Don't Forget to Vote!

Just a quick reminder to vote for ONTD today for the Best Gossip Blog! We're still pretty far ahead but D-listed is catching up to us, which is lame.

Edit: I'm feeling pretty good about our even 50% right now, but keep coming back to vote just in case... We don't just want to win, we want to DOMINATE. We haven't won since 2005 and we all know we're the best. :)

Ann Coulter on her rescheduled Today Show interview...

Conservative Queen Anne Coulter made an appearance this morning on the Today Show after NBC dropped her from Tuesday’s line up, which the Drudge Report called an attempt to boycott Coulter and her new book.

[Eli Porter pause]

In her new book, Guilty: Liberal ‘Victims’ and their Assault on America, she goes in on Michelle Obama accusing the future First Lady of jacking Jackie O’s [not the rapper, ahem, 90's babies] style.

Singling out the President-elect’s wife, Coulter wrote, “Her obvious imitation of Jackie O’s style - the flipped-under hair, the sleeveless A-line dresses, the short strands of fake pearls - would have been laughable if done by anyone other than a media-designated saint.”

Coulter said Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, “dressed well without freakishly imitating famous First Ladies in history.”

The author goes on to sarcastically refer to Michelle Obama as a “saint” and “Mother Teresa” and suggests that her public service career “advanced in lockstep with the political advancement of her husband.”

Meanwhile, Coulter repeatedly refers to the President-elect as “B. Hussein Obama” and complains that the media “literally wanted to have sex with him.”

*sry no cut cause I know im gunna fuck it up somehow

please bitch away.
I have the need of laughter and I love the ONTD hate for her

Do you remember... THE CRAFT?

About twelve and a half years ago, one of the greatest films of all time was released. It is called The Craft, and it's basically Clueless, only Cher hates black people and so Dionne decides to become a witch and makes all of Cher's hair fall out in revenge. Oh, and then Tai goes nuts and kills everyone.

Or, like Wikipedia says: "The Craft is a 1996 supernatural teen horror film directed by Andrew Fleming and starring Robin Tunney, Rachel True, Fairuza Balk and Neve Campbell. The film's plot centers on a group of four teenage girls who pursue witchcraft and use it for their own gain, and how this changes their friendship."

Puffing away on a post party cigarette, Lily Allen was seen leaving The Groucho Club in London last night wearing a leopard print coat and funky green boots.

Also notable? The diamond ring on the songbird’s left hand.

Did her recent romantic Caribbean getaway incite an engagement between her and boyfriend Jay Jopling? Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, Lily is opening up about her confusion surrounding religion.

The Fear singer was raised in a Catholic school and taught that homosexuality, adultery and drug use were sins — a true contradicion of her surroundings as a youth.

“I’m confused by religion,” says Lily. “I was brought up in a Catholic school and they told me gays were bad, adultery was bad and drugs were bad. At the same time, all my mum’s friends were gay, my dad was having various affairs and there were drugs in the house when I was a kid – so it was a bit cruel.”

She goes on to say, “Why is [BBC TV program] Songs Of Praise always Christian? Where’s the Hindu Songs Of Praise? The Islamic Songs Of Praise? We all pay our TV license! I don’t like Christianity much. Hinduism is cool. I’ll put them up near the top. But it’s too dangerous for me to rank them. I’ll get into serious trouble.”

Live from New York, it's our new favorite comedian.

Casey Wilson gave you a reason to stay home on Saturday night when she joined the cast of Saturday Night Live last year. Now, with her big-screen writing debut for the film Bride Wars, will she actually get you to laugh at the a pair of bridezillas? NYLON investigates.

How did you end up working on Bride Wars?
It’s kind of based off of my friendship with [Bride Wars co-writer] June Raphael, who I’ve been friends with for six or seven years. We first met at NYU at clown class (not gonna lie, I kind of want to go to this clown class), and then we did a two-woman show at Upright Citizens Brigade. The exec [of Bride Wars] approached us and asked if we wanted to write a movie. She said it’s about female friendships and female leads, which is exactly what we want.

Do you feel like there aren’t enough roles out there for funny women?
I think there are certainly enough comedians—Kate Hudson is a great example, she’s hilarious! She’s adorable and fun and can do what she’s been doing, but [in Bride Wars] you see her tackle a fully comedic role, in the spirit of her mom. She said it’s not that she doesn’t want to do [movies like Bride Wars], it’s just that the roles are not out there. That’s my tiny crusade, to create roles for women.

What’s your response to someone who says that women aren’t funny?
My response is to laugh, because it’s so misguided. Trying to defend it is just silly. SNL is a good example of the opposite—it’s the best. Look at all the women who have come out of SNL over the years. Being inside of it, I think the reason so many women have come out of there is because of the support from other ladies on the show.

When you first joined SNL last year, were you hazed by either the cast members or the audience?
Oh yeah, I definitely felt it from fans. They were like, “Watch your step, lady. You’re not there yet.”
They’re used to their regular players. The cast didn’t haze me, but I guess I haven’t met any of them, they don’t actually speak to me [laughs]. No, they’re great. If anything, they’re more open to me.

Who are some of your favorite comedians right now?
I think there’s a bunch of girls from Upright Citizens Brigade who are amazing, like Jessica St. Clair and Ronna and Bev, these two Jewish mothers.

Do you prefer impersonating someone or creating a character?
Impersonating people is really fun, because all of the work is already done for you. I’m not the best mimic in the world, but I’ve been doing it since I was kid. With creating your own character, there’s no right or wrong. I’ll usually base it off someone I met.

Who, then, is your favorite person to impersonate?
I love to do Jennifer Aniston. I just love her voice, and it comes from being such a huge fan of hers. I used to be so obsessed with her and realized I could do her voice. It’s a tribute, I hope she sees it as that…

Nylon sends emails every so often, and they had a link to this article in the body of it. It mentioned something about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler specifically choosing her to replace them, but who knows how true that is.

Britney Spears has been skipping rehearsals for her upcoming Circus world tour, it has been claimed.

The Toxic singer reportedly feels she is "not as good as she used to be" - so is refusing to practice her dance routines.

Spears, 27, is said to be against dancing in front of her old choreographer Wade Robson.

The source added, "She didn't want him to see that she is not as good as she used to be."

Spears - who is currently under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie - announced on US TV show Good Morning America last year that her concert tour would begin in New Orleans on March 3, 2009.

I was reading PageSix and spotted this gem:

We hear that...

Artist Alex Gardega is painting a nude, 6-foot portrait of "charming and sexy" Rachael Ray and using paprika mixed with oils for the TV chef's skin tones.

And here's a web site for the artist: http://www.gardega.com/ (and a blog entry discussing paprika). Would be interesting if this is really true.

More Info About the Fantastic Mr. Fox Starring Fierce Bitches

Wes Anderson's adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Fantastic Mr. Fox has a release date: November 6th, 2009.

"It’s a great year for Hollywood to reach out to the child inside all of us, and Wes Anderson is joining us on the playground by adapting Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’ll be his first animated feature, but he’s bringing along the usual suspects that seem contractually obligated to appear in every project he does. The story is simple - three farmers square off against a clever fox who steals their poultry every night to feed his family. It may not be the most well-known Dahl book, but I’m looking forward to seeing what Anderson and company can do with stop motion animation and a light-hearted children’s story."

It will debut at this year's Slamdance competition, and hopefully, later this year in theatres everywhere.

Fergie's Bachelorette Party

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Fergie celebrated her final days of singlehood on Wednesday night.

Joined by her fiance Josh Duhamel, the bride-to-be was seen arriving to her bachelorette party at the Dakota Bar in Santa Monica, CA yesterday.

With just a couple of days to go until they’re set to wed, the loved up couple opted to celebrate together what is typically a solo rite of passage amongst friends.

Meanwhile, we have a few more deets on Fergie and Josh’s January 10 nuptials. Sources tell FYB that the bride’s dress is designed by Dolce & Gabbana. Invitees include Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Kate Hudson, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

As for the location? It’s super hush-hush. In fact, not even their celeb pals know where the ceremony is going to be!

Lily Allen in The Word magazine, January 2009

Mods, this is the entire article of which people have posted various quotes from over the past two days. She also talks about having dinner with Mick Jagger, religious issues and Terra Firma/EMI.

Money? Drugs? Trousers? What did Lily Allen and Mick Jagger discuss over dinner?
Posted by Rob Fitzpatrick on 7 January 2009 - 11:29am.

Here is the news. Lily Allen is not only blindingly attractive but she's extremely funny, quite posh, likes smoking fags, laughs like a madwoman and these days, rarely drinks anything more intoxicating than Coca-Cola. If I were 15 years younger, wealthier, two stone lighter and significantly more alluring than I actually am, I still wouldn't have a chance – and I find that strangely comforting.

Utada's "Heart Station" sells its millionth

Singer Hikaru Utada may have ended last year with a blog entry revealing that she had hurt her cheek after a fall at home, but she at least has some good news to start off 2009. According to Oricon's sales data, her 5th album, "HEART STATION," has now reached 1 million in actual sales.

"HEART STATION," released in March 2008, was #5 overall on the 2008 sales charts, just a couple thousand copies short of the million mark.

So far, 1.19 million copies of "HEART STATION" have been shipped out to stores.

TEH Boss on Rolling Stones

The E Street Band Keep Rolling in '09

Inside the making of Springsteen's new 'Working on a Dream'

Just after Bruce Springsteen wrapped up recording 2007's Magic, the E Street Band headed back to the studio to shoot a video — but Springsteen had bigger plans for the group. "Bruce said, 'I've got a new group of songs, and everyone's gonna be in one place,' " recalls Magic producer Brendan O'Brien. "He said, 'Let's get together while we're there and get them done.'"

Those songs — and others cut in New York and L.A. during breaks from the Magic tour — became Springsteen's 16th studio album, Working on a Dream, due January 27th. "I hope Working on a Dream has caught the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we've ever done," Springsteen said in a statement announcing the new album. "A lot of stuff was done on the fly," O'Brien confirms. "We would hear things and go, 'That would sound great, let's try that.' There wasn't a lot of dwelling."

But Working on a Dream is also an intricately arranged album, combining the dense whirl of E Street stage shows with orchestral and vocal flourishes that recall classic recordings by Roy Orbison and the Byrds. "My Lucky Day," one of the first songs cut for the album, is a burst of garage-guitar clatter with huge Sixties-pop vocal harmonies, and the dark, psychedelic swirl of "Life Itself" includes a backward guitar break by Nils Lofgren. "What Love Can Do" and "Surprise, Surprise" are both pop stomps loaded with Beatlesque guitar jangle, and "This Life" is draped in 1966-Beach Boys vocal harmonies. Ironically, "Tomorrow Never Knows" is not the Beatles' Revolver song but a Springsteen original outfitted with fiddle, strings and pedal steel guitar à la Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline.

"Bruce was into this material being more orchestral, not just capturing a live feel," O'Brien says, "and that takes different sounds, orchestrations and vocal presentations." No song captures that ambition better than the eight-minute opening track, "Outlaw Pete," a gunfighter saga with changing time signatures, a driving Steven Van Zandt guitar riff and dramatic interjections of tubular bell, marxophone (an antique keyboard instrument that sounds like a hammer dulcimer) and Springsteen's "Thunder Road"-style harmonica. The combined effect is like a Pete Seeger ballad scored by Sergio Leone. "It is a beast of music," O'Brien concedes. "We actually cut it in pieces, one step at a time. In Bruce's mind, it was 'Let's make every moment as interesting as we can.'"

Sessions continued through this fall when, during mixing, Springsteen brought in the moving finale, "The Last Carnival," a tribute to E Street keyboard player Danny Federici, who played on a few songs on the album before his death last April. (Federici's son, Jason, plays accordion on "The Last Carnival," which is followed by a bonus track, Springsteen's Golden Globe-nominated title song for The Wrestler.)

Springsteen and the E Street Band will tour behind the new album, following their Super Bowl halftime set on February 1st. A source says the tour will not be "a total marathon," probably 50 to 60 shows divided between the U.S. and Europe. One idea under consideration is a miniset each night devoted to a full performance of one of Springsteen's classic albums — "a way of addressing the past," the source says.

In the meantime, Springsteen has songs left over that could be the start of another album. "But you have to remember," O'Brien says, "when Bruce calls, it's not 'Oh, I gotta crank up for an album.' It's 'Hey, man, I've got some songs. What are you doing? Let's record.' Sometimes it's hard to tell when one record stops and another one starts."

Robert Pattinson Steals Zac Efron's Hairspray Thunder

Casting rumors are running amok today. First Robert Pattinson is rumored to be stealing the thunder of Zac Efron in “Hairspray 2: White Lipstick.”

R. Patz Sparklepants is a favorite of the film’s director, Adam Shankman. Pattinson is a favorite among most directors theses days. He is like catnip for women and pulls a growing fan base whose loyalty boarders insanity.

The second installment of the musical will feature a more risqué plot that delves into the 1960’s and even possibly feature Zac Efron’s character doing acid. John Travolta’s character, Edna, will also get hooked on diet pills. Vietnam is also being worked into the plot. As for the villain? That is my guess as to where Robert will come in. Michelle Pfeiffer is said to not be returning and Brittany snow’s involvement is still up in the air.

Adam Shankman:

“It’s crazy. [The treatment] is amazing, but it’s crazy. There are things in there that I was like ‘Can we do that?’ It’s real John Waters-y stuff, and it was more like a sequel to his movie than to our movie. Which I love, because then that becomes re-interpreted.”

Seriously. Why not just have a film of these two bitch fighting. It would be more entertaining.

NOTE- I guess I didn't make it very clear that he is NOT up for the role as Link. He is being considered for another role in the film...probably the villian. I meant he was stealing his thunder as the hottie on the film. Sorry for the confusion. No booze for 2 hours as punishment.

I Fucking Bleed Purple And Gold - Super Mash Brothers

Rumor: Supernatural adding major character

There may be some big, big things in store for the Winchester brothers coming up. But before we get there, you should know that the following information--which may or may not be true--should be considered a solid 8.5 or 9.0 on the spoiler scale. Read on at your own risk!

E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos is reporting that the producers of Supernatural may be adding a major character to the cast. Okay, that wouldn't necessarily qualify as an 8.5 or 9.0 on its own, but when you hear who it could possibly be, you'll understand.

According to E!, the potential new character will be a third Winchester brother to join Dean and Sam as the sons of John! The information of another brother will allegedly be passed on by John Winchester…which will be interesting because he's dead.

What do you guys think? Is a new Winchester a good idea or a cheap gimmick?

The Reverend Ed Bacon's response to a question from a gay man on Oprah yesterday that "being gay is a gift from God" (it's not mentioned in the show summary) has set the Oprah forum boards on fire, with so-called Christians angry at the statement.

The show, on spirituality, was broadcast as part of Oprah's "Best Life Week".

A sermon from Rev. Bacon entitled "Spiritual Practices for the Weary" which addresses marriage equality and was delivered last year at All Saints Church in Pasadena

Justin Timberlake to show clothing line at New York Fashion Week

TIMBERLAKE AT THE TENTS: William Rast, the brand backed by Justin Timberlake, will make its Bryant Park debut next month when it holds its spring show at the tents during New York Fashion Week. The show is scheduled for Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. And for those who might anticipate a concert, there won’t be one. A spokeswoman for William Rast said that while Timberlake is scheduled to be present at the show, there will be no performance. This will be the brand’s second show during fashion week in New York. The last show, in September, was held at the Roseland Ballroom when a Timberlake performance was rumored but never materialized, much to the anger of attendees.

Meanwhile, while some notable women’s designers are shying away from runway shows next month, early drafts of the fashion week calendar show a handful of men’s wear designers taking the leap from presentation to runway, or dedicating runways solely to their men’s collections for the first time. Richard Chai, Gilded Age, Antonio Azzuolo and Jurgen Oeltjenbruns are all scheduled to have men’s shows in February. Victor Glemaud is pairing up with Staerk for a single show. As reported, Calvin Klein will also hold its men’s show in New York, taking a break from the past several years in Milan.

ART WINS!!!!!! ART WINS!!!!!!!!!!
Current mood: NOTHING EVER FITS!

I think it's cool that Kanye West gets so excitable on his blog. I love the Louis Vuitton Don, and if he's up his own ass, I wanna be up there with him.

Fashion question, for those who know better than me (aka all of you): I bought three cheap polyester dresses off the street today. They are reconstructed vintage and super cute (in that cool ugly way), but WAY too short. Could I wear them with, say, shiny leggings? Will I look like I'm pretending to be 22? How about regular leggings? Is there a specific shoe one wears with leggings? lI should add that I'm 5'9, prefer to downplay my calves, and am not afraid to look a little weird.

(P.S. For once, the Snuggie is not the answer.)

EDITED TO ADD: I'm attempting to drink that new Red Bull Cola. It tastes like your mom's Christmas incense fucked a Tab. (That's not necessarily bad.) Will update later...

wait, did she just talk smack about Kanye West? I need an animated gif of Marc Jacobs now!

Blind Item: Which "Heroes" Star Wants Out?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Looks like T.R. Knight may be setting a trend.

Sources close to Heroes tell me that one of the show's stars has asked to leave the show at the end of the current season, in part because of a lack of screen time.

According to insiders, NBC has not yet decided whether this actor will be released from his or her contract; however, there is an apparent "death" planned for this season (somewhere in the last few episodes) that could wipe out this character for good.

So who is it?

Exclusive: An Open Letter From 'Watchmen' Producers

Posted by Drew McWeeny

I recently heard from Lloyd Levin, one of the producers of this year's hotly-anticipated adaptation of "Watchmen," and he wanted to get in touch regarding the ongoing conversation about the legal battle that's been raging back and forth between Warner Bros. and Fox.

There's been a lot of virtual ink spilled in the last six months about the rights and the wrongs of this lawsuit, and it all boils down to two separate agreements. There's a 1991 quitclaim that was issued by Fox, and then a 1994 turnaround agreement, and when the federal judge issues his verdict on January 20th, those are the two things he'll be considering.

But is that enough?

Does that really answer the issue?

Lloyd told me that his own feelings on the matter were complicated, and the more we spoke, the more it became apparent that he had something he really wanted to share with people, some point he needed to make in this larger conversation, and so I offered him an unfiltered venue in which to do so. The following is an open letter that Lloyd wrote regarding the "Watchmen" lawsuit and, more importantly, the 20-year-struggle to wrestle this project onto the screen.

It's provocative stuff, and I'm glad he decided to share his thoughts. For once, this isn't just empty speculation from the outside, but the opinion of someone intimately involved in the entire thing.

BARBIE and Ken are beloved by millions of children - but the people behind the world's most popular dolls were involved in unsavory sexual behavior they kept secret for years, a new book reveals.

In "Toy Monster: The Big, Bad World of Mattel," out next month, Jerry Oppenheimer reveals that Jack Ryan, the Yale-educated designer who popularized Barbie, was a "full-blown seventies-style swinger" with "a manic need for sexual gratification."

Staging orgies at his Bel-Air mansion, Ryan, whose wives included Zsa Zsa Gabor, surrounded himself with busty Barbie clones, including Gwen Florea, who was the "voice of Barbie" in a line of talking dolls. The book quotes her: "He once said to me he loved me being tall so he could stick his nose in my boobs when he hugged me."

Ryan's friend, Stephen Gnass, confides to the author: "When Jack talked about creating Barbie . . . it was like listening to somebody talk about a sexual episode, almost like listening to a sexual pervert . . ." Ryan took calls at Mattel from a madam and patronized "high-class call girls to streetwalkers," including a "very thin and child-like" hooker. The book claims that Ryan "somehow rationalized that he was the only man in her life" until he was diagnosed with gonorrhea.

Barbie and Ken were named after the kids of Mattel founders Ruth and Elliot Handler - an honor that plagued Ken, who "grew up embarrassed and humiliated by having an anatomically incorrect boy doll named after him . . . [with] no hint of genitalia."

Despite marrying and having three kids, Ken was a closeted gay, Oppenheimer says. "To all those who knew him Ken Handler was a wonderful father, a loving husband . . . But there was another side to Ken. And in 1990 he was formally diagnosed with AIDS. His parents and wife were shocked." He died in 1994 in Greenwich Village, but obits didn't mention the disease.

'Charles In Charge' Star Willie Aames Fighting Back After Suicide Try

Willie Aames is back in charge.

That's the message the "Charles in Charge" and "Eight Is Enough" star is sending now, after trying to kill himself last year on Thanksgiving Day.

"Most people [wind up in a psychiatric ward] because they'd either lost a job, a family member or relocated," Willie says a doctor told him after his suicide try. "I was there for of all those."

Aames, 48, opens up in the current issue of Star magazine about the awful series of events that led him to try to take his own life.

After he declared bankruptcy and had his car reposessed, he says his wife of 22 years left him.

Willie then moved out of their Kansas home and rented a room in Los Angeles.

"I stole a bottle of Jack Daniel's from the guy I was renting the room from," Willie tells the magazine. "I'd been sober for 20 years when I took that first drink... It got so bad, I put a knife to my throat and cut myself in six places."

Spanish Soccer Star Would Like to Show You His Pimp Ring

Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos is here to remind all you kids out there that yes, racism is cruel and unfair, but it can also be fun!

At this point, seeing a Spanish athlete in blackface just isn't that shocking. Sad, but totally par for the course. It's called the Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos, or Parade of the Three Wise Men, held all over Spain each Jan. 5 to celebrate the biblical trip to Bethlehem by Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar. And Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos really gets into the act.

From The Spoiler:
As part of their continuing quest to maintain ambivalence towards overt racism in society, Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos was invited to take part in the most recent Reyes Magos Eve procession, where he donned blackface, a turban and a pimp ring. Oh dear.

So Spain, what's wrong with you guys? Was it all the mid-20th Century fascism, or is it that your athletes are just nuts? Please get back to me.

Emma Watson: 'I Don't Want to be Really Skinny'

Emma Watson says it's "not inspirational" to be really skinny.

The British actress - who made her name playing Hermione Granger in the smash hit Harry Potter film franchise - would rather have curves than be super-slim.

She explains, "I don't think it's very pretty to be really, really, skinny. It's not inspirational at all for me. I'm lucky and I'm this size naturally.

"I don't diet and I don't aspire to be super skinny. I just don't think it's very pretty.

"Even if I wanted to be that skinny, I love food and I love cooking and I love sitting down and having nice meals, so it just wouldn't be possible for me."

New U2 album inspired by 'Jack White and Led Zeppelin'

The Edge says guitarist pals shaped 'No Line on the Horizon'

u2 Pictures, Images and Photos

U2's new album 'No Line on the Horizon' has been inspired by Led Zeppelin and Jack White, the band have claimed.

The Edge told Rolling Stone that spending time with The White Stripes leader and Jimmy Page for recent documentary 'It Might Get Loud' influenced his style.

The guitarist explained: "I was just fascinated with seeing how Jimmy played those riffs so simply, and with Jack as well."

U2 singer Bono added that the songs have also been inspired by world events, with closing album track 'Cedars Of Lebanon' seeing the singer in the role of a war correspondent.

"On this album, you can feel what is going on in the world at the window, scratching at the windowpane," he said.

U2's twelfth studio album, their first since 2004's 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb', is released on March 2.

Warrant Out for 'City' Guy's Arrest

The $100 fine that insufferable Nevan Donahue had to pay for spitting on the subway on last week's episode of MTV's "The City" is the least of his legal worries. According to the clerk at the Palm Beach Courthouse, Donahue, 28, has a warrant out for his arrest for failing to meet terms of his probation after he was busted last year for trying to pick up a prostitute. Donahue, the ostensibly straight cousin of uptown "social" Olivia Palermo, was given probation and told to complete 75 hours of community service after being arrested Feb. 27, 2007, while trying to solicit a hooker in West Palm Beach. A warrant was put out for Donahue's arrest last August after he failed to put in the hours. A rep said Donahue, the son of an art dealer, had no comment. A spokeswoman for MTV tells Page Six, "We had no knowledge of his arrest."

Until the fear in me...SUBSIIIIIIIDES

Does this image confuse you?

Well Click here to see it in motion.

Basically what it is, is a video of Verne Troyer and Ulrika Jonsson singing "Endless Love" on BBUK.

Verne and Ulrika outside the BB house

BEFORE YOU ASK (and if you ask in the post, i'll be fucking pissed and reserve the right to yell at you) Ulrika is a British celebrity personality who has had high profile relationships with many men.

Originally, the point was to make over 10,000 views within 28 hours time, and they have done so. BUT the video is still good.

Here is Verne in the BBUK Chair

And here is coolio

So um, I know saying "what" posts is fun, and I know saying "oic" is fun. But...is that really...helpful? Or productive? Or...useful? God dammit if you're going to waste time saying "lol" WHY NOT EXPAND AND SAY SOMETHING MORE. If that is all you have to SAY, then honestly, I don't know if anyone gives a shit that you don't understand something or found it amusing and choose to express it in three letters.
We mods reserve the right to bitch you out for pointless and wasteful comments. And if you have a problem with that, and yell at us for that, then you're probably not the type of people we'll be bitching at for their brevity.
OK I guess "lol" is ok, but it really is a boring comment so w/E

To end this on a high note, here is a lovely video Brenden and I thought up.

R. Kelly divorce finalized

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

R&B singer R. Kelly and his wife of 11 years, Andrea Lee Kelly, are officially divorced, according to a statement from their lawyers Thursday.

Kelly, 42, and Andrea, 35, will have joint custody of their three children. No other details were revealed.

The announcement follows Kelly's acquittal of child pornography charges in June.

The couple weathered martial ups and downs during the six-year-long case. In 2005, Andrea, filed an emergency protective order to keep the singer away from her amid claims of physical abuse which she rescinded weeks later. The couple then filed for divorce in 2006, but were still trying to make things work.

After years of silence, Andrea told Essence magazine in 2007, "Some people in my position would probably be very broken right now, and they would probably be saying, 'Woe is me.' But I'm just not that person."

The couple married in 1996, two years after the then-20-year-old Andrea had auditioned as a backup dancer for the singer/songwriter/record producer. She would go on to handle most of the choreography for his tours, videos and live performances.

Kelly, known for hit singles like "Bump N' Grind" and "I Believe I Can Fly," has sold more than 8 million albums and has had four number one albums.

Delete 10 Facebook friends, get a free Whopper!!!!1

Facebook's developer platform has been used for a zillion marketing campaigns so far, but this one is actually dead-on hilarious.

Fast-food chain Burger King has created "Whopper Sacrifice," a Facebook app that will give you a coupon for a free hamburger if you delete 10 people from your friends list.

Burger King has put out some interesting campaigns as of late ("Whopper Virgin," "Subservient Chicken"), but this one piques our interest because of how gleefully it pokes fun at our social-networking obsessions. "Now is the time to put your fair-weather Web friendships to the test," the Whopper Sacrifice site explains. "Install Whopper Sacrifice on your Facebook profile, and we'll reward you with a free flame-broiled Whopper when you sacrifice ten of your friends.

The funniest part: The "sacrifices" show up in your activity feed. So it'll say, for example, "Caroline sacrificed Josh Lowensohn for a free Whopper." Unfortunately, you can't delete your whole friends list and eat free (however unhealthily) for a week. The promotion is limited to one coupon per Facebook account.

My Facebook friends had better appreciate the fact that I made a New Year's resolution to cut out red meat. Hint, hint.

Jiah Khan kickstarts PETA campaign for birds

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bollywood starlet Jiah Khan is the latest celebrity for PETA's campaign against glass-coated kite strings, which are injurious to birds.  (http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/india_ban_manja?source=piaadvjkmanja&c=pinjkmanja)

The actress, who recently starred in blockbuster Ghajini, is dressed as a wounded bird wrapped in kite string and next to the tagline 'Cut the Glass-Coated Manja, Not Birds' in the new advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Shot by ace photographer Farrokh Chothia the new ad coincides with the festival of Makar Sankranti, which is also traditionally the time when people fly kites. With the increasing use of glass-coated manja, thousands of birds are killed or maimed by getting entangled in the manja, a spokesperson of PETA said.

Jiah Khan, who debuted in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachchan is the latest to model for the animal rights organisation. "Glass-coated manja is a public health hazard and causes an excruciating death for birds who get entangled in it," Jiah Khan said in a statement.

"We're asking participants in the Makar Sankranti contests and all kite-flying competitors to immediately stop using glass-coated manja and to conduct their sport in a way that isn't deadly to humans and wildlife," she said.

Apart from actors like Shilpa Shetty, John Abraham, Celina Jaitely and Anushka Shankar have previously worked with the organisation.

New Doctor merchandise in the works

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It didn't take long: the BBC has already confirmed that we can expect a lot of merchandise to tie into Matt Smith's Doctor...

Let’s first of all make something clear: we’re intrigued about the casting of Matt Smith as Doctor Who, and wish the bloke all the best in the role. By many accounts, he’s a good actor, and we won’t be judging him until he’s got a few episodes under his belt. That’s fair.

With that caveat in place, we can’t hide the fact that many have been speculating that having a young Doctor Who may have been influenced by the BBC’s need to keep one of its most lucrative merchandising streams live and kicking. After all, could you really have seen five year olds going to school with a picture of Bill Nighy on the side of their lunch box?

Patricia Arquette's New PETA Ad: ABC -- Animal Birth Control

As if her just-announced divorce isn’t enough coverage, Patricia Arquette will fill the pages of various magazines this week in a new ad for PETA. It’s part of PETA’s “ABC” campaign to help fight animal overpopulation.

“More than 7 million dogs and cats are turned in to U.S. animal shelters every year,” says the 40-year-old actress in a release. “Please do your part to help end companion animal overpopulation. It’s as easy as ABC—Animal Birth Control. Always spay or neuter and adopt from your local animal shelter. Never buy an animal from a breeder or a pet shop.”

Dita Von Teese, John McEnroe and Charlize Theron are among the other stars who help PETA promote spaying and neutering.
