Back in my day *waves cane* I got the chain mail on AOL. My obsessive compulsive ass was so scared, I'd go in chatrooms and ask if I could send it to people. Enough people always said yes to "save" me.

But there was one I never sent. It was about finding love. "You are doomed to remain loveless" or some such for so many years. I wish I could remember how many years it was....feels like the curse should be over by now.

I only ever did a chain letter in the 90s and it was paper. I think the original sender was just trying to see how far it could go and how long.

Creepy posts were sooo good and ontd_creepy around 2010 was peak. After a while tho we were all just rehashing the same stories

There was one member who had this amazing story of driving somewhere out in the boonies late at night and they started seeing stains on the road idk it was a real simple story and prob nothing happened but the way they told it was soooo good and creepy

I miss creepy posts :( There are some subreddits with spooky stories but it isn't the same and I loved when commenters here had their own personal experiences.

im so glad these have fallen out of favor (at least where i spend time anyway). although a few years ago i did notice some of my twitter mutuals would RT stuff like "RT now or your mom will get sick!" and write "sorry guys i just care about my mom" or something

these and screamer vids, screamer vids had me scared to click a link for YEARS

There’s probably comments like that on tiktok the way there are (were?) on YouTube, I think I saw one when I first started my account but I pretty much block or mark uninterested any accounts with large followings/check marks so when I see a comment thread it’s usually just actual users and not that kind of spam

Same for YouTube (these days at least)— not sure if it’s just because youtubers are hiring moderators for their comment sections more or I’m watching the kind of creators who don’t like summon this kinda stuff but I haven’t seen a “OMG IM SO SORRY DONT READ…..IF U REAS THIS U MUST POST TO 10 ITHER PAGES OR U WILL DIE!!!” kinda comment in years

I went to a school very like Chilton in Gilmore Girls or Constance in Gossip Girl (like they seriously measured the length of our skirts and everyone got As), I remember when I was 12 the headteacher called me into her office because I had been accused of forwarding a chain email and I legit DID NOT. It’s laughable now but in retrospect it was so wrong of her to do this because she threatened me and said I would have a “black mark” on my file if she found out I was lying like I was some criminal lmao wtf

I saw Jared Padalecki at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

#LOVATICS please take the time to read this.

I met @/ddlovato recently, my name is madison (@/dinahbgc) and this is my M&G story. I met her October 20th of this year and it was horrific. She was rude, not classy and she lost a long time lovatic that day. I walked into the $350 M&G and say hello she replies with "fat" and I shook it off because I thought maybe I had heard her wrong. As I approached her and asked to do my pose she stared at me blank faced. I continued talking "you saved my life" I say. "You're the reason I'm alive today". She looks me dead in the eye and says "you'll die soon enough, fatty" and then whispered "obesity". I started crying I had never felt pain like this and she started laughing and said "are you crying? Stop it. Stop it now" and she flicked my vagina. The photographer took the picture and I headed out of the M&G section and that's when Demi started speaking whale to me. I still can't believe this happened. I cried writing this. I wish this weren't true but Demi Lovato is in fact; a horrible person. Thank you for reading this.
