Swank and Lowe Back Together, Thanks to Pets

Troubled couple Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe are giving their marriage another chance because they can't decide how to divide up their pets.

The couple owns parrots, dogs, a cat and a rabbit and couldn't bear to live without the menagerie, and that fact has prompted the pair to rework their marriage.

A family source says, "Hilary and Chad realized how much they loved each other when they spent time together with their pets. ... They are one big happy family and don't want to break it up."

The couple split last year and officially separated just after the New Year, but they've recently been spotted together trying to patch up their differences.

Travolta and Latifah Confirmed for 'Hairspray'

New Line Cinema has made pay-or-play deals with John Travolta and Queen Latifah to star in the Adam Shankman-directed musical Hairspray, which will begin production in Baltimore and Toronto in September. Variety says Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are producing.

Travolta will play downtrodden housewife Edna Turnblad and Latifah takes on the role of Motormouth Maybelle, a civil rights activist and dance show host in the 1962-set musical.

The film is set for a summer 2007 release.

A nationwide search is on to find a fresh face for the lead, Tracy Turnblad, a chubby teen played by Ricki Lake in John Waters' original film and by Marissa Jaret Winokur in the Tony-winning stage musical.

Open calls have already been held in New York, Atlanta and Chicago, with other cities planned, including Baltimore.

Travolta's deal ended a tug of war for his fall slot between New Line and Fox/New Regency, which had been trying to secure him to play J.R. Ewing in Dallas. Travolta is still eager to play that role, but the film will have to be pushed back if that is to happen.

Shankman, who is also choreographing, will begin rehearsals in the summer. Leslie Dixon wrote the script and Marc Shaiman wrote the music and co-wrote the lyrics with Scott Wittman.

Shaiman and Wittman, who won Tony Awards for score for the Broadway musical, will write several additional songs for the movie, and the singing and dancing for Travolta's character will be greatly expanded beyond what was done onstage.

Latifah reunites with her Bringing Down the House helmer Shankman, as well as Zadan and Meron, who executive produced Chicago. Once again, she's got a role that will display her vocal prowess, the producers said.

Britney Spears upset by internet photos

There was a time when that title would've sent millions of guys on a frenzied porn hunt. Of course that was before Britney stepped in the Ugly-mobile and took a long drive down Chubby Avenue.
In any case, Spears' marriage is in trouble again. Spears, vacationing in Maui, reportedly flew into a rage after photos of her husband in the arms of French dancer Sandy Lakdar surfaced on the Internet.

---A friend says "She was literally kicking and screaming. When she got back to her suite, she was so furious, she destroyed everything in sight. She called Kevin but couldn't reach him." The friend claims Spears has since ordered her husband to pack his bags and "get the hell out" of the house she shares with him.----

Kevin's gotta be approaching platinum level hotel points at the nearest Motel 6. And that's where you want your possibly cheating husband to go - to an anonymous hotel room. Yep, nothing bad could happen there. Good thinking there Brit. Now, if you could just figure out why the DVD player keeps melting your movies and the bread won't quite fit in the toaster.

Brangelina married?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie / Reuters file

ANGELINA Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly married in secret.

Jolie, who is pregnant with the couple's child, was seen wearing a gold band in Paris.

The couple and adopted children Maddox and Zahara are renting an apartment in the city of love.

"Brad and Angelina have their own secret and the rings are part of it. In her mind, they are married," a source said.

It was also claimed Jolie, 30, wants to give birth in June in Africa.

Insiders say she wants the baby to have a kinship with Zahara and Maddox who were born into Third World poverty.

Meanwhile, Julia Roberts reportedly begged her husband for gossip about the Pitt-Aniston-Jolie love triangle when he worked on Mrs & Mrs Smith.

The flame-haired actress allegedly asked cameraman husbby Danny Moder to get all the behind-the-scenes gossip while Pitt and Jolie shot the movie.

The mum-of-two also enjoyed tales of Pitt's split from Aniston when Moder worked on their film, Friends With Money, according to a report in America's New York Post newspaper.

Meanwhile, Julia has revealed she's never been more content since marrying Moder and giving birth to their twins.

The Oscar-winning beauty admits having her children Phinneaus and Hazel has made her realise what is important in life.

Julia - who tied the knot with Moder in 2002 - said: "Danny really shines the light for me.

"He just makes me feel so comfortable. I've been lucky because I have known happy times in my life, but right now it's not just that I'm happy, I'm perfectly content, too."

Okay. Y'know in Friends? The One when Rachel and Ross were gonna get back together but Rachel wrote, like, this 30-page letter explaining her feelings and emotions to Ross that Ross couldn't finish without passing out but he had to try to play it off to Rachel when she asked so he lied so he could just hit it one more time and then he actually read the letter and was like, 'Oh, Hell Naw, Heffa!"?

What? I just like that episode...

Jennifer Aniston may have finally moved on from her marriage to Brad Pitt.

According to In Touch magazine, just days after celebrating her 37th birthday, Aniston reportedly wrote a 3 page letter to her ex-husband.

In the letter she allegedly explained how angry she was with him and outlined her belief that he was involved with Ms Jolie while they were still married.

An insider told the magazine: “Sending it was the only way she felt she could move forward with her life,”

She told Pitt that she “wished him a happy life” but also said that she “never wants to hear from him again.”

Aniston is now living with her new man, former friend of Pitt’s, Vince Vaughn…maybe they will beat Brangelina to the alter?

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

Brad Pitt's Mom Prefers Jennifer Aniston Over Angelina Jolie

Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt reportedly has forbidden his mother to speak with his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, after Jen and Jane Pitt shared intimate details about Pitt's life with his latest lover, actress Angelina Jolie.

According to the Daily Mirror, Pitt, 41, who recently finalized his divorce with Aniston, 36, after five years of marriage, 'flipped out' when he found out that Jennifer called his mother.

The Denver Post writes: "Brad was enraged and he told his mom not to speak to Jennifer any more."

A source adds: "He believes his life with Angelina is none of Jen's business, and she has no right to meddle."

According to a published report, Brad's mom Jane sent a dozen dyed blue roses (Jen's reported favorite) to Aniston for her birthday, according to Star Magazine

"Brad is furious and Jane is defiant," a source told the Star. "Jen is no longer her daughter in law, but Brad's mom says that (Jen) will always be a part of the family as far as she's concerned."

In other developments, Pitt's grandmother recently said that she doesn't believe her grandson plans to marry his lover, Hollywood vixen Angelina Jolie, in the near future, arguing he didn't tell her anything about an imminent event.

Betty Russell, 82, from Oklahoma, says she would love to have Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 11 months, in her house for Christmas.

I am currently trying to locate Ms. Betty Russell. I would like to start now trying to pass myself off as some distant Negro relative to the family so that I may also be invited to the Christmas. Will keep you updated on my progress...

GULF OF ST. LAWRENCE -- The annual seal hunt off the East Coast is a "stain on the character of the Canadian people," music legend Sir Paul McCartney said yesterday as he and his wife, Heather, staged a high-profile, anti-hunt protest on barren ice floes in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The megastar couple called on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to end the centuries-old commercial slaughter by buying back hunters' licences and promoting eco-tourism instead.

"We don't want to see the local people suffer," Sir Paul said after the couple got on their bellies to get a close-up look at newborn harp seals sprawled on an ice pan about 20 kilometres northwest of the Magdalen Islands.

"We're calling upon Stephen Harper and the government to consider looking at this problem . . . in the light of the international objections," Sir Paul said.

"Canada is known as a great nation . . . But this is something that leaves a stain on the character of the Canadian people and we don't think that's right. I don't think the vast amount of Canadians think that's right."

The most recent figures suggest the industry, which started in the 1700s, was worth between $15-million and $20-million annually and employed up to 10,000 people, most of them in Newfoundland.

Supporters argue that income from the harvest is vital to remote communities with few other economic opportunities.

Yesterday's protest was organized by the Humane Society of the United States and the British-based group, Respect for Animals.

The date for the start of this year's hunt has yet to be set, though it usually begins in late March. The 2006 quota is also under review.

"Crash" producer sues Oscars for recognition
Reuters - Mar 02, 04:02

A producer of Oscar-nominated "Crash" has sued the Academy Awards and a key producers' group in a new round in Hollywood's battle over who gets film production credits during Oscar season.

Bob Yari, whose company put up money to make the race- relations drama competing for this year's best film, filed suit on Wednesday against the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America.

It accuses them of illegally denying him the chance to take a credit at Sunday's Oscars for making "Crash."

In a separate action a day earlier, Yari was sued by former business partners Cathy Schulman and Tom Nunan, who alleged he failed to pay them more than $2 million in "Crash" fees and bonuses.

The legal action, coming after months of wrangling between Yari and Schulman, was taken in Los Angeles Superior Court shortly after Oscar ballots were due in, meaning it would have no impact on voting for the movie industry's top awards.

But the lawsuits bring up an issue that has burdened Oscar organizers in recent years as movies have become more expensive and required more producers -- the people who raise money and organize the moviemaking process.

The growing number of producers has caused a problem for the Academy because it often must give out many awards for only one movie. But producers like Yari argue the lack of an award robs them of industry recognition and financial gain.

For last year's Oscars, the Academy deemed that no more than three producers would be eligible to receive the Oscar, which raised a furor over several films, including "The Aviator" and best-film winner "Million Dollar Baby."

This year, the Academy and the Producers Guild, an association that represents Hollywood producers, agreed on a system to determine producer eligibility for awards. Yari's suit called the system "patently unfair."

"It never reveals who makes its awards-crediting decisions, what evidence is considered, or the basis on which a producer's application for award credit is rejected. That alone is a violation of the law," the lawsuit said.

George Hedges, a lawyer for the Producers Guild, called the suit's premise "bogus" and said "credit determinations are made on a confidential basis because people are afraid to step forward and tell the truth because of retaliation. ... That is the norm. That is the standard in the industry."

A member of the Producers Guild's determination committee might not want to be known, for instance, because he or she may need the spurned producer for a future job. Hedges said the Writers Guild of America used a similar system for writing.

An Academy spokesman declined comment.

BTW, can I just say right now how annoyed I am with the Oscars simply because I live on the street that is DIRECTLY against the backstage entrance to the Kodak Theater which means not only is Hollywood Blvd. a mess, but on lovely ol' March 5th, I can pretty much not even leave my apartment without being attacked by security guards and police quizzing me on where I'm going and how I'm getting there.....kiiillllll

Will ‘Brokeback’ avoid Oscar-night ‘Crash’?

LOS ANGELES - Will Oscar go gay or crash? What seemed like a runaway gallop for a pair of gay cowboys may be a closer-than-expected Oscar horse race.

Odds-on favorite “Brokeback Mountain” apparently received a strong last-minute challenge from racially charged drama “Crash” in the battle for best picture at the Academy Awards, interviews with Academy members and Oscar pundits suggest.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences keeps the results of its members’ voting totally secret until the moment of truth — this Sunday’s awards show that will be watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world and hosted for the first time by sharp-tongued comedian Jon Stewart.

There are no exit polls, but that hasn’t stopped the talk of an upset after months of flat-out Hollywood predictions that its top film prize will for the first time go to a gay love story, “Brokeback Mountain,” which has picked up eight nominations, the most of any movie this year.

People Magazine published a special Oscar daily this week in which the first headline was in hot pink and declared: “Oscar: Yep I’m Gay.” This was superimposed over a photograph of the gold statuette, a poster for “Brokeback Mountain” and posters for two other films — “Capote” and “Transamerica.”

“Eight nominations for the gay cowboy movie, two for the tranny (transsexual) road flick, five for the Truman Capote story — at first glance the lesson of this year’s Academy award is simple. The shortcut to Oscar glory is a three-letter word: g-a-y,” People explained.

Terrence Howard reportedly talked out of singing at Oscars.

HOWARD REPORTEDLY TALKED OUT OF SINGING AT OSCARS: Longoria claims Poitier, others said it would be embarrassing for blacks.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Terrence Howard was reportedly approached by a number of black stars requesting that the actor turn down the opportunity to perform his Oscar-nominated song from “Hustle & Flow” during Sunday’s ceremony.

Howard is up for a best actor award for his role as DJay, a Memphis pimp who hopes to become a rapper. The song he sings in the film, “It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp,” has been nominated for an Academy Award as well. But as previously reported, the song’s writers, Three 6 Mafia, will perform the track instead.
According to the UK’s Mirror newspaper, actress Eva Longoria said the actor was approached by several black stars, including Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington and Will Smith, who have asked him not to perform the song during the telecast.

“Sidney Poitier said, ‘Do not get up there and represent the African American community singing about a pimp,’” Longoria told the newspaper.

Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson, who belted the song’s chorus in the film, will join Three 6 Mafia on stage for the Oscar performance and will be allowed to keep the word “b*tches” in the chorus. A spokesman for Gil Cates, the producer of the Oscars telecast, confirmed that the term was not on the list of banned words.

Lyrics in the song that do appear on the list include the N-word, the S-word and the F-word. After being asked to perform the track, Three 6 Mafia members Jordan "Juicy J" Houston, Paul "DJ Paul" Beauregard and Cedric "Frayser Boy" Coleman, went through the lyrics line by line and substituted various words to make it FCC-friendly.

Paris Hilton impersonator Natalie Reid a tranny?

As the race heats up between Paris Hilton's imposters – Natalie Reid has 50 Friendsters, while TV show hopeful Chantelle Houghton has, to our knowledge, zero – so too are their backstories. But can the faux heiresses really compete with Paris' true beginnings, what with her sex tape, Page Sixation, whirlwind 21st birthday tour, Carl's Jr. controversy, and endless boob and crotch exposures?

Yes, it turns out. This report came in late last night from a reader:

Natalie Reid used to perform in the Canadian drag bars under the name "Tess Tickle". She always looked very girly and was VERY skinny, but once she grew her hair out and went on hormones she really began to look amazing.

When she went to work at that drag agency in New York they told her not to market herself as a drag queen because she'd get more jobs as a real woman. She is pretty much a woman now anyway though I doubt she has had the full surgury. Her male name used to be Cameron. I'm not sure if her last name was "Reid" because we generally called her Tess.

Needless to say, all of the preceeding statements require liberal uses of the terms "allegedly," "unconfirmed," and "probably, and most likely, entirely made up."

Charmed Cancelled...

'Charmed' a Casualty of WB-UPN Change

Mar 3, 4:06 PM (ET)

NEW YORK (AP) - The spell is broken. The witches on "Charmed" won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.

A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.

With "7th Heaven" having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.

The final episode of "Charmed" will air on May 21, TV Guide said.

"It's been a hell of a run," Brad Kern, executive producer, told the magazine. "But all good things must come to an end."

Arctic Monkeys shrug off record-breaking NME triumph: 'Who else was going to win?'

Only a few months ago, they were complete unknowns. Then they topped the charts, released the fastest-selling album of all time and have now triumphed at the Shockwaves NME Awards.

The phenomenon that is the Arctic Monkeys made NME history last night by being the first band in the 15 years of the magazine's awards to be named both Best New Band and Best British Band in the same year.

And the youngsters from Sheffield - some of whom are still in their teens - beat Franz Ferdinand, the Kaiser Chiefs, Babyshambles and Oasis to take the Best Track honour with their barnstorming number "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor".

When the band took the podium to accept their final award of the night, their frontman, Alex Turner, said: "We did the triple. In all honesty we're expected to display some gratitude and we are grateful because it is voted for by the people. We're very happy about that.

"But who else was going to be Best British Band? You can't write about something that much and not be Best British Band. We won't win any more, honest.''

Conor McNicholas, NME editor, said: "British music is healthier now than it has been for very many years. Kaiser Chiefs came from nothing to huge success in the space of less than 12 months, but the Arctic Monkeys have done it in six. Things are getting faster and faster.

''For a band with two singles and an album to walk away with Best British Band is a testament to just what an amazing impact they have made and how much the fans love them.''

What's that smell?

Poops, She Did It Again: Usually, it's Kevin Federline who's rumored to be working the craps tables. But according to National Enquirer snoopers, Britney Spears was the one on a bad roll recently at a swank Beverly Hills eatery. The pop star reportedly became a poop star when son Sean Preston rolled a number two in his trousers and Brit decided to change him--right there on the table! Nearby patrons could be excused if they felt like throwing up, but it was the manager who threw up his hands, telling one guest, "It's Britney Spears--what can we do?" Nothing, apparently, but call the tabloids to sell them a steaming hot...story. Clearly, something here stinks.

More Britney news...

Britney Spears has splashed out £3 million on a plush Hawaiian love nest.

The pop babe fell in love with the waterfront mansion - which includes a pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi - during a recent trip to Maui, her favourite Hawaiian island.

She reportedly hopes the idyllic home will be the perfect place for her and husband Kevin Federline - who have a four-month-old son, Sean Preston, together - to rekindle their troubled romance.

A source is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place.

Will Paris Hilton star in a TV show with her impersonator?

The woman who made headlines when she received the VIP treatment and bagged freebies from people who thought she was the partying hotel heiress claims that her people are in talks with Hilton’s people about the real Hilton appearing on the fake Hilton’s reality show. Chantelle Houghton, a 22-year-old winner of the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother, is starting up her own show, Chantelle: Living The Dream, and says that her network is in talks with Hilton’s agent.

“I think it could happen and it would be so exciting to meet her,” Houghton told the UK paper The Star. “Basically it’s a case of ‘my people’ are talking to ‘her people’ and we’ll see what happens.”

Suspect arrested in robbery of 'Lost' actor

Police have arrested the man who allegedly robbed at gunpoint "Lost" TV series actor Josh Holloway and his wife in their home in October.

The suspect, 21-year-old Ruben E. Royce, was already being held on a previous burglary charge at the Oahu Community Correctional Center when he was arrested at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Royce has not yet been charged in the Holloway robbery.

Capt. Frank Fujii, who held a news conference regarding the arrest, could not explain why Royce was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery, rather than second-degree. First-degree robbery, a Class A felony, carries a maximum 20-year sentence.

Royce has two prior felony convictions, one for auto theft and one for a parole violation, and he was also convicted of abuse of a household member, Fujii said.

On Oct. 18, police arrested Royce at Keanu Street and 7th Avenue near Aliiolani Elementary School on a warrant and on suspicion of first-degree burglary, in which he allegedly broke into a Waipahu home earlier that week and assaulted his girlfriend. Police shot pepper spray pellets and wooden rounds to subdue him.

Holloway, whose tough-guy character Sawyer on the hit ABC show "Lost" sometimes carries a gun, found himself at the other end of a handgun when the suspect entered the couple's home at 4 a.m. Oct. 12.

Police would not say whether Royce knew he was entering the home of the actor.

Holloway told "Entertainment Tonight": "When someone has a gun in your face, don't give them any reason to pull the trigger. That's it, there's nothing you can do. If someone is pointing a 9 mm at me, I'm not moving.

"I just covered my wife and protected her, and that was it. And off he went," Holloway said.

Court records in a temporary restraining order taken out by Royce's mother show that his parents live near the Holloways in Hawaii Kai.

Jamie-Lynn on Ex: 'There's No Hatred'

With 21 months between the fifth and much-awaited sixth season of The Sopranos, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, 24 – who plays Mafia princess Meadow Soprano – used her downtime to tackle different roles, filming two upcoming comedies and making a cameo in an episode of Will & Grace.

But it was also a period of sadness, with her two-year marriage to her manager, A.J. DiScala, 35, ending last September. That wasn't the first challenge Sigler has had to face. When the actress, who lives in New York, started on the HBO series in 1998, she was struggling with an eating disorder, which she's since gotten under control.

"I've definitely been in the public eye during years when girls go through a lot of changes," she tells PEOPLE in its latest issue. "But I'm more confident now in the person I am."

On suddenly being single
"To come from where you thought your life was set – that this is who you're going to be with, that you're going to start having children with him very shortly – for it all of a sudden to kind of all not be there, it's scary. I met A.J. when I was 19. We started dating when I was almost 21. But from the day I met him he was the man in my life. So I basically went from being in high school and having my parents take care of me to A.J. being that caretaker.

"Now, being 24 and single again, you learn a lot about yourself. This is the time to find out what Jamie wants. Who Jamie is. But with A.J. and I there's no hatred, there's no anger. I still love him very much. I know he loves me. It's just what's best for both of us."

On her friends Nick and Jessica
"It's funny, 'cause A.J. and I, when we met Nick (Lachey) and Jess (Simpson), we really bonded because we were both these young married couples. And it's kind of ironic that we both separated in the same year. A.J. and Nick are extremely close, and Jess and I are close, and we all respect and love each other just the same."

On starting the Jamie-Lynn Sigler Foundation, which helps girls with eating disorders
"I was mentoring a bunch of girls at this treatment facility in Malibu and we still keep in touch via e-mail, but one of the girls who was in the house had to leave, in the middle of treatment, because her insurance ran out. She's not doing well now. I've heard of two people who passed away because of this. So that's one of the main focuses of my foundation (making sure those in need get help). I think people view it as this vain disease. But it's becoming an epidemic."

Joe Rogan vs. MySpacer

If you're a 20-year old MySpacer and have ever had the urge to email Joe Rogan telling him how much he sucks, I'd highly advise against it. Not only will he call you a loser and brag about how he's a multi-millionaire Tae Kwan Do champion, he'll also post the whole ordeal on his own MySpace blog. And then he'll probably roundhouse kick you in the face, because that's what you get for going to college and not becoming a multi-millionaire Tae Kwan Do champion. Education is for the weak!

Here's the link to his blog:

Note to Joe: it doesn't make you look good when you engage in a fight with a 20-year-old college kid via MySpace. Especially when the only insult you can hurl at him is "fatty." Well done.

Jackson 5 Drummer Slain

Johnny Jackson, the man who kept the beat for the Jackson 5, and cousin to Michael, Janet, Tito et al., was found stabbed to death in his Gary, Indiana, home Wednesday.

According to local police, officers were called to Johnny Jackson's house at approximately 11:30 p.m. after a neighbor phoned in a noise complaint. The caller, who lived above Jackson, reported that the musician and an unidentified woman were having a heated exchange on the first floor of the building.

The police entered Jackson's home and found the 54-year-old unconscious with a stab wound to his chest. Less than an hour later, the Lake County coroner's office pronounced him dead.

The person who placed the emergency call told cops she went downstairs after hearing the commotion and found her neighbor lying in living room. It was then she contacted the police.

Police have no details on the woman Jackson was supposedly arguing with, including how she knew the drummer, although the neighbor described the woman as an acquaintance of Jackson's.

No arrests have been made. The case is being treated as a homicide investigation.

Jackson joined his famous cousins' singing troupe in the late 1960s, replacing the group's original drummer, Milford Hite. While Motown sessions musicians played on most of the group's greatest cuts, including "I Want You Back," "ABC," "I'll Be There" and "Never Can Say Goodbye," Johnny Jackson was the band's concert drummer. After the group disbanded, he joined an outfit called the White Doves.

There has always been some debate as to whether or not Johnny Jackson was a blood relative or legitimate cousin of the hit-making family; however, it is believed that he was a nephew of patriarch Joe Jackson.

It's not immediately known whether Johnny Jackson had ever married or had children; he was living alone at the time of his death.

"It hurts me so bad," Jackson's childhood friend and White Doves bandmate Anthony Acoff told the Associated Press. "I called him that night. We were supposed to go to a jam session."

"He was a show drummer," said another old friend, Gordon Keith (who has sued the Jackson 5 over some early recordings). "There were times that he would outshine Michael at their shows."

E-mail allegedly from Travis' brother-in-law says Travis and Sarah (The Bachelor) have broken up

The fact that Travis and Sarah have completely disappeared from planet is probably the best evidence that their relationship didn’t survive in the post-Bachelor months, but now there’s even more unsubstantiated gossip that suggests the two are over.'

Ewan McGregor Wants To Record An Album

Ewan McGregor wants to launch a music career, with the help of his friend Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri. The Scottish actor sang on film in Moulin Rouge and Down With Love and on stage on London's West End in "Guys And Dolls." Now he wants to hit the studio to record an album with the help of Spiteri.

He says, "I love music and I'd love to record something. Me and Sharleen Spiteri are good friends. Me and Sharleen should duet."

Meanwhile, the actor has several films in production, including "Scenes Of A Sexual Nature," "Stormbreaker," "Flora Plum," "Miss Potter," "Gnomeo And Juliet" and "The Great Pretender."

I would love if Ewan recorded something, anything! It was very disappointing when they decided not to do a CD of Guys And Dolls with Ewan as Sky Masterson.

March 4, 2006 -- IT'S a match made in MTV reality TV hell: "Newlyweds" hubby Nick Lachey is hooking up with "Laguna Beach" babe Kristin Cavalleri. The swingin' single ex of Jessica Simpson introduced his mother to bubbly blonde Cavalleri last week over dinner at Palomino in Westwood, Calif., tattles an eatery insider. Lachey had previously enjoyed some rebound relief with buxom Miss Kentucky Elizabeth Ann Arnold, while Cavalleri had been dating former Olympian Bruce Jenner's son, Brody. But Cavalleri is playing it cool: When she arrived at Koi in L.A. the other night and saw Lachey and a group of buddies having dinner, she beat a hasty exit to meet some girlfriends for drinks at the Four Seasons hotel. michael ian black interview.

michael ian black performed at my school on wednesday night, and i got an interview for my school paper. it went pretty well for the most part, but at one point i slipped and told him "i love you" in front of his wife. that was pretty awkward, but they're both really nice.

here's the interview, if anyone's interested.

Interview with
Michael Ian Black

EDIT: for those of you who politely (and not so politely) commented about the ridiculous questions, the lack of information, or his seemingly cold demeaner, here's some insight:

for the paper, this interview is going to be cut down to less than 500 words. that's enough to include only the real questions. the others are fairly obscure references to other things he's done/written/said and have only two purposes: a) filler, and b) to supply the paper with a few random quotes for any other MIB related material they might print.

the lack of information has a lot to do with the amount of time we had to conduct the interview (less than 10 minutes), and the fact that i knew it would be cut down tremendously. the paper would much rather print a few short answers than one lengthy one. and no, the size isn't debateable; the editors have decided reading is hard, so they're cutting even features down to 500 words or less.

his coldness is probably due to the fact that, in interviews, you take out the "hahas" and the "hehes" and the ums, you knows, likes, etc. he was actually very personable. he even smiled.

and, finally, for those of you who think, despite the above circumstances, the questions are terrible and he shouldn't have been interviewed by a fan, we were pretty much stuck. we found out we got the interview pretty much right before he went on, so there was no time to do research. as a result, the interviewer had to be someone who already knew a lot about him, so the job went to me and i came up with the questions just before and during his act.

if you still think it's shitty, i'm sorry to disappoint you, his adoring fans.

EDITEDIT: that was not supposed to be so huge.
