Eric Estrada doesnt know his own strength.
Never apologize to Eric Estrada for stopping him for a picture with the intention of him loosening his grip. This only causes him to clamp down harder. I laughed out of pure fear of the man's death grip, and this picture is the result.
I also let the James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) pass me by in the hall while I was frozen like a deer in headlights.
This is a re-enactment of what a photo of Matthew would have looked like, had I the nerve to stop them at that moment:
(actual photo taken day after I saw him, stolen from the vast reaches of the interweb, from someone with guts.)
Here is what the Phelps twins looked like that next day, too, at the signing.
(also stolen, because I opted for the professional picture with the three of them - which I have not recieved yet.)
I realize the three of them and their posse are heading towards the elevator, so I just sort of turn, and walk with my friend Chad to the elevator. And stand there. Next to James or Oliver, who even knows, for about a full minute, "casually" waiting for the elevator. And then get in it. And ride up, 47 floors, jammed in with the Weasley twins and Neville Longbottom, saying NOTHING, because I'm a tard. Matthew was the only one really talking, quietly, to who I assume was his cute blonde girlfriend. He said that "floor 47 had the 'special room'" and he also joked about jumping up and down in the elevator... an idea that, if acted on, may have made me grip onto a Weasley for dear life, so I'm sort of sad that he didnt.
Did I mention that we had no intention of riding this elevator to the top of the hotel and nowehere to go? We just took it back down again and got off.
In other news, David Faustino (Bud Bundy from Married With Children) still exists. Here he is at a "rave" style party at the convention, wearing a hideous outfit:
Here he is with us... to be fair, we're in costumes. He is not.
(he made me feel like an Amazon.)
Fun fact: I passed him at about 2 am on the street, and tried to give him a high five. He totally just walked by me and burned me. OUCH. Burned by an F-list star. (My friends have consoled me, saying that perhaps he just didnt feel like jumping.)
Also, Ron Glass from Firefly/Serenity was there. I didnt talk to him, but here's a picture of him talking to She-Ra:
Also, Doc Hammer from Venture Bros was there... he put on a great panel (live commentary,) and gave out free art prints of Dr. Girlfriend, which he then set up a signing for.
He's the only guest that I could speak to, that didnt diss me or manhandle me. Fantastic to his fans. Much <3
