The 'Eternals' cast won't be making in-person appearances to promote the Marvel movie currently after possible exposure to COVID-19. https://t.co/u3mRKJdGLx— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) October 20, 2021
Last night, the Eternal stars withdrew last minute from the Elle Magazine‘s 2021 Women In Hollywood gala event due to potential exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Lauren Ridloff were all supposed to attend the event.
Nina Garcia said from the stage that "Those superheroes are now in super isolation"
In a statement, a Disney spokesperson says the promo is switching to virtual appearances for the time being:
"Earlier today we were made aware of a possible exposure to COVID-19, and while all of our talent have tested negative, out of an abundance of caution, we are pivoting to virtual appearances rather than in-person events."
