with her burgeoning leggings and self-tanner businesses — not to mention her acting career — Lindsay Lohan is joining Emanuel Ungaro as “artistic adviser” alongside a new chief designer Estrella Archs, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Lohan tells WWD that her vision is to take Ungaro to a “younger place” with a harder fashion edge. “When I’m involved in a project, I give my all to it,” she tells WWD. “I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that’s so expressive in so many ways…To be in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand.” So then, what exactly does “Artistic Advisor” entail? Lohan describes her position to WWD as that she “kind of oversees everything [Archs] does, while working with her. Different generations have different ideas.” But don’t expect Hollywood excess. “Every woman wants to be sexy — without being too much,” she explains. “I want it to be simple and easy. I really think less is more — and you can add on more with accessories.” Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro’s chief executive officer, is thrilled about the level of publicity that Lindsay can bring to the venerable French design house, which counts stars like Eva Longoria Parker and Rachel McAdams among its current clientele. He tells WWD, “Everything we’re going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big.” Rumor has it that Lohan will take her first runway bow alongside Archs at the brand’s October 4 show during Paris Fashion Week.

(People.com) -- His hand still bandaged from a motoring accident last month, George Clooney was spotted arriving in Venice Monday sporting something that's all the rage in Italian trends -- TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis.
The day before the premiere of his movie, "Men Who Stare at Goats," the couple -- who landed at Venice's Lido Nicelli Airfield Monday evening -- made a grand arrival at the Venice Film Festival following a water taxi ride across the city's lagoon, prompting Italian papers to gush over the pair as the next Brad and Angelina.
Clooney, 48, and the woman better known to local media as "La Canalis" or simply "Eli" have been inseparable the past three weeks, spending much of their time at his lakeside village in Como.
Most of their meals are taken at home, with Clooney's cook firing up homemade pizzas in a wood-fire oven and much of their free time spent lounging by the pool in his secluded garden or on Clooney's boat.
On the two rare occasions where she's been seen without the handsome actor on her arm, Eli went shopping in Milan and had her locks trimmed, and went to the Milan headquarters of Italian MTV, where she works as the host of "Total Request Live" and will present MTV Day 2009 in Genoa on Sept. 12 -- coincidentally, her birthday.
Clooney was introduced to his new amore in Rome, but apparently carried a torch for Eli even while still dating Sarah Larson -- the first girlfriend to accompany him to the Oscars.
According to actor Alessandro Siani, who costarred with Canalis in a 2006 Italian movie called "Christmas in New York," a mysterious car would follow Siani and Eli every day after filming, when Siani accompanied her back to the hotel where they were staying.
"One day I finally decided to go over and confront the occupants of the car. I went over and to my surprise, who was sitting in the car? George Clooney!" Siani told an Italian magazine. "This isn't a new fling."

Megan Fox promises she'll never be involved in a sex tape scandal.
She'll never make one.
"Ugh, never!" the Jennifer's Body star, 23, tells MTV News. "That's the last thing I want to see — what I look like having sex. It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex."
She won't doff her duds for a flick, either.
"I can't ever imagine myself doing nudity in a film," she says. "It lives forever, especially now, with the Internet. I just can't. I just can't."
She says she's still miffed after 2008 photos that surfaced of her wearing flesh-colored underwear on the Jennifer's Body set.
"People take everything from you when you're in this business. Your anonymity is stripped from you," she says. "They invade every part of your personal life, your relationships. Everything you say gets judged, everything you do gets judged. Literally all I have left are my private parts and I don't want to also share them with the world. I'd like to keep them private. That's why they're called that!"
The iconic pop star and loyal sister emerges stronger than ever, ready to embrace her new reality and share memories of her brother.

Janet Jackson hasn't watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death -- who did it, what did it. "It will drive you crazy," she says. "People can have rhinoceros skin, but there's a point when something's going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven't watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How's Obama doing? I haven't read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member."
The last time Janet saw Michael was on May 14, two days before her 43rd birthday. It was a family celebration, the Jackson kids were running around, and she and her big brother hung out, ate Thai food, and tormented each other. "We had so much fun that day," she says, her soft voice almost inaudible. "We kept calling each other after and saying how great it was."

Melanie Griffith's recent admission to a rehab clinic isn't something husband Antonio Banderas is going to sweep under the rug.
"It's not a rumor, but let me explain to you," Banderas, 49, tells Ellen DeGeneres in an interview to air on Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
"It was said actually in some magazine that I said that I gave an ultimatum to my wife. That I present the matter of divorce because she has been involved in addictions and blah, blah, blah," says the actor. "Melanie has been addicted for many years and we always came out. We said it out loud. It was okay, we were never embarrassed of the situation but what happened she was clean and sober for six years."
But six years of clean living was endangered after Griffith, 52, had a skiing accident in Aspen, Co., a year and a half ago. Three operations in her knee required her to use narcotics – and come face-to-face with her demons again.
"In March, she came to me and said, 'I'm feeling a little bit weak in my determination for this ... so I just thought to go to rehabilitation by myself,' " Banderas said. "So the whole entire family is supporting her, and I am supporting her, and at this particular time more than ever. I'm very proud of her."
More than that, the entire family is actively participating in Griffith's rehab program.
"We have been following some type of therapy with other families," he said. "There are a number of invisible heroes working in AA all around the world. I just say to families, 'Don't get embarrassed, just confront this problem head-on. And don't hide from that because there is a beautiful gift at the end of this tunnel, and it is the person that you love back, and that is what I am searching for.' "
He added, "I am very proud of my wife."
Well said, Antonio.

Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who plays the lusty King Henry VIII in “The Tudors,” insists that having sex with about 20 people is “not so much.”
While speaking about his “Tudors” character to Showbiz Spy, the Dubliner noted that over course of the Showtime series’ run, King Henry has slept with around 22 people.
"Which is not bad, because if I go out in London on a Saturday night and I say to some handsome young dude or some handsome young girl that's standing in the club, 'How many people have you slept with this year?' [They'd say], 'Er, about 50'," Rhys Meyers said.
“So it's not so much.”
The handsome Irish actor and model went on to say that the real Henry VIII was more “prudish,” but that “Sex happened and sex was very much a matter of state then.”
Rhys Meyers also revealed that he thought the idea of him playing the infamous monarch was “ridiculous” at first.
"Then I understood what they wanted," he said. "They wanted to bring a sense of history to a much younger generation."
(Apologies to those last two films if they end up being big hits, thereby ruining my analogy.)
The question a few Oscar insiders have been asking lately, though, is this: What’s it going to take for the plan to achieve what the Academy wants it to achieve? Will the average voter behave differently when filling ten spots instead of five, or will he (or she) continue voting with the same mindset that has led to almost two decades of little movies competing for the big prize?
For years, we’ve seen the best picture race heavy with small, artsy films released by the studios’ specialty divisions. There’s a very good reason for this – after all, those films are for the most part considerably better than the big commercial movies released by the parent companies.
But it’s not like the major studios have suddenly gotten into the Oscar Movie business to capitalize on the new rule. So some Oscar watchers have suggested that it may well take a conscious effort for voters to use those extra five slots to expand their reach into a more varied and commercial realm. And if they don’t, we may well end up with five more of the same kind of nominations that led to this move in the first place.
So will they? Only the voters know … and they might not even really know what’ll happen once they’re faced with that new ballot with ten blank lines.

AVENUE Q welcomed Jonas Brothers band member Kevin Jonas and his fiance Danielle Deleasa backstage after a recent performance and BroadwayWorld.com brings you the photo of the visit.
AVENUE Q marked its 6th anniversary on Broadway on July 31st. The musical began previews on Broadway on July 11, 2003, opened on July 31, 2003, and went on to win three 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book of a Musical.
Season two of 90210 opened with 2.56 million viewers (#5) and a fourth-place 1.3 rating/4 share among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. One year earlier, the 90210 remake debuted with 4.65 million viewers and a 2.6/ 7 in the demo on Sept. 2, 2008. On the year-ago evening, it scored 3.23 million viewers and a 1.7/ 5 among adults 18-49 (on Sept. 9, 2008). Do the math, and last night’s performance dipped by 2.09 million viewers and 50 percent among adults 18-49 from the series-premiere, and 670,000 viewers and 24 percent in the demo from the year-ago performance. Yes…that is severe.
90210 led into the series-premiere of Melrose Place at an also disappointing (and last-place) 2.27 million viewers and a 1.3/ 4 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. One year earlier former failed occupant Privileged kicked-off with a similar 2.64 million viewers and a 1.2/ 3 in the demo (on Sept. 9, 2008). While I always say you cannot judge any show by one night of ratings, this is not positive for The CW.
Wow, that's really pathetic. You'd think more people would have tuned into MP out of curiosity alone. The ratings will probably only drop more each week.
Two things there's just no end to: Twilight Mania, and the market for porn parodies. Aha! There's an idea! On October 15, 2009, Devil's Film will release This Isn't Twilight: The XXX Parody, starring Jenna Haze. It's actually the second Twilight porn parody I'm aware of: In May I reported on the release of the Twilight of Virginity porn spoof from adult film company French Connection. But this one is much higher-profile: Jenna Haze, cast in the role of a pornified Bella for this parody, won Female Performer of the Year at the 2009 AVN Awards Show, the 2009 XBIZ Awards, and the 2009 XRCO (X-Rated Critics Organization) Awards Show, and is one of the biggest names in porn. The film comes out just in time for Halloween, and one month in advance of the Twilight sequel New Moon. No word yet on whether Devil's FIlm will be doing any cross-promotion with Tantus, maker of the "Vamp", the (unofficially) Twilight-inspired sparkly dildo.

For the record -- Dina earned the title from our readers, who overwhelmingly agreed that her decision to drive her substance abusing daughter Lindsay to a Hollywood BAR -- months after she finished up a stint at REHAB -- was one of the worst parenting moves of all time.
After the incident, more than 70,000 people voted Dina the "Worst Mother Ever" ... but that was soooo 5 months ago.

To prepare you for the joyous biannual occasion that is the America's Next Top Model cycle premiere, I've assembled a video montage of an ANTM premiere hallmark: worshipful fawning over Tyra Banks. I know it's Beatles Day and all, but really, those half-dead mop tops have nothing on her panty-sopping properties. Sorry guys, Tyramania > Beatlesmania. And she deserves it -- she works so hard day and night to innovate facial contortions, contradict herself, create arbitrary rules and to insert herself into any relayed story and/or situation. It's a triumph of the human spirit, really: if you're frustrated that the world doesn't revolve around you, well, create one that does. That is chiefly what ANTM is. (But lo! She's branching out, thank god, since I've been agonizing over the fact that besides smiling with my eyes and extending my neck, I have no real clue on how to live my life. This should be helpful.)
As always, I'll post weekly ANTM recaps on Mondays, although I may post the premiere's on Tuesday, since I'll probably want to write about the VMAs. You'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. Aren't you glad I'm bringing suspense back to your life?
(Oh, and the montage above was inspired by one that Tracie cut featuring all the screaming in the Cycle 10 premiere. You should watch it again. It's worth cherishing.)
The video for Bodies is directed by Vaughan Arnell, acclaimed director of classic Robbie videos including Angels, Feel, Let Me Entertain You, Millennium, Radio, Rock DJ, Somethin' Stupid and Supreme. Wow!
OMG I'm so happy he's back! & I love the video :Q__________

Kate began spilling her heart out about the couple's problems, while Jon chose to explore the party scene. He was photographed on yachts, living it up as his marriage fell apart.
In a recent People magazine article, Kate jokingly blamed an alien abduction for Jon's transformation from a computer technician into a rock 'n' roll jet-setter.
Now, Jon has told ABC News in an exclusive interview that the headlines have been unfair. Magazine cover stories bashing him and praising Kate, he said, were both off-base and beside the point.

Team Darlton is on the prowl for a Caucasian actor between the age of 12 and 14 to play...
Teenage Boy: Sporting dirty blond hair and intense searching eyes, he’s wise beyond his years. He finds himself having to deal with a horrible family accident. Recurring.
Doc Jensen’s take: “Dude, I only have one word for you — Sawyer!"
Dude, no, Sawyer's family issues are anything but an accident. I hope it's Aaron. Or Jacob, because I'm in love with him. Thoughts? (There was no pic with the article, so I just found this one. ;) )
Personally, we think he likes her because she reminds him of his mother. what do you think?
There's some seriously unfunny stuff happening over at Saturday Night Live. First up, just like last year, they've added two pretty white chicks to the mostly white cast.
These gals might be deserving, but there are plenty of hilarious black and Asian and nonwhite comedians out there who would give the show more diversity. Not to mention, casting a black actress might mean they wouldn't have to keep flying in former castmember Maya Rudolph to play Michelle Obama these next four to eight years.
Producers made room for these two predictably attractive babes by firing Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins. Watkins has been vocal, and pretty cheerful, about her exit from SNL, but Casey's been completely quiet on the matter.
Could it be because of the totally bitchy and sexist way in which she was ousted from the sketch show?
Our inside comedy sources tell us SNL producers told the curvy Casey to lose 30 pounds during the show's summer hiatus. They pretty much demanded it. And whether Wilson just couldn't drop the weight or she just only wanted to give her middle finger some exercise, she didn't drop a damn pound. And that's when she was axed, we're told.

In hopes of taking advantage of the never-ending Twilight frenzy, HarperCollins decided to design a new cover for its paperback editions of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights that’s inspired by the teen vamp franchise (as noted by Ron Hogan at the books blog Galleycat). Why, you ask? As all Twilight fans know, Brontë’s classic novel is Bella and Edward’s favorite book (duh!). Don’t believe me? Well, just look at the new cover, branded with the sure-to-pull-in-young-readers slogan, “Bella & Edward’s Favorite Book” (as well as the Team Edward appropriate tagline, “Love never dies”).
Though most people taking a first glance at the new cover might be overwhelmed with images of Brontë rolling in her grave, I can’t completely dismiss it. I’m always in support of corporate decisions that encourage young readers to pick up the classics, even if said decisions are likely inspired by moolah. And at least the U.S. cover is better than the U.K.’s (the middle one above), which features a font that I probably used while designing posters in seventh grade.
This is semi-oldish, but I didn't see it posted. Actually, it fits--B&E's relationship is about as healthy as Cathy and Heathcliff's was. (And they have the same favorite book?! BARF.)

The settlement with the heirs of J.R.R. Tolkien clears the way for two planned films of 'The Hobbit.'
Clearing the way to move forward with its two planned films of "The Hobbit," Warner Bros. resolved a nasty legal battle with the heirs of J.R.R. Tolkien over profit from the "Lord of the Rings" films.
Last year, two of Tolkien's children, Christopher, 84, and Priscilla, 80, sued New Line, now a unit of Warner Bros., for an estimated $150 million that they claimed was owed from the three "Lord of the Rings" movies, which amassed $2.96 billion at the worldwide box office and at least $3 billion in DVD and other ancillary sales, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit, which alleged breach of contract and fraud, claimed that the heirs had not received any money under a preexisting licensing agreement that guaranteed them 7.5% of the films' gross receipts (money that movie distributors receive after theaters keep their share of ticket sales). The rights to Tolkien's work, originally sold to United Artists in 1969, ultimately ended up with New Line.
However, just days after the lawsuit was filed in February 2008 in Los Angeles County Superior Court by the Tolkien heirs and co-plaintiff HarperCollins Publishers, New Line became a division of Warner Bros., ceasing to operate as a separate studio under corporate parent Time Warner Inc.
On Tuesday, the parties announced that they had settled the lawsuit but declined to disclose terms. The trustees' attorney, Bonnie Eskenazi, said her clients "feel vindicated and are entirely satisfied with the terms of the settlement."
Warner Bros. President Alan Horn said his studio was "pleased to put this litigation behind us" and "we all look forward to a mutually productive and beneficial relationship in the future."
The lawsuit, which sought to terminate New Line's rights to all of Tolkien's works including "The Hobbit" until the claims were resolved, was settled in the nick of time. Not only were the plaintiffs scheduled to go to trial Oct. 19, but the two "Hobbit" movies are slated to go into production next year with director Guillermo del Toro and producer Peter Jackson.
In late July, Jackson was served with a deposition subpoena as he was announcing the imminent completion of the "Hobbit" script at pop-culture festival Comic-Con. It was not the first time the filmmaker had been involved in litigation surrounding the Tolkien properties.
In 2005, Jackson himself sued New Line, claiming he had been underpaid as much as $100 million. Producer Saul Zaentz also sued New Line twice. Those lawsuits were ultimately settled.
Each of the litigants criticized New Line's refusal to let them independently audit all the movies. During the course of the Tolkien trustee litigation, the family was allowed to audit the second and third films, which it had been barred previously from doing.
"We really were able to detail all the accounting improprieties that we saw," Eskenazi said. "We were set, ready, and very excited to go to trial."
She said a "significant portion" of the settlement will go to the London-based Tolkien Trust, which distributes money to charities such as Save the Children and UNICEF.
"The beneficiaries of this settlement will be needy people literally all over the world," Eskenazi said.
Keillor suffered the stroke Sunday morning and was admitted to Saint Marys Hospital at Mayo Clinic that night, said Karl Oestreich, a Mayo spokesman.
"He is up and moving around, speaking sensibly, working at a laptop, and it's expected he'll be released on Friday," Oestreich said in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press. "He plans to resume a normal schedule next week."
A representative for Keillor didn't immediately comment.
Keillor, 67, underwent surgery to repair a heart valve at the Mayo Clinic in 2001.
He is scheduled to open the new season of "A Prairie Home Companion" on Sept. 26 from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul.
Keillor celebrated "Prairie Home's" 35th anniversary with a Fourth of July performance before some 10,000 people in Avon, a central Minnesota town that helped inspire his fictional hometown of Lake Wobegon. He performed last Friday night at the Minnesota State Fair.
The hits just keep on coming for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and the latest performance announcement is a huge one: Janet Jackson will be performing a tribute to her late brother Michael, who passed away back in June. In fact, Janet's tribute will open Sunday night's show, which is fitting considering Michael was responsible for one of the greatest opening segments in Video Music Awards history, when in 1995 he performed a medley of some of his biggest hits (which included a guest guitar solo by Velvet Revolver axeman Slash) before scoring three Moonmen for his video for "Scream" (his one and only collaboration with sister Janet). It's still unclear what songs will be included in Janet's tribute to her brother, but considering it's the Video Music Awards and Michael was such a huge icon in the music video universe, it's easy to assume it will incorporate some of his bigger video moments (it would be shocking if it didn't include at least a portion of the "Thriller" dance). Janet, a nine-time Moonman winner herself (including a Video Vanguard prize and two wins for Best Female Video), is no stranger to the VMA stage herself, having performed three times previously and was last on the show in 2000 at Radio City Music Hall (where she performed "Doesn't Really Matter"). The performance has even spawned the excellent promo below, which plugs the performance using a very unusual form of weather that may or may not afflict the New York City area this Sunday night.
Mods, I can't figure out why there's so much space between the video and the text!

In a sensational twist on “stunt” casting, "One Life to Live" actor Scott Evans' real-life mom, Lisa Evans, was cast as his character’s straitlaced, uptight mom ... a far cry from Lisa and her liberal views. In this interview, Scott and Lisa Evans open up about their real-life mother-son relationship and Scott’s difficulties with coming out to his family, including his brother, movie heartthrob Chris Evans. The two also preview their upcoming heart-tugging emotional scenes. Lisa is known to most of Scott’s friends as “Mom,” so she me let call her just that during our interview. The following is a must-read for all mothers and their gay sons.
Mom, how did you end up playing the role of Barbara Fish?
LISA: I was visiting New York with some girlfriends and Scott invited me to see the One Life to Live studio where he worked. We also have another close family friend who worked on the show, and he was working that day, also. So I went up to the executive producer, Frank Valentini, who happened to be there that day and we talked for a little bit. A few days later Scott called me and told me that the executive producer called him to ask if I wanted to do the show! And it was that simple.
Had you acted before?
LISA: I acted in college and in high school, and I run a children’s theater now.
Scott, how was it having Mom on the set?
SCOTT: Once we were on the set, it was fantastic. The days leading up to it, I was panicking with excitement and my nerves were going crazy. She got there and I went to her hotel room the night before and we were running lines. It was fun because we were laughing, and my mother is the polar opposite of Barbara Fish. So just hearing some of the words coming out of her mouth was pretty fantastic.

Sources employed by the M.T. "kingdom" tell TMZ that Posh brought her children -- and a couple of bodyguards -- to enjoy a feast and a medieval show at the Buena Park, CA location this past Saturday night.
But before the jousting and the sword fighting came to a close, Posh and her crew left the show early -- and multiple sources tell us she didn't leave a tip for the server who took care of the group.
And now for the "Bad Medieval-Themed Closing Line of the Day" -- Looks like getting a tip from Posh is harder than pulling a sword from a stone!

A small piece of good news for John Graziano.
The 24-year-old Iraq War veteran, permanently disabled two years ago after speed demon Nick Hogan flipped the car they were in, has finally been released from a Florida hospital.
Graziano was riding shotgun with his best pal and sustained a cracked skull and severe brain damage during the street-racing mishap. While Hogan, whose real name is Nicholas Bollea, escaped unscathed, Graziano was left bedridden, unable to communicate or move on his own due to swelling of his brain.

Per the St. Petersburg Times, VA doctors felt Graziano's condition had improved enough to allow him to be discharged. His mom, Debra, escorted the wheelchair-bound Marine to a minivan with his brother and sister, and the family left for home earlier today.

The Road just got a bit longer: The much-delayed film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer-winning post-apocalyptic sci-fi story has been bumped again, to Nov. 25 from its previous Oct. 16 release date, Dimension announced.
No reason was given for the move of John Hillcoat's movie, which stars Viggo Mortensen, but the move takes The Road out of competition with The Stepfather and Where the Wild Things Are and puts it into contention on the crowded Thanksgiving weekend opposite The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Nine, Ninja Assassin and Old Dogs.
The Road is the tale of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on Earth.
Mel B takes her own manicure set to nail salons.
The former Spice Girls singer loves treating herself to a relaxing manicure, but refuses to share nail files, buffers or polish with other people.
“She brings her own stuff so she doesn’t have to worry that any of the equipment is not sanitary,” a source said.

“George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead” is more a broad, global commentary on enmity and discrimination of every kind, Romero told reporters Wednesday after screening the film at the Venice Film Festival.
The film, Romero’s sixth in the zombie franchise, is the first horror film in competition at the Lido since the festival’s debut, when Rouben Maumolian’s “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” opened the 1932 edition, Venice artistic director Marco Mueller said.
In the movie, Romero’s flesh-eating zombies are set against the backdrop of a warring world in which two feuding families disagree on how to dispose of the dead: One clan opts to kill them off indiscriminately while the other chains them up to “keep them among us.” A band of AWOL soldiers arrive on Plum Island, off the eastern U.S. coast, hoping to find paradise but find that life there is all too similar to the war they left behind.
