BRITNEY: THE MOVIE? BRITNEY Spears’ mum is set to turn her controversial book about the singer’s tormented life into a movie.
Lynne is already in talks with top Hollywood studios.
Her book, Through The Storm, charts her daughter’s drink, drugs and teen-sex troubles. And Lynne, 53, reckons a movie version would be a worldwide sensation.
Sources say Scary Movie and House Bunny babe Anna Faris, 31, is tipped to star as Britney. ( Collapse )
Ironically, she played an oddball pop star in the comedy Just Friends.
Lynne has told film chiefs she wants her own role to be played by superstar Julia Roberts, 40. But the movie idea is said to be pushing her already strained relationship with her daughter to breaking point.
Britney, 26, fears a film about the more sordid incidents in her life could scupper her big comeback as she prepares for a world tour to promote new album Circus and single Womanizer.
She has also accused her mum of cashing in on her revived career, telling a pal: “She will do anything to get herself more famous and make money off my name. It’s just unreal. If I could cut her out of my life completely, I would.”
In the book, Lynne claims her girl began boozing at the age of 13, lost her virginity at 14 and started taking drugs at 15.
The film would also chart Brit’s marriage to dancer Kevin Federline, 30, dad of sons Jayden James, two, and Sean Preston, three.
And it would show the mental meltdown which saw her sectioned for her own safety earlier this year.
The pal added of Lynne: “She’s pitching the book around to studios. She even says she wants Julia Roberts to play her. It’s insane!
“She and Britney have been estranged since 2006, when Brit split from Federline and thought Lynne took his side.
“Now Britney is telling friends: ‘That woman doesn’t even seem like my mother any more.’”
A US spokesman for Britney said last night said he was unaware of Lynne’s movie plans. </div></div> Source

BRITNEY: ON ITUNES?
Speaking of iTunes, thanks to those of you who alerted me to the fact that "Womanizer" was no longer available for purchase. You're my eyes and ears, what on earth would I do without you? Anyway, Jive is looking into this problem as we speak, and they're working to get it resolved ASAP. There seems to be a glitch with iTunes, as Jive did not ask that the single be removed.
So for now, relish in the Britney excitement.
