The Mystery Of Jessica Simpson's Black Eye Revealed!

Jessica Simpson stunned onlookers when she showed up for dinner at Suhsi Roku in Los Angeles on Wednesday night with what appeared to be a black eye.

No, Papa Joe did not punch her in the face for refusing to go out with Steve-O for publicity. Instead, a top Hollywood beauty expert, who - for obvious reasons - wishes to remain anonymous, exclusively reveals to PerezHilton.com that Jess' eye drama could be a result of some botched Botox.

"That black eye could have easily been caused from over-injecting Botox around the eye area," reveals our beauty maven.

Jess needs to fire her plastic surgeon! Plus, some therapy sessions would be good too. At 25, she's way too young to be getting work done.

Oh, and what the fuck is up with her lips?

"Probably just cheap Restalyn (a filler)," says our expert.

Note to self: hire Sharon Stone's plastic surgeon when we want and get some much-needed beautifying.

Ludacris Launches Cerebral Palsy Awareness Campaign.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Ludacris' non-profit organization, The Ludacris Foundation, has partnered with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) to launch a public awareness campaign focused on bringing attention to the disproportionate rate of disability in minority communities.

Studies show that while African-Americans make up only 13 percent of the U.S. populations, they account for almost 20 percent of all people with disabilities. More than 35 percent of African-American families reported having a family member with a disability in 2000.

To highlight these disparities, Ludacris will appear in a public service announcement entitled "Dream," along with Ruje'anne Duplessis, a teenager born with cerebral palsy, whose dream was to have Ludacris take her to prom.

Ludacris heard about Duplessis' wish after she contacted BET for some help in finding the Atlanta rapper. Jumping at the chance to make her wish come true, Ludacris flew to Massachusetts to escort Ruje'anne to the Central High prom.

"The prom is a very important part of a young lady's life, and it hit my heart to share it with her," Ludacris told the Sacramento Observer. "Ruje'anne might have a disability, but that doesn't make her different from anyone else. She's still dreaming and making a difference."

The new public service announcement featuring Ludacris will run in select cities nationwide and is available online at http://www.ucp.org.

Tiger ‘Apprentice’? Trump sets golf reality show.

Real estate mogul will hold televised tourney for non-pros.

Call it “The Apprentice” for golf’s next millionaire.

Donald Trump announced plans Tuesday to turn his reality-TV touch to Tiger Woods wannabes in the Trump Million Dollar Invitational. The televised tournament will exclude pros from the major golf tours and instead feature players with unique human-interest stories.

“I am personally going to give $1 million to the one golfer who can prove they have the skill and nerve it takes to survive under the most extreme pressure,” said Trump, who became an unlikely TV darling with his NBC reality show “The Apprentice.”

The fine print, however, suggests otherwise.

The $1.5 million prize pool will come from the pockets of the 100 golfers — or their backers, who each have to ante up a $15,000 entry fee — in a competition staged without the benefit of handicap.

The players will also pay for their own expenses, travel costs and meals at the Trump International Golf Club on Canouan Island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean.

Would-be competitors must also have a way with words. They have to pen essays of their life stories and submit them by March 31 at www.trumpmilliondollar.com.

The event, to be played May 21-26 at the Raffles Resort on Canouan Island and aired on ESPN on July 2, is open to pros or amateurs 18 or older regardless of gender. Women will play from forward tees.

Ten players will advance from a three-day, 54-hole competition to a nine-hole playoff where, in a twist ripped straight from reality TV’s playbook, one golfer will be eliminated on each hole until there are only two contestants.

The final two will play the last hole for the $1 million prize. The runner-up will receive $150,000. Prize money will be paid down to the 10th-place finisher, who takes away $20,000.

Ties for worst score on each hole will be broken by skills competitions, including putting, chipping, bunker shots and driving accuracy.

“I’d love to play,” said Trump, who owns several other golf courses and is a skilled golfer. “But wouldn’t it be embarrassing if I won?”

Mischa Barton's eating resolution

'The O.C.' babe Mischa Barton has made a New Year's resolution to start piling on the pounds.

The super-skinny star also wants to stop smoking, which she knows will help her add some curves to her super slender figure.

A source said: "Mischa wants to give up cigarettes because of the health issues, but also because she knows it will improve her figure."

"She's convinced she can stop smoking and get a little curvier, too, if she puts her mind to it."

Meanwhile, Mischa is reportedly on the verge of splitting from boyfriend Cisco Adler because of his possessive behaviour.

The couple had a blazing row on New Year's Eve after Whitestarr rocker Cisco became jealous of Mischa spending too much time with her male friends.

A source said: "Cisco was very angry that Mischa wanted to hang out with some of her other friends, and not exclusively with him.

"There was a lot of slamming doors, stomping around and swearing at their bungalow at the hotel."

As long as you can get away with it.

Screen star Teri Hatcher is reluctant to have surgery, as she finds the concept of artificially fighting the ravages of time "weird".

The slender brunette won't rule out the possibility of cosmetic enhancement - but she is resisting for as long as possible.

She says, "I'd never say never, but I'm not thinking about it at the moment.

"For as long as I can get away with it, I'd rather just be natural. The idea of putting stuff in your body is weird to me."

'Ethiopian Idols' Offers Hope Amid Poverty

By ANTHONY MITCHELL, Associated Press Writer
Sun Jan 8, 3:17 PM ET

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - "Ethiopian Idols" is a far cry from the glamour and glitz of its U.S. and British inspirations.

Yellowed satin sheets and signs taped to the walls provide the backdrop for a set hastily constructed each week in a shabby hotel restaurant while waiters peer in. Performers have to contend with frequent power cuts, feedback from poor sound equipment and ringing cell phones.

But "Ethiopian Idols" has it own answer to Simon Cowell — the acerbic judge on the American and British versions. Feleke Hailu disses contestants by telling them they "sing like donkeys."

The show has fast won the highest ratings on otherwise dull state-run TV.

While "Ethiopian Idols" cannot promise the riches or fame enjoyed by American and British winners, it does offer hope in an impoverished country where most of the 77 million people cannot afford a TV set.

The show also has broken new cultural ground in the Horn of African nation.

Feleke's catch phrase — "alta fakedem," or "you didn't make it" in Amharic — may seem positively meek compared to Cowell's biting reviews. But it has caused a sensation in this tradition-bound culture.

"Most of the time I tell (contestants) to go back to their old jobs, forget about a career in singing," the 46-year-old saxophonist said. "Or I tell them they sing like donkeys.

"Sometimes they get angry. The girls burst into tears and a few weeks ago one singer threw a stick at me after I told him he had failed to get through to the next round.

"The problem is in our culture. It is not common to tell the truth or criticize. People cannot take criticism."

Fan Ejigahu Melesse says at first she and her friends were astounded by the bluntness of Feleke and his three fellow judges.

"I couldn't believe what they were saying to the singers," said the 25-year-old shop assistant who lives in the capital, Addis Ababa. "We just don't do that here in Ethiopia. But gradually we became addicted because it was so refreshing. Now we don't miss a show and think Feleke's comments are hilarious."

While fans may be captivated, performers have been stung.

The judges "are criminals," said Natinel Amsalu, a 17-year-old student and amateur crooner who was raked over the coals by the all-male panel after his croaky rendition of "My Love," a local song made popular by Ethiopian star Theowdros Kassahun.

"I am a very good singer but the judges kept saying I had serious problems reaching the high notes," said Natinel, who practices each day in front of a mirror. "They did not even listen to me. What they have done is a very bad thing. They made me look a fool."

Natinel paid $10 of his hard-earned savings to travel 300 miles from Gonder in northern Ethiopia to Addis Ababa to compete.

Contestants like Natinel are drawn by the prospect of winning a local record deal and as-yet-undetermined cash prize. The yearlong program scheduled to end in September was put together on a budget of $100,000.

Medina Mohammed, a 17-year-old student who made it through one elimination round after traveling some 180 miles from the Afar region to compete, said her family watches the show in a bar.

"We love it," she said.

"Feleke wasn't too tough, but his reputation made me nervous," added Medina, who has tribal scars on her cheeks and performed in the multicolored beads and red cloth of her Afar ethnic group. She sang a traditional love song, "I'm So Glad You Came."

Judges described her voice as "honey-like," and her appearance was rebroadcast on a special for Ethiopian Christmas.

Some contestants tackle songs made popular by
Whitney Houston and Britney Spears, but most sing local love songs and appear draped in the traditional national dress of white cotton or fabulous ethnic costumes.

After the four judges whittle down the original 2,000 contestants to 96, the winner will be decided by the public by a phone-in ballot. This is the first time such polling will be used in Ethiopia.

That and other details were copied from the "Pop Idol" original without permission from its British producers, Fremantle Media, acknowledged co-producer Jamal Ahmed.

Fremantle, which own the global intellectual rights, said it does not want to force "Ethiopian Idols" off the air but does intend to charge a fee per episode.

Bay Area Rap Group's Song Chosen for Winter Olympics.

Rap-rock group Flipsyde has the upcoming Winter Olympics to thank for the relaunch of its album, "We the People," which originally came out last summer.

The Interscope album's re-release in December (with new track "Happy Birthday") coincided with NBC naming lead single "Someday" the theme song of its games coverage.

The infectious track is heard -- and identified -- in TV spots that began airing a few weeks ago. The music video-like ads intertwine footage of the Bay Area quartet and such athletes as Apolo Anton Ohno and Michelle Kwan.

"This a great way to get our music heard," Flipsyde frontman Piper told Billboard. "It's also a great way to cut through the clutter."

Indeed. "We the People" sold 500 units in the week ending December 25, 2005, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD doubled its sales in the week ending January 1. Since its re-release, "We the People" has sold 2,000 of its 8,000 total.

For its part, NBC was looking for an edgy song filled with hope and achievement, says Barbara Blangiardi, the network's VP of marketing and special projects. Perhaps more importantly, it desired a song that would resonate with the much-coveted 18- to 34-year-old demographic. "When we heard 'Someday,' we knew it was the song," she says.

In addition to the TV spots, NBC hopes to reach its target audience through off-channel platforms, including the Internet and in-store play.

Interscope is using the "director's cut" version of the spot as a tool to push the song and group at radio and retail, Interscope VP of film and TV marketing Tony Seyler says.

With NBC and the Olympics on its side, Seyler says he and his Interscope colleagues understand that they must now connect the dots between Flipsyde, "the Winter Olympics band," and Flipsyde, the promising act.

Whatchoo know about bikini waxing?

Screen star Kate Beckinsale was shocked by her Pearl Harbour co-star Ben Affleck's negative stance on English women - and made it her "mission" to smash his prejudices.

Affleck insisted girls from across the Atlantic didn't match up to the image-conscious Los Angeles ladies he was used to.

She recalls, "Ben Affleck used to say, 'English girls are really bad at doing their bikini waxes, and smell.'

"I thought, 'I will make it my mission to prove you wrong.'"

Shelley Winters, two-time Academy Award winner, dies at 85

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Shelley Winters, the forceful, outspoken star who graduated from blond bombshell parts to dramas, winning Academy Awards as supporting actress in "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "A Patch of Blue," has died. She was 85.

Winters died of heart failure early Saturday at The Rehabilitation Centre of Beverly Hills, her publicist Dale Olson said. She was hospitalized in October after suffering a heart attack.

The actress sustained her long career by repeatedly reinventing herself. Starting as a nightclub chorus girl, she advanced to supporting roles in New York plays, then became famous as a Hollywood sexpot. A devotee of the Actors Studio, she switched to serious roles as she matured, and she won her Oscars portraying mothers. Still working well into her 70s, she had a recurring role as Roseanne's grandmother on the 1990s TV show "Roseanne."

In 1959's "The Diary of Anne Frank," she was Petronella Van Daan, mother of Peter Van Daan and one of eight real-life Jewish refugees in World War II Holland who hid for more than a year in cramped quarters until they were betrayed and sent to Nazi death camps. The socially conscious Winters donated her Oscar statuette to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

In 1965's "Patch of Blue," she portrayed a hateful, foul-mouthed mother who tries to keep her blind daughter, who is white, apart from the kind black man who has befriended her.

Ever vocal on social and political matters, Winters was a favored guest on television talk shows, and she demonstrated her frankness in two autobiographies: "Shelley, Also Known as Shirley" (1980) and "Shelley II: The Middle of My Century" (1989).

She wrote openly in them of her romances with Burt Lancaster, William Holden, Marlon Brando, Errol Flynn, Clark Gable and other leading men.

"I've had it all," she exulted after her first book became a best seller. "I'm excited about the literary aspects of my career. My concentration is there now."

Nicole and Steve-O strike again

Three dates in less than one week? That's serious...and fast!

Nicole Richie and her new boyfriend, admitted drug user, drug peddler and amateur pornographer Steve-O have a lot in common: they both love to PARTY.

The couple showed up at Los Angeles club Arena on Thursday night, a source tells PerezHilton.com exclusively, and things got pretty wild.

The lovebirds cozied up in the VIP area, where they were "drinking it up," says our source.

At one point in the evening, the hard-partying twosome decided to head down and kick it with the commoners, where Steve-O proceeded to "take off his clothes to the point where he was butt naked," reveals our shocked eyewitness.

He then jumped on stage and started to make an ass out of himself, which is not hard for the Jackass star.

"Nicole was laughing it up and enjoying the whole thing," says our source, who adds that Richie continued giggling as Steve-O was escorted off the stage by security and told to put his clothes back on.

God, how we miss A.M.!!!!

Then, our spywitness - with a keen eye and a good ability to eavesdrop - overheard the druggie (that would be Steve-O) ask "where the weed was at and where he could get more."

Nicole and the Jackass seem perfect for each other!

Hank Williams Jr. Visits Coal Mine Survivor.

Image hosting by TinyPicImage hosting by TinyPic

Recording artist Hank Williams Jr. and coal miner Randal McCloy Jr. -- a fan of Williams' music -- became connected through music and tragedy.

"You have to understand -- Hank Williams Jr. -- this story is very heartfelt to him," Williams' publicist Kirt Webster said Monday.

Webster was referring to McCloy's struggle for life after an explosion Jan. 2 in Sago Mine No. 1 in Upshur County. McCloy, 26, who is at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virigina, received carbon-monoxide poisoning during the nearly 42 hours he was trapped after the blast. The other 12 miners trapped with him after the explosion died.

Williams, 56, was hospitalized after he "fell off a mountain" in 1974, Webster said. Because McCloy's condition hits home with Williams, he has spoken with the family, has sent gifts and visited McCloy at the hospital Wednesday, Webster said.

On Monday, McCloy remained in critical condition, said Bill Case, WVU Hospitals spokesman. "There are no major improvements to report," Case said.

However, McCloy is breathing a little better on his own, with less assistance from a ventilator, and is moving his arms and limbs in response to negative stimulus, he said.

McCloy's vital signs are stable, and doctors are monitoring and evaluating a fever, said Dr. Larry Roberts, director of WVU's Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center. Hemodialysis -- blood cleansing -- is continuing.

He remains in a medically induced coma.

McCloy, of Simpson, was set to begin physical therapy Monday, his doctors said Monday morning. Therapy includes moving McCloy's arms and legs for him, Case said.

Williams suffered a similar medical emergency, Webster said.

"When (Williams) fell off a mountain many years ago, his skull was cracked in half, one eye fell out of its socket, and he was in the hospital much in the state as Randal is in. We did not know if he was going to live," Webster said. "So when I called Hank at home and told him the news (of McCloy), he got very emotional," Webster said. "That's why McCloy's story brings it home."

Williams could not be reached for comment Monday, as he was on a field trip with his children, Webster said.

McCloy was first treated at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon before being taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He had a few days of hyperbaric oxygen treatment at Allegheny General Hospital last week, and was returned to Ruby Memorial Hospital on Saturday, according to WVU officials.

Since McCloy's accident, Williams learned that McCloy is a fan, and has sent flowers and gifts to the family, Webster said.

Williams' gifts included CDs, Tshirts, a tour jacket and other Hank Williams Jr. merchandise, Webster said. Williams has spoken with family members as well, Webster said.

Publicist Denies Denzel's Divorcing.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Denzel Washington's publicist is angrily denying rumors the movie star is struggling to save his marriage.

The reports have spread following an article in the new issue of tabloid National Enquirer, which alleges Washington and his wife of 22 years, Pauletta, are on the verge of splitting up.

The Enquirer claims Washington has moved out of the couple's Hollywood home following a row about alleged infidelities.

But Washington's publicist Alan Nierob has slammed the story, stating, "There's no truth to it whatsoever."

This is what the National Enquirer said....

Denzel Washington and his wife of 22 years may be headed for trouble — and insiders say it's because of the fear that the Oscar winner is a serial cheater! Sources have told The National Enquirer that 50-year-old Denzel's long-rumored extra-marital activity — particularly rumors of a relationship with pretty actress Sanaa Lathan, 34 — have caused major upheaval in what was once considered one of Hollywood's most rock solid marriages.

Said a friend: "People have speculated about Denzel having affairs for a long time. But I wouldn't be surprised if the recent reports about Sanaa have gotten under his wife Pauletta's skin like nothing else has."

Indeed sources say the couple could be headed for divorce after a furious bust-up that ended in Denzel moving out of the couple's $10 million house in California.

Beyoncé Breaks Wedding News.

With her singing career, acting chops and fashion line, the multi-talented BEYONCÉ is no stranger to the spotlight, but one thing she has kept under wraps is her relationship with her longtime boyfriend, musician JAY-Z -- until now.

"Right now the tabloids are saying I'm pregnant, and they're naming the baby, it's hilarious," she tells the upcoming issue of Cosmopolitan, on newsstands January 17. "I don't know when I'll want to get married, I never pictured myself as a bride, but after my sister's wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I'd want. I don't think I want a big one."

Beyoncé, who was chosen as the magazine's "Fun Fearless Female of the Year," has been dating her fellow music-maker for four years and although marriage may not be in the immediate future, she does tell the magazine she's interested in kids -- in due time! "I babysat for my nephew last week," she says, "And [motherhood] is not as glamorous as it looks."

But she says she hopes to have it all one day. "I'm sure my priorities will change," she says. "My mother was such a great mother and is still such a big part of my life. I want my kids to feel that way about me. I want to be in their lives."

When she starts a family, she knows that her life will change dramatically. "I don't want to be away a lot, so I'm sure I'll slow down," she says. "But there are so many people who do both."

Right now she's enjoying her acting opportunities. 'The Pink Panther' with STEVE MARTIN hits theaters in February and she's currently working on the big-screen version of the Broadway hit Dreamgirls. When shooting wraps she plans on working on her second solo album.

She's also sure to make time for her main squeeze Jay-Z as they try to keep it as private as possible. "I don't try to hide it, there's nothing to hide," she says of their relationship. "People see us, but we just don't talk about it and I think that's absolutely helped us."

It's when couples start to reveal details when the trouble starts, she believes. "The minute you start talking about it, that's all people want to talk about," she says. "Then the really big rumors start happening."

Maybe I'm blind, but I searched a week back & didn't see this posted.

Teenage star makes her own gowns.

Image hosting by TinyPic

Hollywood newcomer Q'ORIANKA KILCHER is so sickened by the high price of Hollywood style she's making her own costumes for premieres and awards shows.

The teenage actress, who plays COLIN FARRELL's love interest in new movie THE NEW WORLD, insists she could never wear a $10,000 (GBP5,500) gown on the red carpet while people in her native Peru struggle for basic education.

She says, "I could start a school for that amount of money in Peru, where my people are; a music school or computer school where they could learn how to be lawyers and learn how to protect their land.

"So I just started sketching and making my own clothes with my mom.

"If I see something I like, I make it myself. I made my own dress for the premiere... I made four of them."

Diaz and Timberlake expecting baby?
Saturday, January 14 2006, 15:15 GMT -- by Daniel Kilkelly

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake are expecting a baby together, the Daily Star claims today.

Timberlake's mother, Lynne Harless, apparently revealed the couple's happy news to her neighbours in Memphis, Tennessee.

"Lynne told us about a neighbour who had gone all out for Christmas because she'd had her first grandchild over - and she couldn't help grinning," one friend told the newspaper.

"She was asked if she was keeping a secret and burst out that it was going to be 'a very exciting year for Justin and Cameron' and that she hoped to have a baby over next December 25 - then added, 'I'm knitting booties.'

"She's been planning a huge birthday party for Justin's 25th at the end of the month and seemed to be hinting there could be an announcement then. It seemed pretty obvious that Cameron's pregnant."

Movie Actor Baldwin Launches Anti-Porn Action, Promises Newspaper Ads

By E&P Staff

Published: January 14, 2006 2:50 PM ET

NEW YORK A new sex-oriented business is opening not far from his home outside New York City, and actor Stephen Baldwin is hoping to stop it, possibly with the help of newspaper ads.

One of the family of Baldwin brother (Alex, Billy, Daniel) actors, Stephen Baldwin has become known as a Christian activist, while continuing to gain movie roles.

On Friday, Baldwin, 39, stood outside the "adult entertainment" shop and photographed workers and their vehicles as they got the store ready to open, according to an account in the Journal-News of White Plains, N.Y.

Baldwin told the paper he planned to stand outside the store every day and photograph the license plates of the store's patrons to aid in tracking down their identities. He vowed to take out a full-page newspaper advertisement once a month to publish those names.

"I won't stop until it shuts down," he said. He has said the store will attract crime, lower property values and hurt the quality of life in the largely middle-class town, which is known as something of an artist's enclave.

"I don't want it this close to my house," Baldwin, who lives about a mile away, told the paper. His home just outside Nyack has a sign bearing scripture out front. "I'm personally not OK with pornography," he added. "I definitely think that it adds to the moral decay or our culture."

Local police "responded to the property last night after Baldwin called them about 9:30 p.m.," the newspaper related. "He said the workers were giving him a hard time for taking photographs. Police told Baldwin he was free to protest and take photographs as long as he was not on the store's property."

Conan's Endorsement No Joke to Some Finns

HELSINKI, Finland - Finland's president finds her traditional support among women and the Social Democratic Party base, but lately to the surprise of many Finns - and her opponents in Sunday's election - she has gotten an endorsement of a different sort.
The redheaded late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien has been promoting President Tarja Halonen's re-election bid as part of a long-running joke about their supposed physical similarities.

"Why do I support Tarja Halonen? Because she's got the total package: a dynamic personality, a quick mind, and most importantly - my good looks," the comedian, whose show is broadcast on cable in Finland, said in a statement to The Associated Press.

Whether O'Brien has a real interest in Finnish politics is uncertain, but his gags and mock campaign ads for Halonen have not gone unnoticed in this Nordic country of 5.2 million.

"Late Night with Conan O'Brien" airs five days a week on SUBTV, a Finnish cable channel, with a few days' delay. Every time he mentions Finland or Halonen, local tabloids report it prominently.

Brittany Murphy to become a singer?

I was searching around for some information on Nelly Furtado (I just so happen to love her... shoot me ;x) and found this article that happens to talk about Brittany Murphy becoming a possible singer. Just read.

Paul Oakenfold Prepares New Album A LIVELY MIND

We have some initial details on Paul Oakenfold's new album "A Lively Mind", due in April on Maverick Records.

Paul Oakenfold, one of electronic music's long-standing DJs and producers, will release A LIVELY MIND, a brand new full-length album for Maverick Records that introduces the next element of his career.

A Lively Mind--a title which means "an active person," says its creator--features 12 new songs composed and created by Oakenfold. The album is the result of three years of dedication. His debut artist album, Bunkka was released in 2002 and featured such popular singles as "Ready, Steady, Go" and "Starry Eyed Surprise". Bunkka sold over a million copies worldwide. It showcased such guest vocalists as Perry Farrell, Ice Cube, Tricky, Nelly Furtado, and--in what would turn out to be his final recorded appearance--Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. A Lively Mind continues the tradition of employing unique vocalists.

This time around, Brittany Murphy, known for her roles in such films as 8 Mile and Sin City, makes her vocal recording debut on the album's upcoming first single, "Faster Kill Pussycat." The actress-turned-diva was recommended to Oakenfold by a mutual friend. "I was looking for a different genre and a different feel and something just original for me," explains Oakenfold. "I knew I wanted a girl vocalist but also someone who's not known as a singer. It had to be someone from a completely different world than mine.
