The Polyphonic Spree, which has spent the spring and summer on the road behind its latest release, The Fragile Army, has announced dates for a co-bill tour with Los Angeles rockers Rooney.
The Polyphonic Spree will warm up for the trek with an appearance October 12 at The Echo Project near Atlanta. Other acts on the bill include The Flaming Lips, Thievery Corporation, Les Claypool, The Bravery, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and The Killers.
The Person to Person Tour kicks off October 14 at Crofoot in Pontiac, Mich., and runs through mid-November. Other theatres and clubs on the itinerary include the Vic Theatre in Chicago (October 17), the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, Colo. (October 22), the Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore. (October 29), Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Calif. (November 1), and the Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston (November 8).
Opening duties on most dates will be handled by Chicago quartet The Redwalls.
The Polyphonic Spree and Rooney will close out their journey with an appearance November 10 at the Talleyrand Music & Arts Festival at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Fla.
