Apple has teamed up with various hip-hop and R&B artists, including Wyclef Jean, David Banner, E-40 and Talib Kweli, for live performances at their retail stores throughout the country.
Celebrating "Black Music Month," Apple has partnered with BlackVoices.com to produce the free concert series. The different acts, which will also feature new Bad Boy signee Janelle Monae, Atlanta rapper B.o.B, Detroit soul singer Dwele and former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, among others, will take place in major cities like New York and San Francisco where the 'hometown heroes' will put on their shows within the retail stores. Entry into each show is based on a first come, first served basis.
With a total of 22 artists prepared to show-off their musical talent, the first performance began last Sunday (June 1) with R&B teen sensation Tiffany Evans in New York and will continue through June 30 with E-40 in San Francisco.
Made official last year, President George W. Bush proclaimed the entire month of June as "Black Music Month," recognizing the numerous contributions African-American have given to America.

He’s hot if you look at him straight on, but he has the nastiest profile ever.

the EP contains five high quality, DRM-free, fully-tagged MP3 files from a place to bury strangers, does it offend you, yeah?, crystal castles, deerhunter, and nine inch nails. "

A Paris court has fined former film star Brigitte Bardot 15,000 euros ($NZ30,000) for inciting racial hatred by insulting Muslims, her fifth conviction on similar charges in 11 years.
Bardot, now an animal rights campaigner, has repeatedly taken aim at the feast of Eid al-Adha during which Muslims ritually slaughter a sheep but she has also criticised other traditions and denounced immigration from Muslim countries.
Her latest conviction was over a 2006 tract on the Eid al-Adha issue in which she described the Muslim community in France as "this population that is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing its acts".
Prosecutors had recommended a two-month jail sentence in addition to a fine, but the court did not follow the advice. The 73-year-old Bardot, who says she is not fit to travel, was not present when the ruling was handed down.
In addition to the fine, Bardot will have to pay symbolic damages to several anti-racism organisations. The court also said the ruling against her would have to be published in the newsletter of her animal rights foundation.
Bardot's lawyer, Francois-Xavier Kelidjian, said she was unlikely to appeal because she was tired of trials.
"She gets the impression that they are trying to silence her but she will not be silenced in her defence of the cause of animals," he said.
She had already been fined four times since 1997 for inciting racial hatred, with the amounts increasing gradually.
The blonde Bardot, a sex symbol of the 1950s and 60s, was the star of influential films And God Created Woman by Roger Vadim in 1956 and Contempt by Jean-Luc Godard in 1963.
The young Beatles said they were fans and French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, a former lover, wrote a hit song about her.
But since her retirement from the screen, she has become an increasingly controversial figure whose animal rights campaign has been overshadowed by verbal attacks on gays, immigrants and the unemployed.
Is anyone even surprised anymore?
Not even six years old, Marc Broussard learned the song “Johnny B. Goode” with his dad.
The Chuck Berry tune famously tells the story of a poor country boy from Louisiana who had a knack for playing guitar.
It’s Broussard’s earliest musical memory. His father put him on a stage that weekend, and he loved every minute of it.
“I was ready to go,” Broussard said. “I was born to do what I do.”
Now 26, much of Marc Broussard’s music mixes blues and rock. It’s music Broussard’s deep baritone was made to sing. He will perform Saturday on the alternative stage at the BamaJam Music and Arts Festival in Enterprise.
Broussard grew up in Carencro, La., a small town just outside Lafayette. His father, Boogie Kings member and Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard, was a big musical influence. Broussard and his father co-wrote the song “Home” off his first album.
“He exposed me to some really great music,” Broussard said of his father. “He also allowed me to be a kid at the same time.”
Since his 2004 debut with “Carencro” — named for his hometown — Marc Broussard has continued to draw attention and new fans.
He followed up “Carencro” in 2007 with “S.O.S.: Save Our Soul,” a collection featuring remakes of soul classics from R&B icons like Al Green, Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding. He released his first EP with Atlantic Records in February. The title track, “Must be the Water,” was used earlier this year as the theme for TNT’s on-air promotions of the 2008 All-Star games in New Orleans. The full-length album comes out Sept. 23.
He’s got a following among the 20-something college set, but the musician said he welcomes anyone to his music.
“I’ve always prided myself on the fact we could cross generational barriers with my music,” Broussard said in a telephone interview with the Dothan Eagle. “I welcome all comers. I like the opportunity of being able to bring families together with my music.”
Listening to music, after all, is what he does with his own family.
Broussard and his wife have two boys and a girl, all under the age of 6. Home is still in Carencro, where Census figures put the population at just over 6,000. Broussard travels for extensive periods of time, but his schedule has also allowed him to stay at home with his family almost non-stop since November. He cherishes the time — picking up his kids from school, listening to music with them and shopping at Wal-Mart (a task he was doing during this particular phone interview).
“It’s made me the man I am today and because of that made me a better performer,” Broussard said of having children.
Being away from family is difficult, but Broussard said the pros outweigh the cons. Life on the road showed Broussard how much family meant to him, which is why he keeps his roots near his hometown.
“For the most part, I didn’t realize how important it was to me until I started traveling,” he said.
Growing up around music, Broussard started to find his own “groove” around the time he turned 19. He’s still trying to find out who he is as a man and musician. But for now, he’s making music he likes and wants to hear.
He may find himself yet in the music he prefers — that gritty, dark world of soul and blues.
“I think it just really comes from the heart,” Broussard said. “It’s music that’s written by real people. Their deepest, darkest passions for the whole world to see.”

Forget the Queen, God save Johnny Rotten if the brutal and despicable allegations against the punk rock legend are true.
According to a lawsuit filed moments ago in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Sex Pistol singer allegedly beat the crap out of a female assistant and called her every horrible name in the book after the taping of a television show in 2007.
In the lawsuit, Roxane Davis claims Rotten, real name John Lydon, "cocked back his fist ... and punched her in the face" when the rocker was forced to stay in a room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel that didn't share a door with his other assistant ... a dude named Rambo.
Davis says both Rotten and Rambo unleashed a verbal tirade, calling her a "fat f**king c*nt, f**king c*nt, and fat f**king whore."
Davis, who was an employee of the show Rotten was working on, says she reported the incident to her supervisor, "but the complaints fell on deaf ears."
But get this -- Davis admits the company did give her one warning about Rotten: "Under no circumstances was anyone to touch Rotten's hair."
So far, TMZ has been unable to contact Rotten for comment.

Christina Aguilera gave birth to her first child, Max Liron, earlier this year but recent photographs have showed the singer coming out of establishments late at night, leaving many to wonder if she has returned to her Xtina ways.
“I spend all day with my son and once in a while if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that,” Christina told Access Hollywood.
Though blogs have placed her back on the Hollywood club circuit, the new mom isn’t sweating the speculation.
“They never air [footage] of the paparazzi actually pulling up beside my husband and being like, ‘When is she going to leave the house? I have been trying to get a picture of her for weeks,’” Christina said. “Everybody has an opinion and everybody sometimes wants to cause drama and be mean spirited, but it’s something that comes with what you do and I learned that very early on.”
This past Saturday night, Christina hit Las Vegas’ Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace to help celebrate the launch of the Christina-inspired jewelry line, the Stephen Webster Silver Collection, but those weren’t the only baubles Christina has been boasting lately.
“It’s funny, me and my husband crack up about the bra sizes that we have been through since the pregnancy and delivery,” she laughed. “It’s nuts to know what the female body’s capable of.”
And in just a few months, Christina’s body got back into tip-top shape.
“It’s all mental,” Christina said of the motivation behind her physique. “I am not someone that likes to work out. I would love to just relax or do something else you but I do because I feel good afterwards. It makes me feel good to see muscle definition and to just feel better health wise.
“I think it is so important to be able to do that so really it is all mentally pushing yourself towards your goal,” she continued. “I went through a whole course of weight training and cardio and boxing and things like that but it is also your food and making sure that you eat pretty clean throughout.”
It's hard to reconcile the torture of recording and writing with the colour and unexpected humour of their worldview. Andrew Harrison spends three months in Radiohead-world to discover the roots of their singular mission...
It's January, it is bitingly cold in the streets around London E1's Brick Lane, but the effect of a face-cracking wind are softened by the unfamiliar warmth of shuffling, closely packed bodies. It is Radiohead Secret Gig Day. This morning, the band announced on its website that it would perform at the new Rough Trade East shop that very evening. Bogus sicknotes flew through the electronic ether; people began to queue before noon. Now there's at least a couple of thousand squeezed into the cobbled streets, stamping and huffing into their hands, hoping for admission to a show with a capacity of a couple of hundred tops.

What do people most often get wrong about Radiohead?
Thom Yorke: We play up to the tortuous thing a bit too much. It's not quite like that in the band. But also, this idea that there's some sort of masterplan, that we've got some sort of clue what we're doing... We haven't.
Ed O'Brien: I used to think that maybe people didn't know that there's actually a great sense of humour in the band. But maybe the webcasts and a few of the things we did last year show that we're not entirely super-serious all the time. You can't do what we do without humour. It's a lot easier to be melancholic in music. We struggle with songs of joy. That's the tough part.( Collapse )
Do Radiohead songs ever baffle you?
Ed: No. Yes. Sometimes – but then I ask Thom, which is cheating. The lyrics rarely confuse me. On In Rainbows I liked the fact that he was writing about universal human emotions again, which he hadn't done for a while.
Colin: Frequently, at the musical level. You mean lyrics? Um... there's a song called Weird Fishes which evokes meaning rather than states it... the chord changes bear you aloft and sweep you back down and that's a sort of meaning. If all you're looking for in music is a way of talking about it, it's pretty poor, isn't it?
Late that afternoon, Radiohead are in the concrete bowels of BBC Television Centre, preparing to appear on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. Outside in the central atrium, Radiohead's drummer Phil Selway and I sit in a peculiar wooden alcove and drink the famous BBC tea. It's not as bad as 50 years of comedians would have you believe.

It looks like "Bye Bye" is finally sticking as far as airplay is concerned, and it could def. be her 19th #1 hit within a few weeks. In other words, GET IT GURL. Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger has said she’d love to record a duet with Amy Winehouse.
She’s quoted as saying recently: “I’d love to hook up with Amy. I’m not sure what she thinks of us."
“But I think we can make a sexy sound that will sell.”
Amy performed a supposedly make-or-break gig in Portugal on Friday night - but reports indicate it may have turned out to be the latter.
The Associated Press is reporting that the audience began to boo after she took to the stage considerably later than planned then blamed her cracking voice on a sore throat. The gig, her first major gig since leaving rehab earlier in the year, was said to have been an indicator for record bosses of whether or not they thought she would be capable of carrying out a US tour later this year.
Sit DOWN Justin TimberlakeSeriously … sit your Pip ass DOWN!
I call it Small Ball Syndrome. Not unlike Napoleon Syndrome. You know how they say short dudes overcompensate for their vertical challenges by going overboard on toughness and aggression?
Well since Pipsqueak’s balls have only partially dropped, it’s like he’s trying to make up for his testicular deficit by swinging a big stick around – a stick wielded not by him but by his legal team. Because his little squeal isn’t intimidating in the least.
So Justin Timberlake is currently on promo for the Love Guru. All journalists on the junket apparently had to sign some kind of contract, limiting their ability to report on the experience, promising not to divulge anything personal or private, and pledging to destroy materials that have not been approved.
You’ll recall, Angelina Jolie tried to pull this sh*t last year and was publicly rebuked for it – she later blamed an overzealous lawyer and then told Jon Stewart she would never try to curb a reporter’s right to write anything.
Pipsqueak JT on the other hand…well his people feel this was a necessary move. Because he has earned his place on talent alone, right? Because Justin Timberlake would have arrived even if not for the cute curls on his head, even if not for the teenybops wanting to be his girlfriend, even if he hadn’t been Britney’s boyfriend, even if he wasn’t a constant fixture in the tabloids…
Right? Right??? Bitch… please! Not even Madonna resorts to this f&ckery. Not. Even. Madonna.
Click here to see the contract.
The Love Guru goes head to head against Get Smart on June 20th. It’s shaping up to be a major pissing match.
Hopefully Get Smart won’t be a flop. Let’s start pimping Get Smart.

Nicole Scherzinger and The Pussycat Dolls shoot a video the group’s latest track, ‘When I Grow Up’ on the a Hollywood street on Wednesday.
“This is a big deal for us. We just want to kill it. It’s all about the Dolls right now, and we’re coming strong,” said Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer. “We feel really good about this new album, we feel really good as a group, and we feel like this new album is really the next level for us. If you liked the first one, you’re going to love this one.”

Did Sarah Jessica Parker unwittingly become fashion roadkill at the New York premiere of "Sex and the City: The Movie"? Turns out the strapless, liquid-metal-like Nina Ricci gown the sartorially fearless actress donned for the May 27 media extravaganza had been worn to another high-profile event just three weeks before.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Michelle Obama will be a guest host on "The View" on June 18.
Michelle Obama will be heading to daytime TV in June when she appears on "The View."
The popular ABC daytime talk show had invited her to be a guest this month, but she sent back word that she would like to be a host like Cindy McCain did in April, said Bill Geddie, the show's executive producer.
"Equal time -- that's hard to argue with," he said Wednesday.
Being a guest host will allow Michelle Obama to help interview guests and participate in the opening "hot topics," or banter about what's in the news that day. It offers the chance for someone to show a more complete personality than just sitting for an interview and talking about themselves, Geddie said.
Michelle Obama was injected into the campaign when the Tennessee Republican Party posted an online video questioning her patriotism. That prompted her husband, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, to say political opponents should lay off his wife.
When Cindy McCain was guest host in April, comic Craig Ferguson was the lead guest. No guests have been booked for Michelle Obama's show yet.
Barack Obama has appeared twice on "The View," once before his candidacy for president. Republican John McCain has been on several times. Geddie said he expected the candidates to seek out a chance to reach "The View" audience during the campaign and be questioned about what is going on.
"We treat the wives differently than the candidates," Geddie said. "We're tougher on the candidates than we are on the wives. We're trying to get to know them."
I'm actually kind of really excited about it. I think I only want Obama to be president so she'll be first lady. She'll be like the black Jackie O <3 I saw an article with her on Vogue and I was like "Wow." AND I don't see any of the other first ladies trying to connect with their nation like this.

New York Goes to Hollywood August 4
Not really NEWS but I will post any and everything about Tiffany Pollard.
Earlier this year, VH1 announced that they will be following New York again for another round of hilarious reality revolving around her dreams of becoming a successful Hollywood actress. New York's latest show, entitled New York Goes to Hollywood, will follow her as she attends several auditions in the hopes of landing a role. She has already appeared as herself on Nip/Tuck and had a cameo in the David Talbert film First Sunday.
As for George "Tailor Made" Weisgerber, he'll be staying in New York to fulfill his duties as a Mark Ecko executive and to be with his daughter, Asia.
New York fans will be happy to know that her journey begins on air a mere two months away: on August 4th.

Oprah Winfrey says she is "euphoric" over Barack Obama clinching the Democratic presidential nomination.
"I've been doing the happy dance all day," she tells Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm so proud of Barack and [his wife and upcoming View co-host] Michelle Obama and what this means for all of us ... the new possibilities for our country," Winfrey says.

"If he wants me to," she says, "I'm ready to go door to door."
Jeff Probst says the upcoming season of "Survivor" has already hit a few snags.
"Survivor: Gabon Earth's Last Eden" has been plagued with several preproduction problems, Probst told The Associated Press at a restaurant opening Wednesday. The dilemmas for the 17th season of the CBS reality show, which begins filming in Africa later this month, range from encroaching animals to slow shipments.
"Our shipping has been really delayed," Probst said. "One aspect of 'Survivor' that is different from a lot of shows is that we have to ship throughout the season, and we're about 30 days behind now, which is a major problem. We're going to be fine on the show, but the crew housing is not there. We're going to be in tents."
Other than the habitation hindrance, Probst also said a crane had fallen over and a cargo hold containing about $100,000 worth of food had gone missing. The lumber used for building props and set pieces for challenges and Tribal Council, however, had safely arrived. Probst said the "Survivor" crew was also having an issue with something that was already present: wildlife.
"We have a danger problem with animals that we're trying to figure out how to handle," the "Survivor" host said. "There's so much truly wild life out there, we're not sure what to do. We don't want the animals around for a safety reasons, but we'd love to have a hippo sneak in every so often. I just got a call from our executive producer that we've got hippo tracks at base camp."
"Survivor: Gabon," which will feature 18 castaways living in the wilderness in the West African country, will be filmed in high-definition and is slated to premiere in the fall. It's the first time the competitive reality series has returned to Africa since its Kenya-set third season. Probst said he doesn't think the snafus will halt production.
"These things for us usually have a way of turning into good things," he said.
I imagine that this is pretty sucky for whoever was hadnling these shipments for the show. I do Imports/Exports for my job, and I would not want to deal with this.
Also, unrelated, but I am making a 2.0 version of my DC/Papas picspam. Go to my personal journal & leave me some pics in comments! ;D Thanks bbs!
A young catering student last night had the time of her life after meeting and working with Gordon Ramsay.
Lauren Hines, 16, was chosen to help cook a three-course meal for 350 diners at a Business Week 2008 event at Bridlington Spa, after winning the Young Student of the Year competition at East Riding College.
Ramsay oversaw Lauren's work in the kitchen as she helped to create an in-house menu of wild trout, rack of lamb and chocolate-orange torte. The celebrity chef then congratulated Lauren on her award, and presented her with a certificate.
She said: “Gordon Ramsay is one of the chefs I most admire and I feel really privileged to have this opportunity."
Last night was the culmination of a year’s intense studying for her NVQ Level 2 in food preparation and cooking. She explained: “I was chosen for this by my tutor for my hard work and the progress I have made over the year. Some of my friends are jealous, but most are really pleased for me.”
The F-Word star was in town to speak on his own experiences as a businessman at the event, which was he first of many at the newly refurbished Spa.

Faran Tahir's Star Trek character is to be heroic.
As reported by UGO, Tahir gave a little bit of information about his ship and character, while trying to maintain the usual secrecy of this project. "My character is a Captain of a Federation Ship," he said. "I don't know why they chose me to play a human. It's a ship that hasn't been seen before. But beyond that, they want us to keep it all kind of hush-hush. All I can say is that it's a heroic character, it's a good guy. Because it's a known story, we want to keep as much unrevealed as possible so that the experience happens while you're in the theater."
Tahir is enthusiastic about the movie and about J.J. Abrams. "J.J. (Abrams) I think is a perfect choice to bring back 'Star Trek' because he understands the genre. I think the greatest thing he's doing is he knows there's a spirit that's essential to any 'Star Trek' story and he adheres to that."
Chris Pine was normal and unpretentious, according to Tahir. "I ran into him a couple of times, off-set and he's such a normal guy, and it took me a minute to realize, "'Oh, that's Chris Pine. He's playing Captain Kirk." He's that normal."
On their work on the set, Tahir said, "My work with him was just kind of in the passing, and you will know why when you see the movie. You'll go 'Ah-ha! That's what's going on.'"

Guy Ritchie has signed on to write and direct a reimagining of super sleuth Sherlock Holmes for Warner Bros.
Lionel Wigram and Dan Lin are producing the movie, which takes its cues from a forthcoming comic Wigram wrote on the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle character.
The concept sees the character as more adventuresome and less stuffy than previous screen incarnations.
The deal reunites the filmmaker with the studio, for whom he made the upcoming crime caper RocknRolla, which is being released in October.

Why does Lindsay Lohan spend so much time with good pal Samantha Ronson?
"Lindsay just feels safe with her," socialite – and Lohan friend – Cory Kennedy told PEOPLE at Billabong's 2nd Annual Design for Humanity Event Wednesday night in Hollywood. "I just feel like they have a very loyal and trustworthy relationship, which is really hard to come across in the world that Lindsay's in. It's a trust thing."
The DJ has been Lohan's constant companion during the past few weeks – they even enjoyed a recent family get-together with Ronson's mom, Ann Dexter-Jones, and Lohan's young sister Ali in New York City. The traveling duo also cozied up on Diddy's yacht during the Cannes Film Festival.
On Wednesday night, Lohan showed up at a G-Star party in Beverly Hills to support Ronson, who was spinning. After spending some together-time in the DJ both, they headed for Ronson's next gig at the pre-party for a N.E.R.D. concert. (After Pharrell Williams's set, the two sat close together on a black leather couch – then made their joint exit around midnight.)
A 'Genuine' Friendship
DJ Steve Aoki, a close friend of both Lohan and Ronson, said their bond is easy to understand.
"[Samantha] truly is a friend to her," he explained. "She's a very positive influence .... [Lindsay] sees that and sees a genuine, good friendship."
"I think the most important thing in a relationship is, really, trust," agreed Kennedy. "I feel like that's what their relationship thrives on. I love the fact that they're both really happy."
Twenty-one-year-old Heidi Montag recently told Us she's ready to walk down the aisle with Spencer Pratt, but pal Audrina Patridge says she may want to reconsider.
"I think she's still young, and I just feel like she shouldn't get married right away," Patridge, 23, told Usmagazine.com at the Dodge Challenger Celebrity Drag Race in Rosamond, California, on Tuesday. "They should be together and see if they can actually live together for a year without fighting.
"Once you are married," Patridge added, "you're married."
She said her summer has been busy "filming the fourth season of the show."
Does she ever get tired of the cameras tracking her every move?
"I've kind of just accepted it, but there is a point where I want to get back into my private life and get into acting more," said Patridge, who is currently shooting her first movie.

They confirmed the news on his Web site in May, calling it "the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

MySpace Celebrity chats with Ryan Cabrera as he heads out on tour in support of what we think is hands down his best release yet, The Moon Under Water, and gets the scoop on touring, rocking and whale humping. Yes, whale humping!
Congrats on The Moon Under Water! Judging from the four tracks on your MySpace page, we’d have a hard time deciding which we’d choose for the first single. How did you decide on “Say”?
I try to not choose actually!! Haha! Choosing singles is probably the hardest part because it’s impossible to really know what people might react to... “Say” was the first one cause it was fun and upbeat and something that u can sing to...right now we are actually about to go to radio with a song called “Enemies.”
How did you come up with the esoteric title The Moon Under Water to tie all of these eclectic songs together?
Well the title is actually an old poem about the perfect pub and when I was in London writing songs for the album, I usually ended up every night in a pub called The Moon Under Water... One night I just looked up and was like, “Yeah, that’s it!!”
What is your favorite thing about being on tour?
That hour and a half whilst being on stage is definitely the payoff! I love being on tour and actually just left for our June and July tour..I definitely plan on being on the road non-stop promoting this album!!
Being that The Moon Under Water is your first indie release, how did the creative process differ from your previous major label releases?
It’s definitely a lot more stressful and a hell of a lot of work, but the payoff is you get to make the exact record that you wanted to make..you don’t have people telling you what to look like and how your music should sound! I had to do it because it’s my third record and my label wanted me to make the same record over and over again...the really hard part is how much and many the costs are now but in the end, it’s worth it!!!
In last month’s MySpace blog you promised fans some video clips from your tour. What can we expect to see? Crazy parties, you trashing your hotel rooms, typical rock star behavior?
Haha, well we had lots of great stuff but unfortunately the camera was lost on the road which is a bummer but we are getting a lot of behind the scenes stuff and backstage stuff.. and somewhere out there in the world, is whale humping footage!! oh god.
How funny is this list?! Madonna made the list for her regular accent, not for one that she tried to perfect in a movie role. hhahahahahahah
The fact that Dick Van Dyke made the list has me in tears because my house is currently on a Mary Poppins role and I have to sit through that performance three times a day. It really is quite bad. I'm just surprised they thought to include him. The rest of the actors on OK! Magazine's top ten are much more recent pieces.
Out actor Rupert Everett has some harsh words for Americans, whom he describes as "whiny victims":
"I'm totally off the States now. ... The reaction to 9/11 and then George Bush - really, they've got very blobby as a nation. ... Now they (the Americans) are whiny victims whose language is entirely taken from two TV shows - Friends and Sex And The City - and there's nothing sexy about them any more. And that kind of semi-blindness about the rest of the world, which was attractive when America was exciting, is really unattractive now."
Friends and Sex and the City? I couldn't be more offended by that generalization, and I couldn't help but wonder what he means by "blobby".
Of course, this isn't the first time he's unleashed his tart tongue about Americans, especially our entertainers.
"George Clooney thinks that, provided he does films which are politically committed, he's allowed to do Ocean's 11, 12, and 13", he says. "But the Ocean's movies are a cancer to world culture. They're destroying us." And Clooney the man? "He's not the brightest spark on the boulevard. He'll be president one day. Mark my words, if he's straight, he'll be president."
De Niro, Redford, Keaton, Allen, Pacino ... They're all just tragic parodies of themselves. Al Pacino looks like a mad old freak now. I say give it a rest, or go and do some serious stuff..."
"The other day I saw a film called Because I Said So with Diane Keaton, and I thought, 'here's one of the women we loved most in 1970s cinema, debasing and humiliating herself in this load of trash'.
"Why? Because we're sheep, we just follow the herd ... It's just part of the huge amount of product that's put out now that's really bad. And it's our fault. We're all responsible for how the culture is. You can't draw a distinction between the celebrity nonsense on television and the film industry."
It's okay, Rupert, we still love you. You're like the eccentric gay uncle we like to visit on summer vacation, because you let us stay up late, eating bread pudding and regaling us with "stories".
Halle Berry was spotted leaving a photo shoot with her child, and the blessed event was caught on tape.
And even if you can't really get a glimpse of the child, we can say that Halle has an impressive baby carrier setup. Even without the bodyguard and police escort, the nanny manages to be both imposing and totally cuddly. Aww!
Is this really a photo shoot? I thought she said she wasn't going to do that. Giiiirl show us your baby

Ladies and gentlemen: this is the real-life Stifler's mom.

BTW, she was Elvis' GF.
If I was a 60 year old man, I'd do her.
Kathy Griffin cast a big gay spell on Lance Bass at the taping of Bravo's A-List awards last night at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, causing his pants to plummet to his ankles and everybody to make funny faces. It also gave the audience a flash of some muscular thighs, though Bass seemed a bit shy about showing off the goods.
Damn! Ugly face but nice thighs.

A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now) that MTV is prepping a show in which Whitney Port, 23, becomes bicoastal while working for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution — and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo).
Says the insider: “There will be more blondes in the city than you ever expected!”
Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of Hills-related hijinks to keep things interesting. Case in point: Lauren Conrad, 22, has been setting off sparks with two old flames.
While helping Frankie Delgado celebrate his 27th birthday in Las Vegas on May 30 at LAX and Noir Bar, she shared a kiss on the mouth with ex Brody Jenner.
(Us cad Jenner, 24, tells Us, “I wasn’t making out with her…we're just friends.”)
The next night, she got friendly with Laguna Beach love Stephen Colletti, 22, at Body English and the opening of the club Palms Place.

American Idol producers have put the kibosh on a planned charity concert in the runner-up's homestate of Utah, an event masterminded by Archuleta's father as a "thank you" to fans who backed the teen crooner.
The toe-tapping token of gratitude, however, apparently wasn't run through the proper channels (like, any) and has now been unceremoniously called off due to a little uncharitable thing called "contractual obligations."
Archuleta's agent, Roger Widynowski, said Tuesday that the concert, billed as "Back Home With David Archuleta" and planned for tomorrow night, would be a no-go because the angel-voiced 17-year-old was not allowed to perform at any non-Idol sanctioned gigs. Not even one whose entire proceeds were earmarked for charity.
"They're just going to reschedule the event for a later time," infamous papa Jeff Archuleta told the Salt Lake Tribune. "When all the minds met, everyone concluded this wouldn't work out for this particular weekend, and they just want to reschedule it for toward the middle or the end of the [American Idols Live! summer] tour."
Widynowski, however, said the Utah concert would more likely be postponed until after the Idol-powered road show comes to a close.
And, it follows, when the proposed gig wouldn't cut into the official tour's potential revenue.
Tickets were originally set to go on sale Wednesday for $1 apiece. A quarter would pay for service charges and the other 75 cents were to be divided between the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Hometown fans will still get a chance to see the star-in-the-making before then, as the Idol tour touches down in Salt Lake City on July 14 and 15.
Archuleta is in his hometown of Murray through the end of the week before returning to Los Angeles to begin rehearsing for the summer trek, which features champ David Cook and the rest of the top 10 finalists and kicks off July 1 in Glendale, Ariz.

Now that Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown have conquered the music world, they've set their sets on a new career: Acting.
"I've just been offered Legally Blonde on Broadway," Mel B told PEOPLE Tuesday night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London, where the Spice Girls won Band of the Year.
"I'm going to go out to see about it next week," she said. And husband Stephen Belafonte, 33, showed his support by adding "She's done Rent before, she would be great!"
Brown, 33, added: "Then I have our sitcom we're working on and my Project Runway show. I'm launching my clothes line through that, hopefully this year."
Spice pal, Emma Bunton, 32 – who picked up the award with Brown, and fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – has also set her sights on becoming an actress. Baby Spice told PEOPLE, "I'm really looking forward to doing some acting – a TV drama, maybe something a bit gritty."
Reading scripts and being mom to her 9-month-old old son Beau is currently how Bunton spends her days. "I have had some amazing offers but it's about picking the right thing. Obviously now having a child – that's my priority."
Sweet Emma Bunton doing something gritty? That should be interesting. As for Mel B going back to Broadway... I'm cool with that. She actually might be kind of hilarious in Legally Blonde.
from Kimmy's official website:
Many of you have asked me about makeup tips. Today let's talk lashes & brows...
Kim, do you where eye lash extensions? I am so amazed by how long and perfect your eye lashes always appear... not to mention that both your sisters and mom also have the same perfect look.
No, I do not wear eyelash extensions, Ruby. But just started using an eyelash grower called Revitalash. It's amazing! It makes your eyelashes grow soooo much!
Kim [another Kim, not me!] says:
Kim....You, your mom and your sisters eyelashes are ALWAYS beautiful. I wanted to know what brand you use or where do you guys get them done?
We wear a company called Red Cherry, but Khloe never wears them. Kourtney, my mom and I only wear them out at night to events or parties. We have very long eye lashes to start with and the trick is to use two different kinds of mascara and really take your time putting it on!
Hi Kim! Thanx for giving us your makeup regimen! We really appreciated this, but I wanted to know the color you use on your eyebrows. They always look so perfect! Do u use pencil or what!? Thanx again and stay nice and cool! Your fan!
I use a MAC brown eyeshadow to fill them in a little bit. It's called "walnut." It works really well for me. If I need to fill in some more, I use the MAC eyebrow pencil called "lingering."
I just wanted an excuse to post the pic, tbh. Seriously, Kim is Princess J if she was a human. Fucking gorgeous.

Martha Wainwright has followed-up her self-titled 2005 debut with 'I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too'. We spoke to Martha just after her recent UK tour about working with her producer husband Brad Albetta, collaborating with Pete Townshend, and why she wanted to have more fun with this album.
Why did you wait until your late twenties to make your debut album?
I guess I was just living life, and finding my own voice, and you know, there were a lot of different circumstances. I couldn't get a record deal - no-one would sign me! I was on the road for a long time with Rufus [Wainwright, Martha's brother] as his back-up singer. I worked on the record for over a year, with my now husband Brad Albetta, and we would work in his studio when it wasn't booked. Everything just took longer that it's probably supposed to. I guess I started the record late because, finally, I had to do it. I think I was dragging my feet a little bit.

Atlanta rapper T.I. continues his growing list of big movie roles as he has just signed a three-picture deal with Sony's Screen Gems.
According to Variety, Bone Deep is the first film to be released under the deal. The heist flick will feature the self-proclaimed "King of the South" alongside actors Matt Dillon and Idris Elba from "The Wire." Directed by John Luessenhop, the drama will be based in New York and center on a group of bank robbers attempting to pull off their final heist.
Tip's second film, Boulevard, is a drama still in development while the third picture has yet to be determined.
T.I. has made a name for himself as he shared on-screen scenes with both Denzel Washington and Common in American Gangster as well as his feature film debut in ATL.
As previously reported by SOHH, T.I. has been sentenced to a year in prison beginning in March 2009 for federal gun charges as well as other penalties including 1,500 hours of community service and up to three years probation. Despite these restrictions, Screen Gems continued their long-term investment with the rapper.
In related news, T.I. has continued to stay busy as he announced a set of nationwide concerts last month. The rapper has added several more dates, with the next event on June 6th in Washington, DC and continuing through to Denver and Baltimore on July 3rd and July 11th.

#1 Nina Dobrev (Mia) was apparently cast in Transformers 2.
It seems that Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Aaron Hill will have a new classmate in college when they appear in Transformers 2. Nina Dobrey (Degrassi: The Next Generation) has been cast in the film, according to a post on the blog Transformers Live. No information about her role other than that she will be a "university student" is available at this time.
Directed by Michael Bay and starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, Transformers 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2009 release date.
My guess is that she tries to go after Shia by bringing her daughter on dates with her.

So in relation to the posts about Britney releasing Radar...
"AllAccess.com has removed "Radar" from their upcoming June releases. Does this mean the 4th single off "Blackout" is officially dunzo? Maybe our voices have been heard and "Toy Soldier" will be the single. Below is the listing AllAccess had just a few weeks ago. Tis currently nowhere to be found."

IN April, the Walt Disney Company summoned movie theater executives for a rare audience before its reigning king of animation, John Lasseter. A co-founder of Pixar and director of “Toy Story,” Mr. Lasseter was unveiling the roster of films that an aligned Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios planned to release over the next four years.
Walking onstage wearing one of his trademark Hawaiian shirts — this one with yellow and green palm trees — Mr. Lasseter was greeted by giggles and pointing from a smattering of audience members.
“What did you think I’d wear?” he asked amid the titters. A business suit and a pair of mouse ears, most likely.
When Disney bought its rival, Pixar, in 2006 for $7.4 billion, many people assumed the deal would play out like most big media takeovers: abysmally. The worries were twofold: that either Disney would trample Pixar’s esprit de corps (turning Mr. Lasseter into a drone, chanting “Hi Ho” en route to Mickey’s animation mines) or that Pixar animators would act like spoiled brats and rebuke their new owner.
Both companies had a history of acrimony, and Robert A. Iger, the new chief executive of Disney, was a mystery. Could he manage the megawatt personalities Pixar would bring into Disney’s fold? Some analysts, investors and media pundits also questioned the hefty price Disney paid for a small studio that released only one movie a year.
But two years into the integration of Pixar — and as the company rolls out “Wall-E,” a risky love story about robots that is estimated to cost at least $180 million — the merger is notable for how well it’s faring. Indeed, in an industry where corporate marriages often create internal warfare (Paramount and DreamWorks SKG are the most prominent example) Disney and Pixar have found a way to make it work.
Ellen DeGeneres is doing it. So is George Takei. But Rosie O'Donnell isn't jumping at the chance to walk down the aisle. O'Donnell and her girlfriend, Kelli Carpenter, were married four years ago when the mayor of San Francisco allowed same-sex marriages. The California Supreme Court later declared such marriages invalid.
Now the state's highest court has ruled that denying same-sex marriages was discriminatory, and many gay and lesbian couples, including DeGeneres and girlfriend Portia de Rossi and Takei and his partner, Brad Altman, are planning to tie the knot.
O'Donnell told AP Radio that she and Carpenter are "going to wait until it's legal everywhere, because otherwise, I said to Kelli, we'll be going around touring the country on the marriage tour every state by state."
"Once it gets to be at the federal level, once every state recognizes the marriages of every other state, I think that'll be the time we would do it," the 46-year-old comedian said.
Asked if she thought that time was near, O'Donnell replied, "Yes."
"The same way it was illegal for black and white people to marry at one point and people couldn't conceive of that ever being different, I do think that two consenting, law-abiding adults who want to share their life together should be allowed to do that," she said.
Six things you need to know about the new Shiny Toy Guns album
A couple of years ago Shiny Toy Guns released a very amazing album, we invented the term 'emotronica', and neither proved to be a huge success even though a) STG built up quite a bit of a live following and sold a few records and b) Robyn and Kleerup scored the first emotronic Number One.
In case you have forgotten how good Shiny Toy Guns are:
Anyway, they've been 'in the studio' recently and they are very pleased with the results. So pleased in fact that Jeremy from the band is on Line One (he's actually sent an email) because he would like to tell Popjustice viewers all about it.

She hung out with EBONY magazine in Malibu, Calif., for an exclusive cover shoot to discuss dating, the Olympics, and how she keeps her stellar physique in tip-top condition.
Offering tips on how she stays fit, Serena discusses indulging in scrumptious salads, which include feta cheese, candied walnuts and strawberries. “It’s too hot in the summer to cook, so I love to grill chicken and fish,” she adds. “I also love to grill vegetables and serve them chilled.” When asked about her romantic link to recording artist Common, Serena had this to say, “I think he’s a great guy. He’s obviously a great artist who is timeless and classic. You can’t beat that. But I have to focus on tennis because that’s my goal in life.” You know Common is your man Serena. I would be screaming that ish from the rooftops…

Erika (Slezak, Viki). I've known Erika for all these years. She's the only actor still on the show from when I first started! She was a huge mentor to me so I was especially excited to see her.
What are the most important things in your life right now?
My daughter. Hands down. My husband, my family, my dogs, my job. Really the same things that are important to everyone else!
In the past, you have been a columnist for Healthy Cooking. Do you prefer writing over acting?
No. I mean, I like it. It came out of now here and I was thrilled to do it, as well as wonderfully flattered and surprised. But I'm an actress to my bones!
One of your hobbies is cooking, what is your favorite dish to cook?
Vegetable Lasagna. It's really my husband's favorite dish. I'm a vegetarian and he's a tried and true meat eater, but he loves this dish.
You adopted a baby girl in 2004. How do you feel about adopting more children?
I'm very open to it. It's something my husband and I are talking about.
You have always played the bad girl on OLTL, how would you describe yourself off screen?
I am so not that! In fact, I joke with our costume designer whenever she calls me for a fitting for Tina and say "You're calling me in my other life as a mild mannered housewife." My life's really like a lot of other people's.
Do you ever want Tina to settle down?
I don't think Tina will ever settle down. It's just not her. I think she'd like to, but she just incapable of it. Her idea of settling down and my idea kind of settling down are not the same.
Do you want to say anything to the fans who have been so excited for your return?
Thank you! I am so grateful that people are excited for my return. Frank (Valentini, executive producer), Ron (Carlivati, head writer) and I worked really hard to try to live their expectations. I'm pleased, and I think everyone else will be too!
OLTL is the best soap on the air.
Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue's track with the lads from Coldplay has been cut from their new album - because it is too sexy. Minogue recorded a track with them last month, but it did not make the final cut for Viva La Vida, as Chris Martin revealed that it was too saucy to be put in along with the rest of their beautiful, but serious songs.

Jason Mraz responded to a fan's comment on his last myspace blog
America, The Home GameStolen from a Myspace Comment:
"Boo for you being a celebrity plugging your polilitical opinions. I like you cause you can sing (and play instruments and write songs and dance and be awesome etc etc), not cause you can vote. Don't turn all typical celebrity and ruin your fanbase that you've had since the beginning not just since you have progressively gotten more famous."
It is comments like these that make me sad, first because of all the spelling errors. And second, because some people assume songwriters shouldn't have an opinion. But in my opinion, songwriting IS opinion. I don't sing songs about politics, but I AM an American citizen and I look forward to casting my one vote, just like you. I don't ask people to support MY choice. I just hope people HAVE a choice and exercise it in November.
How would you feel if I waltzed into TGIFriday's where you worked and suggested you not wear all that flair and promotion? I wish you would just serve the shitty franchised food and not have an opinion. Save the political commentary for Ruby Tuesdays. In here it's Friday.
Fuck you. I'm voting. It's my right.
The best part is that the girl is responding to pretty much every comment left on this blog now. Girl needs a life.

During a recent phone chat about hair extensions with Kristin Ess, a hairstylist at Warren-Tricomi in Los Angeles, we talked about how faux hair became so popular over the last two years, and then suffered a backlash.
"Hair extensions definitely lost their appeal for a while because they were so cumbersome," says Ess. But now that she's discovered a line of Norwegian ones so obscure she wasn't even sure of the name, she's rekindled our love for clip-on hair.
Guess what? Ess's longtime client, Lauren Conrad—whose long, sexy hair I worship shamlessly—is reportedly addicted to these puppies.
"Lauren was having problems with her old extensions because they were so bulky," Ess says. "It was hard to do updos or tight ponytails without seeing the ridge."
According to Ess, LC's hair lies flat and stays put with the help of medical tape. While I was initially creeped out by this concept, I got over it when she told me that these extensions:
a) Take only an hour and a half to put in (as opposed to the four hours it takes to apply other varieties)
b) Stay in for about two months
c) Never get stringy like some extensions do.
I'm sure Kristin will soon have to reveal her Norwegian source once word spreads about these coveted extensions, but if you're craving LC's California-girl hair, live in the L.A. area, or have the bank to book a quickie flight, I'd swing by Kristin's chair.

Having been dating Mark Cornelson since February, T.R. Knight has formed some perspective on their relationship – and their age difference.
"It's bound to raise some eyebrows," the 35-year-old Grey's Anatomy star tells Extra for an interview due to air Thursday, "but we love each other."
Cornelson, 19, is a student and "an amazing guy. I love being around him," says Knight. "I love what we have."
With a laugh, the actor also says, "I was surprised he was interested!"
Despite the legalization of same-sex marriage in California – which has prompted Ellen DeGeneres and Star Trek vet George Takei to announce (separately) that they intend to wed their respective partners – Knight has no similar plan for the immediate future.
"We've only known each other for six months, so I think it's a little soon to consider marriage." Still, he says, "I don't think you date anyone that you don't see a future with."
Asked if he's interested in having children? "The idea of it, yes," he responds. "Adopting."

After a quick trip back to his hometown of Blue Springs last weekend, “American Idol” winner David Cook is back in Los Angeles, where he started work this week on his first post-‘Idol” album.

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has accepted libel damages from the Daily Star over allegations he suffered a health scare which jeopardised the Brit Awards.
The star, who co-hosted the ceremony with wife Sharon and children Kelly and Jack in February, was not at London's High Court for the settlement.
The 59-year-old will donate the undisclosed award to his wife's colon cancer charity.
The article claimed Osbourne collapsed twice before the ceremony.
The story - entitled Ozzy's freak show - also alleged the show's organisers went into emergency talks to decide whether he should be withdrawn at the last minute.
It implied that he was in such poor health that he was incapable of presenting the awards ceremony.
It also claimed the musician used an electric buggy to move around the set and had a place to sit in case he got tired.
Osbourne's lawyer John Kelly said the article had caused "considerable embarrassment and distress".
He added that the newspaper now accepted that Osbourne was fit enough to present the awards and had not suffered health problems.
Kate Wilson, representing Express Newspapers, apologised sincerely, accepting the allegations were untrue and never should have been published.
The Brit Awards show, hosted by the Osbournes, was watched by more than six million viewers.
Come on! It's a pudgy musician with a bad dye job wearing way too much hair gel, sequins and fake teeth. Lighten up!
David Archuleta Cameo in "High School Musical 3"?
If Disney gets its way, Zac Efron won’t be the only heart-throb at East High when High School Musical 3 hits the big screen in October. The studio is in a backstage battle with American Idol in hopes of casting Archuleta in a small cameo appearance in Musical. Here’s where things get dicey; Idol practically owns the seventeen year old singer until he completes his run on this Summer’s Idols Live Tour. Per an ironclad contract, former Idol contestants are prohibited from participating in anything “un-Idol” until the September after the show’s May finale.
It’ll be a tough fight…..but insiders say the tricky deal just might be worked out because Disney, Fox and Cowell recognize the fantastic cross-promotion that could generate Big Buck$$, The National Enquirer reports. SOURCE

Larry Rudolph, who has managed the pop star, confirmed Spears will travel to England to shoot the latest video from her album "Blackout," for the single, "Radar."
"The theme is her and her girlfriends are going to be looking all around London trying to find a boy who she met in a club," Rudolph told the New York Post’s PopWrap. “Every time they think they have him, it’s someone else."
Spears will also head behind the camera for the clip, co-directing the video, Rudolph confirmed.
"She will be behind the camera as much as possible; she wants to make sure it's exactly right," he said.
The pop singer will head to England next week for the shoot.

“Lars and the Real Girl” star Ryan Gosling and director Craig Gillespie will reteam on “The Dallas Buyers Club,” a drama for Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment.
David Bushell (”Sling Blade”) will produce with Marc Abraham, whose Strike partner Eric Newman will be exec producer.
Gillespie’s set, and Gosling’s in negotiations. Chase Palmer is doing a rewrite.
“Dallas Buyers Club” is the true story of Ron Woodroof, a tough Texas electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1986 and given six months to live. Frustrated with the lack of available medical options and unwilling to accept a death sentence, Woodroof found a lifeline using alternative drugs and created a lucrative smuggling business that made those drugs available to AIDS patients. Woodroof died in 1992.
The project was originally set up at U in 2002 by Bushell and scribes Craig Borten and Melissa Wallach as a star vehicle for Brad Pitt and director Marc Forster. Subsequent drafts were penned by Guillermo Arriaga and Stephen Belber. Universal-based Strike came aboard recently, as it did on the long-gestating U adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s “The Sigma Protocol,” now a priority project with “Iron Man” scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
“Ron was this hard-drinking, carousing outlaw who got ticked off when told to go home and die,” Bushell said. “This is about one man’s enduring spirit to live and the effect his actions had on others, even if his actions didn’t start out entirely as altruistic.” ‘Lars and the Real Girl’ showed Craig’s ability to take offbeat, almost dangerous characters and make you want to bring them home for dinner, and Ryan stirs the deepest emotions with every performance.”
Gosling in yet another movie that is more than likely to make me cry in front of strangers. Hopefully there are others who suffer the same affliction I do - "Sob During Lars And The Real Girl-Itis".
Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" jumps 10-3 to become the biggest Hot 100 hit of the band's career. The tune, which soundtracks an iTunes TV commercial and was performed Sunday on the MTV Movie Awards, sold 219,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The U.K. band's previous high-water mark on the Hot 100 was with "Speed of Sound," which peaked at No. 8 in 2005.
Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" soars 21-5 with sales of 173,000 downloads. Her Capitol debut, "One of the Boys," arrives June 17.
Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" holds at No. 2, Rihanna's "Take a Bow" remains at No. 4 despite being the top airplay gainer this week and Usher's "Love in This Club" featuring Young Jeezy stays put at No. 6.
Jordin Sparks' "No Air" featuring Chris Brown drops 5-7, Ray J & Yung Berg's "Sexy Can I" slides 7-8 and "American Idol" champ David Cook's "The Time of My Life" falls 3-9. Only three of the 11 record-breaking debuts from last week remain on the Hot 100 by Cook, but "The Time of My Life" manages a record-breaking debut at No. 31 on the Adult Top 40. It's the highest opening for a career-starting single by a solo male there.
Madonna's "4 Minutes" featuring Justin Timberlake drops 8-10 to round out the top tier.
Lil Wayne has the top debut on the Hot 100 this week with "Got Money" featuring T-Pain at No. 13. The rapper has four listings in the top 40 of the chart, three as a lead artist. That's the most for a lead act since 50 Cent had three in the May 7, 2005, issue of Billboard.
Also new this week are Usher's "Moving Mountains" at No. 72 and the Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" at No. 76. On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, "Lollipop" is tops for a sixth week, while "Moving Mountains" is the top debut at No. 55.
Brad Paisley is No. 1 on Hot Country Songs for a third week with "I'm Still a Guy." But Jessica Simpson dazzles there with her first country single, "Come on Over," which debuts at No. 41. For a solo artist with no prior history on the tally, this is the biggest debut since Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems began tracking in January 1990. Simpson's debut country album is due later this year.
On Billboard's rock roundups, Weezer is No. 1 on Modern Rock with "Pork & Beans" for a fifth week, and Disturbed's "Inside the Fire" tops Mainstream Rock for a fifth as well.
okay, for those who didn't read this, this is the top ten:
1. Lil Wayne featuring Static Major, Lollipop
2. Leona Lewis, Bleeding Love
3. Coldplay, Viva la Vida
4. Rihanna, Take a Bow
5. Katy Perry, I Kissed a Girl
6. Usher featuring Young Jeezy, Love in this Club
7. Jordin Sparks featuring Chris Brown, No Air
8. Ray J & Yung Berg, Sexy Can I
9. David Cook, Time of My Life
10. Madonna featuring Justin Timberlake, 4 Minutes
OK, well, we don't want to give too much away, but HERE'S a little taste of the, er, craziness that occurred last night at Bravo's A-List Awards. Honestly, no words are necessary.
Last night Bravo held its first ever A-List Awards, and what a night it was. Hosted by the hilarious Kathy Griffin, Bravo celebrated the best in food, fashion, design, beauty, and pop culture. We won't give away too many of the details now, but let's just say there was unexpected kissing and nakedness on stage, and we'll leave it at that!
PS: I went with a friend I was part of the "casted audience" srsly guys it was kinda boring after a while, I think it'll be cute on tv, but after an hour we were like, we're hungry lets bounce. I was there for the Lauren Hutton part though, she coulda just said thank you but NOOO she had to play her self.
It's hard for mothers to stand up to their daughters, but spare a thought for Sharman Macdonald, whose little treasure is Keira Knightley.Sharman told her daughter (Keira) that she had written the part of Caitlin Thomas specifically for her in the screenplay of The Edge of Love, a film about Dylan Thomas, but Keira had other ideas.
“I said ‘you’re playing Caitlin,’ and she said, ‘No, I like Vera,’” says Sharman.
As a result, the part of Vera Phillips, who was one of the poet’s love interests, was altered.
“She wasn’t even a singer until Keira decided she wanted to play her.”
Daughter knows best.

Lindsay Lohan has impressed the producers of new movie Labor Pains with her work ethic - despite earning a reputation as a tardy star on the set of her previous movie Georgia Rule.
Lohan infuriated studio chief James G. Robinson with her lateness and partying while shooting the 2007 drama, eventually causing him to write a letter to the star in July 2006 attacking her unprofessionalism.
But according to a producer on upcoming comedy Labor Pains - in which Lohan plays a publishing assistant who pretends to be pregnant in a bid to keep her job - the 21-year-old has been a consummate professional.
Producer Rich Schwarts tells industry publication Variety, "I didn't know Lindsay before this, but we looked each other in the eye three months ago, and she has done everything I could have asked."
Shooting on the movie, which also stars Chris Parnell and Cheryl Hines, begins on 9 June in Burbank, California.

Shania Twain is finally addressing her split from her producer hubby Mutt Lange.
In a statement on her website, the Canadian country star says:
Shania and her ex announced their split on May 15 following a 14-year marriage.
“As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life,” the country singer wrote. “I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life.
I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music. This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.
I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever.”
Jay Leno is officially back in the good graces of gay rights organization GLAAD after attending the "Vow to Vote" commitment ceremony benefiting Matthew Shepard's "Erase Hate" campaign in West Hollywood, CA Wednesday.
In April The Tonight Show host, teased Ryan Phillippe for landing his first role as a gay teen on the soap One Life to Live. He also asked Phillippe to give the camera his "gayest look."
Leno later apologized for his derogatory remarks in a statement - but it was his appearance Wednesday night that impressed the organization.
"You stood alongside Judy Shepard and T.R. Knight, you spoke about your gay friends and co-workers, and how you're supportive of their relationships and desire to marry," Damon Romine, Director of Media Entertainment at GLAAD wrote in an open letter to Leno posted on GLAAD's web site.
"As you told reporter Greg Hernandez: "'What's so funny to me is how people miss out on [realizing] the economic benefits just in terms of catering and flowers and planning. The services that come with it. . . The businesses that cater to [the LGBT community] do very well. So it just seems like common sense. Gas is four bucks a gallon. For me to worry about what Larry and Bob are doing seems sort of ridiculous.'"
Romine continued, "So, thank you, Jay, for lending your voice and showing your support.
When Ellen marries Portia and George Takei marries Brad, you'll have an opportunity to have them on your couch to show the world that gay couples should have the same legal protections and responsibilities as everyone else. Or you could take a different path and make their ceremonies the subject of a monologue joke. I'm hoping for the former, but you might tell me that there's room for both. Borrowing a line from you, we'll "see what happens."
Romine tells Usmagazine.com, "Straight allies like Jay can be some of the most effective and powerful voices in our struggle for fundamental freedoms."
Tell Us: Did Jay do the right thing?
Sex and the City has been doing phenomenally well at the box office, earning the title of top-opening romantic comedy of all-time. And now the ladies of Sex — Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis — each have their own covers for the July 2008 issue of Marie Claire, out June 10th.
The girls share the gossip, glamour, and truth about the SATC cultural phenomenon:
Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) on holding out to make the movie: Four years ago I was going through a painful public divorce, the series was coming to an end, and my father was diagnosed with dementia. I felt it was time to be with my real family. A year-and-a-half ago, when I was sent the script, I was ready and strong enough to revisit Samantha. In some ways, I’m glad we waited. The script and the experience of making the movie was the best possible reunion.
Producer Darren Star on the gals of SATC: “These were women who were objectifying men. And it was sort of jarring. Men aren’t used to hearing themselves depersonalized and referred to as Mr. This or Mr. That. I think if you had a show with that sort of locker-room talk from a bunch of guys talking about women, it would be a little ‘yuck.’”

June 5, 2008 – Fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent was laid to rest in Paris today. Among the mourners who gathered at the Église Saint-Roch, near the Louvre, were French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy (in a black trouser suit, a tribute to a designer who was an early champion of the style); Pierre Bergé, Saint Laurent's longtime business partner; YSL muses Catherine Deneuve and Inès de la Fressange; and designers such as John Galliano, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, and Kenzo. The real tribute to the great designer's influence, though, may have been the more than 1,000 people who gathered in the street outside the church to pay their last respects.

At the Cannes Film Festival Spike Lee called out Clint Eastwood and his films Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima saying:
"There were many African-Americans who survived that war and who were upset at Clint for not having one [in the]. That was his version: the negro soldier did not exist. I have a different version. Times Online was on hand and asked Eastwood about the comment to which he didn't reply, but he has broken his silence.
"Here's the paradox," he said. "These African-American men wanted to fight against fascism in the name of democracy. At the same time, they were still second-class citizens." Although Lee emphasised his respect for Eastwood as a film-maker, he claimed that the director had been told of the African-Americans who fought at Iwo Jima, and had chosen to ignore that "information".
In an interview with The Guardian Eastwood answers the questions head on:
"The story is Flags of Our Fathers, the famous flag-raising picture, and they didn't do that. If I go ahead and put an African-AmericanThe final paragraphs are the most revealing when it comes to Eastwood's opinion on the matter: in there, people'd go: 'This guy's lost his mind.' I mean, it's not accurate." Referring to Lee, he added: "A guy like him should shut his face."
Defending the racial make-up in his films as historically accurate, Eastwood referred to another of his films, Changeling, which was set in Los Angeles before the city had a large group of African-Americans. "What are you going to do, you going to tell a fuckin' story about that?" he said. "Make it look like a commercial for an equal opportunity player? I'm not in that game. I'm playing it the way I read it historically, and that's the way it is. When I do aIn fact Morgan Freeman stars as Mandela in the and it's 90% black, like Bird, then I use 90% black people. Human Factor, of which Matt Damon also just joined.
"He was complaining when I did Bird (the 1988 biopic of Charlie Parker). Why would a white guy be doing that? I was the only guy who made it, that's why. He could have gone ahead and made it. Instead he was making something else."
Eastwood's next project, The Human Factor, will be about Nelson Mandela's attempts to foster national unity in post-apartheid South Africa. Asked if he would remain historically accurate with depictions of the former president, he said: "I'm not going to make Nelson Mandela a white guy."
