And then people more familiar with K-dramas can roast me in the comments and tell me that I'm a n00b who doesn't know shit and my opinions are all wrong or something, idk. Or maybe this list will give other K-drama newbies something to do over the holiday weekend.
1. Crash Landing On You - 9.5/10
What is it about? When I tell you what this show is about, you're going to immediately close this post, but please, trust me, the show itself is really good. The basic premise of the show is that a South Korean woman named Se-ri, who comes from a wealthy family that runs a massive conglomerate and who now owns her own successful store and beauty/lifestyle brand, goes paragliding and a freak storm blows her into North Korea. (Look, just go with the shaky premise because the story is worth it!) Se-ri is found by a captain in the North Korean military named Jeong-hyeok and the tl;dr of it is that Jeong-hyeok and the four men under his command who were out on patrol with him decide to hide Se-ri and get her back to South Korea in order to cover their own asses. And then of course, while Se-ri is staying in Jeong-hyeok's house, looking for a way to get out of North Korea, feelings start to develop.
Would I recommend it? HELL YES. This was my second Kdrama experience and was so wildly different from Squid Game and yet I loved it completely. I only docked half a point in the rating because I think the ending was unsatisfying and I'm salty about it. But overall the leads had amazing chemistry and the central romance was perfectly executed. I also really enjoyed getting to know the residents of the North Korean village that Jeong-hyeok lives in and the secondary romance was really sweet too!

PHEW. You made it to the end of this too long post. And now I am going to run over to the tag suggestion post to suggest a K-drama tag because I was looking for one before submitting the post and there is none! Feel free to recommend your own favorite K-dramas in the comments! I can always use more shows to add to my 'to watch' list.
