Previously, on Le Sserafim: Hybe's newest girl group, Le Sserafim, debuted about two months ago. Within weeks lots of reports came in about one of the girls, Kim Garam, being a monster in high school. The details are fuzzy and Hybe hasn't been very forthcoming about it, but apparently numerous former schoolmates have come forward about being bullied by her. One victim in particular has lawyered up against Hybe.
Statement by the victim's lawyers: "The victim (henceforth named using the pseudonym Yoo Eunseo) was a victim of school violence from Kim Garam and her friends from late April to early May 2018. She transferred to a new school one to two weeks after the incidents, unable to withstand the continuous group violence. On June 4, 2018, the School Violence Countermeasures Committee was held and Kim Garam, a student who had committed school violence, was punished with six hours of special education...Her parents received five hours of special education in accordance with paragraph nine of the same article. Yoo Eunseo, a victim of school violence Yoo Eunseo, a victim of school violence, received psychological counseling and advice. The victim, Yoo Eunseo, voluntarily transferred because she could not withstand the continued bullying but she suffered from malicious rumors."
Hybe's response: "Contrary to the claims, it was confirmed through a third-party statement that Kim Ga-ram was a victim of school bullying, including malicious rumors and cyberbullying, when she was in middle school."
Yesterday, it was revealed that Garam would be resuming her schedule with the group in Japan. One conspiracy theory is that Hybe leaked Tae and Jennie from BTS and Blackpink dating in order to get people's minds off of this scandal, which doesn't make sense but okay. No word on what's happening legally behind the scenes, but there is severe backlash online so far. She has been spotted at the agency also, practicing with the group and signing promotional things.
