Alec Baldwin said in an upcoming interview for ABC News, that he did not pull the trigger of the gun on the set of the film “Rust,” which ended up killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42 and wounding its director, Joel Souza, 48.
"I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them — never" said Baldwin.
That was after the interviewer Stephanopoulos noted that it had not been part of the script for the trigger to be pulled in that scene:
“Well, the trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger.”
However, he didn't explain why the gun gone off or why there were real bullets in the gun.
The full interview will air tomorrow.
