Meanwhile, Radiohead's "In Rainbows" debuts prematurely due to street date violations at No. 157, with 9,000 copies sold. The album's official release date was yesterday (Jan. 1) in North America via TBD Recordings/ATO.
Back near the top rung, Alicia Keys' "As I Am" (J) takes a 59% sales hit but moves up 3-2 with 193,000, while the "Now 26" multi-label hits compilation ascends 6-4 with 98,000 (-58%). Chris Brown's Jive set, "Exclusive," climbs 10-5 with a 51% decline to 87,000, and the Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" (Eagles Recording Co.) falls 4-6 with 85,000, a 72% decrease.
Swinging back into the top 10, Garth Brooks' Pearl set "The Ultimate Hits" moves 12-7 with 77,000 (-56%). Another country star, Taylor Swift, holds tight at No. 8 with her self-titled Big Machine album, selling 77,000 copies with a 59% decline. Miley Cyrus' Disney double-disc "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus" takes a 72% hit at 73,000, falling 5-9. Universal Republic newcomer Colbie Caillat's "Coco" jumps up 17-10 with 72,000 (-49%).
There aren't any new releases so much as a breath near the top tiers on The Billboard 200 this week. "High School Musical 2: Non-Stop Dance Party," the dance remix of the original Disney album, is this week's top debut at No. 68 with 22,000. The next new release, Maroon 5's EP "The B-Side Collection," enters at No. 121 with 11,000; the A&M/Octone set was available only through iTunes.
The Atlantic soundtrack to "P.S. I Love You" bows at No. 135 with 9,000.
Deny! Deny! Deny! Ashlee Simpson and Kim Kardashian have both denied they are engaged to UsWeekly . Ashlee was spotted yesterday wearing some ring on her engagement finger, but her rep says that she is not promised to Pete Wentz.
Kim Kardashian was rumored to have gotten engaged to Reggie Bush, but she told UsWeekly, "Like he would marry me?! I'm a whore!." No...she said, "It's not true. Not yet!"
I love the "not yet" part. She's optimistic. NOT EVER, I hope.
Again, I don't believe when celebrities deny this crap. They are all liars! They are lie tellers! I think Ass and Pete might be engaged, because I can see those two nerds getting married. I don't see Reggie proposing to Kim K anytime soon though.
Damn she can sing.
TMZ has learned Britney's latest set of lawyers has bitten the dust.
The high-powered firm of Trope and Trope filed legal papers today withdrawing as Brit's hired guns in her custody dispute with K-Daddy. In the Motion To Be Relieved as Counsel filed today, the law firm of Trope and Trope say, "there has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible." Ding dang wha?!
No word on whether Brit has a new lawyer.
You may recall, disso-queen Laura Wasser quit Brit last year as well. Representing a popwreck can be a bitch.
UPDATE: Sources tell TMZ the reason Trope and Trope withdrew is because Britney just didn't listen to her lawyers' advice, and her behavior was generally sinking her case.
Poor Keira Knightley seems to always have to defend herself against those anorexia rumors from last year. To refresh your memory, a nasty article came out implying that a 19-year old (who had died of anorexia) used Keira’s pictures as an inspiration to starve herself. So in the January 2008 issue of Elle UK, she addresses this subject briefly:
“The article was horrendous and completely devastating, not only because of the actual girl, but because on another level it could potentially have ruined my career. Because if I had been anorexic, there is no way I would have been able to do a lot of the action movies that I do. People wouldn’t have hired me.” Keira has stated, publicly and often, that she is not anorexic and attributes some of the ongoing speculation to flippant comments that she made about her body when she first started getting attention in the press: “I was 18,” she says. “And the idea that an 18-year old girl is not going to be in some way feeling awkward is ridiculous. I wouldn’t say that I have body issues, but if you’re going to ask me whether I’m completely, 100 per cent satisfied, of course I’m not. Nobody is.”
Anyway, Keira has slimmed down since first becoming famous, but nowadays she is looking pretty good. Still very thin, but not scary.
Remember the boyish-looking girl who played Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room?

Estranged father and daughter duo Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight have finally buried the hatchet, after Angie gave her dad a surprise Christmas Eve phone call.
The two had not spoken since June 2002, after Jon told T.V.’s Extra that he hoped his little girl would seek help for her “serious emotional problems”.
A source tells the National Enquirer that Angelina called her father while spending Christmas in New Orleans with partner Brad Pitt and their four children.
Says the friend: “It was a short call, but it meant the world to both of them. It was something for them to build on, and Jon couldn’t say enough good things about the way his daughter is conducting her life.”
Aww….we love a happy ending!
So is Britney Spears really banging married photog Adnan Ghalib? Perhaps not. The British-born celebrity shutterbug has revealed to friends that he is working on ”definitive” photo diary of Spears’ life. The pap claims his soon-to-be released book will feature behind-the-scenes and never-before-seen snapshots of the Britster. It appears Adnan is just one more person who wants a “piece of Britney Spears.”

Victoria Beckham has reportedly banned a host of her celebrity enemies from attending the Spice Girls' reunion concerts.
The 33-year-old singer - who is currently in the middle of the band's 17-date residency at London's O2 arena which is part of their world tour - has compiled a list of stars who are not welcome at the venue as they have upset her in the past.
The list includes British glamour model Jordan and her husband Peter Andre, Lily Allen, Sophie Ellis Bextor, TV star Denise Van Outen and camp comedian Graham Norton.
A source said: "Victoria has taken some stick over the years from certain celebrities. She doesn't want to be doing her stuff on stage, and then see famous faces in the audience taking the p**s.
"So, quite understandably, Victoria has banned a number of well-known names from the show."
Jordan and Peter publicly slated Victoria and her soccer star husband David on national TV, while Sophie - who beat Victoria in a chart battle in 2000 - slammed the Spice Girls' latest video 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)'.
Lily criticised Victoria's figure, saying she was too thin to be a good role model, while Graham and Denise have also ridiculed her appearance.
Last night (02.01.08), George Michael was in the audience cheering on close friend Geri Halliwell and the rest of the girls, Victoria, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Mel B.
A galaxy of stars have seen the band perform, including Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes, Rihanna and British TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
Here are some of their best videos. Probably nsfw, there's no nudity but a lot of swearing.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds were married in Bora Bora on New Year’s Day in front of 25 friends and family, but a lawyer is stating that the marriage is likely to be invalid.
The Sydney Daily Telegraph is reporting that Malgras Benoit, a general law specialist in French Polynesia, declared that the couple was ineligible to be married locally because they had not lived in the region for at least 30 days, which is a qualification that must be met under French law.
Benoit explained that the wedding, which took place on the beach with Tracey walking barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight’s “Makings of You,” does not constitute, “a real marriage, if it is on the beach with only a local priest. I think it was just an exotic, artistic ‘marriage.’”
Maybe the couple was simply too busy watching over their Brady Bunch-esque brood to have crossed all their T's and dotted all their I's? Eddie, 46, has five kids with former wife Nicole, who he divorced last year, as well as one with Spice Girl Melanie Brown. Tracey, 40, has two children with ex-husband Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.

Some of these outfits are horrendous IMO.

The pop-tart train wreck was reportedly in Denver in mid-December with her sometime boyfriend/developer pal John Sundahl.
They arrived in a private plane and looked at a house in Cherry Creek North, where he plunked down a $2.2 million deposit. Then they drove to Estes Park in an SUV to check out the Harmony Foundation, a well-regarded 28-day residential rehab center.
“Harmony Foundation’s Marcy Hoester said Wednesday that she was unable to discuss anyone who may or may not be at the facility.
Spears also was spotted that day in a black SUV by some CU students — who call themselves the “CU Gossip Girls.”
According to the source, Sundahl wants Spears to try the Colorado rehab, as her other efforts were, er, less than successful. And she wants to be close to Sundahl, who is relocating to Denver.
The National Ledger reported back in June that she was dating John Sundahl, who also happens to be Britney’s drug counselor. I guess he’s a jack of all trades.source

BJORK DRINKS A BOTTLE OF VODKA EVERY FRIDAY
Bjork has gone some way to explaining her 'distinctive' singing voice of wailing, quacks and pops by revealing that she drinks a litre bottle of vodka every Friday. It seems that this is an old Icelandic tradition and explains why their football teams are so shit. They probably can't even see the ball at kick off time on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to Music Week (presumably on a Thursday) Bjork came across as reasonable, insightful and utterly deranged, all at the same time.
"I come from a country where, from the age of 15, you drink a litre of vodka every Friday, straight from the bottle. I watched my grandparents doing that and it's been my pattern, just like it has been my family's release for a thousand years."
Which might explain the lack of Icelandic Nobel prize winners or some of the reasons they eat cute little puffins when they get the munchies.
"Alcohol is how people in Iceland lose themselves, switch their conscience off and run riot. It's the same for me with my music - to me it stands for freedom."
It's a miracle there's anything standing in Iceland at all! Could it be possible that when Bjork attacked that reporter in an airport it was the day after Thursday and the day before Saturday?

Heidi Montag has a new outlook for the new year and she’s ready to put her engagement woes and her costar foes behind her.
The Hills star says “the past is the past” on her MySpace blog, urging her online friends to “move on from negative influences in their lives and be more positive.
At least that’s what she is going to do.
“I just hope everyone is starting 2008 with a fresh clean slate like I am. … I know at least I am going to try as hard as possible even when people don’t deserve kindness… I am still going to give them kindness!” she writes, not mentioning how she and fiancé Spencer Pratt fared over the holidays or addressing the hit reality show’s controversial re-shoots.
(But she does say on her profile that she’s looking to meet, “Hot guys because I’m single again.”)
Montag also gives her readers some other friendly advice: “People should try not to judge other people in 2008!” But, if she practices what she preaches, it could make for less eyes on her Hills‘ activities next season!

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens quickly learned the repercussions of being famous when photos of her posing naked last September. She made her first post-scandal appearance at Us' Hot Hollywood event later that month.
"It was very traumatic, and I am extremely upset it happened," she tells February's Seventeen. "I hope all my fans can learn from my mistake and make smart decisions."
She says her manager first informed her the shots were leaked.
"We heard some story was going to break in the tabloids, and I was like, 'What?!?' A few days later, the picture came out while I was on vacation in Australia," she says. "Thank God, I wasn’t home — it would have sucked."
And how did she explain the photos to mom?
"I was just open with her, and she was just so cute," Hudgens says. "She was like, 'Well, everyone can be naked if they want to.' [Laughs] My parents are very supportive of me. And they know I’m a teenager, and yes, kids do stupid things sometimes."
Hudgens says she learned a valuable lesson: "It’s very unfortunate because with the Internet these days, you don’t have a personal life. Nothing is private: Everyone knows everything, and they can find out everything about you... you have to be aware of the people you’re around."
She can count on boyfriend Zac Efron for support (both are set to star in the third HSM movie).
"He always makes me happy," she tells the magazine. "He literally knows exactly what to do to make me laugh."
Are the two ready to get hitched?
"No," she insists. "It’s fun having a boyfriend."
"But only time will tell," she adds. "I’m still young, and I have my girlfriends and I have my family. I think that it’s definitely important to have balance."
For the moment, I’ll leave the why on that particular non-Cupid score alone. After all, it could have been for any number of reasons -- a messy end to a relationship with horndog Ryan Phillippe will leave any girl ripe for some good ol’ hand-holding, trust me.
But look, Reese is a guaranteed movie star. She has an Oscar. She can open a movie. True, she’s had her share of bombs (Rendition with Jake, for instance), but she’s not exactly cautioning her every public move. She can afford to screw around a little more than Jake can. Gyllenhaal’s career is still climbing and somewhat unproven.
That’s just one reason why a lot of Jake’s buds have been getting increasingly miffed by the relationship between Reese and Jake. Gyllenhaal’s friends -- who really got tested by this whatever-it-is with Reese -- feel J.G. was letting himself be used.
"He didn’t need to do this," bitched one particularly frustrated companion to Jake. "His career was fine. His friends are fine. He has a family. I don’t know why he felt the need to attach himself to Reese like that. Well, I do. But he didn’t need to do it."
Alan Cumming Joins Dianne Wiest in The Seagull at Classic Stage
Tony Award winner Alan Cumming will join the previously announced Dianne Wiest in Anton Chekhov's The Seagull at Classic Stage Company, directed by Viacheslav Dolgachev, Artistic Director of the Moscow New Drama Theatre. The production begins performances on February 20, with opening night set for March 13. The Seagull will play a limited engagement through March 30.
Written in 1896, The Seagull is widely regarded as Chekhov's first masterpiece, subtly dissecting the affairs of the heart and the demands of a life in the arts, while balancing the comic, the lyric and the tragic. Wiest is cast as the magnetic actress Arkadina, with Cumming taking the role of her lover,Trigorin.
In September, news reports indicated that British film star Kristin Scott Thomas would reprise her Royal Court Theatre performance as Arkadina (with Chiwetel Ejiofor as Trigorin) on Broadway this season, though no further word about the timing of that production has been announced. Ian McKellen played Sorin in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of the play, which ran briefly at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The most recent major New York production of the play was a 2001 mounting in Central Park directed by Mike Nichols and starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline as Arkadina and Trigorin.
Wiest, a two-time Academy Award winner for Bullets Over Broadway and Hannah and Her Sisters, most recently starred in on the New York stage in Wendy Wasserstein's Third at Lincoln Center and Kathleen Tolan's Memory House at Playwrights Horizons. On Broadway she has appeared in Salome, Solitaire, Othello, Beyond Therapy and In the Summer House. She won Obie Awards for her performances in The Art of Dining, Other Places and Serenading Louie. On television she starred as district attorney Nora Lewin on Law & Order from 2000 to 2002 and will soon be seen in the new HBO series In Treatment.
Cumming received the Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as the Emcee in Cabaret. He has also been seen on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera and Design for Living. London theater credits include Bent, The Bacchae, Hamlet at the Donmar Warehouse (for which he won the TMA Best Actor Award), Cabaret, La Bete (Olivier Award nomination), Ellle, Conquest of the South Pole (Olivier nomination) and The Accidental Death of an Anarchist at The Royal National Theatre, for which he received an Olivier Award for his performance. His film work includes co-producing, co-writing, co-directing and co-starring in The Anniversary Party, which won a National Board of Review Award and two Independent Spirit Award nominations. His latest film as director and star is Suffering Man's Charity.
The Seagull will feature with sets by Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto, costumes by Suzy Benzinger, lighting by Tony Award winner Brian MacDevitt, and a translation by Paul Schmidt. Additional casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

Lindsay Lohan's manager-mom Dina Lohan says that her daughter's ex-boyfriend, Riley Giles, purposefully hurt the actress – but denies a recent report that she called his mother to berate her parenting skills.
"I never spoke to Riley's mom, nor would I blame her for his behavior," Dina exclusively tells PEOPLE. "Riley is a grown man."
The report claimed the phone call was made after Giles sold the story of his affair with Lohan to News of the World.
Dina, however, did slam Giles for his tell-all interview with the paper, in which he revealed intimate details of their relationship. "He took desperate measures to hurt Lindsay because she broke up with him," she says.
Lohan, 21, and Giles, 25, who met while seeking treatment at Utah's Cirque Lodge this past summer, split in late November.
Cruise's estimated fortune is $250 million sources say he enjoys splashing his cash so much that the actor could squander it all.
"Tom is really into money. He has no problem spending it. It makes him feel powerful. He loves to brag about his Porsches, his homes, his planes and his motorcycles."
"When Tom takes Katie out, he has his security people hand $100 bills to anyone who helps them, even someone who opens a door! He's a big giver."
The 45-year-old actor and wife Katie Holmes have a 20-month-old daughter Suri together, and Tom also has two adopted children, Connor, 12, and 14-year-old Isabella with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, who stand to inherit his fortune.
As well as funding his lavish lifestyle of expensive meals and shopping sprees for Katie and Suri, Tom also spends a vast amount of money running his four private planes.

SUPERMODEL Gemma Ward is firming up as the new leading lady in Heath Ledger's life, with reports the pair are now dating emerging from their hometown Perth.
Ledger's relatives have been telling friends that the two are now and item and the pair have been spotted at parties in the Western Australian capital over the festive season.
One witness who saw them together at Creatures Loft in Fremantle on Boxing Day said they were acting like a couple.
"They weren't all over each other but they were sitting together and looked like they were together," the source told Confidential.
The US-based pair - who returned home to spend Christmas with their families - were with a group of friends and Ward was looking her usual stunning self in a pink maxi dress.
But the runway babe has also been taking the opportunity to catch up with her gal pals and was seen having lunch at Benny's Bar and Cafe in Fremantle.
Since news the curtain had fallen on his three-year relationship with his Brokeback Mountain missus Michelle Williams broke in August, the Casanova has been linked to everyone from Helena Christensen to Heather Graham.
Rumours of a romance with Ward first arose in November, with reports in the New York Post that he had been "following Gemma around everywhere".
But at the time Ward was described as "definitely not interested".
The pair should have plenty in common - while Ledger is an Oscar-winning actor Ward also has an emerging film career of her own.
Her breakthrough flick The Black Balloon, in which she stars alongside Toni Collette, has been selected for the Berlin Film Festival in February.
If talk of the twosome is true, 20-year-old Ward will also end up playing step-mum to Ledger's two-year-old daughter Matilda.
Representatives for the pair were unavailable for comment yesterday and Ward's model sister Sophie declined to comment.
This article is a whole load of bollocks for so many reasons not least that he has never won an Oscar. But the thought of them together makes me LOL.

So it turns out that Jamie Lynn Spears wasn't the only person that our producer had a fling with. No, it wasn't anyone on Jamie's show. But, it turns out he has made a habit of doing the same thing in the past to a number of different other tweeners. Not necessarily getting them pregnant, except for one very big exception. Most of the time our producer would just make advances on the lesser stars of the shows he worked on, but the one other time he got someone pregnant was someone who is a much bigger star than Jamie Lynn was or is. In that instance, the actress got an abortion and a healthy sum of money from the producer. Everything was hushed up because the show was making way too much money.

The film — which earned a miniscule $1,190 during its opening weekend — was not screened for critics. It was pulled from screens January 2 due to lack of sales.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly,Texas reader Angie Fayad, 19, hit the Cinemark Movies 10 in Plano, Texas (cost of admission: $1; half-off on Tuesdays), to check it out for Us.

"The flick, about a naive southern girl in NYC, is full of horrible stereotypes and bad dialogue.
"Scenes with Simpson’s love interest, Luke Wilson, are also pitiful. In one, they both unbutton their pants after eating pizza and sigh in sexually suggestive relief.
"Considering her dad, Joe, is a producer, I was creeped out to see Simpson in low-cut tops and sticking her butt out a lot. Bottom line: I want my dollar back."

TMZ was in Century City, Calif. as Brit Brit came -- and went -- from her scheduled deposition today. Why the rush?!
As K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan explained, the depo was originally scheduled to go from 9:45 to 11:45 AM. It poses a little bit of a problem when the person who is to be deposed shows up almost two hours late! Kaplan says the proceedings started around 11:32 AM and he was able to fire off a few questions before having to end at the scheduled time -- thirteen minutes later. So much for asking deep questions!
So why was the popwreck so tardy? He wouldn't say. But he did say another depo has been scheduled. As for seeking sanctions against her, Kaplan says he hasn't decided yet. But he might, if her behavior caused his client -- K-Fed -- any undue "hardships." Hasn't she already?
Johnny Depp has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2007 in Quigley Publishing Company's 76th Annual Poll.
Depp, who starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" in 2007, also placed first in 2006. He first appeared as #6 in 2003 and was second to Tom Cruise in 2005.
The Quigley Poll, conducted every year since 1932, is an annual survey of motion picture exhibitors, which asks them to vote for the ten stars that they believe generated the most box-office revenue in the preceding year for their theatres. Long regarded as one of the most reliable indicators of a Star's real box-office draw because the selections are done by people whose livelihood depends on choosing the films that will bring audiences to their theatres, the Quigley Poll appears annually in Quigley Publishing Company's International Motion Picture Almanac and at http://www.quigleypublishing.com. Will Smith, who starred in "I Am Legend," finished second in the voting followed by George Clooney ("Michael Clayton" and "Ocean's Thirteen") and Matt Damon ("The Bourne Ultimatum" and "Ocean's Thirteen.") Clooney has been in the poll five times to date. Somewhat surprisingly, this year is Matt Damon's first Top Ten mention. Denzel Washington ("The Great Debaters" and "American Gangster") was fifth and Russell Crowe ("American Gangster" and "3:10 to Yuma") was sixth.
The rest of the Top Ten in order were: Tom Cruise #7 ("Lions for Lambs,") Nicholas Cage #8 ("Ghost Rider" and "National Treasure: Book of Secrets,") Will Ferrell #9 ("Blades of Glory") and Tom Hanks #10 ("Charlie Wilson's War.") This is the first year in 24 years, since 1983, that exhibitors have not included a female star in the Top Ten.
Perennial powerhouse Tom Cruise has been in the Top Ten an amazing 20 times since 1983. To date, Cruise has been voted number one seven times. Tom Hanks, Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds and Bing Crosby have all won five times. John Wayne, Doris Day and Shirley Temple each finished first four times, but John Wayne was voted one of the Top Ten Money-Making Stars an astounding 25 times from 1949 to 1974. Exhibitors were also asked to name the Stars of Tomorrow for 2007: one actor and one actress who they feel will be Top Money-Makers in the years to come. The 2007 winners are Shia LaBeouf who starred in "Transformers," "Disturbia" and voice talent in "Surf's Up" and Ellen Page who had a breakthrough performance in "Juno" in 2007.

MADRID - Legendary Swedish disco group ABBA may be one of the world's most successful bands but one of the quartet's members, Benny Andersson, says he has never danced to its bouncy tunes.
"Everytime we had a new song we used to take it and run down to one of the discos in Stockholm and play it at night to see if the mix was good or if we should go back and work on it," he said in an interview broadcast today on Spanish radio Cadena Ser.
"So we heard our music a lot in discos but that's about it, I never dance, I'm sorry," he added when asked how he reacted when he hears the group's hits such as Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia.
Andersson, 61, co-wrote the lyrics to Dancing Queen along with fellow ABBA member Bjorn Ulvaeus.
The song, which features a lead vocal performance by the band's two female members, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, was released as a single in 1976 and went on to become ABBA's biggest hit.
Despite having broken up a quarter of a century ago, ABBA still sells between two and three million albums a year. To date they have sold over 360 million albums, with only Elvis and the Beatles selling more.

Isabeli Fontana, who appeared in the Victoria's Secret catalogue when she was only 16, has walked the runway for most major fashion houses, and will become the face of H&M lingerie in 2008, is proof that even smokingly hot, incredibly successful models can be unlucky in love. "Look at all those ones! No doubt one lucky guy that night took home a story for the ages about the time he collected enough ones off a dirty club floor to buy a Cold Cut Combo from Subway. But without the drink. Or chips. So I guess not the combo, just the sandwich. But still, free sandwich, that’s pretty sweet."
Shortly before discovering that she was pregnant, Lily Allen publicly announced that that she didn’t want to have a baby for several more years because she’s “too young.” (All together now: Doh!)
The 22-year-old songstress did not yet know that she was expecting when she did an interview for the February issue of British Marie Claire, which just hit newsstands. She dismissed her relationship with the baby's father, Ed Simons (pictured above in October 2007), saying that she was "kind of seeing" the Chemical Brothers singer. Then she went on to express concern for people who have children too early.
"People are having kids too young and nothing's being done about it,” she complained to the mag.
See interview highlights after the jump, including Lily's choice remarks about drinking and smoking, which she's probably regretting right about now...
On a related note, I work at a video store, and we always find random things on the shelves. Just a couple days ago, my co-worker comes up to the counter with something in between two movie cases. She says "Here, I have something for you." I only saw a glimpse of it, and thought that it was an utility knife or permanent marker, so I put out my hand. She dropped a used pregnancy test into my hand. It was pretty sick.

Atlanta’s busy food maven Alton Brown recently signed a three-year contract renewal with the Food Network, guaranteeing fresh episodes of “Good Eats” at least through 2010.
Brown’s signature show, produced here in Atlanta, will soon exceed 200 episodes, having been on air for nearly a decade. Production starts again in mid February, according to his line producer Dana Popoff. “Good Eats” was given the coveted 8 p.m. primetime weekday slot this past fall, bumping “Emeril Live!” which ended production last month.
She said he will also continue to co-host “Iron Chef America” and is in talks to do a third season of “Feasting on Asphalt,” his show in which he hits mom-and-pop eateries via motorcycle.
Another local TV personality, designer Vern Yip, has also been given the greenlight for a second season of his show “Deserving Design,” seen on HGTV at 9 p.m. Wednesdays. Most of his show is shot here in Atlanta, too. And he’s a judge on “Design Star,” the popular reality show which is taping its third incarnation.

New York, NY (AHN) - Following a collapse onstage at a show in Sweden three weeks ago, Liza Minnelli is back. Allen Arrow, Minnelli's lawyer, told fans Wednesday that the 61-year-old entertainer and performer is making preparations for her next gig, and will return to the stage as soon as possible. Arrow has said there is nothing to worry about, but he avoided giving details on Minnelli's health scare.
Arrow added that Minnelli will return to rehearsals before the start of next week, and is expected to restart her touring schedule Jan. 12 in Providence, Rhode Island.
Liza Minnelli, the renowned singer, was performing at a Christmas show Dec. 12 in Goteborg, Sweden when she collapsed walking offstage. After consulting Swedish doctors, Minnelli left for the United States the next day.
Arrow said, "She was that sick. You wonder why she had the courage to get on the stage when she shouldn't have."
Minnelli, the daughter of Judy Garland, won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Sally Bowles in the 1972 film "Cabaret." She won an Emmy for the 1972 TV special "Liza with a Z," and Tony Awards in 1974 and 1978.

Singer Mariah Carey has revealed she wants a voice machine like Stephen Hawking.
The ‘Loverboy’ star, 37, who says she has has to stop talking for two days before a big show to give her voice a rest, believes a “robot voice” machine similar to the one used by the paralyzed scientist would be useful.
She said: “Before a big show I have to do ‘vocal rest’ where I’m not allowed to speak for two days. It’s so boring having to write notes to everyone! I need Stephen Hawking’s voice machine for when I’m on vocal rest.
“I’d like a machine where I can just think and it comes out in a robot voice - that would be amazing!”
Mariah also revealed her unique singing voice is down to nodules on her vocal cords.
She added to Britain’s Q magazine: “One of the reasons for my voice is I have nodules on my vocal cords. My mother says I’ve had them since I was a kid. That’s why I have the high register and the belting register and I can still be husky.
“The only thing that really affects my voice is sleep. Sometimes if I’m exhausted I can’t hit the really high notes.”
hmmm...not as fun as the time she said: "when i watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, i can’t help but cry. i mean, i’d love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.” still, it'll do for now.
^^ p.s. party-poopers tell me that quote is not true. let's all pretend it is. it's more fun that way.
In his smash-hit song from 1997,
What will the episode be titled? What's on the menu? Will Miguel set the table? Will Michael deliver a beautiful bouquet of flowers with his van, sporting a brightly colored cashmere sweater? What will the count of gratuitous T.R. butt-shots be? While you'll have to tune in on the 26th to get the answers to the last three questions, the first two will now be revealed -- after the cut!

I find it funny how it's her problem, and that she has to go to the doctor. Meanwhile, the 45 year old father must be in perfect condition to produce children and need not go to the doctor.

Jordin vs. Blake: Who has Shittier Sales?
Album sales: Her eponymous debut disc has sold 283,000 copies since Nov. 20, after starting with the lowest sales by far for an Idol winner.
Track downloads: 1 million (567,000 for the single Tattoo).
Radio airplay: Tattoo is No. 14 on the national all-format airplay chart, No. 8 in the top 40 format.
Creative control: Jordan co-wrote one song on her album, par for the course for Idols, whose strong point is usually singing, not writing or producing.
Promotional activities: Set to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
Album sales: Audio Day Dream has sold 156,000 copies since Dec. 4, a middling pace for an Idol runner-up.
Track downloads: 505,000 (34,000 for single Break Anotha).
Radio airplay: Break Anotha hasn’t hit the national chart but is close to entering the top 40 format chart.
Creative control: Blake co-wrote all but one of the songs on his album, an unprecedented degree of involvement for an American Idol. Source

Idol Winner Dropped from Label
Just before Christmas, rumors began circulating that season 2's "American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard, who released three albums for J Records since 2003, had been dropped from his label. (Studdard continues his management contract with 19 Entertainment.) Now the Hollywood Insider hears that season 5 winner Taylor Hicks has also lost his J Records deal. "Taylor is going to record his next album on his own," said a label rep. "He is no longer on the J Records roster." Hick's latest self-titled album was released on December 12, 2006 and debuted at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 charts. Source
How precious!!!!! Kingston is, of course, rocking sneakers from mommy’s brand L.A.M.B.
Earlier in the day, Gwen, Gavin and Kingston enjoyed lunch in the English countryside village of Beaconsfield. The happy family popped into the local Pizza Express.
Gwen also recently sounded off about living outside of the US: “We spend quite a bit of time in London. It’s really fun because of all the parks. We don’t get that in Los Angeles… I love everything about London except for maybe the greyness sometimes.”

What was Brit's 2007 resolution?
Celebs resolved to turn their lives around in 2007. Instead, many crashed and burned. Experts say that 25 percent of resolutions don't make it past January 8. When the resolver is a celebrity whose very existence is marked by an inability to schedule oneself, we're willing to bet those resolutions have gone the way of Danny Bonaduce's career by 6 a.m. on January 1, when Hyde finally shoos them out and TMZ's videographers head back to the Marriott with full reels. As the new year begins, and stars begin to work off their hangovers, Radar looks back at the most hopeful 2007 New Year's resolutions and where those optimists are today. Court, jail, and therapy are good guesses...

Britney Spears wants her pregnant sixteen year old sister to put her unborn baby up for adoption. The pop mom had warned her sister previously “not to ruin her life by going through with the pregnancy” and it appears that Brit’s advice has lead to a split for the Spears sisters.
A spywitness tells The National Enquirer:
“Britney told Jamie Lynn it was best for her to get an abortion and move on with her life and career and not to look back.”
“Britney is worried that Jamie Lynn has ruined her budding career and she will be trapped in Louisiana with her mom as a struggling single parent.”
A feisty Jamie Lynn told her big sis that she is making “her own decision and not letting anyone tell her to get rid of her baby.”
“Jamie Lynn really thought Britney might have been the only one to understand her feelings about having a baby, since she has two babies of her own,” the Enquirer’s mole added.
Basically, Britney told JLS to get an abortion, she said no, so now shes saying JLS give the baby up for adoption instead.
Original Chicago 7
Last week we learned that Sacha Baron Cohen had been cast in Steven Spielberg’s post-Indiana Jones film The Trial of the Chicago Seven as protestor Abbie Hoffman. Now the rest of the cast seems to be taking shape, and Spielberg may be stacking it with A-listers.
According to a rumor from Vanity Fair, Will Smith, Taye Diggs, Adam Arkin, Kevin Spacey, and Philip Seymour Hoffman could be attached to the project. The film follows the story of Vietnam war protestors who interrupted the 1968 Democratic convention in a violent confrontation, so there are likely plenty of major parts to go around. Screenplay by Aaron Sorkin.
I like that Will Smith’s name is suddenly being tossed around in the same breath with “serious” actors and perennial Oscar contenders like Spacey and Hoffman. Maybe I Am Legend had a little something to do with that. For now though, his involvement and that of the other actors Vanity Fair lists, is just rumored. Spielberg is still busy finishing up Indiana Jones, a movie which, despite producer/writer George Lucas’s negativity to the contrary, we’re all dying to see.

Nickelodeon has decided against working statutory rape turned teenage pregnancy into their hit television series “Zoey 101,” which means Jamie Lynn Spears can officially kiss all but porn and shitty infomercials good-bye. London’s The Sun reports
The show starring Britney Spears’ pregnant little sister has been axed, TV Biz can reveal. The fourth and final season has already been filmed — with two episodes that will see the end of US schoolgirl Zoey. And a show source further revealed: “Nickelodeon bosses are still undecided whether to air season four or not. For now it looks like it has been canned.”
Give it five or ten years and then be on the lookout for the following titles:
“PCA Presents T&A”
“Naked Brothers Gang Bang”
and my personal favorite:
“Zoey: 3 on 1“

Usmagazine.com has learned that Pamela Anderson had divorce papers personally served to Rick Salomon on Dec. 28.
The papers were served two weeks after Anderson first filed for divorce from Salomon, a decision she rescinded just a few hours later with a blog post that they were "working things out."
Seen alone on New Year's Eve, Anderson recently blogged on her site: "2007 was an interesting year for me. What's the definition of insanity? This is the year I do everything I wanted to do – my way... I'm going to be proud of every single day – and make sure I do not veer from the path."
Anderson, 40, stated in her divorce request that she and Salomon were married from Oct. 6 to Dec. 13.
The actress has two sons (Brandon, 11, and Dylan, 9) from her previous marriage with rocker Tommy Lee.
Salomon, the father of two daughters from a previous marriage, is best known for producing and starring in a 2003 sex tape with Paris Hilton.

The Donald is back! After a nine-month hiatus and some star-power infusion, The Apprentice returns tonight with Donald Trump taking in celebrities under his wing in a much-anticipated new season. One person who won't be watching is his nemesis, Rosie O'Donnell.
"I think not," she says sternly while responding to reader mail in a video blog.
That's just a bluff, though, Donald believes.
"She'll be watching," he says on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet after being shown the video. "She won't say that she's watching, but she'll watch it."
The 61-year-old mogul came to blows with the opinionated ex-talk-show host after she chastised him for pardoning the former hard-partying Miss USA, Tara Conner. Their feud played out in the media early last year, but Donald says that's just because they were egged on to do so.
"I'm here to talk about The Apprentice and you show this unattractive woman on the television and you say you think I play it up too much!" he laughs.
Talk did turn to the reality show, in which such stars as Gene Simmons, Stephen Baldwin and Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comaneci will compete. Also among cast -- season one bad girl Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who, after undergoing breast enhancements, has "aged beautifully."
"Omarosa changed a little bit," Donald says coyly. "She got a little heavier. She's fuller."
Helping him in the boardroom will be his business-savvy children, Ivanka and Donald Jr., who made Donald a grandfather last year with the birth of his daughter, Kai Madison. Being a grandfather isn't that much different than being a father for Donald -- his son Barron, 21 months, is just a year older than Kai.
"Barron is one of the youngest uncles in the world -- he's like one month older," he jokes. "Barron is Uncle Barron. Right now, neither can speak. You put these little babies together and it's like one of those things. I always think of uncles -- they were 70! They were old. Barron is on the young side."
The Celebrity Apprentice premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC.
Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova and Russian actress Eliska Sursova have revealed plans to travel to Russia after the New Year to speak out against the ever-increasing Russian sex trade and exploit of women and children. Both Vodianova and Sursova (ova, ova, ova, eh, eh, eh) plan to spend 7 days in Moscow appearing at a multitude of events and social awareness programs aimed at educating and protecting women about and from the dangers of the Russian sex trade.
The event is said to be filmed and offered as educational and public references for women of neighboring countries, including the Ukraine, Czech Republic, Poland and Finland. Aimed at protecting the rights of children, the ‘Ova girls “combined efforts” are predicted to bring much needed attention to the present issue.
Keep fightin’ ladies!
GEMMA'S BALLOON: Gemma Ward will have something other than walking the runways on her mind come February: walking the red carpet in Berlin for the world premiere of her debut feature film.
"The Black Balloon" has just been selected for the "Generation 14 Plus" youth competition of the 58th Berlin International Film Festival, which runs Feb. 7 to 17. Ward costars with an Australian cast that includes Toni Collette and two other newcomers, Rhys Wakefield and Luke Ford, in a story about autism — a subject close to director Elissa Down, who has two autistic brothers.
But will Ward prove to be just another so-so model-turned-actor? Not according to Australian film critic Lynden Barber, who saw a preview and described Ward's performance as "surprisingly impressive" in "one of the strongest Australian films of the last few years."

I have a wild aspiration this year.
Last year, I went for an ear inspection and found out that my left ear has completely gone deaf. It's confirmed that there's neither therapy or cure for it. Despite this news, I still wish to be a singer.
I'm going to persevere and keep on singing even if it's going to take my right ear's ability to hear away too. I'm not going to give up. I'm not going to find any excuses. As a professional singer, I will definitely deliver my best vocals and performance to everybody.
I'm going to do my best! I don't like it this way either. I'm going to do my best! Definitely!
Until that day comes...

Stephen Stills is recovering after surgery for prostate cancer, his wife said Thursday.
In a statement, Stills' wife, Kristen Stills, said the "procedure went remarkably well and he couldn't be better. He will be home by noon tomorrow and the pain will be minimal."
The musician is scheduled to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Utah for the Jan. 25 world premiere of "CSNY/Deja vu," the statement said. The feature movie, directed by Bernard Shakey, was filmed during the 2006 Freedom of Speech tour by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Stills is also scheduled for a North American solo tour this spring in support of his recent "Just Roll Tape" album.
