YO SPENCER! After college, my group of friends split evenly between NYC and L.A. Every couple of months someone flies cross country to party in the opposite coast. The thing is, with three of my good friends living in L.A., we can only have two NYC guys come at a time. Five guys is the limit! You can't fit more than five in one car, and you can't roll in anywhere with more than five guys holding your hand. It's just not happening. So how do you tell the other guys in New York that you are taking a trip out west and they can't come without having to deal with any BS from them?
You tell them that no hot club in L.A. is going to let two dudes in—let alone four or five—so you need to rotate trips to L.A. unless you don't mind partying at the non-exclusive clubs. Or tell them that they need to come with cash to offer the promoter or door person. If I was bouncing the door at a hot spot, five dudes would cost at least $500 dollars. So if they're cool with bringing loot, problem solved. With enough money you can roll five dudes deep pretty much anywhere.
Which made him appear to be the much smaller of the two.

Janet Jackson made a daring arrival in a fuchsia and pink silk degradé kimono gown by Alexander McQueen as she attended the British designer’s Los Angeles flagship store launch party last night.
The Feedback diva was joined by fellow fashionistas Eve, Joy Bryant and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.
One person who was unsurprisingly absent? Paris Hilton. She’s was urged to stay away from the new L.A. store because she is simply not welcome.
Says McQueen: “If she comes past the shop, hopefully she will just keep walking. I don’t really covet that sort of thing. I’m not too fond of these openings, I find them quite superficial. The people who wear McQueen wear it because they want to wear it, not because it’s the new thing in town.”

Singer Melee Beats' new album "The Limited" got reviewed on this Czech music website. The new album can be ordered on Amazon.com .
Melee Beats is the alias for American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer Nic Bertino (born October 3rd, 1985).
Bertino grew up in Sacramento, California. His first interaction with music came when his half-brother introduced him to FL Studio in 1998. Bertino was intrigued by music and began producing simple melodies and drum patterns. With the help of the internet, Bertino would discover electronic music shortly after. He was exposed to many different genres of music in his youth, but he became increasingly interested in disco, funk, and house music.
Infatuated with disco house, Bertino would produce his first full-length house song in 2001 at the age of 15. He often neglected homework in favor of music, and he eventually signed his first vinyl single to a local record label at the age of 17.
"Bel Esteem (2006)," Bertino's second full length work in two years, marked the maturation of Melee Beats into a commercially-capable producer. Vocal hooks weaved masterfully in and out of expertly-produced beats and rhythms; synthesizers and e-pianos flirted with disco samples and biting guitar lines as Bertino demonstrated his ability not only as a producer, but also as a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist.
After completing "Bel Esteem," Bertino was working on his next project titled "Triumph." While simultaneously working on "Triumph," Bertino also released his first commercial CD titled "The Limited." It was a compilation of the best works from the four Melee Beats albums, and ranged from French House to R&B.
Bertino is currently completing "Triumph" (11/18/2008) while promoting "The Limited." (6/10/2008).

“I think he’s done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks,” Cowell says. “He’s taken more risks, he’s done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I’m gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win.”Perhaps Cowell is a bit biased. He did coach Cook this week, selecting songs for him to sing
The film centers around Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, his wife Caitlin and the curious real-life incident in which childhood friend Vera Phillips (Knightley) and her eventual husband William Killick opened fire on the Thomas home with a machine gun and a hand grenade.
This is a reteam for Knightley and director John Maybury who last worked together on The Jacket. Let's just hope this one is better than that one was. It certainly looks like it will be, at least with Sienna Miller and Cillian Murphy at Keira's side.
There is still no release date for the film here in the States, but it is expected to be at the Edinburgh Film Festival and I believe hit UK theaters in June.

Firefighters were called Sunday morning to the apartment model Heather Stohler shared with her boyfriend, Daniel Risley. When they got there, they found the unit up in flames. Both were rushed to the hospital where Stohler died later that day. Risley died on Tuesday.
The fire appears to have been an accident.
Edited to add: Investigators have determined the cause of the fire was a burner left on in the kitchen. The fire quickly spread throughout the home. Smoke and flames had to be eliminated before rescuers could get to the victims.
Vincennes Fire Chief Mike Lankford says it appeared there were no working smoke alarms in the apartment.

It's a tight contest — even resident horndog Nigel Barker doesn't seem to be batting his bedroom eyes at anyone in particular — but that won't stop us from making predictions about the contestants' chances.

Have you ever wondered what a celebrity gets for her baby shower - so were we. Well MediaTakeOut.com managed to locate (with the help of one of our fabulous readers) Tameka "Tiny" Cottle and TI's baby registry. And we were shocked to find that most of the expensive items have yet to be purchased.
For example, despite having the baby shower more than a week ago - no one has bought the happy couple their car seat or their crib. And MediaTakeout.com has learned that Tiny's pals, in typical Negroid-ian fashion didn't purchase any item that was priced over $30.
Y'all cheapos in Atlanta better hurry up, Tiny's due date is May 25th.....

Apparently Pig Monkey sent a pic to Media Take Out of the gifts she got. So they weren't all that cheap. I just wanted to make a T.I. post. GIFTS
