Adele Claims She Can't Afford to Live in London

Poor Adele! She recently purchased three houses in Los Angeles for a total of $30 million, but London was simply too expensive for her!

According to her, “The kind of house I have in L.A. I could never afford in London. Ever.”

Her homes in L.A. total 18,000 square feet (5,486 meters) combined. She simply couldn't settle for 17,000 square feet in London!

Can you afford real estate in your city, ONTD?

Yes, I already own property you peasant
Maybe someday!
Nope, nope, nope

manifesting a sugar parent right tf now 🙏🏿
I wish I could afford a house in LA lol
I need the option for I own property that I can’t afford anymore. Old homes suck.
I live in the Bay Area so I feel like unless I get lucky I’ll never buy a home here lol. I got lucky with my apartment
I was able to buy a small house with my fiance just before prices skyrocketed in this stupid city (Tampa.) Housing and rental prices are ridiculous here. It's Florida for fuck's sake.
Omg my parents have a house in Bradenton that's so fucking cookie cutter, I could never pick it out if you put me at the end of their block. Yet that fucker's increased in value by like 300,000$ in a couple years. Fucking what?
I could not BELIEVE how much stuff gained in value out in those suburbs.
ugh don't talk to me about real estate -__-
The $30 million price tag is what's most crazy to me. My house was built 6 years ago, and at the price we paid per square foot an 18,000 sq ft house would only cost $1.59 million. At it's current value, $2.85 million. Her price per sq ft is more than my mortgage payment, woof.

That's super lucky!

lmao I literally cannot at the comments talking about how ~c'mon this is not what she's saying at all~ as if the point isn't her statement reeking of privilege and lack of self-awareness.

Good thing her fans are all prepared to cape for the thieving sis bc this is probably going to be her problematique era.
Shut the fuck up
lol I knew what she meant by the LA/London comparison, but it’s still so out of touch wealthy person to complain about that in front of us normies lol

Anyway I know the lead single has fo be typical Adele but I’m hoping this new album has her spicing things up at least a bit sonically, tempo wise, etc. I can’t do another straight ballad album with marginal returns (IMO 19 was stellar, 21 above average, 25 a bit average)
I can't afford to live in London either, bestie!
Nothing is forcing her to purchase a giant house like that, she could get a nice average size house instead of a giant house so not going to have much sympathy for her.
I wonder if she means land—she probably couldn’t get the kind of green space in London that she was able to get in the LA area.
