I think in their conference thing they talked about how their future really depends on how promotions go.
I don’t think it’ll be a revaluation thing if they decide to occasionally promote as a group, but once every other year or so? If they decide to keep going?
My 2 cents is that when compared to the rest of SNSD's discography it feels more like a promo song rather than a proper comeback, but when compared to a lot of other recent kpop releases, this is high art. Any song that has actual *singing* in the chorus instead of just sing-talking is a win in my book.
They are the group that got me into kpop back in 2009 with Gee. I was super shocked seeing their promo pics after such a long time of not hearing about them much (after they kicked Jessica I bailed too lol), they look so different with all the surgeries. I really hope they did it on their own and not because SM pushed them to.
There were a few members it took me a while to recognize, especially Sunny. It looks like she went straight from the clinic to the MV shoot, like her face didn't have time to settle first. Taeyeon's been morphing for a while so it was less shocking.
Edited to ask, who's the member at 1:07? Is that Yuri?
Seriously. WTF happened to Taeyeon's nose? She lowkey looks like Voldemort. I didn't even recognize Sunny, it's for real looks like she got botox'd up right before the shoot.
The mv is abit strange. The lip syncing and the filter is giving uncanny valley and it seems like they filmed them all separately. But the song is a bop and it's a jam.
this reminds me of tv show finale song or something? i like it though!
i really enjoyed the album - i like lucky like that, villain, you better run, freedom and paper plane. i don't know if this is the last album from them, but if it is, it's a good one to finish on.
It’s nice but tbh a whole MV about how they can all do outside activities but still come back after kicking someone out for outside activities is a HUGE eye roll for me. I’m glad everyone seemed to get decent singing parts, Yuri & Seohyun sounded great and it wasn’t totally Tiffany centered which is nice. I agree with the comment above about this possibly being the only "reunion" album so I’ll be interested to see how promo goes.

im not ashamed to admit i wept a little! they look and sound amazing - hyoyeon KILLED IT AS PER!!!
but man, it's crazy. been stanning them from 2008 to now, from a teen to my now late twenties - and they're still the nation's girl group serving hits.
wahh this week's been a constant feed of nostalgia: pokemon, bey's album, and now this <3 i feast.
Korea don't care about American copyright laws....if you watch any of their variety shows they just play copyrighted music left and right. It's wild how often the score from Avengers and Harry Potter comes up. Early Gee promo straight up used the Disney font.
I really like it! But tbh I wasn't exactly expecting them to release groundbreaking music for their 15th anniversary so my expectations were not super high. It's cheerful and great for summer.
They all look really good though BUT Sooyoung at the end in that gold dress is everything.
While I am fully aware of the varied reasons why an OT9 reunion will simply just never happen - both because of how SM & the girls fed the clashing narrative and now because Jessica is moved on and because it's been three whole albums & several years since then - whenever the group is all together I do still wish she was there or even just acknowledged as an important part of their past. She was a main damn vocalist for years and years gaht dammit!
Regardless, even if the song just kind've happened & went nowhere I appreciate it being an actual song. The MV concept is cute, it's already stuck in my head and based on that line distribution with Hyoyeon getting basically nothing I guess it DOES feel like classic GG after all.
it's seriously so weird how they act as if jessica never existed. it's fine to be ot8 but the way they talk it's like it's been just the 8 of them from the start
It also feels like a farewell song.
To be fair, Viva Forever wasn’t a farewell song until it was🤣

Tiffany’s gathering the pregnancy tests now tbh
I'm with you on this one tbh

This MV is giving me Black Mirror vibes. They don't even look real. Are we sure they are not CGI?
* until one of us leaves
